the way tire buying should be so good news for
Laker fans. JJ Reddick, head coach of The Lake Show.
He told reporters yesterday that.

Speaker 4 (01:17):
Luca the arrow is pointed up.

Speaker 3 (01:20):
He talked about Luca battling back from a calf injury,
and yesterday JJ said he'll be fine. That extra five
six days of All Star break was good for him.
His minutes will be up, and I don't think that
there's going to be any sort of restrictions going forward.

Speaker 4 (01:40):
So there you go.

Speaker 3 (01:43):
They're in action tonight against the Hornets. So Luka Doncic,
maybe a little bit more minutes, maybe a little bit
more production in limited action. He played up back to back, well,
not on consecutive nights, but two games against the Utah Jazz, right,
and in forty seven minutes. Right, He only played twenty

(02:05):
four minutes one game, twenty three minutes the other the
next game, but in forty seven minutes, which is you know,
like close to a full game combined, he had thirty points,
nine rebounds, eight assists. So for Luca, that's just okay,
easing him in calf injury, you know, new teammates.

Speaker 4 (02:26):
He'll be fine. But for tonight, we might have to
go to the betting window over here.

Speaker 3 (02:32):
You know, I was gonna do instead of bet MGM,
bet plax, you know, with Plexico Buris, but unfortunately that's
not gonna work out.

Speaker 4 (02:44):
So let's do the next best thing. How about bet coop?
What do you think about this? Huh. Instead of bet MGM,
let's go to bet Coop over here. Well, you have
a gambling problem.

Speaker 5 (02:59):
You know.

Speaker 3 (02:59):
I've got questions here, so I'm keeping track. I've got
a bunch of Luca prop bets for tonight. Coop, you're
a Lake Show fan, so against the Charlotte Hornets, I
want you to make the call on some of these. Okay,
all right, keeping track, I have six categories to throw

(03:20):
your way. Let's start with points again. JJ Reddick says
his minutes will be going up, no restrictions going forward,
Luca over or under twenty six and a half points
tonight against Charlotte. I'm gonna go under under, okay, sharp,
I like it. Seven and a half assists for Luca

(03:43):
over over, Okay, it's gonna be dishing it same number,
seven and a half rebounds.

Speaker 4 (03:51):
I like that line.

Speaker 6 (03:52):
I feel like it's gonna be right around there.

Speaker 4 (03:54):
Uh huh.

Speaker 6 (03:56):
I would stay away from it because I'm feeling like
six or seven rebounds. It would be the under, I guess,
But so I guess if you forced me, i'd have
to say the under.

Speaker 4 (04:05):
Okay, under with an asterisk, right, fair enough? Yeah? Okay?
Three pointers, three and a half for Luca. Hmmm, let's go.

Speaker 6 (04:22):
Let's go over.

Speaker 3 (04:23):
Okay, it's gonna be uh making some threes, all right.
Now we get to the combined stats. Just two less
categories here for Luca. Do you like points and assists
or points in rebounds more? They're both at thirty four
and a half. So which do you like? Over under

(04:43):
points and assists or points and rebounds thirty four and
a half.

Speaker 6 (04:49):
I like the under on on both of those, do you?
I think because I think he's gonna I think he's
gonna have like twenty three points, okay, And I mean
I think even if he has ten assists, that's still under, right, So.

Speaker 4 (05:11):
Yeah, you're right, that's right.

Speaker 3 (05:12):
Yeah, And you have him over and assists, so you'd
be consistent, right, yeah, that it's possible. All right, I'm
keeping track here. I'll send you this and we'll see.
Maybe maybe this is a way to recoup the poker situation,
you know, and then the trip to Vegas is on

(05:34):
this weekend?

Speaker 4 (05:34):
What do you think? Yes, right, I don't know about that.

Speaker 3 (05:38):
Come on, just parlay all this together, put like fifty
bucks on it.

Speaker 4 (05:43):
You're back in the game.

Speaker 6 (05:45):
Can you parlay all that together?

Speaker 3 (05:47):
I think that's unfortunate. Yeah, they have to bet them
at many different shops, right, I have a lot of
exposure because you can't. You know, it's almost like even
money basically with all this stuff. So yeah, we'll see
how it goes. I like that, though you're going under
with a lot. I'll tell you this, man, it's gonna

(06:07):
be interesting tonight. One other thing to keep in mind,
Lebron he's got this foot injury. Remember at the last minute,
he's like, oh yeah, I'm not playing the All Star Game.
Just so you know, it's like, oh, okay, cool, thanks
for the heads up, LBJ. But he is listed at
bet MGM tonight, like his props are listed. Now, that
doesn't mean he's for sure playing, but that tends to

(06:31):
be an indication there is a great chance he's playing,
you know, like if he doesn't play, then it's just
no action. But a lot of these books, they wouldn't
be posting his numbers, they wouldn't be posting his points
if he's like gimpy and he there's a decent chance
he plays very limited minutes. So just him being posted

(06:54):
there is telling that they're at least expecting him to
give it a go, so that would have an impact
on Luca's numbers as well.

Speaker 6 (07:01):
Watch Luca go for forty points, fifteen rebounds, and two assists.
I know, welcome to the world of betting, man like,
and he's gonna have three three pointers if you have
the over. And I don't know how many times this
will happen, And this happened with a Jason Tatum for
me a couple of times where I'll take over I

(07:24):
don't know, like two and a half three pointers or
something like that, maybe over three and a half, and
he'll hit two three pointers immediately, and it'll get right
to the point where you're like, I just need one more.
And for a solid half he'll miss every three he takes,
like agonizingly close. It'll just like rim out and you're like,

(07:46):
oh my gosh. And then something weird happens. Maybe they're
leading by a lot, he's out of the game and
you just don't get there. So that happens a lot too, man,
that last whatever, that last point, that last rebound, that
last three. Yeah, sometimes you get hooked and there's nothing
that can be done. That's the way it goes sometimes.

(08:07):
But I'm excited for tonight.

Speaker 3 (08:08):
I want to see if we're only a couple of
I feel like we're only a few games away from
getting some Luca magic because he's being eased in. He
was out for a long time. He was out since
Christmas with that calf injury. So he was eased in
against the Jazz, and like JJ Reddick said, there are
no restrictions going forward, so his minutes are going to

(08:30):
be going up and his production's going to be going up.
I just don't understand how Dallas keeps banging the drum
the smear campaign. The latest thing that came out was
that Luca had a like a quote unquote wrist injury
earlier in the season and they were supposed to use
those five days for conditioning, and that was supposedly like

(08:51):
the last straw. Nico Harrison calling the shots over there, GM,
He's like, oh gosh, his place's gonna fall off, fall off.

Speaker 4 (09:00):
He's not dedicated.

Speaker 3 (09:02):
It's like, I don't know, man, Luca, is he gonna
be playing pretty well to me this season like he
always does. It's like, if you look at Luca's numbers,
what do you think Luca's numbers are this season? Again,
everything that you've heard from the from the Dallas Mavericks like, oh,
this guy's lack of conditioning and the lack of defense

(09:22):
and the mad and mad and what do you think
that his numbers are this season? What would you guess
to mate? Like, points, assists, rebounds. Have that number in
your head, you know, if you're driving around listening, have
that number in your head.

Speaker 4 (09:37):
Got it? Okay? Good?

Speaker 3 (09:40):
So for Dallas this year, with everything that's been said
about Luca, he's averaging twenty eight point one points per game,
he's averaging seven point eight assists per game, and he's
averaging eight point three rebounds per game. That's what he
did with the Dallas Mavericks this season two games started,

(10:01):
so that's a limited sample size. But while he's playing,
I mean, I don't know. You couldn't use on your
team twenty eight points, over eight rebounds, nearly eight assists
per game.

Speaker 4 (10:13):
Couldn't use that? No, you're lying. Every team could use that.
That's elite production.

Speaker 3 (10:22):
I feel like we've gotten all these stories to the
point where you just forget how special player Luca is.

Speaker 4 (10:30):
Some people do like.

Speaker 3 (10:31):
If you're just going by what the MAVs are saying,
I get it. Listen, it's a little bit like a
relationship might work out this way for the MAVs. You know,
when you're in the relationship and there are some annoying
things with it, as there are in every relationship, when
you're in the heart of that, sometimes you're like, oh
my gosh, this is so annoying. I could see Dallas

(10:54):
getting to that point with Luca. This guy will not
dedicate himself to conditioning. Maybe he's high maintenance in other areas,
maybe many other areas. Sometimes stars are hard to deal
with and they just got to a point where they're like,
oh my gosh, this is so annoying. And then you
go your separate ways, and then you give it a

(11:15):
little bit of time, and then you think back fondly about.

Speaker 4 (11:19):
That relationship or that player where it's like.

Speaker 3 (11:21):
Yeah, man, five straight first team All NBA selections, Maybe
it was worth the headache and maybe worth the lack
of conditioning. And you're right, I could absolutely see Dallas
looking at it that way.

Speaker 4 (11:36):
You've never felt like that about a relationship.

Speaker 3 (11:38):
You've never gotten away from all of the silly things
and the stupid things and the bs and all that.
You've never gotten far away from that and had a
different thought process, a different outlook, of course everybody has.
I could see Dallas absolutely looking at it that way.

(11:58):
But I think they're just in the thick of it.
They were just and this is year after year after year.
You know, some organizations they just reach a breaking point
and they're like, yeah, no. The Jets reached that breaking
point with Aaron Rodgers after two years.

Speaker 4 (12:14):
That's it. Two years.

Speaker 3 (12:15):
They're like, yeah, that's we're done. No thanks, that okay, cool,
who's your quarterback? That's gonna be more productive? We don't know,
it probably won't be, you know, but whatever. We're just
we're good.

Speaker 4 (12:29):
Okay, all right, all right, we'll see how that works out.

Speaker 3 (12:33):
I'm gonna get back to a one of these Twitter
questions in a minute. I'm gonna do that right around
the corner. Also, we got a lot of stuff to do.
Interesting sound from the goat. What he had to say
about a recent huge game, and more importantly, some of
his huge games over the years got me thinking. So

(12:57):
I'll share that with you right around the corner. I'm
Brian no In for the guys. It's two pros and
a cup of Joe live from the tire rack dot Com.
Studios right here on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (13:08):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Errington and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern three am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 4 (13:22):
It is Two Pros and a Cup of Joe.

Speaker 3 (13:24):
I'm Brian Noan for the guys here Fox Sports Radio,
coming to you live from the tire rack dot Com studios. So,
Tom Brady, he posted a video right after the Super Bowl,
and well it just recently was posted like a day
ago or so, and it was the video was right

(13:46):
after the super Bowl. You know, I'd been doing a
terrible job of explaining this video. Okay, the footage was
a day after the Super Bowl was put together and
released recently.

Speaker 4 (14:00):
That makes sense. We're on the same page as my guy.

Speaker 3 (14:04):
Who is this guy critiquing me recently, Peter Peter Saniago,
gonna hit me up, but you're doing it again here, No, okay.

Speaker 4 (14:16):
So Tom Brady puts out this video.

Speaker 3 (14:18):
And in the video he's doing it's like behind the
scenes footage getting ready for the Super Bowl, right He's
you might have seen the pregame stuff where in like
the French quarter, he's on one balcony and he throws
a pass to Gronk who catches it, and then Gronk
spikes it, and they're showing the behind the scenes.

Speaker 4 (14:38):
Footage of that.

Speaker 3 (14:40):
They're showing him taking a golf cart to the stadium
and getting there behind the scenes before the Super Bowl starts,
all that type of stuff. And then it's showing some
weird workout footage tom Brady's shirt list, because Tom's like, yeah,
it would be great for the video. Let me get
shirtless over here, gotta have that. And then he's take

(15:00):
about the Chiefs getting blown out. Now, this is the
interesting part because he's been through three Super Bowl losses,
so he has an idea of what.

Speaker 4 (15:11):
Mahomes is going through, what he's feeling.

Speaker 2 (15:13):
Now.

Speaker 3 (15:14):
For the record, Tom Brady was never blown out in
any Super bowls. All these losses are very close games.
You lost to the Giants by three points, what the
second time, lost by four points, lost to the Eagles
by eight points, but that was a close game, one
possession game at the very end.

Speaker 4 (15:34):
So never been blown out.

Speaker 3 (15:36):
But he's been through the heartache of a Super Bowl,
so listen to what he says about it. And then
the last part is what really grabbed my attention, and
it was just sort of an oh, by the way comment,
So check this out. Tom Brady talking about Mahomes and
the Chiefs getting blown out.

Speaker 5 (15:51):
Did you do anything different after the three Super Bowl losses?

Speaker 3 (15:55):
Oh?

Speaker 5 (15:55):
Yeah, if you're still sleep for a couple of days,
you think it's a nightmare, you really do, Like that
didn't happen. I woke up with a bad dream and
they're like, get sink sin and the ultimately you get
over it, I mean acute pain. But then there's that
chronic sparks issue of like making it that far and

(16:17):
then coming up short Giants Eagles, you know, especially when
you're the better team. Yeah, like in all three Super
Bowls we lost. We were the better team.

Speaker 3 (16:28):
Not that day, but okay, So that that last part
stands out to me because I would anticipate that there's
some pushback from some people unnecessarily where it's like, what
do you mean they're you go back to Super Bowl
forty two, the Patriots were undefeated. The Patriots are one

(16:49):
of the best teams of all time. They're clearly the
better team than the Giants. I'm just curious how much
pushback there would be of who was the better team
in certain Super Bowl match. But the Patriots are favored
by what like thirteen and a half points or something
crazy like that. That game, they absolutely were the better team.
They were one of the best teams in the history

(17:10):
of the NFL. And that's what makes the upset so stunning.
And props to the Giants. To Brady's point, they're the
better team that day and that's all that matters.

Speaker 4 (17:19):
But he's right, it would be even more hurtful that
you were the better team and you just got outperformed
that day. It happens.

Speaker 3 (17:29):
But you start going through the history of the Super Bowl,
think about the first Super Bowl that Brady won. The
Rams were a better team easily. It's the greatest show
on turf. Rams were a huge favorite. They were a
better team that year. But the better team doesn't always
win the game. And I'm not making an argument for
anything like it's.

Speaker 4 (17:49):
An unfair system or it's nothing like that.

Speaker 3 (17:52):
It's just I can see that it absolutely would hurt
you more if you're the favorite, if you're a big
favorite because you're the better team that year and then.

Speaker 4 (18:04):
You get out played and you lose it. That would
make it far harder.

Speaker 3 (18:08):
But I think that there's such recency bias in sports
these days where I feel like most Super Bowls, whichever
team wins the game, most people will walk away saying, oh,
they were the better team, and it's like there are
so many times where they're a huge favorite for good reason.
The huge favorite was the better team. Think of the

(18:32):
NFL playoffs this past season, the one that stands out
to me is the Lions were a big favorite at
home against the Washington Commanders.

Speaker 4 (18:43):
Even with all of.

Speaker 3 (18:44):
Those injuries that the Lions had, which even the odds
a little bit like give the Commanders a little bit
of a better chance. Like, the Lions were still a
better team. They were a one seed, they only lost
what two games, and they had home field advantage. There's

(19:06):
a reason why they were favored by as much as
they were. They were the better team. Now that day,
with all those turnovers, the Lions have five turnovers, it
was ridiculous how much they were turning the football over.
Like that day, Washington was the better team. And they
move on. It's fine, it's football. It's the way the
playoffs go. But there are many, many times where the

(19:26):
better team doesn't win the game. And that's happened in
Super Bowls too. I would say it's happened more than
most people would acknowledge, because again, whoever wins the Super Bowl,
most people just say, oh, that was the better team.
Oftentimes it's not. Oftentimes that's not the case. I thought
that was an interesting point from Brady. I'm curious what

(19:50):
Plexico Burris would say about that. Right, he was on
that seven Giants team. He caught the winning touchdown to
beat the undefeated Patriots, Patriots trying to.

Speaker 4 (20:03):
Go for a nineteen to zero perfect.

Speaker 3 (20:05):
Season NFL lore Right and Plax catches the winning touchdown,
Giants win. But with Brady saying they were the better team,
I'm curious what a player on that Giants team would say,
you know what I mean, right Like, would he acknowledge
it or would he say, I feel like we were better.

Speaker 4 (20:24):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (20:25):
I think listen, if you're being honest, there's nothing wrong
with saying, hey, they were better.

Speaker 4 (20:31):
We just outplayed them. That's the reality here.

Speaker 3 (20:34):
But I don't know the honest answer a player on
that seven Giants team if they viewed it that way.
I don't know the answer to that. Let me go
to Twitter here, because let me check back with Matt.
Matt was saying, Hey, who do you think will be
the seven or eight NFL head coaches that'll be on
the hot seat this next year. I've got a few
on my list. I think I've fortunately. I'll started with

(20:58):
Mike McDaniel the Dolphins. You know, if the Dolphins don't
turn it around and start to have much more success,
I could see the Dolphins saying, yeah, that's McDonald McDaniel guy, right, like,
we want to be double digit win team, we want
to have deep playoff runs, and yet here we are
again hovering around five hundred. I could see them starting

(21:21):
to look elsewhere. Wouldn't be shocking. I'll give you one
that you might disagree with for a potential hot seat candidate.
How about Zach Taylor of the Bengals. The Bengals could
It could go either way. The Bengals could have a resurgence.
I could see the Bengals winning I don't know, eleven
twelve games. That wouldn't shock me at all. They got

(21:43):
to fix their defense, but they got a lot of
talent offensively. Maybe they play better defense, you get a
new DC in there al Golden did his thing with
the Notre Dame fighting Irish this last year. Maybe there's
a new philosophy, maybe a gels a little bit more.
I would be shocked at all if the Bengals have
a bounce back season. They had a few games this

(22:03):
past year that were pretty random, like the Ravens games themselves.
The one on the road, they went for two, didn't
get it, but that swung the game earlier at home,
they got a big takeaway in overtime and they got
super conservative, settled for a fifty plus yard field goal

(22:26):
that was missed.

Speaker 4 (22:26):
They lose that.

Speaker 3 (22:27):
Game, but they had a chance to win the game
with the kick in overtime, just missed it. Like there
were a lot of games that were very close to
going their way didn't go their way. So if that
changes year over year, I wouldn't be surprised that off
the Bengals have a good year, and at the same rate,
I wouldn't be surprised if the Bengals shoot themselves in

(22:47):
the foot a handful of times and have a down
year and a team with high expectations another down year.
I could see Zach Taylor being in some hot water.
Another one. Kevin's the fanski with the Browns. I'm not
blaming it on him. The quarterback situation has been absurd.

(23:07):
But if you're just winning three four games a year,
I don't know, maybe ownership says, yeah, let's just freshen
things up here. Shane Steiken with the Colts, Brian Dabole
with the Giants, Todd Bowles with the Bucks. That's that's
a division that I would say is up for grabs.

Speaker 4 (23:30):
So if Tampa has.

Speaker 3 (23:31):
A down year and I don't know, Baker gets a
little bit nicked up or you're right, like I would
be surprised if he's on the hot seat.

Speaker 4 (23:40):
Here's one that I'll just say, put it on your radar.

Speaker 6 (23:45):
I'm not.

Speaker 3 (23:47):
Calling my shot, and I don't truly believe this, but
I'm just saying it's possible. Look at Kyle Shanahan with
San Francisco. Right the Niners were just six and eleven.
They were incredibly banged up. They still do have a
lot of talent, but I uke had the acl tear

(24:13):
maybe the backup to Brinks truck for Rock Purdy, who
I think is good, but I don't think is a
difference maker. I don't think that he can compensate when
the roster you have to skimp in areas. He lost
Brandon Aiyuk and like you know, Kittle was banged up
here and there. You got a decent indication of what

(24:33):
the roster is most likely going to look like in
the years to come. Once he makes huge money, you're
gonna have to skimp in areas. And Purdy absolutely took
a noticeable step back.

Speaker 4 (24:46):
So what if.

Speaker 3 (24:50):
The Niners collectively have another down year. I still have
a hard time believing John Lynch would just run Kyle
Shanahan be like, we're going in.

Speaker 4 (24:58):
A different direction. Man, It's just no, You're not the guy.

Speaker 3 (25:02):
I have a hard time seeing that. But crazier things
have happened, and these teams with high expectations, if the
results are the direct opposite, those coaches are candidates to
being fired. It happens, man, no doubt about that. It
is two bros and a cup of Joe. I'm Brian
though in for the guys here on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 4 (25:26):
Something else I wanted to throw your.

Speaker 3 (25:27):
Way Draymond Green here, So Draymond, I'm sure you saw
it where he said the NF The NBA is boring.
Oh man, Peter Santiago almost got me again. I almost
said NFL instead of NBA, and then, oh man, my
Twitter mentions would have been blowing up. You can't say
the wrong thing, man, Pete will be all over you.

(25:50):
That's all right, but you caught the comments. I'd imagine
that Draymond said the NBA is boring. Oscar Robertson checked
in and his quote was, who cares what Draymond says
doesn't mean anything, which is is very funny. But I
love this conversation and the thoughts by Draymond. Over here

(26:14):
now his exact quote. Draymond he was talking about facing
Lebron in a recent game. This is before the All
Star break, and he said, every possession is some type
of chess move. You don't get that today in the
NBA often you don't just get that on a regular basis.
It's just who can run faster, who can hit more threes.

(26:34):
It's no substance. I think it's very boring. Now, there
are a lot of people that think this way. I personally,
I don't think the NBA is boring. I think it's
just become really trendy. To talk about how the NBA
is boring. That's what I think is going on. Damian

(26:57):
Lillard talked about this, and I thought Dame was more
on point where he was basically talking about a lack
of almost like a lack of It's very similar to
the to MLB where you heard this quite a bit,
like it's just home runs and shrikeouts, and some people

(27:19):
long for the small ball, right, some people long for singles, doubles,
like stealing all that type of stuff. They want variety,
and that's what Dame was talking about. He's basically saying
there seems to be a lack of variety. It's shifted
so much to threes, layups, free throws, threes, layups, free throws,

(27:43):
and some people might long for the mid range, the
back to the basket, or just a little bit more variety.
I think that's fair, but I wouldn't go so far
as to say it's boring. I really honestly, I think
a lot of people make more out of the three pointer,
then there needs to be Like my theory on this

(28:04):
is I think it just.

Speaker 4 (28:06):
Stands out more.

Speaker 3 (28:08):
You know, like if if shooters are missing shots, there's
nothing appealing about a missed shot, whether it's a three,
whether it's as mid rain shot, whatever. But if you
shoot forty percent from three, you take that every single night.

Speaker 4 (28:26):
I mean, if you're taking a high number of threes,
that means you're missing sixty percent of your threes. That's
a lot of misses.

Speaker 3 (28:34):
And I think because you're shooting from distance, sometimes the
way the players miss just stands out more. It feels
like there are more misses than there actually are, because
think about three pointers that are missed and sometimes missed badly.
You might get a long rebound, you might get an airball,
you might get someone hitting the side of the backboard.

(28:55):
It's just throwing a brick up there where you're like,
oh my gosh, whoa that was way off and over
the course of a game, I think it feels like
there are more missed shots than there actually are, that
there is more ugly basketball than there actually is, because
it just it makes a bigger impression. So hey, listen,

(29:17):
if that's not your cup of tea, I get it.
That's fine, But I think it's more so people just
love to follow the herd. They don't think for themselves.
Because if I'm watching the NBA every single night. If
it was boring, I would be bored. You know what
I'm saying. You can't watch something every night if it's

(29:38):
truly a boring product, and like not be bored.

Speaker 4 (29:43):
I'm not bored with it.

Speaker 3 (29:46):
I just think that there is a lack of variety
and for some people that long for that stuff, I
get it. But I never understood this with baseball either.
I thought that the complaining went above and beyond the
actual product, if that makes sense, Like just the actual
complaints of it's a bunch of home runs in strikeouts.

(30:06):
I'd argue those are the best parts of baseball. Why
would you complain about getting a lot of the best stuff.
I don't understand that. You know, if you went to
let's say you're a big ice cream fan, you went
to Dairy Queen and instead of you know, like a medium,
they gave you an extra large Sunday, would you be like, WHOA,

(30:27):
this sucks? Or would you be like for a freaking nice, good,
right bonus. For some reason, sports fans do the opposite.
They're like, I wanted a medium, I'm watching my calories.
What's this think about it? It's a bunch of home runs.
When have you watched a home run and been like boring,

(30:49):
not into it, like a strikeout, especially in a key moment.
Some of the best moments in baseball history involved strikeouts,
and now we're getting more of them on a consistent basis,
and it's gotten to uh more of this. Oh gosh, okay,
I mean again, I'll meet you halfway. I like the ball,

(31:11):
but being put in play and seeing some action and
some variety, fine, fine, But my point is that the
complaining goes above and beyond the actual product. If you
didn't watch baseball and you just went by the complaints,
you would think, oh man, this product just absolutely blows.

(31:32):
This is terrible. But if you stop and think, okay,
it's a lot of home runs and a lot of strikeouts,
that's not necessarily awful. You want to mix it a
little variety. I get it, but that's not awful. So
and I think with Draymond the other part of this
that I think is interesting, Like Oscar Robertson had his

(31:53):
theory and he said, well, maybe Draymond's saying this stuff
because he passes the ball to Curry more than anyone
I've ever seen in basketball. He said, it might be
boring to him at times because of what he's doing.
Maybe it's boring when he's out there. He's not shooting
a lot and he's not guarding a lot, so it's boring.
Those are Oscar Robertson's words. That's his theory as to

(32:15):
why Draymond is saying these things. I think that's interesting.
I mean, maybe there's a little bit to that.

Speaker 4 (32:22):
It's not like constantly passing is incredibly thrilling. You know
which would be more thrilling to you? Would it be
if you're Draymond Green?

Speaker 3 (32:34):
Would it be, you know, averaging twenty points a night,
or would it be looking to set up an alley oop?

Speaker 4 (32:40):
Or passing to curry?

Speaker 2 (32:42):
Right?

Speaker 3 (32:42):
Like he he doesn't only pass, but he's doing way
more passing than other things offensively, There's no doubt, so
maybe there's something there. I also think this, what's the
famous expression, it ate fun when the rabbit got the gun? Right,
ain't no fun? Sorry, sorry, Pete, don't hit me up.

(33:03):
Ain't no fun. Let me be correct. You quote it
correctly saying huh, I'm gonna get blown up? Yeah, it is,
that's right, Loraina. It's an old saying, ain't no fun?
When the Rabbit got the gun. So think of Bugs Bunny, right,
the guy chasing Bugs. Bunny has the gun. It's no
fun when Bugs has the gun and he's chasing you, right.

Speaker 4 (33:22):
So think about this with the Warriors.

Speaker 3 (33:25):
The Warriors, when they were shooting threes at the highest
level in the league, the highest rate, Steph Curry, Klay Thompson,
the Splash brothers.

Speaker 4 (33:35):
That gave them a leg up on everybody else.

Speaker 3 (33:38):
Now, the analytics crowd, the geeks have solved basketball. They're like, yeah, threes, layups,
free throw line, that's your best chance. And so a
lot of these teams are like, we're just gonna bomb threes,
and that has gotten them closer to the Warriors.

Speaker 4 (33:58):
And then the Warriors have aged, they don't still have
the same depth of talent.

Speaker 3 (34:01):
All that type of stuff factors in too, but the
general approach. When the Warriors were doing something differently than
the rest of the league, that was a different time.
And now the league is doing the same stuff the
Warriors are doing, and I think that can change your
outlook too. It might not be as fun. I know
it's not as fun for Draymond. They're winning titles, right,

(34:26):
it's fun. It's fun to win it all so much
so that he's blind and things they're gonna win another
one this year, which is crazy talk. But it's fun winning.
It's fun winning rings.

Speaker 4 (34:39):
And now they're like in the play in territory and
they have they're.

Speaker 3 (34:44):
Not winning a championship. There's almost no chance they have
of winning a championship this season. And I think a
lot of Draymond's comments it's not just Draymond sitting back
observing the league as if he's retired. He's an active player.
And I'll tell you this, if the Warriors are on top,

(35:09):
if they have the record that Oklahoma City has, you
just flip flop them.

Speaker 4 (35:14):
Okac is where Golden State is.

Speaker 3 (35:16):
Golden State is where OKAC is, right, flip flop them
in the standings.

Speaker 4 (35:20):
Do you think if.

Speaker 3 (35:21):
The Warriors are the top team in the West and
have the shortest odds to win a championship, do you
think he's talking about how boring the game is.

Speaker 4 (35:29):
I don't think so at all.

Speaker 3 (35:32):
I don't And I'm not saying all of his words
don't mean anything. I get it with Lebron and there's
a chess match, and some of it's just a little
redundant and too common. All that makes sense, but I
don't think that's his outlook. If the Warriors are wrecking shop,
if you're on top and you're winning and you're having fun,

(35:52):
you think he's talking about how boring the NBA is.
I don't think that at all, So I think that
might go into his comments as well. Something to think about,
all right, feel free to check in your last chance

(38:08):
Manning is not the goat. If anything maybe a miniature
version of the goat.

Speaker 4 (38:11):
But anyway.

Speaker 3 (38:12):
Peyton Manning was on the SNL fifty anniversary show on
Sunday and he made some comments about Travis kelce recently
where he said, I hope he takes some time, take
some time, take a full month, let some things digest
and calm down. He can make a better decision then, right, Yeah,
Travis kelcey considering retirement.

Speaker 4 (38:34):
I think that's great advice. And that's one of the
reasons why, you.

Speaker 3 (38:39):
Know, I think my gut says he comes back.

Speaker 4 (38:43):
My brain says maybe not.

Speaker 3 (38:46):
But my gut feeling is I just don't know that
Travis Kelce is going out that way. I know it's
a full commitment to commit to an entire season of
playing for the Chiefs, but just one more go, one
last Dan, you know, I could see that Peyton mannings
that I hope he does come back. In plays. He's
fun to watch, but he's got to do what's best

(39:07):
for him. I just know that the grind of a
season finally ending and losing a Super Bowl, how deflating
that is. It's a little bit like Tyreek Hill with
the Dolphins. You didn't go into the playoffs even or
get to the super Bowl.

Speaker 4 (39:21):
But after week.

Speaker 3 (39:22):
Eighteen, he's like, I need to get out of here.
You know, he's not used to missing the playoffs, and
he was frustrated at the time. You give it a
couple of weeks and all of a sudden, there's a
different tune.

Speaker 4 (39:31):
He's like, I love it, Miami. Why would I leave here?

Speaker 3 (39:34):
So we'll see what happens with Travis Kelcey after a
few weeks might change his outlook. Hey, Arnie Spanner, shout
out to him. He texted me the Four Nations face
off that hockey game tomorrow night, US taking on Canada.
The most expensive ticket? Do you what do you think
it costs? Let's do a little uh, let's do a

(39:54):
little prices right here? What do you think, Loraina is
the most expensive ticket for the Four Nations face off
between the US and Canada tomorrow.

Speaker 4 (40:05):
Four thousand dollars a ticket?

Speaker 3 (40:06):
Okay, four thousand? Coop, what do you say? Most expense?
Most expense top er five. It's gonna be in Boston.
Oh okay, I'll go five thousand, five thousand dollars according
to this According to our guy Spaniard, who sent me
a picture here. This is from uh, I don't know

(40:27):
it's from, but.

Speaker 4 (40:30):
Ten thousand dollars.

Speaker 5 (40:34):
My gosh, pretty expensive.

Speaker 3 (40:38):
I think I wanted you did win. That's right, you're
the big winner, Coop.

Speaker 4 (40:42):
We did not win both Showcase showdowns, but you won
one of them,
