Speaker 5 (01:03):

You're never changing this never.

Speaker 6 (01:10):
I think I know what's happening here up on Games
got a record label.

Speaker 4 (01:15):
This is their first signing for the district.

Speaker 7 (01:23):
Welcome to d C's a historical song.

Speaker 4 (01:25):
For d C. Yeah, for the district. Yeah.

Speaker 7 (01:30):
So the band's name Mambo Sauce.

Speaker 4 (01:32):
Every day.

Speaker 5 (01:32):
I tell y'all, it was confusing because the first time
I thought.

Speaker 7 (01:38):
The song was Mambo Sauce.

Speaker 5 (01:39):
No. But then when they kept saying Welcome DC. I gotcha, Okay.

Speaker 4 (01:44):
Colon where Brady, Welcome to d C.

Speaker 5 (01:46):
Mambo spells like a leesol wipe mixed with a hint
of cat litter and a little bit of like a
cinnamon candlelight.

Speaker 6 (01:58):
That's mambas like feels reckless, but you can get those.
I am seeing thirteen seventy nine for.

Speaker 5 (02:07):
A large bottle of mombo, a large bottle again, a
lyesole wipe, a little bit of cat litter and a
cinnamon candle.

Speaker 6 (02:15):
There's something going on because it does last a long time.
I've had that one since. I've never smelled you ever,
Not one time have I ever.

Speaker 5 (02:22):
Seen he doesn't put on enough to actually smell like
the Colonne. It's enough to like ward off whatever else
he smells like.

Speaker 4 (02:30):
Okay, that's fair.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
I've never smelled him like stink either to that point,
but I've that's what I'm saying, Yeah, yeah, that's what
that's fair. I've just never smelled you, dude. Like when
I do think certain things like funny thing is I mean,
I have the same routine, but I kind of get
myself together for my day after this show, Like generally

(02:52):
I don't come in here prepared for my entire day.

Speaker 4 (02:56):
It's like this is its own part of its day.

Speaker 6 (02:58):
You've said a couple of times that your your armpits rank.

Speaker 4 (03:03):
I never see.

Speaker 1 (03:05):
Because I keep myself. You know, I have jackets and
hoodies on, and I don't move. You know you when
you think you got to move to make the stink.

Speaker 4 (03:13):
Come, that's true. I don't move wrong.

Speaker 5 (03:16):
Yeah, I don't think about an airplane like all of
a sudden pulls and it smells.

Speaker 6 (03:20):
You got to be a mummy. Yeah, it's why mummies
don't have bo. Yeah, it makes sense.

Speaker 1 (03:27):
Why they don't have bo up under wraps. It gets
caught up in the wraps. Hey, hey, move that things
on and watch what happened?

Speaker 5 (03:36):
Can we can we put a cap on the conversation
we had back in the last hour.

Speaker 4 (03:40):
Yeah, but we know we've got at least pay the bills.

Speaker 6 (03:42):
Here live from the tire rack dot Com studios, tire
rack dot com. We'll help you get there, an unmatched selection,
fast free shipping, free road has a protection at over
ten thousand recommended installers. Tire rackt dot com. The way
tire buying should be all right, So, uh yeah, there
was some concern because Abdull Carter, the star pass rusher

(04:03):
for Penn State, is not working out at his pro day.
And you know, we were pointing out that three different
general managers reached out to backer blitz dot com.

Speaker 4 (04:16):
They reached out the backer Blitz well, I mean he
spoke with them, you know, Michael Roch did.

Speaker 6 (04:21):
And then you know, so that that kind of led
to the discussion that we were having earlier.

Speaker 4 (04:26):
In the show, Go Thank You.

Speaker 6 (04:28):
There's a report out from a guy, Michael Roch from
backer blitz dot com who says that three gms in
the top ten have said, quote, it shows a lack
of competitiveness and they've removed him from their draft board
and it makes them wonder what was going on in
State College that would lead him or what the conversations

(04:51):
are with Drew Rosenhaus that would lead him to believe
that this was a good movie.

Speaker 5 (04:54):
I understand the report from Michael Roch. The tough thing
is is and this is maybe why the Michael Rotch
report comes out and says this with the three general managers,
because you would think that he would come out and
say something, you know, but again, Michael Roch has been
all over this. I mean, I'm not sure if you
follow this stuff, but he's been deep into it.

Speaker 4 (05:15):
I guess he reached out to because a lot of
people wonder what.

Speaker 6 (05:19):
Does this do for the other prospects like Edge Rusher's
in the draft, and I guess, you know, he reached
out Shamar Stewart's representatives and they just said, you know,
it just goes to show you some people like football
more than others.

Speaker 4 (05:32):
Yeah, whatever, And I know.

Speaker 6 (05:33):
We're up against him, and I'm just wondering, who are
the three gms who spoke with Mike Rotchett at a
backer blitz dot com that would have like like.

Speaker 4 (05:42):
Why why would they?

Speaker 1 (05:43):
I don't think that that calls his level of competitiveness
into question. I think that that is a poor that's
a poor conclusion to come to. So, Labar, what are
your thoughts on Mike rotch I don't have a problem
with what he's saying.

Speaker 4 (05:58):
He's doing his job. I mean, he's doing his job.

Speaker 1 (06:01):
I think if if that's the conclusion that, let me
ask you guys this.

Speaker 6 (06:06):
Like, so you don't have an issue with Mike, I
don't have an issue with anybody.

Speaker 4 (06:10):
I can have an opinion without having an issue.

Speaker 7 (06:13):
Let me, I said this one.

Speaker 4 (06:15):
I mean, I don't comprehend. What the hell, y'all, LeVar, do.

Speaker 7 (06:19):
You have an issue with Mike Crotch?

Speaker 5 (06:21):
No?

Speaker 4 (06:22):
Why would I have an issue with them? I don't
have an issue? What? What?

Speaker 7 (06:26):
What?

Speaker 4 (06:26):
What's my issue? You really don't have an issue with Mike?
You know what. I'm a beacher on radio and.

Speaker 3 (06:35):
You were in on that, and you were in on that, Brady,
all right, all right, all rights report?

Speaker 4 (06:44):
All right, I see what you got dot Com. When
I heard it, I was like, what the f okay?

Speaker 2 (06:54):
All right?

Speaker 4 (06:55):
I actually forgot the name that I said. I think
I said the second time talked about it.

Speaker 5 (07:02):
First off, as soon as you send Michael Rodd, I
was like, oh wow, he went there, all right?

Speaker 7 (07:09):
And I took it.

Speaker 4 (07:11):
I thought, you are thought jerk. You are the big
I'm going home. I'm going I'm leaving. I'm going home.
That might be the biggest jerk move on radio that
I've ever been a part of.

Speaker 6 (07:25):
It's just some of these reports are so ridiculous. That
is asked up that you would do that, and then
the only way I got it was when you pointed
at your crutch. That's ridiculous, Bro, that's ridiculous light the
amount of garbage it's out during this time of year, Like,
doesn't this shin a light?

Speaker 1 (07:43):
You can literally make up? It literally was a great word.
I will never literally take you too seriously ever again?

Speaker 7 (07:49):
Why would you ever? Why would she will.

Speaker 4 (07:52):
Never take y'all seriously ever again? Ever?

Speaker 1 (07:55):
That might be the most juvenile thing that has ever
been done, Like it's so dumb?

Speaker 4 (08:03):
Are you freaking kidding me?

Speaker 7 (08:05):
I know, BIRDO, somewhere out there is listening and really enjoying,
like dying.

Speaker 1 (08:10):
Somebody's dying laughing right, literally dying because they're laughing so hard.
If it wasn't me, if we did that to somebody else,
I would be cracking up. But because of that my expense,
I'm like trying to dial in and listen to every
detail because this is like somebody that's that, And I'm like,

(08:31):
why ISQ egging it on?

Speaker 4 (08:32):
Like what do you mean? I have an issues? He
looked it up on rock different platforms. I don't know these.

Speaker 5 (08:45):
There was some legitimate research done on the actual timeline
of the injuries and all that, but because I had
to have something to say in Phil, I mean, at
that point.

Speaker 1 (08:57):
This is people out there listening. You see what I
deal with, y'all. See what I deal with that, y'all
see what I deal with all right now, y'all see
what I'm dealing with. By the way, who the hell
would take him off my raft? Unbelievable if he didn't
work out, who cares? If he works out at the

(09:17):
pro day?

Speaker 2 (09:18):
Who cares?

Speaker 7 (09:19):
Real quick?

Speaker 5 (09:21):
A round of applause for Lee Mark behind the scenes
making that happen too. We had to turn around a
little bit of sound there, So round of applause for
you guys to being able to get that done in
a short and especially with var being being there and
somehow sneaking.

Speaker 7 (09:35):
Around and not make it noticeable.

Speaker 1 (09:37):
I don't move, I don't move from my seat. So
it's so and and Jonas knows that I thought we
was better than that. Jonahs, you know what you dilated me. Now.

Speaker 4 (09:50):
I was trying.

Speaker 6 (09:51):
I got it.

Speaker 4 (09:52):
I got to go to the restroom to laugh. The
whole time. I was like, this is so ridiculous, like
it's it's preposterous.

Speaker 1 (10:00):
Of course i'd have an issue with your croutch, bro
It's not a place I want to be.

Speaker 7 (10:04):
That's why I asked you about mine, Yeah, I Crouch either.

Speaker 1 (10:10):
End up pregnant, like I don't want I don't I
don't want to deal with your Crouch either.

Speaker 6 (10:14):
All right, now that this is ridiculous, now that we've
exposed the the twelve year old uh lie that we
just told the juvenile lie that.

Speaker 7 (10:23):
Is so basic.

Speaker 4 (10:25):
I mean, it's really good. Is this a great execution?
Is this great execution?

Speaker 6 (10:29):
Is it really that big of a deal that he's
not working out of his pro day? Andrew Rose says
he's going to work out for teams for him.

Speaker 5 (10:35):
In my opinion, though, like again, if he and especially
considering the injuries, the shoulder one can would be a
tricky one.

Speaker 7 (10:41):
It's one that.

Speaker 5 (10:43):
Look, you know, people can disagree with his agent's advice
to him, although at the end of the day, he
selected his agent to give him what is probably the
best advice. And I guess I just I'd say this,
if you're going to air on the side of anything
with a guy who's feuwed as the number one overall
prospecting draft, why would you want to stress a stress
fracture more before it's healed. If it foots an issue,

(11:05):
why would you want to put his shoulder in any
bit of harm's way at this point, like you've seen
what he can do in the football field. You can
interview him, you can test him whatever you want, Like,
that's what's going to be most important, and that he's
ready week one for whatever team takes them. So I
understand that I'm making an exception for this particular prospect,

(11:29):
but that's because he is an exception, you know, if
this is Travis Hunter at Dual Carter. Yeah, you make
exceptions because they're that talented of players. We heard alber
Breer talk about it yesterday. I'll echo that sentiment from
watching Travis Hunter, from watching U Dual Carter. That's how
I feel about them, Like, yeah, they don't have to
do anything. You wrap them up in bubble wrap. You
get them the draft, let a team take them, and

(11:50):
then make sure they can just be ready to play
week one. That's the most important thing. And if you're
dealing with nagging injuries, man, this is a long rookie season.
A lot of people don't understand these young men get
done at least especially in the case of Abdul Carter
playing for the semi finals.

Speaker 7 (12:06):
All right into what is that January?

Speaker 5 (12:10):
They turn around and have to basically start getting ready,
preparing themselves for the combine, for a pro day, for
private workouts. It doesn't stop. They get drafted, they go
right with the team, they start working out, they go
through OTA's, they go through mini camp, they have a
bit of a break in the summertime back in the
training camp.

Speaker 7 (12:26):
Like, it does not stop. This is the longest season of.

Speaker 5 (12:29):
Their life, and for him in particular, you don't want
to focus on all the stuff that doesn't matter that
that's not the most meaningful part. And that's week one
during the season. So again, there's exceptions to the rule.
This is that case for Abdul Carter.

Speaker 1 (12:44):
In my opinion, I wonder if any more reports will
come out of the pro day today of participants and
non participants from Michael or someone. On a serious note, Okay,
on a more serious note, I just wonder will there
be now. I don't even like I've seen it. I've
seen the headline pop up that he's not working out

(13:06):
on television, because I'm not going to base it off
of listening to y'all, but I did see that the
headline popped up that Abdul would not be working out.
I'm just curious will there be as much attention placed
on if other people don't participate.

Speaker 4 (13:22):
That's what I would be curious to see.

Speaker 8 (13:24):
And what is that?

Speaker 1 (13:26):
What's the narrative that comes comes from it? Because now
I'm kind of second guessing even saying that it was
the agent that may have done it. You know, I
don't know what the reason reasoning is or what the
plan of it is, but it would appear that, you know,
the two that the people are all going to be

(13:49):
there to see first and second aren't participating. So that
should be interesting. And I don't know, man, you know,
I will see what happens. Like's let's see what the
reports say.

Speaker 4 (14:03):
So when they talk about less, you want to break it?
You want to break that? Now, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (14:07):
I don't do breaking news. Yeah, I don't want to
do that. You can if you want, I really could,
but I don't. Why not I just said it without
saying it. Yeah, but you want to make it. I
don't take violating. I don't like violating. You know how
I get information?

Speaker 6 (14:21):
Yeah, but you're not airing, you're not giving the sources
name out, You're just Yeah, but you know, I'm just
real particular about stuff like that every once in a while.
I just gave y'all what I gave y'all, What if
do with it what you will? What if there was
the breaking news sounder attached to it, our go ahead
turningal go ahead? Do you have the breaking news sounder
and you have the sounder.

Speaker 2 (14:42):
Back breaking news from Fox Sports?

Speaker 1 (14:48):
Well, apparently Tyler Warren will not be participating in the
pro day at Penn State today as well, So.

Speaker 5 (14:55):
There you have it breaking there, which taking news Again,
if you're looking at overall prospect, he's right up there
with the other two names we mentioned.

Speaker 7 (15:03):
The difference being.

Speaker 4 (15:05):
It's just a position that I think in most cases you're.

Speaker 7 (15:07):
Saying, all right, like how high do we value that?

Speaker 6 (15:12):
Now?

Speaker 5 (15:12):
I would I would say he's a, without a doubt,
a first round pick because the team's going to find
a way of utilizing him a variety of ways, but
again not surprising, like I think there's gonna be a
team that targets him, that has a need for a
mismatch like that in pass coverage and a guy that
can do a bunch of different things for you. It
just depends on, like when you start building your roster,

(15:33):
how much you prioritize that over that edge, over that
lockdown corner, over that you know, cornerstone or blindside, left
tackle or tackle in general nowadays, and obviously before all
that as a quarterback, So like those four possession positions
come before that, and I would throw a wide receiver
in there. The problem is this year's not viewed as

(15:55):
quite as good of a class and wide receiver, at
least at the top end. So that's where you start
looking at saying, well, if we can find a guy
like Tyler Warren who can come in and give us
a mismatch and be that Rob Gronkowski for us, Travis
Kelce for us, whoever you want to point to, that
would be where we want to spend that pick. So
it's you can understand why it's not doing that. It
could even be injury Linden for all I know, not

(16:17):
that that's being reported here again by Michael Ross or
anyone else for that matter.

Speaker 6 (16:23):
There's some people who think that Tyler Warren could go
as high as seven to the Jets.

Speaker 4 (16:28):
I wouldn't be surprised.

Speaker 1 (16:30):
I mean I would go on the limb and say
he is the most versatile football player in this year's draft.
And that includes Travis Hunter. There you go, I'll say it.
I believe he is the most versatile football player in
terms of what you can do with him in this

(16:54):
entire draft.

Speaker 4 (16:54):
Is he a better prospect than Rock Bauers, Yes.

Speaker 6 (17:00):
He is.

Speaker 4 (17:02):
In my estimation, Yes he is.

Speaker 7 (17:04):
I'll put it this way. He's he's a better.

Speaker 5 (17:08):
He's a better blocker than Bowers was coming out, and
I'd probably still make that case that he's going to
be in his rookie year.

Speaker 7 (17:16):
I don't know that he was.

Speaker 5 (17:17):
As It's tough because I think as far as their
dynamic ability to catch in the football, it's it's a wash.
They're pretty even, pretty even, And I think, again, I
don't know that this was a well maybe it was
just any Kotnicki in their offense. But to Levar's point,
he was used more like he plays off the ball more,
he does more things running the football more.

Speaker 7 (17:39):
That wasn't really Bauer's role.

Speaker 5 (17:40):
So again, the one thing that always concerns me when
you have a guy like this who's special and could
be a mismatches if he goes to a place that
doesn't know how to use him.

Speaker 1 (17:50):
I mean, that is always going to be the life
long concern for all of us that ever, right.

Speaker 5 (17:57):
But but but even then, even more so for a
guy who's like special like that is you get sometimes
these play callers who they have a system and they're
like trying to figure out how to fit him within
their system instead of building plays that playto his strengths
at around him. So think about think about and Kotoiniki

(18:18):
this year. He put him back there at the wildcat
quarterback did he put them He put him out there
as a wide receiver, he had your traditional tight end,
he could plays like a full back.

Speaker 7 (18:27):
He put him in a variety of positions.

Speaker 4 (18:29):
He's a very good play caller everywhere possible, exactly.

Speaker 5 (18:32):
And that's and that's that's what I'm saying is you'll
get some guys in the NFL who they won more
of I don't want to say cookie cutter, but they
have the framework of an offense more cookie cutter, and
they don't get outside of that. And that's that's my concern.
Is you got a guy who's in that world and
he doesn't know how to weave a guy in who's
got this special talent ability to do a bunch of
different things.

Speaker 1 (18:53):
There have clearly been pro teams that have separated and
created a gap in a distance, and how they use
their tight ends, like you know those organizations, some of
them just pop right out, you know, right up at you.
You know, you look at Baltimore, they use their tight
end a ton. The Steelers they use their tight ends

(19:14):
a ton. The the Eagles, they they use their tight
ends a ton. I mean that those are like the
first ones that kind of jump off, you know, the
screen at me. I mean, then you think about the Niners,
you obviously you think about Kansas City, like there are
teams that you and and to be honest with you,

(19:35):
when I look at how Tyler Warren is as a player,
I think he's the next iteration of of a Kelsey,
of of the the why am I blanking on his name?
And uh in san fran Kittle kittle there he's the
next iteration because he's he's he's big. He he is

(19:57):
a blocker, and I mean a real blocker, not just blocker's.
He really can block really well. But his ability to
run routes, his ability to find the open spaces and
in defenses, his catch radius, all those things. He's pretty phenomenal.
He was fun to watch in person at the end. Dude,

(20:18):
he's a pretty phenomenal dude. Man. That's that's what I'll say.
And I'm not I'm not jockeying because he's a penn Stater.

Speaker 5 (20:25):
I mean I.

Speaker 1 (20:27):
Like him because he's a Penn Stater. But Tyler Warren
is the real deal. Like I would say it, like, hey,
maybe he's okay, but I think you.

Speaker 5 (20:35):
Know what's interesting about this though, he didn't run the
forty at that combine, right, and so if he doesn't
run the pro day, there's that question in your mind like, okay,
well how fast is he? And and maybe some people say,
well that really doesn't matter, right, Like Travis Kelce has
played forever, first Baut Hall of Famer, still extremely effective.
George Kittle, for that matter too, is still extremely effective

(20:56):
and obviously not running a four four four five forty
at this point. But I do wonder if that because
the tape is so good, I mean, it's so good
on Tyler Warren that you're like, well, I don't want
to do anything that takes away from that. And if
I run a forty, and you know, we all saw
like Xavier orstrepro is in this category, he was a

(21:17):
very productive wide receiver at Miami. Sure handed, runs great routes,
gives great effort, yards after the catch, yards after contact,
like everything you're looking for from a football player in
restrep ro. The problem is he ran a four eight
to forty in some cases four to seven on some
watches at the Pro Day. So what do you think
the narrative is now? Oh, he went from like maybe
a mid round pick to now being a late round

(21:38):
pick because people need to be able to separate and
see that sort of speed even though he plays faster
than what he timed. I do wonder if there's a
concern if he is running or if he's being clocked
and running, if they're like, there's no reason to do
this because if he does run a four to eight
or a four high four to seven, it's maybe a
ding on him in some ways, even though that's still

(21:59):
pretty darn fact asked for a guy of his size
and athletic ability.

Speaker 1 (22:03):
Do they have to release the times when you go
do a personal a personal workout, do they have to
release the information?

Speaker 5 (22:13):
No?

Speaker 6 (22:14):
And also on top of that, my experience is no,
they don't. But like my experience, is there anybody from
the mill no, they're not allowed.

Speaker 5 (22:21):
No, no, but but my experience was also never having
to do anything other than just throwing and kind of
working out when and then by the way, it used
to be where they had to come to your school
to do it or or a separate site, not at
their facility.

Speaker 7 (22:37):
So like when you do a visit to a team,
you'll meet with.

Speaker 5 (22:40):
The medical staff, the coaching staff on office, but you
don't do anything physical when they come to you. It
has to be you know that that's where the workout
has to take place or somewhere else. So you know,
I had I'd run the forty at my pro day,
So maybe that was the reason why they had a
time They were fine, like they don't need to do
that again, right in this case, maybe they would, you know,

(23:02):
come back out to work him out and say, hey,
we want to see you run a forty and he
can decline or he can choose to do it at
that point, right.

Speaker 4 (23:09):
Yeah, I think that's what it's probably going to turn
out to be.

Speaker 6 (23:12):
By the way, Adam Schefter did send this out a
little bit ago that Abdul Carter did have dinner last
night in State College with a large contingent of Brown's officials,
including owners Jimmy Haslam, J W. Johnson, and GM Andrew Berry.
Earlier this month, he visited the Browns facility and met
with multi will be on how.

Speaker 4 (23:31):
About that bookend?

Speaker 5 (23:33):
Bro?

Speaker 1 (23:35):
Hey, you know, I mean, all they got to do
is figure it out on offense. If they get Abdual
Carter with Miles Garrett, that that is wow. Yeah, wow,
that that could be really and just talk about like
the mentorship aspect of it, like the the teaching aspect
of it. I think that would be phenomenal for Abdual

(23:56):
Carter and be phenomenal for the Browns.

Speaker 6 (23:58):
Brady's still probably still got to play out there, so
he could him up with that.

Speaker 5 (24:03):
I don't but would love to see that combination. Would
love to see those two. In Jim Schwartz's defense, I
mean that is I'm telling you man, it's a stacked roster.
I know everyone's gonna make fun of me for picking
them last year to win it, or yeah I think
I picked them to win it, didn't I yeah, But
a lot of it has to do with like how

(24:23):
good that team looks on paper and what that team's
capable of. Now, a lot needs to be decided now
this year, especially at the quarterback spot.

Speaker 7 (24:31):
But I mean, find me a better overall roster. When
you're looking at the.

Speaker 5 (24:35):
Talent that they've got there in Cleveland, it's just it
takes a quarterback to bring it together. And unfortunately Watson
hasn't really worked out. People would say it's injuries, but
even the play that's that's been out there hasn't been great,
at least compared to what he did in Houston in
some of his high mark years. So that's that's the
biggest thing that they have to respond to and figure

(24:55):
out at this point. I'd love to see them trade
for cousins. I know it would be it's probably not possible,
but I think he would bring a level of like
veteran leadership and within that structure and offense, with that
O line, that running game, their weapons, that defense that
put them directly in the hunt again.

Speaker 6 (25:11):
I think in the AFC North by the way, Tractor
Supply knows that a winning season takes practice, teamwork, and
a can do attitude. Thankfully, when you have a neighbor
like Tractor Supply team, where comes easy. Whether you're caring
for pets, chickens or a few acres. Our team members

Speaker 1 (25:44):
If you do not hear from Jonas Knox after this segment,
it is because I choked him out and possibly choked
Lee out.

Speaker 4 (25:51):
Mark. I'm gonna let you Slad, I'm gonna let you live.

Speaker 1 (25:54):
But if y'all do not hear him when we come
back from break, it is because I choked him out.

Speaker 7 (26:00):
Just so, Michael Roch, those are twenty minutes ago.

Speaker 1 (26:04):
So you're so far away I can't get a hold
of your big ass, but you could get it too.
I'm just telling you that that oh y'all, oh y'all,
big time on that one now coming up next here, though,
my goro, you will hear.

Speaker 6 (26:19):
You will hear from somebody who apparently is a little
bit more open to multiple spots in the NFL.

Speaker 4 (26:26):
That's right here on FSR.

Speaker 2 (26:28):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Errington, and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern, three am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 6 (26:43):
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe, Fox Sports Radio,
LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you here. So
we are going to do a handout on an award
coming up here in a little over twelve minutes from
now here from the tire Raq dot Com studios.

Speaker 4 (26:57):
It is a weekly tradition here on the show.

Speaker 6 (27:00):
But Dion Sanders was talking with Skip Bayless on the
Skip Bayless Show about Chador and the thoughts on where
they could end up or where he wants to end
up when it comes to the NFL Draft.

Speaker 4 (27:13):
Let's take a listen, Shador.

Speaker 8 (27:15):
It's told me, he's talked to me intently about all
the business he's had with all the teams.

Speaker 7 (27:19):
So I know where his heart is. I know where
he wants to go.

Speaker 8 (27:22):
If it's New York, is New York, if it's Tennessee,
if it's Cleveland, if it's still the Raiders, if it's
New Orders, if it's any of those teams that are
seeking a quarterback, I'm happy with it, man, because I
know what he's going to do to the organization.

Speaker 7 (27:35):
I know what he's going to do, all right.

Speaker 6 (27:37):
So with that being said, the Cleveland Browns appear to
be going Abdul Carter. The Giants appear to be going
Travis Hunter. So if you had to guess right now,
or had to maybe place a wager where you're taking
Shador Sanders, you think the Raiders Raiders six. It's kind

(27:57):
of surprising that Breer said, you know, they're just going
to go best player available, that he doesn't think that
they're going to go a quarterback at that spot. But
I just don't see how he gets out of the
top ten. I don't see it based on who's there.

Speaker 1 (28:11):
I say to Raiders, Geno's the gap, the bridging of
the gap. That's where Shador has always hinted that he
wants to go and is going to be. There's a
relationship personal relationship between Tom Brady and Shador. Dion and
Tom are very very close as well. I just think
it makes a lot of sense because you know, if

(28:33):
there are any doubts, I would say the personal relationship
here in this situation would put to bid a lot
of maybe the concerns that would be able to circulate
throughout the building with the scouts or whoever else it
may be that are decision makers that would be put
to bid by the endorsement from from Tom Brady.

Speaker 7 (28:54):
That's what I was saying.

Speaker 5 (28:55):
It makes a lot of sense for the reasons. And
even the contract that Genus Best sign, it's really a
one year deal. I know it's stated as a three year,
sety five million dollar deal, but you know he's got
twenty seven point three guaranteed to signing and that's essentially
you know what he's going to make this year, and
he's got about a total of forty in the contract.
But it's a one year and kind of we'll see.

(29:17):
So I could very much see that being the case.
They've got Geno, they draft a young quarterback, Shador Sanders, whoever,
so it could make some sense too from the relationship standpoint.
You'd have to go back and look at Spytex time
in Tampa and really tracked what they've done, because obviously
the last two quarterbacks of the veterans, even though they

(29:40):
attacked it with Tom Brady and Kyle Trask. Why when
they brought in Tom Brady it ended up being Baker Mayfield.
After that, you know, they kind of wanted to avoid
dipping back into the rookie pool of quarterbacks. So take
that for what you will. It does feel like it's
gonna be hard for Shador to slip outside the top ten.
As I've said, like, I'm a lot higher than on

(30:01):
a lot of other people on Shador than I think
others are. I have him and Cam like neck and neck,
and for the reasons being, I just think he's a
very accurate passer, in particular downfield and the way he
can layer throws like those are all things that are special.
So we'll see what team wants to pull the trigger
on him. But I'm like everyone else, it's hard to

(30:25):
think that with so many teams that need a quarterback,
we won a quarterback on a rookie deal, someone's going
to pass up on him.

Speaker 7 (30:32):
It just it doesn't make a lot of sense.

Speaker 1 (30:34):
It's a curious position to be in, though, because if
he doesn't get taken by the Giants, then now you're
talking the next team is the Raiders unless there's like
a trade that takes place. You got the Raiders and
the Jets at six and seven. If he doesn't go
six or seven, and then you got the Saints at nine.
I think nine is the last opportunity he has before

(30:58):
it could be a real slip, like a slip and
a fall.

Speaker 6 (31:03):
What do you think about this scenario? All right, so,
courtesy of our friends on DraftKings, Tyler Warren to be
drafted by the Jets is a plus one eighty Jets
are sitting at seven. What if the Jets see Chador
sitting there at five, know that the Raiders taking him
as a potential, and they leap frog the Raiders with

(31:26):
Jacksonville at five and then take Shador there and then.

Speaker 7 (31:30):
The Raiders in a row.

Speaker 6 (31:31):
Yeah, yeah, the Raiders are going to get jumped two
years in a row because the Jets get aggressive.

Speaker 1 (31:38):
Then that would mean maybe the Raiders need to take
a little bit of advice or wisdom from what happened
to them and maybe make sure they're going to get
the jump on the pick if Shador is that important
to them, you know, because if you're going to take
that risk and say, okay, what teams do need. I mean,

(31:59):
the Giants could very well do it, so you could gauge,
you could possibly gauge what the Giants are going to
do and kind of build out what you're going to
do moving from there if the Giants don't want to trade,
because again I do think that that's what took place
between the Giants and the Titans. The Giants, I believe,

(32:20):
tried to move the number one in the Titans didn't
want to have any parts of it. Well, there's multiple
teams that have probably tried to do that, sure, I mean,
when you have the number one, number one pick, I'm
sure Cleveland talked to them about it. I'm sure a
lot of teams and striking distance talking to them about that.
I mean, Breer mentioned as much yesterday. Anyone who's the
need of a quarterback or probably that's striking existence.

Speaker 5 (32:41):
By the way, did you guys see the report yesterday
about who was trying to the reason why the Minnesota
Vikings traded up to take JJ McCarthy. It wasn't because
they were trying to get in front of the Raiders.
There's another team who was trying to trade up and
take them. It was the La Rams Oh wow, Yeah,
I think it was Joe Douglas who admitted that it

(33:01):
was Sean McVay and the Rams who were trying to
trade up to take J. J.

Speaker 7 (33:06):
McCarthy.

Speaker 5 (33:08):
You know, Kevin O'Connor got wind of that and they
were able to make the trade that ultimately made it happen.
But that's who Sean McVay was looking for. He was
looking for his quarterback in the future, and they would
have made a lot of sense to considering the situation
Matt Stafford and now even looking in retrospect with the
contractual situation, everything that happened this offseason, you'd have to

(33:30):
imagine that Stafford probably got wind of of maybe some
of that leading up into last year.

Speaker 6 (33:37):
By the way, how would he get wind of that?
Like who like who beans from Michael Roch You usually
usually this is how this happens. You become friendly with
a lot of people within the organization. And there's some
people too who are like not fans of maybe what

(33:59):
the ultimate disc decision makers are doing, whether that's in
this case Less Need or Sean McVay, and they're willing
to divulge, you know, in certain information. And also there
might have been a conversation where they had like, hey, Matt,
you're getting up there in age. We want to prepare
for life after you. If the right guy's there, we
might take a quarterback. Like there's teams that will prepare

(34:20):
you for that as well.

Speaker 5 (34:22):
That's where I think it's interesting that if that played
a factor into some of the frustrations or the issues
that Matt Stafford felt this offseason with the Rams, maybe
knowing that some of that stuff was out there. And also,
by the way, there's media personalities who some of these
players are friendly with, and they might you know, have
a source and they might have someone inside of the soda.

(34:42):
It's like, hey man, just so you know, this will
eventually come out. They tried to trade up to take
JJ McCarthy last year.

Speaker 4 (34:49):
Yeah, I don't think that stuff.

Speaker 1 (34:51):
I think it definitely is distributed through personal lanes. I
mean that's you get that, you get personal lanes distribution
all the time. I wouldn't see that being anything that's
kind of out of the normal. But again, I'm gonna.

Speaker 7 (35:06):
Say this, it could go one way.

Speaker 1 (35:10):
It could be boom or bust for Shador Sanders, That's
what I'm gonna say. It could be boom or bust,
because if the Raiders don't take them, the Raiders don't
take them, it could become a real slick slide for
Shador Sanders in the draft. It's it's possible, that's all.

(35:31):
That's all out. I mean, when you look at it
and what these teams you know, with the draft board
and who may be there, what they're what their needs are,
that could be a slide. If if I'm saying, if
the Raiders don't make that move, that that could be bad.
That could be bad.

Speaker 6 (35:50):
Yeah, because if there's a personal connection there and even
they pass on them, you know, then then what does
that do?

Speaker 7 (35:55):
New Orleans is sitting there, New.

Speaker 4 (35:57):
Orleans is sitting there, and it could be New Orleans.
But if it's not New Orleans, that's a slide.

Speaker 5 (36:04):
There's already been a you know, previous relationship that you know,
if Tom Brady's involved, he's passed up on. Just saying,
I mean there was a head coach opening and they
didn't hire Bill Belichick.

Speaker 4 (36:18):
Oh so I'm just saying, if he doesn't go six
or nine, right, it's six or nine, where does he?

Speaker 6 (36:29):
Like?

Speaker 7 (36:29):
Where does he go?

Speaker 4 (36:31):
Who takes them? Who takes them? You don't get to
a team that needs a quarterback until twenty one. Pittsburgh.
That's it, Pittsburgh.

Speaker 1 (36:46):
Unless you think the Buccaneers might take him at nineteen,
I think the only real one that makes sense within
outside of the Saints and the Raiders. I mean, you
could really sit there, and I mean maybe the Jets.
You know, maybe the Jets pull a shocker and say,
hey we signed Justin Fields. But maybe Justin Fields has

(37:09):
only looked at as a bridge quarterback at this point.

Speaker 4 (37:11):
Maybe the Jets take them.

Speaker 6 (37:13):
I'm just throwing this out there. You know, the Cowboys
are sitting at twelve. They're not going to do it. Okay,
why would they do that? Because we need interesting stuff
to talk about. So I'm hoping it happens. So I'm
gonna throw it out there.

Speaker 4 (37:26):
To the universe. Yeah I don't see that. Okay. It
is two pros and a cup of Joe here on

one of the crazier finishes.

Speaker 4 (39:14):
You'll ever see.

Speaker 6 (39:16):
Where the Lakers were up by I think five, gave
up two threes, then took the lead, and then Josh
Giddy got the ball back and hit that shot from
half court.

Speaker 5 (39:25):
Was that Lebron imbounding it on the second three where
he turned it over.

Speaker 4 (39:29):
I think so.

Speaker 5 (39:30):
I think so, because yeah, he was. There was so
much commotion, but I'm pretty sure that was Lebron.

Speaker 4 (39:35):
Yeah, it was. That was a wild, wild finish Lebron.

Speaker 5 (39:38):
It was inbounding the ball after the first three. I
think Lebron was inbounding when he turned it over. Yeah,
I don't know, I remember, well, I know he fouled
that dude on that shot.

Speaker 1 (39:49):
They could have called a foul and he could have
shot three point, could have been an am one, which
would have been counter funny.

Speaker 6 (39:54):
