means and why it applies to Week one in the
National Football League. We got more Zoom stream yard issues here.

(00:23):
We're trying to figure out why the screen keeps going dark,
and we're going to talk about Lee being Goodwill Hunting
not the movie The Shopper plus Petros Papadeca stops by,
and we've got our Midweek Awards.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
It's all yours.

We'll take you all the way up until nine am
Eastern time six o'clock Pacific.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
Break.

Speaker 3 (01:42):
All I'm gonna say is, the computers are kind of
given Lee a bad rap. I'm convinced today it's the
computers and it's not Lee.

Speaker 4 (01:55):
Okay, Hey, what makes you feel that way?

Speaker 3 (01:58):
I'm gonna say this too. I'm also his his screen
is blank. He has no action on the screen right now.
But also we start having really cool conversations with Ben
when we're transitioning in and out because you know, we're
not the type of show where we have our own
studio or anything like that. We we're communal, communal based operations.

(02:18):
So as you can tell Likedom Screwdriver. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
you know some of the left and we happen to be,
like Ben, one of the shows that is at one
of those hours where well it's kind of we're the
only ones working, you know, like other people aren't working now,

(02:39):
so you could tell that this is a place that's
active you know during the day. That was my strap
that just fell active during the day. Yeah, that's the burner.
It hit the floor. That's I get it. I'm in
the middle of a point. You carry a burner with you.
I carry my burner, bruh everywhere you go pretty much

(03:00):
as stayed strapped.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
Bro. There are coyotes and homeless people in this parking
ground and they can all get it and came at
me last week.

Speaker 5 (03:07):
Yeah, they can all just coyotes in the parking Oh yeah,
everywhere they be.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
They be patrolling this bad boy.

Speaker 5 (03:12):
And so gold on are the coyotes going after the
homeless people?

Speaker 6 (03:18):
Uh?

Speaker 3 (03:18):
I think they're working together. Actually they're in cahoots. Interesting, Yeah,
they're all together. So anyway, you know, and been called
me Lamar this morning too. That has really really ruined
my life. Telling you Lamar Jackson has really really ruined
my life. But anyway, so we had great exchanges. But
Ben is a big dude, so you can't really where

(03:41):
he's standing and wrapping up what he's doing.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
He kind of he kind of blocks what you're able
to do a little bit.

Speaker 3 (03:52):
I mean he's tall, he's super tall, like, so his
wing span is out there, you know, and you're trying
to ruin my bits.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
You're trying to ruin turn it into another one. I'm
not doing anything, okay Cox anyway.

Speaker 3 (04:09):
Anyway, So Lee's limited on what he's able to do
because I'm standing in one area trying, you know, I
wait for Ben to clear out and we're talking, and
then Lee's kind of trying to get around. So he
doesn't really have a lot of time before the like
it's like fifty six fifty seven, you know, before Lee

(04:30):
is really able to like get onto the computer, so
he doesn't have a lot of time to trouble shoes.
What I'm getting, I'm actually showing I'm showing Lee some
love this morning. There's some love for Lee. He doesn't
have a whole lot of time to try to pull things.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
Yeah, I told you I'm Lee.

Speaker 1 (04:46):
Now.

Speaker 2 (04:46):
I ain't gonna say every day.

Speaker 3 (04:48):
I'm not gonna say every day I am not team Lee,
but I'm show him a little love right now.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (04:57):
Well listen, Uh, you're stupid by you got Probably you
were thinking the same thing, did not till you said
until you started smirking, dude, that little weird ass smirker.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
It's just you know, I look, I said it yesterday.

Speaker 1 (05:14):
I think that the the zoom slash stream yard era
of the show has been one of the funny remarkable
that I've been apart.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
It's pretty funny.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
That's really it's really turned this whole thing upside down.

Speaker 2 (05:28):
So but I gave him some love.

Speaker 3 (05:29):
Today, all right, So there we go, Yeah, all right,
hell yeah, Well Anthony Richardson didn't get any love. Lee's
still a starter, Yeah, yeah, no competition.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
Lee's hey, Lie's a starter. Uh. And Anthony Richardson is not.

Speaker 1 (05:44):
Based on yesterday's news out of Indianapolis that the Colts
have named Daniel Jones QB one, here was Colt's head
coach Shane Steichen talking about why Anthony Richardson is not
the starter and why he ultimately went with the ANDW
Jones is the guy.

Speaker 7 (06:01):
I think he's a veteran guy that's been around the
block and seeing a few things and seeing how he
interacts with his teammates and how they've taken to him
and how he's taken to them. I think he's done
a really nice job, and I think the guys are
excited for his opportunity. We got a good group around
him overall our football team offensively, the weapons we have
that I feel that he can be successful.

Speaker 2 (06:19):
In ar was great.

Speaker 7 (06:20):
He knows that he still needs to develop and learn,
and he knows that he's one play away.

Speaker 3 (06:25):
Why do you think you all can win with Daniel
when his career record isn't good and the last time
we saw him play football for the Giants it wasn't good.

Speaker 7 (06:32):
Well, I think that he's proven that he's played good
football in that twenty twenty two season. You know, he
had a hell of a year that year. I think
that was the highest completion rate in Giants franchise history
that season. So he's proven to do it. I know
he's had his ups and downs, but everyone's journey's different,
and feel confident in his abilities.

Speaker 1 (06:51):
So like a little bit of a loaded question or
a leading question there from whoever asked that about Danny.

Speaker 5 (06:56):
You're telling me the Colts fans don't sound excited about this.
We're trying to help me, I.

Speaker 2 (07:01):
Mean talk about Yeah.

Speaker 5 (07:04):
Well, here's the problem is Colts fans, unfortunately, going into
the season, they knew what they were dealing with. It's
one of the reason why teams don't mind running through
you know, rookie quarterbacks, drafting them, playing them, burn you know,
toss them to the side, go with the next you know,
next year's class, because it creates hope and optimism. It's
like people tend to like that thing in the box,

(07:26):
the mystery box. I mean Lee picks the mystery box.
He get the mystery beer half the time, and it's
purely because of the surprise element to it. Even though
he got screwed in Arizona. Remember Lee, you kept getting
that same beer.

Speaker 2 (07:38):
Yeah, rid of it.

Speaker 4 (07:40):
It was like, yeah, the brown a on the bag.
I digress though, Belly.

Speaker 5 (07:50):
The problem is with Richardson, you kind of know what
you're gonna get based on what you've seen. It's been injuries,
it's been inconsistent play. I mean, he's think about this.
Shane Steiken wouldn't have to go any further than just
talking about his issues being able to complete passes and

(08:11):
move the sticks. I mean there he's completing like forty
two percent of his pass on third down. So for
as great of a talent as he is and as
much upside as there still is, and he's twenty three
years old, he is younger than like Tyler Schuck just
got drafted in the NFL. You could probably name off
six seven other quarterbacks who maybe have either been in

(08:31):
the league for a year or or just got drafted
league he's younger. Then that's what's wild is he still
has so much potential ability. The problem is they just
don't have time for him to develop, meaning Shane Stiken
and Chris Ballard. Don't you know, even though it's still
keeping in the family with mister Jim Irsay passing away,
it's still someone else in a different ownership group in control.

(08:55):
And if you think they don't want to put their
stamp on it, you're out of your mind. Anytime there's
a change in ownership, they want to put their own
stamp on things. They want to be working with people
that they trust, they know they hired, and then they
can fire. In this case, that's not really the situation
with Shane Styke and Chris Ballard. He's been there for
a long time and unfortunately as general manager you can

(09:17):
probably pick and choose your spots where he's drafted well,
but they haven't. They haven't won a division championship. So
I understand the stinks for Colts fans because they're looking
at what Daniel Jones was with the Giants. But I
think you're hoping optimism has to be that this is
going to be like a Geno Smith type resurrection. You know,
he's going to be able to turn things around how

(09:38):
they've looked in the past, fit into Shane Steikens system,
and with some of the talent they do have to
help this team win football games.

Speaker 2 (09:45):
It's very possible.

Speaker 3 (09:46):
If Jonathan Taylor stays healthy, he's the equivalent of a
sa Kwon Barkley to Daniel Jones. He's a dynamic running back.
He can catch the ball. I mean, he has talent,
and when Daniel Jones had success, it was because the

(10:07):
offense heavily relied on and went through the running back.
So he has a talented enough I'm not saying Jonathan
is a Saquon. I'm saying he's not bad. He can
be an elite guy, and if he stays healthy, he's
a guy that can have really, really explosive games. It
opens up the offense and protects the quarterback. He's got

(10:30):
a great safety blanket, as you mentioned, having talent around
him and Tyler Warren. And as a rookie, I mean,
who knows what he does, but brock Bauer showed that
a rookie can have strong impact on an offense and
on the game plan. So I think that you can
have a level of success, But it still bags the

(10:51):
question if you can if you can take that weight
and that pressure off of Daniel Jones to have to
carry the load on his shoulder, pause and delivered the
ball you know down the field. You know, you got
Pittman who who can really, really he can play, and
we'll see if he can continue to play out a
high level or even go to a higher level. But

(11:12):
it just bags the question if you're going to bring
in Daniel Jones after you've had this this high draft
pick in Anthony Richardson, and Anthony Richardson doesn't have the
same opportunities to have that success with those players in
position that they're in. Now, what does that really mean
for Anthony Richardson. I feel as though they've made a

(11:35):
definitive choice, like you can. We could say, you know, oh,
he needs more development, and that's probably true. He's not
going to get development in a regular season scenario. In
a regular season setting, he's not the only development he's
going to be able to get is mental reps. If
he's going into the meeting rooms and spending those times

(11:57):
in the meeting rooms, meeting with coaches and stuff like that.
During down time, off time, he's going to have to
spend extra time for development. But in terms of reps,
he's not going to get development in in practices. So
to say he's a project or a guy that needs
more development, this is to me it screams his his

(12:20):
opportunity as the colt starter outside of an injury or
something traumatic, you know, happening to the team, it's done.

Speaker 2 (12:29):
It's done for now.

Speaker 1 (12:30):
I mean, at least he's not gonna get tired on
the drive this year. Dang, you know there's that you
might get tired watching.

Speaker 5 (12:36):
I think that's the element too of development that he
still needs, you know, and and calling their last game
of the season, you know, he was dealing with the
thin back issues then and talking to some of the
folks around the organization, there really was a feel that
he just was not acting as if he was a
professional quarterback. Wasn't staying late, wasn't doing the things you

(12:59):
typically do as a star, you know, throwing, you know,
extra reps of you know, whatever the new route concept is,
you know, coming or you know, being being able to
get in there early before meetings and make sure you're
prepared for everything, staying late.

Speaker 4 (13:12):
Like all those things.

Speaker 5 (13:12):
They like, you know, people expect and talk about it's
an unwritten rule. And when you talk to people within
the organization, I think that was what was the most
disimportant part was is they felt like Anthony Richardson had
had been there long enough to be able to at
least have that opportunity for two years to say all
right after his rookie year. Yes there's injuries there, but

(13:35):
there's still a sense of like, this is how you're
supposed to do it. And in the year two you
start eleven games. During those eleven games, you turn the
football over too much, you're not complete enough passes on
third down, and you're not doing the things that we
feel like you need to do in order to be
successful on a consistent basis.

Speaker 3 (13:54):
They that's the tough part that what you're saying right
now means that saying stike And in a way has
another respect or enough feelings towards Anthony Richardson to let
him down light because to listen to what Stikeen said
versus the listening to what you're saying right now, Q.
He let him off easy. He let him off easy,
because if I'm stiking, I gotta say this is why,

(14:17):
Like okay, it's like to say he needs more development.
That's very open ended. You just gave more light to it,
in detail to it. And those are the cases, and
those are the reasons why Anthony Richardson has lost his
space and where he's at his status of what he is.

Speaker 2 (14:34):
That's very damning. That's very damning for a high Draftick.

Speaker 1 (14:39):
Did you see the quotes from Anthony Richardson's agent that
came out? So he spoke with ESPN, Derek Jackson's his name,
and he said, quote, we have a lot to discuss.
Trust is a big factor, and that is at best
questionable right now, Anthony came back and made the improvements
in the areas he needed to improve, and by all

(14:59):
account he had a great camp. When they needed a
big play last year, whose hands did they play? Put
the ball in? They put the ball in Anthony's hands.
It's like, how does that help the situation? And he's
kind of tiptoeing around reportedly, maybe they'll look for a trade,
maybe they'll dude, the guy was inconsistent, he couldn't stay.

Speaker 2 (15:20):
On the field.

Speaker 1 (15:21):
And then when he was on the field, he asked
for a break and opted out of a game play.

Speaker 3 (15:26):
Jonas, Okay, but that's a really bad looks. It's a
bad look, no doubt about that.

Speaker 4 (15:31):
That's it didn't It didn't hit well with anyone on
the team.

Speaker 5 (15:34):
I can tell you that because I was really curious
about that particularly, and I said, I was like, look,
I've never seen that before in my life at any level.
I mean, I talked with a couple of guys. I
was like, they were like, yeah, you should just went
down and act like.

Speaker 2 (15:47):
He was injured.

Speaker 4 (15:48):
Like like, that's like literally what we were like. It
looked so bad.

Speaker 5 (15:51):
From an optics standpoint, it was like, yeah, maybe he
just doesn't get it. And and here's here's a to
his agent's point, like maybe he did improve in some areas.
The problem is, even with someone of what we see
in the preseason, it's kind of the same thing. There's
a splash plays where you go, wow, that's great, and
there's those others where you're like, he's just not consistent enough.

(16:12):
And by the way, I won't push back that you
can't develop during practice. There are some fundamental things that
he could do better, and he can kind of train
himself to do better. I keep going back to the
fact he only had one year starting in college, and
so you know how he drops back, how he's seeing
the defense, how he's reading the defense, how his feet
are synced with that.

Speaker 4 (16:31):
There are fundamental things.

Speaker 5 (16:33):
When I watch his game, I don't feel like he's
consistently doing like those basic fundamentals with his full work,
which is one of the reasons why I feel like
he tends to be off sometimes, in particular on third down,
where the windows are tighter, the timing has to be tighter,
and you have to be very precise with where you're
going with the football, what you're doing with your feet.
So to me, there's still a ton of, you know,

(16:55):
fundamental work he can do to improve upon all that.
All the tools are there. I mean, he has got
as much upside as anyone in the NFL. It's just
he's he hasn't had the chance to really develop and
hone in on some of those And you could go
through your list of other guys who through the years
have continued to develop once they've gotten to the NFL

(17:16):
with some of those fundamental things. I mean, I'm not
trying to compare him to Aaron Rodgers. But if you do,
you remember how Aaron Rodgers used to throw before he
got in the NFL. I mean he would hold the
ball like back, almost like it was up above his shoulder,
like an ecstatic spot. And then as he developed over
those three years where he really didn't play much, he
started to drop the ball down more around his chest,

(17:37):
got a little more fluid with that.

Speaker 4 (17:39):
So you can.

Speaker 5 (17:40):
Definitely change some things and grow and progress and mature
as a pass I mean you can make the same
case for Jordan Love. I don't think he had as
many issues with his throwing motion. He just had to
clean up some of his footwork. But the same thing,
I mean watching Aaron Rodgers and how he handled things
how he's able to develop. Unfortunately for the Colts, Richardson
got drafted and they thrust it in there rather early.
He gets injured and his rookie year kind of goes

(18:02):
to the wayside.

Speaker 3 (18:03):
There is a silver lining to all of this for
Anthony Richardson and his agent just needs to relax and
chill out. There's a silver lining. It's Daniel Jones that start.

Speaker 2 (18:17):
He doesn't have to hope for an injury.

Speaker 3 (18:19):
Really like you would think like, oh, they brought it in,
you got there's there's it's Daniel Jones.

Speaker 1 (18:26):
You know, Stichen said it he's a play away.

Speaker 3 (18:29):
Well, Daniel Jones. Could you know if those those supporting
cast members don't show up, if it's on Daniel Jones
solely to make it work?

Speaker 2 (18:41):
Yea.

Speaker 1 (18:42):
By the way happen, Brady alluded to this, I hadn't.
I didn't realize. It's been twenty fourteen since they've won
the division. And that is if you were to just
ask ten people, at least nine out of ten would
tell you probably the weakest division in the NFL, and
the Colts haven't won it in over a decade, long
ass time. Fourteen Andrew Luck can quarterback of that team?

Speaker 5 (19:06):
Can I give you guys an idea as to how
that came about? So typically during the end of the
year and I get to call these for Fox as
all as a joy where you're talking about whether or
not coaches are being sarcastic. By the way, you're talking
about whether or not coaches aren't going to be retained
or general managers and the players and the roster are
trying to play for all thirty one other teams in

(19:27):
the NFL. At that point, there's a blame game that
goes on behind the scenes, and when you're calling an
NFL game, there's different people who are just generally approach
you because they know you're a vessel for them to
talk about what's happened and what maybe needs to happen
or should happen, almost like you can shape public perception

(19:48):
for people out there don't understand. This is politics at
the highest level in the NFL and guys trying to
keep their jobs. And some points that were brought up
in regards to Chris Ballad were or they haven't won
the division since Chris Ballard's been there. So yes, there's
some players that you might look at and say, oh,
that's a good draft pick, that's a good traff pick,

(20:09):
or maybe some decisions that were made in regards to
extensions or free agents, whatever the case may be.

Speaker 4 (20:15):
But they did make sure to highlight.

Speaker 5 (20:17):
That that since Chris Ballard's been there, this has not
been a roster that I don't know you guys tell me,
do you look at it and say.

Speaker 3 (20:25):
It's, oh, I don't want to It doesn't it doesn't
jump out at you. But I'm more of a name
brand guy too, though there could be some really really
fine football players on this team and they just don't
hit the name brand. Kirkland, they are definitely Kirkling. They're
definitely Kirkling. No pepsi, but.

Speaker 4 (20:48):
R C Cola, you guys get my point though.

Speaker 5 (20:53):
I mean there there becomes that blame game of well,
you know, Shan Stegen's been here, They've kind of in
some of the years been able to kind keep it
close down the stretch, haven't quite been able to make it.
But if they could just make some roster improvements, you know,
there's there's different thoughts and things that are said, and
you hear those things and you kind of internalize and
go okay, not that this is gonna make it on air,
but it is interesting to point that out. It's been

(21:15):
over a decade and usually someone has to take the
fall for that or the blame for that. And maybe
in this case again because of the ownership structure now
with you know the URSA, I would say, daughters, you know,
inheriting this, they might just want to clean slate altogether.
And I think that's part of this decision is they

(21:36):
want to go with a guy even as bad as
LeVar just made out what it's been in New York.
They look at a season, we're like, hey, if we
can get that season out of them, we feel like
we can be competitive and we can win some football games.

Speaker 4 (21:49):
You know, like we feel like that's the reality of it,
Like that's what they're trying to hang on to.

Speaker 3 (21:53):
That's a bad look for Anthony Richardson's That's just it's
just a bad look. Like that just tells you what
they feel about Anthony Richardson. They brought him in and
he won the job, or better yet, Anthony Richardson gave
that job away. That's really, in my estimation, Anthony Richardson

(22:15):
more so than Daniel Jones coming in and taking that job.

Speaker 2 (22:19):
He gave it away.

Speaker 4 (22:20):
That's actually to.

Speaker 5 (22:21):
That point, Jonas, I'm trying to think of the other
quarterback competitions we've had where they've like one guy's been there,
the incumbent, and they brought a guy in. I'm trying
to think who else, uh that would have fall in
that category that lost out on that job.

Speaker 1 (22:36):
Oh yeah, you know, I remember a time. I don't
know if I told you guys this butez I wasn't
trying to go to Chicago.

Speaker 2 (22:44):
When they flipped the coin.

Speaker 3 (22:48):
Can I ask you guys this though, or is this
a bit y'all want to finished a bit? Well?

Speaker 2 (22:52):
No, who's the I was asking a serious question. What
what what team? I'm trying to think, Uh.

Speaker 5 (23:00):
Well, who's the other quarterback out? That's, for example, the Saints.
I mean, Ratler's going up against Tyler Show. So that's
one where like Rawler's there, they bring in Shock if
Shuck kind of wins out, It's like the new face
would be another example of that, even though he's a rookie.

Speaker 3 (23:15):
I mean, do we feel like Rattler was projected to
be a guy? I feel like he's a jag.

Speaker 2 (23:22):
I don't know. I just feel like that. You know
you're talking about the.

Speaker 3 (23:29):
Stupid I'm just saying, why do you let Why do
you let a guy go?

Speaker 2 (23:35):
If you're going to a rental quarterback? Why would you.

Speaker 1 (23:40):
It's just identical, it's not identical identical.

Speaker 3 (23:45):
They don't sign anything alike. Yeah, yours doesn't sound like that,
but it was close. It's close, though, Why do you
let Why you let Flacco go and he goes to
become a starter somewhere else and you have success with
Flacco when he took over, Right, why.

Speaker 2 (24:03):
Do you let him go?

Speaker 3 (24:05):
If you're going to go to Daniel Jones and like,
there's way more of an unknown even though Jones is
younger and could potentially have more upside because of the
amount of time. Maybe that exists, But why do you
let Flaco go? If your intentions are if if Anthony

(24:25):
Richardson isn't the guy, then it's going to be Daniel Jones.

Speaker 2 (24:31):
Why do you let Flako go?

Speaker 8 (24:32):
Now?

Speaker 1 (24:32):
I started for Cleveland, Now he did Fla couldn't have
the same success in Indie that he did with Cleveland.

Speaker 5 (24:38):
He wasn't bad, well not, I'll put it this way,
not wins losses, Like if that's how you're going to
grade him. He did give their offense a pretty big left.
Like if you go back through in particular the passing game,
I me again. Richardson's struggled to complete whatever fifty percent
of the passes. He was at sixty five percent. He
had flipped the touchdown interception ratio twelve touchdowns like seven interceptions.

(25:01):
It was an entirely different feel for their ability to
throw the football consistently, so.

Speaker 4 (25:07):
There were some improvements.

Speaker 5 (25:08):
It didn't showcase necessarily in the record, which look in
the final six games or the six games you start,
especially when they're kind of you know a Richardson was
in and out. There are elements of that where it's
like it's it's tough to get into a rhythm. You
look at what he did in Cleveland. He got in
there and he got the rest of the season, and
he was able to help take them into the playoffs.

Speaker 2 (25:26):
Why not do it with him and do him there? Like,
I don't know how much of it.

Speaker 5 (25:31):
I don't know how much of it wasn't on his
shoulders to make that decision. You know, Here's there's a
sense that I had that maybe he liked what was
there in Cleveland, and from his past experience being there
in Cleveland, it felt like maybe a better better spot.
It's a division he's familiar with, it was an offense,
a coach he's familiar with. There's a lot of things

(25:52):
that I think led to that decision.

Speaker 4 (25:54):
But also maybe even.

Speaker 5 (25:56):
The opportunity, like knowing that you weren't gonna have to
deal with the whole Anthony Richardson situation, that quarterback competition,
it was gonna be a different one. With based on
everything that I had transpired in the past.

Speaker 2 (26:08):
Makes sense.

Speaker 1 (26:09):
Yeah, it's And the only other situation I can think
of is like Kyle Trask, but he wasn't drafted as
a as a first round guy, like Richardson where they
brought in Baker Mayfield, they had a competition.

Speaker 2 (26:21):
Baker ended up.

Speaker 4 (26:22):
Well, I'd say there was four this year.

Speaker 5 (26:24):
There's the Browns, which Flack would I have taken that
over which there wasn't really an incumbent. You have the Colts.
They brought in Jones, he ends up being the starter. Yeah,
you had Rattler, Hayner both there, Shuck was.

Speaker 2 (26:33):
The guy drafted.

Speaker 5 (26:34):
We'll see who starts and then you know, I don't
know how you look at the giants, like the Veto's
there that was really count I guess they bring in
Draft one and bringing two new guys and Russell's have
been the start.

Speaker 4 (26:44):
Of the whole time. So I'm not really sure how
you look at it, but like those are the ones
this year.

Speaker 5 (26:49):
You could say going into training camp preseason that people
have mentioned or talked about as a quarterback competition, it
sounds like all the new guys are getting the first
crack at it.

Speaker 1 (26:58):

how somebody would have gotten their ass kicked in the
world of football. That'll be yours here again in about twelve.

Speaker 2 (29:28):
Minutes from now.

Speaker 1 (29:29):
Right now, though, it is time for the Tire Raq
Play of the Day three to two pitch.

Speaker 6 (29:34):
Whoa hey walked in, Tigers wham man paces loaded, walk
to glaber torres, Tigers pour out of the dugout to
mob him at first base.

Speaker 2 (29:53):
How about it?

Speaker 1 (29:55):
Tiger's radio network on the call. For over forty years,
tire has been helping customers find the right tires for how,
what and where they drive. Shift Fast and free back
by Free Road has a protection with convenient installation options
like mobile tire installation, tire rack dot Com.

Speaker 2 (30:10):
The way tire buying. It should be here. It's not Q,
it's not well.

Speaker 3 (30:17):
You gotta go do bruh. You gotta save the broadcast.
You got you gotta say the broadcast. Come on, say
the broadcast bam, Nope, nope, dah there you go great job,
donus great job, don'tus way to get up and say
the broadcast we can still see Q on the screen.

Speaker 12 (30:36):
Whooo.

Speaker 5 (30:37):
So what's the situation, Lee? Your computer just keeps timing out.

Speaker 12 (30:43):
Yeah, even though you've set the hibernation to however long
or never or three hours, whatever it is, there's always
a countdown screen that pops up right in the middle.

Speaker 2 (30:52):
It does this on every screen here at the studio.

Speaker 4 (30:54):
Unfortunately, there's no way of fixing that.

Speaker 12 (30:57):
Huh. I've asked it about it. Uh, we're working on it.
You could do it with a personal computer wouldn't have
that issue, but anything that's connected to the to the
network here.

Speaker 3 (31:09):
All I'm gonna say is again, I'm in defensively this morning.
I'm in defense. I'm in a in an in defensively
mode this morning.

Speaker 1 (31:17):
I mean, I'm not the most tech savvy. I guarantee you. Okay,
there you go setting in there.

Speaker 2 (31:22):
That would get rid of No.

Speaker 3 (31:23):
Generally, when you're in a studio setting doing a nationally
syndicated show for Fox Sports Radio, that's you know, under
the iHeart brand, Juggernaut names, Juggernaut brands, you would think
what Brady Quinn and Jonas Knox.

Speaker 2 (31:43):
I mean, come on, I would.

Speaker 3 (31:44):
Assume in the college football Hall of Fame, I am
a college football Hall of Famer. I wouldn't gonna throw
myself in there. But you know, I was looking at
the talent that you guys are, I would think that
you would have enough support staff in here, like at
least two the three more people we're subtracting. I don't
see that light on anymore. I just don't know what

(32:08):
going on. I don't know what's going on. I mean,
that's all I would say. I mean because in theory,
what we're doing is tremendous. Right, we're able to all
see each other, makes for a better interaction. I'm just saying,
it'd be nice to have a little tech support. It'd
be nice to have a little support period.

Speaker 1 (32:31):
By the way, you got you gotta burn a gun,
a Celsius and a Prime.

Speaker 3 (32:36):
Hey, bruh, that is a horrible combination. Because my energy
levels are through the roof right now. Like I'm like
jacked up right now?

Speaker 4 (32:44):
Are you drinking a Prime?

Speaker 2 (32:46):
Yeah? Aren't there?

Speaker 3 (32:47):
Like, isn't there a bad crap in that? I don't know? Man,
it tastes good to me. Twenty calories.

Speaker 4 (32:53):
You're just trying to go for all the sponsorships, aren't you.

Speaker 3 (32:55):
I mean, somebody's got to do it, Brady Quinn. And
I ain't got a mattress for him yet either. By
the way, they're using you and they ain't sent that.
Have you got a mattress yet?

Speaker 4 (33:05):
You got you're talking to?

Speaker 2 (33:07):
I got a futon, you got fouton? I know Lee
ain't got a mattress.

Speaker 5 (33:12):
Jonas got a throw pillow. I made sure they gave
him a nice te.

Speaker 3 (33:16):
My dad gets some Tommy Bahama the other day though,
did y'all get Tommy And.

Speaker 2 (33:22):
It's expensive too? Like I opened the box, I was like,
this is really nice. They left the price tag I did.
I got. I need some Tommy Be's. You know what
I do for?

Speaker 4 (33:31):
No, you're good, Lee, You're you're good. They don't want
that on you while you're passed out somewhere.

Speaker 3 (33:35):
I got.

Speaker 12 (33:35):
I go goodwill hunting on my Tommy Bahamas. That's my
favorite thing to do. It's my favorite pastime. Interesting, I
go to any good will I see, I go in
and I try and find me a Tommy Bee.

Speaker 2 (33:44):
Interestingly, what you admitted that too? Huh oh yeah, I
go fishing for my Tommy. Did you just say you
go good Will hunting? I do what a movie nerd?

Speaker 3 (33:58):
But he literally goes to the good Will good for clothing. Yeah,
I don't.

Speaker 2 (34:03):
I don't judge that. I'm a good willionaire.

Speaker 3 (34:05):
There's a lot of of Oh she's nice. I mean
bargain shopping, thrift shopping. Can some people make it a
thing the thrift shop? Can we not very what Lee
just said?

Speaker 2 (34:17):
Again? I mean, do it again. I'm a good willionaire.
What a knob? He's a good willionaire. Lorena thought it
was funny. Lore love she's got a crush. I don't know.

Speaker 5 (34:31):
I don't get it. Really, that's more than a crush.
It's more than a crush. I really don't get it.

Speaker 1 (34:37):
Guys, listen, I am going to support him in his
will whatever that is.

Speaker 2 (34:43):
Where do you shot back Goodwill? Yeah? Because his clothes
get cut up so often.

Speaker 3 (34:47):
It's but again, I mean talk about knocking a ball
out of the park.

Speaker 4 (34:57):
I love about this though, is she's so passive aggressive.

Speaker 2 (35:02):
Well done, Lorraina.

Speaker 3 (35:03):
I mean, were you I didn't even know you were
up the bat, I mean you came, it came out
and she came out like a recting.

Speaker 2 (35:12):
Balls comeback song. Jesus, I didn't know where were going there,
but I mean it in the river. She took Tampa
out of the park. It's in the a Barry Bond's bomb.
It's in the river. It is true. But you know,
I go to a Nordstrom. If you just gonna get
cut up or thrown out, it's gonna get origamied anyway.

(35:34):
So yeah, I feel like we.

Speaker 3 (35:36):
Need to bring that that mystery person on the air
at some point, and we need to hear that side
of the store.

Speaker 2 (35:42):
I just feel like that needs to happen. That'll be
the show I do from home, because.

Speaker 3 (35:46):
That is a suit. Now we gotta bring that. We
got to all be here. I look, I got me
do her assymore that might not might be in the
grizzly beer. Get to a topic. No, well, I just yeah,

(36:06):
we got to go to break Yeah, No, it is
time to go to Loretto. We just dropped the mic outdag.
How long were you holding onto that material?

Speaker 2 (36:20):

Speaker 9 (37:34):
The guys are here.

Speaker 1 (37:35):
To bring you in case you missed it, and for
that we turn it over to our executive producer, Lee lap.

Speaker 12 (37:43):
Good more than everybody. Good morning, Jonas, Good morning Brady,
Good morning LeVar. Guys, in case you miss it. A
story that we've talked about before, former Alibort excuse me
what former Alabama quarterback, Greg McElroy Alibort alaborma Alabama quarterback?

Speaker 2 (38:00):
What two words were you putting together? Putting his name together?
Greg McElroy L like what I mean? I butcher words.

Speaker 9 (38:12):
Well.

Speaker 12 (38:13):
Greg McElroy before on his podcast, has cited that a
person very much in the know was convinced that Nick
Saban will come out of retirement after leaving coaching over
two years ago. Well, on Monday night, Nick Saban did
take to the podium on the Nick Saban Legacy Awards
show saying that I don't know where that came from.
Greg played quarterback for US, and if he had done

(38:34):
something like that when he was a player, he'd have
gotten his ass kicked.

Speaker 2 (38:37):
Tang. Well, there you go.

Speaker 5 (38:41):
That is about as a damning of a message a
you can get from Nick Saban because he's really saying
like I would whoop his ass if he was here
right now, but because I can't, I'm just letting you know,
if he was in our locker room, someone else would
have whooped his ass for me.

Speaker 4 (38:55):
That's basically what they said.

Speaker 2 (38:57):
Tang.

Speaker 3 (38:58):
Well, that's the reason why we won't be seeing Nick
Saban come back, because in the nil era, ass whippons
don't exist.

Speaker 2 (39:07):
I still think there's a chance, come my way, I'm transferring.
I still think there's a chance.

Speaker 5 (39:12):
Why do you lay a bet on that, buddy, way,
on that hard earn money, money that could be going
to your family, Throw it to the wayside.

Speaker 1 (39:20):
Now we're go put some money on that. He ain't
coming nobody's taking this action.

Speaker 3 (39:23):
He's made too much money to come back and deal
with what he doesn't want to deal with. No way,
I ain't doing it.

Speaker 4 (39:30):
How do you know this doesn't go pro?

Speaker 3 (39:32):
I don't think he's going to go pro either, because
I don't think he wants to deal with that either.

Speaker 1 (39:35):
If he's gonna go one or the other, which do
you think it is? NFL or College?

Speaker 3 (39:38):
I think they're both. They're both pro models now, so
you might as well go NFL. It's more established, more
you know, more infrastructure.

Speaker 4 (39:47):
Still, he's gonna pay you ten plus million a year
for three or four years? Why not?

Speaker 2 (39:53):
And I mean he's guaranteed.

Speaker 3 (39:54):
So if you only make one year and they're like
like Irvan Meyer, like, hey, we don't want you, like
a right, still got paid me.

Speaker 4 (40:01):
That there's to become some stuff kind of be sorted
out about that, But.

Speaker 3 (40:06):
I mean how much stuff can you be sorted out? Percentage? Percentage?

Speaker 5 (40:14):
Well, I mean, if you're fired for conduct detrimental.

Speaker 2 (40:17):
That's fair? Is that what happened?

Speaker 5 (40:21):
Well, I'm I mean, I'm just saying there's stuff out there,
like there might be a challenge too.

Speaker 2 (40:25):
Is that still going on? It's out there or has
it already?

Speaker 4 (40:29):
I don't think it's not going on.

Speaker 2 (40:33):
I'm gonna just I'm gonna just move away.

Speaker 3 (40:35):
Delete delete, delete because I know you worked with him.
Delete delete DoD Connie, you know that's my dude, got
bills dey wants.

Speaker 2 (40:44):
You got to keep that mustache looking groovy.

Speaker 1 (40:46):
It does definitely does, all right, And the yacht going leave,
We've got time for one more.

Speaker 12 (40:52):
In the front office, Sports w NBA has set a
new attendance record at two point four to three million,
beating the last record in two thousand and two minutes.

Speaker 2 (41:00):
All right, that's all right. What's the ratio of that
to Dildo's. That's what I'm talking about, Going the dark,
Go in the dark.
