Speaker 2 (00:27):
Let's give this party.

Speaker 3 (00:28):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (00:34):
I don't know why when I picked this song, I
thought this is something like Leewood Party two. He'd be
like listening to, like pouring himself a little shot, you know,
his little head's doing. He's like doing a little clicking
thing with his hands.

Speaker 4 (00:46):
I immediately thought of an Antonio Benderiz movie.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
Isn't this from Desperado? Not yet? Not yet? Not yet?

Speaker 1 (00:57):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (00:58):
It was selma hiyag Hi.

Speaker 5 (01:01):
I do like what you did though, with the selection.
Name of the song is painted black right?

Speaker 2 (01:05):
Nice?

Speaker 1 (01:06):
Oh yeah, racist?

Speaker 4 (01:09):
There you go, because it's the color. Every time you
hear she hears the color like blue god, you.

Speaker 5 (01:13):
Know, racist or blue racist? This is why Antonio Brown
is trying to unite everything.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
There you go.

Speaker 4 (01:20):
You know this is why she missed it.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
She was.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
It's about a managed to deal with the lovers died,
all right, That's that's what this is about. It's about grief.
What color is grief? Apparently it's black. I mean, at
least to the Rolling Stones.

Speaker 5 (01:39):
It's kind of messed up that black is grief. But
you know, by the way, there's still usually people.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
Racist.

Speaker 4 (01:47):
You were off that one. You got one more time.
Come on, Loraina, you said it racist.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
Thank you.

Speaker 4 (01:55):
I mean you made the rule, not us. I mean
we giving you the colors. You know, we said, you
know the colors.

Speaker 5 (02:01):
You weren't it the way Brady mentioned a funeral, I
do have a question for you guys.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
Real quick.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
I was going to say most people were all black,
and then some people at a funeral, based on the
experience we've shared together, wear all types of colors.

Speaker 2 (02:18):
That's correct. That thing was out of here, all full display.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
I still can't get over your hat, Like I just
thought that was such a moment to have a fashion
statement with the hat you wore.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
No, it was not it was brown. I think it
was tan with a red bottom was a bottom. I
don't know.

Speaker 1 (02:44):
I just remember you were the hat at the sunglasses.
And then this situation where talking about that occurred. I
kind of peeked over at you and looked, and you
saw the exact same thing I did.

Speaker 5 (02:56):
We're like, damn, what the He told me the story afterwards,
He's like, I was so happy to be next a
little bar.

Speaker 4 (03:04):
In that moment, it was I couldn't understand it, like
I was trying to comprehend it.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
Man, He's so he held it together so much better.

Speaker 5 (03:12):
I was like the way the way Brady described it
was he saw it creeping up a little bit.

Speaker 4 (03:20):
LaVar was like, wait, wait there it is that they
came out like set me free.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
You understand.

Speaker 1 (03:30):
It was at this moment when I realized LeVar has
been through so much stuff, because he was so chill,
so cool and so calm in that situation. I was like,
I was in my head thinking to myself, like, this
is terrible. This is terrible funeral a funeral. I'm looking
at this. I shouldn't be, but it's like a car accident.

(03:51):
You can't not look. And then and then I like,
then at one point I found it funny at one point,
I was fighting that then I know it's sad, such
a mixture emotions, and I'm looking at LeVar and he
just straight face looks ob, kind of gives it a nod,
a quick little smirk.

Speaker 4 (04:09):
And then just went out of life. Why that's all
I would say, Like it just.

Speaker 5 (04:20):
Popped out, Like I mean, that was That was our
first show outing together was at a funeral and somebody's
thong popped out, well.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
Pulled up then that joint was long.

Speaker 4 (04:34):
It was like a limo, but it was it was
a four door, yeah, caddy was a Fleetwood.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
What was it? I don't know.

Speaker 1 (04:42):
I'm sorry to bring it back up cheery, man, I
mean funny people listening probably at his thus but.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
Man, that was a funny sequence.

Speaker 5 (04:56):
That was definitely a first first outing is a show
together where like like a month into the show, where
at a funeral and somebody's thong pops out.

Speaker 4 (05:04):
While they're saying there goodbye though like like squat it down,
setting a rose on the casket, like just talking, having
all out, full long conversation. So it was like literally
like a good few minutes that the person was there
squat it down and.

Speaker 5 (05:20):
A maroon sling shot pops up out of a pair
of Gee, it was rid damn.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
In her defense, those were low cut jeans. Don't you
misrepresent that color? They were low cut jeans. In her defense,
were they low cut jeans? They're pretty low cut. There's
very little room. Fair well, why wouldn't they be, you know,
considering the day man.

Speaker 1 (05:45):
And I was gonna by the way, Joas, you handled
yourself really well all things considered.

Speaker 5 (05:52):
Yeah, yeah, listen, you know, I mean we're veterans at
this point when it comes to that. You guys saw
it so been there once or twice.

Speaker 2 (06:04):
I was gonna ask this.

Speaker 5 (06:05):
The video that went around of the people throwing the
doves in the air at the funeral and two of
the three died, was that.

Speaker 2 (06:11):
A real video?

Speaker 5 (06:12):
It happens all the time for some strange reason. Man,
people holding doves getting ready to release them, and two
of the three died. Yeah, man, I don't get it.

Speaker 1 (06:22):
The guy came and picked them up, so they weren't dead.
They were just a sleep They kind of moved on.
That was the best part of the video though. Was
he like walked over, he kind of picked him up,
looked at him. He's like shook him He's like, they're asleep.
He just walked out of the frame.

Speaker 2 (06:40):
Yeah, they're not sleep, They sleep forever sleep. That was
a real video. Yeah, okay, oh that behavior.

Speaker 6 (06:47):
People.

Speaker 4 (06:48):
People do that at weddings, they do it at at funerals,
and sometimes for for some reason tho or another. I
think it might be the way that the people hold it.
I think that might be it. But yeah, it's usually
when people that random people are releasing them that they
might have held it incorrectly.

Speaker 2 (07:08):
Is it like, uh suffocated it?

Speaker 6 (07:10):
You know?

Speaker 5 (07:10):
With cats, if you wrap a towel underneath the cat's
front legs, they tip over. There's something about like if
there's a pressure point underneath their front legs, if like
you put a towel. Not that I've ever done this,
oh okay, not that I've ever done this in my life.
But if you put a towel or you wrap a
t shirt underneath the cat and they go to walk,
they just tip over.

Speaker 4 (07:33):
I'm glad you found that so funny. Could you see
it in your head? You can see it in your
head when you did it.

Speaker 5 (07:38):
Huh, this doesn't make sense, Like why what is it there?
So I wonder if like when you're holding a dove
if there's like a pressure point there and.

Speaker 4 (07:45):
I don't know that they'll just they be like releasing
them to go and then they just fall to the ground.

Speaker 7 (07:49):
It's usually just because of stress. They're just stressed out,
is that what it is, and then just die. Yeah,
so doves die of stress. That's a off bird.

Speaker 6 (08:03):
Like that.

Speaker 2 (08:04):
A dove better not be a parent then.

Speaker 4 (08:08):
Be releasing some ravens or something like that. You know,
that's kind of pathetic.

Speaker 5 (08:13):
Actually, I lose all respect for him now now I
know that that's crazy.

Speaker 7 (08:18):
That's why they're technically released doves, just because they're they're
so uh, they're so weak.

Speaker 2 (08:23):
They can't survive in the wild. They have no survival.

Speaker 1 (08:26):
Instincts, hammers, what are you talking about? Oh my gosh,
are you saying that they die so easily that they
just let them do this at funerals.

Speaker 2 (08:44):
They're they're captive birds. They're not wild birds.

Speaker 5 (08:47):
So oh so they're like feeder mice for snakes and reptiles.
You just you have them like feeder goldfish, so you
just have them like that's their job is to get eaten.
So those doves job is to die basically, Okay, We'll
save room in the casket next time. Apparently, when you're
releasing doves at a funeral, that makes no sense whatsoever. Q.

Speaker 4 (09:10):
Weather Channel just took a ale. The Weather Channel just
took an ale. Q So, oh bro, the Weather Channel
just took a al Bro. I'm I'm gonna work to
send the tea. Oh my god, Oh my god.

Speaker 6 (09:30):
Hey, where are the white women at.

Speaker 2 (09:31):
H cut off guard? Stopped you dead in your track?
Oh my gosh, what are you doing? Well?

Speaker 5 (09:46):
We are doing this show live from the tire rack
dot com studios. Tire rack dot com selection fast, free shipping,
free road assid protection and over ten thousand recommended installers.
Tire rack dot com the way tire buying should be boats.
All right, So you got issues?

Speaker 2 (10:08):
Man, you off your mets? Oh my god? All right, So.

Speaker 5 (10:14):
We just a quick reset here. We are going to
catch up with our guy, Pete Prisco coming up here.
I'm sure he'll have nothing but pleasantries for all things
NFL related when it comes to the combine and everything
else that is happening.

Speaker 2 (10:26):
But just to reset.

Speaker 5 (10:27):
The top story of the day in the NFL was
that the interested teams, according to Albert Breer, our buddy
who visits with us every single Thursday here on the show.
The interested teams are the Giant Steelers, Raiders, and Browns
who have shown interest in Matt Stafford, along with quote

(10:48):
unnamed other teams. So the market is heating up. It
is Combine week, if I'm not mistaken. I believe the
Combine was where the Rams we're able to get the
deal done to land Stafford and trade away Jared Goff.
So uh, this this feels like we are building and
getting some momentum for the the eventual departure of Matt

(11:08):
Stafford as quarterback of the Rams. What a great era
of Rams football. Won a super Bowl and now he's on.

Speaker 1 (11:15):
Anyway, Look, he brought him a super Bowl. That's what
he went there for. And most will remember him for that, right,
and that's that's really what it should be all about.
I mean, maybe some remember the whole camera, you know,
person situations. Most people remember him for the super Bowl,
but some will remember the camera and maybe his wife.

Speaker 2 (11:36):
I think I think Petros will more folks on the
podcast and the wife. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (11:41):
Well, okay, it is popular. It's very popular podcast. Never
listened to it, but I've heard heard good things have you. Yeah, okay,
heard some good things. So what's the name of it?
Oh exactly, yeah, okay, heard good things. They couldn't tell you.

Speaker 2 (11:58):
Well, I didn't hear the name.

Speaker 5 (11:59):
I just heard heard good things about it. Oh, just
about the content, not really the name. I personally would
like to see Aaron Rodgers as the next quarterback of
the Rams.

Speaker 2 (12:10):
Now.

Speaker 5 (12:10):
It's got nothing to do with the fact that he's
a dear friend. But it's the fact that Aaron Rodgers.

Speaker 2 (12:15):
I'm sorry, what did you say, he's a dear friend. Basically, yeah,
you know, he did the show. That's why I did
the show. You know, what are we talking about?

Speaker 4 (12:22):
That's why if Jonas Knock did the Netflix special you know, yeah,
their their buddies.

Speaker 5 (12:28):
Episode three of Enigma, starring Aaron Rodgers. We were featured
on that. You were featured because of your buddy.

Speaker 2 (12:34):
Yeah, but you know, it's less about me and more
about we.

Speaker 1 (12:38):
So if Aaron Rodgers walked up to you right now, Jonas,
do you think he'd say like, oh, hey, what's up man?

Speaker 2 (12:43):
Well, yeah, of course, why wouldn't he like hey, I
don't think he's ever met you before?

Speaker 5 (12:47):
Right, No, but thanks for your contribution. No, but but
because I really think that was the highlight of the
entire series.

Speaker 2 (12:53):
That's your buddy, but you ain't met him yet.

Speaker 5 (12:55):
And he does work out in and around Ventura County
a thousand.

Speaker 2 (13:00):
Oaks winning around or like actually in Venture County.

Speaker 5 (13:03):
Well, because some people consider Westlake La County. There's like
a point there to where it becomes La County not
Ventura County. But you know, he's close enough to where
you know he could be there in like five to
eight minutes. So, uh so it's a dear friend. I'd
love to see Aaron Rodgers come back out to southern
California and be a part of Sean mcvay's offense and
uh and give that a whirl.

Speaker 2 (13:22):
Nice.

Speaker 5 (13:23):
So we'll see, uh, we'll see what happens with all that,
and if anything happens during the course of this show,
we will be the ones to break that story to
you here that happened.

Speaker 1 (13:32):
Can I ask this? Is it surprise? I'll put it
this way. I'll ask this question. I'll follow it up
with another question. Right, Aaron Rodgers first ballot Hall of
Famer when he retires. Yes, Okay, Matt Stafford first ballot
Hall of Famer when he retires.

Speaker 2 (13:46):
No, is he a Hall of Famer? Yes? No, possibly, Okay.

Speaker 1 (13:55):
So does it surprise you guys that Stafford who and
check this if you want. And I don't think he
even had a better statistical year last year than Rogers,
that Stafford would be more courted or do you think
this just has to do all with everything else?

Speaker 2 (14:11):
Yes, okay, I think people everything else. I think people.

Speaker 5 (14:15):
Assume that Rogers they look at the the in totality
of the year, They look at it as just being
a complete disaster for Rogers without realizing, No, he actually
got better down the stretch. He was pretty good down
the stretch, and it looked like he was getting healthier,
like he was starting to get back into what he
normally or at least closer resembled when he was in

(14:38):
Green Bay because he was coming off the Achilles. So
I think people look at it and just as a whole,
as you know, his time with the Jets would to
waste instead of well, when his body started to feel
better down the stretch, he actually played much better football,
and so I think that's probably his motivation. If he
continued to play subpar, Rogers probably wouldn't want to come.

(15:00):
But I think he saw enough of himself that he thought, man,
I can do this again, and that's why he's going
to give it a go another year. Maybe it'll be
with the Rams. But Stafford there's just a different narrative
to his his year with the Rams for some reason.
And and I don't know if it's because they pushed
Philly to the brink or or they were they exceeded expectations.

(15:20):
But you know, at least at least you know he's
going to go get an opportunity to do it elsewhere.
But I'll take my chances with Rogers and the Rams
interesting if that happened. So we will see. What would
you guess Brady, knowing Pete Prisco as long as you've
known him, what would you guess his thought is on
the Matt Stafford situation with the Rams, if he had

(15:41):
to guess.

Speaker 2 (15:41):
What, what's he going?

Speaker 1 (15:42):
I don't even want to, Okay, if we're predicting what
he's going to say, he's going to predict that.

Speaker 2 (15:51):
He's out of la.

Speaker 1 (15:54):
He might make a comment about the wife and the
podcast everything else.

Speaker 2 (15:58):
He'll make it. He'll wake something.

Speaker 1 (15:59):
About that, and then he'll say he'll probably he'll probably
push for like a team like Las Vegas and Tennessee
to sign him only because I mean, look, he loves
Bill Callahan and he loves like offensive line play, so
he'll want him to go to a team that he
feels like has a decent o line to go in

(16:21):
there and play and.

Speaker 2 (16:23):
Try to help out that team and help improve him.

Speaker 1 (16:24):
So, actually, he won't, No, he probably won't say Tennessee
because he's such a believer in Will Levis. So we
should probably ask him specifically about Tennessee as a specifically
as a landing spot only because he'll get defensive and
he'll kind of start to bite back, you know.

Speaker 2 (16:42):
Okay, so we'll try and tea him up.

Speaker 5 (16:44):
All right, that works, So we'll try needle Pete Prisco
a little bit here. See see if you can fire
off some rounds on somebody here on the show. It
is two pros and a cup of jail here on
Fox Sports Radio, LeVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with
you coming up next here from the tire rack dot
Com studio. We are going to catch up with our
guy Pete Prisco right here on FSR.

Speaker 3 (17:04):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Errington, and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern, three am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 5 (17:19):
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe, Fox Sports Radio,
LeVar Herrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knot of the Air. Coming
up a little over twenty minutes from now, we are
going to have another edition of Lee's Leftovers. That'll be
yours here again from the tire raq dot com studios.
But right now, this is a Tuesday tradition unlike any other.

(17:40):
He's the one and only Pete Prisco. He's our smooth operator.
He's a senior NFL columnist for CBS Sports CBS Sports
HQ analyst and a man who can get on X
if you want that smoke at Prisco CBS, and he
has brought the Smoke show to the Combine in Indianapolis. Pete,
good morning, how's Indy?

Speaker 2 (18:01):
Hi? Pete?

Speaker 6 (18:02):
What's up? Guys?

Speaker 2 (18:03):
How are you?

Speaker 6 (18:04):
It's Indy, It's the Combine And anybody who's ever been
here knows what Indy and the Combine are, and that's
exactly what it is.

Speaker 1 (18:12):
Well hold on, Pete, help us understand for all those
who haven't been to Indianapolis during the combine, what are
they missing out on?

Speaker 2 (18:19):
Tell us what's going on there?

Speaker 6 (18:21):
Well, Brady, you, you and LeVar came as players, and
so you experienced it from that standpoint, and then you
came as analysts, and you've experienced it from that standpoint
and from the from the latter standpoint, it's all about,
you know, getting out and having a few beverages and
talking football and arguing football with a bunch of guys

(18:42):
that make a lot more money than you do to
argue back with you. That's what it's about.

Speaker 4 (18:45):
It's still really cold. It's really cold. Why they got
to be making way more money than us, Pete By Well.

Speaker 6 (18:52):
I'm talking about like coaches and general managers. You know
those guys they make a lot more money than a
lot of people.

Speaker 8 (18:57):
Come on, you know, they went into the book, they
went into the professions thinking they were going to be
teaching pe and making fifty grand a year, and now
they're coaching their high school football team, and now they're
making twelve to fourteen million dollars a year.

Speaker 6 (19:10):
And yet they still get angry about somebody who says
something about them. It's an amazing process, it really is.

Speaker 4 (19:14):
Have you you've angered at somebody, Huh, who's your first
victim being firing around?

Speaker 6 (19:21):
No, I haven't got anybody yet, but I will today.

Speaker 2 (19:25):
Who do you have on your kill list?

Speaker 6 (19:28):
No? I don't you know what. I just say stuff
and if it kills them, then it kills them. I'm
not gonna I'm not. Yeah, you know, I don't go
in there with the intention of. Oh, but you know
how coaches are guys the thin skin, and I never
quite understood it. If I was the head coach in
the NFL and some writer or analyst said something about
me that I didn't like, I wouldn't make it that

(19:49):
big a deal. I pull them aside and kind of
say something to them and then let it go. But
these guys let stuff bester. I don't understand that. I
really don't.

Speaker 5 (19:57):
Who's the most thin skin coach you ever dealt with
in your career?

Speaker 2 (20:00):
Repeat? Oh you said, didn't you say? Sean Payton used
to be.

Speaker 6 (20:07):
Used to be. He kind of evolved, you know. Look
Tom Calflam back in the day was pretty tim but
he would let it go though. I I you know,
That's one thing I like about coaches. He'd get angry
and mad, but then the next day it would be done,
it'd be over with, and and so that I don't mind.
I don't like the ones that hold grudges and get
angry about things, and they you know, they don't really

(20:28):
say anything to you. They kind of look at.

Speaker 5 (20:30):
You, and you're at your.

Speaker 2 (20:34):
Damn well.

Speaker 6 (20:35):
I didn't mind, bill Obi. I actually got along with Bibrien.
I'll tell you a guy back in the day when
they were the Brian Xander and Josh McDaniels, when they
were in Denver. I had written some things about him,
and I think both those guys just glared at me
one day and without saying anything, and I said to myself,
I said, I'd rather they come say something to me
and confront me, rather than just glare at me and

(20:56):
rather than say anything.

Speaker 5 (21:00):
Smoke Pete, what are your thoughts on the Matthew Stafford
situation and what are you hearing from people now that
we've got boots on the ground in India about a
potential trade away from LA What the hell.

Speaker 6 (21:12):
Are they doing? What are they doing? And give me
your plan if you get rid of Matthew Stafford, what
are you doing? That guy was winning whiskers of beating
the eagles on the road in the snow, and they're
gonna blow it up and get them out of there.
That makes no sense. So find a way to make
it work. And I think the Rams ideally they would
like to do that. Now that the money gets out
out of control and he demands this, demands that, then

(21:33):
they got to make a decision. But any way you can,
you have to try and make that work. What's your
option if you don't have him? Jimmy Garoppolo Aaron Rodgers?
I mean, what are your options if you don't have him?
So I think they have to find find a way
to make it work, and I think they will find
a way to make it work.

Speaker 2 (21:49):
You think so stay? Yeah, you think he stays in LA?

Speaker 6 (21:52):
I do I do because I don't think that. I mean,
think about it, guys, what is there if Sam Darnold?
Are you going to go pay not pay Matt Stafford?
To go pay Sam Darnold?

Speaker 2 (22:02):
What about?

Speaker 6 (22:04):
What you know? Look, the Jets don't have a quarterback
answer yet and they let him walk out the door,
So what you know? What's that tell you? About Rogers.
That means that there was problems there, and you know,
he wasn't exactly the warman, so the teammate that they
all loved, and they have some issues with him, so
they let him go out the door. So the Jets
don't have the answers either.

Speaker 1 (22:23):
You know, players didn't hold on The players never felt
that way about Rogers.

Speaker 6 (22:28):
No, the players didn't, but the organization did. The organization did.
And and Rogers he could be stubborn, he could be
stubborn at times, and he can be difficult at times,
which which I you know, look, that's up to figure
that out the way I look at it. But so, yeah, okay,
Rogers with with McVeigh, does that work?

Speaker 2 (22:47):
Yes? I think most quarterbacks with work does? Is that
not the case?

Speaker 6 (22:52):
Okay, but Jimmy Garoppolo and McVeigh work.

Speaker 2 (22:55):
Maybe yeah, maybe, well not as well as Rogers.

Speaker 6 (22:59):
Well, but but why would you even go into that
with a chance to keep Matt Stafford around for the
next two years or so? Why would you do that?

Speaker 2 (23:07):
I agree with that.

Speaker 1 (23:09):
I mean, we're not disagree with that, Pete. We're just
telling you what's been reported. And one of the reports
we saw was Matt Stafford. You know, maybe the Tennessee
Titans would be interested, which we know how you feel
about Will Levis, Pete, so, like thoughts on the potential
fit in Tennessee.

Speaker 6 (23:25):
I mean, if you're Matt Stafford, do you want to
go to Tennessee or they close to winning? They're not
close to if they.

Speaker 2 (23:30):
Pay him enough? I mean, is this about money too?

Speaker 6 (23:34):
Well, yeah, it's always about money, Brady, you know that.
But why you also have an opportunity, you know, to
stay with the Rams's if it's two million less than
going to the Titans, wouldn't you just rather stay with
the Rams?

Speaker 2 (23:45):
Well, that's the thing is, we don't know how much
less it is.

Speaker 6 (23:48):
Well that's the yeah, we don't. Nobody knows.

Speaker 2 (23:50):
And there's the Will Levis part of this.

Speaker 6 (23:52):
Right, what about the Will Levis part? You know what,
Will Levis should go sit on the Rams bench for
two years and then learn to play quarterback and become
part of that team. And I bet you he would
actually be good with Sean McVay. How about that?

Speaker 1 (24:06):
Pet So, I guess my question is do you think
they're done with Will loveson Tennessee?

Speaker 2 (24:10):
Then I don't know.

Speaker 6 (24:11):
I'm gonna talk to Brian Callahan at ten thirty. I'll
know more about that, Pete.

Speaker 5 (24:17):
Is that gonna will that bother you? If they just
turn the page on Will Levis this soon?

Speaker 6 (24:22):
No? You know why? You know why wouldn't bother me?
It would be just like all the other teams and
Pete personnel people in league would be when I got wrong.
Everybody gets them wrong, right, I mean, we all get
him wrong.

Speaker 2 (24:33):
How will you claim we're wrong? Pete?

Speaker 6 (24:38):
Brady, you're the one who can't say wrong.

Speaker 2 (24:42):
Pete, this is a lie.

Speaker 6 (24:44):
You're five from Happy Days Never. You can't say it.
You never said you never was.

Speaker 2 (24:50):
This is a lie.

Speaker 1 (24:51):
We had our season review yesterday and I had to
own up to big in the Cleveland Browns to win
the Super Bowl.

Speaker 2 (24:57):
He did. I had to own up to that.

Speaker 6 (25:00):
By the way. Here's how here's how wrong I fast.
When Brady Quinn was drafted by the Browns. I gave
that pick at a plus.

Speaker 2 (25:07):
Oh geez, thanks, Pete, appreciate it.

Speaker 6 (25:09):
I did.

Speaker 1 (25:11):
Here's the thing is it was it was one hundred
percent men. It was not the organization they've been fined
since tang.

Speaker 6 (25:17):
No, No, it wasn't you. It was the organization, and
it was the organization. It will continue to be the
organization because look at their quarterback meths they have right now.

Speaker 1 (25:26):
By the way, on that note, what do you expect
to hear about Cleveland and what they're going to do
this offseason with Watson and the quarterback position at all, Well.

Speaker 6 (25:34):
They have to find a quarterback. I mean, they have
to get somebody. You know, are they going to go
snowsing around Matt Stafford because we've heard that too, But
how do they how could they do that? How could
you possibly do that with what you're paying Deshaun Watson.
So they're gonna have to go on the cheap. They're
gonna have to find a cheap quarterback. And again, you know,
it's going to be a situation where they don't win
a lot of games because of their quarterback position. Here's

(25:56):
the other thing. They start selling off assets. You know,
then all of a sudden, you know, if Miles Garrett
goes out the door, then you're in complete rebuild mode
with a quarterback contract that's just hanging over your organization.
Was such a terrible it's the worst move in the
history of the National Football League ever by the way
and it's not close. If you you trade assets, picks

(26:19):
and everything else and then pay him that money, it's
the worst move in the history of the NFL. And
it's it's it's ruining any chance they have to be
a winning franchise.

Speaker 2 (26:28):
How long have you been there, Pete?

Speaker 6 (26:31):
Last night?

Speaker 2 (26:32):
Last night?

Speaker 4 (26:33):
Did you did you catch up with anybody once you
got in there or this morning? Like what what seems
to be kind of the storyline that that you're picking
up on if any at this point.

Speaker 6 (26:44):
Well, guys aren't working out, but there's more and more
that's that's going to happen. I think more and more.

Speaker 2 (26:49):
How was that?

Speaker 4 (26:50):
And maybe you don't have that just yet, but I
would be curious how is that being received by gms
and coaches that there's there's the seeming going to be
a larger number of guys that aren't participating like that.
You know in our day that was not that was
totally frowned upon and they found a way to shame

(27:11):
you in the media if you didn't compete, like oh
what do they have?

Speaker 2 (27:14):
The hives?

Speaker 4 (27:15):
Well, all these different things like but it seems like
it's become a more commonplace to opt out of things.

Speaker 6 (27:21):
Yeah, and then you know what, I have no problem
with it. I never have if you feel more comfortable
working out of your pro day. And by the way,
the tape doesn't lie. Most of the tapes is what
you really pay attention to anyways. But I have no
problem with it. Most of these guys come here with
the medicals and interviews. That's why they want them here.
So that's the most important part of it. So if
you don't work out here, you feel comfortable at your

(27:43):
own place. That's one thing. But you know, there's also
I talked to somebody, like I know, we were talking
about how Shador Sanders is he hiding his arm? Is
that why he doesn't want to throw here against some
of the other guys He's going to look, you know, exposed.
I mean, I don't buy that. I think if you're
more comfortable throw in to your guys at Colorado, and
there's a lot of good receivers on that team, then
why not go throw with them and take it that far.

(28:06):
By the way, I'm not one of those guys that
put the pun in those pro days because I mean, everybody,
you know, I go back to a story the guy
told me years and years ago about a pro day.
Kyle Bowler, did I ever tell you guys this story?
Kyle Bowler was you remember Kyle Bowler?

Speaker 2 (28:19):
Yeah, get armed.

Speaker 6 (28:22):
Well that's the knee story everybody knows. But there's a
second part of that story. There was a garbage can
about forty five yards on the down the field, on
the sideline, and he told all this guy, he goes,
watch me, I'm gonna throw it in there. And he's
throwing it and he's throwing it and he can't get it
in there. And you know, finally this group of scouts
and personnel people had to leave. They had to go
catch their flights and get out of there. And so

(28:42):
they were walking up the stadium steps and next thing
you know, they hear I did it because there was
no nobody, nobody was watching them. The pressure was off
and so and the scouty told me that. I said,
he goes, he played like that too when he got
into the league. You know, when the pressure was already
couldn't handle it.

Speaker 2 (28:59):
Wow.

Speaker 5 (29:00):
Bullivus trash Can at Pete Prisco joining us here on
Fox Sports Radio. Uh, thus far in watching and evaluating
this draft, and now that you're there in Indianapolis.

Speaker 2 (29:10):
Which position group is impressing the most?

Speaker 6 (29:14):
Well in starting, you know, doing all the tapewoark. I
think the defensive tackle group is phenomenal. I think there's
a lot of those guys. If you need big interior players,
you're going to get them in this draft led by
Mason Graham, even as teammate Grant. I think the two
Oregon kids you know, are both really good. You know
you got the kid at Mississippi. There's a lot of
really good interior defensive linemen you can get this draft.

(29:37):
The running back group, by the way, and dare I
say it, since everybody knows I pick on running backs,
I think it's loaded. And people will say, well, there's
no you know, Genti's the star. But there's a lot
of guys, a lot all the way down, different kind
of guys. You know, you have the you know, you
have Hampton at at North Carolina, big power runner. You
have the guys, all the speed guys like Smith at

(29:59):
sen you and you know the running back of Virginia
Tech is a flyer. I mean, you've got a lot
of backs in this draft. So if you need a back,
you know my motto on backs, you draft him in
the third or fourth round, you run him into the ground,
and four years.

Speaker 2 (30:13):
Later you're drafting, Um, you're built like a running back. Pete,
damn Pete.

Speaker 6 (30:20):
Yeah, I'm scataboo. I'm scatah I like that.

Speaker 1 (30:23):
Hey, Pete, I got to ask you a couple of
things quickly. Is there one player in particular you're looking
forward to seeing at the combine? And then also, uh,
what what is your go to when you go to Indianapolis?
Do you have a certain place you go eat? Is
there a certain like you know, I guess meet and
greet you're looking for, probably Bosselli now that he's in

(30:44):
the front office and he knows more than you. Is
it seeing Tony Boselli at some point with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Speaker 2 (30:49):
What exactly is it?

Speaker 6 (30:51):
Well? First off, like I said, you know, I'm Bacelli.
I have to teach it. I taught him everything. He
knows that I sent him free. And then you know,
Rich Spielman back on the street again. I saw Rick
wearing his jets GARB yesterday. I go, why do we
do it? He's back back with his jets GARB. I go, Rick,
I set you free again. You learned you spent two
years learning from me. So I take my pupils and

(31:13):
I set them free, and then now they're out doing
their things. So I look forward to seeing those guys.
The spot, you know, Brady, that sports bar in the
in the JW. Marriott. That's where everybody comes in there.
And and then you know there's always a couple other places,
say now mos you walk in there and everybody's you know,
challenging down on you know, seventy five dollars steaks or
whatever they are, and you could find guys you know,

(31:33):
where to go. Gray, you were, you were part of it.
You were around here, you were you were one of
those guys looking for information back in the day.

Speaker 2 (31:40):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (31:40):
About information, usually seeing my buddies. But yes, if you
got a steak and shake at three am, at least,
it used to be this way.

Speaker 6 (31:47):
If you go to more, I don't think so any more, Brady.
First off, you know they have the meetings until ten
now and then the steak and shake. I don't that
used to be before cell phones, and there were a
lot of other runs way back in today because that wasn't.

Speaker 2 (32:01):
Cell phones, Pete hell, that was when we were working
together i'd go visit with coaches.

Speaker 6 (32:04):
I'm saying. I'm saying there were things that went on
here before cell phones that would make your toes curl.
I think I mean.

Speaker 1 (32:12):
Debating that, but I will say that it's been towed
down a lot, like there's not as much partying going on.
I mean there's a number of teams that probably instead
of the entire staffs or coaches.

Speaker 6 (32:21):
Right, what did you say, Yeah, they don't send many Yeah. Yeah,
it's trimmed down, like the Rams have trimmed their group
and some teams do. But for the most part, you
know what it is. It's one big NFL convention, That's
what it is. And you know, every agent in the
league is here, every every guy trying to get you know,
the weight lifting guys that come spend their time with

(32:42):
him is here. You know, the training session, every everybody's here,
new equipment, they're all lined up selling their stuff. I mean,
it's it's one big, giant NFL convention is basically what
it is. And it's just football, and it's just football.

Speaker 2 (32:57):
And Pete, what's the night.

Speaker 5 (32:58):
People can expect you to be just tore up from
the floor when you're out.

Speaker 6 (33:03):
I don't get tore up from the floor up anymore.
I outgrew that, I think. I mean, I don't have
a couple of beers here and there, but tore up
from the floor up. No, not me anymore. I mean
I used to, don't get me wrong, but not anymore.
I can't handle that. You got to get up the
next day. You know, I'm not young like you guys.
I'm an old part. I mean, I can't do that anymore. No,

(33:24):
I mean I look like you know what I look like,
I would look like the three you did it.

Speaker 2 (33:28):
The day I I was, I was hurt. That's unfair, man.

Speaker 6 (33:37):
And by the way, and by the way, if I
ranked them, if I ranked them, LeVar, you were far
worse than everybody else I was.

Speaker 4 (33:44):
I was you had like you met like you went
like fourteen rounds with the bottle that night.

Speaker 2 (33:52):
He was second, though that and that includes our producer
who was second.

Speaker 6 (34:00):
Well, I smelled booze on you. But I think number
two was your producer.

Speaker 4 (34:05):
I'm in a safe assessment or assumption, but I gotta
say Q definitely was was competing for number one.

Speaker 1 (34:13):
You didn't you didn't see me at the beginning of
the show, Pete, I was was it a bad place
you was competing?

Speaker 6 (34:17):
I mean, I'll be honest with you, Brady. I've been
around you a long time, and I've been out the
next day around you the next day after we had
gone out and had a few or whatever. I don't
think I've ever smelled booze on you like I did
that morning.

Speaker 2 (34:29):
Yeah. It was a late night, early morning. So much
we could do there.

Speaker 6 (34:33):
Yeah, fun, you were the booze Operata.

Speaker 5 (34:40):
I get him on x AT. He's the great Pete

didn't Brady respond to.

Speaker 1 (35:55):
The video that I'm gonna be honest?

Speaker 2 (35:58):
What am I supposed to respond to that? There wasn't
like sound. It was hard to tell what the hell

Speaker 2 (36:58):
Right to laugh. What do we got?

Speaker 7 (36:59):
Well, guys, Uh, we got Mavericks at Lakers tonight.

Speaker 2 (37:03):
That's a first game. Lucas gonna be playing his old team.

Speaker 3 (37:06):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (37:07):
Nice, it's exciting.

Speaker 4 (37:09):
Sure, that's sure leftovers. Huh that's Lee's leftovers.

Speaker 2 (37:13):
Yeah. Are you gonna be watching?

Speaker 7 (37:14):
I will be watching tonight, will right before the h
WE meeting. Well, actually, it's tipping off Reds. That's what
I'm more interested in.

Speaker 2 (37:21):
Lee.

Speaker 7 (37:23):
I will have a little bit to drink, but no,
I will not be drinking heavy because I have an
HI weight meeting tonight.

Speaker 2 (37:28):
Are on my old apartment?

Speaker 4 (37:30):
Are y'all on good terms or or has has that
continued on or has there been any changes?

Speaker 2 (37:37):
It's it's always day to day. You know, what's today.
It's the beginning of the day.

Speaker 7 (37:41):
So that well, you know, and then I got it,
and then it'll be yes and then it'll be no again.

Speaker 2 (37:45):
Uh. What was yesterday? Yeah? It was yesterday good, it
was solid. Yeah, yesterday was okay, and then it ended poorly.
Why did it end poorly?

Speaker 9 (37:55):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (37:56):
Because I had a nightcap. I had more than a nightcat. Really,
tell us, tell us, what do you mean more than
a nightcat?

Speaker 4 (38:04):
Well?

Speaker 7 (38:04):
I was trying to go out and see uh go
hang out with Todd, and she just wasn't having it,
and uh so I left Todd, came back, gave her
a piece of my mind and had a drink.

Speaker 2 (38:12):
You gave her a piece of your mind? I did,
like and like.

Speaker 4 (38:16):
Your girl piece of your mind or like, you know,
like really like gave her a piece of your mind?

Speaker 2 (38:21):
Yeah, I kind of. Did you have a drink right
in front of her? Yeah? You open it right in
front of her and guzzled it. Hey, Lee? Yeah good?
You know what?

Speaker 1 (38:28):
I know what The real story here is was that
the only reason you came back gave you a piece
of your mind is because you are your parents place.
If you weren't there, she would have kicked your ass?

Speaker 6 (38:39):
Now?

Speaker 2 (38:39):
Is that true? Lee? No? Lee? Maybe I don't know.

Speaker 4 (38:43):
Like, do you do you feel safer doing that confronting
her in your parents house than you would in your
own apartment?

Speaker 2 (38:50):
Same, same, same, but.

Speaker 1 (38:51):
That's not handled the same because she will not respond
the same.

Speaker 7 (38:55):
If anything, I feel I feel worse having a fight
at the folks place like that. Don't really parents say nothing,
that's not true. I mean they stayed. Everyone stays to
their own. Would be ready to get in front of
each other.

Speaker 4 (39:13):
If I was arguing like that with a girlfriend and
she was living in there, my mom be like, like,
let's take it outside, like you and me, Like, you
ain't gonna be talking to my.

Speaker 2 (39:23):
Baby like that. Oh yeah, what up? Like, let's get
it in. What's up? Curling?

Speaker 4 (39:28):
Curling? Caser, curling up, curling? Go ahead, Lee, That's why
I knew one. So so you guys are on good
terms even though you mashed on her like you crashed
out on her last night.

Speaker 2 (39:40):
This is the same thing every.

Speaker 7 (39:41):
Day, fighting you would you're fighting, then you what and then.

Speaker 2 (39:47):
We make up? You don't like the make up? Wow?
All right?

Speaker 6 (39:51):
All right?

Speaker 2 (39:52):
Oh there you go. A's left over?

Speaker 5 (39:55):
Are you gonna have a throat burner while you're watching
uh Luca's revenge game?

Speaker 7 (39:58):
I'm gonna have a little hair of the dog right now,
and the little hair of the dog now, take it easy, Yeah,
