I do know this here at Two Pros and a
Cup of Joe on Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 3 (00:38):
You can find this show as always on the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 4 (00:41):
You can also find us on hundreds of affiliates all
across the country. One of those affiliates is the Blowtorch
AM five to seventy. LA Sports and the City of
Los Angeles and the NFL might have themselves a new star.
And that new star is none other than Trey Lance,
who put the Detroit Lions in a clown suit last
(01:02):
night in the Hall of Fame Game thirteen of twenty
one hundred and twenty yards in the air, two touchdowns,
no picks, Trey Lance dealing last night in Canton, Ohio,
and his coach Jim Harbaugh, spoke about his new star
quarterback following the game.
Speaker 5 (01:23):
Tray, I mean didn't have I mean, he hasn't had
a lot enough game action, you know, and just wanted
to give him that that was the game, the game plan,
you know, get out there and play. He's been playing good,
and you know, college not not as much as most
guys have coming out of college in terms of starts
and games. And then then he gets gets into pro
(01:45):
ball and you know, wins the starting job and then
gets hurt, and so he hasn't had a lot of
a lot of game experience, and that's what we're trying
to get him.
Speaker 1 (01:55):
And he quitted himself well, brand new star in Los Angeles.
Speaker 6 (02:02):
What do you think about that far?
Speaker 3 (02:04):
What do you think about that You're not the only
star in LA anymore?
Speaker 7 (02:06):
Now he's not a star in LA. But he had
a very nice moment. He has a shining moment. There's
possibilities that he could have a few more, you know,
maybe one to two more opportunities to have that light shine,
(02:27):
and good for him. I think that that's a good
thing for Trey Lance. I think it's a great thing
for the Chargers, but I mean, he's the backup, So
let's keep it all into proper perspective, and let's just
understand that while he's getting an opportunity to be able
(02:47):
to show his wares, and he did. That's a positive thing.
But again, I mean, let's not overstate it, you know,
but it's the first game of the year, and he
you know, he put on a show so good.
Speaker 6 (03:02):
That's that's a good thing.
Speaker 8 (03:03):
It's good for me.
Speaker 1 (03:04):
Look, I mean we've seen growth and development from him,
and that's the biggest thing. And you know, Jim Harbaugh
hit on probably the most important part of that is
he has started in his career five games. That's it,
five games and it's heading into year four. So between
the injury, lack of experience, you know, he's been in
(03:25):
three different systems now, between San Francisco, Dallas and the
Los Angeles Chargers.
Speaker 8 (03:30):
It's tough.
Speaker 1 (03:31):
I mean, it's really really tough to be in those
different systems with different verbiage, different languages. You're speaking out there,
throwing the different guys and trying to make it in
the league. You know, everyone at least back how it
used to be when you when you would change schools.
Speaker 8 (03:48):
You know, it was kind of rare, in part.
Speaker 1 (03:50):
Because the transfer portals and NIL and everything else to
go along with it, but also the concern of learning
an offensive system. You know, some of that stuff at
the college level has been simplified so much that's made
it easier for guys to jump around and be able
to pick things up. The NFL hadn't liked that. You know,
you're still learning how to drop with tempo and rhythm.
You're still learning. You know, some of these guys have
(04:11):
never done a seven step drop in their life until
they get in the NFL. And between Kyle Shanahan's system,
Mike McCarthy's system, Jim harbaughs system.
Speaker 8 (04:20):
They're all different.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
And so how they asked you to drop, how they
ask you to read, how they asked you to go
about your cadence, how you're calling the place you know,
and it's little things like people think that something like this,
and I think I've mentioned this before, you know, and
Brian Schottenheimer's system, and I don't know if he's still
doing this down Dallas or not, but if the protection
or the run play was an odd number, it was
on one. If the protection or the run play was
(04:44):
an even number, it was on two automatically. And for
as long as I had played football, and this is
going into year seven in the NFL, but as long
as I had played football, you'd always you always tell
the boys like, hey, you know, on one on one,
ready break, or if it was a hard count, usually
you'd walk in like, hey, boys, listen up, all right.
Speaker 8 (05:03):
Hard three? Now hard three.
Speaker 1 (05:05):
Everyone holds your water and then you say the play
call hard three ready you know, so that it sounds
like something like simple, but I remember that my adjustments
walk in the huddle and like wanting to save the
cadence and shot.
Speaker 8 (05:19):
He was like, no, no, I only say it they already. No.
Speaker 1 (05:21):
I'm like, dude, that would take me a while to
get used to, because usually you walk up the line
of scrimmage and every one of the offensive lineman's asking
They're like, hey, what's the count on?
Speaker 8 (05:29):
You know, what, what's it on? What's it on?
Speaker 1 (05:31):
So you're saying it anyway, But there's just little things
like that that are tough to adjust to. And it's
good to see him on a good path. Now, I
don't want to call it redemption, but I think he's
trying to showcase that. You know, you could say he's
the back of the with the charges, because he is,
but maybe he's not for some other teams out there.
You know, we talked about lead to lapse, you know,
(05:51):
prognosticating him going to the Saints.
Speaker 8 (05:53):
Yeah, maybe that won't be the worst thing, and.
Speaker 6 (05:56):
You might not be the best thing either.
Speaker 3 (05:58):
You might you mentioned this earlier.
Speaker 4 (06:02):
So going back to COVID, when he was at North
Dakota State, he started five games and five years college
and the pros. How can anybody say, oh, we know
who Trey Lance is a quarterback. There's no evidence he's
started five games in five years between college and the pros.
So the idea that well, you know he's you know,
(06:22):
that was just a terrible pick or they want to
use the term bust or whatever they else say, there's
just not enough body of work to be able to
come to that conclusion.
Speaker 7 (06:30):
In my mind, he had a good game. Let's just
live in the moment. There's no reason to not live
in the moment. That's like, that's like if you got
lucky with a with a person out there, you know,
I don't I won't just say a woman because things
are so different these days.
Speaker 6 (06:48):
I mean, I don't want to offend anybody, you know.
Speaker 7 (06:50):
But for me, if I got lucky with a woman
that I didn't think I was going to get lucky
with at one point time in my life and I did,
it doesn't mean just because I got the opportunity and
I perform well, that I'll get another one, or that
she wants to go further with the relationship or anything
like that.
Speaker 8 (07:09):
Don't be that guy because.
Speaker 7 (07:12):
It comes across as weird and you don't want to
weird that lady out. You don't want to weird her
out because you had a good moment and y'all had
a good moment. Just take it for what it's worth,
face value, like text me when you get home, let
me know that you got home safely. Or I'll let
you know I got home safely. Let's like pick it up,
you know, tomorrow or the next day. Like don't play
(07:34):
yourself out, you know, and then when you get there,
you know, you manage expectations like yeah, it was a
good performance and you're welcome and thank you, but I
got to prepare to do it again, and I want
to do it again, and I would like to do
it again, but I don't want you to come to
(07:57):
the conclusion that this is what you should expect from
me every single time.
Speaker 4 (08:04):
Do you think, based on last night's performance, Trey Lance
should hold out the rest of camp for an extension.
Speaker 7 (08:11):
No, he's not in a position to do that either.
You got to keep putting your best foot forward. That's all.
That's all I'm saying. Like, let's just he's he's got
one under his belt, and that's good. That's a start,
you know, you gotta like, you gotta start somewhere. So
he's got he's had a good performance, but just don't
wear it it out like you know, and don't I
(08:33):
don't put that on Trey Lance because I don't think
that it's a Trey Lance thing.
Speaker 6 (08:38):
Right.
Speaker 7 (08:38):
I'm not saying this based upon something I heard Trey
Lance say. I'm just saying, if I'm Trey Lance, it's
like a I'm gonna take a deep breath because I've
been through so much. I've been through disappointment. I've been
through the highs and lows. I mean, I was a
high draft pick. Then it doesn't work out the way
that I wanted to work out, I get injured, I
end up in a different place, I get traded away.
(09:00):
It doesn't work out at the second stop, I get
sent away. You know it's just for me. If I'm
Trey Lance, I'm taking a deep breath. Something really good
happened for me on a stage where we were the
only game being played, so it wasn't a diverting of attention.
It's the first game of the year. People are excited
(09:22):
to see football return. I got an opportunity to play.
I played at a high level. I played well. It's
a building block for me, and it's a positive thing.
It's a positive experience. I want to try to keep stacking.
Speaker 4 (09:34):
Those And for anybody out there that's like, man, you
guys are making much to do about a Hall of
Fame game preseason performance. I mean, what do you want
us to do? We're still waiting around for the WNBA
to either throw a wig or sex toy on the
floor again. I mean, as soon as they do that again,
we'll be back in the WNBA.
Speaker 8 (09:50):
That's a great point. I mean that very valid point.
Speaker 4 (09:53):
By the way, Lee, do we have an update on
how our picks went yesterday? I believe we got three
in if I'm not mistaken on the Hall of Fame.
Speaker 8 (09:59):
Game, I think Jonas did pretty well.
Speaker 9 (10:01):
I don't just ga that that is correct, And that
might have only been because we only got three in
a not a usual five.
Speaker 6 (10:07):
But that's okay, Hey, that's okay.
Speaker 9 (10:10):
Well, and you did just so, and you did more
than okay, Jonas, because we had the over under set
at thirty two and a half, and of course Chargers
were able to hold take care of that by themselves
in the thirty four to seven wins, so we hit
the over, Jonas being the only one to take the
over in that game. Lions had the point and a
half favorite, and of course, as we just said, Chargers
destroyed that and Jonas and LeVar both had Chargers were
(10:31):
heavy on that one.
Speaker 6 (10:32):
Good john Var and Jonah money lined you did? You
did the money line all that one? All right?
Speaker 9 (10:36):
The six picks on and then Trey Lance touchdowns we
had one and a half. We fit that in there,
and he did get to. Jonas was the only one
with the over on that. So Jonas starting strong.
Speaker 7 (10:48):
Threeel like I should be tied because I did money line,
I got one. Maybe he got well, Jonas, you might
have got one more than even if I not picked
the Chargers.
Speaker 6 (11:00):
No you did, huh you did?
Speaker 9 (11:04):
Yeah, yeah, you laid the troits.
Speaker 8 (11:07):
Yeah you took the points with Detroit was favorite.
Speaker 6 (11:10):
Yep, yeah.
Speaker 4 (11:13):
Free Like when you ask those questions, are you are
you doubting Lee's accuracy in some of these some of the.
Speaker 1 (11:19):
Yeah, We've We've had to go back through at times
and I'm like, oh my bad. I was eating shaved
ice in between and I and I had to fart,
and then I crapped my pants and now I.
Speaker 4 (11:31):
Flee just said it made me a question myself, like
now leaves starting a second guest, Lee, trust.
Speaker 8 (11:36):
Me, you should always second guess yourself. I wouldn't say
that to everyone. I would definitely say it to you.
Speaker 7 (11:40):
Though always that's an inaccurate piece of advice either I would.
I would seriously like consider that.
Speaker 6 (11:48):
Do it three times.
Speaker 4 (11:49):
By the way, Brady was trying to Brady was trying
to talk me into taking Detroit minus two and a half.
Speaker 8 (11:53):
Oh, don't lie, don't you lie?
Speaker 1 (11:55):
You a whole We were talking last night on the
phone during the game, and You're like thinking about the
land in the second half of the Lives who You're
a codebec.
Speaker 8 (12:03):
Don't you project on me? You couldn't.
Speaker 1 (12:06):
You couldn't help yourself and have a good night. You
had to pick a loser in the second half.
Speaker 8 (12:10):
D You're just you're drawn down to it, you know.
Speaker 4 (12:12):
The On the subject of quarterback performances last night, we
could talk about Trey Lance, Kyle Allen.
Speaker 8 (12:19):
That was a good hey man.
Speaker 1 (12:22):
I'm telling you, a new offensive system, new coordinator. They're
trying to find their identity, trying to figure out how
they want to play. I was actually curious to see
Djui on the LA get a chance to kind of
redeem too.
Speaker 8 (12:35):
Some of the thoughts about him.
Speaker 1 (12:36):
I think people remember when he was early on at Clemson,
they viewed him as one of those top prospects. He
was one of the top prospects in his class come
out of high school, and then after going to Florida
State and then Oregon State, like nothing really materialized for him,
even though he had a better year at Oregon State.
But I think the general point is, you know, I
just he's a player too, very similar to Trey Lance.
(12:58):
I think, still trying to prove himself, and he's got
all the tools that intangibles, So maybe Jim Harbaugh can
work his magic not only on Trey Lance but also
on dj Us he gets more playing time this preseason.
Speaker 7 (13:10):
I mean, there's not been a dope quarterback in the league.
Speaker 6 (13:16):
From Clemson that I don't even think of.
Speaker 7 (13:21):
Well, I don't think there's ever been a super dope
ass quarterback from Clemson.
Speaker 8 (13:25):
What do you mean Watson and Trevor Lawrence.
Speaker 7 (13:27):
I mean, I don't think there's ever been like a
super dope quarterback.
Speaker 3 (13:35):
The way was it was it Charlie Whitehurst.
Speaker 6 (13:38):
Whitehurst is from there.
Speaker 8 (13:40):
He's pretty good.
Speaker 3 (13:40):
Yeah, Charlie Whitehurst pretty good quarterback. Jesus pretty good.
Speaker 8 (13:47):
I mean I go to say super dope, but pretty good.
Speaker 4 (13:50):
You know, hey, name kind of random, but Kid Club Nick,
where does he stack in your QB rankings?
Speaker 8 (13:57):
Stacked? And Jack Jonas, No, he'll be right up there.
Speaker 1 (14:01):
This is as I said before, you know, if Arch
one to come out, depending on how this year goes,
Drew Aler, k Club Nick, Leonora Sellers and you're going
down the line, there's a lot of guys who are
going to be, you know, talked about the next year's
drift class for quarterbacks. If you're one of the team
that needs one, you're gonna be able.
Speaker 6 (14:19):
To address it, so runs pretty well. Yeah.
Speaker 8 (14:23):
Well Carson Beck by the way, like like, don't sleep
on him.
Speaker 1 (14:26):
I know a lot of people wrote him off after
how he played last year at Georgia now at Miami.
But I mean, I'm just telling you, if that kid
can put it together, he can sling it around too.
Speaker 8 (14:36):
Yeah, that could be. That could be another prospect.
Speaker 3 (14:38):
Plus his uh, his girlfriend's got new ornaments so nice.
Speaker 8 (14:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (14:42):
Really, yeah, it's.
Speaker 1 (14:45):
Have we confirmed if that's really as far as John Ruiz,
the big donor at the University of Miami, purchasing implants
for the Cavender Twins, Yeah, that was a internet rumor.
We're not gonna spread anything at the risk of getting sued.
Speaker 6 (15:03):
Don't say we. I didn't say anything about this.
Speaker 8 (15:06):
No, I'm not spreading this.
Speaker 1 (15:08):
I'm asking if this is true because it was a
report online.
Speaker 7 (15:12):
But man, if they did do that up, great, I
mean I'm not mad at them for certain.
Speaker 6 (15:17):
There's some impressive twins. You know. The reason why I.
Speaker 8 (15:20):
Don't get true.
Speaker 1 (15:22):
Someone had said that, like Carson Bech just wasn't himself.
I think Jonah sent me this.
Speaker 3 (15:26):
I know you said it to me. No, don't put
you that.
Speaker 8 (15:31):
I didn't even know anything about something something along the
lines like Carson Bech just wasn't himself.
Speaker 1 (15:35):
So they he got back together his ex girlfriend and
they also and.
Speaker 7 (15:39):
Well, Q, you are the one that's it. Love steals careers.
I mean that was you multiple shows too, by the way,
really just saying you said love and ball is that
they do not That's that's oil and water.
Speaker 6 (15:55):
That's what I've heard from you.
Speaker 3 (15:57):
Nothing nothing good to.
Speaker 7 (15:59):
Say, Nothing positive they have to say about being an
elite player after finding love.
Speaker 8 (16:06):
Yeah no, no, no, not finding love after getting married. It's
entirely different conversation.
Speaker 6 (16:11):
Yeah, I mean the same thing.
Speaker 8 (16:13):
I don't know about that. But there are if I.
Speaker 6 (16:15):
Love you, I'm marrying you.
Speaker 4 (16:16):
You know there there are college football fans, and they
are college football fans who will buy their quarterback's girlfriend
new headlights.
Speaker 7 (16:24):
I was just gonna say, I mean, would you be
comfortable with somebody purchasing your chicks.
Speaker 6 (16:31):
Ornaments?
Speaker 8 (16:32):
As you guys would.
Speaker 3 (16:32):
Say, and why not?
Speaker 6 (16:34):
You'd be all right with it?
Speaker 3 (16:35):
Yeah, those are like at least ten grand.
Speaker 7 (16:37):
I mean, is there a deal that comes along with that?
Like I purchased them, like technically like they're like mine,
like and I borrow them sometimes if you do want
to get.
Speaker 3 (16:47):
The other one free.
Speaker 1 (16:48):
Dang, I was gonna ask the question, is there if
there's ever been a debate of who's actually like bigger
fans of their team's.
Speaker 8 (17:01):
College dominated over this is This is a prime example.
It's not even close.
Speaker 1 (17:06):
It's over you name me, You name me an NFL
fan that's willing to donate as much as they can
to a roster, pay recruits and prospects and all that,
or or even going to lengths like this.
Speaker 8 (17:18):
If this is true. Again, if this is true, any update.
Speaker 9 (17:22):
I cannot find a second or third source to confirm.
But yes, that is rumored. That is John Ruiz who
did that get them back together?
Speaker 7 (17:30):
That is the most gangster ish I have heard in
quite some time.
Speaker 8 (17:37):
Dang, I don't know, though, do you want to set
that precedent?
Speaker 1 (17:40):
I feel like if you do it for one place,
and it's like everybody's walking up with their girl, like,
Hey John, if you rember me, next me.
Speaker 7 (17:47):
Next Cannons, Hey me too, me too, Hammers. I mean,
you get up, you get a pair, You get a pair.
Speaker 4 (18:05):
I think the other the other part of it, which
might lead to it not being the most accurate report
out there. Is that part of that was that the
sister also got new g also got implants as well too,
Like you took care of both of them.
Speaker 1 (18:19):
Well, I think they're both had been doing seminile stuff
for Johnui.
Speaker 7 (18:23):
Now, I mean, you don't want to create any type
of division or divide between twins. So what one would
get in the scenario, the other ones should get too.
That's only fair.
Speaker 1 (18:35):
They've been doing a partnership with Life Wallet, which is
Ruis's company.
Speaker 6 (18:40):
They've packed their wallets.
Speaker 4 (18:43):
Well, listen, I know this at the home depot. It
is about time for pros to source the whole job
with one partner. Ask about all we can do for
you at the pro desk the Home Depot, Pro, It's
about time. Coming up next here on Two Pros and
a Couple of Jobs, we are going to tell you
about what could have been for one quarterback in the
(19:05):
NFL right here on FSR.

Speaker 7 (19:37):
Can I ask you guys a question? Yeah, go finish
to finish what you were going to say though, go ahead?
Speaker 3 (19:42):
No, I mean, it was just promoting up proper formatics.
Speaker 6 (19:46):
Here, promoting a formatic I did, okay out Baby?
Speaker 7 (19:50):
Would you rather chocolate like dipping chocolate like chocolate fondue,
or would you rather like brit or like veggies going
into cheese.
Speaker 8 (20:04):
Chocolate?
Speaker 6 (20:05):
You rather chocolate?
Speaker 8 (20:06):
Yeah, I don't even think it's close.
Speaker 3 (20:08):
Really, I'd rather do I'd rather do veggies and cheese.
Speaker 6 (20:14):
Lorena, Lee, what are you dipping in the chocolate fruit?
Speaker 7 (20:19):
Yeah?
Speaker 8 (20:19):
I mean whatever you want.
Speaker 3 (20:20):
I don't cheese. I like, but I don't dip veggies
into cheese. But you've been doing it for a long time.
Speaker 8 (20:27):
How Yeah, I mean, LaVar, I told you so. I
just I see veggies.
Speaker 1 (20:32):
I don't I don't put any cheese or anything on
Like some people have, you know, eating problems, they'll they'll
want to take those vegetables but cheese on them, and
that's what like Jonas does so.
Speaker 7 (20:42):
But I'm just saying, if you're faun doing, if you're
faun doing, do you want to do cheese or chocolate
or do you want to do like the the broth
based Like would you do rather do meats and the
broth based fun doing? Oh?
Speaker 6 (20:55):
I'd rather do that?
Speaker 4 (20:56):
Could I could I swap out the chocolate for like
a protein drink?
Speaker 6 (21:01):
Like like what? I don't know, Like you know, you're
trying to be funny, like.
Speaker 1 (21:08):
You're such a big protein guy. You can't even name
a brand, and I want big of a protein milk?
You want to muscle milk fond now?
Speaker 4 (21:16):
Yes, yeah, I mean if you want to do as
that's fine. I'm not going to give any uh sponsor
opportunities to uh a protein company that's not going to
sponsor the show.
Speaker 7 (21:25):
I'm just saying that what what would you want to
fond do? In terms of protein? I mean, I don't
I got one for you. Have you guys ever tried
those perfect protein bars there? That's like literally just stay
wondering the break. Those things are amazing. That's interesting because
I was just telling Lorraina I had one of those
streep waffles during the break and they're so goody are
(21:50):
so good man, especially when when they're room temperature waffle.
Speaker 6 (22:01):
They're amazing.
Speaker 8 (22:03):
Sometimes getting them on flights, they'll give them to you
as a snack and you can put them over your
coffee and they look like a waffle and they dipped
in chocolate and they're du.
Speaker 6 (22:12):
God, oh god.
Speaker 8 (22:14):
It's like a dessert though, right, that's not an actual.
Speaker 7 (22:18):
It's like a breakfast item, like it goes with your coffee.
Speaker 6 (22:22):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (22:22):
I mean if you feel like, if you lack discipline,
I guess those are pretty good.
Speaker 8 (22:28):
I mean, if you want to be a fat ass,
you know I am. I am obese.
Speaker 7 (22:34):
This is why I deal with weight issues. I guess
I don't know, but it was. It was a strewp waffles.
Speaker 8 (22:41):
We went out last night.
Speaker 1 (22:42):
You went out last night, and now you're making support
eating decisions.
Speaker 8 (22:47):
We all do it. Last night. You know who I
was hanging with.
Speaker 7 (22:51):
We talked at length about you. He freaking loves you.
DJ's here, we're DJs hanging out with me. You know
we're doing some stuff together. DJ Williams, Yes.
Speaker 8 (23:02):
That's my guy.
Speaker 6 (23:03):
He is one.
Speaker 8 (23:04):
He is I'll say this, he is one. He's a
great businessman.
Speaker 1 (23:08):
Uh and what he's built with dime life and stuff
that he's going for a lot of the college's merch
is pretty impressive. But he is one of the funniest human.
Speaker 6 (23:16):
Beings I have ever met.
Speaker 1 (23:19):
Like, someone needs to hire him because that will be wild.
Speaker 8 (23:25):
I would, dude, you don't understand.
Speaker 1 (23:28):
You gotta have him tell him to tell you the
story how he lost his car one time and it
was quite possibly the funniest thing I've ever heard of
my life. So maybe we can call him and and
But the problem is he always claims he's got CTEs
as he would say the CTEs, so he can't like
recall some of these stories and things that happened to him,
(23:51):
even though I don't tell the story. But we need
to have him come on once a week just to
tell a story, because he is he is amazing.
Speaker 6 (23:57):
He had rolling last night. It was pretty funny.
Speaker 1 (24:02):
And that's how BA way, that's how I know you're
you're blessing because if you're with Genos right and then
knows DJ knows his alter egos genos, you were going
out for a good time, so don't don't bless me
right now with that.
Speaker 8 (24:13):
We did not go out. Are so fully at the hotel.
Speaker 7 (24:18):
Hey, bro, you know me, you've been out with me.
I don't go out. I don't do anything. I'm like
the most boringest dude.
Speaker 3 (24:28):
In the world.
Speaker 6 (24:28):
Man, what are we going to do? Go to the
hotel bar? When have you? Like one time?
Speaker 7 (24:34):
Okay, I can't really, I was like, okay, let's go out,
know Iowa like, let's walk around the corner.
Speaker 6 (24:40):
And we didn't even.
Speaker 8 (24:41):
Walk that far, which it was closed. We did not.
Speaker 6 (24:44):
I don't.
Speaker 1 (24:45):
I don't think we made around the corner. I think
we walked diagonally through the streets.
Speaker 11 (24:48):
Bar.
Speaker 8 (24:49):
Yeah, right there you go.
Speaker 6 (24:50):
I do not. If it's one thing I don't do,
I don't take many chances. I don't do it.
Speaker 1 (24:55):
It's a hotel bar, though public, because it's not a
private place, so it's kind of.
Speaker 8 (24:59):
Like riv placed.
Speaker 7 (25:00):
It's just it's a false sense of security. It just
feels safer.
Speaker 6 (25:05):
I don't leave.
Speaker 3 (25:06):
It's an em right there.
Speaker 7 (25:09):
Nobody's you can't say I'm publicly intoxicated, Sir I'm going
to the elevator. I'm going to my room to sleep
it off. I'm good, like you. Ain't got to get
all crazy with me.
Speaker 6 (25:19):
I'm good.
Speaker 1 (25:21):
I want to transition to something because I sent a
text last night and I want to do something LeVar
with you and Jonas. I don't know though, if Lee's
prepared for this, because he never responded back, which is
usually an awful signed.
Speaker 6 (25:33):
Lee, that's not good.
Speaker 1 (25:35):
Did you get my text last night about the segment
I was trying to get you to do?
Speaker 6 (25:40):
I did, and I uh, I did not chose I did,
and I chose to ignore you.
Speaker 1 (25:48):
Well, we'll transition quickly then to something else as we
tap dance here. But this was gonna be a second
So LeVar, did you know that because I asked actually
when I called Jonas about this, and he wasn't aware either.
Speaker 8 (26:02):
Do you know Justin Herbert has a brother in the NFL?
Speaker 6 (26:05):
I did not.
Speaker 1 (26:06):
Yeah, So Patrick Herbert is a tight end I believe
for the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Speaker 8 (26:11):
And what we're gonna do.
Speaker 1 (26:13):
Is, at some point when Lee can figure this out,
we're gonna pull sound from both Justin and Patrick.
Speaker 8 (26:19):
I said him.
Speaker 1 (26:19):
The sound on Patrick, So wouldn't be that hard. Okay,
but we're gonna pull the sound. Then you got to
try to differentiate if it's Justin or Patrick because they
sound the exact same. Yes, like it is like they're twins,
but they're obviously not.
Speaker 4 (26:32):
So what do you so? What if you had to guess?
Why do you think Lee didn't have this prepared? What
do you think happened?
Speaker 6 (26:38):
He was having icies? No, hiding in the bathroom.
Speaker 8 (26:44):
Whatever he says he was doing, he's probably lying.
Speaker 6 (26:46):
About it anyway.
Speaker 7 (26:47):
So I was at the band, he was at the
bar there you got people so much, bro.
Speaker 1 (26:55):
Hold on, Lee, you said you haven't drank all week,
although you just text to me you're at the bar.
Speaker 8 (27:01):
I just said, yeah, I got some food at the bar.
Speaker 6 (27:04):
I got some we I got some chicken at the bar.
Speaker 8 (27:08):
Drink it all.
Speaker 3 (27:13):
Just be myself to hold on and preparing this segment.
Speaker 4 (27:16):
Hold on, Lee, did you uh buzz the tower while
you were picking up food from the bar.
Speaker 3 (27:20):
Do you have a little uh little Yeah?
Speaker 6 (27:23):
I did.
Speaker 3 (27:23):
Yeah, Yeah, that's like going to it. So you did
drink food and not looking at the strippers? Right, So
you did drink Yeah, I guess they did I love how.
Speaker 1 (27:32):
People were like, don't get up set on social media
about the wholy like Lee lies. Folks lead lies all
the time. Like we're trying to explain it. We're trying
to help it. Don't get out us. We are trying
to live productive lives. We're trying to help Lee. You
the same, trying to be a productive member of society.
Speaker 3 (27:50):
Hey, LeVar, do you believe anything he says?
Speaker 6 (27:52):
Not one thing? Not one thing?
Speaker 7 (27:55):
And it's like, the weirdest thing is it's not even
opposite of the true. So it's not like you could
be like, okay, think opposite of what he's saying, because
there's no logic in the lies that he tails. There's
it flows off so easily. I don't know where he's at.
I don't know where the truth is located within him
(28:16):
telling the lies that he tails.
Speaker 6 (28:18):
You just don't know. I don't know.
Speaker 1 (28:19):
All right, this is this is probably not gonna go
because Lee is thrown together in the last two minutes
we've been talking and tap dancing around this. Oh come on,
at his expense, I may add, but yeah, all right
it Lava imaa start off with you. All right, We're
gonna play sound and again, hopefully Lee cut.
Speaker 8 (28:35):
Out the name again.
Speaker 1 (28:37):
Cooper Patrick Patrick Herbert is the brother of the tight end,
Justin obviously the quarterback. Okay, but we're gonna play a
little bit of sound, and you have to guess Patrick
or Justin.
Speaker 6 (28:47):
All right, let's go, Mike.
Speaker 11 (28:49):
He's always been there for us, and you know we're
gonna be there for him. It's it's obviously a tough situation,
and you know, I've got so much respect for him
as a teammate, as a friend.
Speaker 1 (28:57):
All right, cut the sound, all right? Which isn't let's
here the next one. No, no, no, no, no, you have
to guess which brother it is.
Speaker 8 (29:05):
I just thought that sound.
Speaker 7 (29:06):
I've never heard the other one. I can't really say
I've ever heard the first one. I've never heard Justin.
To be honest, if I'm gonna take a guess, I'm
going to say Cooper because Cooper.
Speaker 6 (29:18):
What's his name again, Pat Cooper? Patrick?
Speaker 2 (29:21):
I just.
Speaker 7 (29:23):
Yeah, I just heard Cooper in my name, that's Patrick.
Because I do not believe that Lee in the way
that his mind works, this is more based off of
Lee than it is off of their voices. He's going
with Patrick first, Okay.
Speaker 8 (29:38):
Which is my oldest brother. Was a great athlete too,
So it was all three of us.
Speaker 6 (29:43):
That's justin.
Speaker 8 (29:45):
See I got them, trick them.
Speaker 6 (29:48):
They're both Patrick?
Speaker 8 (29:51):
Which what what was it? Lee?
Speaker 3 (29:55):
Second one?
Speaker 6 (29:56):
What?
Speaker 8 (29:57):
All right?
Speaker 3 (29:58):
Patrick is the younger brothers he was this one who
was the first one? Justin?
Speaker 1 (30:02):
Okay, all right, Lee, do you have any more sound
to play for Jonas now? Or did you just empty
the clips there?
Speaker 9 (30:08):
Every SoundBite you sent me is him talking about his brother.
Speaker 8 (30:12):
Can we all just yeah, but we don't know which
brother's talking about? Which brother? Older brother?
Speaker 7 (30:17):
So had I even known who these people are outside
of him being a quarterback, I would have known he's
the older brother of Patrick.
Speaker 3 (30:25):
All right, I'll just do those ones at LeVar guests.
Speaker 4 (30:27):
Just give me those and I'll try it myself.
Speaker 6 (30:32):
We can't hear it.
Speaker 11 (30:37):
And there's a we could you know, as a receiver,
as a player, and you know the man that he is.
We're just gonna be there for him.
Speaker 8 (30:44):
And however, yeah, that's justin.
Speaker 3 (30:47):
Yeah, that's Cooper.
Speaker 8 (30:49):
No it's not.
Speaker 7 (30:52):
And then it's Patrick the other team I would typically lose.
Speaker 8 (30:55):
I was the youngest. That's Patrick. There you go, damn
great job. We couldn't.
Speaker 1 (31:05):
We couldn't trade a monkey to do that fast something.
Speaker 8 (31:09):
Somebody has our lunch break.
Speaker 7 (31:12):
Our lunch break is before the rest of the school
takes there. That's all I'm gonna say. The teacher is
rounding us up. We're about to get in a single
foul line and go to lunch. Our lunch is longer
than everybody else is in school, and we have a
early dismissal. Oh my god, I mean, break the hell.
Speaker 8 (31:36):
I'm just I'm just glad we got the truth from
the bar got in the way doing his job.
Speaker 6 (31:41):
I forgot about the bar.
Speaker 8 (31:43):
We know you did you know? I went to go
get chicken wings.
Speaker 3 (31:46):
I haven't been drinking this week.
Speaker 7 (31:48):
I forgot about the most short bust brat and my
segment that has ever happened.
Speaker 6 (31:55):
In wings correction and paid for any drinks this week.
That about that?
Speaker 1 (32:02):
Okay, that's that's more truthful. And there's no way you
didn't drink on delivery Wednesday.
Speaker 8 (32:06):
So let's just put it this way. Lead, you were
three for three. No one believes that you didn't drink Wednesdays.
Speaker 6 (32:11):
I didn't drink Wednesday or Monday. I didn't know nobody
producer of a radio show either.
Speaker 8 (32:18):
Oh elite, red wine does count.
Speaker 1 (32:20):
You can't drink red wine as a nightcap and not
count that as drinking.
Speaker 6 (32:25):
I cannot rate wine.
Speaker 12 (32:30):
Boom boom bottom, Just give your heads up time bottom
boom bob my.
Speaker 8 (32:36):
Session the text at nine to thirty last night, my ten.
That's six thirty year time I missed it.
Speaker 12 (32:42):
Boom boom bonum bottom bomb bom bottom bottom boom boom bomb.
Speaker 3 (32:48):
Wait.
Speaker 4 (32:48):
Way to hold firmly, Way to hold firm, way.
Speaker 6 (32:54):
To hold.
Speaker 3 (32:56):

Speaker 10 (34:02):
These might smell a little funk, sounds incredible, but they're
still good.
Speaker 3 (34:07):
Time to find out. What's lap?
Speaker 8 (34:10):
It's Lee's lap, Yonders.
Speaker 3 (34:12):
All right, the laugh? What do we got?
Speaker 9 (34:13):
Will you just heard the voice and the sounds of
the Grateful Dead? And Jerry Garcia it's his birthday today.
He would have been eighty three. Of course he passed
away thirty years ago, ninety five. But the reason we
played is because I put it in the notes earlier
in the week. Is that Oregon football is preparing for
their Grateful Ducks game October twenty fifth, versus Wisconsin, where
they're encouraging fans to wear tied I for a tightie
out game. Now people are cornyus are wondering if maybe
(34:37):
they might be a debut in a Tide uniform for
that game. That'd be pretty cool.
Speaker 6 (34:41):
No, it would, would it be though?
Speaker 3 (34:44):
No kind of.
Speaker 1 (34:45):
I mean, I will say this organ does some cool
stuff in the uniforms. It's been catchy to the players
and the kids and maybe even to the fans. I mean,
it's brilliant in the sense of you have more jerseys
to sell to their fan base. But I'm a traditionalist,
you know. I look at someone like Penn States. Those
are Penn State whites. Those all whites. Clinton's uniform out there. Yeah,
(35:05):
I'm not just saying that because we work together.
Speaker 7 (35:06):
The LeVar voways, No, I get it. You don't get it.
I don't get the BS or type from you. So yeah,
I take it.
Speaker 6 (35:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (35:14):
I mean, if you've got to do something over and
over and over again, clearly you're not happy with the
result of whatever your decision was. So now I want
to let's just do a tie diversion. Not interesting?
Speaker 6 (35:27):
Are you gonna have tie down the helmet too?
Speaker 7 (35:29):
I mean, they probably gonna whoop the hell out of
whoever it is that they're playing. And then how does
that makesconsin Yes, I almost feel like you're setting yourself
up with Wisconsin because Wisconsin has to fight their asses
off more than they ever have in their entire life.
Because who wants to be the team that lost to
(35:50):
the tie dye colored football team.
Speaker 6 (35:52):
I don't want to be that guy that's bulletin board
material right there.
Speaker 7 (35:57):
Which, by the way, DJ talked about Penn State, you know,
coming into the game having Adam Tyler Farrow walk out
with the flag after he was able to overcome an
injury and walk after being paralyzed, and he was like,
we don't want to be We don't want to be
that team. We don't want to come in here and
be the team that they celebrated on and brought him out.
I just don't think you want to be the tad
(36:17):
I losing team. That's not a history that you want
to make.
Speaker 3 (36:21):
What else you got, Lee?
Speaker 9 (36:22):
An object named three I Atlas is hurtling towards Earth
at extreme speeds, coming from outside of our solar system.
Some think it might be an alien probe.
Speaker 8 (36:35):
So yeah, take a look at that.
Speaker 3 (36:36):
Where'd you see that story? I don't know.
Speaker 1 (36:38):
It's actually reservicing everywhere?
Speaker 8 (36:41):
Are you guys? Not like aware of the potential that
this could just it's all over, like two years.
Speaker 3 (36:45):
I just didn't know.
Speaker 7 (36:46):
I thought I thought that they're going to send one
alien probe, why not send a whole bunch.
Speaker 4 (36:50):
I just didn't know that Lee had found that story.
I thought somebody else had found that story.
Speaker 6 (36:54):
And who are these people?
Speaker 8 (36:59):
White people, what people?
Speaker 6 (37:01):
Golly, have a great weekend, everyone,
