about the fact that Daniel Jones got demoted. You know,
it's his best friend on the team. You know, just
felt like, you know, he deserved a little better, et cetera,

et cetera, kind of escapegoat. Other players have kind of
hinted at that. And then Drew Locke, who was number
two on the depth chart, spoke yesterday just about his
demotion from two or actually him staying at too, with
Danny DeVito jumping him from three to one, and have
this to say, how do you not wonder, well, why

was I the number two the whole time?

Then why was he? Why wasn't he the number two?

Like, how do you expect anybody in the locker room,
if they've got a little bit of flexibility, to be like, no, no, no,
you guys are telling us we need to keep playing
hard when you're literally saying we're not starting our best
player at that position because we're trying to make it
better for the organization from a financial standpoint, so we.

Don't get him hurt. But like, how does that hurt?
How does that not piss people off? There that are well,
clearly people are bothered.
Speaker 4 (11:59):
Well, the other thing is you will see guys make
business decisions. I mean, you're gonna see guys decide to
go an ir. We'll get surgery who've been putting it off.
Stuff like that happens all the time. I mean, other guys,
they'll have some hamstring issues pop up once we get
to that point in season. I mean it happens every
year with teams that are tanking. Are very obvious about it.

Guys want to try to, you know, preserve their body
for the following season. Whether it's for that team or
everyone else in the NFL. As much as it is
painful to admit that to a lot of people out there,
that's just the truth. That's usually how this works. I mean,
can I know on a couple of occasions where guys
needed to get some stuff done, they're just like, all right,
time to get it cleaned up. It'd rather be one

hundred percent healthy for the off season next year or
for free agency as opposed to having to deal with
not being able to pass the physical. Then, so the
messages is set, it's loud and clear, and there'll be
some guys who go out there and want to prove
themselves because they have to, like they don't have that
veteran resume to live off of, Like this is the

shot that they get, so they have to make the
most of it. But some of those veterans, veteran guys
who are more solidified, they some of them will start
making some business decisions.

I think anytime you get to a point in the
season where you're doing so poorly where these become the conversations,
it's it's just ultimately, for one, it's it's it's not productive.
For two, it definitely continues to erode what is a

very very fine reputation in terms of how that organization
is led and how it's ran. And I think it
also becomes I think it becomes a discussion internally in
terms of you know, obviously what's next, you know what's

what's if? This is where you are, because if you're
a player, you have an opinion so strong where you're saying, Okay,
this is the wrong decision to make. Well, when the
season wasn't lost, what was the right decision to make?
Because you all together have gotten to the place of

where this season is lost. So whether he's the blame solely,
whether you're all to blame, whatever it is at the
point in time of which you are a team that
isn't good, does it? Does it? Does a player? Does

a team? Should they have should their word? Should it
matter at this point if they believe it's the right
decision or not? I think that that would be to
me a legitimate question. Does does the opinion of this
is horrible? You're giving your punting on the season? No,
you guys already punted on the season. You already punted

on the season. So to say this isn't the right decision.
I mean, clearly they haven't been making the right decisions.
Your offense went through one player, that one player you
said wasn't worth paying you get rid of them. You
already see that there are bad decisions being made. So
to me, when you get to this point in the season,
if the team, First of all, I think it's kind

of funny when people say business decisions, like is the
team making a business decision? Is the player making a
business decision? I think it's a weird saying. Because it's business,
you should always be making business decisions. I mean, in reality,
so if this team is making a decision that they're
going to sit this player down because they feel like

he's a more valuable asset to try to get rid
of and not get them hurt, then what's the offense
for it. You should be offended that, y'all stink. That's
where the offense should come in, not in a season
where it's over and you're looking at Oh, they benched
them because they don't want them to get hurt. That's

not the best decision. You could put in whoever you
want to put in at that position. In fact, they
could put in whoever they want to put in at
your position because whatever the right decision was, whatever the
right answer was, when it mattered, y'all didn't win games.
The right decisions didn't lead to you being a team
that won games. So what does it matter? Like, honestly,

at this point, is that mock outrage, like oh that's
my friend, Like oh he's the best one for the job.
Maybe he is, but he's not the best one for
the job now because y'all stink and you're not going
anywhere this year? So what does it matter? I mean,
but he's not the best quarterback on the team. But

So what does it matter? That's just I don't know.
I mean, I think I think realistically us as players,
it matters to us because you don't want to quit.

the franchise at this point. And as if if I'm
a player, I think what represents me is me at
this point, how I handle coming to work how I
go to practice, how I play in the games. That's
all that matters, because what else matters. You're a two

a two win team. What doesn't matter. If it was
a better decision to play Daniel Jones rather than play
uh de veto, what doesn't matter. What doesn't matter. That's
a weird, weird spot to be in. But why be

you know, you guys are putting.

it's not their job to put the best players. It's
their job to control their controllables. Okay, players controllables are
their controllables. You put your uniform on, you can control that.

Maybe he might be taking online classes. Maybe he might
be going to the local uh, the the hospitals, or
you know, preparing to give food out for for the holidays,
whatever it may be. Just know you're a pro. So
show up the work, do your job, do it the

who cord cut a while ago, they've dealt with this
for a long time. But until it becomes more mainstream,

two on the depth chart, spoke yesterday just about his
demotion from two or actually him staying at too, with

can I know on a couple of occasions where guys

time to get it cleaned up. It'd rather be one

hundred percent healthy for the off season next year or
for free agency as opposed to having to deal with
not being able to pass the physical. Then, so the

some guys who go out there and want to prove
themselves because they have to, like they don't have that

shot that they get, so they have to make the
most of it. But some of those veterans, veteran guys
who are more solidified, they some of them will start
making some business decisions.

For two, it definitely continues to erode what is a

this is the wrong decision to make. Well, when the
season wasn't lost, what was the right decision to make?
Because you all together have gotten to the place of

whether you're all to blame, whatever it is at the
point in time of which you are a team that
isn't good, does it? Does it? Does a player? Does

matter at this point if they believe it's the right

me a legitimate question. Does does the opinion of this
is horrible? You're giving your punting on the season? No,

Your offense went through one player, that one player you

team making a business decision? Is the player making a

of and not get them hurt, then what's the offense

want to put in at that position. In fact, they

in the news for a couple of reasons yesterday, one
of them being, you know, following the opening the firing

of Tom Herman by Flora Florida Atlantic, Adam Schefter reported
that mister Ray Lewis is now a candidate for the
head coaching job.
Speaker 3 (39:45):
Problem is a lot of other reports came out.
Speaker 6 (39:48):
Refuting that, along the lines of saying it isn't happening
and other candidates are are being pursued.
Speaker 4 (39:57):
I mean, so now we're just missed. I mean, look,
Schefter does an amazing job. Does he get it right
one hundred percent of the time? No, I remember distinctly.
I think I actually I had him on for an
interview one time when I was working for a different employer.
He at Schefter and he had stated that he thought
(40:18):
Adrian Peterson was done. And I'm almost positive Peterson signed
like an hour later that day, like the interview ended
and he signed like another contract for another year or two.
Might have played for like two or three more years
at that point. So look, the reality is these guys
do the best they can to pass along the information
they have.

Would you want to see Ray Lewis as a hey coach, Nope.

I think they'd be better off with Charlie Weis junior man.
He's been there, they were successful during the time when
Kiffen was there. I think that's a more legitimate candidate
to pursue, at least that's been there.

Does he have any coaching experience? Right?

Yeah, right, okay, all right, he's got experience a player, Yeah, definitely, Yeah,
