Speaker 1 (00:00):
Two Pros and a cup of Joe, Fox Sports Radio.
LaVar Arrington, Jonas Knox with you here. Coming up on
this Football Friday, We're going to look back on Thursday
Night football, a tale of two halves. Did the Jets
save their season? And what do the Texans do moving forward?
Eight sacks? It didn't look good. They got all sorts
of problems we will discuss. We're also going to have
a discussion about two quarterbacks in the NFL who may

(00:22):
or may not be playing and what that means for
their teams moving forward. We will get into a conversation
about one of the bigger messes in the NFL and
why players may be turning on their coaches. It's the
game of the weekend and the world of college football
and maybe the NFL. Two penn State, Ohio State. We
set the scene in state college. We've got our picks

(00:42):
against the spread, We've got coaches who are held hostage
by their quarterbacks contract situations, and we've got Lee's leftovers.
It's all yours coming up next here, Two pros and
a cup of Joe on a Football Friday, Fox Sports Radio.
Let's give this.

Speaker 2 (00:58):
You're listening to fuck Sports Radio, hard right hand by Ornyton.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
It is two pros and a cup of Joe Fox
Sports Radio, LaVar Arrington, Jonas Knox with you here. No
Brady Quinn surprise ped test while trick or treating and
he pissed hot so you're on the gas. You feel
the wrath. He will be out for this show based
on this one day suspension here from us because he

(01:44):
violated our peed policy here. So is what it is, man,
We drive a hard, hard bargain around here.

Speaker 3 (01:50):
Hey, man, get well soon, to get well soon.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
So we are going to take you all the way
up until nine am Eastern time, six o'clock Pacific. You
can listen to this show as always on the iHeartRadio app.
You can find us on hundreds of affiliates all across
the country and wherever you are. We appreciate you making
us a part of your post Halloween football Friday. Here
all doing it live from the tire rack dot Com

(02:14):
studios tirac dot com. We'll help you get there an
unmatched selection, fast free shipping, free road hazard protection, then
over ten thousand recommended installers tire rack dot com. The
way tire buying should be. All of that huh so
we're gonna catch up with lead to lab at some
point to find out what the hell is Halloween look like?
But I know, if you're a New York Jets fan,

(02:35):
there was a tale of two Halloweens. There was the
first half Halloween, and then there was the second half Halloween.
The first half Halloween looked like a bag of vomit.
The second not all that bad. Not all that bad
in the second half. I'm still an utter disbelief at
which parts. So that they won, that Houston gave up

(02:58):
eight sacks.

Speaker 4 (03:01):
That they won, yeah that was barely, but nonetheless, I mean,
I guess now Wood he can come from wherever it
is he's hiding. Yeah, where'd he go, by the way,
wherever it is that he's hiding. Since saying that we're
gonna win right away, we had to do a culture shift.
We had to get it right now. We're going to

(03:23):
win because we got Xerxes out the way.

Speaker 1 (03:27):
Whatody Johnson pops up to fire coaches and then goes
back into hiding. What's he doing?

Speaker 4 (03:31):
I don't know. I mean, he's finally got some you know,
some validation. I guess is that what we're gonna call it?
I mean, like I was, what is wrong with the Texans?

Speaker 1 (03:41):
Man, Well, I don't think they're all that hot yet.
You're right, I've been impressed with listen November. If you're
going to be that team, which I mean there's still
I still consider them to be a pretty decent team.
But you're now in no vent.

Speaker 4 (04:00):
You can't be losing to teams that you're supposed to
be at this point in the season. You're supposed to
be starting to trend in whatever direction. The type of
team you're in, you're supposed to be starting to trend
in that direction. So if you're a good team, you
should be trending in that direction. If you're a bad team,
you'll probably continue to trend in that direction. So I

(04:25):
don't know, if you've been a pretty decent team and
you're a bad team, you're going to trend in the
direction of being a bad team. That's just where we're
at at this point in the season. Like it's it's
week nine. Everybody like this is nice.

Speaker 3 (04:40):
That's a real loss.

Speaker 4 (04:42):
Like you can't sit there and be like, oh, the
New York Jets, Oh they stole one, Like, no, Dan, this.

Speaker 3 (04:48):
Is week nine.

Speaker 1 (04:49):
I mean, time flies like We're Week nine, so we're
at the halfway point of the season, and it is
kind of shaping up as to you are what you are.
I still just don't have any clue what the hell
is the Jets are like, I don't know what they like.
I thought I had an understanding last night. So first
offensive series, Rogers overthrows DeVante Adams the booze start. I'm like,

(05:12):
oh god, and I remember, and I'm watching the game
last night, thinking, you know, I've heard this before, and
I realized, oh, that's right. This was a Thursday night
game against the Jaguars a couple of years ago when
the Jets were playing Jacksonville at home at MetLife and
it was Zach Wilson who was getting booed off the field.

(05:33):
It was the same reaction, and this is Aaron Rodgers.
And then you're showing Fireman Ed. I did like al
Michael's taking a couple of swipes at Fireman Ed during
the course of the broadcast last night. But like that
whole first half, Davante Adams had a drop. It was terrible.
And then something happened in the second half. They found

(05:54):
a rhythm. They got some people Garrett Wilson's catch is
one of the great catches you'll ever see, and you
look at it and you go, okay, well maybe that's
the start. Maybe this is what sparks them and sends
them on this run, and then you realize, well, no,
we've probably thought that the last time they wont a game,
which was also a Thursday night, and that was weeks ago.
So I don't know what to do, Like, I really

(06:17):
why not, Like I don't know what. I don't know
what to make of the team. I really don't, and
it's it's very bizarre.

Speaker 4 (06:23):
It's not a very good team. It's not a very
good team. I mean, I was expecting them to get
their their win. They're they're one, you know, shot of
hope in the arm against the Patriots, and they didn't
even do that. I don't think you can come away

(06:44):
from this game and think that this is like what,
I don't know what type of team it is, Sure
you do, it's not a good team. Now, if they
transition from not being a good team to living up
to the potential that that exists on their roster, then
that that remains to be seen. But that's why it's sports.
That's the beauty of sports is that things can change.

(07:05):
They can decide that they want this thing to change,
and there's the possibilities that they can they can make
that change, and they can try to make those improvements.

Speaker 3 (07:17):
I don't see that. I don't see that.

Speaker 4 (07:20):
And if that's what it's going to be, if that's
what it's going to turn into, the seeing is believing.
But until we see some consistency out of what they're doing,
I don't think last night gave me any real indication
that this is now the start of the Jets going

(07:42):
in the right direction. I'll say I won't say that
it doesn't, but it certainly is not an emphatic Okay,
now here we go. This is the Jets that we've
been waiting to see. I didn't see that last night.

Speaker 3 (07:55):
Did you?

Speaker 1 (07:56):
I mean you want to? You want to hear from
Aaron Rodgers, Rogers mister optimistic when it comes to the
Jets side. He spoke post game.

Speaker 5 (08:05):
Here, he was kind of season on the line there
in second half. Obviously we wouldn't have been mathematically eliminated,
but mentally to go to two and seven would have
been real tough. Hopefully, let's get this confidence so that
we can be anybody, because we feel like we could.
The way we played on offense in the second half
is the way we've been kind of waiting for this
offense to wake up. And I know, obviously I was,

(08:26):
you know, close to perfection as I needed to be,
but that's the standard I need to play at.

Speaker 4 (08:32):
So said that again, he wasn't as close to perfection
as he needed to be.

Speaker 1 (08:36):
No, No, and he kind of owned that. He was
so wow. He was on Amazon Prime post game, but
he you know, he basically said, like I just missthrows,
I wasn't good, and that's true, and it's you know,
look there they are three to one, like it's plus
three hundred. They make the playoffs courtesy of DraftKings. So
the overwhelming sentiment is that they're not going to make

(08:58):
the playoffs, and if they do make the playoffs, they're
going to be a wild card team. So they're going
to be going on the road, which maybe that's a
good thing because that fan base seems like it's on
the brink of hating everybody in New York based on
what the Yankees did in the World Series. But I
just I don't I almost would would have been happier
had they just continued to play like garbage in the

(09:19):
first half into the second half and been like, oh,
that's it, Okay, we're good here, Like now I have
an understanding.

Speaker 3 (09:26):
But isn't that why we love sports?

Speaker 1 (09:27):
It's just a tease, man, because you look, it's all right,
Breese Hall is really really talented, Rogers is talented, Davante
Adams is talented. Garrett Wilson is talented. The defense was
I mean, harassing the hell out of CJ. Stroud and
destroying that offensive line last night, And and then you

(09:49):
come away from it, you go, all right, is it
gonna be another five weeks before they win a game again? Like?
I just don't know.

Speaker 4 (09:56):
But isn't that how bad teams are, don't they? F
I was pretty much on a bad team almost every
single year in the pros outside of going to New
York my last year?

Speaker 1 (10:09):
Didn't you puncture Chris Simms's lung? Was that you that
did that for the Bucks in a playoff game? Maybe?
I don't know, Lee, Can we look that up? Can
you just Google search? Did LeVar Arrington almost kill Chris Simms?
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (10:23):
I almost killed Brad Johnson damn destroyed him in Tampa.

Speaker 1 (10:28):
Listen.

Speaker 4 (10:30):
But I guess the point I was going to make
is a bad team still has the ability to win games.
Like my rookie year, we beat the Ravens and they
won the Super Bowl, and we were heavily loaded team
personnel wise. You know about the looks of it on paper,

(10:51):
but we did not perform that way. So to me,
there has to be a level of insistency before you
can start to have the conversation. One win does not
lend to the conversation of this team turning it around.

Speaker 1 (11:10):
Now.

Speaker 4 (11:11):
One game can lead like you have to start with
one before you could get to two, three and four.
So the fact that they have one win in their
in their books, it's a feel good win because the
Texans to me, whether I mean you don't like them
or believe in them, but their record would say otherwise.
The record would say that they're a pretty good team.

(11:32):
I know that they're on the losing skid now, but
their record would still say that this is a team
to be, you know, be dealt with like that. They're
they're going to give you a game, They're going to
be problems. They're a winning team. But you don't feel
that way about the Jets, And I kind of felt like,
honestly going into the game, what the Texans run over them?

Speaker 1 (11:55):
You know?

Speaker 4 (11:55):
They what they can, you know, continue to put dirt
on what would seemingly be a team that's in you know,
in the casket and in the ground. But there is
some life, you know. I don't know how much life
there is, but there is some life and what it
is that they have going on. So now they're at

(12:16):
what two wins? Three three, three wins?

Speaker 1 (12:19):
We're trying to short them at it could be a lie.
Did we get the confirmation on Levar's assault of Chris Sims?

Speaker 6 (12:31):
What I did find was that Chris Simms did rupture
his spleen in a game versus Carolina, and he thought
he had punctured his lung.

Speaker 1 (12:38):
Okay, all right, but you did win a playoff game
at Tampa. We did win a playoff. Yeah, didn't you
have an interception of that? You did?

Speaker 4 (12:45):
And then I had Marley, who had a hell of
a game, shouts out to Rudy, she had a hell
of a game last night.

Speaker 1 (12:53):
So for l m U shouts out to the l
m U Lions Hank's house.

Speaker 4 (13:00):
So they have the Cardinals, next, the Colts, the Seahawks,
the Dolphins, the Jags, the Rams, the Bills, and the
Dolphins again.

Speaker 1 (13:11):
All right, let's let's let's just start with the Cardinals, Colts,
and Seahawks. They go to Arizona. Yeah that's a nail.

Speaker 4 (13:18):
Do you really do you? I mean, the Arizona Cardinals
are not a bad team. They're not a great team,
but they're not a bad team. So playing at home
time change. I mean, yeah, there's the possibility that they
can win the game, but I think they'll lose.

Speaker 1 (13:37):
I mean, they go, they go, send them over to
Bourbon and Bones, get a nice rabbi before the game.
Everything should be fine, man, one of those smoky drinks.

Speaker 4 (13:44):
Okay, so you add that as another one. So four wins.
They have the Colts at home. How do you feel
about that? They can beat Indy? They can beat Indy,
although I feel less confident.

Speaker 1 (13:57):
Okay, so what do you think, no offense, Anthony Richardson,
They can beat Indy? All right, so five wins and
then Seattle again, I have no idea. They have them
at home. Yeah it's possible, it's possible. Okay, six wins.
The next three games, just the.

Speaker 4 (14:14):
Dolphins and the Dolphins. I don't see it. Not if
two is healthy.

Speaker 1 (14:20):
It's a road game and then a road game against
jackson I can't see them beating Jacksonville. So how many
wins is that? Seven? Yeah? Seven wins the Rams at home?
They could be the Rams.

Speaker 4 (14:34):
Not the way they just played, not the way that
offense just looked. If if if PoCA and and uh
and Cups stay healthy and Stafford stay healthy, I don't
see that as a win.

Speaker 1 (14:47):
That's too much offense. I mean, they're basically the Jets
are looking like a nine come on the top team.

Speaker 4 (14:58):
I think there. I think there's ceiling. Is what I
said it was. They won't break ten wins that they
can get to nine. I can see them getting to nine.
One of those games we gave them as a dub.
They're not going to win one of them. One of
those games we gave them as a dub, they're not
going to win. Not as we get later into the season.

Speaker 1 (15:20):
By the way, how about your guy, Malachi Corley. I
just deciding, uh, you know, I'm just gonna leave this
ball here before I get into the end zone. I'll
just go ahead and set this right here, set it
right down. It's like it wasn't even close. Jeff Olbrich,
the coach of the Jets for you, spoke about that
move last night.

Speaker 7 (15:40):
Definitely frustrated, you know, to be honest and and angry
at the same time, But what an amazing opportunity for
this kid to grow and learn from. You know, I
promise you ten years from now, when he's still playing
in this league that will never happen again.

Speaker 1 (15:57):
What did you say to him after that?

Speaker 7 (15:59):
First of all, you can't do back, and second of all, yoist.

Speaker 1 (16:01):
One, yeah, there you go. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (16:04):
So it's listen, you're it is a he's a guy.
You know, they're they're lucky to have a guy being
at the helm. He's a guy. He's one of us.
You know, he played the game. He's a linebacker. So
when I say he's one of us, he's literally one
of us. So he's tough, heart, knows guy. He's like
a Campbell type of guy.

Speaker 1 (16:24):
He went to he went to linebacker you Hawaii, of course,
I mean, yeah, I'm hitting to LBU today. Hell yeah uh.
Two pros and a cup of Joe here on Fox
Sports Radio, LeVar Arrington, Jonas Knox of the ear. Oh
by the way, I forgot to mention this important show
note here. Get you set for this extravaganza here, what

Speaker 4 (17:16):
You're going to super Bowl now, just going to the
super Bowl.

Speaker 1 (17:22):
Now here we go, here we go.

Speaker 3 (17:24):
All right, all right, let's do it for Eddie, do it?

Speaker 1 (17:28):

That's next here on FSR.

Speaker 10 (18:24):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Errington, and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern three am Pacific

Speaker 1 (18:39):
Yeah, damn, that's who's back? Oh they fixed the button? No,
they fix this button? Did they? Yeah? Finally, Who do
you think? Uh? I don't know, but guess who's back.
Guess who's back. Guess who's back. Guess who's back. Guess
who's back. Guess who's back. Who do you think got

(19:03):
enough stroke in this place to get the button checked? Yeah?
My on button back because we've been complaining about it
for a couple of weeks.

Speaker 4 (19:09):
I almost was going to have to stay home until
we got the on button fixed. You know, I'm not
coming in until they fixed the on button. I'll be
trying to compile my list of things that I need
to use to be able to stay home till somebody
I will not be coming back in the studio until

(19:30):
someone fixes this guy dang on button.

Speaker 1 (19:34):
Oh Man, two Pros and a cup of Joe Here
on Fox Sports Radio, LeVar Arrington Brady No Brady Quinn. Sorry,
that's just a slip here. Brady's not with us because
he pissed Todd pds. Two Pros and a cup of
Joe here help Fox Sports Radio coming up.

Speaker 3 (19:49):
And h that's h e LP better help.

Speaker 1 (19:54):
Bro coming up. A little over fifteen minutes from now,
you will hear people. Look because it's the team. People
are going to take this and run with it. But
just some honest, honest commentary on the quarterback situation around
the NFL and somebody who might have been left out,
So we will have that for you again here a

(20:14):
little over fifteen minutes from now. Now, as Eddie Garcia mentioned,
there's two quarterbacks whose health we should be monitoring. I mean,
I guess you could throw Jayden Daniels in there if
you wanted to, But there's two quarterbacks who we were monitoring,
the first of which is Jordan Love. Our friends listening
state wide in Wisconsin right now. It's a big time

(20:35):
matchup this weekend against the Detroit Lions. He's dealing with
the groin issue. It didn't seem like he would play doctor.
David Chow right after the injury and right after the
game over the weekend said, look, he could probably push
pushing it to come back this weekend. Probably better serve
to come back after the bye. The only problem is

(20:58):
they've got the Lions this week and whether it could
be an issue. There's a chance of rand and they
guests sixty percent chance of rain. Is what I saw.
You've got the groin issue. To me, if there's a
chance at reaggravating this, I know it's the Lions. I
personally would rather sit him and I would rather get

(21:20):
him back after the buye, which is actually two by
weeks in a row, because if we got the Bears
after the buy and they don't lose to the Bears.
So I look at it and go, yes, it's the Lions.
Yes it's the division, it's an important game. But if
you're going to run the risk of reaggravating the injury
and he's going to be out for an even more
extended period of time, I don't know that that's the

(21:41):
smartest move in the world if you're the Packer. We
just saw a Pooka Nakua.

Speaker 4 (21:45):
I mean, as Lee was saying, kind of the report
was he may have reaggravated Yeah, a previous injury that
he's dealing with. That's like the worst thing that could
ever happen. I mean, not ever, but it's it's on
the list when you reaggravate something that you're in need
of healing from. And I think that that goes for

(22:08):
all of them. It isn't just the situation with Jordan Love.
I think there's sensibility to what it is that you're saying,
but I also think there's the idea in understanding that
this is sports, and this is a game of perseverance, attrition, guts.
You know, no guts, no glory. Sometimes you gotta play hurt.

(22:30):
In fact, most times you have to play hurt. It's
just a matter of what the level of hurt that
you're at right It's if it's a danger zone hurt
where it could lead to like a straight up you know,
you missing time based off of it, then you have

(22:51):
to be smart in your approach and you have to
kind of feel your way through it. Sometimes you can go,
sometimes you can't, and sometimes you don't. Find out if
you can until you try. And so I would say
if Jordan Love feels like he can give it a
go at some point during this week, if he can

(23:12):
show that he can get in there and he can
handle it, then yeah, you play. I mean, this isn't
like an injury, like a concussion, where you don't really
have the choice. You have to pass protocols and do
all those things. This is one of those deals where
you wrap it up, you figure out if you can

(23:35):
move the right way, and you want to try not
to injure it or aggravate it any more than you
already have. And like I said, that goes for Jaydeon Daniels,
you know, and what he's got going on. Lamar Jackson,
for whatever it is he got. What's Lamar Jackson's reported
is right.

Speaker 1 (23:53):
So Lamar Jackson's the other one and a DNP for
a second straight day. He's got knee and back injury.
They tried to say it was a rest day, and
then you've got reporters thereon Baltimore they're like, h you know,
he's got like a knee and back stuff. The problem
with Lamar Jackson is I just can't take it serious

(24:15):
because it feels like Lamar Jackson misses more practice than
anybody in the history of the NFL, but still shows
up in plays. And so I don't know if it's
whether he's sick, whether this is legitimate injuries. But as
we pointed out, you know it is week nine, like
this stuff is starting to you know, we're over two
months into the season basically, and Pete Prisco always says

(24:39):
like this is a survival league now, Like it's like
it's a war of attrition, like now, I mean, it
feels like with the added game that I don't know
if it's because there's more coverage now or maybe you
guys just played through it and it wasn't discussed a lot.

Speaker 4 (24:56):
I think it's always been a survival game. You have
to you have to make it. You have to endure
to the end. Like that's that's part of what makes
the game of football so special is that you have
so many guys. It's like the game with the most guys,

(25:18):
and you have to keep all of those guys going
in the right direction at the you know, at the
right moments and time in order to have success. And
that includes the unseen, you know, issues that may hit
a team, like injuries, and so it's always been a

(25:40):
survival league. It's just I believe you make a good
point when you say basically that you're going to pay
attention a little bit more because of the coverage. The
idea of what injuries are and mental and emotional health
is at an all time high. There's just there's just
a larger level of sensitivities that surround the game of football.

(26:04):
But make no mistake about it, it's always been a
survival league. You know, those who are able to maintain
that constant you know, growth and improvement through the injuries,
through the changing of the seasons, if you're in one
of those places, because that plays a part. There's a

(26:26):
lot that goes into having success at the pro level
and not any other level because you know, college deals
with it, high school deals with it, hell youth league
deal You learn to start dealing with those things and coping,
building your coping mechanisms. You start to do that at
an early age, whether you're aware of it or not.

(26:47):
So I just look at where where these guys are
right now in the week that they're in and some
of these teams, I mean, Baltimore just had a tough loss,
but they're in a great position to be able to
do what they want to do with this season. The
Washington Commanders are in the same type of position to
do what it is that they want to do. Both

(27:07):
teams are in position to win the division. All three
teams are in position to win the division. And you
just mentioned you know, Green Bay is going to go
up against Detroit. It's an important game. So if you
can play through a growing injury, you play through the
growing injury. I don't I don't think that turns into
now this whole idea of bubble wrapping your players or

(27:29):
oh my gosh, he could get hurt again, this, that
and the other. If the kid can play, he can play.
He may not be out one hundred percent. He may
look tobbled. If you got to put Malik Willis in,
then you put Malik Willis in. He seemed to show
some good signs of being able to carry the load
for them until Jordan Love is able to get back.

(27:49):
But for what it's worth, this is a very very
big game for their season, and if Jordan Love can
go and he can give them that type of production
that has made them a contender this year, then you.

Speaker 1 (28:02):
Go, I'm not playing them. I just like to me,
it's weather conditions or if he it's a groin he
pops that again, what are we talking about here? I mean,
that's something like you've got to be real careful with.
And I just look at it and I say, you
can cheat. I know it's a big game. If this
wasn't Detroit, I don't think it's a conversation.

Speaker 4 (28:23):
I don't think he's playing clearly, never had those nectars
of the Gods.

Speaker 3 (28:26):
Bro.

Speaker 4 (28:26):
You get that thing wrapped up, You get that thing
wrapped up nice and tight, the thigh goes around the hip,
then you get that Nectar's of the Gods, brou you
make it through a Sunday.

Speaker 1 (28:38):
Okay, it's a Sunday, So it's a game. So let
me ask you this. It's a groin issue. So they
pull out that javelin juice and they can shove it
in what an hour before kickoff and then saying you
know you can do it, and then what's it feel
like about six hours later?

Speaker 4 (28:51):
That that thing might have like some bruising in It
might be pitch black, you know from the blood and
the bruising and all that. But then you start, you know,
when when do they have the buye right after yep, okay.

Speaker 1 (29:03):
And like I said, two buys because they got the bears.

Speaker 4 (29:05):
After that, you hit that thing with that ultrasound, you know,
get some ice on it, keep stretching it, you know,
making sure that it's healing up the way that it
needs to heal up, and you keep wrapping it up.
You just go through the proper protocols of what you know,
the the rehab of of that that injury is, and
you keep going. That's what I would That's what I

(29:29):
would assume if it's tolerable, like a growing injury, unless
unless it is pooled.

Speaker 3 (29:35):
If it's a pool.

Speaker 4 (29:36):
Growing, he's not playing anyway, Jonas, like it's it's not
a pool is different than just like a strain, like
if you strained it like versus like a complete pool.
Like complete pool, you barely can walk, like you barely
can walk, like he's probably swinging that leg around all

(29:58):
kinds of different things. It's like verbal can't, yeah, yeah,
swing swing that leg up. But but if it's not
pulled and and you can, you know, wrap it up
and and and continue on again.

Speaker 3 (30:18):
You know.

Speaker 4 (30:19):
Brady had that conversation about mental toughness, earlier in the week.
And I think it kind of comes down to that
that that survival that you're we're talking about Survival League
and different things like that. It's all a mindset, Jonas, Right,
when you think about it, the approach to what it
is that you're going to do and how you're going
to play the game is all a mindset. And if

(30:40):
your mindset is to be a victim, like, Oh, I'm hurt,
I'm hurt, I'm hurt, I can't play play me when
when I'm one hundred percent, You're never going to be
one hundred percent for one and for two. How many
weeks does it take for you to get to a
point of where you feel good and feel safe about
your growing Like sometimes it just comes down to the

(31:00):
mental mindset of if I am healthy enough to play,
I'm going to play My seventy sixty five eighty percent
is better for our team than one hundred percent or
ninety percent of another guy. And I think that it
just ultimately comes down to what your mindset is, and
if your mindset is geared towards I'm going to get

(31:23):
it done no matter what, no matter what. There used
to be a mentality carry me off on my shield.
I don't know how many guys carry that mantra too
much anymore, but that used to be. You know, it's funny.
I could ultimately say at one point, I could tell
that there was a difference. I would ask players, are

(31:44):
you willing to die for it? Like when you go
out there and you play, are you willing to bust
your gut and play this game? Where you're willing You're
you're so vested in what it is that you're doing
for yourself and for your team and for the community
that you represent, that you're willing to die for because
that's how I was raised in Pittsburgh. You're you're like

(32:05):
you are, you are trained that way you are. It's
it's very military like. It's very military like in the
way that that your your brainwashed into thinking about how
you approach the game of football. So to me, I
started hearing guys hike, look at me like or listen
to me, and they'd be like, die for it? Like, well,

(32:28):
you what do you? What do you mean? And I
knew that there was a change, there was a shift
taking place. We do have a little bit of an
update on Lamar Jackson. So Jerry Coleman Sports with Coleman,
one of the all time great NFL reporters who's covered
Baltimore sports for a long time.

Speaker 1 (32:47):
Uh, he said that today's the day to really monitor
when it comes to Lamar Jackson. If he doesn't practice today,
we got a problem because that'll be three straight days
in a row that he has not practiced. He all
to pointed out that, you know, quarterbacks usually don't get
veteran days off. So when John Harvough kind of threw

(33:07):
that out there, as we speculated, Jerry along with some others,
kind of gave a little bit of a side. I like,
maybe this is a little bit more concerning than than
we first thought. So that's the one to monitor. Jordan
love Lamar jacks This week they've got why am I
blanket on? Who Oh? The Ravens have this week? Damn it?

(33:27):
Give me one sec. The Baltimore Ravens have. Yeah, the Broncos.

Speaker 4 (33:32):
That's a tough game. Yeah, now all of a sudden,
that's a tough game. Do they have to travel there? No,
it's home game. Well that's not bad. Whatever the injury is,
it's never going to be as bad if you don't
have to travel.

Speaker 1 (33:42):
Ay Man Denver's defense. I look, I know Sean Payton
and bow Nix and running up the score and all
that stuff. Like one of the real telltale signs as
to whether or not you're a great defense is yard
per yards per play average. And they're number one in
the league like they are fantast So that's a tough
test for Baltimore coming off that rough week against the

(34:05):
Cleveland Browns last week. But today's the day out of
kind of monitor.

Speaker 4 (34:09):

Speaker 6 (36:16):
They were talking about the Commander's quarterback Jayon and Daniels
impressive play.

Speaker 3 (36:19):
Take a listen.

Speaker 9 (36:20):
Where would you rank him among quarterbacks right now? I
would say it's definitely top ten higher. You think he's top.

Speaker 1 (36:26):
Five for sure? Who else you put in your top
five right now?

Speaker 9 (36:30):
I'm gonna go him.

Speaker 1 (36:31):
I'm gonna go Mahomes Mar gotta have Mar. Yeah, Shosh
is Jalen playing pretty good right now too?

Speaker 3 (36:38):
Jared Golf is the top five quarterback right now.

Speaker 9 (36:42):
And Matthew Stafford bro I love how Matthew Stafford played
the quarterback position every like Sam Donald playing and it
could be in the top five conversation right now. Yeah,
Sam Donald looking so a lot of my quarterbacks right now.
I can't give you a top five right now based
on how everybody's performed.

Speaker 4 (36:59):
Oh no, Dak, huh this Tang. They just excluded their
own teammates.

Speaker 1 (37:04):
Looked like they rattled up everybody from Sam Dark.

Speaker 4 (37:06):
There's just too many to name the top five. Dang,
Dak Prescott ain't one of them.

Speaker 1 (37:13):
What the top five is? We just know that Dak
Prescott ain't on that list.

Speaker 2 (37:18):
Man.

Speaker 1 (37:18):
You know, upon further review, there's a ton of great
quarterbacks out there. I love the way Matthew Stafford played.
None of them here, but he's coming to Dallas. It's like, hey,
who's the most beautiful woman of the world. You name
off thirty women, none of them, Tang. That's cold blooded.

Speaker 4 (37:38):
I'd be side eyeing them if I was walking in
the locker room if I heard that.

Speaker 1 (37:44):
Man, is there any follow up on that? Do they
have to clarify that afterwards? After people pointed out it's
just the cowboys are I mean, you talk about a
mess like there's I.

Speaker 4 (37:56):
Think that's stone cold gangster though, like keep it real,
I mean, you're going to keep it all the way real,
keep it all the way real. I mean, but I'm
sure Dak could clap back and say I could. I
could pay y'all's contracts and still be good.

Speaker 3 (38:10):
I can make it.

Speaker 1 (38:12):
I can make a rain on both of y'all and
still be good. That's right,
