have a particular alarm that you use when you wake
up in this time slot?
Speaker 3 (01:46):
Like?
Speaker 4 (01:46):
Do you have a is there one thing?
Speaker 2 (01:48):
Like?
Speaker 4 (01:48):
Does your? Because my wife gets pissed off at the
alarm that I use because it goes off at one
in the morning and she gets pissed and I'm like, dude,
what do you want me to do?
Speaker 3 (01:55):
Like sleeping?
Speaker 1 (01:56):
I don't think I would be I think it would
be a safe conclusion to think that any alarm that
you would use at one am to wake up, especially
when you have a child as young as you guys do,
would be annoying.
Speaker 3 (02:13):
That's just my assessment, my assumption of it.
Speaker 4 (02:16):
This one's pretty rough.
Speaker 3 (02:18):
Which one is yours? Good? Let's hear let's hear it.
Speaker 4 (02:20):
Let me to set it up here, all right? Just
imagine imagine you're dead asleep. Let me vamp a little
bit here for you. Okay, So just imagine you are
dead asleep. Yeah, it's one o'clock in the morning. Yeah,
and you're sleeping peacefully, not a care in the world.
Speaker 3 (02:41):
Yep. Having a nice dream, yeah, real good dream. Yeah,
great dream.
Speaker 4 (02:47):
You're just kinda so comfortable getting some of that rem
sleep as they call it, you know, out cold, just
enjoying nice midweek slumber. Yeah, just just minding your business,
feeling good.
Speaker 3 (03:03):
Yeah, everything is good in the world.
Speaker 1 (03:06):
I mean, if I could get this amount of sleep
that you've given us, I'm rested for it to show.
Speaker 4 (03:11):
I mean, you just you're just enjoying what you've been provided.
When it comes to this quality sleep that you are getting.
Speaker 3 (03:18):
Here's mine.
Speaker 5 (03:20):
Oh gosh, every every morning during the week at one am,
that's what she wakes up to.
Speaker 4 (03:34):
And I'm liked, why you get so upset about it?
And then I listened to it and go, oh god,
that's obnoxious. But that's the only thing that works, so
I don't have to tell you. Yeah, and I've got
I said, five different alarms, so I get that one,
there's a quieter one, and then every five minutes that
just fire off, and uh, you know, you get so
tired of hearing them. You just wake up that just
(04:01):
sounds sounds like video games. Yeah, like you're in an arcade.
Speaker 3 (04:07):
Well that's the one I use.
Speaker 1 (04:08):
Yeah, and it's not uh, I mean it's not that
it's it's not well received. I just think I get
irritated back. I mean as soon as I hear it.
It's like I want if if my alarm was a person,
I would be effing him up or her up every
single night.
Speaker 3 (04:29):
He's gonna be beef Lee.
Speaker 4 (04:30):
What's your alarm last call? Exactly? Yeah, man, there's all
the like you don't realize it and you know when
you're working later shifts that. Yeah, there's a big difference
when that thing hits at six am as opposed to
that when that hit thing hits at one am for
the other people in the house.
Speaker 1 (04:51):
BEA's my alarm up because I generally don't like the
emotions and the feelings I have when I.
Speaker 3 (04:57):
Hear it, So I generally be my alarm up.
Speaker 1 (05:01):
And when we're throwing dpor or Collins show I one
hundred percent, I'm up at least two three hours before
that that wake up time.
Speaker 3 (05:11):
Yeah, you know, and that's just you know, it's a
little bit later.
Speaker 1 (05:15):
But yeah, alarms are an interesting thing because it actually
like it's crazy that I don't know how you sleep.
I can sleep soundly, but the way I grew up,
I also can hear any and everything. I literally can
hear a caterpillar crawling on the outside of the wall
(05:38):
light if it's but I'm not. It's weird, Like I
can get really really good sleep, but I just I
can hear everything. I can hear everything, any the smallest thing,
if it's near, if it's near where I'm at, I
can hear it, and I wake up like, dang, what
(05:59):
was that? Like the one night on God, it was
the craziest thing. I was like, what the frick is that?
And I like to leave my TV on because I
can adjust to the TV sounds and fall asleep to
it and it drowns out the other noise that would
wake me up. In this particular night, I think I
(06:20):
turned the TV off and I hear this squeaking and
hollering and this that and the other, and I pop up,
like what is going on? I go turn the lights on,
and it was two raccoons and the one raccoon was
just going after it. And I mean when I say
going after it, like he was getting after it. The
(06:42):
other one that was getting it getting after it with
ends up jumping into the pool. They're having like an
all out pool party. Like they was having the type
of session you think people would be having.
Speaker 3 (06:54):
And it was raccoons.
Speaker 4 (06:55):
Oh they're making love?
Speaker 3 (06:56):
Oh were that?
Speaker 1 (06:57):
I don't know if it was love, it was it
was a eight night hook up, I'll tell you that.
Speaker 4 (07:01):
An hour later, you peek outside ones having a cigarette,
like you know what I mean. The one it jumped
into the water with a beach guys backstroking.
Speaker 1 (07:11):
I grabbed my burner. I was like, hey, hey, they
looked at me. The one was out of there. You
can tell which one was the guy and which one
was the girl. The girl slowly came up out of
the water and was like walking around the pool, like
on the edges of it, and then it eventually went
over the gates.
Speaker 4 (07:30):
The dude was out of there like, oh, I'm caught.
I'm out of here, like an unshaved Michael Phelps. Now
we know what it would have looked like. You know,
if he would have h just left everything there.
Speaker 3 (07:41):
Hey, you know what, So you're saying they could have
been to never mind, never mind, I don't know with Mike.
I'm cool with Mike. That story. Yeah, I ain't in that.
I ain't even gonna go there. What are we talking about, man,
we are We're talking about that hour two of Two
(08:02):
Pros and a Cup of Joe, or otherwise known as
Black and Drafts.
Speaker 4 (08:06):
Oh my god. Yeah, that's.
Speaker 3 (08:09):
People know that story. Let's get out there.
Speaker 4 (08:11):
It's a doozy, all right. So that being said, we
did have an interesting conversation yesterday while filling in on
the Herd a Sante Samuel Senior who just laid waste
to the Miami Dolphins I mean, unloaded on the Miami
Dolphins in a way that you felt like, well, you know,
(08:34):
if your son's in the market for wanting to join
another team, you know, maybe uh you know, and maybe
the Dolphins would be interested. Maybe that wouldn't be the
best move as a dad. Maybe if your son's looking
for employment with another NFL team and one team's having
a conversation with him, maybe you don't go out there
and air out the entire organization like a Santa Samuel
(08:55):
Senior did. So we do have the So let's take
a listen. For those of you that are not familiar
Sante Samuel Senior shared his thoughts.
Speaker 3 (09:07):
On the One and Only Miami Dolphins.
Speaker 6 (09:09):
Dolphins had no reason to trade Jaalen Ramsey other than
that's sensitive. There's no leadership in the Dolphins organization. Mike
McDaniels is a pushover Chris Threa, the general manager. He
has no backbone. These guys over here to Miami Dolphins.
They are running his team like a little league team.
(09:30):
No one can stand up to the players. They're terrified
of their own players, and they have no control over
their players.
Speaker 4 (09:38):
So that was the Sante Samuel Senior on the Say
What Needs to Be Said podcast talking about the Miami Dolphins. So,
you know, we discussed it yesterday. It just feels like
things are going sideways in a hurry there in Miami.
All of a sudden, Mike McDaniel's falling out of favor
with people there in South Beach, and you start looking
around going, man, you know, Albert Breer told us a
(10:01):
week ago, Look, man, it's a little bit more of
a rebuild than they want to acknowledge as far as
the Dolphins go. And so it got me to think,
and I started doing a little bit of research here,
and I decided, you know what, why don't we go
ahead and just break down exactly how this dysfunction works
and how the success is gone for the Miami Dolphins.
It is time for a game show here.
Speaker 3 (10:22):
So game show music is here.
Speaker 4 (10:25):
Oh okay, so far Arrington different.
Speaker 3 (10:27):
This is game show music.
Speaker 4 (10:29):
Okay, let's go so here.
Speaker 1 (10:31):
It sounds like a slipper game show, like which shoe fits?
Speaker 4 (10:35):
Here's the game show with the flipper music underneath. So
these are the longest active NFL playoff wind drouts in
the league. All right, So, with the Dolphins being as
dysfunctional as they are, the longest active playoff wind drouts
in the NFL, so this these are the teams that
(10:56):
have gone the longest without a playoff win in the
National Football League. So obviously, if we're leading off with Miami,
that would lead us to believe that the Miami Dolphins
are number one on this list. Correct, as we've discussed,
it's been twenty.
Speaker 1 (11:12):
I mean I believe I know that they were on
that list as a number one team. So yes, I'm
going to say yes with you know the Dolphins.
Speaker 4 (11:22):
Yes, So the Miami Dolphins twenty four years since they've
won a playoff game. That's a long.
Speaker 3 (11:28):
Ass time ago, long time ago.
Speaker 4 (11:30):
Yeah, And if I'm not mistaken, I believe it was
against the Indianapolis Colts. And I think Mike Vanderjack missed
a kick late in that game, and so the Miami
Dolphins won that game there, all right? So now can
you guess the next three to round out the top four?
The mount rushmore of playoff wind droughts in the NFL,
if you will. The Dolphins are one head. Can you
(11:52):
name the other three heads here?
Speaker 3 (11:54):
If you had to? Are the Panthers on that list?
Speaker 4 (11:56):
Not the Carolina Panthers.
Speaker 3 (11:58):
They're not.
Speaker 4 (11:58):
They're ok because you remember Cam Newton HadAM in the Super.
Speaker 3 (12:02):
Bowl about ten years How long ago was that?
Speaker 4 (12:04):
About ten years ago?
Speaker 3 (12:05):
That's a long ass time though.
Speaker 4 (12:07):
Damn. Let's go Cleveland, not the Cleveland Browns. Remember how
Baker Mayfield won a playoff game?
Speaker 3 (12:15):
Oh yeah, that's right, that is correct, Yeah, that is correct.
Dang you know who? How about the Dallas Cowboys?
Speaker 4 (12:22):
Not the Dallas Cowboys.
Speaker 3 (12:24):
Oh? Well, man, f you man? Like how long?
Speaker 4 (12:27):
Okay?
Speaker 3 (12:28):
Well think about it? Made like some horrible teams. All right,
here we go, here we go, here we go, here
we go. How about the Las Vegas rate.
Speaker 4 (12:37):
That is correct. Number two on the list, the Las
Vegas Raiders.
Speaker 3 (12:40):
I just tried to give you the worst team.
Speaker 1 (12:42):
Now.
Speaker 4 (12:43):
It's been twenty two years since the Raiders have won
a playoff game, and if I'm not mistaken, I think
it was the Super Bowl year. I think I think
that was the last year they won a playoff game,
when they went to the Super Bowl and got knifed
by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Speaker 3 (12:59):
That's Super Bowl Is Are we doing more?
Speaker 4 (13:04):
Yes, We've on Mount Rushmore. There's two more teams left.
Just think dysfunctional teams who haven't haven't won a playoff
game in a long ass time. To make up the
Tennessee More. Not the Tennessee Titans. Remember they made that run.
Speaker 3 (13:16):
Sited Jets already? Did I cite the Jets too? Did not?
It's got to be the Jets, that.
Speaker 4 (13:21):
Is correct, the New York Jets. It's been fourteen years
since the Jets have won a playoff game. I believe
that was the Rex Ryan era. Rex Ryan the multitasker
of all multitaskers, multitasking a football team and a foot
fetish at the same time. So the New York Jets,
fourteen years since they won a playoff game. There's one
(13:44):
team remaining. It's a team you have pointed out constantly
as being a team that showcases dysfunction here on this show.
I think you take great enjoyment based on a certain
member of this show and a team that he they
have grown up liking as a child, and so you
(14:04):
like to point out that this team is should be
nowhere near in consideration for a functional football team or
a successful one when it comes to playoff games. So,
like I've said, all of them, now there's one left
tied with the Jets.
Speaker 3 (14:17):
Fourteen years, man, fourteen years.
Speaker 4 (14:20):
Since a playoff win. Can I give you a hint?
Speaker 3 (14:27):
Go ahead? All right?
Speaker 4 (14:30):
They did a not so nice thing when you played
there late in the season when it was extremely cold.
Speaker 3 (14:40):
A not so nice thing. That is a horrible no
hot water.
Speaker 4 (14:45):
Oh the Bears, Yes, that is correct, the Chicago Bears.
Speaker 6 (14:49):
I knew you were.
Speaker 3 (14:51):
I'm trying to like.
Speaker 1 (14:52):
But you said twelve years, didn't I just play?
Speaker 3 (14:54):
I mean, you say, Cam Newton going to the.
Speaker 4 (14:56):
Super Bowl fourteen, Bears are fourteen twenty ten, So twenty
ten the Bears and Jets. The last time they want
to playoff then.
Speaker 7 (15:07):
Twenty Yeah, it's bad man, like you if you think
about this, You've got the Dolphins, the Raiders, the Jets,
and the Bears.
Speaker 3 (15:19):
I mean that sounds right.
Speaker 4 (15:20):
That's the company you're keeping. That's and you lead the pack.
And what's weird is it's almost like the Dolphins kind
of fly under.
Speaker 3 (15:29):
The radar as being distonished.
Speaker 1 (15:33):
They're on the because they live on the fence, they
live on the cusp. They're a cusp team. They're like
always on the cusp of being a team. Like are
they good? Are they are? Are they good?
Speaker 8 (15:47):
By the way, by the way, the Dolphins, had you
even been drafted yet at that point, I think that
might have been I know, two thousand. I think that
was right before you got drafted.
Speaker 1 (16:01):
That's the year my oldest son two thousand. I mean,
it's a long as twenty five, twenty five.
Speaker 4 (16:09):
And I al't wonder I almost yeah, what if somebody
told you is you're holding your son when he was
first born?
Speaker 3 (16:18):
Like, hey, by the way, you know, when he turns twenty.
Speaker 1 (16:21):
Last time, the last time Mother Lovers is going to
be in the playoffs, you know, yeah, are you ready
for this?
Speaker 9 (16:28):
Hole.
Speaker 3 (16:29):
It is.
Speaker 4 (16:29):
Uh, it's just wild to think about because Miami sort
of I don't know if it's people just don't care maybe,
but if you're other.
Speaker 1 (16:38):
Thing, there's other things to do that are more important
in Florida. And again, the Dolphins aren't even the biggest
show in terms of football in that area. It's the Hurricanes.
You've been replaced by college football in that market. So
(16:59):
it's all almost like, Wow, you may be disappointed in
what the pro team is doing, you have a replacement to.
Speaker 3 (17:05):
Be like, it's okay, we got to you, like the
you is. I heard, I heard, I heard that.
Speaker 1 (17:16):
I heard that Miami Hurricanes go out to the clubs.
They go out and they'll be walking right in while
Miami Dolphins.
Speaker 5 (17:24):
No, no, they'd be taking the Hurricane right on into
the spot.
Speaker 3 (17:33):
And the Dolphins being line.
Speaker 4 (17:35):
Waiting, Hey, cam Ward ceased to do and he's like,
see inside.
Speaker 3 (17:39):
Hey, Hey, what's up? Hey, come on to him, Hey,
come on with me. Come.
Speaker 4 (17:48):
There's no way that's I heard it.
Speaker 3 (17:51):
That's the rumor on the streets.
Speaker 4 (17:52):
Wait a second, you said the same thing. When you're
with the Giants.
Speaker 1 (17:55):
With the Giant Jets, they treat the Jets like that, Yeah,
depending on what are of New York you were, and
they if they saw Jets, it's like, yeah, y'all gotta wait.
Speaker 3 (18:04):
I mean you could wait in the vi P line.
Speaker 1 (18:07):
They had vi P lines, you know, and the celebrities
you see basketball players, you might see an actor or two.
Speaker 3 (18:14):
You see the Jets in there.
Speaker 1 (18:16):
I was I just to I happened to be a
free agent late late in my career, signing and I
was out with with the homies. We got out of
the car. We walked straight in, straight in, no lines,
no nothing, just walked straight in. I turned and looked.
I see a couple of dudes that played for the Jets.
Speaker 3 (18:34):
I was like, yo, bro, He's like yeah, man, that
got to wait.
Speaker 2 (18:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (18:42):
True story.
Speaker 4 (18:44):
So that is the that is the mount rushmore of
playoff wind droughts in the NFL.
Speaker 3 (18:49):
So that's kind of crazy, man. Some of those were
not expected.
Speaker 1 (18:54):
I kind of figured because we were doing it, you
said it would be the Bears. But when you said
Carolina with Cam that threw me off because weren't they
going back and forth every year during that during that time,
like they would meet up in the playoffs or something
to that effect.
Speaker 3 (19:10):
I was assuming well, yeah, I mean, I'm off. Maybe
my memory is of like.
Speaker 4 (19:14):
The Bears had been to the playoffs a couple of
times since then, they just haven't won, and so yeah,
won a game. Miami has been to the playoffs several times,
they just have they just don't win. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (19:27):
And Cincinnati, I mean, some of these teams could be
misleading because Cincinnati, like up until Joe Burrow, right, they
were getting there and they were losing in the first
round every year, too.
Speaker 4 (19:39):
One and done for every year.
Speaker 3 (19:41):
Yeah, yeah, I mean.
Speaker 1 (19:43):
So some of these are a tad bit misleading, you
know what I mean because some of these teams, like
you said, we look at the Dolphins, We're like, dang, Like,
why do we not just say that they're a crappy team.
There's a couple teams that are on that aren't on
this list that you could actually put in the same
category as this Dolphins. Day.
Speaker 4 (20:01):
Man, Steelers has been since twenty sixteen, Like we're coming
up on ten years since they won a playoff game.
Speaker 3 (20:08):
We're getting that.
Speaker 1 (20:09):
Is crazy, man, that's crazy to think that is crazy
to think that that's how long it's been since the
Steelers had success in the playoffs. But again I would
throw I would throw Dallas in there.
Speaker 3 (20:22):
I would.
Speaker 1 (20:22):
I mean, up until like recent times, some of these teams, right,
I throw Dallas up in there. I throw New England
up in there. Like I said, I throw Cleveland up
in there, Tennessee, I throw them up in there. The
Coat Yeah, even the Colts. I throw the Colts in there.
(20:42):
The Chargers, I throw the Chargers. I would be confident
in throwing a lot of these franchise in there and
say that they're not on the list. But it's misleading
as to how good of a team they are right now.
I mean, like, think about it. How many elite teams
are there that that that that are making it to
the playoffs every single year?
Speaker 4 (21:02):
Name so the Broncos and the Panthers. Their last playoff
wins were the year they met in the Super Bowl.
Think about that, man, it's a long time.
Speaker 3 (21:15):
Think about that.
Speaker 4 (21:16):
It's a long time flies in the NFL. Man, It's a.
Speaker 3 (21:20):
It does fly.
Speaker 1 (21:21):
But again, I think there are way more teams that
are are left left wanting than there are teams that
are just really really good teams. It just seems like
it's the same teams that do well every single year,
like you from last year. If we were to say,
(21:42):
who are the teams that you're looking for to do
well this year? Right, the one the one team that
we can say was a little bit of a surprise
even though they have so much talent that you weren't
surprised was the Minnesota Vikings, and that was because you
didn't know who their quarterback was going to be.
Speaker 3 (22:00):
But then they end up having a really good year.
Speaker 1 (22:03):
So when you think about teams that are really really good,
same teams you talk about Buffalo, you talk about the
Ravens every single year, then you talk about Kansas City
every single year. Now, there was a moment in time
where we kind of question if the Eagles would teeter
over the edge of not being that elite team, but
(22:25):
they didn't. They found a way to figure it out
and pull it together and make another appearance to the
Super Bowl and win it. But then you look at
like some of the ones that snuck up on you,
like the Washington Commanders, they snuck up on you, you know,
And you look at a team like the Detroit Lions.
(22:50):
They kind of built up to it, but they kind
of snuck up on you to become that pretty elite
team that has the chance of going in the distance.
It's just there are a lot of teams that you
could say, all right, is this the team?
Speaker 3 (23:06):
Is it this year? Is it their year? Is it?
Is it the Buffalo Bills? Is it the Ravens year?
This year? Is it Kansas City's? Right? Then you move on.
In the NFC. It's like, like I said, you say,
Philadelphia Eagles.
Speaker 1 (23:20):
Who else do you really jump out there and say
is a dominant team in the NFC?
Speaker 4 (23:25):
Yeah, it's totally you know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (23:27):
Like it's so it's it's like, really, you could look
at most of the league and say they're fringe worthy.
And the reason why you ask the question, why do
I not go all the way in on saying that
the Dolphins stink? It's because they're kind of on that
fringe line like most of the other teams that are
in the National Football League. It's hard to put one
(23:48):
in elite versus they stink, like because they're right there.
It's like, oh, they could be good, they could be
oh they could be bad.
Speaker 3 (23:56):
Yeah, there you go, there you go. Damn.
Speaker 4 (24:00):
It's two pros and a cup of Joe. Here. On
Fox Sports Radio, LeVar Arrington, Jonas Knox with you here
on FSR. Coming up next here though, we're going to
tell you about somebody who's talking about expectations. But we've
got good news for him. We've got good news for him.
Don't believe everything you hear from the media. It's one
coach in the world of sports, and you'll hear from
(24:21):
him next year on FSR.
Speaker 2 (24:23):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Arrington, and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern three am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 3 (24:38):

Two Pros and a Cup of Joe. Here Fox Sports Radio.
Hey everyone, it's showing us Knox at the Home Depot.
It is about time for pros to source the whole
job with one partner. Ask about all we can do
for you at the pro desk the Home Depot Pro
It's about time. Alongside LeVar Arrington here on FSR, we
are going to have our Midweek Awards coming up here
(25:41):
in about fifteen minutes from now here. On Fox Sports Radio.
By the way, they just had this thing pop up
on the local news that a woman delivered a baby
in her car just a few blocks from the hospital.
Speaker 3 (25:55):
Yep. Do you know how much money she just saved?
A lot?
Speaker 4 (26:00):
Like, think about how many thousands of dollars she just
saved because she said, you don't.
Speaker 3 (26:04):
What I got this and do it in the car?
Speaker 4 (26:08):
Yeah, why not? You got the room right, make it happen, So.
Speaker 3 (26:14):
Do it where I made it.
Speaker 1 (26:15):
Yeah, I'm gonna do it where it went in.
Speaker 3 (26:20):
It's gonna come out, you know. There you go.
Speaker 4 (26:26):
Call that a full circle moment.
Speaker 3 (26:28):
Full circle moment.
Speaker 1 (26:29):
So that being said, don't you out there act like
y'all wasn't in the backseat of a car or the
front of it.
Speaker 3 (26:40):
Damn sure that's the mother lovers. There you go.
Speaker 4 (26:52):
So so with that being said, speaking of somebody who
is uh now found him of blocks from an NBA championship.
Mike Brown the new head coach of the New York Knicks,
introduced by the Knicks, and he talked yesterday about the
(27:14):
expectations and where he stands when it comes to steering
this team potentially towards a world title.
Speaker 10 (27:20):
Nobody has any bigger expectations first of all than I do.
My expectations are high. This is a Knicks I talked
about Madison Square Garden for Vian Iconic. I love and
embrace the expectations that come along with a sustainable, winning
culture that produces championships. That's why I'm here. I'm fortunate
to know what it takes to create that success. A
(27:43):
lot of hard work, a high level of commitment, and
a focus on today.
Speaker 4 (27:49):
Now good news and bad news for Mike Brown. Right,
He's two time Coach of the Year. He's won titles
as an assistant with San Antonio and Golden State. Well
respected a guy. A lot of people really really like
good news and bad news. The good news is the
expectations are low from the fans because if you saw
(28:12):
the way they celebrated getting past the second round, it
doesn't take much to make them happy because it's been
so long, all right, So that's the good news. The
bad news is, apparently the expectations are way out of
whack when it comes to the front office because Tom
Thibodeau did something that hadn't been done in like twenty
five years and still got fires. You got like this,
(28:33):
it's like a balancing act, like, well, listen, the fans
were okay with everything. Yeah, but we're we think we're
a little bit better than we actually are. And even
if you do amazing things here that haven't been done
in a long time, it's still going to cost you
your job. So congratulations. If you're Mike Brown, you are
in a situation that probably is going to end poorly.
But they are paying him ten million dollars a year,
(28:55):
so there is that.
Speaker 3 (28:56):
So that would make great compensation.
Speaker 1 (28:58):
Yeah, great, great compensation for giving it a try. He
is qualified, he's he's well respected, by players around the league.
He's been he's been lauded for being a really, really
great basketball mind. It'll be interesting to see what the
moves are that that they make and and what direction
(29:21):
they go. Do they stay relatively the same and just
stay the course and just believe that his influence or
the structure that he brings, or the coaching stat that
he brings is able to get this group of guys
to the next level, or are their additions. There have
been conversations about the rumors swirling that Lebron James might
finish out his career in New York, that there could
(29:43):
be the possibility of that conversation taking place and maybe
them figuring out, you know how Lebron you know, eats
the you know, the contract in LA and takes a
veteran's league minimum in New York. There have been conversations
that have circulated, But I think the greater point here
(30:06):
is the one that you make is that you can
only go in a lot of ways. You have a
very small margin, a very small window to go up.
The window to go down is a much larger one.
If you're the new you know, New York Knicks coach.
Speaker 4 (30:26):
And I mean look, the Eastern Conference is wide open
because of the injuries and all the movement. You look
at it and you go, I mean Indiana without Tyrese Halliburton,
who the hell knows? Boston without Tatum, who the hell knows.
Speaker 3 (30:39):
But I would.
Speaker 4 (30:40):
Imagine that, you know, you can't really take them as
legitimate title contenders. The Bucks are trying to figure out
with Giannis and they sign you know, uh, why my
blanket on his name, Miles Turner. They sign him after
they released Damian Lillard, who apparently wanted to release be
released and all. So like you're looking around the Eastern
(31:01):
Conference going, dude, you got Cleveland, who appears to be
the healthiest, and that's the first.
Speaker 1 (31:07):
Time another destination possibly for Lebron.
Speaker 4 (31:11):
But also a team that hasn't had injury luck when
it comes to the postseason. They've always had something pop
up the past couple of years, even when they were
the favorite or one of the favorites to get to
the finals.
Speaker 1 (31:21):
So it seems like Donovan always gets banged up in
the playoffs.
Speaker 4 (31:26):
Yeah, they've had no loss.
Speaker 1 (31:27):
It seems like something always happens with Donovan Mitchell Winn. Yeah,
a playoff and.
Speaker 4 (31:30):
Then it was Garland as well too, had the issue
with his foot.
Speaker 3 (31:33):
He wasn't Yeah, he wasn't all the way right.
Speaker 4 (31:35):
It's it's just so if you're the Knicks, you're looking
around going, dude, we got a real shot here. I
just wonder, like, I know, if I'm Mike Brown, based
on what happened in Sacramento and his knowledge of how
coaches are treated in the NBA, if I'm Mike Brown,
I'm thinking, man, if I could deliver an NBA Finals
appearance here, I mean, they're going to hold me in
(31:58):
high regard when it because it hasn't happening so long.
But he's also there, well, he's.
Speaker 1 (32:03):
Also they or will will they tear him apart and
say Thibodeaux?
Speaker 3 (32:07):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (32:08):
Is it Phibideaux or Thibodeauxeau Thibodeau h right, Thibideaux. Uh.
It's it's like he set the standard. The barometer is
is pretty high on this one. So if he were
to go a little bit further, they're going to be like, oh,
it's a team that somebody else built, He's got to
win it. Like That's what I'm saying, that that that
(32:31):
margin of what he needs to do for it to
be a successful transition from from last year is this
past year's coach to him now currently is nothing like
he has to almost win it or.
Speaker 3 (32:44):
To make sense.
Speaker 4 (32:45):
Yeah, that's not gonna happen.
Speaker 1 (32:46):
So then then then he's he's going, he's going, he's
going to be exposed to some intense criticism as to
what the hell is he doing?
Speaker 4 (32:58):
And it goes back to the original point.
Speaker 3 (33:00):
Ten million bucks a year, I mean bucks a year.
Speaker 1 (33:03):
He's got ten million reasons a year to block it
out and in fact, how many years is the.
Speaker 3 (33:08):
Contract to be fully guaranteed?
Speaker 1 (33:11):
Yeah, I think he got here forty million reasons, not
ten You got forty million.
Speaker 4 (33:16):
You know, they say tricks and four kids, and she's
got forty of them. Forty So listen, Mike Brown, good
luck and congratulations of getting paid a guy that a
lot of people speak very highly of in the in
the NBA. So not a bad bounce back from the
Sacramento King's disaster whatever happened there with with Mike Brown.
Speaker 3 (33:37):
So I had them they wereing for a quick minute. Man,
it was balling for quick.
Speaker 4 (33:42):
That was another one of those firings that took place
where you're like, hold on a second. This team's been bad.
He got them relevant again and then he got fired.
It's just the NBA is a wild place. It is

There are some good things that happen, and there's some bad,
and then there's some downright ugly things. It's time for good,
bad and lovely.
Speaker 4 (35:08):
All right, lead to lap What do you got Will?
Speaker 11 (35:10):
As we do each and every Wednesday, we start with
the good and Jonas you are delivering those goods this week.
Speaker 4 (35:15):
Look, fourth of July is done. It's all over, and
now people are looking around going, oh man, it's a
long time until we got another holiday Labor Day. Now,
how do we fill that gap? It's easy football. We
got training camp right around the corner. Right after training camp,
you've got the preseason games. You've got a Hall of
(35:37):
Fame game mixed in there at the end of the month.
The Hall of Fame Game, by the way, I believe
comes up in like two three weeks something like that.
I think it's July thirty. First, we're going to get
the Meadhead Bowl. I think it's the Chargers and the
Lions in the Hall of Fame Game this year. All
that being said, I know a lot of people are
coming off the long holiday weekend going, oh man, bummer,
it's a while to we get another one of these.
(35:58):
Don't worry about it. Football is going to fill that
gap and make you full by the time Labor Day
comes around. It's right around the corner here. That's not
good for the week. Man, we got football this month?
Speaker 3 (36:09):
Isn't that good?
Speaker 4 (36:10):
H Well, can't have good without the bad. And what
was bad this week?
Speaker 11 (36:13):
Besides the Dodgers, which are on a pretty bad streak
right now, how about this coverage of Stefan and Cardi
b the whole coverage of it. Whether or not these
fake rumors, most of them are fake. You know, something
stinks in this whole situation, but I think that's a
little fake.
Speaker 3 (36:29):
Hold on, hold on, hold on, oh man.
Speaker 4 (36:31):
Lee, repeat the conversation we had during the break because
I almost threw up in a trash can outside.
Speaker 11 (36:38):
Yeah, I got to say these are rumors and most
likely fake. But there was a joke that went on
social media that Stefan Diggs broke up with Cardi because
her bbl.
Speaker 3 (36:47):
Stink bbl i orna.
Speaker 11 (36:52):
Well specifically stink like hot and garbage is what some
some rumorsos are saying. But if you look into it.
She doesn't have a real BBL. She has like some
uh what take injections for her.
Speaker 3 (37:04):
Some eli don't do that.
Speaker 1 (37:06):
What do you mean if you look at it it
bl not look at it, look into it.
Speaker 12 (37:12):
She claims that she has butt shots not to be please.
Speaker 1 (37:15):
Yeah, okay, but anyway, he's got boobjection.
Speaker 4 (37:23):
There's no anyway, Lreena, tell me what you said during
the break.
Speaker 12 (37:28):
If you get a botched surgery on your BBL or
lower parts, the skin your actual meat underneath can start
to deteriorate, and that's what causes the rotting meat smell,
so it can be an infection. You really got to
check it out if you do sALS coming from your bbls.
Speaker 3 (37:44):
I gotta be honest.
Speaker 1 (37:46):
Though she makes entirely too much money to be in
that category.
Speaker 12 (37:53):
You would think that. But what about that artist who
he does a wilden out and his wife died after
having publications from.
Speaker 3 (38:00):
Er What do you mean?
Speaker 12 (38:01):
What do you mean famous and they have money and
they still get botched?
Speaker 4 (38:04):
John, what do you mean? LeVar?
Speaker 3 (38:05):
Rich?
Speaker 4 (38:06):
People can't go to the dollar tree.
Speaker 1 (38:08):
But but what I'm saying, and you're right, you're talking
about what's his name? The little slim dude I forget,
and she is pretty popular too.
Speaker 3 (38:15):
She's a while an now girl. But but I mean, yeah,
that happened.
Speaker 1 (38:19):
But I mean, if something gets botched, you still have
the resources to get it fixed.
Speaker 3 (38:25):
It's not like she cut a corner.
Speaker 1 (38:27):
She went to who she thought was going to be
good at doing the procedure regardless of anything. I would
assume that Cardi B has the resources to make sure
that her ass don't stink. Yeah, I mean that's all
I'm gonna go with. I don't buy her ass stank,
her bbl stank, and that's why he don't want to
(38:47):
be with her.
Speaker 3 (38:47):
I don't buy that. But yeah, there you go.
Speaker 1 (38:50):
Yeah, anyway, it was a very abrupt ending though one
I will say.
Speaker 3 (38:53):
They've wiped you.
Speaker 11 (38:54):
They've wiped any reference to each other on their social media.
Speaker 4 (38:58):
So last so this has It's like when you realize
the fridge is broken and you got to open up
to get some blooney out and it just and it
smells like a rotting carcass.
Speaker 12 (39:13):
Trash can at the end of the week on a
hot summer.
Speaker 9 (39:15):
It happened to me, or if you or if you
cooked fish and you don't clean it up immediately, and
it's like you get that like three four hour grates
period of it just sitting there and your your whole
house smell, especially if it's like a fishy fish, like
if you like you cook salmon or or like telapia
(39:37):
and you just let it go, your whole house will
smell like some bad fish.
Speaker 4 (39:47):
Well, guys, from bad to horse, what was ugly that
big bar?
Speaker 1 (39:51):
I mean you you you took it because you want
to allude to it.
Speaker 3 (39:54):
Just stick to your plan.
Speaker 1 (39:57):
The Dodgers and and how much they're losing, I mean
they just lost again, you know, so, I mean it's
the Dodgers and they need to you know, they need
to write the ship and figure it out. There's still
a top and they're still they still have a very
positive outlook on the season, but it has been an
(40:18):
embarrassing losing streak of sorts for this La Dodgers team.
That's my ugly for the I don't think there's anything
ugly or in sports right now. Then the number one
team being one of the number one teams being in
such a tailspin like like the Dodgers, I don't know.
(40:39):
Man having a smelly fake ass that doesn't that might
outdo it.
Speaker 4 (40:44):
That's so gross.
Speaker 1 (40:46):
But that's if it were true. Like, we can't be
talking like it's true. I don't want to put that
funky butt energy on Cardi B. It might not be true,
but if it is true, Cardy, please get your ass addressed.
Speaker 3 (40:59):
Please please address that issue.
Speaker 1 (41:02):
You don't want that to catch on where people talking
about you gotta funky ass like you don't want that
