Speaker 4 (03:15):
Yeah, Cincinnati Bengals, Hey, welcome to the party.
Speaker 3 (03:19):
Welcome to the party.
Speaker 4 (03:21):
Look at that the damn Cincinnati Bengals, the ninety nine
cent store. The NFL has finally joined the party. They're
handing out contracts.
Speaker 3 (03:32):
Damn.
Speaker 4 (03:35):
According to Jordan Schultz, Yes, that Jordan Schultz.
Speaker 3 (03:41):
That never came on your show. Literally, it's like, Lee,
why did you miss the show? Last weight? By are
you okay? Are you okay? Like before we like Jordan
Schultz just really like triggered off a thought. Here are
you okay?
Speaker 2 (03:55):
Bro?
Speaker 5 (03:56):
Uh Yeah, I'm still dealing with a little bit of
some sickness. But I'm doing all right. I'm doing a
lot better than I was last week.
Speaker 3 (04:02):
All Right. I'm not going to ask what type of
sickness is it? It is?
Speaker 1 (04:05):
Is it like is it love sickness? Is it property sickness?
Is it is it like flu sickness? That's a nice
little hodgepodge of.
Speaker 3 (04:12):
All of that. It's a combination of all of them.
Speaker 5 (04:14):
Yeah, it's a little like one of those like flus
that were going around. Maybe I caught the tail end
of the season or something. Tail and yeah, because it
seems like everyone was dealing with that, like after the
Super Bowl, during the Super Bowl, right after the Super Bowl.
Speaker 3 (04:26):
Yeah, a lot of people got something.
Speaker 1 (04:28):
You got to come in here on the break. We
got to talk about this because that Jonas just jogged
my memory, all right, Jordan Schultz.
Speaker 3 (04:35):
Good, God, good. So back back to Cincy.
Speaker 4 (04:38):
So gat congratulations to the ninety nine cent store, the NFL,
the Cincinnati Bengals, who have figured out a way to
hand out some contracts. Jordan Schultz reporting last night the
Bengals have reached agreement on contracts with wide receivers Jamar
Chase and t Higgins. Jamar Chase gets four years, one
(05:01):
hundred and sixty one million dollars with one hundred and
twelve million dollars guaranteed, making him the highest paid non
quarterback in NFL history. T Higgins gets four years, one
hundred and fifteen million dollars, with the first two years guaranteed,
making him the highest paid wide receiver two in NFL history.
So congratulations the Cincinnati Bengals. They've knocked out two of
(05:22):
the three. What this means for Trey Hendrickson, who knows,
but Joe Burrow has called out the organization. He's made
it a point. Listen, Philly can figure out ways to
get all these deals done and keep their guys, you know,
like they somehow figured out a way to make all
this happen. And the Bengals keep two of their big three,
and now we wait to see whether or not they
(05:43):
can get something done with Trey Hendrickson.
Speaker 1 (05:45):
Now all they have to do is address a few needs,
you know, probably across the offensive line. But I mean,
if you look at at these two signings, it's this
very critical to the Cincinnati Bengals ability and their opportunity
to keep the window open for trying to compete for
(06:09):
a Super Bowl championship. I think these are really really
big signings, quality signings. You had to do it, at
least for Chase. Now with t Higgins, that does show growth.
Obviously that could be as you mentioned, the pressure from
Joe Burrow, But make no mistake about it, if you're
(06:29):
putting your team a real opportunity, a real position to
win games. Knowing that these are both one receivers, these
could be one receivers on any single team in the
National Football League. So I think that you got it
right here. Now what they do with Hendrickson. You gotta
(06:51):
have defense. I mean, especially in the AFC North, you
gotta have defense. And if you're not going to bring
back Trey Hendrickson, you definitely have a case to say,
we spend our money on the offensive side and we're
going to work to be serviceable on the defensive side.
But if it turns out that your defense is your
(07:12):
Achilles hill moving forward, it will come back to bite
you that you let key players, key pieces of your
defense get away like Hendrickson. So not exactly sure. And
by the way, what is it Hubbard? Is it Hubbard
or Hubert? Hubbard was the other defense end He just retired.
(07:33):
So you're you're losing basically the backbone of what I
would perceive your defensive front.
Speaker 3 (07:44):
You're you're losing that.
Speaker 1 (07:46):
And and so while signing these large contracts to the quarterback,
to now both your your big time receivers, what are
you doing to address your defense? I think that now
that turns into the biggest project for Cincinnati this offseason
is to try to figure out how to retool that
(08:09):
defense because.
Speaker 3 (08:11):
Unless I mean, listen, what what what did what did
borrow throw for over five thousand yards.
Speaker 1 (08:18):
He was he was, he was dealing out there, and
it still wasn't good enough for them to even make
the playoffs. So you're going to have to have a defense.
If you think that signing these contracts means that you're
going to score more points than your opponents while your
your defense is very, very poors in nature, I don't
(08:38):
think that that's that is certainly not the correct way
to approach going into the season, especially if you want
to take full advantage of the fact that you do
now have some some you know, at least two years
of trying to make things work with with your offense
with Burrow and these receivers.
Speaker 4 (08:58):
I mean, listen, at least they got it done. Like
we were wondering whether or not this was going to
be happening at all for the Bengals, So at least
at least they showed some promise that they're trying to
figure this whole thing out. I'm just doing some quick
math here because I wanted to make sure that I
had this correct. And before I say that, I want
to say what Jeremy Fowler ESPN reported over the weekend
(09:22):
that on the Trey Hendrickson conversation, so he wants a
new contract well above thirty million dollars per year. According
to Jeremy Fowler, the Bengals have tried to sign him,
they made him a contract offer, and I'm even told
despite trade talks, they've had some reignited discussions with Hendrickson's
people over the past few days, but it still hasn't
(09:42):
gotten anywhere. It looks like the bengals priorities are those
two wide receivers, which they got done. So he certainly
opened to a trade at this point. I'm hearing the
Bengals have not been overly eager to accept those trade calls,
and they've gotten them to look into it and really
seriously entertain a trade.
Speaker 3 (09:57):
Here.
Speaker 4 (09:57):
It seems like they still want to try and find
a way to keep Trey Hendrickson, But the question is
do they have the cash to do it. If you're
the Bengals, Here's here's here's the reality. Trey Hendrickson, just
to show you the value he has on that team.
Last year had seventeen and a half sacks, so lot,
(10:18):
all right. Everybody else on the Bengals combined had eighteen
and a half, So, like you know, I feel like
he's kind of showing you that there's a wide gap
between him and everybody else as a.
Speaker 3 (10:36):
Pass rusher on that team. And when you're one.
Speaker 4 (10:39):
Of the bottom third teams in sacks in the NFL
and that guy makes up basically half of your entire
team total, I know that the wide receivers were a priority.
Speaker 3 (10:52):
They got to figure out a way to try and
get this done.
Speaker 4 (10:54):
Like get I don't know how this get creative, Like
call Howie Roseman, Hey, how would you do it? If
you But if they decide to move on, Roman told me, well,
I'm just saying, like, if they decided to move on
from Trey Hendrickson but decide to keep the two wide receivers,
you just you open yourself up to criticism from your
fan base and people in the league. If Hendrickson goes
(11:15):
elsewhere and you're just basically gonna have to try and
win shootouts.
Speaker 1 (11:18):
You gotta win shootouts. I mean, I don't even think
Trey Hendrickson, clearly, even his seventeen sacks didn't make things better.
You know, it didn't make it worse, of course, I mean, obviously,
production is production. You can never be mad at production.
But this defense needs to be again kind of tooled
(11:43):
in a way where it can have some some real success.
How far away they are from that, I'm not certain certain.
But if if you're if you're dealing on the offensive
side the way that they just did in getting these
two receiver signed at the same time to to really
really big contract, the biggest contracts, then you got to
(12:06):
be thinking, we don't have a whole lot of time.
You don't have a whole lot of time, So you
got to continue to be aggressive. If you're just aggressive
and in getting your offense to where they need to be,
and that's what you're your focus is on, and purely
that's it, and you're just going to be.
Speaker 3 (12:28):
Looking at the.
Speaker 1 (12:29):
Defense as it's just, uh, you know, a piece of
a piece, a part of the full machine. I think
you're you you've terribly underestimated the value of what having
good defense and having elite defensive players on your team,
what that's like. So it could be a hard lesson.
(12:50):
It could it could be. I mean, whatever it is
they want to get done, they got to get it done.
So I'm interested to see how the GM and how
this scouting group what it is that they do in
order to address their biggest hole and their biggest need,
which is their defense. Their defense has to be better
against the past, it has to be better against the run,
(13:11):
it has to be better overall. And you had one shining,
one shining piece of one shining part of your defense,
and that's Hendrickson, and now he may not be coming back.
So they got a lot of work to do, even
though it's one side of the ball. But they still
have a lot of work to do. But give them
credit where credit is due. They did open up their
(13:34):
you know, loosened up the per string, so to speak,
in order to bring in or bring back two very
elite receivers in the league.
Speaker 4 (13:43):
We kind of mentioned this a little bit last week.
There's teams in the NFL that look at the Bengals
and go, I want to trade like like not actually trading, Yeah,
you want to trade spots, give me your roster, like please,
Like we would love if our problem was we've got
Joe Burrow. Now we've got to figure out a way
(14:06):
to keep three of the best players at their position
in the NFL.
Speaker 3 (14:10):
We've got Joe Burrow.
Speaker 1 (14:12):
We need to build everything else up so that we can,
Like if you look at Kansas City. They built that
defense up. The defense has been known to bail that
team out. Even if Patrick Mahomes is Patrick Mahomes.
Speaker 3 (14:27):
That has happened.
Speaker 4 (14:28):
That's the part that's frustrating about watching this whole thing
play out with Cincinnati. It's like, dude, just you have
this window here that and these windows close fast. Like
ask the Niners. Ask Niner fans how they feel about
their window right now? Like, these windows close fast. You
(14:49):
got to a Super Bowl. You got one of the
best quarterbacks in the NFL, he's on the short list.
You look at Joe Burrow, You're like, yeah, that guy's
probably gonna be a Hall of Famer. Like that's the
way his career is projecting.
Speaker 3 (15:00):
At this point.
Speaker 4 (15:01):
You've got all of this at your disposal. Whatever it takes,
get crafty, splurge a little bit, you know, set up
a sponsorship with Skyline and try and you know, uh,
I don't know what's the other on Gold Coast. That's
what they're known for. Apparently, Listen, Cincinnati's known for three things.
(15:23):
The Bengals, Skyline, Chili, and Andy Furman. And that's it.
In no particular or so whatever you need to do,
just figure out a way to keep three of the
best players at their position in the NFL, the Carson
Palmer situation, like there has been times throughout the course
of their career, Corey Dillon left on bad terms, Like
(15:45):
there's been times throughout the course of their franchise's history
where they have mismanaged because they've nickel and dimed.
Speaker 3 (15:52):
I'm sure tj.
Speaker 4 (15:53):
Huschmantad has got stories where they've nickel and dimed great
players that they've had and probably blown opportunities to compete
for Super Bowls more often. You have your chance, now,
don't f it up.
Speaker 1 (16:05):
You've never had a Joe Burrow ever in the history
of your organization, not Boomer or any other quarterback you
may want to name. Yeah, you've never had a Joe Burrow.
And I would say, if you never had that type
of talent and now you have it, you got to
do what you have to do in order to try
(16:25):
to see it through. You may never have another quarterback
come to Cincinnati of the level and the caliber of
player that Joe Burrow is.
Speaker 4 (16:34):
Now.
Speaker 1 (16:34):
While I'll sit there and say I believe Patrick Mahomes
is far and away the best quarterback in the National
Football League.
Speaker 3 (16:43):
I just had TJ. Speaking of TJ.
Speaker 1 (16:45):
I just had TJ pushback and say he would say,
Joe Burrow is in the conversation. Whether you subscribe to
it or not, it's a conversation. I think it is
Patrick Mahomes. But nonetheless, if I'm Cincinnati, I know what
I have in Joe Burrow. Nobody threw for more yards
than Joe Burrow. The dude is money when he's healthy.
(17:09):
And and Jamar Chase is as good as it gets
at the receiver's position. And t Higgins is such a
perfect compliment with his size, his ability, his skill. It
just creates a conversation of can you create enough of
a run game to keep defenses honest? And can you
(17:34):
defense these offenses? Can you defense a Josh Allen? Can
you defense of Lamar Jackson twice a year? You know,
those are the questions that you're going to have to answer,
you know, And whatever may happen in Pittsburgh, if they
get Aaron.
Speaker 3 (17:50):
Rodgers or whoever it may be.
Speaker 1 (17:52):
I mean, elite is elite, and we'll just go with
Lamar Jackson right now. But you know, you got to
still be able to deal with the way they played
football in the AFC North, and Joe Burrow has shown
that he can. But Joe Burrow has also shown that
he can be defensed, or at least this team can
(18:13):
be out offensed and games.
Speaker 3 (18:16):
Not nothing in rupt.
Speaker 4 (18:16):
But Joe Burrow did all of this this past year
coming off the injury he had last year. Remember, people
were wondering whether he'd ever be the same. Remember he
like grabbed a water bottle and people were like, God,
look at the way he gripped that.
Speaker 1 (18:29):
There's there's still was no, no, it was not that
was actually you.
Speaker 3 (18:34):
That was not me, That was you.
Speaker 4 (18:36):
People were like zooming in on the way and he
had to answer for the for that after the game,
Like they asked him about he goes, well, because I
grabbed the water bottle.
Speaker 3 (18:43):
Like, there was people that thought.
Speaker 4 (18:44):
They were listening to our show. They heard you say
I would never say that. Yeah, I would never say uh.
But there were people that were wondering, like sick war
is this is this dude gonna be the same player?
And all he did was come back and have the
best season of his career.
Speaker 1 (18:58):
So yeah, man, but not the best results and that
still has to be taken into consideration.
Speaker 3 (19:05):
Get it.
Speaker 1 (19:06):
You didn't get the best results, but you did have
the best year statistically that you've had. So you have
to figure out ways to maximize those best ever moments.
Like why waste those best ever moments? Yeah, you know,
because you'll waste them far too many times. Before you
know it, you've wasted an entire you know, three, four
(19:30):
or five years of not putting the right team together.
If this team doesn't play for a super Bowl at
some point, who's ever running this team probably should step down?
Speaker 3 (19:42):
Damn.
Speaker 1 (19:43):
I mean, if you think about it, if you think
about it, if you're the GM of this team and
the Joe Burrow experiment does not yield you at least
one super Bowl before that era ends, that GM, that
was the GM that brought Joe Burrow in and built
that team should probably have to take a step down.
Speaker 3 (20:06):
Damn.
Speaker 4 (20:07):
He's that good, like a kid, he's that good. Trying
to enjoy Saint Patty's Day. You're calling for jobs here, Well,
I'm just calling for sensibility. It's just sensible. That would
be like if Peyton Manning never got a Super Bowl.
Like if you drafted Peyton Manning and you weren't able
to get to a Super Bowl. You should probably walk
(20:29):
away as a GM if you weren't able to build
a team around Peyton Manning. He's being labeled a savant,
and I got to tell you, I think Joe Burrow
is on the same on the same level.
Speaker 3 (20:43):
He's a savant. Yeah, so damn good.
Speaker 4 (20:47):
We shall see two pros and a cup of Joe
here on Fox Sports Radios.
Speaker 1 (20:52):
By the way, yeah, I don't want to I don't
want to end on a negative, negative note. They did
something very positive, something that is very out of character
for them, So there you go, go for them.
Speaker 4 (21:03):
And congratulations of Jordan Schultz on getting the getting the
scoop there. And I'm reporting on that line and bringing
it on our show.
Speaker 1 (21:09):
To talk to us, even though have you talked back
to him, Lee, He shook his head.
Speaker 5 (21:14):
Yeah, yeah, I talked to him last Thursday when he
he wanted to reschedule for this upcoming week.
Speaker 3 (21:20):
This upcoming week. Yeah, okay, all.
Speaker 6 (21:23):
Right, because he was going to join us on Friday.
Speaker 3 (21:25):
Okay, last Friday. What happened?
Speaker 6 (21:28):
He said, something came up. He couldn't do Friday, so
he was hoping that we.
Speaker 1 (21:31):
Was both He was like me too, you know something
came up for me too. You know, some came up
for both of us, so you know, don't worry about it.
We'll figure it out.
Speaker 3 (21:38):
I love that. Do you think do you think George whatever?
Do you think he'll ever end up on the show?
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (21:46):
And then I was taking him yesterday, but it was
right as the and he was the one dropping it
as we're talking about Uh, it was right before the
Bengals stuff dropped, so I'm sure.
Speaker 6 (21:54):
He was just busy and didn't get back to me.
Speaker 1 (21:56):
I mean, you do know we are a media outlet.
It's not like you guys are like chumming it up
as like homeboys or anything like that. You know, if
he's getting breaking news and you're in contact with him,
you know you could be like, hey, you know, you
could come on two pros with a couple.
Speaker 4 (22:10):
Of shoe conversation. He'll be honest with you. I think
there's a better chance at El Choppo joins the Jordan
Schultz I don't. I mean, the pursuit of Jordan Schultz
is one of the most amazing things.
Speaker 3 (22:23):
We've ever accomplished on this show. We still haven't landed him.
Speaker 1 (22:26):
They made they made a movie about Pursuit of Happiness too,
and it starred Will Smith. But if this was the
true story of lead to lap On Pursuit of Happiness,
do you think it would have ended the same way.
Speaker 6 (22:44):
I forgot how that movie ended.
Speaker 1 (22:45):
Oh he won, Yeah, he won big, and then he
was low. He was as low as low gets. They
brought him into the firm, and then he won.
Speaker 3 (22:53):
By the way.
Speaker 4 (22:54):
That's his only good movie, Will Smith, Congratulations to him.
Speaker 3 (22:58):
It was a really good movie. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (23:00):
I met the real guy in real life, like the
guy that they made the movie about.
Speaker 3 (23:04):
Yeah, he spoke out an event that I was at.
Real cool. Dude, I'm going dude, I'm going.
Speaker 4 (23:10):
To It is Two Pros and a Cup of Joe
here on Fox Sports Red the lapsed Pursuit of Happiness.
Speaker 3 (23:16):
We'll end in pursuit of destruction. Shut up next to
that's my prediction.
Speaker 4 (23:20):
We are going to hear somebody in the NFL that
was forced to tell a lie over the weekend right
here on FSR.
Speaker 2 (23:26):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Errington, and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern three Am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio AIPP.
Speaker 1 (23:40):
I'll be fine once I get it, I'll be good.
Pursuit happiness and I know everything that's under.
Speaker 3 (23:53):
My arm and going to be gold.
Speaker 1 (23:56):
Yeah, I'll be fine. Once I shave it, I'll be good.
Get a big make ahead, make it on my arm pit.
Speaker 3 (24:12):
Harry armpit tail?
Speaker 1 (24:19):
What would you do if you dated a chick that
had hairy armpits? I mean, first of all, do you
make it to dating?
Speaker 3 (24:28):
Like? What is dating? Like?
Speaker 1 (24:30):
Is that like that's officially like you guys are seeing
each other or are you just figuring it out? Like
during that time you discover that they have something like say,
I'll tell you this.
Speaker 3 (24:41):
Hairy ass arm pits? Like, what do you do? I
would sue the dating app?
Speaker 4 (24:46):
Do nowhere in the bio or profile that it's say
she's got tarantula's under her.
Speaker 3 (24:53):
Arm all right? Which one? Which one is worse?
Speaker 1 (24:56):
No, you don't use deodorant because of you feeling as
though the you know the effects of deodorant on your
body or hairy armpits.
Speaker 3 (25:06):
And you use deodorant, Harry, you're going with Harry arm pit?
Speaker 2 (25:10):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (25:11):
Yeah, Lee, it's the optics.
Speaker 6 (25:13):
I'd probably go with the hairy.
Speaker 3 (25:15):
You just wash up a decent cold. No, I'm talking
for your your girlfriend.
Speaker 6 (25:21):
Yeah, I'm saying, yeah, they could wash up.
Speaker 4 (25:24):
A decent a decent cold, and you won't. You won't
be able to smell the the but the eyes being
able to see the two pay Yeah, I.
Speaker 3 (25:33):
Don't know that.
Speaker 1 (25:34):
Accut you ever have you ever rocked the furry arm
pit before?
Speaker 6 (25:40):
No, I've never been a fan of the hairy armpit.
Speaker 1 (25:43):
Have you ever found yourself looking like dang, like, I
really like need to get after these today because they're
grown in.
Speaker 7 (25:51):
Not a lot of hair girls in my armpits. I've
been very blessed. A lot of girls have really dark
skin and have to shave a lot and have really
thick hair there. I'm not one of those girls.
Speaker 3 (25:59):
He really thick hair there?
Speaker 1 (26:01):
Yeah, So yours comes in there like thinning out like
almost like a baldingdig there.
Speaker 7 (26:06):
Yeah, I don't like. Yeah, if I didn't shave for
two months, you'd probably barely notice.
Speaker 3 (26:11):
Barely notice. Well hey, all right, well there you go.
Speaker 7 (26:15):
But I like it smooth, so I yeah, okay, things
the things you learned?
Speaker 3 (26:20):
All right, By the way, what would you do if you.
Speaker 1 (26:22):
Were spooning and that afro of an armpit just started, like,
you know, tickling your shoulder or your arm.
Speaker 3 (26:30):
Hey, how would you handle it?
Speaker 4 (26:31):
Hey?
Speaker 3 (26:32):
I don't know you had dogs. Hey, oh you're all
on me. Hey, you're breathing it all away.
Speaker 4 (26:43):
So we are gonna have an FSR i R coming
up here at about twelve minutes from now here for
the tire rack dot Com studios. Mile Scarett, by the way,
spoke over the weekend. I believe on Friday he met
with the media following that big time contract that he signed,
and Miles Garrett just wanted to let you know, he
wanted to let you be aware and let you understand
(27:07):
that his situation in Cleveland was not about the money.
His situation had nothing to do with that. Let's take
a listen to the Brown Star pass Rusher.
Speaker 3 (27:19):
I think the fans will see that. You know, my
heart's in the right place. It's never been about money.
It's always been about winning, and that's where my frustration lies.
Speaker 4 (27:26):
Yeah, it's not about the money, it's about winning, to
which I would ask, if it's not about the money
and it's about winning, why are you still in Cleveland.
Speaker 1 (27:36):
Well, I will say this to win, I will say this.
All about the money doesn't mean that that's not like
you're winning when you get the money to go along
with trying to win games. He didn't say win games,
he said winning. So it's not all about the money.
(27:58):
It's about everything that goes with it. If I'm giving
my one hundred percent effort in the offseason, if I'm
giving one hundred percent effort during the season, if I'm
generating the production, that says that I'm doing my part.
Like it's the whole age old conversation. Would you rather
(28:19):
win a personal award or win a championship?
Speaker 3 (28:23):
Right?
Speaker 1 (28:24):
And I always say it's a tough question to answer
because if you're winning personally, like it's one me and
Marcus Washington, we had this thing, right, and what did
it the best out of anybody, it'd be like, hey, look,
rydale On Roddell, roddale On rod delf is Rightdale on Rydell.
Speaker 3 (28:41):
And we win. We gonna win this game. And he's right.
Speaker 1 (28:46):
If you're winning your individual battles and you have enough
guys on that team winning their individual battles, you have
a very very strong chance of winning that game. And
so to me, it's like when you have these types
of conversations and a Miles Garrett is in the conversation,
it doesn't like if he says something that is horribly egregiously,
(29:10):
like arrogant, wrong, detached from reality, whatever it is, that's different.
You can have a real conversation about maybe how you
feel about Miles Garrett if you're a Cleveland Brown's fan.
But if you have a problem with Miles Garrett and
think about this, I mean, he went as far as
(29:32):
like trying to decapitate Mason Rudolph and hold down the
pride of Cleveland and represent the Browns against one of
their their.
Speaker 3 (29:42):
Rivals throughout history.
Speaker 1 (29:46):
I just don't see how you could have an issue
of any kind of any.
Speaker 3 (29:52):
Sort with Miles Garrett.
Speaker 4 (29:54):
In Miles Garrett's defense, though, Mason Rudolph, you know, used
a slur.
Speaker 3 (29:58):
That knows he's slurring. He has nobody else anywhere on
the field heard right there.
Speaker 1 (30:04):
He whispered that thing all the way in his ear,
put it right in his ear like a QB should
he delivered that ball, delivered that message.
Speaker 3 (30:14):
He got it.
Speaker 4 (30:16):
Yeah, Look, I have no issue with Miles Garrett taking
the money, I have no problem whatsoever.
Speaker 3 (30:22):
No, he earned it.
Speaker 1 (30:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (30:23):
But the real problem is people like to pocket watch
and they look at it and go, oh god, he's selfish.
He's you know, he should be out there wanting to
win super Bowls, Like, what's this going to do to
his legacy?
Speaker 3 (30:36):
He does?
Speaker 4 (30:37):
News Okay, newsflash. Not everybody gets to win super.
Speaker 1 (30:40):
Bowls, and I got everybody wants to try to win one.
I would rather if you're asking me, like, hey, what's
going to be worth more thirty years from now the
super bank account?
Speaker 3 (30:51):
Yes, like the.
Speaker 4 (30:55):
Guy's made generational wealth that will last this one, the
next one, the next one after that, the next one
after that. Like, I just I have no problem with it.
I just as long as he understands because of what
happened with the Deshaun Watson move, they're there when he's.
Speaker 3 (31:12):
Far from Deshaun Watson.
Speaker 1 (31:13):
But I feel like it's safe to say, if you're
if your Miles Garrett and you say it's not about
the money, it's clearly not just about the money, because
he plays his ass off. He plays and he has
played to your point, and he has played his ass
off for Cleveland.
Speaker 3 (31:35):
Cleveland, what's wrong with that. They suck.
Speaker 1 (31:39):
They always think at least getting paid though, So it's
not always about the money. And you want to win.
You do want to win games. You want to win, right,
But compensate me for what I bring to the table.
We just had the same conversation about Hendrickson. Compensate a
(32:00):
man for what he brings to the table. And it
makes it interesting because Hendrickson had more sacks than.
Speaker 3 (32:05):
Than Garrett last season, and yet.
Speaker 1 (32:09):
We'll sit here and talk about the type of of
contract Miles Garrett has just been rewarded, uh awarded and
what he's done his efforts in Cleveland. But the other
Ohio team is like, hey, go go test the market.
Speaker 3 (32:24):
You know what I really think it is, right, mess up?
Speaker 1 (32:27):
It's Rachel Yeah, I agree, it's Rachel Man. There's Rachel
bias going on here.
Speaker 3 (32:32):
And I'm with you. No, I'm joking. Ever, don't ever
go with that. Don't ever label me a race dat
I'm really just joking.
Speaker 4 (32:41):
Can we run with that on Twitter like it's an
issue of race as to why Trey Hendrickson has not
gotten paid. I just want to make sure Ryan Clark's listening.
Oh wow, Oh you calling out names.
Speaker 1 (32:53):
Don't be talking about mahonie on on on air, man,
don't be calling out mahmie on. Everybody has their opinions
in this game is media game. You'll be calling out
Mahomie like that. Yeah, and leave Ryan alone.
Speaker 4 (33:08):

(34:13):
speak to uh to Brandon t Quinn. During the break,
he was efforting a phone call into the studio.
Speaker 3 (34:21):
Did he call the studio line? By the way, Lee,
he didn't call the hotline.
Speaker 6 (34:24):
Didn't hear the ringer? Okay, ringers up?
Speaker 4 (34:27):
So he is uh hopping on a bird right now
to uh to get back home.
Speaker 3 (34:31):
It's his son's birthday too, Happy birthday son.

Uh so uh, that will not happen today. The call
will not happen today. But we'll get all the details
coming up tomorrow, so that'll be yours.
Speaker 1 (34:42):
Yet they're trying to make this flight. That's what it
seems like. But you know what Jonas could have asked,
he didn't ask. I guess he knew more than what
we did. By the way, this morning, that Penn State
blue is like in the stripeout it is. It's just
it's hitting, it's hitting.
Speaker 3 (34:58):
Starting to land the right way.
Speaker 1 (35:00):
I mean, just for this moment. It's a good outfit.
Penn State Nitney blue should be a color of its own.
It should be labeled Nitney blue. If they have a
Crayola crayon in a box, it should be Nitney lime blue.
So you know, why don't you make that happen? I
was wearing my Linebacker you What is it called medallion?
(35:20):
What do you call those? I was wearing it all weekend?
Speaker 3 (35:23):
Well I was.
Speaker 1 (35:24):
I wear the chain a lot, but I don't always
wear you know, the dependent dependent. I guess you could
call it that too. Yeah, I was rocking that bad
boy this this weekend.
Speaker 4 (35:35):
Ye, I want to wear my linebacker you shirt this week?
Why should going to? You know I'm going to be
releasing a lagger soon. It's coming out.
Speaker 3 (35:47):
Did you try it?
Speaker 1 (35:48):
No?
Speaker 3 (35:49):
I couldn't. I wanted to.
Speaker 1 (35:50):
When I get it. When I get I'm gonna get
y'all some I'm gonna bring something in. We're gonna drink
it during the show.
Speaker 3 (35:55):
Oh sweet, Yeah, it's really good. I'd love to try it. Okay, Well,
you know we'll do it. Just for some reason I can't.
There's an exclusive list.
Speaker 1 (36:06):
And there is an exclusive list for now, but you'll
be let in pretty soon.
Speaker 6 (36:11):
Question, will it give me the ability to leap?
Speaker 1 (36:15):
It's a great question, and I would say the easy
answer to that would be probably yes, But you have
to leap responsibly.
Speaker 3 (36:27):
Love that. There you go? Yeah, what's the abb on that?
What's the percentage? Four or five? I don't know. I'd
have to go back and look.
Speaker 7 (36:34):
At that's got to be the slogan leap responsibly responsibly,
so like that.
Speaker 1 (36:39):
Yeah, nice, Yeah, it's so good, good move all right.
Speaker 4 (36:44):
By the way, coming up top next hour a little

Speaker 1 (37:35):
All right, we got it, got it lead the laps.
Speaker 3 (37:40):
Step right up, Come on, Lee, you were out sick?
What you got?
Speaker 6 (37:45):
Yeah, it was out sick. I've I've been trying to sleep.
I think that whole daylight slave saving. I always hate
it when people.
Speaker 3 (37:51):
Say that, but maybe maybe it got to me. I
don't know, you know what I did leave your home
life out of it. Oh.
Speaker 5 (38:03):
One mess up I did have is I accidentally left
my uh my, my debit card at dinner the other
night on Saturday night, and then of course I went
there the next day and it was an establishment that
was closed on Sunday.
Speaker 1 (38:14):
So, Ali, if you leave your debit card laying around,
how much danger are you in of somebody spending.
Speaker 3 (38:21):
All of it? Like? Like, is there a lot on there?
Speaker 1 (38:25):
You?
Speaker 3 (38:25):
Are you stressing or is it? Like? Ah? I mean
it was after get it.
Speaker 5 (38:29):
When I get it, it was after payday and the
bills hadn't cleared yet, So yeah, I was a little stressed.
But I keep my eye on my account, So it's
all good. I think I'm pretty sure I know exactly.
Speaker 3 (38:37):
You know, don't know where it's at.
Speaker 4 (38:39):
Most places, when you give them your card, they give
it right back to you.
Speaker 1 (38:43):
They just well, no when you're like Lee, you're probably
opening up tabs, and when you open up a tab,
they hold on to your they hold on to your
your your card.
Speaker 3 (38:58):
So what so, yeah said, what place was this?
Speaker 6 (39:03):
It was a sushi joint.
Speaker 3 (39:03):
It was just some dinner.
Speaker 5 (39:04):
And yeah, it was like that where the waiter had
brought over the check I gave him. I gave them
the check and they brought it back and I just
simply I didn't throw it back in the wallet.
Speaker 1 (39:14):
Well that's that's I was trying to save you, Lee.
But yeah, it goes back to the point that you
made Jonas.
Speaker 3 (39:22):
He's got issues issues. How many how often do you
how many times in the year.
Speaker 4 (39:28):
Do you think you forget your card at a bar
or yourself once or twice?
Speaker 6 (39:34):
It happens a year.
Speaker 3 (39:35):
Yeah, but I.
Speaker 5 (39:36):
Usually immediately remember, like I'll double back, like, oh yeah, yeah,
I forgot I left that right there.
Speaker 3 (39:42):
But hmmm, wow, man, very interesting. You gotta be careful.
Speaker 5 (39:47):
The funny thing was that I did go to a
bar afterwards, and that's when I realized I can't drink.
Speaker 3 (39:54):
Hey, do you take pa? Do you tap by chance?
And by the way, what what restaurants close on a Sunday.
Speaker 4 (40:00):
Other than Chick fil A, plenty of them.
Speaker 3 (40:04):
The day before Saint Patti's Day, we were breaking down
roofs h
