It's Rachel Man.
Speaker 5 (00:51):
No, what you sent me was racil.
Speaker 1 (00:55):
Is that the funniest. I couldn't even send it to
the whole group because it was just way too It
was bad.
Speaker 4 (01:01):
It was bad. I might have got hr.
Speaker 3 (01:04):
There are people on social media that just don't even
hide it. They're not even they don't They let it fly.
But we're off and running here on this Wednesday morning,
here taking to you again all the way up until
nine am. Eastern time, six o'clock Pacific. Lots of discuss
in the world of sports, including not only what's going
to happen this year but potentially next year in the NFL.
(01:28):
We were kind of throwing this around in talking about,
you know, the Stillers and Aaron Rodgers arrival and all
this that, like, you know, even though he signs a
one year deal, what if you know, what if he decides, hey,
it went well enough, I'm in a much better place.
Maybe I could play beyond this upcoming season. Maybe this
(01:49):
is going to be more than just a one and
done with the Pittsburgh Steelers. And he was talking with
Adam Shine about that possibility and had this to say.
Speaker 4 (01:58):
I know you said this is your final year.
Speaker 6 (02:01):
Is this really your final year?
Speaker 4 (02:04):
Oh? I don't know.
Speaker 7 (02:05):
I mean, I'm I'll reassess all that in the end,
but uh, you know, when I signed a one year contract,
so there was you know, there was nothing about in
there about playing playing longer than one year. But we'll
see how it goes. You know, obviously you'd love to
have success and be healthy, and uh, you know we
(02:27):
can start there and have some success, make a run.
I'd be really special and then we'll figure that out
come next February.
Speaker 3 (02:36):
Now, it should be noted that Lee pointed out before
the show, which I thought this was reckless, that he
said Rogers sounded high there.
Speaker 5 (02:46):
I feel like that's yeah, it.
Speaker 8 (02:49):
Sounded like he was coming from a rotary phone. What
was that old school, old school landline? Yeah, so they
have those hots hots down the worse to be down
in there?
Speaker 4 (03:04):
What is that Beaver County or something.
Speaker 1 (03:08):
Hey, listen, here's what I'm gonna say. I know everybody's
looking at it as a one year proposition, one year deal.
Just being in Pittsburgh for you know, the last three
three days I was and just being around people, the
buzz and the excitement around Pittsburgh is actually pretty high,
(03:29):
which I found to be at first pretty shocking.
Speaker 6 (03:33):
Are you in?
Speaker 1 (03:35):
No, I'm not. I'm no, I'm not I'm not in.
I'm definitely not in. I'm still a tremendously large skeptic
of of where the Steelers are. But what I will
say is the level of conviction and belief that Mike
Tomlin brings to the table, it just makes it difficult
(03:56):
to ever think that you could say that what he's
going to do isn't going to work, and just his
level of competency when he responds to questions like, oh
are you how do you feel about it?
Speaker 4 (04:11):
Like are you?
Speaker 1 (04:12):
If I was, if I felt any differently or worried
about it, I'd be doing something differently and that would
show that I'm worried about it, and he's not. So
he seems to be pretty comfortable and confident and what
they've put together and what they're going to introduce to
the football community. I find it to be pretty intriguing
(04:33):
because the more I hear the confidence and the calmness
that sounds like he could be fried while he's doing
an interview on a payphone, a rotary plate payphone, it
really gives you the feeling that this could be one
of the bigger.
Speaker 4 (04:51):
Feel good stories if it were to work out. Now.
Speaker 1 (04:55):
I'll say that because I think if we're living in
in a sensible place, I just don't see Pittsburgh being
competitive in the North with this team. So if they're
able to do it, I wonder will it be received
in a way where it's like Tomlin and company are
(05:16):
doing an amazing job and are fielding a competitive team,
or will they get the kind of the titling that
they've gotten in years past, it's fools gold. It's been
very easy for people to put the fools goal title
and tag on the Steelers football team. Ah, they're undefeated,
(05:37):
They've gone eight weeks or nine weeks undefeated. But this
isn't a team that's going to do anything in the playoffs,
and people have been right. So I'm just curious as
to if they do have some success and they're winning games.
Speaker 4 (05:52):
One.
Speaker 1 (05:52):
I think it'll be a great feel good story because
it's just been so much that has taken place from
personnel why speaking. But I just wonder will it be
received the right way or will it once again be
you have to wait and see what they're going to
do in the playoffs. And I don't know what they're
going to do or even if they're going to have
a great season or if they're going to have a
playoff run.
Speaker 4 (06:13):
But it just sounds as though all the.
Speaker 1 (06:14):
Players seem to be comfortable, confident with the environment that
they're in, and none more than Aaron Rodgers. And I
feel like there could be like for him to even
humble himself to say, you know, he apologized to.
Speaker 4 (06:28):
The New York Jets fans and fell a certain type
of way.
Speaker 1 (06:31):
You know, it seems like it has a feel good
story feeling to it, but you gotta still wait and
see how it all plays out.
Speaker 8 (06:39):
I mean, it sounds like you're in. It sounds like
you are in on the Steelers this year, being a
playoff team making a run.
Speaker 4 (06:47):
I want to win.
Speaker 1 (06:48):
Not the fan in me, the Pittsburgh kid wants to
see them win. The four one two one thirty three
Shannon Drive four one two, four A six, five eight
one wants to see them win. I mean, yeah, hey,
heyn win.
Speaker 4 (07:06):
I won't see them win, but I'm not in.
Speaker 1 (07:10):
I'm I'm probably as big a skeptic of what the
Steelers are going to be able.
Speaker 3 (07:16):
To I'm noticing, I know, to say a trend though,
like it's all right, So here's the here's the trend.
Last year and the year before, you were out on
the Jets, but in on the Steelers.
Speaker 5 (07:36):
This year you're more.
Speaker 4 (07:38):
I was on the Steelers. Now that's an inaccurate of me.
Speaker 3 (07:43):
But this year it feels like you're more in on
the Jets and more out on the Steelers.
Speaker 1 (07:51):
No, that's an inaccurate depiction and representation of me.
Speaker 3 (07:55):
It feels like there's some some rod.
Speaker 4 (07:57):
Are you making stuff up about me?
Speaker 5 (07:59):
What I made up?
Speaker 4 (08:02):
I stop saying these lines about me that is not true.
Speaker 8 (08:11):
I've been a long time. I'm co signing with Jonas here.
I feel like it's a Rogers thing. I don't think
it's a jet Jets thing. I think it's a Rogers thing.
This is like every time I bring up golf and
Tiger Woods and you get, for whatever reason, you get
triggered about that. I have no idea why you don't
(08:33):
like Tiger Woods, but it's the same thing I don't like.
Speaker 4 (08:36):
His hairline irritates me.
Speaker 1 (08:41):
It irritates me. How you're going to have all that money.
I have a jacked up hairline like that.
Speaker 6 (08:48):
You're not really holding back right now, are you.
Speaker 4 (08:50):
Nope?
Speaker 5 (08:52):
So let me ask you this.
Speaker 1 (08:54):
The biggest the log lacquer. They need to help him out.
You make too much dang money, Your baby boys too
too beautiful. You got your big back, you got a
good build, you know, get your hairline right.
Speaker 5 (09:10):
The Steelers.
Speaker 3 (09:11):
The Steelers made the playoffs last year with whatever you
call that situation a.
Speaker 4 (09:16):
Quarterback okay, which is amazing.
Speaker 3 (09:20):
About the way yeah, and now you add a guy
who is an upgrade at the position, it would feel
like they're trending in the right.
Speaker 4 (09:30):
There, probably going to make the playoffs again.
Speaker 3 (09:32):
I mean, the schedules a little bit daunting and difficult,
but I don't think it's outside the realm of possibility
that he goes.
Speaker 5 (09:38):
You know what, there's.
Speaker 3 (09:40):
Kind of a breath of fresh air, not being in
a circus tent and being somewhere where you know, they
actually kind of have some sort of an idea of
what they're doing, like it's a high functioning organization. I'd
like to come back for another year. I don't think
it's outside the realm of possibility that we've got more
Rogers discussions to be had beyond this upcoming season.
Speaker 5 (10:01):
Do I know everybody's fired up for.
Speaker 3 (10:05):
What?
Speaker 6 (10:05):
Can they just keep things fluid?
Speaker 4 (10:07):
LeVar?
Speaker 8 (10:07):
You know, who knows if they went on to win
the Super Bowl? Do you think you'd be done? Do
you think it's more apt to say, all right, let's
do that again, let's.
Speaker 6 (10:14):
Run that back?
Speaker 1 (10:15):
I think don't you feel like that's a great question?
Why wouldn't that be well? I mean, did you ask
it thinking it was a great question? Or did you
ask it thinking that, like, you know, you already had
a conclusion.
Speaker 4 (10:28):
What what was that question? Yeah?
Speaker 6 (10:31):
I wasn't there.
Speaker 4 (10:33):
I didn't think it was a setup question. I didn't
think it was a setup question.
Speaker 1 (10:37):
I'm just saying, do you I mean, what I'm saying
is is it's a hell of a position to be in. Right,
there's no writer If you win the super Bowl, there
is no right or wrong answer. If you decide to retire,
you retired having done the greatest thing that you could
possibly achieve and accomplish in the game. So why would
(10:57):
anybody have a problem with you walking away?
Speaker 4 (10:59):
If you did it?
Speaker 1 (11:00):
And you're looking at it like we on a roll here,
it ain't gonna be just one. It ain't gonna be
just two. Might even be three or four, you know,
I don't know, I don't know. Maybe he makes a
bold proclamation. Yeah maybe, I mean, maybe he feels really
good about what the situation is presenting to him. He
(11:22):
feels good in his body, feels good in his mind.
You know, he's got a stable, stable situation. He did
what Kelsey did? You know he's hitting down the marriage lane.
Speaker 3 (11:32):
He hided down the marriage lane.
Speaker 4 (11:37):
You know, on a whole nother level. Hey, they called
me the figures.
Speaker 1 (11:43):
Hey, I don't think there's a right or wrong question
if they have great sick I don't even think they
have to win the super Bowl to get to a
point of where people feel really good about the Deers.
They just have to have a solid, a solid They
(12:03):
don't even have to have a phenomenal regular season. They
just need to have a solid regular season, get into
the playoffs and and be more than what they've been
in the playoffs in years past. And I think that
that's a win for the team. I think it's a
win for the fans, even though the fan base is
used to being champions and may bocked at it a
little bit. I think it is a win if they
(12:25):
have success in the playoffs. But with that being said,
I am still a healthy skeptic, and you will not
misrepresent me by saying that I was a fan of
the Giant the Jets, and or I wasn't a fan
of them because Aaron Rodgers was on the team, and
now I'm not a.
Speaker 4 (12:44):
Fan of the Steelers because Aaron Rodgers is on the team.
Speaker 1 (12:48):
I don't, okay, I don't have traveling hate for for
Aaron Rodgers and I do not have traveling hate for
Tiger Woods either. I just hate that he allowed the public,
if I'm being honest, it kind of his hairline, but
I was joking. I'm just more upset that Tiger Woods
allowed the general public to shame him out of being
(13:09):
the guy that he once was that made him the
player that he was, And he should have just stayed
being who he was and doing it how he wanted
to do it and told people what.
Speaker 4 (13:19):
Does that mean?
Speaker 6 (13:20):
Like, what was he doing that you should have kept doing?
Speaker 1 (13:23):
I mean, he should have kept going to the AE hops.
He should have kept going to the waffle shop, because
he should have kept meeting at McDonald's and hanging out
with him and watching their their work on television as
well respected.
Speaker 3 (13:38):
Actresses Perkins Perkins, Perkins.
Speaker 1 (13:43):
Yeah, he should have just kept being who he was.
Look at what it, what it brought him to, like
the all time greatest. Like then you're gonna let people
pressure you out of it, That's what happens. That's why
I don't listen to people. You ain't gonna shame me
out of being who I want to be, because then
I ended up being I ended up being below par par,
and then you'll be the main ones talking about what
(14:04):
happened to him, like I ain't doing it.
Speaker 3 (14:06):
You remember when you remember when Tiger Woods had to
have that press conference with his Remember when he had
to have that press conference and he had to announce
that he was going to sex rehab or something.
Speaker 4 (14:18):
Yeah, why are you doing that?
Speaker 5 (14:20):
Yeah? He does Tiger Woods back in the.
Speaker 4 (14:24):
Save his marriage and stuff like that.
Speaker 3 (14:26):
One of the most one of the most awkward things
I've ever seen is him up there with his mom
next to him, explaining his issues that he's going to
go to sex rehab, when the reality is all he
did was leave his phone unlocked and he caught a
nine iron between the eyes while trying to take a nap.
(14:47):
That's all he did, trying trying to escape. He's all
twazzled out on pills, and then he crashes his car.
Other than that, I just don't see what the issue
is being great man, And I got news for you.
Speaker 4 (15:01):
If Perkins, he was the biggest, the largest, I.
Speaker 3 (15:04):
Got news for If Perkins had a better menu, he
would he would have been in the restaurant longer.
Speaker 5 (15:08):
He wouldn't been in.
Speaker 1 (15:09):
The Perkins in that big ass house you got, man,
you ain't even got to go up.
Speaker 4 (15:13):
Out, you know what I mean?
Speaker 3 (15:14):
Hey, Tommy, Lee put a Starbucks in his house?
Speaker 4 (15:17):
Why not? Why not? I'm with you for Sam Man,
I'm not I'm not a hater of Tiger Woods. I
just don't like golf.
Speaker 3 (15:27):
I'm sorry, sorry, I'm with you.
Speaker 5 (15:34):
Great point.
Speaker 6 (15:36):
Lee loves the troup. Do it one more time for
Lee's I know, I know it's Lorraina. I'm saying. We
watched Lee's reaction though, onere time.
Speaker 3 (15:45):
Oh God, by the way, Lee, Lee got butchered last night,
and whatever story he's trying to tell us is not
the right story.
Speaker 4 (15:53):
Lee.
Speaker 5 (15:54):
How much did you drink?
Speaker 4 (15:56):
Hey?
Speaker 5 (15:57):
Hey, m.
Speaker 6 (16:02):
What did you drink last night? I don't know.
Speaker 8 (16:05):
You have to know something because you are not functioning
like a normal human being right now.
Speaker 5 (16:10):
I'm doing just fine. I'm doing just fine. I don't know.
Speaker 9 (16:14):
I had a few few, a.
Speaker 3 (16:16):
Few beers and uh some sake.
Speaker 9 (16:20):
Oh there was sake earlier in the day. Yeah, yeah,
before the before the movie, before shooting gout Zilla.
Speaker 3 (16:27):
So what was the what was the window of booze
like at what time to what time like start to finish?
Speaker 10 (16:33):
What?
Speaker 5 (16:33):
Well?
Speaker 9 (16:34):
Oh, man, I guess I had a beer and some
saki before the movie, and then I had some tequila
pineapple after the movie, and then I was doing notes
for a while.
Speaker 6 (16:46):
Do you have Mexico? Do we have a?
Speaker 7 (16:48):
No?
Speaker 3 (16:49):
That was my house. Do you have a Do you
have a time?
Speaker 9 (16:51):
So that was the movie was at two o'clock.
Speaker 3 (16:55):
Two o'clock, so you probably started at like one fifteen.
Speaker 5 (17:00):
Probably wrapped up and around one time.
Speaker 9 (17:02):
I haven't wrapped up yet, but I mean, jeez, you
that Yeah, there we go, you go, no, yeah, And
then this.
Speaker 4 (17:11):
Is the producer of our show.
Speaker 5 (17:13):
It's a solid minimum seven hours.
Speaker 4 (17:16):
Never you know, today.
Speaker 9 (17:17):
Today's show feels better than Monday Tuesday, though, doesn't it?
Speaker 6 (17:22):
I don't know?
Speaker 4 (17:23):
For you?
Speaker 5 (17:23):
Well, no, what do you mean.
Speaker 4 (17:28):
Why because your drama? Oh god? Well all right, there
you go. Well, hey, no reason to try to get
ahead if this is our show. I'll tell you that. Like,
let's just live where we're at. Be happy.
Speaker 1 (17:43):
Hey.
Speaker 3 (17:43):
By the way, you know, I found it like you
were talking about getting your knees drained. For you know,
I found out yesterday I have a deviated septum.
Speaker 5 (17:50):
I had no idea you might get a job.
Speaker 4 (17:52):
So everybody.
Speaker 3 (17:56):
Well, no, they said, you know, if it doesn't compromise you.
Speaker 1 (17:59):
That much, who you're going to come in looking like, Man,
I don't know, you'll get that nose straightened up.
Speaker 5 (18:06):
You can Sam, Maybe I don't.
Speaker 1 (18:07):
Right, you already look like a vampire from the way
you look, but you already aesthetically are like even why
are you getting the nose down?
Speaker 3 (18:16):
But he asked me. The guy asked me. He's like,
have you ever had your nose broken? I was like,
I don't think so, and you face. The only time,
the only time I could think is my brother ded
ted me on the living room floor, and I remember
afterwards I had a bump on my nose and I
was having a hard time clearing my my sinuses.
Speaker 5 (18:37):
That's the only thing I could think. But all these
years later I had no idea. But again, that's what
it's like, clearing your sinuses.
Speaker 3 (18:45):
Yeah, I just I just early on after that I
couldn't And now I don't even notice it. But he's like, yeah,
if you snore a little bit, that could have an issue.
But if it's not impacting you other than that, you
don't need to worry about surgery. Because I've heard the
surgery is a real pain.
Speaker 5 (18:57):
In the ass to get down.
Speaker 4 (18:59):
Interesting.
Speaker 9 (19:00):
I believe a doctor's appointment to get a sleep what
is it a sleep sleep study?
Speaker 4 (19:08):
Thank you? Yeah? For forever sleep? Yeah? Please?
Speaker 8 (19:12):
Now, Lee, do you think they'll ask you if maybe
you shouldn't drink as much? Like things like that before
they go to a seapap.
Speaker 6 (19:20):
I mean, there's some natural there's some natural adjustments there.
Speaker 4 (19:23):
You know.
Speaker 1 (19:23):
What's funny how many people really tell the truth about
their medical history when they're getting asked about it.
Speaker 8 (19:28):
And Lee's I have a buddy. I swear to God,
I have a buddy. He honestly tells the doctor how
much he drinks, like his thing is, and he knows
his doctor pretty well. But you know how they're like, oh,
do you like your you know, occasional drink or casual?
You know, how do you describe yourself like, you know,
one drink a day, you know, a few drinks a week.
(19:50):
And he's like, well, let's just do the math. I
would say at least twenty beers a day. He's like,
I'll do thirty just in the course of like a fly.
Speaker 6 (20:00):
And he's just I mean he's even joking. He will
be honest with him. He's like, well, why with him?
Speaker 8 (20:05):
He's my doctor, Like he shouldn't he know how much
I'm actually consuming and help me get ahead.
Speaker 4 (20:10):
That's the funny part.
Speaker 1 (20:11):
Yes, if they're if they're throwing your blood and all
that stuff and taking your urn, yes they're going to
know if you're abusing yourself.
Speaker 8 (20:18):
That's the point it comes back, like I think, yeah, yeah,
I mean.
Speaker 4 (20:24):
There you go. That's crazy, man, Lee goes up in there.
How much do you drink? Doc?
Speaker 1 (20:31):
I only drink like once a week, Like it'd be
the funniest when people lie about this. I used to
do it with smoking, and then at a point in time,
I just stopped doing it. Like I smoke, Doc, I
don't need to try to tell you the details. How
many how much I smoke? I smoke so so Lee?
Speaker 3 (20:46):
How many do you drink a day? I don't like
two or three? You talking about water?
Speaker 4 (20:49):
Right?
Speaker 3 (20:49):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (20:51):
Never, that's I don't know what it was, only accurate.
Speaker 8 (20:54):
He keeps doing this little shimmy, and he keeps doing
it into the camera.
Speaker 6 (20:58):
I don't know why, get.
Speaker 4 (21:00):
In the yard.
Speaker 3 (21:01):
You gotta come get in the yard.
Speaker 4 (21:02):
I'm gonna come check y'all because I don't need.
Speaker 3 (21:05):
To look at any note clear his tongue out.
Speaker 6 (21:08):
The one time I was like, what are you doing?
Speaker 4 (21:11):
The dude said, yeeha on.
Speaker 3 (21:14):
So I bar's gonna get in the yard. How long
do you think you're gonna be waiting to be allowed
in by I'm here the warden of the yard.
Speaker 5 (21:23):
Let's see how long there he is?
Speaker 3 (21:25):
Leasha, I'm shimmy. Let's see the shimmy.
Speaker 6 (21:28):
Oh god, he keeps doing that and puts his tongue out.
Speaker 11 (21:32):
It's weird. It's weird to outay. I just love Already.
Speaker 4 (21:42):
Mute it, bro, We're already. We're already mute. No, I
had to mute you. Sorry, my microphone is muted. It's

Fox Sports Radio, LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with
the air coming up and we'll call them about fifteen
minutes from now. It is a Wednesday tradition here on
the show. It's our midweek of towards the good, the bad,
and the ugly. That'll be yours right here on FSR.
(24:06):
We do have some good news for one fan base
in the NFL. If there is still a fan base
for this team, that would be the New Orleans Saints,
because yesterday their head coach Kellen Moore made the big
announcement as to who will be under center for New
Orleans when they open up the season next weekend against
(24:27):
the Cardinals.
Speaker 12 (24:28):
Spencer Ratlers are starring quarterback. Really really excited for him.
He's done awesome job this offseason. He's just been consistent
and made some really good decisions throughout this whole entire process.
And you know, his ability to make plays with his
arm and his feet have certainly shown up. And so
I'm really really excited about Spentry. He's earned this opportunity.
Speaker 3 (24:51):
Try to tell you guys, all right, don't sleep on
the Rattler all this Jake Hayner, Tyler, Schuck garbage.
Speaker 6 (25:00):
Didn't you pick Tyler? Shock wasn't either one that picked Ratler.
Speaker 3 (25:03):
We don't need to get mixed up in the past,
all right, Let's let's stay knocks.
Speaker 4 (25:07):
Locks, button loft. I was more betting, Jesus.
Speaker 6 (25:14):
I don't know who you're aiming at. When you do that,
you're being way way low.
Speaker 3 (25:19):
There are so many cameras around, There's so many cameras
in the studio, and I'm getting distracted because Lead just
did the air guitar while trying to pump a shot gun.
Speaker 5 (25:28):
So I'm getting distracted.
Speaker 6 (25:31):
You don't have to put your headphones on.
Speaker 9 (25:32):
Just that's how Jonas pumps shock gun there knocks locks.
Speaker 4 (25:40):
It horrible bro, you look like you're having a seizure.
Speaker 9 (25:43):
Man, that's how I'm Mimickingmick dropping one more time.
Speaker 6 (25:47):
I want to see what is ammicking.
Speaker 12 (25:49):
Mimicking making up words, mimicking knocks locks.
Speaker 13 (25:55):
Oh god, it is weird, that's yeah, admitting Okay, So
does this change your optimism for the New Orleans SAINTSUS
upcoming season?
Speaker 3 (26:09):
Do you look at the Saints and go, you know what,
Now they've got Spencer Rattler. I mean he can sling it. Okay,
he can again throw the ball around a little bit,
but since Derek Carr has put him in this awful
spot because he just couldn't do it anymore. Now we've
got Spencer Ratler taking over the reins, and he's also
got on his back a fan base that, whether they
(26:33):
want to admit this or not, Eh, they wouldn't be
all that bummed if they lost every single game so
they could guarantee themselves the first pick of the draft
next year.
Speaker 5 (26:42):
So have fun with that and enjoy it. Waltz there
for Spencer Rattler, I don't.
Speaker 8 (26:47):
Think this's changed their Super Bowl odds in any way,
shape or form. I mean, I'm excited for the player, though,
getting his shot, getting his opportunity.
Speaker 6 (26:56):
Now, it's not the.
Speaker 8 (26:57):
Best set of circumstances, but Kellen Moore is a good
offensive coordinator. You know, he'll be able to put him
in a position to be able to succeed. You know,
whether or not that comes with wins and losses, that's
something else.
Speaker 5 (27:08):
But I do know this.
Speaker 6 (27:10):
You know he's gonna give.
Speaker 8 (27:11):
Him opportunities to compete and opportunities to be able to be.
Speaker 6 (27:15):
Productive as a quarterback.
Speaker 8 (27:16):
But again, this team will most likely be drafting at
the top of next year's draft a quarterback who will
come in and most likely take over.
Speaker 1 (27:27):
You know, Spencer Rattler was a big time star on
the Netflix. QB one or what was a QB three
or QB two or whatever it was.
Speaker 4 (27:38):
It was interesting was a QB eight.
Speaker 1 (27:41):
Yeah, I thought it was interesting seeing his path to
college and then how you know, he had some ups
and downs in college and then he makes it to
the league and maybe not as highly projected and to
out it going into the league coming out of college
as he was going into it. But I think he
has persevered. Sometimes I think when a player has to
(28:05):
go through the highs and the lows, like Spencer Ratler
has had to have gone through where it looked like
he was very, very high, not only high in terms
of how he was being viewed, but.
Speaker 4 (28:17):
How high he viewed himself.
Speaker 1 (28:21):
I think you have moments of maturity and you learn
to take things for more, for more value. You don't
take it for granted. You don't assume that you're going
to be the best, you don't assume that everything is
going to work out for you. And quite frankly, that's
(28:42):
the situation he finds himself in in New Orleans. So
for what it's worth, however it ends and however it
plays out will be how it plays out. But if
you're going to say in this situation, if you were
getting a guy that has to fill into this or
fall into this scenario, that maybe there's a belief that
(29:06):
they can outdo what the circumstances and the odds say
their their level of achievement will be, it's probably going
to be a guy like Spencer Rattler that is able
to take a situation like this and make it a
good one. So you know, I don't I don't know
(29:27):
how it plays out, but I will say there are
certain guys that are more prepared for situations like this
than others.
Speaker 3 (29:35):
Although I was messing around doing some possible bets on
DraftKings instance.
Speaker 5 (29:41):
Obviously, the big news in the world of sports for
some people is.
Speaker 3 (29:45):
The engagement of Tata as they call her, and Travis
Kelcey kill a trave And so I thought, all right,
so let's just go ahead and do some long shots
here because the Saints are going to be awful. But
what if, you know, Spencer Rattler goes on on a
heater and they make a Super Bowl run.
Speaker 5 (30:03):
Come on, man, just hold.
Speaker 1 (30:05):
On, get carried away, I mean, don't get carried away.
Speaker 3 (30:09):
But again, this is just but these are you know,
it is possible.
Speaker 6 (30:13):
You'd be better off. It's it's possible, but you'd be.
Speaker 8 (30:16):
Better off just lighting that money on fire, all right,
right in front of us, right now.
Speaker 3 (30:19):
I mean, look the power balls at like eight hundred
million dollars. All right, people are are you.
Speaker 6 (30:23):
Have a better chance of winning that?
Speaker 5 (30:24):
Okay ticket? What would you? Guys say?
Speaker 4 (30:28):
Who cares?
Speaker 3 (30:30):
Unfortunately, but if you do win, don't don't don't hope
me to that. Unfortunately, the winning numbers won't be won't
be Bombay, Sapphire or pop off, So I don't know.
Speaker 7 (30:41):
It.
Speaker 3 (30:42):
I did, all right, So what would you guys say
if you had to guess right now? Because I did
an exact result on DraftKings the Saints to beat the
Chiefs in the Super Bowl. If you bet one hundred dollars,
there's a chance if you went on DraftKings and bet
(31:02):
one hundred dollars on the exact result of the Super
Bowl being Saints beating the Chiefs.
Speaker 5 (31:08):
What would you say? One hundred dollars pays you out?
Speaker 4 (31:11):
If you had to guess a million?
Speaker 5 (31:14):
Okay? Can we be like realistic here?
Speaker 4 (31:17):
I was, Okay, what's the odds of that?
Speaker 3 (31:21):
A little less in that? That would be like the
you know, what do you mean?
Speaker 4 (31:25):
A little less like a million?
Speaker 3 (31:27):
That would be like the Saints beating the expos would
be a no.
Speaker 1 (31:30):
That would be like the Saints making it through the
regular season to the playoffs, through the playoffs to the
Super Bowl into the Super Bowl to beat the Chiefs.
I'd say a million dollars off of one hundred dollars.
Speaker 3 (31:43):
Okay, Brady, If you had to guess, one hundred bucks
pays you out.
Speaker 5 (31:48):
What if the Saints beat the Chiefs and the Super.
Speaker 6 (31:49):
Bowl um sens with the Chiefs. Let's say.
Speaker 4 (31:58):
Tending the dumb and dumb a moment, ten million dollars?
Speaker 5 (32:01):
Okay, very good, Lee.
Speaker 4 (32:03):
Dang he went higher than me.
Speaker 9 (32:05):
Dang, I need about three ft of fifty thousand?
Speaker 4 (32:10):
Uh five fifty thousand?
Speaker 6 (32:13):
What Lee? Are you okay?
Speaker 5 (32:17):
Three fifty thousand?
Speaker 3 (32:19):
Uh? We do have a winner, and that would be
lead to laugh, who's the closest? Because one hundred dollars?
Speaker 4 (32:32):
Why are you scratching your head? Lead like that is
not a win?
Speaker 1 (32:35):
Like that's not like that's that nervous scratch you just
did right there? Like, oh I won against Brady Old. Hey,
hey look here, bru I saw you just did. You
just scratched straight hit Lee? You can't how you going anyway?
Three hundred and fifty dollars is meant for dollars?
Speaker 3 (32:52):
Lee's just closest the actual number on DraftKings exact result
Saints to beat the Chiefs. One hundred dollars is wins
you two hundred thousand dollars? Doesn't that seem low?
Speaker 4 (33:04):
That's for dummies?
Speaker 1 (33:07):
How much money are you going to make off of
those people that bet that hundred dollars? That's for dummies
for dummies. That's what that one is. That one right there,
that's bet for dummies. And somebody thinks that that that
is going to actually ride, Like I'm gonna bet this
hundred isn't that much. Let me put it on this one. Hey,
if it hits great, you know, like that's a dummy bet.
But anyway, it should be like a million plus on God,
(33:30):
because that's it's it's going to be impossible for that
breed to take place creed.
Speaker 5 (33:36):
They're gonna be awful, terrible.
Speaker 1 (33:38):
I mean, make the odd as high as you can
so that you can get more dummies betting one hundred
dollars on trying to get that power.
Speaker 4 (33:44):
Ball, you know what I mean, Like, come on, jeez.
Speaker 3 (33:47):
If you're gonna do that, If you're gonna do that,
the biggest, the biggest long shot would be and these
are exact results on DraftKings, would be.
Speaker 6 (33:56):
The Brown worse. Don't don't see the Brown's worst.
Speaker 3 (34:00):
Just said, so Brown's beating the Saints one hundred dollars
gets you to uh to a little over a million.
Speaker 8 (34:08):
There you go, because because the other the other thing
you're factoring is what brings down the return is the fact,
you have the chiefs in there, you have to put
an equally you know, low expectation team. Yeah, so that's
all I'm saying. But look, don't sleep on Spencer Rattler
speaking of a good sleep. By the way, it starts
(34:30):
with a good mattress. All right, I trusted Mattress Firms
Sleep Experts to find my perfect mattress from their premium selection.
For the great sleep you deserve, visit Mattress Firm during
the best sale of the year. They make sleep easy.
Speaker 4 (34:42):

Speaker 8 (34:43):
Pros A mattress with a body bag.
Speaker 10 (34:49):
Chris.
Speaker 6 (34:51):
With a blow up doll?
Speaker 4 (34:54):
All right, a man up? Did I even have men?
Blow up? Those? So discriminatory? Hi? Do they really?
Speaker 1 (35:08):
What?
Speaker 5 (35:09):
Coming up next year we are going to uh serve?
Speaker 3 (35:13):
Yeah, well they do they they do. They throw them
onto the courts at games. Coming up next here, we
are going to have another edition of The Good, Bad
and the Ugly right here on FSR.
Speaker 2 (35:24):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Arrington and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern three am Pacific.
Speaker 3 (35:35):
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe Fox Sports Radio,
LeVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you here coming
up top to top of next hour. It is a
Wednesday tradition here on the show. It's the old p
Petris papadak as he is yours here again a little
over ten minutes from now. By the way, everybody knows,
first impressions start with the first code. That's why you
(35:56):
can trust Kills Primers for a smooth and professor Finish
Kills Primers now available exclusively at the Home Depot if
you're a pro, you know, sponsored by the Home Depot.
Speaker 2 (36:11):
There are some good things that happen, and there's some bad,
and then there's some downright ugly things. It's time for
good bad and luckily all.
Speaker 5 (36:21):
Right lead to lap who's got what well?
Speaker 9 (36:23):
As we do each and every Wednesday, we start with
the good. And this week you know it's good because
LeVar is delivering those goods.
Speaker 4 (36:30):
Good. I mean it's a big week college football.
Speaker 1 (36:33):
I mean big slate outside of the little Ohio State gate.
I mean that's that's going to be a tremendously big game, exciting.
I think it's an exciting week of Week one for
college football and well be here in state college and
be able to experience what that week one feels like
(36:54):
as a spectator and as a fan and my children
being a part of it. It's pretty exciting. I'd say
it's even better than good. It's like this week's.
Speaker 5 (37:04):
Great, Well, you can't have great without the bad. Jonas
what was bad this week? Listen, it's.
Speaker 3 (37:13):
The Ohio State handling of the Dave Portnoy like that.
I just I don't know how it's how you can
defend it. I actually can't wait to talk to Albert
Breer about it to see how he's going to spin
the defending Ohio State in this situation as looking anything
other than just soft and anything other than even despite
(37:37):
winning a national championship and celebrating that in a big
game against Texas, We're now not even talking about the
fact that they're facing one of the best teams in
the country. We're not even talking about the fact that
they're facing the team ranked number one in the country.
We're now talking about this thing they can't get out
of their head, which is Michigan dominating them for years now,
(37:58):
which is good for college Football's goes that the rivalries matter,
the way they did, they do, but this is a
bad it's a bad look for Ohio State through and through.
Speaker 5 (38:08):
And from bad to worse. Brady, what was ugly this week?
Speaker 8 (38:12):
Well, this one's pretty easy, unfortunately. Everything that's transpired between
Rajah Jackson, that's Rampage Jackson's son, the the you know
fight that broke out where he knocked Stuart Smith otherwise
known as Psycho Stu unconscious, you know, hoping that Stuart
(38:32):
Smith's doing okay. But how however it transpired, whatever the
motivation was, whatever the conversation was, it's just it's unnecessary
all the way around. That's all parties involved. So not
not trying to choose a side here, but that was ugly.
It was terrible to see. You just hope that Stuart
Smith's gonna come out of it okay.
Speaker 3 (38:51):
By the way, how about the fact that the official
in the match didn't know what to do and so.
Speaker 6 (38:57):
I think he thought it was part of it though, right.
Speaker 3 (39:00):
Well, like some somebody still covered the guy. Somebody still
covered the guy for the pin cold No, he flatlined
at one point. They're like, whoa, we don't listen. We
don't want anybody to uh.
Speaker 1 (39:14):
One wrestler in the Purple, though he was trying to
get it in like he he knew what it was about.
Speaker 13 (39:18):
He
