was the deal that I don't think a lot of
people thought was actually going to happen. Uh, Micah Parsons

(01:52):
gets traded from the Dallas Cowboys to the Green Bay Packers.
You know, we saw the reports, we heard the rumor,
We talked about it the day before. Listen, you know
Ricky Scoops. I believe it is on X with somebody
who pointed out that the packers that offer on the
table that this is. You know, there's at least been

(02:14):
some kicking of the tires when it comes to this
maybe happening. And nonetheless, yesterday rolls around, more reports start
coming out. We talked to Albert Breer. He seemed a
little bit wishy washy on whether or not this could
get done, because I think everybody thought it was far fetched.
And the longer it went on, the more it seemed
like a possibility. And nonetheless, Micah Parsons gets dealt to

(02:38):
the Green Bay Packers. Right now, we will get to
how this affects Lee to lapse sobriety, because that was
what was on the table yesterday. If he does go
to the packers because Lee loves him some Green Bay Packers.
But let's first hear Jerry Jones and Stephen Jones try
and explain this one away. Yesterday after the trade was.

Speaker 6 (02:58):
Made, the contract that I offered him back in April,
he flew in from out of the country, wanted to
come right in. I said, no, get your night's sleep
and come on in the next day. Get your next day.
He wanted to come right in. We offered him a
contract to come play for the Dallas Cowboys, and it
was a good one. Now, it was more guaranteed than

(03:20):
what I've been reported that was here now. But my
point is, without getting into detail, that was a very
genuine negotiation. This gives us a better chance to be
a better team than we have been the last few
several years since Michael has been here. Not any negative

(03:40):
on Michael, but we're trying to get better. We're trying
to stop the run and stay in the hunt. We
need to stop the run, we really do. We need
to get the ball back.

Speaker 7 (03:49):
Kenny Clark was a big part of this.

Speaker 8 (03:51):
That was a part of winning right now, and we
feel like when you look at the frustration is we
hadn't been able to win the big game in the playoffs,
and we think it is a direct connection to not
being able to stop the run. And we think Kenny
Clark's going to be a big piece to that. And
we felt like because of our death on the edge
as well as the ability to be able to scheme pressure,

(04:12):
that we could make up for Micah because obviously he's
elite at rushing the passer, that we could make up
for that.

Speaker 6 (04:19):
I am very excited about, very excited beyond any consideration
of a regret of the consideration that we got in
this trade and of the player. I'm very excited about that.
It is more in keeping within my mind what's in

(04:39):
the best interest of the Dallas Cowboys.

Speaker 5 (04:42):
Oh Man, seems like it should be a deleted scene
out of Pooty Tang, Like Pooty Tank should break the
belt out on both of them, just start spanking with
the Pooty Tang belt. It don't sound right, It does
not sound right. There's listen, just own it. Like I

(05:04):
didn't want to do the contract that David Mullaghetto wanted
to do. And as much as it pained him to
have to move on or think about moving on from
Michael Parsons, the contract that David mulla Ghetto was asking
for that he most likely ended up getting from Green Bay,

(05:28):
Dallas didn't want to do it. They did not want
to do it. He did not want to do it,
and it was worth more to let Michael Parsons go
get that money from another team rather than keep the
guy that you developed that has turned into a star
at the position in the league. I mean, he just

(05:50):
said he didn't want to do the contract. All he
had to do was just tell the truth. Just tell
the truth. By the way, they didn't want to do it.

Speaker 4 (05:56):
Those two first round picks. The Packers have picked in
the top ten of the first round twice in the
last twenty years.

Speaker 9 (06:03):
So it's not they'll be bottom half, probably somewhere in
the twenties and you can package them up all you want,
talk about where you're trying to get to. But as
we talked about, whoever you're trying to move up to take,
if it's a quarterback, if but I mean again, they're
under contract with Dak Prescott for the long term, at
least the next few years. So you're not going to
bring in another guy next year. I would think it'd

(06:25):
take maybe a couple of years. Maybe he could be
an understudy. But you know, you're loading up on, you know,
said first round draft picks for the future. We're not
able to take those game changing type players. I mean,
if it's a quarterback, no one's moving off to take him.
I mean, who would you be trying to line up
to take. That's the hard part about all this. None

(06:46):
of it makes sense.

Speaker 7 (06:48):
But that's what if they stink.

Speaker 5 (06:49):
If they stink, right, if they play horribly bad, they
end up being in position to get a top draft pick.

Speaker 3 (06:57):
Right.

Speaker 7 (06:58):
Well, yeah, that's the case for any off team.

Speaker 9 (07:00):
My thing is, right, I don't think they're going to
like and this is a team that between Dak Prescott,
some of the weapons they have, you know, Brian Schottenheim's
first year as a head coach, first shot as a
head coach. I mean, no one's trying to do that.
You know what, if there ever was an agreement between
a head coach and ownership, whether you know, Hugh Jackson

(07:20):
made those claims, Brian Flores made those claims. You know,
there's been claims of that that, oh, you know, let's
just you know, reset tank all stuff. It never works
out with the coach, never works out. So I can't
imagine that that's the strategy for Jerry Jones, is, hey,
let's tank, We're gonna get a couple of first round

(07:40):
picks and all that.

Speaker 7 (07:41):
I think, Look, he's eighty two. Yeah right, I don't
know that he has like he wants to win on that.

Speaker 5 (07:48):
Maybe it's a tanking coach too. Maybe he doesn't have
to be in cahoots with the coach knowing. Maybe he's
a part of the tank. He's a part of the
tanking playing Schottenheimer doesn't even know he's a part of
the tanking plan. This man is tanking the Dallas Cowboys,
Brady Quinn.

Speaker 9 (08:05):
He's tanking a decision making and moving on from a
player like this. Yeah, there's no other way you could
look at it, like I don't. I mean, he almost
sounds defensive in having to just have this discussion about
how they did it because he knows in the back
of his mind he just gave away a future Hall
of Famer.

Speaker 3 (08:22):
Jeez, I mean, off his rookie contract. Right, he's not
even old.

Speaker 5 (08:29):
Let's keep that in mind. We're not talking about or he.

Speaker 9 (08:32):
Had great money to sign him to that contract. Like
that's you can't say it's all just about the contract.
Something else happened, something else personal, something else behind the scenes,
something else happened, because none of that makes sense. They
had the money to do the deal, he could have
done the deal. There's something else that play, something else
is going.

Speaker 4 (08:50):
On, LaVar. You mentioned the David Mulugeta aspect of all this.
Jerry Jones did discuss that yesterday.

Speaker 6 (08:57):
From everything I heard from people that know him, he's
not that fragile. And let me tell you something, you
can't do this stuff if you can't do business like
this and be around this and be fragile. I'm not.
And still doesn't mean you can't get mad or you
can't get any way. But still I would think that
with his background and what have you, he's a very

(09:19):
professional and is very willing to keep his eye on
the ball and not get caught up in a lot
of the other emotion or things that go on.

Speaker 5 (09:31):
Andrew Bradley just delivered that man the highest non quarterback
paying contract in the history of the games. You know,
see he has delivered once again.

Speaker 4 (09:42):
You know what's funny is Andrew Brandt, who worked with
the Packers for a long time. He was on social
media and basically he sort of cuts all the crap
out and will predict or explain what a contract actually means.
And him and Brady I think, and this is not
ball washing Brady, but they do. They they make complex

(10:03):
contracts very simple to understand, like there's a lot of
numbers in there, here's what it actually means. And Andrew
Brandt pointed out yesterday guessing three years, one hundred and
twenty million, with the rest of it being fluff. Not
that there's anything wrong with that. David Mulagetta responded, go
investigate and let me know what you find. Hashtag fluffless.

(10:24):
So he's feeling himself like he's, uh.

Speaker 3 (10:26):
Hey, bruh, it's forty seven this year.

Speaker 7 (10:29):
He's incapable of being fluffed. It's forty fluff over to
By the.

Speaker 10 (10:36):
Way, they might know fluffers better than anyone exactly.

Speaker 5 (10:41):
I mean, all that money you get, all kinds of fluff,
you get, all the fluffing you need.

Speaker 3 (10:48):
Fluff away.

Speaker 1 (10:50):
It.

Speaker 5 (10:50):
Don't say fluffless, say all the fluff, we get all
the fluff.

Speaker 10 (10:56):
It's too hard for street cred. He lost all street cred.
Throw it out, fluffless fluff.

Speaker 3 (11:02):
Bruh. Dude is paid.

Speaker 5 (11:04):
He's paid, and he's on a team that can win
the Super Bowl.

Speaker 3 (11:09):
So like, so let's let's do this. Here we go.

Speaker 5 (11:12):
What are the betting odds that we have another Penn
Stater treated the same exact way, sent exactly away, the
same type of way done away with, left for dead?

Speaker 7 (11:24):
Are you trying to make this about you right now?

Speaker 3 (11:28):
No making about Penn State.

Speaker 4 (11:30):
He's talking. They did Saquon Barkley the same way last year.

Speaker 3 (11:36):
They didn't want him.

Speaker 11 (11:37):
The NFC East y'all messing up, y'all messing up. Inn
f C East y'all did it to Saquon last year.
Now you're gonna do it the MICA this year. It's ridiculous,
but we might go two years in a row.

Speaker 7 (11:51):
Why right?

Speaker 9 (11:52):
Why Green Bay? Like was there no other suitors for
Micah Parsons? I know, are you being serious? Like that
was the only team that ended up providing two first
round picks and something like this is a generational talent.
I mean, if you're Jerry Jones. Would you not want
to deal into an AFC team so you don't have
to deal with seeing him during the.

Speaker 3 (12:11):
Course the Super Bowl?

Speaker 5 (12:14):
You ain seeing him back to the super Bowl, so
you wouldn't have to see any impact.

Speaker 9 (12:19):
I mean, there's the potential chance of crossover, But the
general point is, wouldn't you rather trade him.

Speaker 7 (12:25):
To the other conference if you could?

Speaker 3 (12:27):
Yes?

Speaker 9 (12:27):
Like that's why none of this makes sense, Like how
how they kind of just gave up, gave up on that,
not giving him the deal that he's looking for, the
fact that you wouldn't traded him a Green Bay. I mean, look,
I guess it's not within the division, so they got
that going for him. But it's not like the Giants
would be a partner, right, They've got a slew of
edge rushers, you know. I think the Eagles are out

(12:48):
in that department.

Speaker 6 (12:49):
You know.

Speaker 9 (12:49):
So what you're attained to, Washington, I don't think that's happening.
But I just look at it, and none of this
makes sense to me.

Speaker 5 (12:57):
All I'm gonna say is the all only legitimacy that
you can pull from this, And you say it's crazy
as hell, but let's see how it plays out.

Speaker 3 (13:12):
Is that you're tanking. I'm sorry.

Speaker 5 (13:15):
It's the only thing I can come up with that
legitimizes what they're doing and what they're saying. Don't talk
to me about the dude you brought in. Don't talk
to me about the players that you still have on
your team. This is not a team that's built to
win it. This is not a competitive quarterback in terms
of winning the Super Bowl.

Speaker 3 (13:34):
He's not. He's shown us who he is. They're tanking
the season.

Speaker 5 (13:38):
He has already Cowboy Nation, whatever y'all want to call y'allselves,
the Cowboy faithful whatever. Jerry Jones just told you he
punted the season. So if you want to be excited,
be excited about maybe the future. May maybe he set
your sights for like two three years off from now.

(14:00):
But this year he's told you he's he's punted the season.
This year he's punt it.

Speaker 9 (14:06):
So they're over underwinding total set at seven and a half.
I assume you're taking the under way under. Okay, Well,
you got the win.

Speaker 5 (14:13):
Seven to ten last year, six at least to at
least they'll be at least to away from seven.

Speaker 7 (14:20):
Yeah, at least they win five games?

Speaker 3 (14:22):
Yeah, five games.

Speaker 4 (14:23):
But they can stop the run now, so you got
to factor that inc. That was really the issue with
them before.

Speaker 7 (14:29):
Yeah, five games, I get about all your Penn State
defensive players. You guys can't stop the run.

Speaker 4 (14:33):
Damn.

Speaker 3 (14:34):
I mean maybe I don't know.

Speaker 7 (14:36):
You're the one trying to talk comparison, draw comparisons to what.

Speaker 3 (14:42):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (14:42):
That's the comparison I'm drawing is you didn't want to
pay sakuon Barkley and you let him go and then
he goes and wins the Super Bowl. I'm saying, what's
the odds of Michael Parsons. You didn't want him in Dallas,
you let him go to Green Bay. What's the chances
that Green Bay goes and wins the Super Bowl this year?
He gets pretty high.

Speaker 4 (15:01):
So he mismanaged the Mike McCarthy stuff to where they
basically just they waited till his contract lapsed and then
it was like, well, we're just going to go into
a different direction, and then clearly mismanaged this. Maybe it's
just a guy who can't read the room anymore. Like,
maybe it's just hey, like And that's why I brought

(15:23):
up the Al Davis stuff, because Al Davis started doing
stuff towards the end where it was like, oh boy,
unfortunately he's at there, he's at the wheel, and we've
got to trust his direction here, Like it just this
this is really really bad, this one. This one. He
butchered this one pretty good. And he can explain it

(15:44):
away all he wants. There is no explaining it. It's
just And I just wonder if.

Speaker 5 (15:51):
This series, how the players are going to come out
and talk about it, because clearly some again we talked
about what was it?

Speaker 3 (15:57):
Was it Hooker that came out that he needed to
focus faded. Listen.

Speaker 5 (16:05):
All I'm gonna say is I want to see how
the players come out and kind of respond to it,
Like are they going to be like, you know, are
they going to be pro Micah, are they going to
be pro Dallas?

Speaker 3 (16:17):
Are they going to be indifferent?

Speaker 5 (16:18):
I'm curious because it'll tell me a lot about what
they felt about them. You know, that may or may
not confirm some of the you know, were there the
issues in the locker room, you know, conversations that it
may be ensuing. Again, I'm with you on saying there's
something more to this. I don't know what it is.

(16:42):
I don't I don't know if Micah said something that
offended Jerry or or Mulaghetta did something that offended Jerry or.
I don't know how you get to this, but it
had to be something and and and maybe it's it's
the numbers. Like I'm gonna keep coming back to the
idea that David Mulagetta has established the fact that he's

(17:05):
coming for the numbers. With the clientele that he has,
the players that he's representing are his ammunition to be
able to go after the type of numbers that he's
going after. And Jerry Jones said he's not playing that
game with him. It could be as simple as that.
It really could just be as simple.

Speaker 9 (17:22):
But again, like one hundred and twenty million guaranteed is not.
I mean, that's significant. You made a bigger commitment to.

Speaker 3 (17:29):
Dak offensive side of the ball, is all I would say.

Speaker 5 (17:35):
I know he's paid at times on the defense side,
but I feel like the thing that people blame Jerry
Jones for is not spending enough big dollars on the
defense side of the ball and spending it all.

Speaker 7 (17:47):
On the offense side.

Speaker 5 (17:48):
Marcus Lawrence, he did pay Lawrence, he did, but we're
not talking about it.

Speaker 9 (17:56):
They signed dact to two hundred and thirty one million
guarante he for a two hundred and forty million dollar contract.

Speaker 3 (18:03):
I don't think he sees doing that.

Speaker 7 (18:06):
Jerry's got the money. Jerry could have made this happen.

Speaker 5 (18:12):
I don't I don't think he wants to pay it.
And all he needed to do is just say it.
Say say you don't want to pay it for what
it's Say you don't want to pay.

Speaker 4 (18:19):
It for what it's worth. Tom Pellasero of the NFL
Network just reported that the Packers and Cowboys agreed to
trade terms for Michael Parsons three days ago. All that
was left was the contract. So basically this had been done.
They were just waiting to figure out the contract. And
you know, Micah get gets his term, he gets his
shorter length deal, he gets his four year deal, and

(18:39):
he's off to Green Bay. You know, maybe here's a theory,
since nobody else can come up with anything that makes
any sense, because it doesn't make sense, maybe Jerry Jones
was just like, oh, you're all about building your brand. Huh,
you want to run Bleacher Report?

Speaker 3 (18:52):
All right?

Speaker 4 (18:53):
You no longer get the rub from the Cowboys and
our organization. We're going to send you to that outhouse
in Wisconsin. Go have fun over there, all right, Go
go have fun in Green Bay and see if you
can build your brand out there. Maybe it's one of
those nice little kids.

Speaker 5 (19:06):
That built his brand. Well, he's already built his brand,
and green Bay is a fine It's not a great
media market, but it's a fine market if you're a
football player. It's a respected, traditional, you know, blue blood organization.
Like it's there's nothing wrong with with that. You don't
have the push of Jerry Jones behind you. But I

(19:28):
don't think he had to push a Jerry Jones for
the Bleacher Report deal to begin with. He's got the
other dude he's got, he's got, he's got a great
relationship with the fanatics. Guy like he's got Michael Parsons
has relationships that that are strong, and he doesn't need
to be in Dallas at this point to make outside
of football ventures work. I mean, I don't. I can't

(19:50):
see how that would be Jerry Jones's reasoning.

Speaker 3 (19:53):
It can't be.

Speaker 4 (19:54):
I'm just trying to come up with anything to make
it make sense.

Speaker 5 (19:57):
You're punting on the season. It's a rebuilt Dallas has
effectively told y'all, they rebuild it. They're gonna get a
new coach, They're gonna get a new everything, new quarterback,
new everything.

Speaker 3 (20:08):
It's a rebuilt. It's rebuilt.

Speaker 4 (20:12):
Can we check in on all?

Speaker 5 (20:13):
Right?

Speaker 9 (20:13):
Hold on real quick, LaVar, what are you gonna do?
If they win eight games, I'd be surprised. I'd be surprised,
make the playoffs. I'd be surprised playoffs, I'd be surprised. Okay,
always trying to rebuild.

Speaker 3 (20:31):
I would.

Speaker 5 (20:31):
I would say, if they were able to have that
type of season, I would find it hard to believe
that that's what they meant to do. I would find
it hard to believe that that's what Jerry Jones was
projecting to do with what he did, I would find
it hard to believe. But I would also say that
I could admit that I'm wrong, like I would say
I'm wrong. I don't have a problem admit when I'm wrong.

Speaker 4 (20:54):
I mean, I'm wrong.

Speaker 5 (20:55):
Plenty of times I get told daily how much, how
many times I'm wrong I should be wrong?

Speaker 4 (21:01):
Is is Mike gonna be uh? Is Mike gonna finally
be a professional at some point? Is he gonna I mean,
is he actually gonna like partake in the team and
or is he gonna lay on a training table and
eat nachos? Like like, what are we?

Speaker 3 (21:14):
Where's that coming from?

Speaker 4 (21:16):
What story?

Speaker 3 (21:16):
Because I'm in state college? Now, where's that? Really?

Speaker 5 (21:19):
Where's that coming from? If I was in front of
you right now to pops you in your mouth, damn,
what are you talking about?

Speaker 3 (21:25):
Well?

Speaker 4 (21:25):
What what sort of are we getting here? All right?

Speaker 5 (21:28):
Is he gonna be committed with Were they committed to
him in Dallas? Clearly they weren't. They could have told
him to just stay home. That man chose to be
on the sideline. He chose to be present with these
non paying his ass people sit there talking about my
boy like that.

Speaker 3 (21:44):
He came out with his nanos. It's not your cheese.

Speaker 4 (21:47):
He was sending y'all message.

Speaker 5 (21:48):
They didn't want to give him the cheese, so he
came out with not Joe cheese.

Speaker 4 (21:55):
By the way, I wonder if he was like if
he started got the impression that he was on his
way out and he's like, I guess this. I'm just
I'm just gonna eat. I'm gonna eat what I want.
I'm gonna lay around when I want and you guys
can go kick rocks, like he must have just said,
did a great job a giant few days.

Speaker 5 (22:12):
If it was done three days ago, then this thing
was going on for it. I mean, sometimes contracts don't,
they happen really quickly. But you got to assume with
something of this magnitude, there had to been conversation going on.
So that's probably now that I'm like kind of thinking
over it. We probably that's probably why Schefter said there
was a divorce that was imminent. Then you there was

(22:35):
no comment from David Mullagetta, because that was the one
that was the most curious to me. When these things happen,
an agent most certainly needs to come out with a
statement as to what is going on with their client,
and he did nothing.

Speaker 7 (22:49):
He said, not what's going on? What's going on?

Speaker 4 (22:53):
What's going on with Lee's sobriety? And how does how
is that impacted with this move?

Speaker 5 (22:57):
If we figured out, well, we said that Lee has
to it to go drift for an entire season or
entire year.

Speaker 3 (23:03):
If Michael Parsons went to Green Bay.

Speaker 9 (23:05):
Now hold on, we did say that dude, now hold
out of state draft for not even mouthwashed.

Speaker 12 (23:11):
I said, I said, I said not even mouth, I said.

Speaker 4 (23:19):
Alcohol in it.

Speaker 3 (23:20):
I did have to have non alcohol.

Speaker 13 (23:22):
Get it out. It's not like I'm.

Speaker 3 (23:25):
I like mouth. Sorry, A year of sobriety.

Speaker 13 (23:29):
No, hold on, I got to pull on the tape. Apparently,
but I said.

Speaker 12 (23:34):
I would give up drinking for a year if it
meant if I guaranteed a Lombardi trophy.

Speaker 9 (23:39):
No, no, you see, how are we ever going to
be able to do that unless you stopped drinking if
guarantee a Lombardi trophy.

Speaker 7 (23:48):
It was to make we can't tell the future.

Speaker 12 (23:51):
I know that it was a theoretical to myself, but
that's what they.

Speaker 3 (23:54):
Want to drink to keep you drinking.

Speaker 12 (23:58):
I well, what do I get? Do I have to
wain til kickoff or until the you know you have to.

Speaker 4 (24:03):
Wait, I gotta start now, that's it.

Speaker 13 (24:09):
I've already I've already failed.

Speaker 7 (24:12):
No, you've got five six days.

Speaker 13 (24:15):
I got to get through.

Speaker 7 (24:17):
Kickoff happens.

Speaker 9 (24:17):
When kickoff happens Thursday next week, you have to go
drive the entire season.

Speaker 13 (24:21):
Can you give me Sunday until the Packers kickoff?

Speaker 3 (24:24):
No?

Speaker 7 (24:25):
What you're gonna starting?

Speaker 3 (24:28):
All right?

Speaker 4 (24:28):
Fine?

Speaker 13 (24:29):
Fine, Fine, here's the problem to do it.

Speaker 4 (24:32):
Yeah, here's here's the problem. Do it. Like we're gonna
that We're going to force it. We're going to force
him into lying. Yeah, he's going to lie. Like he's
going going to make me lie right now.

Speaker 3 (24:43):
See.

Speaker 12 (24:43):
Okay, if I had to choose one, I can't drink
on non Packers play days or I can't drink on
Packers plane.

Speaker 4 (24:51):
Okay, how about this this guy?

Speaker 14 (24:54):
Right?

Speaker 4 (24:54):
How about this leave? How about you have to cut
back to only drinking six days a week?

Speaker 13 (25:00):
So I got to give up on Sunday?

Speaker 10 (25:01):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (25:02):
Is that doable?

Speaker 6 (25:02):
Like?

Speaker 4 (25:03):
Could you cut back to how about I get only Sundays?

Speaker 13 (25:05):
That would be better, wouldn't it for everybody except for
Monday Show.

Speaker 4 (25:09):
It's just not it's this isn't going to happen.

Speaker 3 (25:12):
Though. It's not going to happen, So I don't know
having a conversation.

Speaker 4 (25:16):
I mean, we threw it out there because there's no
way Dallas is going to trade him to the Packers.
And then it happens, and Lee goes into convulsions because he's.

Speaker 5 (25:23):
Thinking reasoning for not drinking is as sound as Jerry
Jones is for trading Michael Parkers. They're both very non
coherent you know responses.

Speaker 9 (25:35):
Now, if Lee actually did pull this off and the
green Bay Packers won a Super Bowl, I think this
would be like a major moment in sports.

Speaker 3 (25:43):
I'll find a way to get him tickets to the game.

Speaker 4 (25:46):
Oh my god, I'll find.

Speaker 5 (25:48):
A way to get him a ticket to the game.
I'll pay for the ticket. You, I'll pay for the ticket.
I don't even care if you can go an entire
season without drinking. I'm don't even care green Bay makes
it or not. If you can go an entire season
without drinking because of green Bay getting Micah Parsons or

(26:08):
having to go to Super Bowl, I'll pay for your
super Bowl ticket.

Speaker 13 (26:12):
All right, I'm saving this. I'll try, all right, starting Thursday. Try,
I'll try kick off to the season.

Speaker 4 (26:20):
I'll try.

Speaker 13 (26:21):
I'll try.

Speaker 7 (26:22):
You won't make it a weekly. I love you, man,
but you will not make it.

Speaker 3 (26:25):
He won't make it one day.

Speaker 7 (26:29):
He won a sip of alcohol.

Speaker 13 (26:32):
But I can have mouthwash right as long as I
spit it out.

Speaker 7 (26:36):
You have to drink some.

Speaker 13 (26:38):
No, I'm not gonna drink mouthwash.

Speaker 7 (26:40):
No, no rubbing alcohol.

Speaker 4 (26:42):
No mouth le goes into prestige like you got any scope.

Speaker 13 (26:46):
They don't.

Speaker 4 (26:47):
Can I get a fifth of listerine please?

Speaker 9 (26:49):
They do have listerine lead check this morning after after
this conversation.

Speaker 4 (26:56):

That's Covino and Rich, two Pros and a Cup of Joe,
Fox Sports Radio, LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with

(28:39):
you here. Coming up in about twelve minutes from now,
We're going to close up shop here in this Football
Friday with another edition of Lee's Leftovers Out of Yours
here on FSR. But everyone knows that first impression. Start
with the first code. That's why you can trust Kills
Primers for a smooth and professional finish. Kills Primers now
available exclusively at the Home Depot if you're a pro,

(29:00):
you know, sponsored by the Home Depot. All right, so we, uh,
we've got the big game in Columbus. This has got
to be on par I would imagine, Brady, one of
the biggest game you guys have called or been on
been on location for.

Speaker 9 (29:18):
Yeah, I mean it's you know, a high state Michigan
games are always really big just because the rivalry how
heated it is. I can't recall if we've had a
matchup though of a one versus three. Those Ohio State
Michigan games. Ohio State Penn State games had to have
been up there, but I'm not I'm not sure it's
been quite this big in that regard. So it's I mean,

(29:38):
it definitely. You can definitely feel the vibes in Columbus.
There's a lot of people who are kind of a
little bit uncertain, I think because there's so much change.
You know, you have new defensive coordinator, new offensive coordinator.
You know, a bunch of new guys who maybe played
at times or started at times, but are now prompted
into that starting role.

Speaker 7 (29:58):
So it's it's gonna be interesting.

Speaker 9 (30:01):
And I think the tough thing is and I had
someone say this the other day, They go, I wish
this wasn't a Week one, like I wish this matchup
was like Week two or Week three, And I do
think there's there's some validity to that in a matchup
like this, which is what everyone wants in college football.

Speaker 7 (30:17):
You just don't want them to be sloppy.

Speaker 9 (30:19):
You don't want them to be like pre snap penalties
and ball security issues and blown to assignments. You maybe
want to get a game or two under your belt
to knock off a little bit of that. I don't
know if you'll call it rust or nerves, but just
to allow both teams to be closer to playing at
their best. And I think it's really really hard to
do that week one to start a season.

Speaker 4 (30:40):
I mean, were they Texas Ohio State? Was it one
versus two? And six? I think I think that was
the last. I think it was one versus two.

Speaker 9 (30:49):
It would have been an five, right, yeah, because that
was the year Texas beat Ohio State and then Texas
went on to beat the USC for the National Championship.

Speaker 4 (31:06):
I'm showing Ohio, Steve No, that's that whatever.

Speaker 7 (31:14):
Well, I don't think they were both ranked that high.

Speaker 9 (31:15):
But to your point, that was a very huge game,
monumental game I believe in Columbus.

Speaker 7 (31:19):
To if I'm not mistaken.

Speaker 4 (31:20):
Yeah, it's a I can't wait to watch man like
you can. Like there's something about big environments like that
to where even the NFL, like the NFL will have
big games and big matchups, even the Super Bowl, you
don't really get a sense of how big it is
because it's so corporate. There's so many different things going on,

(31:42):
there's so many different elements. College football's got a way
to present itself on television to where if you're watching
or you're streaming it or whatever, you're looking at to
try and take in the game. You the way it's
laid out and presented, you can feel it's a big deal.
Like you you're gonna be able to feel tomorrow this
is massive, like this is a historic matchup with all

(32:04):
the other elements combined, the Mannings, the National Championship, the Portnoy,
the big doing kickoff, Corso's Final, Like you're gonna be
able to feel that present itself in a way that
we haven't seen before and we don't get in the NFL.

Speaker 9 (32:17):
And look, kudos to College cam Day, I mean and
Lee Corso, who's a part of it. But they made
it that way where you're on site, you're you're there,
you're in the action, you can feel it and the
excitement are surrounding it, and that's part of I think
what makes you know, college so much fun a little

(32:38):
bit in comparison to the NFL shows, where it's more
of that sterile studio environment. You know, you can't you
really sense the excitement quite as much. You know, you
get like a parking lot shot of people tail game
for the NFL games, but it's entirely different with college football.
You're you're there in the action. So it's I think
that's part of it in regards to how you present it.

(32:59):
But I do want to say this about Lee Corso.
You know, he felt like to a lot of people
like I didn't. I didn't grow up remember me like
my my grandfather's because they passed away when I was young.
But he's kind of been that figure, like that grandfather
type figure. I think for a lot of people for
a long time, and he's one of the special people

(33:21):
that just makes the game fun, makes the conversation about
the game fun.

Speaker 7 (33:26):
And it's gonna be sad. It's gonna be sad to
see him not be a part of it anymore.

Speaker 9 (33:30):
You know, I kind of not that Dick Vitel's done,
but like it's same thing for like college basketball, right,
Like I'll always remember like the Dick Vitel calls and
you know, the different way he would say things similar
to Lee Corso and looking forward to which team he
was gonna pick to don the head gear to make
his selection, or some of the funny things he would

(33:51):
find a way of getting in their show. Uh, It's
it's sad, but you know, I obviously want to thank
him for everything he's done all those years to highlight
the game of college football.

Speaker 4 (34:02):
Yeah, and you guys are going to be everybody's going
to be there together. Are you going to get a
chance to talk with him tomorrow at all?

Speaker 7 (34:08):
Or I don't know.

Speaker 9 (34:12):
I mean, obviously if I have the opportunity to go
over and make sure to stay hello, but usually everyone's
so busy trying to just make sure we get in
front of the camera on time, you know, moving from
outside to inside or you know, different set to set,
so we're at a completely different location for where they're at.
But I'm sure hopefully we'll have the opportunity to say low.

Speaker 7 (34:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (34:31):
So it's been a hell of a run for him.
And now we get ready and get set for the
big game coming up tomorrow Texas, Ohio State from the
Shoe Big Newton kickoff on Fox. We'll be watching, we'll
be supporting, and if you want to support, and if
you want to watch, and if you ever want to
try something new, I recommend fencing because if you've wanted

(34:54):
to try an Olympic or a Paralympic sport, you got
to try it. It's fast, it's safe, and it's easy
to start. Find a beginner class near you at USA
Fencing dot org slash try fencing. That's Usafencing dot org
slash try fencing. Coming up next here, we are going
to close up shop on this Football Friday with another
edition of Lee's Leftovers right here on FSR.

Speaker 2 (35:14):

a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Errington and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern, three am Pacific Two.

Speaker 2 (35:55):
These might smell a little fun case how does that
sounds incredible?

Speaker 7 (35:58):
But they're still good.

Speaker 4 (36:00):
Time to find out what's lap?

Speaker 2 (36:03):
It's Lee's lajos?

Speaker 4 (36:05):
All right, the lap? What do we got?

Speaker 12 (36:06):
Well, Guys's Labor Day weekend and TSA projects at seventeen
point four million individuals will travel through the air this weekend,
including at least three million today through the skies. This
is actually from Thursday through next Wednesday, is what constitutes
the Labor Day weekend.

Speaker 13 (36:24):
So obviously plant plan ahead. You guys, got any big
plans for the weekend?

Speaker 3 (36:29):
Football?

Speaker 1 (36:30):
Yeah?

Speaker 7 (36:30):
Lee, I'll be working for the Ohio State Texas Dan.

Speaker 13 (36:32):
Oh yeah, that's good one. I'll catch you there.

Speaker 3 (36:35):
Watch my kid run out from a fever.

Speaker 4 (36:39):
There you go.

Speaker 3 (36:39):
Wow, it's twin sister.

Speaker 9 (36:41):
Cheers them all, Lee, Will you talked about all this
the entire week.

Speaker 7 (36:44):
This is the question you asked us.

Speaker 13 (36:46):
You know what I got going on?

Speaker 4 (36:47):
What you got?

Speaker 13 (36:48):
Day two of a five day streak of sobriety. Yeah,
there you go.

Speaker 12 (36:52):
Day two of five day streak of fantasy football drafts.
Had my first one last night and second one today today,
the live draft.

Speaker 13 (37:02):
Yeah, get used to.

Speaker 7 (37:03):
It, and I admit something.

Speaker 4 (37:04):
Yeah, go for it.

Speaker 9 (37:05):
My nephew guilted me into doing one.

Speaker 7 (37:10):
I tried, so I tried to set it up for
auto draft.

Speaker 9 (37:15):
All I know is like last night I had to
go to a different event and I look at my
phone at this update, it's like, you got a C.

Speaker 7 (37:22):
Grade for you.

Speaker 4 (37:24):
I don't worry about that. Don't worry about that.

Speaker 9 (37:26):
I was like, okay, like, what the hell happened? I
haven't even had a chance to look at the lineup
yet or who is even on the team.

Speaker 4 (37:32):
But I'm telling you this right now. If you participate
in setting your lineup for at least two weeks, you're
gonna get hold and I think you'd be really good.

Speaker 7 (37:43):
I will not.

Speaker 4 (37:43):
I think you'd be really good on it.

Speaker 7 (37:45):
I appreciate it, I will not.

Speaker 3 (37:47):
It's can I throw something out there?

Speaker 5 (37:50):
Yeah, we've been talking about legends. We bought a leak course,
so and this is by no means on the level
of a Leite course. So career, but to some of
us actually is pretty dope. The fat Co zone is
coming back to to Western Pennsylvania football. When I was
a player in high school growing up, you wanted fat coo.

(38:13):
You wanted your game to be big enough where Fetco
would come flying over top with the helicopter and then
land and come and and and join the game. It
went away for a little while, but it's now returning
and it's Week one high school football and.

Speaker 7 (38:29):
Western What are you saying?

Speaker 5 (38:32):
No, no fat coach. His name is John Fedco. Like
he's a sports personality. Like I said, he's not like National,
it's not like a but we're talking about legendary dudes
like we brought up Lee and I thought it was
really cool that John Fetco. The fat Co zone is
what was called like, you know, like you play your
game on Friday night and if you did really well,

(38:54):
you Friday nights they had like that local feature show
to highlights from the games around the area. Well, John
Fagcoe became like a celebrity of sorts in western Pennsylvania
football because he would, you know, if it was a
big game, he would bring the helicopter.

Speaker 3 (39:11):
But but he would do the highlights.

Speaker 5 (39:13):
He like, it's that John fat cod Like you're like
you want.

Speaker 3 (39:18):
Them type dudes.

Speaker 7 (39:18):
You know, it's like the show Jonas is coming Back.

Speaker 5 (39:21):
It's coming back. Yeah, it's but wait which one? It
was way better the one you do on Sundays.

Speaker 3 (39:27):
Oh yeah, yeah, it's.

Speaker 5 (39:29):
But it's better because it's like it's just all high
school highlights. He talks about the highlights, he hypes up
the players, and then he shows up to the big
game stuff like that. So I think that's like original.

Speaker 9 (39:41):
Maybe he is individually, but like they would have the
helicopter come same thing for like football on.

Speaker 5 (39:46):
Columbus, I mean where football is big. I would assume
they have some type of something like that.

Speaker 9 (39:52):
Yeah, is that by the way, If a helicopter, that's big,
that's that's.

Speaker 7 (39:56):
Our big g you know this is big.

Speaker 3 (39:59):
It's big. Yeah, Coo the fet cow zone. It's coming back.
Shots out.

Speaker 5 (40:05):
Everybody in Western Pa that's listening right now, they're gonna
feel that and feel real good about it and feeling.

Speaker 3 (40:10):
It's going to be deep. You know what I mean?

Speaker 4 (40:12):
Ye shouts out to the Yeah. A lot of a
lot of owls just turned their head listening, going who.

Speaker 7 (40:21):
Noat got your ass?

Speaker 10 (40:28):
You You hung on there for a second, then he
got to the hoop, he got your ass.

Speaker 3 (40:35):
Got tripped, y'all. Man is just pick on me?

Speaker 5 (40:39):
Man like that's like y'all live for just picking on me,
you know, And that's fine.

Speaker 3 (40:45):
It's okay.

Speaker 7 (40:46):
Damn, you're a big brother.

Speaker 9 (40:47):
Always wanted we got agitated trade spot.

Speaker 3 (40:54):
No, we will never trade spots.

Speaker 5 (40:55):
I could never be Lee a representation of how I'm
being treated or things that I do.

Speaker 3 (41:01):
It just went work out that way. Lee is one
of a kind.

Speaker 4 (41:05):
Sir, My gold Spie College Colors Day?

Speaker 13 (41:08):
