Pros and a Cup of Joe here on Fox Sports Radio.
LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox to you here live
from South Florida, the site of an instant classic that
took place last night at the Orange Bowl between Penn
State and Notre Dame. The fight and Irish getting it
done on a field goal in the closing moments and

(01:14):
on their way to the national championship first time since
twenty thirteen, and we are going to do it all
live here today from the tire Raq dot com Studios, tire.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
Rack dot com. We'll help you get there at.

Speaker 7 (01:24):
Unmatched selection, fast free shipping, free road has a protection
and over ten thousand recommended installers. Tireraq dot com the
way tire buying should be.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
That was a hell of a football. Foremost, it was
a good game, damn.

Speaker 6 (01:40):
Good, an incredible game. Come on, var No, I'm gonna
let you go.

Speaker 4 (01:43):
Yeah one, so go, yeah, you know, I'll let you go, y'all.
Let you lead off with it.

Speaker 8 (01:49):
I thought that was probably one of the best semifinal games,
maybe the best semi final game since you know the
playoff has started. Yeah, Typically, typically in the four team playoffs,
the semi final games have not been close.

Speaker 6 (02:04):
It's been runaways. And that was a game that first half.

Speaker 8 (02:07):
You could say it started slow, but I thought that
was more of a defensive battle. That was the strength
of both teams. Both teams made adjustments, both teams started
score more there in the second half. There were some
mistakes there, teams are capitalizing out those mistakes.

Speaker 6 (02:21):
I just I thought it was an.

Speaker 8 (02:23):
Awesome representation of two blue bloods in college football. But
more than anything else, man like, just you know, the
win for Notre Dame has been the epitome of what
their season's been. I mean, guys getting heart, guys stepping up,
you know, guys finding.

Speaker 6 (02:40):
Ways to get the job done.

Speaker 8 (02:42):
I mean they're down to their third left tackle of
the season, Tosh Baker came in and it was able
to kind of get the job done then. So credits
to Marcus Freeman, credit to that staff that all the players.

Speaker 6 (02:54):
Like, every single person that's part of it.

Speaker 8 (02:56):
You know, I think it's been incredible to watch that
team that's got so many guys that are now in backups,
that are starters, and now they get the shot to play.

Speaker 6 (03:05):
For a national championship. It truly is remarkable.

Speaker 4 (03:08):
You know. The first thought I had, outside of my
obvious thoughts being a Penn Stater, which wouldn't be appropriate
for radio, I thought to myself, the college football Playoff,
whether people want to condemn it or you criticize it

(03:30):
intensely and fiercely. I thought last night was one of
those stories that says, listen, a season is a season,
and it develops it It has changes, it has turns, twists,
storyline plots that change, and you have.

Speaker 6 (03:53):
A team playing.

Speaker 4 (03:55):
For the national title that lost to Northern Illinois earlier
on in the season. So to me, what it says
is it's not how you start, it's ultimately what a
team does, which in the true nature of competition and learning,

(04:16):
because I look at sport as a microcosm of real
life and learning valuable lessons as a football player. First
and foremost, I was just super proud to be a
letterman and alumni of Penn State and us be out

(04:36):
there on the field with a team that bolstered and
had the same feel from their alumni and their letterman
and from their fans in the stands. It was a
mirror image of programs. And what really stood out to
me was and looking at how that team played, there

(05:00):
was so much guts, and I'll say both teams, there
was so much guts involved in that game. And you
could tell that neither team wanted to lose that game,
neither team. And you could say that about other games
or other teams, but I just felt like it was
just so evident in last night's game. And whether people

(05:25):
would say, Okay, well this team didn't belong there, that, that, this,
that and the other, like if you earn your way
into the tournament, I don't give a damn from there
who you lost to. I don't give a damn about
all these other elements that people try to present to
the scenario. If you find a way to get into

(05:46):
the tournament, anything goes from there. And now you have
Notre Dame in the national title game, and it's well deserved.
It was a hard fought game, and again I thought
both teams played their hearts out. They left it on
the field, and I was a proud I was truly

(06:06):
proud to be a part of it, like to have
been there. I was like, man, this is a crazy,
really really good game, and I was happy to be there.
I just it just sucks that we were on the
other side of it, you know, as a former player
and as an alumni. It just it just sucked to
come out on the other side of it, you know.
But but you know, hats off the Notre Dame. Honestly,

(06:27):
like it couldn't have been a better team for us
to have our season end than to lose to a
team like I said, that mirrored the heart of what
we represent, you know. And then that's just going out
there and laying it on the line and trying to
be the best that you can be. And they just
happened to be the better team with one field goal

(06:49):
at the end of the game. So good for them
and good luck to them.

Speaker 7 (06:52):
From a South Carolina gamecock. By the way, I just
want to point that out. And then there you getting
it done there. Yeah, by the way, the seeing was
fantastic at the start of that game.

Speaker 4 (07:02):
It was so loud. It was amazing. Man.

Speaker 2 (07:06):
I was expecting, well, it's neutral site.

Speaker 7 (07:08):
I know it's a big game, but you know you're
gonna get a split, and you know, who knows what.

Speaker 2 (07:12):
That place was loud as hell.

Speaker 7 (07:14):
And people were I thought both programs represented themselves, not
just from a football standpoint, but from a fan based stamp.

Speaker 4 (07:22):
It was pretty dope. Really well, it was pretty dope. Yeah.
It was awesome. Notre Dame in them Catholics, but they
was rocking. Man, they were rocking. I adn't think that,
you know, I ain't think no church. There weren't no
Bible thumpers up in there. Last night, I'll tell you that.
I realized that and experienced that on my way out
to the shuttle back to the hotel too. You know.

Speaker 8 (07:44):
Yeah, one thing about like the journey to get to
this point is and I'll pull back the colonel. I'll
be very transparent, honest. You know, we talk about things
sometimes on the show, and sometimes we hint at things,
we mentioned things, but we're not like fully transparent. This
has been a long time in the making in the

(08:04):
sense of, you know, when you go back to how
Notre Dame ultimately got here, this was all sparked by
the decision of Brian Kelly to choose to go to LSU.
Brian Kelly, the head coach at LSU, who back when
he left Notre Dame, and I think he believed he
said sometime and you know in January that you know,

(08:24):
he won an environment where they had the resources to
win a national championship.

Speaker 6 (08:29):
That was his words. And just to be fully honest
and transparent.

Speaker 8 (08:34):
That sicked me off man literally January nineteenth, in twenty
twenty two. And after he said all these words, I
called my attorney the next day and I said, you're
going to file for a collective. This is what we're
going to do. This is how you're going to put
it together. I formed a board, started a fundraise, proved
the concept. After that started to bring out more people

(08:59):
and grow and expand and created a collective that had
their resources necessary to support this. So this is back
and all triggered because of Brian Kelly. And there are
so many people who stepped up from Notre Dame Nation
to help put together the resources necessary to support Marcus Freeman,

(09:22):
to support the players to be able to step up
because they were ticked off. I mean, I'm just one
of many. Like when I look at what our collective
was able to start and how we were able to
help out our football team, it was in large part
a call to action because of Brian Kelly.

Speaker 6 (09:43):
And if you look at where the.

Speaker 8 (09:45):
University is at now and the fact that they're building
onto their Sports performance center, you know, they've got millions
that they've been on a race through an IL and
support their program, and many players, which the quarterback Roley
Leonard probably off the top amongst everyone else.

Speaker 6 (10:02):
You know, is there in a big reason because of
an IL.

Speaker 8 (10:06):
You know, all those things to me, like, I take
great pride in and I think I know it's a
lot of people who took great pride in watching this team,
watching Marcus be able to succeed, and they took that
as a sign of disrespect from Brian Kelly. When he left.
So now that Notre Dame's there, they're playing for a

(10:27):
national championship, and I know there's a lot of people
who are like, hey, the mission's not done. This is
no different than Brian Kelly bs. This is very different
than when Brian Kelly had this football team. The way
Marcus has built this thing up, the way Notre Dame
is built up over his ten years so far, it
feels different because it is different. This isn't as this
is nothing comparable to what Brian Kelly was like when

(10:51):
he was the head coach there. They had some great teams,
the twenty twenty twelve team that went to a national
championship with man Titeo. You look at some of the
teams with Ian Book, you know, guys who were able
to get to the playoff. The way this team is playing,
the way it's built, the resources that they have, it's
on a different level now. So that's one of the

(11:12):
things that I kind of take away from a lot
of the folks I saw last night and take great
pride in so many people that like stepped up to
the call to action to be a part of it.
You know, it's so much and obviously everything is what
happens on the field, but there's a lot of things
that happened by and closed doors too, And I think
that's one of the things that like I'm proud of,

(11:33):
you know when you look at this, because college football
has changed in that way, like it's not just about
the players and coaches, it's like how they get there,
the roster construction, all the things behind it. So it
was very gratifying to see Notre Dame get there to
the national Championship game and a twelve team expanded playoff
before Brian Kelly's LSU team has even made it into

(11:56):
the College Football Playoff.

Speaker 2 (12:00):
There was some skeptics about.

Speaker 7 (12:02):
Whether or not Marcus Freeman, you know, if he wasn't
you know, with the program, would have gotten the job
or would have gotten a real look at it. And
so it's got to be pretty gratifying for him as
well too, because I remember there was a lot of
people like, well, he's just kind of a he's there,
and Brian Kelly put him in a tough spot, so
will give him the opportunity And this path that they
had to take, I think is way more difficult than

(12:25):
what Brian Kelly did in twenty thirteen, like to have
to go through the gauntlet to win that game last night,
Like it's a tremendous story, man, so good for good
for Notre Dame and uh, you know, fun fun environment.

Speaker 4 (12:37):
Through and through last night, I thought, yeah, yeah, I'm
I'm ticked off, and who you tick off? I'm going
I'm going to do the same exact things. Well I
have been doing the same exact things, you know, in
terms of assisting and supporting our you know, our collective
and our programs. So just continue to build. I mean,

(12:59):
I'm ticked off for greatness, that's all. You get so close,
you get so close, and you know it gets away
from you. But I'm so proud of our guys. They
went out there and they competed at such a high level,
and you know, just just hate to see it come
up short. I hate it for for Drew, you know,

(13:22):
I hate it for the rest of those guys, because
people will judge the game and base it upon Drew,
you know, throwing the ball, and I hate it for him.

Speaker 5 (13:32):
Can we give credit to the dB, like Chris Gray,
Like I know, we want to look at the result
and go oh, Drew out of the interceptions, like man
give the young man who made a plan on credit.

Speaker 8 (13:46):
I mean for starters too. Christian Gray's had his ups
and downs this season, and for that to be one
of the capitalizing moments to help get this team in
a position to be able to go to the national
championship again, it's speaks to the story of what their
season has been. You know, guys who've been knocked down,
the team that you know lost them, maybe was counted
Albers have the Northern Illinois loss, and yet they.

Speaker 6 (14:08):
Just keep fighting, keep standing right back up. Man.

Speaker 4 (14:12):
I think again, I think that that's the message that
I came away with from the game. It's just resiliency
and what sports sports teach you. You know, you take
that into the real world, into real life, like even
just getting up and being here this morning, Like I
did not want to be here to do the show
yesterday or today, especially yesterday.

Speaker 6 (14:32):
Yes so Bang in particular yesterday.

Speaker 4 (14:34):
Yeah, but you you learn those valuable lessons. You got
to show up, you got to be present, you got
to be available. You know, you got to put your
best foot forward. And you know these teams, both of
those teams that had their adversities that they've gone through
and their challenges that that they had to go through

(14:55):
and they had to endure, and and now one of
those teams is playing for national title. And I couldn't
be more prouder of our guys, even in a loss.
I couldn't be more prouder of those guys, the way
they came together and the way they competed and got
into the playoffs, and we were literally to two plays

(15:16):
away from from being in the National title. They had
their opportunities. You know, if Nick Singleton doesn't drop the
ball going in, that's that's that's seven points instead of
three points. You know, there were there were moments in
time where and in all honesty, I felt like Penn
State could have put their their foot on Notre Dame's

(15:38):
neck and finished the game off and Notre Dame wouldn't
go anywhere they they kept. They came back and tied
up the game when I thought that it would have
been an opportunity if we got them off the field,
you know, on defense, that we could open up a
gap in the score. And it didn't happen that way,

(15:58):
you know, and the next thing you know, it's tied up,
and then next thing you know, it's really a game
and then now it's like coming down to a matter
of you know, series and moments and how much time
is left and talk about understanding situational football and knowing
how to use your time outs and the clock management
of everything, and being you know, is he in range

(16:21):
to make the field gold or not? You know, all
kinds of different things that just you're you're paying attention to.
I mean, the field goal kicker had not had a
great uh you know, making percentage. I believe from where
he was at. What's that in the regular season right
the playoffs?

Speaker 2 (16:40):
Even of eighteen in the regular season or something like that.

Speaker 4 (16:43):
It was it was a low percentage.

Speaker 8 (16:48):
Eleven of eighteen is on the season, I believe in
total in the playoffs he's only missed.

Speaker 4 (16:52):
One so far. So and that was the biggest kick
that to date that he's going to kick. So it
was it was one of those things where you know,
and I thought he missed it. I thought it was
going wide right, and then it hooked back.

Speaker 8 (17:08):
Bro, can we get to like just where the hell
you and Lee were? So I'm chumming up from the
field after doing my thing with the Orange Bowl. I've
said this before, but everyone kept seeing me wearing an
orange jack Like, what the hell are you wearing?

Speaker 6 (17:25):
I'm like, I'm on the Orange Bowl Committee.

Speaker 8 (17:27):
I chaired the Hall of Fame Committee, Irban Meyer, Matt Leiner,
Vince Bulfork or getting in there's an on field presentation.
And then as I'm walking up with those guys taking
them up to the suite they're in, I get bumping
by Jonas who's with Lee, Like, what the hell are
you guys doing down here?

Speaker 6 (17:45):
And they're like, we're taking it out, man, where are
you going? They're like, oh, it's bumping around.

Speaker 4 (17:52):
I never see Brady Quinn.

Speaker 6 (17:55):
Well, that was the weird thing. I didn't. I never
saw I saw someone.

Speaker 4 (17:59):
Who saw you.

Speaker 6 (18:01):
I think Julius Jones, who I saw.

Speaker 4 (18:05):
Arrow to the guys that played with and played with
and I played with Jim in the Washington Yeah.

Speaker 6 (18:11):
So I literally I go where is he?

Speaker 8 (18:13):
And I popped out and I was like looking to
running down the hallway and they go, no, brother, Like
he's he's gone, he was there earlier, he left went
somewhere else. He's like, Okay, I tried, but I'm still
trying to figure out how the hell Jonas and Lee
got anywhere near.

Speaker 2 (18:26):
The field, so we we walked.

Speaker 4 (18:28):
In, uh, still walking around with his credential. Un I'm
certain that Lead Lead did not take his clothes off.
I'm certain. I'm certain that Lee Boy did what Lee
Boy did and just got up and you know, came down.

Speaker 8 (18:47):
And farting like all over us. I was the show
ended yesterday just smelling terrible.

Speaker 4 (18:55):
Take with you.

Speaker 8 (18:56):
It smelled like one of the one was like everything
you can throw on a pizza order that like you
let you left in the kitchen like overnight for two
days and like no one touched it.

Speaker 4 (19:06):
I broke win on the sideline yesterday Lee and blamed
it on some of the new beests. I turned around,
was like, oh gosh, which one of you was it?
And they looked they were like, you smelt it, you
dealted that said, that's such a rookie move. You know
you got that's why you have braces on, you little
little scrub like they were the earlier rolies that that

(19:27):
had their you know, their sweats on. And that was
really cool for me too, by the way, being on
the sideline with little LeVar with men Man and being
able to watch a lot of the game with him,
I mean talk about inspiration for the future. You know,
he was like, Dad, I just I wish I was
out there, Like, I know I could make a difference.

(19:48):
Like imagine sitting there hearing your son like that's a
crowning moment, Like he'll do what he's going to do
and handle his business the way he does. But just
to hear your son that like you smacked it, you know,
put his put his diapers on, and all kinds of stuff.
And now he's turned into a young man that's sitting
there telling you in the biggest game of the season
that you know, I wish I was out there because

(20:10):
I could make a difference. It's pretty cool. Man, shouts
out atricially. That's pretty That was a pretty humbling moment too, Man,
that's pretty humbling. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (20:21):
Cool environment. We got plenty of stories on the night,
I think trying to figure that out.

Speaker 7 (20:29):
I mean, if you're gonna take a nap, why wouldn't
it be in the back of an uber, you know,
leave it a stadium makes all the sense in the world.
So we've got we've got all the details from last night.
We're gonna get more into the game as well too.

Speaker 2 (20:41):
Uh. And it is, by the way, important I should.

Speaker 7 (20:44):
Remind you guys, because I don't know if we had
mentioned this earlier.

Speaker 4 (20:47):
But I'm not in to move for but go ahead
for what what you're going to do. It's a football Friday. Yeah,
I have no voice. I've lost voice.

Speaker 2 (20:55):
You know we finally hear right?

Speaker 7 (20:57):
You know.

Speaker 4 (21:16):
This place is coming man, Okay, do the next one right?
We want to get out of here. The next one. Yeah,
football Friday.

Speaker 2 (21:33):
It is a football Friday.

Speaker 7 (21:34):

Speaker 2 (22:38):
We will get into that for you again.

Speaker 7 (22:40):
Coming up a little over fifteen minutes from now, from
the tire rack dot Com studios.

Speaker 4 (22:44):
What are you left?

Speaker 2 (22:46):
So?

Speaker 4 (22:47):
Read the capture? Read the captures. I don't get it.
Hit and shoulders all. It looked like a skywalker as
dar Vader.

Speaker 7 (23:08):
All right, So can I just say this, I'm a
little tired of and I know people like to do
this whole Let's blame James Franklin. It's James Franklin's record
against top five teams. Jon did a whole article like
it's just and that was the go to last night
from so many people.

Speaker 2 (23:25):
Oh get James Franklin again. Can't win a big game.

Speaker 7 (23:28):
I didn't come away from that game thinking, man, James Franklin,
was really the difference between Penn State losing and winning
that game? Like Drew Awler throws that pick, how is
that on James Franklin?

Speaker 2 (23:39):
Right?

Speaker 4 (23:39):
Like I said, it was a tough game, a tough
play game, a well played games. It's unfortunate that Penn
State came out on the other side of it, the
wrong side of it. I feel like our program is
if people want to look at and live in the
negativity of what people choose to live in in terms

(24:00):
of negative things, that's on them. You know, if you're
an expert and and you're looking at this from a total,
you know, critical perspective, uh, well founded perspective. They had
an amazing season, they had an amazing run. They were
they were close as it gets as close as it

(24:26):
gets in a semi final round to advance and compete
for a national title. So anyone who wants to have,
you know, those types of criticisms towards coach Franklin, I
don't think that it's well founded. I think that all
things given, all elements that you take away from Again,

(24:46):
I hit an interview with the Wall Street Journal and
they did a They did a column on you know,
on that that very that very topic is that James
Franklin can't win the big game. And while while you
look at his record and say, you know it is

(25:07):
it's a damning stat that he hasn't had a better
more than one win against you know, a super super
highly ranked you know program, like a top five program.
And I understand where people will see that stat and
they will make their judgments, but you also have to

(25:29):
take into consideration what that man has done for that program.
He came into a beer beer cupboard program. It was
after the whole scandal took place. Bill O'Brien used up,
used up Joe Paterno's last last recruiting classes and got

(25:49):
out of there. There was nothing there. And so when
you look at what he's been able to do and recruiting,
people say, oh, well he can recruit, he can't coach. Okay,
he can recruit and he can coach. You don't get
into the positions that he's gotten into if you can't coach.
And you also take into consideration that he has placed

(26:12):
I think it's like seven, seven or eight of his
coordinators have gone on to be head coaches in other places.
So he's constantly trying to replace coaches who you basically
go to Penn State to go become a head coach somewhere.
We had Manny Diaz last year, if people recall, yeah,
you know, we have Tom Allen this year, who was

(26:34):
a successful coach in his own right as a head
coach before he even came to Penn State. So I
just think that when people it's such an old narrative
to me, and till it gets to that, I hope
it gets to the point of where people actually realize
what this man is accomplishing. And as you just said,

(26:54):
and I let you have it, get tired of using
that as your lead story or your league thought on
James Franklin.

Speaker 8 (27:04):
So let me just give you some facts because I
think a lot of people in college football tend to
have a short memory.

Speaker 6 (27:14):
Nick Saban, would you guys.

Speaker 8 (27:15):
Agree he's the most successful college football coach ever?

Speaker 6 (27:18):
Yes?

Speaker 4 (27:19):
Absolute?

Speaker 6 (27:21):
Did people know he won.

Speaker 8 (27:22):
His first national championship at fifty two years old? His
first at fifty two. He's seventy three years old, and
I know he's out of it, but like at fifty
two years old, you know, old James Franklin Is he's
fifty two, Like he just got his team within a game,

(27:43):
really a field goal three points of being able to
have a shot to go play for a national championship.

Speaker 6 (27:50):
He's won double digit wins the last three seasons.

Speaker 4 (27:53):
In a row.

Speaker 6 (27:53):
He's done that with six times during his ten yere
at Penn State.

Speaker 8 (27:58):
Like, give the man a little bit credit. And this
goes the same for Ryan Day he's forty five. Like
we keep acting like all these coaches need to all
of a sudden become Nick Saban and then they because
they're at a high stated, because they're at Penn, stated,
because they're at Georgia whoever else, like the expectations of well,

(28:18):
they should win.

Speaker 6 (28:18):
A national championship by now. He took Nick sab until
he's fifty two.

Speaker 8 (28:24):
He coached a long time, and he went on an
unbelievable run, obviously mostly with Bama. I mean one went
to LSU, but you know, mostly when he got to Bama.
So I just I wish people understood that this stuff
takes time. Man, Like, like a lot of these coaches too,
who are molding into you know, some of the top

(28:46):
in college football, Like they're still young in this game.
So I look at it and just kind of go,
you know, James Franklin has done an incredible job at
Penn State, and I know we always kind of throw
on the top five you know, uh, his win lost
reggor versus top five opponents.

Speaker 6 (29:06):
Dude, there's not many coaches that have a great win
lost regga vers Top five opponents. It's just it's just
the reality of it. Let's you're a top five team too.
More often than now, you're the underdog. You're not winning
those games.

Speaker 8 (29:18):
So they they are as close as they've ever been
in my opinion right now under James Franklin, as close
as they've ever been.

Speaker 6 (29:27):
I don't know. I mean, bar you tell me.

Speaker 8 (29:30):
But like right now, this team, like where this group
is at, where everything's building, this team is going to
be a contender.

Speaker 6 (29:37):
They're going to continue to keep being in the College
Football Playoff.

Speaker 8 (29:40):
Eventually they'll crack the seal as well.

Speaker 4 (29:43):
Like I said, sometimes you gotta be careful for what
it is that you try to manifest and draw towards you.
If you're trying to manifest and draw tords you getting
rid of James Franklin as your head coach. As a media,
as a fan. You know, whatever else it may be,

(30:05):
you just got to be careful because you just might
get what you want. Yes, this team is competitive. Yes,
this team has created a culture and a standard, and
you can see it with all of the early and
enroll leides that were there and all of the players
that are on the sideline that are going to eventually

(30:26):
take over starting roles for this team. The standard has
been created, and that's why they're able to have the
sustained success they have every single season. Is that a
next guy comes in on Michael Parsons leaves, an Abdul
Carter comes in and continues to take on the same
type of element that he did when when Micah was playing.

(30:49):
You have it. It exists at all the different positions,
and so to me, they are one hundred percent of
competitive team. They're going in the right direction. They continue
to go in the right direction. And I just hope
for the sake of all of us that do understand
how difficult it is, because I ultimately feel like people

(31:13):
may not really take the time to remove the emotions
from cheering for your team or your university and look
at the difficulty that it is to have success as
a college program, you can find yourself with a coach

(31:37):
that doesn't win those games that you thought were, oh,
those aren't air quotes big games. Every game is a
big game, Like every game you play matters, and so
when you win the games that they say you're supposed
to win, that's not a given. So if you're judging

(31:57):
him based off of the games that he loses, which
is a very very small amount in which he does,
and you're able to look at what he's been able
to create and what he's been able to sustain and
what he's been able to build. I think he's done
an amazing job. I think he's one of the premier
coaches in the coaching game. And just like I said,

(32:19):
just be careful and what it is that you be
trying to do and what you try to say and
try to if you want to try to push him
out of there, because if you push him out of there,
you bring somebody else in there. It's not a guarantee
that you're going to get what it is that this
man has brought in terms of value to the program.

Speaker 2 (32:35):
If they fired him, he'd get a job, and a harpeat.

Speaker 4 (32:38):
Not only would he get a job, he get a
premier job, and good luck to the coach that's coming
in on what he's going to do in terms of players,
because I can guarantee you every last one of those
five stars, four stars recruits players that scholarship players they're
leaving and they're going to try to go to where

(32:58):
James Franklin goes on. It would be a massive impact
on not to mention moving forward, what that looks like.
I love State College, but it is a hard place
to get to and to be able to recruit it
the way that he does and get people to choose
State College over the Gainesville's and the USC's and those

(33:21):
other schools that it's easier to get to. It's not easy.
It's not easy.

Speaker 6 (33:26):
Hey Lee, are you still drunk? I can't get the
guy to respond?

Speaker 4 (33:34):
I mean, right here?

Speaker 6 (33:39):
Can you respond to anything? To be professional? Right now?

Speaker 9 (33:45):
Hey buddy, I'm right here, buddy.

Speaker 6 (33:48):
How are you feeling right now?

Speaker 2 (33:49):
I've been calling you all morning.

Speaker 6 (33:52):
Calling me, calling me all morning?

Speaker 4 (33:56):

hell happened?

Speaker 7 (34:13):
Yeah, Like, and I gotta be like, out on these streets,
you're gonna need.

Speaker 4 (34:17):
A burner when you walk around. I mean you do.
And it's the best offense is having that good defense,
and that's a burner. You don't want to play around
with you personal safety, It's important, make it a priority.

of the stadium last night.

Speaker 8 (36:23):

Speaker 6 (36:27):
I was trying to get those guys situated.

Speaker 9 (36:31):
Uh yeah, No, it was a fun time last night.
Took a little power nap in the uber there and
uber back. So what you call it, yeah, power nap. Yeah,
that's a strong power nap.

Speaker 6 (36:43):
So you guys left the game early, is what you're saying.

Speaker 9 (36:46):
We left it somewhere in the second half, in the
third quarter.

Speaker 6 (36:49):
Right when I got good. That's that's such a Jonas move.

Speaker 8 (36:53):
Jonas is the type of guy where like everything's going great,
it's only about to get better.

Speaker 6 (36:57):
Jonah's like a play socks. Let's get out of here,
of percent.

Speaker 4 (37:00):
Listen.

Speaker 6 (37:00):
Yeah, let's go to a bar. Let's strap up at
a bar somewhere and go get a drink there.

Speaker 2 (37:04):
Yeah, man, I made it clear I was gone at halftime.

Speaker 9 (37:08):
I made it clear after I got my oysters though, And.

Speaker 7 (37:11):
It took a long walk to get it right out
of there. Yeah, have oysters that were the size of
trash can leads, the.

Speaker 10 (37:18):
Big, biggest oysters I've ever had. Where we found our
club somewhere in the battles. I just keep walking, you
know me, I just like you know, I just keep walking.
Everyone's like, yeah, he's cool man, he just blamed the record.

Speaker 6 (37:36):
What what kind of pass did you have for the game?

Speaker 9 (37:40):
I don't think I had one at all.

Speaker 4 (37:41):
No, I had uh.

Speaker 10 (37:43):
I don't know what they call a red pass, but credential, credential,
media media credential.

Speaker 6 (37:48):
You and Jonas had a credential, did varround?

Speaker 4 (37:52):
Yeah, that's why we're getting around.

Speaker 9 (37:55):
I think you were supposed to be yellow. You're supposed
to have yellow and.

Speaker 4 (38:01):
Green where we were at. Are you are you?

Speaker 9 (38:04):
I can't I can't hear Brady.

Speaker 4 (38:06):
Brady asked you, did you get us credentials?

Speaker 9 (38:10):
I got Brady a credential?

Speaker 4 (38:12):
Oh, well you got dude. I talked you, Carol.

Speaker 8 (38:15):
You did not get me a credential. The credential I
had was from the Orange Bowl. That had nothing to
do with you. That's why I kept asking you if
you got me by credential.

Speaker 10 (38:24):
Brian and Carroll I was talking to them and they
were like, yeah, we gave Brady his credential that you
emailed us about.

Speaker 6 (38:28):
It was like I could believe not the same thing
falls completely different credential.

Speaker 7 (38:35):
At least a credential. Guy like he's the googer. I
mean he would have had that hand.

Speaker 4 (38:39):
I mean, I was where you were at, Brady.

Speaker 9 (38:42):
But if you had called me having oysters with me,
it's been awesome.

Speaker 8 (38:45):
Because Lee was like too busy getting his credential on,
trying to go gigantic oysters underneath.

Speaker 2 (38:51):
Like why why couldn't you get them a credential? What's
the problem?

Speaker 10 (38:55):
Hey, whatever you want, just let me know I got you.

Speaker 6 (38:59):
You don't got me, dog, you don't. You don't know.

Speaker 9 (39:04):
Brady, I'm calling you, say, like, what do you want?
I know you're I know you're busy.

Speaker 4 (39:08):
You're you're busy.

Speaker 2 (39:08):
Guy, he wants a credential.

Speaker 6 (39:11):
We're not talking about Lee.

Speaker 2 (39:13):
He wants a credendal is Lee still drunk
