the planet with it?
Speaker 4 (01:22):
Is this her new song?
Speaker 3 (01:23):
Don't put that on me? Even though I love Kendrick
I know. I mean Lorena had the lived that wasn't this.
Ain't me what you're assuming because it's a black man
singing a song.
Speaker 1 (01:36):
Let's come in hot, Let's divert the attention. Damn dang.
Just ask a question. I'm an angry black man today.
Speaker 3 (01:44):
Accept it. I'm standing up for all of those those
Uh take a lapse out there.

Speaker 4 (02:38):
I said, I haven't heard from Lee.
Speaker 2 (02:39):
Yeah, yeah, I talk to him a couple of days ago.
How you're going, Yeah, you know you're good, hanging in there, surviving, standing, alad, dodging, ducking.
Speaker 3 (02:54):
You know, trying to uh yeah, you do know that
that's gonna call for an ex rant. You do know
that's coming now that you said it, all right, because
now we're being monitored.
Speaker 4 (03:07):
Well yeah, man, I think did someone reach out on
social media?
Speaker 1 (03:11):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (03:11):
Yeah, yeah, just a friendly piece of advice. You're going
to create a burner account, I don't know.
Speaker 3 (03:18):
Make sure that people don't figure out that your burner account,
like off the bat immediately.
Speaker 2 (03:23):
Yeah, Like first first, Hey, what's that?
Speaker 5 (03:28):
Well, let's just go ahead and look through the history
of our tweets to the show. No one really writes
a paragraph, all right, So that was kind of a
dead giveaway. And then also no one really writes in
defense of uh, you know certain people on the show,
so that was also a dead giveaway.
Speaker 3 (03:45):
Yeah, so it's just I carry a burner, so do
not come up in here with that. I will less sisters,
I will less lethal your I won't do anything.
Speaker 1 (03:57):
But I got sisters. I would whoop that ass.
Speaker 3 (03:59):
I got a sister too, and she would, well, she
wouldn't even I'm not gonna get her involved, but.
Speaker 1 (04:04):
I will say this. You get a sister I got.
I got a peacemaker with me.
Speaker 3 (04:10):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (04:12):
Now go on home and what's that? What's burnoup too?
Hey man?
Speaker 3 (04:18):
That thing can go from safe to fire real quick. Bruh,
that thing. You're listen, whether you're a male or female,
I don't feel no type of way about it.
Speaker 1 (04:33):
You gotta see LeVar Watson studio. He's got his burnout.
I don't feel no type of way about it. On
everything she's wearing like workout shorts.
Speaker 2 (04:41):
He's got his burner hanging halfway out of his front pocket.
Speaker 1 (04:44):
No holster, no nothing, nope, just ready to go, ready
to go. That's that p A and them right there.
I'm ready to go, and you get it.
Speaker 5 (04:54):
Penn State's got a big one. They got a big
one this week. He do, he's he's lockloaded, he's ready.
Speaker 1 (05:00):
I am locked and loaded.
Speaker 5 (05:01):
This is a defining moment for Penn State. Really, James
Franklin Era, for all the guys that are on this roster,
guys who came back. I mean, it's it is. It
is a monumental game.
Speaker 1 (05:12):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (05:13):
Yeah, I'll take our leadership. Like you said, I'll take
our leadership. We got a lot of leaders on that team, man,
I'll take our leadership. We got Jim Knowles leading, leading
the animals on on the defensive side, Colder Nikki is
in his his second year. I'll take I'll take what
we got. And I'm a I'm a big Oregon fan.
(05:33):
I'm a I'm a Taje fan, I'm a Landing fan.
I really like those guys. I'm high on what they're
doing with the program as as people. You know, I
think they do really well with what they got going on.
But listen, I'll take our leadership to seven days out
of the week leadership.
Speaker 5 (05:52):
The differentiating factor will be Penn State's running offense versus
Organ's rush defense.
Speaker 1 (05:59):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (05:59):
I mean, I I was there watching in Northwestern. Northwestern
kind of push around Oregon. Now, they obviously couldn't keep
up with them because they foot points. I have too
many points. It was just almost rush for two hundred
yards on them. I mean, they gave up some big
runs there at the end, but there was times where
when they wanted to run the football more Wan's stopping them. Yeah,
(06:23):
So there there's a certain element of physicality that I
am curious if Penn State, especially those two backs, but
that offensive line just bowys and pushes around Oregon up front,
because I watched it in first and versus Northwestern. Obviously
Northwestern isn'to the caliber of Penn State, so that to
me will be the deciding factor. If Penn State runs
the football, and I think they can they cover that number.
(06:45):
If they can't, and you try to make it like
into a you know, blow for blow, like let's play
the drop back passing game se wins, You're not gonna
win that matchup versus Oregon. You're just not The Dante
More kid is uber talented. He's in my opinion, he's
the best to back in the Bey ten mm hmm.
We got to absolutely rip the ball.
Speaker 3 (07:04):
I think we'll have I mean, our game plan is
our game plan, and I don't think that anybody would
ever look at it as being a secret. Now will
there be wrinkles. I like Cayron, our number number one,
you know, I like I like Panya, I like I
like what we have in our passing game. I like
Reynolds at at at tight end, like I like what
(07:25):
we have. And our offensive line is going to our
offensive line in our defensive line is going to be
What is the difference for Penn State if they can
handle If they can handle that for four quarters and
put points up on the board, I mean they I
would have to say they'll be the better team because
(07:46):
we're not. I don't I don't see people being able
to deal with the physicality of what I feel like
Ohio State Michigan might be the only team that can
deal with our physicality this year, and I don't even
know that they can. That's just my honest assessment of it,
just watching.
Speaker 5 (08:02):
How do you feel like you guys have been overly
physical though? Like it's hard to tell because you honestly
Penn State's played no one.
Speaker 1 (08:09):
Yeah, I think so.
Speaker 3 (08:10):
I think I think where people may be looking for
splash blowouts with the type of teams that that we've
played thus far, we have established what the personality of
this team was last year, and now you have and
now you have them coming back, a lot of them
came back this year, and and that physicality that that
(08:34):
has been executed this this early part of the season. Yes,
I think they have stayed true to what we're developing.
And that's why I don't think there will be a
shock in terms of when the level of play increases,
the level of talent going against Oregon, when it increases,
it's still going to be business as usual for what
they established.
Speaker 5 (08:54):
That's how I so let me right, let me just
give you people some objective analysis on this. Sure, Penn
State has not playing a team with the winning record yet.
They've played Villa Nova, which they failed to cover that game.
FIU failed to cover that game. I want to say, Nevada,
they may be covered, but in any sense, uh Nevada,
Florida inter National and Villanova the three opponents. They've obviously
(09:16):
got a buy going into this one, which helps. But
this was by far the toughest test by far, a
you know, different caliber of team ball and all that.
Speaker 4 (09:28):
So it will be interesting.
Speaker 1 (09:30):
I like that.
Speaker 3 (09:30):
I like that there it doesn't matter if they cover.
Covering is for betters. I like that they they're getting
their work done.
Speaker 4 (09:38):
That's what I so, right, And I think some people
might feel the way you do.
Speaker 1 (09:42):
That's fine. That's objective too, you know. I feel like
that's pretty objective.
Speaker 5 (09:47):
They and so the reason why, dude, you don't have
to get sensitive my god always, and this is how
this works.
Speaker 1 (09:55):
The people who create two ways, your way in my way.
How I'm not accepting of how yours worked, but go ahead.
Speaker 5 (10:03):
The people who create betting lines, they had these things
called like power kind of rankings.
Speaker 1 (10:08):
Right, there's a way in which they wait teams.
Speaker 3 (10:11):
So the same way they order Dame last year when
they lost that early game to a nobody team that
probably had a losing record, but they ended up playing
in the national title. Right, is that objective or is
that not objective? Which one is that?
Speaker 5 (10:23):
Well, I don't think that's the proper word. Okay's objective.
That's just like using your word. That's all I mean.
That's what you say. Because you are biased, So it's
our one objective. If you're biased, I'm one biased.
Speaker 1 (10:36):
Okay, sit this one out. I'm not going.
Speaker 3 (10:41):
You brought the conversation to me, I'm not going I'm
not going to sit it out. I'm going to sit
it in. I'm going to stand on it. Okay, then
let's get up the side of this.
Speaker 5 (10:52):
So if James Franklin and Penn stake with me, but
we come out next Monday and we have to have
the conversation off. Here we go again, another top five
opponent that Penn State loses to. We don't have to
hear your whole home bs. We could actually just go, hey,
this is what happened to the game. This is why
they lost. Yes, you'll talk about that.
Speaker 3 (11:11):
I'm okay doing that after the fact, but before the
I'm not doing that beforehand.
Speaker 1 (11:16):
You'll never You'll never.
Speaker 3 (11:18):
Let me tell you something. It's how you talk about
the people you love and care about when they're not
around versus when they are around. I never let them
all those people that sit there and try to talk
bad about you and Jonas when I see them out,
I don't let them talk bad about y'all. You know what,
because I love the respect your state. It's the same
thing with Penn State. I'm not gonna let nobody talk
(11:41):
bad about Penn State and they're not around.
Speaker 6 (11:44):
I'm going to stand up for them.
Speaker 1 (11:56):
Three fcs. How many tastes your team? Let me, don't
you even get involved.
Speaker 5 (12:05):
Let me pivot because Jonahs comes from the betting world,
and so he could give you advice in the sense
that Jonas, If a team doesn't beat a team by
what the spread is, is that not an indication that
they underperformed.
Speaker 3 (12:17):
Yes, you're talking to a degenerate gambler and opion. It's
the truth of degenerate. Five dollars, four dollars, three dollars.
Speaker 1 (12:29):
They performed under expectations.
Speaker 3 (12:31):
Yeah, that's what it means to the outside world, to
the betting or to people, to people who actually are
willing to.
Speaker 4 (12:38):
Put money on this.
Speaker 5 (12:39):
Like, that's the thing that you're not taking into account.
People don't do this for a business. They're willing to say,
I'm willing to put money on it. Sure, So every
decision that they make, they're putting money on Sure.
Speaker 1 (12:49):
That's actually way more deep the here's.
Speaker 3 (12:52):
The bottom line to me, we have not needed to
open up our playbook on offense or defense case. We
have not have to open up our playbook and subjective
objective whatever objective.
Speaker 1 (13:05):
You wanted it to be. The bottom line.
Speaker 3 (13:08):
Is is that they got their work done and we
won our games, and we're preparing for the ramp up
of what our season holds for us. And that's what
we're that's what we've done, and now we got a
big game in front I.
Speaker 2 (13:21):
She wouldn't ask you this because you made the comment
and we were breaking, so we didn't have a lot
of time to discuss it because we were ending an
hour I think it was a couple of weeks ago,
and LaVar you had said that you're rethinking the teams
that play less than opponents to open up the year
as opposed to the ones that play difficult teams. Yes,
because it have based on what you've seen around. College
(13:44):
football seasons are kind of altered, so you're I don't.
Speaker 3 (13:49):
Think you should play a hard game right out the gate.
I do not, because there is no preseason for these
guys to be able to say, let's work the kinks
out of what we got going going on, let's get
our I watched I go to every single home game,
and they've played a home.
Speaker 1 (14:05):
Game every single game.
Speaker 3 (14:07):
I watched how much quicker, how much stronger they were,
how how much better their execution has been from each single.
Speaker 1 (14:17):
Week that took place each week? I hope.
Speaker 2 (14:19):
So.
Speaker 3 (14:20):
Yeah, the most recent game coming from a what's y'all's record?
One and two coming from into Notre Dame represented it. Yeah,
we beat you, y'all wouldn't have beat us when I
was I would have played dodgeball with your long, tall last.
Speaker 6 (14:42):
I would I would played dodgeball with you, bro, I.
Speaker 1 (14:46):
Would have I would have threw you.
Speaker 3 (14:49):
I would have threw you back to the sideline where
your coach is and you would have been looking up
at him like I don't know. There's giants out there
running around, like did you see eighty six? Like Erney Brown,
he's trying to kill me, and then there's another.
Speaker 1 (15:03):
Guy over here he's trying. They're all trying to kill me.
Speaker 3 (15:06):
Coach, like you would not have you dealt with early thousand,
early two.
Speaker 1 (15:12):
Thousand Penn State and Midney lines. You didn't a good
line back. What year was that? What year? One thousand
and six? Yeah, right, two thousand and five.
Speaker 3 (15:24):
Now, if you would have played as two thousand and five,
we could talk about it. But we graduated a lot
of guys in five. Six was six was two thousand
and six was a very very awkward year for us
because we got a lot of guys left in six
or in O five. O five was the Orange Bowl team.
That's what Puzz and and and Connor. Puzz was there
(15:45):
six pal, Yeah, I get I get it. We graduated
a lot of guys, though just because Puzz was there doesn't.
Speaker 1 (15:51):
Mean that it was graduated. We graduated a lot of
guys from five team ten and it.
Speaker 3 (15:55):
Was probably two rebuild teams that played against each other that.
Speaker 4 (15:59):
The Sugar Bowl that you and I don't know what
you guys, some trash get out of here.
Speaker 1 (16:03):
What was y'all record? Ten and three? That's not bad?
I think Penn State.
Speaker 4 (16:10):
Penn State went nine and four that year.
Speaker 3 (16:12):
Well, we always go nine and four, So you just
got to look at the four. You don't look at
the nine. I don't look at the ten. I don't
look at the night look at the three, and I
look at the four.
Speaker 1 (16:20):
By the way, how oft I think?
Speaker 5 (16:21):
I think you guys lost to us who was like
top five Ohio State Michigan that year?
Speaker 4 (16:26):
You go maybe one other?
Speaker 2 (16:28):
By the way, how often the team.
Speaker 3 (16:29):
Which sounds like a normal air for town like State,
It'schigan sounds well, don't throw, do not throw? Notre Dame
in there. What's our all time records against each other?
Speaker 1 (16:43):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (16:46):
We were independent together. What is our I'm looking you
looking it up?
Speaker 1 (16:51):
Yeah, yeah, I don't. I am, I am, I am?
What is it? By the way, how uh how often.
Speaker 5 (17:00):
I love how you've gotten so far off of talking
about the actual point that's been be made that two
weeks ago you played an FCS team and you think
that they're better prepared.
Speaker 4 (17:09):
Mind you do?
Speaker 5 (17:09):
You know you started off number one in the country
and the polls Penn State, you know where they're at
now three because they haven't played anyone. Ohio State and Miami,
who both played harder Week one matchups and one granted,
are now ahead of them. Like it kind of does
play some of the better ones.
Speaker 1 (17:26):
We're I saw what you're looking at.
Speaker 2 (17:29):
It's ten Notre Dames up ten nine and one, because
that the Bowl game last.
Speaker 1 (17:35):
Year, right, ten nine and one?
Speaker 5 (17:36):
So what, Yeah, this conversation didn't go how you thought
it was gonna, did it.
Speaker 3 (17:41):
I mean, we're undefeated and y'all aren't. Like that's that's
how I'm that's fine.
Speaker 5 (17:47):
And just like last year that yes you pointed out
you can go eleven to one minutes what Penn State's.
Speaker 3 (17:51):
As y'all did not whoop any ass? By the way,
y'all won the game. Y'all won the game, won the game.
Speaker 1 (17:58):
That's fine.
Speaker 2 (17:59):
How often and the teams have four home games to
open up the year, it's kind of unique.
Speaker 4 (18:04):
Not very often.
Speaker 1 (18:05):
Well, we're not going to go travel to Villanova? Why not?
Could I even have a stadium? Well? No, that's the point.
Speaker 3 (18:13):
When you play get your Yeah, you get your money.
Y'all get y'all money while we get warmed up.
Speaker 5 (18:20):
When you're playing a bunch of cupcakes. That's what happens.
You don't go there. They you know, they come to
your place. And then you finally get in the schedule.
Speaker 1 (18:26):
Where did y'all play Waved? No, where's your home game
this weekend?
Speaker 5 (18:30):
In the Where.
Speaker 3 (18:33):
Did y'all play Northern Illinois last year? Where was that South.
Speaker 7 (18:39):
Nors before? That ever? Makes sense? It makes sense you have.
Speaker 3 (18:51):
Before that, I know by worried about where you played
before you lost to South Bend.
Speaker 1 (18:59):
Free weak opponents at home? Then you get to buy.
Speaker 3 (19:02):
Before or here comes four, Here comes four here comes four.
Speaker 1 (19:08):
Be objective. Be objective?
Speaker 3 (19:10):
All right, how about this, I'm being la How about
how butchered are you going to be by the time
that game kick? You know, I'm old man, I don't
I don't really get sawed off like that too much anymore.
Speaker 1 (19:23):
Man, can't do it. My body asked this question.
Speaker 5 (19:27):
Would you have a better chance of getting sawt off
if the game was early versus this game because it
be so late?
Speaker 3 (19:34):
Uh no, because I'm going to do radio and then
my tailgate is going to be jumping come to stick
City tailgate by the way. Yeah, yeah, I'm gonna be
I am going to be nice. I'll be very nice
by the time I go onto the field and see
them warm up. But you know, I'm I'm a public figure, man.
(19:55):
I don't do that public drunkenness type stuff. I'm very responsible,
you know, I'm super responsible.
Speaker 1 (20:01):
Like, you ain't gonna be like, oh, look at LeVar.
Speaker 3 (20:03):
He's over there, slurring his words, standing on the sideline
like like a branch in the wind. Like you're not like,
I'm not going to be on that. You're not going
to see me like a wind puppet. Yeah, you're not
gonna see me vulnerable.
Speaker 5 (20:15):
I'll see us three on the show. Probably can say that.
Not everyone on the show, though, you know.
Speaker 3 (20:22):
And y'all have seen me fried and let me tell
you something like we do what we do when when
all three of us were together in New Orleans and
we were we well, I don't know that you were
Fried Jonas. I think you're like, you know, you get scared?
Speaker 1 (20:37):
What do you mean? I know, me and Q was
when we all time. Me and Q was where we
needed to be.
Speaker 3 (20:42):
And you know what, it was probably the best night
in that hotel lobby that that hotel lobby maybe has
ever had ever.
Speaker 2 (20:48):
I got tackled while FaceTime of my wife by Brady
in the hotel lobby.
Speaker 1 (20:52):
People are looking at us like what do you guys
do it?
Speaker 2 (20:54):
It was a really good Wait was this the Thursday
before uh when Super Bowl?
Speaker 3 (20:59):
When we woke up Varsity Blues and came up out
of its trip club and had to go straight to school.
Speaker 1 (21:06):
That night.
Speaker 4 (21:07):
I don't remember tackling.
Speaker 1 (21:10):
I don't really.
Speaker 3 (21:10):
Remember anything other than yes, I remember this Imber being
upset and apologize it to us for how bad he played.
Speaker 4 (21:23):
Everyone. Everyone.
Speaker 5 (21:25):
I'm sorry, guy, Like what well? I talked to the
guys about the show, the entire golf. I don't think
like these guys now they feel like they know our
show and I'm just out here playing playing awful speaking up.
By the way, Ryder cups this week go Usa. Although
I want to send the clip to Lorena to see
(21:47):
if she can cut it up, because I do want
you guys to hear the difference between like a golf
pump up talk and like football.
Speaker 1 (21:53):
And it's it's hard.
Speaker 4 (21:55):
It's hard for me not to laugh at it, if that.
Speaker 1 (21:57):
Makes sense, and send it over. We'll get it, all.
Speaker 4 (22:00):
Right, see it right now. It's just you're gonna have
to listen to it.
Speaker 5 (22:02):
It's it's a few minutes, but it sounds very like,
all right, guys, let's let's make sure we go out
there and uh, let's do our best.
Speaker 4 (22:11):
You know, it's like it's not as as pumping up
as you think.
Speaker 1 (22:14):
So they're not spitting in each other's mouths like you know,
like a laddimer. And you know, there's a couple of lines,
there's a couple of lines that.
Speaker 4 (22:22):
Are good as far as like what you're playing for
that girl? Whatever happened her?

last night like that raven I don't remember the last
(28:48):
time I saw Baltimore get showed up like that in
that manner.
Speaker 4 (28:52):
You mean, pushed around like that?
Speaker 5 (28:54):
Yes, I don't know that. I mean, that's what's surprising. Yeah,
you wouldn't say it that way. I mean, m mint
hermy fifty one.
Speaker 1 (29:01):
I don't think I've ever seen them get pushed around
like that. Ever.
Speaker 5 (29:06):
Here's the thing is, like I don't look at the
personnel on Baltimore and either side of the ball up
front and go, oh, it's a you know decipt.
Speaker 1 (29:15):
Yeah yeah, yeah.
Speaker 5 (29:16):
Just like that, Like Detroit's that much better. Like that
was wild to see. Only because I look at Baltimore,
I feel like there they could be unstoppable. I mean,
the combination of Lamar Jackson Derek Henry in the backfield
and because of Lamar's ability to run, it's such a
it's such a difficult task, and obviously LaVar you can
speak to it like every single play you got account
(29:38):
for the quarterback keeping the ball and running it like
he's that dynamic. And then on top of that, they
get a passing game like Lamar can drop back and
boot out, he can take off and and there's a
number of guys who can hurt you at the receiver.
Speaker 1 (29:51):
And so I just I look at.
Speaker 5 (29:53):
This and I go, I don't know how this team
continues to underachieve at times like that. That's what I'd
say if you asked me if Baltimore is gonna be
one to two, and especially this game at home versus Detroit,
I would.
Speaker 4 (30:05):
I would tell you I'm shocked.
Speaker 5 (30:07):
I think this team is so much better than their record,
even though your record is what you are.
Speaker 4 (30:12):
And I think this.
Speaker 5 (30:13):
Team sometimes underachieves. I don't know why. I don't know
why Baltimore can't go out and just absolutely kick the
crap out of everyone they play when they are fully
capable of it with their roster.
Speaker 4 (30:25):
It doesn't make any sense.
Speaker 3 (30:27):
I think that they have to learn how to finish games.
This year, they haven't finished finished the big games yet.
Speaker 1 (30:35):
This was a big game.
Speaker 3 (30:37):
I didn't realize that Detroit was going to be this good,
not with having to replace as many coaches as they've
had to replace and two coordinators. I didn't think they'd
be this good. But they they have maintained the same process,
they've maintained the same culture, and they came out there
like again you said they ravened them, Like they came
(30:57):
out there with that type of mentality, like tooth chip
and mentality.
Speaker 1 (31:03):
You know. Interesting, interesting to me.
Speaker 3 (31:06):
I believe defenses are starting to catch up to mobile,
mobile quarterbacks, and I think the defensive schemes that are
being employed or deployed I should say, or implemented, I
guess would be the better way of saying it, are
really limiting these quarterbacks in their ability to be able
(31:27):
to free real free will run and listen. We've always known,
like spies have always existed, Like you have a defensive
spy for a quarterback that that existed. I was a
spy for Donovan McNabb and Mike Vick and those guys
like so you've had spies throughout the course of time.
(31:47):
I think now what kind of makes it different is
the idea of using two linebackers anymore or using just
four four defensive linemen to handle up front duties. So
you may have three three. We're in the past like
when I was doing when I was spying, I was
(32:09):
the third linebacker that was spying. But now you have
defensive linemen who are actually standing up when the ball
is snapped and spying quarterbacks a defensive lineman. So what
it's saying to me is some of the things that
are going to make the Baltimore Ravens as effective as
(32:31):
they can be. With Lamar Jackson's versatility and his ability
to run. I think we're seeing it. Even with the
game with with Green Bay and who what team was
that where they limited they limited the other team with
just Michaeh Parsons and Rashaun Gary. I forget what game
(32:53):
it was. It was a pretty big game though that
they won. What it might have been? It wasn't Detroit.
They played against a mobile running quarterback. I'm blanking out
on what not? This last game, the game before? What
was it? What was their first game that they played?
Was that Detroit?
Speaker 1 (33:08):
Might have been Detroit anyway? Detroit anyway.
Speaker 3 (33:12):
It's the idea of having guys as athletic as they
are up front to me, seems to be where defenses
are are being able to close the gap on what
has been seemingly uh a disadvantage. And the commanders, that's
the way it was. It's Jaydon Daniels, and they hurt him.
(33:33):
They got to him, and they even they even heard
him while he was running out of the pocket.
Speaker 1 (33:38):
That's what it was. It was the commanders.
Speaker 3 (33:40):
And and I'll say this, I'll offer this as a
defender when when when studying and making book, I would
say with with Derrick Henry, Derrick Henry is is his
arms are big, but they're long. And if you're making
book on de Derrick Henry, when Derek is trying to
(34:02):
get to north and south, while he's still going east
and west, he still holds the ball with one arm,
he holds the ball with one arm, and his arms
are so big and there's so long that there's air
in between that ball and his and his arm like
whatever the three point or four points of pressure, it's
(34:23):
if he has blind spots. These defenses are now realizing
that go after the ball with Derek Henry, don't go
after his body. I think for so many times you're
so focused in and dialed in on trying to get
where is his weak point and how do we get
him down versus attacking attacking his weak point, which is
(34:46):
his inability to actually protect the ball with one arm.
He's got to start, he's got to start holding the
ball maybe with two hands, with two arms, until he
gets north and south because as long as he has
a blind spot and you can run up on him,
because he's not going to run away from you, why
(35:07):
he's going east west, if he's going north south, Now
you got to worry about trying to get him down.
If you could get to him. Why he's going side
to side. He's got to protect the ball with both heads.
Speaker 2 (35:18):
That's got to be demoralizing as a defense. Though, when
in your own building you let a team go eighteen
plays ninety eight yards for eleven.
Speaker 3 (35:28):
Months, well, there's there's no answer. There's no there's no Literally,
I don't have any response for that.
Speaker 2 (35:33):
Ninety eight yards, eighteen plays and eleven minutes off the clock.
Speaker 3 (35:37):
But if Derek Henry doesn't fumble that ball, I feel
like the outcome of that game is very different.
Speaker 2 (35:42):
Yeah, but there was also the game looked weird, and
I get this when I watch Baltimore I can tell
within the first few minutes whether or not they're going
to win the game. Remember the AFC title game against
the Chiefs, when little things started to happen early on
and it was like, oh God, they're going to lose
this game, and then it was a flowers and all
the mistakes that were made that game last You got
that filling last night watching the goal line situation where
(36:05):
they couldn't figure out what they wanted to do, and
then I think the quarter ended and they came back
out and then they got stuffed on the goal line.
The second I saw that, I was like, oh, this
game's over. Like that, that felt like to me, just
sort of a prelude to what that game was going
to look like. I mean, hey, I still had Baltimore
minus four and a half, so that did not feel great.
(36:25):
That that really put a damper on things, especially if
you had a three leg parlay going and that was
the last leg you needed to hit on the parlay.
Speaker 1 (36:31):
But I just that's rough.
Speaker 2 (36:33):
Yeah, it sucked classiconas, but I just get this sense
early on watching the Ravens games, Yeah, this this is
not gonna go well.
Speaker 1 (36:41):
I don't know what it is like there's a tell
early in the game where it.
Speaker 2 (36:44):
Just seems like they're either visibly frustrated or there's something
that's that's not going right, and they had no answer
for it.
Speaker 1 (36:51):
Last night. I didn't get that. You really felt like
that was last night. Yeah, I didn't get that.
Speaker 2 (36:55):
The goal line situation made no sense whatsoever, and they
were scrambling to figure out what they wanted to do,
and then they got stuffed. And I saw it, and
I just thought to myself, this is this game's not
gonna go their way. I could just you could just tell.
And then Detroit just ran it down their throat the
entire game, NonStop.
Speaker 3 (37:12):
I didn't get that feeling. I thought that I thought
that the Ravens were going to pull it out and
then they they didn't. And I think that the fumble,
the fumble, the two losses they've had. I hate to
say it because one play shouldn't make or break a game,
but God Lee them two fumbles really have have put
them in a bad position to win games, to close out.
Speaker 4 (37:35):
The game ripes. I know we don't have any times.
It's a terrible time to ask this question.
Speaker 5 (37:40):
Have they hit their ceiling with Harbaugh's the coach, because
I don't think anyone's gonna look at this team and say, oh,
Lamar Jackson. They're not gonna say it's not gonna point
in him. If you look at this team and you say, well,
why haven't they won a Super Bowl? They've got a
multi year MVP on their team, Derrick Henry who might
be a Hall of Fame running back, and a loaded roster.
(38:03):
At some point people are gonna start putting a finger like,
we know how this works, right.
Speaker 4 (38:08):
It's kind of the same thing in Buffalo, Like if
Buffalo doesn't eventually get.
Speaker 5 (38:11):
To one win one, who are gonna point out Josh
Allen or Sean mc turmott.
Speaker 3 (38:17):
I think it's an interesting question and the answer could
possibly be yes. It could be possible that they hit
their ceiling with with Harball, but I would I would
say that based upon the way that organization is ran,
it's an AFC North type of team, and their personality
is very very much rooted in stability and consistency. I
(38:42):
think even if they have hit that ceiling, they will
still continue to believe in Harball's ability to lead this team,
just based on to me, like the historical value of
how they view their coaches. He's he's like a Tomlin.
I mean, he doesn't get hit with that the Tomlin narrative,
but he's kind of like a Tomlin. He can make it.
(39:04):
He'll make it through the regular season. He'll win the
regular season, he'll make it to the playoffs, and we'll
have a melt down in the playoffs. That you could
say that about McDermott, You could say that about Tomlin.
You could you could say that about quite a few
coaches that that are man. You could say it about
long since he made it to the Super Bowl. I
(39:26):
just you could say that about a lot of coaches.
But I mean, he may have, but I don't think
that they'll get rid of him, just based off of
the amount of success they have, and they come across
they appear to be a very competitive team. And they're
at Kansas City next week. Yeah, it doesn't get easier,
Yeah don't. I don't know that Kansas City is what
Kansas City has been though. I mean maybe when they
(39:47):
get their receivers back. But I just don't. I don't
feel fear in my heart or I don't when you
say Kansas City, I just don't feel like it has
the same impact this year as it has in years past.
Speaker 2 (39:58):

You one for you guys right here in case you

Speaker 1 (41:44):
We'll start for the Browns.
Speaker 11 (41:45):
In twenty twenty five, he appeared on Travis Kelsey's New
Heights podcast You released yesterday Monday, and he was to
ask about what advice he has for his son. He
told him, be patient, be ready, and went on to
say he thinks he's gonna have the starting job.
Speaker 3 (42:00):
In this year, not if Joe Flacco keep being a
part of games being pulled out like they did this
past weekend.
Speaker 5 (42:07):
I mean, well, I mean he's not wrong in the
sense of the Browns typically I had issues with quarterbacks
getting injured and then all that. So the problem is,
I don't think he's the next guy in. I think
it's Dylan Gabriel Pick.
Speaker 2 (42:20):
It's still there, right, Uh no, no, yeah, oh yeah,
what I said, Vea. But Deshaun Watson still yeah, Deshaun
is there and he might be back, right and.
Speaker 1 (42:30):
It has I mean we don't know, like you could
be back later in the year. I mean it's perfect timing. Wait,
isn't that the song? Isn't that the song? What do
you make that Shador song?
Speaker 3 (42:43):
I'd say that they just coming off of a big
win over over Wyoming. I mean, it's a perfect time
to go on the podcast and saydor is going to start.
Speaker 2 (42:50):
Hey, if Joe Flacco just doesn't turn the ball over,
they got a shot.
Speaker 3 (42:55):
Their defense ain't a game for certain, so we'll see
what happens. But that is a bold prediction but but
maybe expected from from Coach Prime.
Speaker 1 (43:05):
There you go.
