they indeed strike out on Matthew Stafford, we will discuss.
We're also going to have more conversations about NFL rumors

any part of the Cleveland Browns and you can blame

Woo morning boys.
Speaker 1 (01:48):
Woo morning. Yeah, we are here. It is a Friday,
and so we do have a little bit of an update.
I know we're reaching out to Jordan Schultz yesterday. He
is well, he's he's going to try to come on
today at some point.
Speaker 4 (02:06):
That thing is blown up. Have you noticed that?
Speaker 5 (02:09):
Yeah, I'm even tn T the basketball guys were talking
about it.
Speaker 4 (02:13):
Yeah, it's gotten crazy.
Speaker 1 (02:17):
Well, listen, you know you want to throw down a
couple of reporters at a at a Starbucks and you know,
we'll try and get a Jordan's side of it, because
rap reports made the rounds, and I'm not sure what
would be proud about his involvement of all that. But nonetheless,
we were off and running here, and we've got more
storylines from around the NFL in the off season and
(02:38):
for everybody wondering, hey, so what's going to happen when
it comes to Travis Kelcey and whether or not he's
going to come back for another year with the Kansas
City Chiefs, have no fear. Travis Kelcey is back, and
that news was announced a couple of different ways, one
of which was on the Pat McAfee show starring AJ Hawk,
(03:00):
which he texted Pat McAfee and the message was, I'm
coming back for sure. Gonna try to get into the
best shape I've been this offseason and get into the mountaintop.
Got a real bad taste in my mouth about how
I played in the last game and with how I
let the guy, I got the guys ready for battle.
I can't go out like that. Later on via the
(03:22):
New Heights podcast and the Twitter account there, he just wrote,
it's time for year thirteen.
Speaker 2 (03:28):
So Travis Kelly sounded when he was saying it.
Speaker 6 (03:31):
That's how it sound by Red Well, No, it's just
a tweet or it was a that's how you heard
his voice in your head when you were saying it.
Speaker 2 (03:39):
What do you want me to do? I don't know. Well,
go ahead, go cue. I was just kidding.
Speaker 5 (03:45):
I thought kind of the same thing. Maybe you're gonna
do more of an impression on Travis Kelcey.
Speaker 1 (03:49):
I mean, if we if we want to go there
this early, all right, let's give it a whirl.
Speaker 2 (03:53):
Let's try it again. Okay, I'm calling back for sure.
Speaker 1 (03:57):
I'm gonna try to get into the best shape I've
been this off seas, get back to the mountain top.
Got a real bad taste in my mouth with how
I played the last game and with how I got
the guys ready for battle.
Speaker 2 (04:10):
Go out like.
Speaker 5 (04:10):
That way better? Now, why are you talking like that?
Why do you why do you say it like that
this time around?
Speaker 6 (04:21):
Hey man, I liked it. I thought it was funny,
more accurate. I mean, I don't know that it was
more accurate. I just thought it was funny as they
all though. You know, there's a little hint of that
from time to time. We knew he was coming back, right,
I mean, we knew he was coming back.
Speaker 1 (04:39):
I don't know, did anybody actually think he wasn't?
Speaker 6 (04:45):
Again, I think you still have to look at Travis
Kelcey as a bonus. This is a bonus season for you.
It's a bonus game, it's a bonus practice. Whatever it
is that you get from Travis Kelcey. From this moment on,
you're you're playing with house money. I mean, he's getting
up there in age. He's had a brilliant career. Clearly,
(05:08):
you know, the wear and tear is starting to take
take hold or more than you know years past, which
is that's natural. But yeah, I mean I think that
he certainly shows that he has enough left. I mean,
he made a lot of plays again this year and
was a main go to guy still still Patrick Mahomes,
(05:30):
in my estimation, his his go to guy, the guy
he depends on. So running it back after a heart
loss like that, you know, I think it played out
the way that I think most people thought it would.
Speaker 2 (05:45):
Yeah, I don't.
Speaker 1 (05:45):
I just I don't know how you would want to
go out a career that he's had with a performance
like that. I think probably the entire team's motivated if
it was, we're kind of kicking this.
Speaker 2 (05:56):
Around, Brady.
Speaker 1 (05:57):
Do you believe that if he had played really well
but it was a close loss, that he would be
content with walking away or more content with walking away.
Speaker 4 (06:08):
No, I don't.
Speaker 5 (06:10):
I think he's the type of guy who's a winner
and he wants to win and go out on a
high note on a Super Bowl. And we talked about this,
you know after the game that when Patrick Mahomes is
your quarterback, Andy Reid's your coach, you really can't take
that lightly and turn that down to come back when
you're in his position, which you know, even though he's
(06:30):
a first ballot Hall of Famer and he's been phenomenal,
it's still the opportunity.
Speaker 4 (06:35):
I mean, we hear.
Speaker 5 (06:35):
Rob Gronkowski who's kicking the tires on wanting to come back.
Speaker 4 (06:39):
And play agains.
Speaker 2 (06:40):
Is that a real story.
Speaker 5 (06:42):
I mean, it's out there whether it is or it is,
and I think a lot of players probably toy with that.
You get away from the game for a little bit,
your body starts feeling better, You start looking at other
guys or you know, in his case, how different the
game has become for tight ends and really pass catchers.
It's got a little soft for a little easier in
some ways. He's probably looking at saying like, yeah, I
(07:03):
can go back and do that. I could do some
spot work for some guys. So and by the way,
like with what these guys are getting paid, if I
can come back now, I'm going to try to do
that to make as much as I possibly can. I'm
telling you it is a shock for a lot of
players when they get out of the game of football
for a year or two and they can't live the
(07:25):
lifestyle they were when they were playing.
Speaker 4 (07:28):
It's just hard.
Speaker 5 (07:30):
I mean, it's hard enough for humans in general to
budget and learn how to save money and not spending
all that most most people have a hard time with it,
and they don't know how to save they don't know
how to live in a modest lifestyle, and they want
to stay that that way. So if they're not earning
that sort of income outside of it, which very few
are able to, they're like, I.
Speaker 4 (07:51):
Want to get back in.
Speaker 5 (07:53):
So you know that doesn't necessarily apply to Travis Kelcey,
but in this case, I just think there's no way
you pass up the opportunity to play with Patrick mahomes
in this in the prime of his career, when they
have all these things going kind of the right direction
if you can. Now the question becomes, if you're the
Kansasity Chiefs, you know, what are you willing to pay
(08:15):
Travis Kelce because based on that last performance, even at times,
based on how he played last year, I would have
some questions about what he looks like for seventeen games
this upcoming season plus the playoffs.
Speaker 4 (08:27):
You know, can his body hold up? Can he move
the same?
Speaker 5 (08:30):
It doesn't feel like he has the same type of
impact as he used to.
Speaker 4 (08:36):
So is he understanding of that?
Speaker 5 (08:38):
You know, is he gonna be able to one to say, yeah,
I'm willing to go chase another ring, another title, to
go out the right way as opposed to worrying about
making an extra you know, million or two or three
here there. I mean, that's that's gonna be a tough
conversation for a guy, again who's a first ballot Hall
of Famer.
Speaker 6 (08:56):
I feel like it's got to be a no brainer.
If you're going to continue on, you can continue on
with with the Kansas City Chiefs and whatever that conversation is.
In terms of financially, I mean, obviously, you let your
agent do what he's going to do in the scenario.
But I'm telling my agent, don't don't poison this well,
(09:16):
don't don't, don't do it. We're not going to do that.
Whatever it is that it's going to be, Let's make
that work. In the long run, that's gonna that's gonna
mean more monetarily for for Kelsey than it would be
if he went somewhere else.
Speaker 2 (09:33):
I don't.
Speaker 6 (09:34):
If you're going to go somewhere else and it's based
upon the money, then you should just retire. Now, That's
what I would That's what I would say, because you've
had too much of a I mean, I don't know,
has there ever been a tight end that's that's been
to that many Championship rounds and Super Bowls? I mean,
(09:54):
I know brunk might be closed from the playoffs, stand
with the numbers or it's not.
Speaker 2 (09:59):
It's stagger. Yeah, I don't. I just don't.
Speaker 6 (10:02):
I don't think that would be wise to make it
about money, because there's so much money waiting for him
outside of the game anyway. I don't think you and listen,
does it damage his brand?
Speaker 2 (10:13):
I don't.
Speaker 6 (10:13):
I don't think it damages what he's done at all.
I just don't think where he's at physically, Why would
you want to, Like you said, Q, I'm doubling down
and I'm coming back and I'm gonna push through because
I know that I got a chance with Patrick Mahomes
and Andy Reid coaching the team, and Veitch's is a
dope ass GM. I know he's going to bring in
(10:33):
players that are going to hopefully make our team better.
That's what they've done, That's what they're known for. They
find a way to win every single year. Why would
you say at any point in time, Yeah, at this
point in my career, at the end, I'm clearly at
the end because I'm contemplating retirement at the end of
every season I talk about it, we have to have
(10:54):
you know, news about it, because well, I'm announcing that
I'm coming back. It's significant nough off of a conversation
where it makes its rounds through the media. Why and
why would you go somewhere else now? Like, I just don't.
I don't think that that would be to his benefit.
Speaker 1 (11:11):
Who was it you were saying, LeVar that was empty calories,
which was.
Speaker 6 (11:16):
Just Bradford, not Bradford why do I love saying Sam Bradford,
he's the other us Barkley.
Speaker 2 (11:24):
Donald, Donald, Travis Kelcey.
Speaker 1 (11:27):
Last year, Sam Donald, Travis Kelsey had ninety seven catches
last year. But it just didn't feel like it was
the same, Like there wasn't you know, like you looked
at it at the end of it, You're like, wow,
he almost had a hundred grabs, but it wasn't. It
just wasn't the same. So, I mean, and there was Look,
there was speculation that he was sick before the Super Bowl,
(11:47):
that he was dealing with a severe illness, and maybe
that had something to do with it. I just I'm
kind of into the Chiefs coming back on a red
ass tour looking going, we're not going to present that
in a big game again, and so let's give this,
you know, one last go with everybody, Chris Jones, Mahomes,
(12:07):
Travis Kelcey, Andy Reid, and then they go on their little,
uh scorched to earth tour this upcoming season. That'll be
a lot of fun.
Speaker 5 (12:16):
So just to kind of further the statistical argument, Yeah,
ninety seven receptions, all right, which was more than he
had the year before, but less yards. In fact, he
was two yards less per reception, only three touchdown receptions
in the course of the regular season, which is a
pretty significant drop off, you know, if you're being honest
(12:39):
with yourself, yards after the catch again, his lowest he's
had since I don't know twenty eighteen. That leaves to
obscene kind of looking at this. You know, you start
looking at you know, how many of those catches went
for first downs? Usually something again your tight ends kind
of your your chain mover. Lowest number he's had in
(13:02):
that span as well, So like all those numbers are
trending down, and that's probably the thing that makes you
kind of say, all right, like is there is is
this just like a fluke or is this Hey, he's
what thirty five? Give me thirty six. He's once one
more shot at it, and he's gonna do everything he
(13:23):
can in the offseason to prepare himself for it, which
honestly was the best thing Jonas when you did that
impression that I heard from you is because when you
when you watched him this year, it just felt like
he didn't have the same explosion samet pop. You know,
at his age, maybe he can he can get some
of that bag.
Speaker 4 (13:42):
I don't know. How do you want to last offseason?
Speaker 2 (13:44):
Went? Do you want to reiterate that part of the Uh?
Speaker 4 (13:47):
Yeah, could you one more time?
Speaker 1 (13:48):
I'm gonna try to get into the best ship I've
been in this offseason and get back to the mountain top.
Speaker 4 (13:54):
Thanks the mountain what top? Okay?
Speaker 5 (14:01):
So my my thing is if he does fully invest
and he's not, you know, not saying that going touring
with Taylor Swift point an impact, but maybe it did,
you know, maybe and after winning two Super Bowls there
was some things that were taking for granted. I don't
know that you make a statement like that like he's gonna,
you know, try to put himself in the best physical
(14:23):
shape and get back to the mountaintop. Like you don't
say those things if you had exhausted all efforts at
preparing yourself and then it just didn't work out, you
know what I'm saying? Yeah, like your comments probably more
like you know, I did everything in my in my
power and my ability to I.
Speaker 2 (14:41):
Ain't got nothing left for y'all. And my guest tank,
my guest tank on.
Speaker 4 (14:45):
Eang is that is that what it's saying?
Speaker 2 (14:51):
I just where did I grow up? Where'd I from?
Speaker 4 (14:55):
They're from Ohio.
Speaker 6 (14:56):
Man. Oh yeah, well yeah, yeah, that's possible. That's very possible.
It was very possible. Wests a nice Westlakes, a nice area. Yeah,
they still talk like that a little bit in nice areas.
In those areas too, though. Pittsburgh. Yeah, yeah, they either
talk like you or they it's kind of like in between.
(15:17):
They could be a mash up between you and me
and and and how that all plays out.
Speaker 4 (15:21):
Do you look at levard You're like, these guys are confused.
Speaker 6 (15:25):
No, No, because I grew up around it, you know,
like I grew up around it, so I know how
that rolls. You got the like the Italian way of talking,
you got, you got, you got the you know, I'm
around I'm around the homies kind of conversation and speak.
(15:46):
And be clear, this is not Rachel, because you have
black dudes that sound just like you, and you have
white dudes that sound just like I'm just saying.
Speaker 2 (16:00):
Whom I don't know. I don't know, Bud, I'm just saying.
Speaker 5 (16:07):
Hey, buddy, buddy, pal, Hey, Hey there, cheating guy, Hey cheap.
Speaker 6 (16:14):
Well listen, now you see that guy right there, that's
a hoss right there. You see that guy that's him
right there.
Speaker 2 (16:20):
Well, I do know this great word. By the way,
b A eight, I mean that that was we grew
up on that word. Right.
Speaker 6 (16:26):
Come on, hoss, come on yeah, come on, b A
A went in dout b A A.
Speaker 2 (16:31):
Come on house. You know what b A A is right?
Be an athlete?
Speaker 6 (16:35):
Oh well I'm not so. Yeah, Hey, that's his. Coaches
always say that's your go to line. You ain't got
nothing else to say, you know what? Hey, hey, hoss, Hey, hey,
b A turn a walk away? Hey, riverside, give me
the horn, let's get a break?
Speaker 2 (16:57):
One two three? Do you learn?
Speaker 1 (16:58):
Well, I do have something we can all agree on.
It doesn't matter if you're black, white, magenta, like, you
could be whatever the hell you want.
Speaker 2 (17:06):
That's fine. Yeah, you could be Lee, could be anybody. Yeah.
Did you see that that picture that cud of Walda
social media? You saw that?
Speaker 4 (17:19):
Lee? I didn't see it.
Speaker 2 (17:21):
Yeah, it's there, And someone send this to me. It's
already in your text. It's there. Which is what is it?
Speaker 4 (17:31):
Well, we've got a couple going on now.
Speaker 2 (17:33):
Yeah, well Berto gets involved.
Speaker 1 (17:36):
When Berto gets in, I'm like, all right, is anybody
that gets this? Because they all speak Spanish, and I
don't know what. I don't know what to do with it.
Speaker 6 (17:43):
Oh no, oh, no, word to one is that?
Speaker 4 (17:50):
Just make sure sounds.
Speaker 2 (17:52):
Mason, Mason there it is? Yeah, what the hell is this?
You just how to go past the lady talking? That's
that's the other night.
Speaker 5 (18:09):
I'm fascinated by how other people like live. You know, Okay,
what did you do last night?
Speaker 6 (18:19):
You didn't see that the bid to make a pass?
Speaker 1 (18:25):
By the way, is that just booze? Or did he
get slept? Did somebody knock him out? Because that looks
like he took a right hand.
Speaker 2 (18:31):
And ended up in a book?
Speaker 1 (18:34):
Wow? All right, well we do know this. It's a
football Friday, all right, yeah, Friday?
Speaker 7 (18:41):
All right, all right everybody, yeah, yeah, Friday.
Speaker 2 (19:00):
Mountains.
Speaker 4 (19:01):
Let's get to the mountaintop.
Speaker 2 (19:02):
Let's get to the mountaintop. We'll come back in hard
to get to the mountaintop. All right. Come on, come on,
come on, come on, come on, come on, let's do
it right. Let's do it right. Come on, Friday night.
Speaker 4 (19:16):
Is a Friday?
Speaker 2 (19:19):
Whoa football Friday? Come on doing it?
Speaker 6 (19:23):
Here we go two pro you got a cup of joe.
Speaker 2 (19:27):
It is Friday.
Speaker 1 (19:29):
It is a football Friday here and Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe. So we are gonna have the
usuals coming up hop here on we have another edition
of Case She Missed It. We're gonna pop it now
or two and then we'll close up shop with Lee's leftovers.
All it is yours here from the ti rack dot
Com studios. But we do have an update on the
big story in the NFL at the Combine and Indie.
(19:49):
Very interesting things starting to heat up. We'll get into
that for you right here on FSR.
Speaker 3 (19:54):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Ering to
and then Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern, three
am Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 1 (20:09):
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe, Fox Sports Radio,
LeVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you here coming
up about twenty minutes from now here from the tire
rack dot Com Studios. Apparently things are getting worse for
a player who already had a real rough year in
the NFL last season. We'll get into that for you
here on Fox Sports Radio. We referenced the situation the
(20:30):
near fight between Jordan Schultz and Ian Rappaport that was
all centered around Tom Brady and Matthew Stafford skiing together
in Montana. Jordan Schultz saying they were discussing contracts. Tom
Brady hosted him trying to convince him to go with
the Raiders. Ian Rappaport said, no, they just coincidence they
(20:51):
ran into each other. The league is said, no tampering.
They've given him permission to go talk with other teams,
so they're calling that no tampering. We do have another
update on this situation. According to the Las Vegas Review Journal,
common ground has been found between Matthew Stafford and the
(21:15):
Raiders on a contract, and now it just comes down
to whether or not they can agree to some sort
of trade compensation. There's also a report out that the Giants.
Speaker 2 (21:25):
You don't think the Giants might try to slide in
well there there.
Speaker 1 (21:29):
The report is the Giants are all in on Matthew
Stafford and if they don't land him, there's some talk
that they would try and trade up to the number
one pick. So all of that is surrounding Matthew Stafford,
who a few appears.
Speaker 6 (21:41):
Like they take a QB. Yeah you take cam Ward? Yeah,
mostly wow. So that's the big domino to fall Matthew Stafford.
So why you say, oh yeah, I like that. Give me,
give me, give me what you're thinking of cam Order
or yeah, to move up, to go go all in
on number one, give me give me what you're thinking.
Speaker 5 (22:00):
Well, here's the problem with doing that. There's a number
of things to play. So since Joe Shane has gotten
there and they really haven't made a move at the
quarterback spot yet, he's talked about it this offseason of
how that's the one you just guys keep taking swings at.
So outside of bringing in Drew Locke, who really wasn't
(22:24):
a battle last year, It felt like it was Daniel Jones' job.
He was healthy and then maybe Drew Locke would get
an opportunity or something, they haven't really taken swings at
that quarterback position.
Speaker 4 (22:35):
So I feel like there's an immense amount of.
Speaker 5 (22:37):
Pressure based on how last year went and how it
looked letting Sakuan go to Philly, how he impacted that team,
how Daniel Jones played, what that had been, and really
like what what kind of all happened with the New
York Giants. It's led them now to feel like it's
they're going to address it in whatever scenario they can,
(22:58):
and it feels desperate. I don't know if you guys
feel or see it that way, but usually when you
make decisions out of desperation, then I'm not making them
great decisions. So what's interesting about this is if they
don't get staff or they just pivot and say, let's
just trade up to the number one spot and we'll
take the guy who we think is the best. So
my inclination is it would be cam Ward for a
(23:22):
few reasons. He's got the stronger arm between him and
Shore Door Sanders. I think when you watch his tape
you see some of like the wow plays and ability
that he can demonstrate. He's got a tremendous amount of
poise in the pocket. I mean almost, and I've said
this before, like almost two calm, like to the sense
(23:42):
where maybe you want to have a little more urgency
or you're not gonna be able to stand flat footed
back there, because that's not how the pockets will work
in the NFL, especially for a New York Giants team
that struggled to protect their quarterback. So I would say
cam Ward, to me, exhibits some of the things that
people will like and says the best quarterback. There's things
(24:03):
that I like about Shador Sanders where I'd probably maybe
put him one a His arm's not as strong, but
I think he plays within the confines of a system
extremely well. I think he throws with great touch. I
think he's got amazing accuracy, and all those things to
me translate over to the NFL game.
Speaker 4 (24:22):
Now.
Speaker 5 (24:22):
The thing about cam Ward that's always been impressive is
he went from Incarnate Word to Washington State to Miami,
three different systems you could almost say three kind of
different levels of football for being honest with ourselves too,
and he's excelled at every single one. And he's a
little bigger than shadoor is and he's a little more
mobile too, So all those things I mean. It d
really is kind of a like pick you, you know,
(24:45):
pick whichever one you feel like is best, because they
both have attributes where you could see them being a
number one guy. That being said, based on what I've
seen from them as a prospect, and I'll go back
and say this again, I don't I wouldn't put them
ahead of the first four quarterbacks that were taken in
the last year's draft class. I just I wouldn't like
(25:06):
what Jayden Daniels proved in his career, what Caleb Williams did,
what Michael Pennock showcased, what bo Nicks had did his
last two years in particular at Organ. I mean, all
their tape led me to feel more comfortable and confident
in what they could be in the NFL as a
prospect than these two. I mean, Jaj McCarthy's the is
(25:26):
the one you've kind of put in that conversation and say, okay,
now we're now we've got some you know, compare you know, comparables,
things to look at as far as tools, et cetera,
and maybe some questions. But he, to me was one
that's like, dude, it kids, kids won every level he's
been at, you know. So there's some intangibles there that
you can't put your finger on what it is, but
clearly he's got it. So that's the problem is you've
(25:48):
got a Giants team that whatever the first priority is,
they need to sell out on that. Whoever that quarterback is,
if it's Matt Stafford, go after Stafford because if you
if you do this and you know, trade away a
bunch of assets. You traded number one. We've seen this before.
There is no guarantee you are going to survive as
a general manager or head coach.
Speaker 2 (26:10):
That's the point. That's the reason why look at the Bears.
Speaker 5 (26:13):
Look at the Bears like like you had Caleb blimps
E before, still gets fired, right like you get we
can go through like years of looking at this where
guys have gotten drafted and they've drafted rookie quarterbacks. Coach
still gets fired, Jim still gets fired. It does not
save you. That's the biggest misnomber there is this time
of year.
Speaker 2 (26:31):
I mean justin Fields when he got drafted.
Speaker 6 (26:34):
Yeah, but that was the reason why I asked about
the like for sure going to number one in terms
of like the response I was looking for like.
Speaker 1 (26:45):
That you have to with how bad that played out
last year and what happened with Saquon and the Daniel
Jones stuff, They've got to hit it.
Speaker 6 (26:53):
Here's here's the problem is what Q just said. I
think both of those specs, both Cam and Shador, without
even comparing them to to any other class or anything,
I think both of them have a real opportunity to
be fine quarterbacks at this next level problem is is
(27:14):
are they going into a scenario in a situation where
you have a desperation movement with what's taking place? Is
a desperation on the head coach's part, is a desperation
on the GM's part. That could I was about to
use a term that would get dump, but it shouldn't
get dump. But what that stunt, the growth would stumped
(27:38):
somebody's listening. I just had to talk with mil Heuser
yesterday and Kirk, you know the people are listening.
Speaker 2 (27:46):
Listen. The point is.
Speaker 6 (27:50):
Their growth is what I think I believe is most
important for these two in particular in terms of what
Shador and what cam are able to do immediately right
out to shoot. Can they have the type of impact
that Jaydon Daniels had this year or c J Stroud
(28:12):
when he came in. Can they have that same type
of impact. The possibilities are there, I think, especially athletically
speaking for cam Ward, I think the possibilities are there
the system that Shador played in, the possibilities are there
that they can transition. But I just think that coming
into a scenario where there's so much pressure on what
(28:35):
takes place on as you guys mentioned something, hitting it
doesn't make it safe for day Ball, doesn't make it
a safe scenario for their GM. So are you going
to really take that chance on getting this number one
pick and bringing in this quarterback and hoping that he's
(28:57):
able to change the fortunes of your French guys day
one on going out there on that field. I think
that's very high. I think that's a very lofty deal
to put on a young quarterback shoulders. And that's why
I feel like, if you're going, if you're willing to
do what it takes to get a number one pick,
if you weren't to get Matthew Stafford, then you gotta
(29:19):
get them. They're like, no question about it, you have
to get Matthew Stafford because that's probably his biggest leverage
in this scenario, is that the the programs that are
going to go get him are are programs that are
in as desperate and as dire need of hitting at
(29:41):
that position and that position doing very well immediately. And
that's why you can find common ground if you're the Raiders.
And that's why if I'm the New York Giants, I'm
going to go all in on trying to make this happen.
I don't think you cannot get Matthew Stafford if you're
saying that you're going all in to get a quarterback,
and that's what it sounds like bout saying they want
(30:01):
Matthew Stafford.
Speaker 1 (30:02):
Let's just say they land Stafford. They've still got the
number three pick.
Speaker 2 (30:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (30:08):
I mean there's like there's a chance that they could
end up this offseason with Matthew Stafford and Travis Hunter
as new additions. That's not a bad start to the
offseason as far as what they've got, Malik Neighbors like,
I don't know if they would be willing to That's
why I'm wondering.
Speaker 2 (30:26):
Let's say O line or or receiver.
Speaker 1 (30:29):
Man, but if Travis Hunter is sitting there and he's
the best player available, how do you pass on that?
Speaker 6 (30:35):
But would he be the best player available? I think
so at three?
Speaker 1 (30:39):
Yeah, I don't know, man, because if Abdul goes one
and say a quarterback goes two to Cleveland, if they
go cam Ward, Travis Hunter is sitting their best player.
Speaker 6 (30:49):
Who's the best O lineman? Is the best O lineman
ranked higher than Travis Hunter, who's the best in this draft?
Speaker 4 (30:57):
Here's the thing. Probably not, is my guess, but.
Speaker 6 (31:00):
It would be the most all depends pick. If he's
a bad boy. I'm gonna take the fact that even
though he's not as highly rated.
Speaker 2 (31:08):
Is it Will Campbell? Is he the best one?
Speaker 4 (31:10):
Will Campbell at sack of Felis? It would be my pick.
But some people like Kelvin Banks out of Texas, he's
up there.
Speaker 6 (31:16):
Too, Josh, how impressive are they? I don't I'm not
really up on how good. Like it's a good class.
It's a good, very good class, like like like shows
like those top guys.
Speaker 2 (31:29):
Is it good?
Speaker 4 (31:34):
I mean, no one's as big as a Alts massive.
Speaker 5 (31:38):
I mean Will Campbell's sixty six over three hundred and
twenty pounds and he's three inches shorter and I don't know,
I'm guessing ten pounds later, but.
Speaker 6 (31:46):
It is his Do you feel like his game translates
like penay, Like does their game translate immediately to the
next level to be like yes, yes?
Speaker 5 (31:57):
See to me, this this class to me has it's
solid pro line tackles and interior players. It's really good
for defensive tackles. I think that's the best group in
this class.
Speaker 4 (32:09):
Cornerbacks are also really good.
Speaker 5 (32:13):
There's just there's there's a number of position groups that
I think it's it's pretty strong, and and tackle class
is one of them. But you go back to Travis
Hunter and you kind of also look at need and
if I'm the Giants and I'm weighing, okay, if you've
you've spent a first round pick on Evan Neil, probably
hasn't worked out the way you'd hoped. You spent a
(32:34):
lot of time in the offseason between you know, drafts
and and free agent signings and all that to show
up your offensive line. You feel like Andrew Thomas is
in a better spot spot of left tackle. You're probably
looking at cornerback at this point. Well, if you're looking
at cornerback, then that's a no brainer. But right I
feel like if you're if if I'm going to bring
in Matthew Stafford, I'm going to bring in a guy
(32:57):
that I'm going to continue to improve my defensive line.
And if I got a really, really good guy that
I could actually make this like a anchor player for
years to come, even beyond Matthew Stafford when we have
to move on from him to the next guy. If
I have an anchor, tackle, anchor lineman, whether it's a
center or a tackle. If I have that type of guy,
(33:18):
I'm taking him. I feel like I have to make
my offense better. My defense is pretty good. My defense
is pretty good. Like if I'm New York, I'm looking
at my defense, I'm saying, we're not in a bad
space right now. Our defenses is more than serviceable on
what they bring to the table. They're very, very daunting
defensive front. They got a pass rush, they can they
(33:41):
can play against the run. Can they improve against the pass? Sure,
they can improve against the pass. You can never have
too many cover guys in your secondary on any team.
But if I'm the New York Giants, I'm going all in.
Does not mean I go do something for the defense
side of the ball, Well, that's just me in a three.
I don't I take an offensivelignment.
Speaker 6 (34:02):
I'm going I have to improve my my offense. My
offense has been the biggest, the biggest liability so far,
that's been the liability. I gotta go offense.
Speaker 4 (34:15):
I can see that.
Speaker 5 (34:16):
I mean, at that point at three, it's it's hard
to say you could go wrong. And that's where it
just depends on how they feel about Andrew Thomas at
the left tackle spot. You know, if they feel confident
in him and then you kind of move on that way.
But I could see them doing that too. It makes sense,
like if you're gonna invest in matt Stafford, you want
to continue to keep investing in with what.
Speaker 2 (34:37):
You do in the draft. Ye don't sleep on the Giants,
right And.
Speaker 6 (34:41):
I wouldn't sleep on the fact that wherever Matthew Stafford goes,
there's gotta be a strong chance that Cooper Cup is
going to end up being there. So if you add
Cooper Cup to that New York Times in that group,
come on, man.
Speaker 5 (34:55):
That'd be that'd be that'd be putting a lot of
defenses to sleep. Which, by the way, speaking of.
Speaker 4 (34:59):
Sleep, ooh you two, you two know it needed.

Tough year for Stefan Diggs. Didn't quite finish it out
there with the Houston Texans. Might be a little harder
of an off season. Four More wild details have emerged
after Stefan diggs lawsuit against Instagram model Mulan Hernandez has
gone public. In the report, he accuses Hernandez of breaking
(37:22):
into his house, into his gaming room and refusing to
leave when asked, then going on to destroy a computer
one hundred and thirty thousand dollars watch, and then he
claims the model even through his phone into the toilet
that night, that night being June seven to twenty twenty four.
Speaker 2 (37:37):
Lee, is this your bio?
Speaker 4 (37:38):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (37:38):
I think exactly. It sounds very I feel for you, buddy.
Why are you laughing so hard? Right? A? Damn it's
not laughing. Definitely not fun.
Speaker 4 (37:46):
Eh he was someone abuse?
Speaker 2 (37:49):
Yeah? Yeah.
Speaker 8 (37:51):
In fact, he accuses Hernandez of punching out in the
chest multiple times, telling him you won't be playing this year.
Speaker 2 (37:56):
This, of course, was before the season started.
Speaker 8 (37:58):
On June seven to twenty twenty four, after he left
the premises, she decided to go to the hospital for
the night, gave different stories to different doctors, saying that
she had felt nausea and vomiting, then later telling them
that she had been punched in the back of the
head with a closed fist. He, of course, has denied
that and has counter suited for both her and her
friend for trespassing, intentional infliction of emotional distress, assisting a
(38:22):
basketball player, and a betting and conspiracy.
Speaker 4 (38:27):
That the basketball Playerah, I think so.
Speaker 2 (38:29):
Oh, what do you mean? No, I think so, But
she played basketball? Oh, I'm sorry.
Speaker 4 (38:36):
Did you read the entire rap sheet and not know
who the hell you're talking.
Speaker 2 (38:40):
About you're talking about Hernandez. No, we're talking about Stefan Diggs. Yea,
he played basketball, play for the Mystics.
Speaker 6 (38:49):
Excuse yes, yes, Lee, yes, yes, yes, yes, you're talking
to vault, talking to a vault right now.
Speaker 1 (38:57):
Mulan Hernandez, she played basketball. I know she still does.
Speaker 2 (39:02):
Okay, I'm I'm not familiar with that link.
Speaker 8 (39:04):
This one just went in the in the report just
says model TV personality.
Speaker 2 (39:08):
Mulan Hernandez TV personality. That's what it says. No, that's
not correct.
Speaker 5 (39:15):
Just so you guys know, Lee pulls all his stories
off the bro Bible. That, by the way, I didn't
know every single article is tagged to the bro Bible,
true or falsely A lot of.
Speaker 2 (39:27):
Them, are not all of them somewhere.
Speaker 1 (39:29):
I didn't even know what bro Bible was. And then
Lisa a link. I was like, this is real. I
had no idea.
Speaker 2 (39:36):
He's from basketball offense.
Speaker 6 (39:38):
Like the most BROI guy, Sony is further Mulan, Yet
we have done further research.
Speaker 2 (39:45):
This certainly has to be who it is that was
going on. Send it over to the chains we can
discuss it and then on over that's up. What we
got here. Yeah, definitely a basketball player, that's for sure.
Oh God, why am I not saying any of this?
Speaker 6 (40:06):
I lost it, hold on, I don't know.
Speaker 2 (40:11):
Man, Stefan, just to stay with it, man, it'll pay off.
