Speaker 1 (00:01):
Is the best of two pros and a couple Joe
with Lamar Rings rating to win and Jonas Knox on
Fox four Radio.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
So, Terry Bradshaw had some criticism of Aaron Rodgers a
few weeks back and talked about, you know, he should
why would you want to bring him in? He should
go back to chewing on bark or whatever it is
that he's doing, just you know, went on a little
bit of a rant, as he's known to do from
time to time. So, Aaron Rodgers was being interviewed by
(00:35):
Kyle Brandt of NFL Network at training camp over the
weekend and he responded to Bradshaw's comments.
Speaker 3 (00:41):
I've known Terry for a long time being a part
of Fox. Terry's a legend. He's an absolute legend. He
won four Super Bowls, He's had a legendary career in
the media. But Terry, like a lot of people, doesn't
know me, and so he's got an idea of what
he thinks about me based on what I've done, the documentary,
(01:03):
what I've said, Darkness Retreat, whatever the hell you want
to talk about. I'd love to get to know Terry
on a deeper level. And I feel like if he
gave me a chance to get to know him, they
would have a good friendship. Because for me, I have
nothing but the utmost amount of respect and deference for
what the greats have done, because they laid the foundation
for us to be able to play in this great game,
(01:25):
to be paid like kings, and to carry on the
tradition of excellence that guys like the Bradshaws of the
world in the seventies and Bart Starr in the sixties,
and Lombardy and Joe Montana and Steve Young and Troy
Aikman and Brett Favre and all the greats that have
been over Tom Brady. You know, we're standing on the
backs of those guys, and it's because of how they
(01:46):
played and how they carried themselves, they were able to
have this opportunity to still play this great game, to
get paid really well, to set ourselves up for our future.
So I'd love to get to know Terry on a
deeper level if he's open to it, and maybe we
can go choose some work or whatever the hell he's
talking about together.
Speaker 2 (02:02):
So there was Aaron Rodgers over the weekend, and I
feel like, you know, when you hear that you go, yeah,
and maybe he could also sit down in men fences
with LeVar, who's been extremely critical of Aaron Rodgers this
entire offseason. So why are you trying to throw Lvar?
Speaker 4 (02:21):
Because I mean, bang bang, because I was just standing there.
I'm just sitting there listening to the sound.
Speaker 2 (02:28):
I feel like we've been very supportive of Aaron Rodgers
in this journey, and uh not everybody's been a supportive
or has backed him up throughout this entire process of
the Jets, and uh now he's with the Steelers and
just a lot of skepticism there.
Speaker 4 (02:44):
I'm not a hater of Aaron Rodgers. I don't hate
Aaron Rodgers. I am a person that will give critiques
and be critical and and and look at things from
a critical standpoint. And I have been critical of certain
things that are connected to Aaron Rodgers. I mean it's interesting,
(03:04):
Like Terry Bradshaw, if he doesn't like you, he doesn't
like you. I mean, that's what it appears to be.
I mean, he doesn't. He's not a fan of Mike
tomlin either, and he's had some really really interesting things
to say about Tomlinsberg. He was he I mean, listen
when you won four Super Bowls, and you've done accomplished
the things that Terry Bradshaw has done. He's pretty much
(03:24):
bulletproof with what he wants to say about anything Steelers related.
And and so sometimes you just got to take situations
like that at face value. You know, it's I think
he handled I think Aaron Rodgers and this particular situation,
I thought he handled himself well and in the way
(03:47):
that he presented himself. And he's right, I mean, he's
definitely right. He Terry Bradshaw probably does fall into that
category of most people that are very critical of him
based off of the things that they see, and they
base their opinions and their conclusions off of things that
(04:10):
may not necessarily be him in real life. You know,
I always say, you know, I do media, I get
into character. And when you know, the person that you
may see in doing a show and the person that
you may meet in person may be a different person
because I'm not I'm not in character. And while I'm
(04:33):
myself pretty much when I'm doing doing media, doing radio,
just like in football, you know, the guy that was
trying to tear dude's heads off and knock people out
and and maim them and do all these crazy, wild
physical things to guys on pause on the football field.
That's not who I am as the regular person. So
(04:54):
if you're basing who you think I am off of
what I do here or what I've done, and I
played ball in the past, that that would probably be
two different experiences. And and so I get where he's
coming from. I thought he handled it well because he
could have He could have been he could have been
a you know, adversarial about it. You know, he could
(05:15):
have he could have maybe said some some things that
maybe defended himself more. But he gave Terry Bradshaw's props
and challenged Terry to get to know him before he
goes down that lane.
Speaker 5 (05:29):
Yeah, I thought I thought that was like the biggest
thing about it. I'll take a step back further. Knowing
Kyle Brandt who asked the question, and knowing Aaron he
wanted Kyle to ask him that question, like this was
teed up for him to come away looking like this,
(05:50):
and he had planned to kind of have this this
ready for someone to serve him up a metal and
knock it out of the park with his response. So,
you know, knowing him again, he's been at times doesn't
want to talk to the media, you know, but in
this case he chose to. I'm sure he was asked,
(06:10):
we're going to talk about this, or I'm going to
ask you about this, and in his mind he's thinking, yeah,
please do because I've got the perfect response teed up
for this. So where it should satisfy hopefully any doubters
or people who are looking for a reason to not
like Aaron Rodgers who are Steelers fans. It's a call
to action for Terry Bradshaw and a challenge where if
(06:34):
you're gonna be critical, all right, but at least come
get to know me first, at least chew on bark
with me. So I just think all the way around,
it was like a very calculated, wise, like savvy response,
and you know, it's it's again what I would expect
in this situation, especially this is all in last year.
(06:54):
It's like, what's the point in trying to lean into
that and create enemies. This is going to be your
your swan song, like your your final opportunity to showcase
what you're.
Speaker 2 (07:05):
Able to do as a quarterback.
Speaker 4 (07:08):
I mean, I'm listen, he still has to get out
there and he still has to prove out. And that's
always the kind of the complicated I guess approach to
a situation like this is that Terry again, he's already
accomplished what he's accomplished. He's already what he is to
(07:29):
the Pittsburgh Steelers community because he's he's stayed in front
of the media. He has had a he had a
brilliant career as a player. You know, people would say,
you know, I mean, people wouldn't say, the city would say, literally,
the identity of Pittsburgh was defined when he was a
(07:50):
quarterback for that team, Like our identity as a city
was defined by the Steel Curtain and that offense with
Terry Bradshaw and Franco and Rocky Blier and and and
those guys Lynn Swan. Our whole entire, our whole entire
(08:10):
mentality and how we approach things is very Steel curtain.
Speaker 2 (08:15):
Like does anybody actually chew bark? Though?
Speaker 4 (08:18):
Yeah, I thought that was an interesting thing.
Speaker 2 (08:20):
I never heard of.
Speaker 4 (08:21):
That probably has. Yeah, it just seems like I've never heard.
Are your teeth in good enough condition to be able
to chew on?
Speaker 2 (08:29):
I got I got veneers.
Speaker 4 (08:30):
That's a terrible would you get splinters in your mouth
if you shoot on no splinters action from bark maybe No,
I don't think you get splintered.
Speaker 2 (08:42):
Like you just think about all the bugs and the
squirrels that crawl up there. They're just dropping.
Speaker 4 (08:47):
I mean, there may be nutritional value in that though.
Speaker 2 (08:50):
God.
Speaker 4 (08:51):
I mean, if you go into a tree, some trees,
you can go in there and get honey. There's there's
bees and stuff in there. You know, I'm just saying
allergic to bees.
Speaker 5 (09:00):
To the point of Aaron Rodgers' performance, can I give you,
guys the bar that's been set, you'd probably have to
go to Ben Roethlisberger's last year starting. That was probably
the last time, because I believe Jonas you kind of
brought that up. That's the last time you had a
quarterback who I think played consistently throughout the course of
(09:22):
a season at a decently high level. And those twenty
two touchdowns, thirty seven hundred yards, completed, sixty four sixty
five percent of passes, like he.
Speaker 2 (09:36):
Can do all of that.
Speaker 5 (09:37):
It's very similar to you know, when he was in
it with the Jets. As much as people want to
critique whatever, you know, his play was, it really ended
up being one year, even though he was there for
two and it was still a drastic improvement upon what
they had had in the past. However, you want to
cut that up. So the interesting thing about this is
(09:59):
not sure what the expectation is for his performance, but
I can assure you if he stays healthy, it will
at least be at those numbers that I just mentioned
in regards to Ben Roethlisberger.
Speaker 2 (10:12):
I mean, it's going to be the best they've seen
in years. It will be the best they've seen in
five years.
Speaker 4 (10:17):
If he plays well, it will This will have a
lasting impact on his career because going into the AFC North,
he's going to have to be prepared to go up
against some serious defenses, and for what it's worth, they're
going to have to try to keep up with these
(10:39):
offenses in the AFC. If he can win, if he
can guide the Pittsburgh Steelers to an AFC North crown,
I think everyone that has had anything super super critical
to say in terms of what the conclusions are that
people are drawing and not being a positive one me
(11:03):
one of them, me being one of them, we would
owe We would owe not only Aaron Rodgers apology, we
would owe con an apology. We would owe Mike Tomlin apology,
we would owe the Steelers organization an apology. But been
on board. I think it's a long shot. Though I'm
as much of a fan as I am, and I'm
a Pittsburgh guy. I think it's a long shot. Call
(11:25):
me a skeptic. I think it's a long shot for
them to even finish second.
Speaker 2 (11:32):
And in the division.
Speaker 4 (11:34):
I think it's going to be a battle between them
and Cleveland for who brings up the rear in the
AFC North.
Speaker 1 (11:40):

Speaker 2 (13:07):
It, and lead the lab not here, so for that
we turn it over to a man who's so cool. Yeah,
he holds oh, he holds it. Shoot us, justin Cooper,
he shot us with the mic. Yeah, hoop, you want
to explain why you're holding the mic?
Speaker 8 (13:25):
Yeah?
Speaker 9 (13:25):
You know this this mic was just it's supposed to
screw into here, but it just completely broke Offhang he
was shooting us though? And should I should? I should
I go into further details? Yes, yes you should. Uh
this Uh, this broken mic incident actually happened several months ago.
Speaker 4 (13:45):
Long time.
Speaker 9 (13:47):
I thought it was repaired, and then I learned that
it was just it was just taped together.
Speaker 2 (13:52):
Wow, so they didn't fix it. They just used tape.
Speaker 4 (13:55):
Yeah, you couldn't see the tape the exact.
Speaker 2 (13:59):
Same snap point that it did. What are we doing?
Speaker 9 (14:03):
I don't know if that's how I was told it
was tape, but maybe it was on the inside or
maybe they tried to using glue or something.
Speaker 4 (14:10):
Oh to get it to like stick and take like
get that little torque, you know what I mean little?
Speaker 2 (14:16):
So it's like stripped, is what it is. Oh, No,
it's it's completely broken.
Speaker 9 (14:21):
The plastic has broken that it's supposed to like screw
into there.
Speaker 2 (14:25):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (14:26):
I've learned a lot since coming to work at this station.
Speaker 9 (14:30):
Yeah, Anyways, guys, in case you missed it over because
this is and I don't know how you did, because
this went pretty viral.
Speaker 2 (14:37):
Nikola Jokic went viral.
Speaker 9 (14:40):
He was he owns a horse in his races, horses
in his native Serbia, and he just won a race
and he was overcome with joy, started crying into his hands,
hopped the fence. Is just you know, he lifted his
his rider up in the air with the cart, you know,
(15:02):
in what's the cart? Yes, with the cart, lifting the
entire car, I mean, with help with somebody else, lifted
the cart up in the air, sprang Champagne everywhere, crying
and then people comparing it to his reaction after winning
the NBA Championship with the Nuggets, where he was just
kind of going through the motions.
Speaker 2 (15:19):
Okay, hold on, hold on, he was carrying that team
with the Nuggets. He was exhausted. All right. This is
when's just a spectator in this case. Give him a break.
I don't know, I don't like I don't like it.
How much money do you think he won on this race,
this carriage race, because it's probably a fraction of the
money he's made in the NBA and he's that overcome
(15:42):
with joy. Guy really likes horses, man, That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 4 (15:45):
He's more passionate about this than on Netflix, though, and
showed how intense the whole approach to trying to win
a race is in horse racing. I mean, it's the
whole process of it and and being like at the
top of it, like being an owner of a racehorse
and the entire team. I mean, I could see why
(16:05):
you'd be overcome with emotion. You know, a lot of
it takes a lot of It takes a lot. Basically,
it takes a lot of people.
Speaker 7 (16:13):
We'll say, a dying dog behind the car so that
dog that dog, so that that horse doesn't get the
same love and respect as like God Lee cold Blooded.
Speaker 1 (16:24):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Arrington and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern three am Pacific.
Speaker 2 (16:34):
All right, So Christian Wilkins was released by the Raiders.
There was some issue with I guess they didn't like
how he rehabbed, how he handled all that. So you
know he's going to lose out on like thirty five
million dollars of guarantees they're going to avoid that, and
(16:57):
he's filed a complaint with the NFLP A great timing
for that, seems like that's a that's gonna go well.
And then some stories started to come out yesterday that
maybe there was a little bit more to the story,
that that maybe there was other reasons why Christian Wilkins
was released. According to Josina Anderson and others, Uh, he
(17:19):
may have also had a quote unquote incident with a
teammate that may have also led to his release, and
Raiders reporter Mitchell Wrenz called it a very weird incident.
And so some people are speculating, like, man, like, what
could it be? And then you start to look up
(17:39):
some previous highlight videos of Christian Wilkes dancing well at Clemson.
Speaker 4 (17:44):
He has a certain dance style, yeah.
Speaker 2 (17:48):
A certain certain grab style and huddles too. I mean
it's as Blayton as it gets. What do you mean that?
Speaker 1 (17:57):
What?
Speaker 2 (17:57):
What's this Blayton as it gets? Okay, there's video of
him when he played at Clemson where he literally reaches
down and grabs for a guy's junk, like he's like
he's picking up a bowling ball, and last I checked,
you know, there's no seven to ten split there, and
(18:17):
he's got that. He's also got the other where he's
reaching under the pile to grab for Josh Allen. There's
just there's trying to grab for Josh. There's you find
the videos. He like reaches under the pile and Josh
Allen kind of freaks out and starts kicking and yelling
like what's this guy doing? And there's like a former
(18:38):
teammate who was quoted as saying, yeah, he's always been
a little freaky. So I don't know if that's attached
to any of this. But since we don't have any
clear cut answers, may as well speculate, much like everybody else,
as to what the weird incident was that would lead
the Raiders to one who part ways with Christian Wilkins.
(18:58):
Seems like, seem like there's a lot going on there.
Go I cue toss it to me, Yeah, thanks, guys.
I have no idea what is going on.
Speaker 5 (19:12):
I'm not sure if I mean, look, if he's filing
the grievance, I would assume that he's trying to make
the case that they're releasing him for something other than
what they're saying, that it wasn't just about the rehab
and that some incident took place. So I can I
can only speculate based on some of the images I've seen.
(19:35):
I mean, I'm just I have no idea what direction
he's going here. I have no idea, So I'm not
sure why I get tossed this hand grenade. Oh, y'all
want me to take it? Y'all want me to have
on a hand grenade?
Speaker 4 (19:50):
Mean, some of this stuff is pretty Uh.
Speaker 5 (19:54):
Here's what I'd say is Pete Carroll is one of
the most accepting head coaches and people that I've been
around in regards to a head coach and a football
locker room and all that.
Speaker 2 (20:08):
But there also comes.
Speaker 5 (20:10):
A zero tolerance policy for bs, and there must have
been some bs going on if this, if this took place,
I'll just I'll leave it at that.
Speaker 2 (20:26):
I've just shown a levard two pieces of video evidence.
Those are some.
Speaker 4 (20:33):
Pretty habit in criminating. Those are some pretty incriminating deals.
But I just think back to if y'all remember he's
the one in the national they won the national title.
Clemson wins the national title, and they show him and
(20:53):
his celebratory state. And let's just say it was a
little and I mean it was I mean, I'm not
gonna play around with it. It was zesty. It was
super zesty. And it was just one of those things
where I'll ask you, Joe, you're looking at it. Listen,
(21:14):
any dude that is doing a high kick and grabbing
his foot.
Speaker 2 (21:20):
That's not named Spice Adams.
Speaker 4 (21:22):
Yeah, not even Spice does that. I gotta say not.
Spice doesn't even do that, and and grabs his foot
by it, pulls it up to his head and his
air and does a full split and and like owns
it like that's something he always does. I'm I'm I'm
gonna lean on the side of that's a little zesty.
Speaker 2 (21:45):
I mean, it looks like you said, hey girl, I mean,
I mean, I mean, yeah, magic Shane Gillis got hold
of that.
Speaker 4 (21:54):
All I'm gonna say is, if that's what it is,
that somebody wasn't liking what he was putting down or
the signal that he was pushing out there, that that's
pretty interesting. I'll go back to the idea of he
signed a really big contract with the Raiders. They probably
(22:15):
i mean one hundred percent after the injury and how
that was handled. They didn't want to pay all that money.
I think they ended up being in it for like
fifty million, I believe, like somewhere to that effect. And
they were trying to get from under five million. They
were trying to get from under all of the guarantees
(22:36):
that were were going to go to him with the
idea that they didn't want him anymore. Like, I think
that that's ultimately what it comes back to, is they
were trying to get from underneath the contract. They did
not believe he was worth the value of what he
was brought there for. I mean, look, whatever else comes
out of it from there I and it is what
(22:57):
it or goes in.
Speaker 2 (23:00):
You know. That's that's just the I feel like it's
a different topic. Yeah, I'm just saying, man, like, you know,
there's you know, there's it's fair to speculate. I mean,
there's clear video evidence of the guy reaching down and
grabbing you know, some guy's skin luggage under a pile.
Can I see your balls? I'd like to see. I
don't know. And so what else you got? Stop? Stop,
(23:23):
don't do don't do this, I don't know anything.
Speaker 5 (23:26):
Don't do this. Once you get on a roll, you
get out one of your unique phrases, you call something.
It was super unique. What else you got anything?
Speaker 2 (23:37):
I got nothing? Man? I just stopped you sick of go?
Keep going?
Speaker 4 (23:41):
Why did I see like a crocodile? Like text? Your
carrying bag? When you say that.
Speaker 2 (23:49):
Skin luggage, Louis Bolton, I just like these are? This
is clear? You got another one?
Speaker 4 (24:03):
Come on, I wou here you got another one?
Speaker 2 (24:06):
You have another one, at least one? Keep going. I
don't have anything.
Speaker 4 (24:11):
What else do you have anything?
Speaker 2 (24:15):
Come on? Come on, you's sick?
Speaker 4 (24:18):
Oh, come on, come on, you got it?
Speaker 2 (24:24):
Last one more? I don't know. No, I don't have
I don't have anything. Yes, you do, stop lying to us.
Speaker 4 (24:31):
I did luggage and Louis Bolton.
Speaker 2 (24:36):
Idiots. I'm just those our shirts.
Speaker 4 (24:42):
By the way, those are shirts.
Speaker 2 (24:44):
We should have one of the dopest T shirt stores ever.
Speaker 4 (24:47):
With the sayings that come from this show, I will
understand what we don't have.
Speaker 2 (24:51):
I mean, that's an excusable. I can understand twisting and grabbing,
but when you're going out of your way to do it.
That was weird.
Speaker 4 (24:57):
That first one you showed was a little weird, like
let me just go like maybe if I just maybe
no one else see.
Speaker 2 (25:04):
It's not even a pile. The guy's laying on the
ground just goes down. Just go ahead and do it.
Throw it in there, Throw it in there.
Speaker 4 (25:12):
That was more of a like a friendly caress too.
It wasn't like it was like the hurting or anything
like that. That like that Phillies fan that Coop showed
me earlier.
Speaker 2 (25:22):
I saw that. Jesus good for them. Broad Daylight. I
don't know the upper deck got down like that Broad Daylightang.
I don't know if it was tasting her or she
was convulsing, or what was going on there.
Speaker 4 (25:34):
Tang.
Speaker 2 (25:36):
I'm sure you've got some some phrase you want to drop?
Speaker 3 (25:38):
You too?
Speaker 2 (25:40):
What else you got? I don't know. It's probably missing
a watch after that, Tang, that's that's not your best material.
You know you've got more. You just don't. I can't.
I guess, but I can't. I just can't skin. I
don't want to get jumped once.
Speaker 4 (25:57):
What's wrong with you getting trying to keep my perfect record?
Speaker 2 (26:00):
Oh stuff, you don't have a perfect record. Yes, wait,
what has he been dumb? I don't know. I don't
think by me he has. I don't think he has.
Speaker 5 (26:10):
Actually, I think it's mostly been me for my own ignorance,
and then I think some of art.
Speaker 2 (26:15):
I've definitely no I did. I got dumped one time
back at the old studio. What I accidentally I was
trying to combine two words. Oh yeah, you actually said
a cuss word. I think, yeah, yeah, it didn't go well,
it wasn't intentional.
Speaker 4 (26:30):
That's all right, Just pack it away in your skin luggage.
By Lewis Balton.
Speaker 2 (26:39):
An idiot. You've been waiting, You've been Here's the thing
that people don't know. Behind the scenes. You've been waiting
so long to use some of this material is hilarious,
but I haven't. I'm just, you know, simply reporting the
news here.
Speaker 5 (26:58):
That's that's what makes it to me, but also sad
at the same time as you sit on some of
these names for like forever, I can't wait to use
a song radio.
Speaker 2 (27:07):
Yeah, this could come in handy one day. That is
hilarious that it could really help out.
Speaker 4 (27:14):
One Louis Louis Baton Bolton is really good. I just
that's uh, yeah, I don't know, really funny, all right, Well,
I mean he gone though, I mean he gone. The
conclusion is somebody else going to pick them my way?
Speaker 1 (27:31):
They're not.
Speaker 2 (27:31):
He's not gonna lose all that thirty five million? Is he? Like?
Is all that going to be gone?
Speaker 4 (27:37):
Like I said, I mean you you're the contract guy.
I think he's already received like fifty million if I'm
if I'm not mistaken.
Speaker 2 (27:47):
No, he's gotten.
Speaker 4 (27:48):
He's gotten there they're getting from. No, well, they get
more million. Game there's thirty five that they're trying to
get away from. I don't know that they get out
of all of it. But they released though.
Speaker 5 (28:00):
Yeah, if they release them and they've got whatever, cause
that they show that he is not you know, within
the confines of the contract, I'm sure they can.
Speaker 2 (28:11):
They can state their claim.
Speaker 4 (28:12):
And that's what's going on right now. Yeah, they're gonna
know what's going on.
Speaker 5 (28:16):
They're gonna try to file the grievance and figure out
if they can. Maybe they'll settle for some amount in between.
Maybe the you know, raiders hold strong and they say
no like you did not you know, do X, Y
and Z within you know, per per our contract, per
the agreement, and you know that's that's the end of it.
Speaker 4 (28:34):
So we'll see there's a reason why they let them go.
I'll say that they must.
Speaker 5 (28:39):
Be Yeah, that's that's what doesn't make sense, right. Like
we look at the Dallas Cowboys with Trayvon Diggs and
you know he gets pay deducted. He's got like a
de escalator in there for not rehabit. They didn't cut them.
There's there's way more to this story. You know, there's
there's a black hole of information that we're gonna have
(29:01):
to enter it too.
Speaker 4 (29:02):
Dang that I didn't get some information on this. I'm
not going into that black hole. I'm gonna let y'all
go to the black hole and bring the information back
to me. I'll be waiting on y'all.

Speaker 4 (29:23):
A turn around, I said, letting my seat be free?
Can you stop kicking me?
Speaker 7 (29:36):
His U?
Speaker 4 (29:37):
I am in my ce two pros and a cup
of Joe.
Speaker 2 (29:42):
Fox Sports Radio, LeVar Arrington, Brady, Quinn, Jonas Knox with
you hare, happy to have sticks back. You were giving
more information on the the Little Girl. Yes, not little girl.
Speaker 4 (29:57):
I mean she was a bigger, big little girl like
she had to have been.
Speaker 2 (30:01):
So you even pushed your seat back and she was
still firing off.
Speaker 4 (30:06):
I mean I even turned around before I knew it
was a little girl, Like I turned around to see
who was abusing my seat the way that they were
for the entire first hour and a half of the flight.
I turned around and I looked because it was finally
to my wits end one hour and a half into
a five hour flight, So a look stops. So that's
(30:28):
how I know, all right, she gets what she's doing.
Then I turn and I look at the dad after
she started doing it, like two minutes after I turned around,
right the dad. I put my hands up to the dad, like,
are you gonna tell your kid to stop kicking my seat?
Like you do know that there's a person on the
(30:49):
other side of this seat, and it's first class seating,
so you got space.
Speaker 2 (30:55):
It's not like you cramped in there.
Speaker 4 (30:58):
Anyway. Looked at the dad. The dad looks at the kid,
tells the kid stop. The kid stops for like five minutes,
like may three minutes longer. Next thing, you know, kids
dealing on the back seat of my seat again. So
it is what it is, man, I mean, I was
two seconds away from turning around and say I can't
do nothing.
Speaker 2 (31:16):
To her, but I will whoop your ass. I was close.
I was close.
Speaker 4 (31:21):
It was close.
Speaker 2 (31:23):
It was close hostile.
Speaker 4 (31:25):
I gotta admit I almost hit the hostile black man button.
Like it's there. I had the hostile black man button.
Speaker 2 (31:33):
Maybe maybe the Delta agent wasn't wrong on the phone.
Speaker 4 (31:38):
I hadn't hit the button on that though I was.
I was actually being a customer, just in need of
some customer service.
Speaker 2 (31:47):
I was not.
Speaker 4 (31:48):
I was upset, but I had not went past the
point of being so irate that I pulled the ripcord.
I hit the emergency be an irate hostile black man
did not do that.
Speaker 5 (32:01):
I'd say, what would be the one example of that
hitting the button?
Speaker 2 (32:06):
Would it be that that's seven on seven fight with
the guy with the Yeah, I'll get.
Speaker 4 (32:13):
When I was in high school, I was playing basketball
and we were in a tournament and we were winning
the tournament.
Speaker 2 (32:22):
We were in the championship game.
Speaker 4 (32:23):
We're playing against the school Ducaine, and we were winning.
And Ducaine is an inner city school outside of Pittsburgh.
Predominantly black school, but they had a few, Like it's reversed,
like they had a few white kids on their team,
and the one white kid on the team was like
throwing some nice little slurs at me, right, So I'm
(32:45):
like laughing at him, like ha ha whatever, like you're
just trying, like I get it. It's mental game. Yeah,
it was. It was. It was.
Speaker 2 (32:55):
It was decent. But was it like a Jason Williams
type guy or like how we ye?
Speaker 4 (33:00):
I don't yeah, no, yeah, maybe I don't know.
Speaker 2 (33:04):
I didn't put that.
Speaker 4 (33:05):
I didn't invest that much into him, but I just
I just know like he was there saying what he
was saying. It was like whatever, man, like not like
I've dealt with that. It's not a big deal to me.
But the game was over and we were walking everybody
shaking hands, dapping each other. I knew a couple of
dudes on the team that I was so and so forth,
(33:26):
and he looks at me, and I look at him,
and I'm like on some like cool stuff, like I'm
about to like dap him up and like say, you know,
good game. You know whatever. He goes remember what I said,
and I and I hit I hit the hostile black
man button.
Speaker 2 (33:44):
I hit it. Don't make me angry. You wouldn't like
me when I'm angry. I hit it. How often can you?
And then I hit him? How often can you hit
that button?
Speaker 7 (33:53):
Though?
Speaker 4 (33:54):
Oh no, man, you got you gotta know your you
gotta know your limitations. Man, Like, there's certain things you
just it's hard to come back from.
Speaker 5 (34:04):
Yeah, Now, would it be hard to come back from
a team that you feel like you've performed above and
beyond and you're not getting paid the way you want.
Do you think that would be hard to come back from?
Speaker 4 (34:18):
Oh? Man, it's not once you get the deal done.
And I would say I would say, based off of
what you're alluding to, he certainly has proven that he
should be paid. Uh, they should. They will end up
paying him. This will get done, and then I think
(34:39):
all will be it's just moving forward. He's there, you know,
he's there. He seems to be in good spirits. It's
just I think that whatever it is, the process that
these guys take with Dallas, it is what it is,
and you just got to be willing to just go
through the process of it until it gets done.
Speaker 2 (35:01):
But I do believe it'll get done.
Speaker 4 (35:03):
I don't believe just because this has happened before, I
do not believe Micah is looking at this as they
don't want them, or you know, he's going to have
hard feelings towards it. I mean, he might be a
little bit uncomfortable with.
Speaker 2 (35:18):
It right now.
Speaker 4 (35:19):
Possibly maybe, I mean it would be natural for him
to have feelings towards it. But I do believe he,
in his heart of hearts, he does know he's going
to get a contract. It's just a matter of how
big that contract is. Is it the biggest non quarterback
contract or is there going to be a problem because
he came in lower than say TJ.
Speaker 2 (35:39):
Watt. Well, the good news is Jerry Jones did talk
further about the negotiations and actually did pay your guy,
Micah Parsons. A compliment of all.
Speaker 10 (35:51):
The players that I've ever negotiated with, Michael Parson is
as savvy and knowledgeable and understanding of his finac actual
business relative to football as any player there have been
around me.
Speaker 2 (36:05):
You called Michael.
Speaker 4 (36:06):
I mean, when you're that savvy and you're that that
into what it.
Speaker 2 (36:10):
Is, you got called Michael.
Speaker 8 (36:12):
Yes, yes he did, Michael Parson.
Speaker 2 (36:18):
Yeah, is that like a Texas draw though.
Speaker 5 (36:23):
Hard.
Speaker 2 (36:23):
Give you a chance, Give you a chance?
Speaker 8 (36:24):
No, maca maca Michael Parsons.
Speaker 2 (36:32):
There.
Speaker 4 (36:32):
Yeah, I just think that him feeling as though, like
I don't dang, I know the people be been like
LaVar makes things racist on this show. Like I'm gonna
I'm gonna go there. I'm gonna go there because already
already had black hostyle button. Anyway, I'm gonna go. Right,
(36:53):
how many white dudes do you know? Name Micah?
Speaker 2 (36:57):
I actually feel like I have met I've never met
a white man. I know one? Yeah, where's he from?
It's a biblical name, isn't it?
Speaker 4 (37:07):
Is it?
Speaker 7 (37:08):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (37:08):
I thought it was. It's I mean, to Jerry Jones's defense.
Speaker 4 (37:13):
How many of you know? You said, you know something?
I went to school with a kid named Micah? Really yeah,
I've never known one. It's like a lazy Michael. It's
like the parents, you know, didn't fill out the rest
of them. Okay, well that kind of playth into the narrative.
What do you mean, I'm just saying he talked about
how savvy he was the most savvy ever, that does
(37:34):
include every racial group that he's dealt with. Right, So
if you're looking at it from the perspective of how
savvy and how smart he is. I think he was
giving Micah fuck compliment.
Speaker 2 (37:47):
Hey, Coop, could we run with that on uh just point?
Make that the headline. LeVar Arrington says black players negotiate
better than whites.
Speaker 4 (37:56):
No, I didn't say that. I said I said that
Jerry Jones clearly felt like how well he's negotiating. He's
not Micah, He's Michael.
Speaker 5 (38:08):
Do we have the sound on him talking about the
comparison between Michael and ceedee lamb.
Speaker 2 (38:16):
Do we have that sound?
Speaker 6 (38:17):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (38:17):
Was it the one from last week where he was
he was basically talking about all the things that go
wrong way I know.
Speaker 5 (38:29):
There there's there's some interesting quotes. So if you don't
have the sound, I'll read you the quote. But I
just I don't know why he does this. You know,
he he seems to he seems to like bury himself
in these different holes where he says things that have
to take off the players. I mean, one of the
biggest stargust contrasts between the negotiations with Michael Parsons and
(38:55):
and I just thought we have to keep calling Michael
Parsons for the rest of this segment. But I mean
Mike is there, CD held out like he legitimately held out.
So when I look at this, I say, Okay, would
this deal have been done had Mike had not been there,
(39:15):
had he not been present in training camp? Even though
he's trying to do the right thing, he's trying to
avoid fines, he's trying to avoid that whole mess that
comes along with it. So that's you know, that's not
the direction he's gone. Will it ultimately warn him a contract?
Speaker 2 (39:30):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (39:30):
Like when people get upset with players for holding out,
here's a prime example of a dude who's done every
single thing you could ask him to do, and even
in a moment when he's you know, he could be
holding out, he could, he's not, and yet it's not
netting him the result of what he should be compensated
and paid. So I know it stinks for fans to not,
you know, see their favorite player sometimes in training camp.
Speaker 2 (39:53):
It's the only leverage you have as a player.
Speaker 5 (39:56):
You have to show them what life is like when
you are not there, and that that's the greatest thing
you can do. Just kind of put more pressure on
the ownership to get the contract done, and I just
I feel like when you show up, you're playing with you,
you're playing with them, and it just ends up dragging out.
Speaker 2 (40:10):
Do we have the sound? I don't believe. So okay,
So here's the quote. Here's the quote. This is.
Speaker 5 (40:17):
This is in regards to Jerry Jones downplaying the pay
Mica chance that emerged at training camp. I heard it lot,
but not compared to how I heard it. How I
heard them say pay c D.
Speaker 2 (40:29):
Lamb.
Speaker 5 (40:31):
That was a faint little sound compared to the way
they were hollering last year paid Lamb.
Speaker 2 (40:35):
Whoever's not in you can count on a few hollering that.
But it was a big loud chant last year on Lamb.
Speaker 5 (40:41):
Like basically like I don't I don't know why you
have to even compare the two, Like, what's the point?
Speaker 2 (40:47):
That was a great, great quote?
Speaker 4 (40:49):
Those terrible I mean, the voice was funny as that
spot on my Michael Michael was Michael got a faint
one compared to C. D.
Speaker 2 (40:59):
Lamb.
Speaker 4 (41:01):
All I'll say.
Speaker 2 (41:02):
Is And by the way, can I just mention this.
One of the more famous examples of somebody holding out
and using their leverage was Emmett Smith because he held
out and missed two games of the regular season, and
they ended up paying him. And so Jerry's been through
that and apparently just hasn't learned this lesson. I don't
think it's a lesson to be I think he did.
(41:24):
He deals the way he deals, and if it means
going two games into the season with one of your
best players not playing because they don't have a new contract,
then that's what he's willing to do. You want to
hear my strategy on this what I think it is.
Speaker 5 (41:42):
I think it's the fact that we don't want to
talk about the football that's actually been played out there.
We just want to focus on everything else outside of
him exactly. I mean, imagine if we just walked in
as the Dallas Cowboys. Imagine we just walked into camp,
no issue off the field at all, Like, no issue,
we just squarely focused on the football. You'd say, well,
it's been over thirty some years since they won a
(42:03):
Super Bowl. That's our expectation every year. Like wait, this
kind of stinks to be a Dallas Cowboys fan.
Speaker 2 (42:10):
So maybe that is what it is.
Speaker 5 (42:12):
He's like, Hey, guys, we got him, we got him,
We got him, all right, I need me some glory. Hole,
and it's like next thing, next thing, you know, people.
Speaker 2 (42:19):
Are like, what do you say, I want me some glory.
Speaker 5 (42:22):
Yeah, Like, let's not pay attention to the actual football,
the fact we haven't won a Super Bowl over thirty
some years. Let's just go ahead and have these contract issues.
By the time we get to the seas we start
playing games. Jerry's like, phew, I don't have to worry
about that anymore. Now What're playing football games.
