Speaker 2 (01:29):
And we got a thief in the house.
Speaker 3 (01:35):
What's going on?
Speaker 2 (01:35):
And not today? Not today? Any all? Got a problem day?
Problem here? Damn, we got a problem here.
Speaker 4 (01:46):
So you really carry that everywhere you go? Heh Yeah?
Is that legal?
Speaker 2 (01:50):
Is that?
Speaker 5 (01:50):
Like?
Speaker 4 (01:50):
Are the laws around it totally different thing than where
you're at?
Speaker 2 (01:54):
Totally legal?
Speaker 4 (01:56):
What are saying? Are there some places that outlaw firearms?
Speaker 2 (01:58):
You got's like it's not really considered a firearm. That's
why it's legal. So yeah, you know, it's just the
education of it and knowing now I can't The crazy
thing is I can travel with it. I would have
to get a air the air deals that go into them.
I have air repellets. It's not the pellets, it's the
(02:22):
because it's it's not a real gun, it's like it's
like an air gun. So the air tubes that go
in there, you would have to get that at the
location where you're at. But other than that, you could
travel with it.
Speaker 3 (02:35):
Have you shot the animals anything?
Speaker 2 (02:37):
No, I'm not that type of dude. If I'm shooting,
I'm either target practicing on like a real target, or
I'm I'm live skunk. I wish, I wish I was
strapped when I when the skunk, But I didn't. I
never saw it. I never saw I just saw it
sticks running like like all crazy, like I knew something bad,
(02:59):
had a problem. Yeah, it was a bad thing. Yeah,
so he's been around. It's either he or she. But
it's very aggressive because it has I mean, and more
aggressive than some of these new coaches that that we
had at the college football level. They didn't too many
of them didn't fear too well, you know, some of
(03:20):
the high profiles. But that's you know, that's here nor there.
I'm just saying, I wish I could have busted a
cap in that skunk.
Speaker 4 (03:27):
That's somewhere. That's that's probably right now, that's what it's at.
Speaker 2 (03:30):
Oh yeah, well yeah, I guess you're right. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (03:32):
The the Bill Belichick er at North Carolina's off.
Speaker 2 (03:35):
It started off amazing great. I mean, that was what
you thought it was going to be, right, They went
right down the field. You know, and then played a
little defense and then the game started.
Speaker 3 (03:48):
Then the rest of the game took place and it.
Speaker 1 (03:50):
Was like whoah, Yeah, TCU had a ten to seven lead,
and then there was a pick six and it was
just like boom.
Speaker 2 (04:00):
And they needed some too. That's the sound effect you're making,
you know. I've heard that before us for something else.
So if they came out really hard in that first
that first that first set of plays, that first drive,
they needed some They needed some assistance after that, Yeah,
(04:22):
that was not ideal.
Speaker 1 (04:24):
It was still kind of I was look, I North
Carolina plus three and a half follow in it.
Speaker 3 (04:30):
That's my fault. I'll wear that one there.
Speaker 2 (04:33):
That's a bad What was Quinn? What was Quinn's wins?
What was your pick on this one?
Speaker 6 (04:39):
I would not have selected North Carolina for a few reasons.
I didn't select the game, but had I, I would
have gladly laid the points.
Speaker 4 (04:48):
Even though you don't love three and a half as
a number.
Speaker 6 (04:52):
TCU and Sunny Dykes, I mean, this is not like
a program that's an upstart or in some sort.
Speaker 4 (04:57):
Of rebuild mode.
Speaker 6 (04:59):
Outside of the sp of Josh Ouver their quarterback being
a furry that dude can sling it. So I think
there was so many more questions around North Carolina and
what this is going to look like. And you can
sense from Bill Belichick. I know people wrote it off
as this is just Bill Belichick saying typical Bill Belichick things,
(05:19):
but when he was like, we just hope to take
care of the football and fundamentally sound as I was like,
all right, mayet their ass kicked, because this is a
team that's again not that long removed from playing for
a national championship. TCU has some pieces and they are
kind of reloading they try.
Speaker 4 (05:40):
To make a run the Big twelve this year.
Speaker 1 (05:43):
Bill Belichick did speak after Yeah he did, and I
want to sounded like this, Oh well, it was.
Speaker 7 (05:49):
A great, you know, great atmosphere here for the game tonight.
You know, fans were at tremendous injury energy walk and
you know, we played competitively but just couldn't sustain it.
So obviously we have a lot of work to do.
You know, he did do a better job all the
way around coaching, playing all three phases of the game.
(06:09):
Just wasn't up to what it needs to be. And
I know we're a lot better than that. So well,
need to you know, need to work on those things
and show it on Saturday and quick turnaround. But you know,
get TCU credit. They came in it did a good
job and they were clearly the better team tonight. You know,
they deserved to win and they did it decisively.
Speaker 2 (06:30):
There you go. I mean you had Lt. Michael Jordans.
Speaker 4 (06:35):
Yeah, and none of that mattered.
Speaker 2 (06:38):
I mean you had Randy Moss in the building.
Speaker 4 (06:42):
You Randy.
Speaker 2 (06:43):
I mean it was a who's who of people. He
had the same environment, had the same environment.
Speaker 1 (06:51):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (06:51):
I mean it's a sad thing that they pete it away.
Speaker 3 (06:56):
He had Travis Hunter and Sanders or whatever.
Speaker 6 (06:59):
Yeah, if you if you think about their debut, if
you think about the debut of Coach Prime, they played
TCU and beat them. Well, yeah, but that game could
have gone either way. They beat all the close one. Yeah,
they did what I'm saying, like it was tu right
there at their place.
Speaker 4 (07:17):
It wasn't like I was like, oh no, they beat
It could have gone either way.
Speaker 6 (07:20):
I remember, I remember a couple of things we were
there for. I will say, you know, Prime took a
l this this week. Two First, I just feel.
Speaker 2 (07:30):
Like all these guys, you know, Mike Vick, DeShawn Jackson,
I mean Eddie George Fared Well, well, you know, I
think that was maybe about it, like for the high
profile famous former player quarterbacks, I mean or or you know, coaches.
Speaker 6 (07:48):
And I don't know, you only got one quarterback. I
mean I meant coaches, I don't know, back wide receiver.
Speaker 2 (07:54):
Yeah, yeah, I meant coaches, former high profile players.
Speaker 3 (07:59):
I think Sunny Dyke's was saying they were talking about
it during the game.
Speaker 2 (08:04):
They thought about last year, the year before last year year.
Speaker 1 (08:07):
Well, he just said that they didn't handle the playing
Dion Sander or coach with magnitude.
Speaker 2 (08:14):
They lost. They lost in the magnitude of the game.
They didn't lose the.
Speaker 1 (08:18):
Game, and you know they He kind of took a
little bit from that, but everybody will. By the way,
I didn't realize the significance because I remember when it happened,
but I don't know that we spent a lot of
time talking about it. Max Johnson's the severity of his
injury that he suffered, the leg injury. They showed the
scar going up his entire like the side of his
(08:38):
leg by his Femur Brad Johnson's son who was there,
and he got into the game because North Carolina starter
got hurt and threw a touchdown pass and I didn't
realize he almost lost his leg. Like I mean, I
remember it happening because it was week when it was
in the opener last year.
Speaker 3 (08:57):
But they showed the scarring last night during the game
and it was wild to look at.
Speaker 1 (09:03):
So that that was, you know, at least one feel
good moment for North Carolina.
Speaker 2 (09:06):
Have to forgive me everything else. I was watching Gilded
Era by then. Oh you were out. I was out, Damn,
I was out. I didn't see the finish of the games. Sorry, guys,
you were watching what the Gilded Era?
Speaker 4 (09:20):
The hell's that?
Speaker 2 (09:21):
Check it out. It's on Pride. I mean, if you're
into that type of stuff, you know, I don't know
what that don't You got to check it out. Yeah,
it's it's like an old school movie, but a gilded age. Yeah,
it's pretty Dope's very inspiring, you know, just how they
did things back then. Okay, you know, set up of
the cribs and you know, it was just pretty pretty
(09:44):
interesting set up of the cribs. Yeah, I mean, it
wasn't a great time for for my my group of people.
But we were making it. We were making moves a
little bit though, you know, but it's still inspired. You
know what about leaset type of people like Elbow, These
type of people were hanging out with my type of people.
They were probably in the kitchen or handling buggy duties,
(10:07):
you know, cart you know, make sure that the ladies
were were getting on the you know, to their destinations
by boards carriage properly. I don't think Lee's people were
the main characters in the show, is what I'll say.
You know, Yeah, it's a good show, and it was
more interesting to get back to watching that and you know,
(10:29):
fighting for social status and trying to build your railroad
and all that stuff, versus watching the end of the
North Carolina TCU game. Yeah, that was the point that
I was sloppy. I needed to stimulate my mind and
that U n C t TCU game was not doing
that anymore. Noting that, no, no, it wasn't still a.
Speaker 4 (10:51):
Fun There was a lot of games that fall in
that category.
Speaker 2 (10:53):
For there there were yours wasn't one of them, though.
That was an intriguing guess.
Speaker 4 (10:59):
That was a good go. It's funny, like to recap
Week one.
Speaker 6 (11:04):
I would just generally say there was a lot of
good games, a lot of a lot of fun I
think we learned a lot about teams even in their losses,
Like that was one to me where somehow I feel
more optimistic about Notre Dame following that loss, in.
Speaker 4 (11:18):
Part because like, some of this stuff is fixable.
Speaker 6 (11:20):
You know, there's there's different things like I saw from
that game where you've got a new defensive coordinator and
Chris ash for Notre Dame and they're mixing in different
guys in different spots because I think they're trying to
kind of settle in on who's going to be the guy,
and there's that or even what the rotation is going
to be on defense.
Speaker 4 (11:37):
So like those things are easily fixable.
Speaker 6 (11:39):
The offensive line first time going up against with that group,
going up against a really good group of edge rushers
for Miami, there were some you know, there's some guys
who will come back to or starters who weren't there.
But you're trying to figure all that stuff out. The
one thing though, is that QB.
Speaker 4 (11:56):
CJ. Carr is a baller.
Speaker 6 (11:58):
Like that young man was poised to his tough made
plays when he needed to let his team right back
into it to have a shot there at the end.
I know people were like, you know, people were frustrated
Jeremiah Love didn't get more touches, which.
Speaker 4 (12:11):
I look at it and say, I get the frustration.
Speaker 6 (12:13):
The problem is he had over twenty five percent of
the targets slash touches.
Speaker 2 (12:18):
And they were thumping him too. I mean it was yeah,
I didn't.
Speaker 4 (12:22):
Expect, but everyone's bettering, everyone's low.
Speaker 2 (12:25):
I mean he was getting up slow though. I didn't
like it, like late in the game, so it's too early.
Is that Is that his personality to get up slow? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (12:32):
Oh yeah, he's trying to jump over everyone all the time.
Speaker 2 (12:35):
You know.
Speaker 6 (12:36):
Jenerium Price went in there. He had a really nice
series where he drove right down the field. So I
don't know what you said.
Speaker 2 (12:43):
I say, well the ft Jeremida and I was I
was concerned for him. But if that's nothing. How Jim
Brown used to get up too though He's exactly like
he was.
Speaker 4 (12:50):
Hurt exactly all right, that's exactly.
Speaker 2 (12:52):
I was like concerned for him, like Iang really hitting him.
Speaker 1 (12:55):
If you if you go and I know we're going
to get into the Texas side of it. It in
that lost to Ohio State. But if you're well, if
you're a team that's got the balls, do you got
to talk about it real time?
Speaker 2 (13:08):
Yeah, because if you if you go on the.
Speaker 1 (13:10):
Road week one, especially in some of these environments like
and you can you know it, Alabama a whole other conversation, Alabama.
Speaker 2 (13:19):
Don't do what you're about, dude, Jonas, don't don't do
what you're.
Speaker 1 (13:22):
To go on the road in week one in a
difficult place like that, Like it's not like Notre Dame
one on the road.
Speaker 6 (13:27):
We don't need to talk about Penn State. You guys, don't.
Plenty one did a great win. You didn't play anything
we didn't, all right, so let's talk about the big boys.
Then I was talking about the Big Four. I'm just
saying you can't. I'll get the count of the back.
We're not gonna talk Penn State because.
Speaker 2 (13:42):
I'm break up Penn State. We had a fine weekend.
I was done with the game at half time. I
was actually done with that. Exactly the unc GT. We're
excited for them to play so at some point this
season this week, what what one Brady Quinn just did
is that's where proper, And I was not trying to
(14:04):
attack Jonah. I was not. That was proper joning etiquette.
You take the attention off of where the attention was
and you put it on something else, and you do
it where the person that was about the joan now
has to do what I'm doing, which is defend what
was thrown out there. I was not bringing up Penn State.
I was not. And and again you're you're one hundred
(14:26):
percent right. Nevada was not going to be that big
of a challenge. I saw some really fine things take
place with our team, But I wasn't going to make
it about Penn State. I was making it about the fact.
Speaker 6 (14:38):
That you.
Speaker 2 (14:40):
Were about you were about you were about to put
arch Manning in purgatory until he gets to a better game.
Speaker 4 (14:51):
I was not.
Speaker 3 (14:51):
I was not about to do that.
Speaker 2 (14:52):
Okay, we'll go ahead and finish what you were going
to say about arch Manning going into the horse.
Speaker 4 (14:56):
You go, thank you.
Speaker 1 (14:57):
My point was, if you're one of these teams and
you go on the road, you dare to go on
the road and take on you know, a quality opponent
is in week one.
Speaker 2 (15:09):
You deserve a lot of credit for that. That's why.
Speaker 1 (15:11):
Look the ls US win over Clemson, Brian Kelly was
winless in season openers with LSU. They five straight as
a program. The fact that they won that game even better.
But if they lost that one too, I'd be like, listen.
But they went on the road. That's a difficult environment.
Same for Notre Dame. That crowd was juiced up on whatever.
(15:31):
They were juiced up on, the sugar Texas.
Speaker 2 (15:35):
The pink thing, all that. You know, they had all
kinds of stuff going on. Man, Mike Irvin was leading
the charge. Mike was leading the chart because sweating my back,
my knees, my shoulders, my neck, everything was hurt. And
watching Mike jump around the way that he was doing, like, god, bless,
(15:59):
I love my team. I can't do all that jumping around.
Speaker 1 (16:01):
Man.
Speaker 2 (16:02):
That's sorry. It's not for the first game. At least,
maybe I might lose it in the championship round, but
god dang, not the first game out, Mike, Come on,
save some of that energy. You.
Speaker 1 (16:13):
Oh.
Speaker 3 (16:14):
Fun weekend though, fun weekend.
Speaker 2 (16:16):
It was a great weekend. It was, It really was.
Speaker 4 (16:19):
Can we have the conversation though about ours?
Speaker 6 (16:21):
Because look, he started games before and everyone acts like
that was his first start. It was his first road start.
It was his first you know time attempting to pass
on the road. But people act like, oh, this was
his competition back in high school.
Speaker 4 (16:37):
This is why he struggled so much. Like dude, he
played throughout the course of the playoffs.
Speaker 6 (16:42):
It wasn't like he hasn't been in in bigger moments,
like the kid is very capable of being a quarterback.
Speaker 2 (16:49):
That's the defending national title holders.
Speaker 6 (16:52):
Like well, but but but that's that's one thing. They
lost fourteen guys the NFL Draft. They eight new starters
on defense, so right, so, and they have a new
defenseve coordinator, NEWK coordinator. There's a lot of changes. Like,
I don't chalk that up to well, that's the defending
national because there's not many guys coming back from that team.
Speaker 4 (17:10):
I mean, they have a new starting quarterback for that
for that matter.
Speaker 6 (17:13):
But what I would say is what I would say
is this, it's not just a state Like Matt Patricia
came in and literally did a master's class on how
to make a quarterback feel about as uncomfortable and lack
confidence as anyone I've ever seen. Like his ability to
kind of put in coverages and disguise looks and pressures
(17:35):
to get to the point where where every time march
Manding dropped back and I went through every throw, every
play yesterday, there's nowhere to go to the football like.
There was a few times where you know, he made
some throws in particular, once he finally found a rhythm
there more than a two minute drive at the end
of the game to touchdown, pass the ball at the
sideline to the tight end.
Speaker 4 (17:55):
There was a couple in there.
Speaker 6 (17:56):
But for the most part, like his fundamentals weren't great,
he seemed like he was completely off rhythm, off timing
with what the offense called to do. You know, sometimes
he got lazy with it. Everyone's gonna go back to
the throw to Ryan Wingoing on the shallow cross where
he threw it behind him. There's no doubt he forced
some footballs in there too. But go back and watch
the tape, Like I'm not sitting there saying, oh that
(18:17):
he missed a bunch of throws or missed a bunch
of reads.
Speaker 4 (18:20):
There was nothing there for him.
Speaker 6 (18:22):
Like that is as good a defense as you will
see the entire season, especially for a big game.
Speaker 4 (18:28):
Give Ohouse State credit and the pass for us.
Speaker 6 (18:31):
What was interesting about is, you know, people tend to
kind of confuse when you say something like this.
Speaker 4 (18:36):
They were rushing to contain him.
Speaker 6 (18:39):
They weren't necessarily rushing to sack him first, if you
understand what I'm saying. Yeah, Like they were rushing to
make sure that he didn't get outside the pocket and
they try to suffocate it out around him. And it
was interesting watching it on tape because you could tell
he wanted to leave the pocket, he wanted to try
to get out and run, and he felt like he
was like he couldn't really see he could really get
(19:00):
out where he wanted to, you know, be able to
see the field a little bit better. And I think
it was really unsettling for him. And so for that game,
in that moment, to have a performance like that, Yeah,
it looks it looks crappy. Everyone's gonna come at you.
Now that we live in a world of social media
where any swinging Joe can make a comment, I hope
he puts the blinders in your muffs on. I hope
(19:21):
he's able to overcome it because the kids got talent
ability and I think this is still a really good team,
like The one thing I'd say about all through the
top ten matchups is those six teams, because there's three
of those games, they're all gonna be a playoff team.
Like I can promise you that I would be shocked
if LSU, Clemson, Ohio State, Texas Saturday in Miami don't
make the playoff because all like those those teams, like Wall,
(19:44):
those games looked it looked like big boys playing. It
looked like a different level of the sport than everything
else that I watched this weekend.
Speaker 2 (19:52):
They definitely showed that they can bounce back, and especially
Notre Dame you seeing their personality last year. I've said
it before. If you're going to lose a game, lose
it early. If you're gonna lose a big game, lose
it early.
Speaker 3 (20:07):
Especially with the expanded playoffs.
Speaker 2 (20:09):
Ye, lose it early.
Speaker 1 (20:10):
It's not as punitive as it was, you know, if
you were counting on it.
Speaker 4 (20:13):
Really it doesn't matter that much.
Speaker 6 (20:14):
I mean, how State took the worst loss they've had
in the Ohio State Michigan rober this still made it.
Speaker 3 (20:18):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (20:19):
I just say lose it early because you get it
out of the way, You get the pressure of being
undefeated out of the way. You could sit there and say,
you know, we got to get better and how did
we lose that? Or or that was a really good
game that we played and it's just early we lost it.
Let's get better. I think it gives you like a
different mindset knowing that you got that loss out of
the way, because in college sports, especially in football, there's
(20:43):
this idea of going undefeated, and sometimes going undefeated is
more becomes more of a focal point than winning games.
And I know that might sound like weird, like what
you mean if you go undefeed, it that means you win. No,
I'm saying the ultimate goal, like what Ohio State was
a to do, or even though There Dame was able
to do to even play for the national title. The
(21:04):
ultimate goal is to make it to the end and
be able to play for a national title. It doesn't
say you got to be undefeated to do that, but
I think sometimes there's unnecessary pressure that that mounts up
when you have an undefeated season goal. It's like a
no no picture going right. It's like the closer you
get to that no no hitter going on, not no picture,
(21:26):
but no hitter. The closer you get it's really not
about your effectiveness of making sure like you do what
you need to do to what it's surviving to trying
to get it right. So I mean get it out
of the way. I mean play a big game. You
reaped the spoils of winning early on, but that could
be false. Just like losing early on you you garner
(21:47):
all of the venom and all of the hate that
comes your way when you lose a big one or
you lose one early, but you have a whole entire
season to play your way out of it. So I mean,
I don't I don't see it as a bad thing.
It's just all about out the leadership and how the
coaches and the players respond to having a first you know,
first week where they lose the game.
Speaker 1 (22:06):
The arch Manning hype train he was, it was going
to be next to impossible for him to live up
to all the hype that was going into it. Like
you had people pointing out all the Heisman odds are
changing mid game and this.
Speaker 3 (22:19):
Is going it's like Jesus who started that?
Speaker 2 (22:23):
Like who started this whole? All?
Speaker 3 (22:25):
You know, Arch Manning is going to be the gonna
win the Heisman.
Speaker 2 (22:28):
He's gonna for what it's worth jonas. If a kid
is going to have a real legitimate shot of winning
the Heisman, there has to be somewhat of a little
bit of a hype train, even if it's not a
super large one, and like you want to keep them
under wraps, you still got to have a hype train
coming into it. I mean that's what you want to have.
You want the spotlight on you if that's what you're
(22:49):
going for, and sometimes you don't ask for it. It's
just a part of the way you played or what's
connected to you.
Speaker 1 (22:56):
Or it could build up during the season, not before
the season actually starts, and we're talking about.
Speaker 2 (23:02):
That's fair too, but but there might be a guy
outs ahead of you based off of the hype train
they had coming into the season.
Speaker 3 (23:08):
By the way, what was the scene like there in Columbus?
Speaker 4 (23:11):
That was incredible.
Speaker 6 (23:12):
I mean it felt like as big of a college
football game as I've ever been around. Been a part of,
like the crowds, the anticipation, just the way I think
the intensity in the stadium.
Speaker 4 (23:24):
I mean you can feel it. I mean obviously it
was a low scoring game. Also, like how State ran
away with it, so.
Speaker 6 (23:28):
You know, as Texas kind of started amount of comeback
and make it really interesting and there in the end,
you know, we're some of the guys are watching, going man,
I got a flight to catch, but I'll gladly stay
for this if it goes into overtime, you know, with
the type of atmosphere was but it was it felt
like a playoff atmosphere.
Speaker 4 (23:47):
I mean, it felt different than other games you're part of.
Speaker 6 (23:50):
So it's you know, it's hard to describe to people,
but it's like college football has this feel. We're just
it feels there's something about the authentic, genuine feel, nostalgic feel, tradition,
all the things that go along with it. This was
like another level above that. And I don't know how
how to put it into words, but I guess if
you were a part of any of the playoff games
(24:11):
last year, like it felt like there was a lot
on the line, and obviously no one's getting eliminated right now,
but it felt like it was about the Big Ten
versus the SEC. It felt like it was about arch
Manning's heisman opportunity, your heisman chances. It felt like it
was about an Ohio State team that feels like they
are good enough to repeat for a national championship.
Speaker 4 (24:31):
It felt like every single.
Speaker 6 (24:33):
Narrative that was out there that was a part of
this game, Like you're saying how the Heisman odds are
changing during it felt like all of that was going
on at once.
Speaker 4 (24:43):
That's how big it felt.
Speaker 1 (24:44):
Yeah, the presentation on TV was great. Like it it
felt massive. When you were doing the pregame and my
son walks in the.
Speaker 3 (24:54):
Room, Papa, Papa.
Speaker 1 (24:57):
He's watching the games, watching the pregame, and I'm like,
go comes to Yeah, I told him. I was like, hey,
I'm all, well, you know what you know, Uncle Brady,
that's that's my friend.
Speaker 2 (25:05):
That's him. Did you say go cubs to play?
Speaker 4 (25:07):
Wait?
Speaker 2 (25:08):
Wait wait wait wait wait do you see uncle Brady
that's my friend. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (25:14):
Well I'm trying you do you do know.
Speaker 2 (25:16):
Like uncle and friend Like that's kind of you know,
uncle is family, not not friends.
Speaker 6 (25:22):
Yeah, but we're using it in the way that way
you know, you know you'd use it.
Speaker 2 (25:26):
Well, you mean, what do you mean?
Speaker 4 (25:28):
What I mean?
Speaker 2 (25:28):
What do you mean? Oh?
Speaker 6 (25:29):
You know that's that's my cousin. That's my cousin. That's
actually not cousin. What do you mean?
Speaker 2 (25:35):
Wait? Oh no, what do you say, Brady exactly? Are
you insinuating that black people call everybody cousin uncle cousin.
Speaker 4 (25:46):
There's a lot of that going. I trust me, My
kids got.
Speaker 2 (25:48):
To call a lot of people. I call him that
nephew uncle Labar. Won't you let him finish? Cauz.
Speaker 3 (25:55):
So but tell me I'm wrong?
Speaker 4 (25:58):
No, no, no, tell me I'm wrong right now, wrote.
Speaker 1 (26:02):
Bro.
Speaker 4 (26:02):
It's a.
Speaker 1 (26:06):
Yeah, he's watching he's watching you on TV. He goes,
he's my friend too, he's my friend too. I was like,
you're right, you're right, he is your friend.
Speaker 2 (26:13):
That's right. But but cool.
Speaker 4 (26:14):
He doesn't care about football. He doesn't care about football.
Speaker 1 (26:17):
Okay, Papa, we go throw ball? He Papa, he saw it.
He still thinks to Nitney, Lyon is a wolf. So
we're watching the Penn State game.
Speaker 3 (26:26):
He goes the Wolves, the Wolves, and so you get
the wolves.
Speaker 2 (26:29):
Yeah, but it was.
Speaker 1 (26:31):
It was like the whole scene was fantastic. It looked
like everybody was gassed up. But did you see Albert
Breer by the way?
Speaker 2 (26:37):
Was he there?
Speaker 1 (26:37):
Was?
Speaker 2 (26:37):
He?
Speaker 4 (26:38):
I did saw Albert. He came by with his fam.
I told uh, his his two boys.
Speaker 6 (26:43):
I said, hey, guys, now, you gotta be good for mom, okay,
because sometimes you guys actually make our national radio show.
And he was hours gonna laughing, but no, it was great.

Speaker 4 (29:06):
Barn's got a right end sideline out of the forty.
Speaker 2 (29:09):
Out of the.

Thirty, they don't have an ego.

your tire rack play of the day. For over forty years,
Tiraq has been helping customers find the right tires for how,
what and where they drive. Shipped fast and freeback by

mobile tire Installation tire raq dot Com the way tire
buying should be. You think Belichick's just gonna wear those
(29:38):
guys out, like you think he's just gonna idle. You
think it's the new era.
Speaker 6 (29:43):
The hardest part about it is you can't pull some
of the tactics you do in the NFL, where you
can just move on from a guy, bring some guy
in off the street, doesn't work like that. You've got
to actually use the guys in your roster because the
windows for the portal or how that. Like, you're into
the season now, you can't pull guys in off the street.
Speaker 2 (30:03):
You gotta make.
Speaker 6 (30:04):
Guys who are their work. They got to grow, they've
got to improve and get better. So it's gonna be
interesting to see how he handles that. I mean, they've
got seventy new players for people who don't get that,
thirty new freshmen, forty new transfer players. That's the entire roster. Basically,
Basically there's one hundred and eight on the roster. It's
(30:25):
only thirty eight of the kids had been on the
roster from before. I mean, I know, we look at
other people like Prime was able to do it, and
they won some games this first even though it really
didn't equate to a ton of wins. They just kind
of got off to a decent start then fell apart.
But everyone stopped paying attention at that point. They kind
of forget they fail to remember that. So I just
(30:47):
caution people like these sorts of huge overhauls. It's not
gonna happen overnight. I'm sorry, it's just not. And no
one's been able to do that successfully at the college
football level, not that sort of hostsale change to have success.
Speaker 2 (31:02):
I think it should be stated that aspiring new head
coaches that get out there, listen, there's a process, and
you gotta you gotta a bide by the process. You
gotta be true to the process, and sometimes losing is
a part of that. I mean, that was not a
(31:23):
cupcake first game. It just wasn't. They could have, you know,
Bill Belichick could have started his tenure as the head
coach against a a very you know what would be
considered a much lesser of an opponent and got off
to the start that they wanted. They took a better
they took a bigger game.
Speaker 4 (31:41):
The schedule was already set. That's only the ship.
Speaker 2 (31:44):
Well however, whatever, right, Like I just look at it
like it could have it could have been set up
for them for him to be in a situation to
have a better first first game out, And I think
that's more of the point that that I'm trying to make.
And at the end of the day, if if we're
looking at it from the standpoint of who qualifies versus
who doesn't. Sometimes you just got it. Somebody has coaching
(32:06):
experience and they're aspiring to be a coach. It doesn't
matter if you're a big time Super Bowl winning champ
you know that comes into the coaching of college, or
if you have maybe not as much you know, accolades
or a background, and it just comes down to are
(32:29):
you able to create a really good coaching staff. Can
you create an environment that is positive and non toxic
to the people that are in it and build it
like you don't just come in because Okay, oh we're
going to hire Bill Belichick, and Bill Belichick is automatically
going to transform your program into a national championship program.
(32:52):
Now it's one game. But at the same time, he
had the same results that probably many coaches would have
stepping in to the coaching ranks of college. Hey, real quickly,
we didn't touch on the first segment. How was happy Valley?
How was it?
Speaker 4 (33:06):
I was wonderful, Junior, your daughter.
Speaker 2 (33:09):
He didn't play at all, Like, they didn't put him
on the field, They did not show him at all.
And you know, he he he was uncomfortable about it. Hey,
Like I said, what was good for the goose is
good for the gander. So I don't just talk about
you know things, I mean it and I and I
live it. And my daughter got more airtime than him,
(33:29):
so you know, you're you're uh, your people's Jenny Jenny
Dale came in and did uh. She did a pre
interview with us, you know, about the game and this,
that and the other and what it represented. Like you said,
my daughter's cheering and my son is playing. They're twins
and I'm there, so it's kind of it was a
pretty cool deal.
Speaker 6 (33:49):
My daughter saw that moment and TV wasn't on like
volume because I was traveling at that point, but I
saw it and like they they showed you talking to someone,
it was like yeah, man later, okay, because Nate Burrows
and sons on the other team on Invada where he played,
so it was like a family affair type of game.
Speaker 2 (34:08):
It's pretty cool. But my daughter is the one that
made CPS. Like you know how they come in and
go out to commercials and they show cutaways with like
the cheerleaders and stuff like that. So they made it
a point to show her. So she made CBS while
man man was sitting on the bench and I was like,
hey man, that's how these things work.
Speaker 3 (34:27):
There too.
Speaker 2 (34:28):
Big Dom was there. Yeah, he was there. He's like
one of the biggest celebrities there. Oh no, he only
had one on. Now, bro, like he's a full grown
grown man. Now, full grown grown man. He looked good.
Man had his wife and his family with him, like
it was good. It was cool. He was showing everybody
the new one. He had on all his rings, like
he wasn't playing around, you know, Big Dom. He came in,
(34:50):
he had his rings on. He's like, yeah, that's the
old one right there. Here's the new one. And the
new one. It's so big it doesn't even look like
it's real. Man. Then he they popped out the wings
on it. Stuff like that. It was cool, man.
Speaker 4 (35:03):
There's a lot of people the wings that pop out, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (35:07):
Got eagle wings. That joint that ring was like it
looked like a transformer, my gie, a diamond encrusted transformer.
Like it was going like turn into an eagle that
would fly him away, like you won the super Bowl.
We're going all in. This diamond eagle is going to
transform into some type of eagle craft that you can
(35:27):
jump on and fly away. That's how big that ring was.
Speaker 1 (35:31):
Got two rings now, huh yeah, you'd probably get a
third if you tried fencing. And by the way, if
you've ever wanted to try an Olympic or a Paralympic sport,
try fencing. It's fast, it's safe, it's easy to start.

morning LeVar.
Speaker 9 (37:06):
Yeah, whatever, guys, In case you missed it, the UH
THEOSO celebrated NFL network's top one hundred players in the
NFL featured UH Well. It closed out yesterday top ten,
Saquon Barkley number one, beating a Lamar Jackson number two.
Speaker 1 (37:22):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (37:23):
How about that? Voted on by the peer by their peers.
Saquon Barkley number one. We just produced, guys, We just
got to get a national title somewhere here soon, you know,
we produced guys. So Josh Allen was the MVP?
Speaker 3 (37:36):
Was he three?
Speaker 2 (37:37):
I think I saw That's what I'm saying. Sawon Barkley
should have been the MVP of the league. I mean,
let's be clear.
Speaker 4 (37:42):
Yeah, but he votes on it again.
Speaker 2 (37:44):
That tires the player players.
Speaker 6 (37:46):
Yeah, I kinda kind of tells the story, although didn't
Aaron Donald used to always win.
Speaker 2 (37:53):
Aaron Donald should have been the MVP of the league too. Probably,
It's just I just hate that they give it the quarterback.
Speaker 4 (38:01):
Look, I'm right there with you, Like I do feel
like the Quarterback Award.
Speaker 6 (38:04):
Or the MVP, there's a premium that's put on the
position and people can't see the differentiate the two. Like
it's like it's like not rewarding your sales manager for
like blowing it out of the park just because you're
the CEO, the CEO taking all the credit.
Speaker 1 (38:19):
Why should why should Saquon Barkley be rewarded when he
quit on his team in the final week of the season.
Speaker 4 (38:24):
Yeah, I thought that wasn't his decision. Levard do you
know anymore?
Speaker 2 (38:28):
Yeah, you know Jonas is a weirdo for that he's
really a weird Okay, okay, you know that man sat
there wanted to break that record, but put it in
his coach and hands and make the decision. Why they'll
never live that one down. For me, I don't know
why would you not give him the opportunity to go
for that that record. I still it still mystifies me
(38:51):
that you did not put him in to get the record. Like,
let's go in. I know why I shouldn't play our
starters and look, somebody gets hurt, they gets football, y'all
put them in get the record. That's all. And yeah,
he didn't quit on his team, Jonas Lead, do you
have s He's not Jerry Jones. He didn't quit on
his team.
Speaker 3 (39:12):
Sek On Barkley on any of your five fantasy football team.
Speaker 9 (39:15):
No, I never had to pick higher than number five,
So no, I do not have on any of my
teams five teams.
Speaker 2 (39:21):
You did the Roberto draft yesterday, right, I did. I
did do my Roberto draft. Roberto doing he's doing, he's doing.
You're still black dog.
Speaker 6 (39:33):
Dang all those things simple? You know, he doesn't ever
complicate things.
Speaker 4 (39:42):
He's really good.
Speaker 2 (39:45):
Between Lorna. You have have taken up the void very
nicely though.
Speaker 3 (39:51):
Oh it's okay.
Speaker 6 (39:52):
I never no, no, I mean we felt like appreciate you.
You can appreciate you and still miss out.
Speaker 2 (39:58):
Everybody. Everybody can this the way for different things, that's
for sure. That is very true, super true.
