surrounding Russell Wilson and the New York Giants is ongoing
(02:56):
and as you guys have laid out both of you
who have spent time playing for teams in New York,
the media there is a little bit different, and this
is how it went yesterday with head coach Brian Dave All.
Speaker 4 (03:07):
Russ remains the start moving forward.
Speaker 6 (03:10):
Yeah, I mean we're working We're working through all personnel
decisions and we'll do that over the next few days.
Speaker 5 (03:15):
You're not saying Russ as the start, right, You're saying
you're still working through that.
Speaker 6 (03:18):
Yeah, we're doing what we normally do, which is, you know,
watch the tape. You know we'll have staff meetings after this.
Speaker 4 (03:25):
Lets say what you normally do most Monday afternoons.
Speaker 3 (03:28):
You know who your quarterback is gonna be the upcoming week.
Speaker 4 (03:30):
If everyone's healthy, though, it seems a little different.
Speaker 6 (03:32):
Your response is, yeah, well, look, we're going through the
tape right now.
Speaker 4 (03:35):
We're evaluating everything.
Speaker 6 (03:36):
So quarterback changes on the table, I'd say, we're evaluating everything.
Speaker 4 (03:42):
New York media.
Speaker 7 (03:43):
Bro Well, hold on, they're fair questions. It's the Pittsburgh
Steelers going over whether or not Iron Rodgers is starting
for them.
Speaker 4 (03:53):
You know. It's like it's the style points of the
way they follow out they ask getting the way they
follow up is very New Yorkish, That's all I'll say.
But they are fair question yeah, I mean, and in
fact may deserve a different response. Yeah, I mean, at
some point there might be a new conclusion.
Speaker 5 (04:15):
I just I don't know, I just what are we
waiting on? You know, like, like what is the unless this?
You know, they look at it and go all right,
based on the schedule, you know, we don't want to
send him out there against you know, such a difficult
competition this early on. But if you're Brian daveall, you've
(04:35):
got to at least see the writing on the wall.
Hey man, if this is just a poor season and
we're we're still sitting Jackson Dart late in the year
and there's not enough time to show any growth or development,
then he's probably going to be out of a job.
And Joe Shane would be as well too, And it
makes it worse that Daniel Jones is out there lighting
the league up and Saquon Barkley just ran for two
(04:56):
grand a year ago. Just just feels like they're almost
in a no win situation based on the schedule and
based on how this season has gone thus far, and
they're not going to the playoffs based on the history
of own three teams.
Speaker 4 (05:10):
So I think the Giants are in a tough spot.
I thought they would be better than what they they
have shown. Maybe they're a player or two away from
being in a totally different different situation, but I mean,
seeing where they're at right now, it doesn't It doesn't
(05:34):
bode well towards some type of dramatic turnaround. If Jackson
Dark gets in there, you got to ask yourself, what
are the expectations of using him at this point in time.
I mean, obviously they feel like Russell Wilson gives them
the best chance of being able to win games. It
(05:57):
doesn't get easier for them. I mean they do at
the Saints and and and a little bit. But I
mean they got the Chargers, who I think is one
of the hottest teams in the league, right now. Then
they had the Eagles. The Broncos are really like they're
a good team. They were just like they were banging
in the game. They just played against a real who
(06:17):
they just they lost. But yeah, I mean yeah, I
mean that that's that's a pretty dog on good team
right now. And you know, I don't know about the Niners,
but the Niners have have been able to stay undefeated.
It's not I guess my point is is that the
the schedule does not give them any real relief in
(06:40):
terms of, Okay, this could be a turning point for
what we're trying to do. I don't see it that way,
and so I feel like for day Ball puts them
in maybe a kind of a compromised situation in terms
of do you thrust a young rookie quarterback who hasn't
gotten real game rep during the regular season into us
(07:02):
a volatile situation to try to turn it around? Like
I don't. I don't know that that's the proper way
of handling it. Not sure, but I mean it's it's
a it's a big move. It's a it's a big
moment for day Ball because it could be his last
one as as the head coach of this team.
Speaker 7 (07:20):
Again, I kinda I don't look at it that way
where I feel like he's.
Speaker 3 (07:25):
On the hot seat.
Speaker 7 (07:26):
I know their their record points to otherwise, and probably
the New York fan base. I just I don't think
the Giants organization is going to be impatient with him.
I think they probably, like or I, had a plan
in place when they decided to take Across and then
draft Jackson Dart. You know, they're not a reactionary organization
(07:47):
that's like, oh, Jackson Dart's there, let's go take.
Speaker 3 (07:48):
Him, all right. I think they had this plan in place.
Speaker 7 (07:52):
They want to attack the quarterback position in two ways,
like what's tough though for them?
Speaker 3 (07:59):
And and I don't think Brian Dabele was the one
that's in the hot seat.
Speaker 7 (08:02):
Is you know, Joe Shane's constructing the roster and what
they have to witness.
Speaker 3 (08:07):
Last year they didn't sign back Saquon. Would Saquon do?
Speaker 4 (08:10):
Nah?
Speaker 7 (08:11):
He just went to the Philadelphia Eagles, won a Super Bowl,
was the Offensive Player of the Year, probably should have
been the MVP. So that kind of looked bad. Now
you look at this year, what's happening? Then move off
from Daniel Jones it's all right. These are the Colts
throwing three and zero. I think they've putted once and
he's been at quarterback and he's lighting up everything there
(08:34):
in Indie.
Speaker 3 (08:35):
It's like another thing where you're going, all right, this
kind of looks bad.
Speaker 7 (08:40):
So I don't know if that's on Joe Shane or
if the combination it is on Brian Dable, but the
perception on the outside is kind of guys are going.
Speaker 3 (08:50):
Elsewhere and they're excelling.
Speaker 7 (08:53):
And maligu Nighbors said us much after the game on
Sunday Night Football was very frustrated with the whole situation.
Didn't put it squarely on Dable, but he didn't acknowledge
the fact that Daniel Jones somewhere else and he's playing
really well.
Speaker 4 (09:11):
I just don't know. I don't know how you can
survive another poor season. That would be my what my
conclusion is. And listen, I have not heard one person
say one bad thing about day Ball as a person
or a coach, so maybe that makes it hard for
(09:33):
the conversation, but I just don't see how he survives
another poor season. Well.
Speaker 7 (09:39):
I think the other thing is is, you know we
always talk about during that cycle of time when they
fire coaches.
Speaker 3 (09:45):
Oh, what are they looking for next?
Speaker 7 (09:47):
Well, they added defensive guy, so now they want to
go to offensive guy. Or they've got a young quarterback,
they want to bring it an offensive guy to help
build up long Well, you have that offensive guy. You know,
they'd be looking for, essentially someone similar to Brian Dable
to come in and help Jackson and Darby the quarterback. You
can be right if that's the case. It just it
feels odd you're moving on from him. So again, I
(10:09):
think they want to be patient with it. I think
they want to see how the rest of the season
plays out. But it does feel like the time for
Russell as their starting quarterback, is done. And maybe most
damning was that performance versus Dallas, and Peak kind of
hit on this. It doesn't look quite as good after
watching what the Bears did to Dallas. And now you're like, oh,
all right, everyone kind of does that to Dallas. You know,
(10:31):
everyone's kind of doing Dallas that way right now, and Dallas.
Speaker 4 (10:35):
It was a high anchle s frame for CD Lamb too,
by the way, Yeah you called it three to four, Bro.
That ain't good. That is not good.
Speaker 3 (10:46):
Does that fall in the category of the knee Doppler
five thousand.
Speaker 4 (10:50):
Uh yeahes that still exist? Does your indicate?
Speaker 8 (10:55):
Uh?
Speaker 4 (10:55):
Yeah? So what are we looking at? When are we
getting a cold front here? Not right now?
Speaker 8 (11:00):
Uh?
Speaker 4 (11:00):
Good to go. My knees feel fine. If anybody wants
my double don't work? Oh god, whoa, that's a different
doppler for for that guy.
Speaker 5 (11:10):
Right there was that Roberto that was I couldn't hear
from Berto, my doubler don't work.
Speaker 4 (11:15):
Oh god, Oh gosh, who knew that drop was in there?
Look up sounds. I was hoping there'd be an actual
Doppler sound, but it was just what what did that.
Speaker 3 (11:25):
Say under the file? Did it say Roberto's name?
Speaker 4 (11:27):
It says Roberto Mexican doppler? Oh, oh wow, my favorite cat.
Speaker 3 (11:33):
We're gonna put that on Lee because he's out here.
Speaker 4 (11:36):
So my doppler don't work. Go and put that one on.
Take a lap. Huhang.
Speaker 7 (11:46):
Can I tell you, guys the most savage thing was
seen on social media so far? Do you guys know
the backstory of what's happening between Old Miss and LSU
this week who play each other?
Speaker 4 (11:56):
Oh yeah, I don't know that you've seen this?
Speaker 7 (11:59):
Yeah, tell me so, Lane kiff and obviously the head
coach of Ole miss his daughter is dating Wit Weeks,
who's the starting linebacker for LSU. And I guess they
made their relationship with his daughter Landry kiff in public
the week they play each other. I don't know who
made it public. I haven't taken that big of a
(12:19):
deep dive. I mean she posted it, so I just
all I know is Lane Kiffrin's response after she posts
the picture of her and wit together on her social
media platform. Lane's response was take the over. Oh now,
this is funny. Wow, this is funny. However, that could
(12:42):
probably get him as a head coach of a team
that is calling plays and stuff, could probably could get
him in trouble. But if you're looking for why the
storylines in college football I always feel.
Speaker 3 (12:52):
Like are better than the NFL, this is one of them.
All right.
Speaker 7 (12:55):
We don't get these sorts of storylines in the NFL
at any point.
Speaker 4 (13:00):
Especially Lane Kiffin.
Speaker 5 (13:01):
Man, everything he's he gives zero fs brouh that you
talk about somebody who's embraced social media in a fun way,
because I remember back when he was he's always been
a troll, because when he took the Tennessee job, and
then he went back to Tennessee. I remember he was
like posting pictures like passing through because Tennessee fans are
(13:22):
so pissed that he left and took the USC job,
I think it was. And he was trolling Tennessee fans
back then and ever since then. Then he went to
FAU and it just started to ignite something. And now
he's anytime there's an opportunity for him to take a
shot or to get into some sort of a skirmish
or a dust up, or he's gonna have fun with it.
(13:42):
I do wonder though, Yeah, somebody gonna get on him
about the about the over line. I mean, that's that's
a good way to counter your daughter date and the
other teams one of their defensive players just light him
up on the scoreboard.
Speaker 4 (13:55):
That's fun.
Speaker 3 (13:58):
Do you have any thoughts on this?
Speaker 4 (14:00):
Why not?
Speaker 3 (14:01):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (14:02):
I don't know. Why would I?
Speaker 3 (14:04):
Why wouldn't you?
Speaker 4 (14:05):
Why would I? It's a sensitive topic. Really, I mean,
I have daughters in college. Your son's a linebacker. Well,
I have a son in college too. Yeah, man, I'm
gonna stay away from this one.
Speaker 7 (14:20):
I'd assume, though you wouldn't want her to post something
like the week before the game when they played that team.
Speaker 4 (14:26):
Uh. Once, your daughters, well you might already realize it now,
even at their younger ages, but it becomes more and
more pronounced that they're going to do what they want
to do and you have really no control over that.
And and so it's much like in some instances, I'll
(14:49):
just say, speak for myself. I want to speak for everyone.
But it's much like your marriage. You know, you just
have to buckle up and go with it. I remember
that show. You remember that? Yeah, Mary, No, speak for yourself.
Oh yeah, speak for yourself. Yeah, I'm speaking for myself
right now. I don't know. I'm gonna stay away from it.
Speaker 3 (15:08):
Like I noticed, you got quiet. Usually you're you want
to chime in on this stuff.
Speaker 4 (15:13):
Stay away from it, all right?
Speaker 3 (15:15):
Yeah, Well, let me talk about something serious for a second.
Speaker 7 (15:18):

Speaker 3 (15:31):

Speaker 4 (15:33):
I mean that's where I'm heading. You know I'm heading
towards that.
Speaker 3 (15:37):
Do you guys want in this next segment? Do you
want to get fired up? Do you want to get patriotic?
Speaker 7 (15:42):

just your hair on fire, like throw around three hundred
and fifteen pounds on a hand clean I whoa, maybe
a bench press, but just wait, Lorraine has got it
tuned up for us. Okay, all right, the Wider.
Speaker 3 (15:57):
Cup, the speech of all speeches.
Speaker 7 (16:00):
Okay, it'll make your blood boil, make you so excited
to flip and go out there, punch your head through
a wall or something.
Speaker 4 (16:06):
They're gonna go out there and whoop some ass hell
like literally not figured to hell.
Speaker 3 (16:11):
Yeah, there is there.
Speaker 7 (16:12):
Is one thing that's being talked about that maybe he
considered controversial. Well wait till we get there, because I
do want to get your opinion. And this isn't like
a if you don't like golf or if you like
golf thing. It's more of like a philosophical conversation.
Speaker 4 (16:25):
I like philosophical conversation.
Speaker 3 (16:27):
Yeah, that's what I'm saying. You're like, I would it
looks interesting to me.
Speaker 4 (16:30):
I would love to see a straight rumble at whole
nine or whole eighteen, like let's let's get halfway through
and throw down, or let's get to the last hole
and let's throw down.
Speaker 7 (16:42):
Like I think d Chambeau would do well because he's yoked.
But I also don't know if he has that dog
in him. You know, I don't know if he has
that dog in it.
Speaker 4 (16:50):
I would love to see what that would look like,
you know, who would come out like going like Anchorman,
you know how like they had that like all out
royal rumble and movie at some point. Yeah, I would
like to see that in the Ryder Cup. Yeah, you
know what, I'd like to see what the Harlem Globe Trotters.
Speaker 3 (17:06):
It's not.
Speaker 5 (17:06):
Yeah, so once in a generation event. The Harlem Globe

Speaker 4 (17:21):
All right, you really do suck at whistling.
Speaker 5 (17:25):
Damning Instead he's trying whoa ray Ray?
Speaker 4 (17:32):
Some people just aren't meant to whistle. Maybe, you know,
I'm sorry whoever created that Harlem globe trotter is whistle?
Speaker 9 (17:40):
That was right.
Speaker 4 (17:42):
They're really good at it. You know what I can't do.
Speaker 5 (17:43):
I can't do it where you take the fingers to
the mouth and yeah, I've always want.
Speaker 4 (17:48):
To do that. I can't. Yeah, And they can do it.
Them people do it like really loud, like where they
can like blow your ear drummer. Yeah, Q is one
of them, guys. I can do it, guarantee.
Speaker 3 (17:56):
He can do one d P.
Speaker 4 (17:57):
Can you do it?
Speaker 9 (17:58):
Que?
Speaker 4 (17:59):
The one where you stick your your thumb and your
your pointer in your mouth and you go, you know,
it's like real loud like Patrick, can you do it?
Can you do it?
Speaker 9 (18:07):
No?
Speaker 4 (18:08):
I can whistle normally, but I can't do it. Yeah.
I don't want that's it. It's too bad. Oh, that's
too bad. The people that can like whistle to each
other and sound like birds like you know, and you
communicate like birds like like that type stuff. Yeah, now
yours don't sound like it's very airy. Yeah, Pat, come on, man,
(18:30):
you got I got tighten up.
Speaker 5 (18:32):
Well, I mean you could probably whistle if you needed
to get some help from somebody at the home depot or.

Speaker 4 (23:34):
Yeah, you're welcome, Thank you.
Speaker 5 (23:40):
Hey, can I ask you about a game that I
don't know? Obviously you weren't you weren't taking part in this.
This is an SEC game. It was Oklahoma Auburn, but
there was a big, you know, outrage of from Auburn,
and it should be because Oklahoma faked a substitution like
a guy was running off the field and then stayed
on the field and they threw a touchdown pass. Yeah,
(24:03):
so what happens there? How can how is that not reviewable?
How can this be like that? Seems like a pretty
obvious infraction and for whatever reason it stuck.
Speaker 3 (24:13):
Well, first, what has that been outlawed? I thought there's
been like elements of that where that is a legal play.
Speaker 9 (24:21):
Well, there's it's if you the rule in college is
if you use a like a simulated substitution to to
basically deceive your opponent, right, that that's it's called the
hideout play.
Speaker 7 (24:34):
Right.
Speaker 9 (24:35):
So the one the one Oklahoma player kind of went
went toward the bench like he was going off the
field and then stopped like right near the sideline kind
of basically that's why they call it a hideout. He's
kind of hiding. Their defense doesn't recognize it. Then he
goes downfield wide open and catches a touchdown. That that's
a foul because you're using the substitution process to basically
(24:58):
deceive the opponent. It looks he's got to be he's
got to be inside the numbers right first, and then
go outside the number. Some of this is I mean
to me, there's got to be some bonus on the
defense to recognize, Okay, you know, where's the eleventh player,
and you know we're always working off of like there's
five eligibles all of that, but that is about Apparently
(25:19):
they did talk to the officials before the game and
say that, you know, how how do we do this legally?
And what they told the officials at least this is
second hands. I don't know exactly what happened. What they
told the officials was a little bit different than what
they actually did.
Speaker 7 (25:37):
That's very so so let me follow up by asking this,
is that is that real different in the NFL in college?
Because I can recall one of the best Johnny Manziel
moments with the Browns was was that exact similar play
where Kyle Shanahan is looking at him and he tells.
Speaker 9 (25:53):
Him that should the NFL should They didn't call it
and they should have And that was the same and
and was that Johnny or Baker? I don't know, but yeah, okay.
Speaker 4 (26:04):
It was the other white quarterback.
Speaker 9 (26:06):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (26:10):
But but I guess to my point is Alice as
why is it illegal? I mean to your point about
the defense being aware of all eleven, like that's kind
of part of the onus on it, you know what
I'm saying, Like he's on the field of play still,
like they shouldn't be aware of that there's a quarterback
out there, like people, you know, people should be understanding
of who's on the field who's not.
Speaker 9 (26:28):
I agree. I was always like because we had a
lot of that when I was at the NFL and
teams and and do it. And I was always like look,
the defense has to recognize it too. Now, again, the
rule is the rule, like it's part of that substitution
process the NFL has as it's five yards from the sideline,
So they kind of put a point of demarcation where
(26:49):
if you if you're more than five yards from the sideline,
that's the theory is okay, the defense should recognize that.
But yeah, any anything in there. And I think the
rule is the way it is because they're trying to
prevent teams from really pushing the envelope and going because
it does make it harder on the officials in terms
of recognizing when it's an actual substitution when it's them
(27:11):
trying to play games. So I think you know, both
the NFL and college they want that call because they
want to they want to kind of deter teams from
doing stuff like that.
Speaker 4 (27:20):
I'm gonna switch gears on you, Dean, and I'm going
to pluck your nerve right now because I'm going to
directly pass go and straight to the tush push. Huh.
It happened this week, the the it happened a lot
the obviously, the scrutiny on it is crazy. How slow
(27:43):
did they make it to see the linemen jump early
and how much more Because I don't the way it's
seeing and the way the narrative was, I don't know
that the referees could have saw it at real time
speed the way that it's seemed slowed down. So will
there be replayed of the touch push and you're going
(28:06):
to get an offsides penalty on it? Like, how do
they you know, kind of govern it moving forward after
showing that so many times after it took place in
the game.
Speaker 9 (28:17):
Yeah, well that that's and that's the point. It's Look,
they always officials don't officiate so motion. They're looking at
it at full speed. I thought the plays against the
Rams were closer than the ones against the Chiefs. You know,
when you start going frame by frame, that's like nobody
sees it that way live, and I think that's part
of it's part of the difficulty of this play. So
(28:40):
the officials have been told to call this tight and
obviously that you know, you still have some early movement,
whether that's clearly a foul or not. I thought it
was closer. I really thought that was. You know, I
got so much attention about my comment and the Egos
game that my colleague Mike Praira needed to get a
little love and he just wanted to throw it out
there and then get a publicity. You know, Brady, you
(29:04):
know how it is with Pereira.
Speaker 7 (29:05):
But uh but two Italians.
Speaker 9 (29:09):
I know, well, he's Portuguese, which which yeah, he's a
little beef there exactly. But somebody online, somebody sent me
a thing. It's like Geene serrit or Dean Blandino, Mike Perera,
all these Italians are rules analysts and somebody said, no,
Pereira is Portuguese, and you know the comments, it's like, no,
(29:29):
that's that's fake Italians.
Speaker 3 (29:31):
Right, Oh geez.
Speaker 1 (29:34):
God.
Speaker 9 (29:35):
Uh yeah, So we'll see. I mean, we got the
Eagles bucks this week coming up, so I'm sure we'll
be talking more toush push during the game and we'll
see how it goes.
Speaker 5 (29:46):
Fox Sports NFL college football rules analyst Dean Blandino joining
us here on Fox Sports Radio. I don't know if
there's numbers to add to this, but it does feel
like in just watching through the first couple of weeks,
then it seems like the hard hits are back and
that maybe the officials aren't calling for lowering the helmet
(30:08):
as much. Or maybe you know, indirectly helmet to helmet.
It just I don't know if it's because of the
kickoff change. But if you notice that as well too,
have they relaxed maybe some of the penalties that were
called for hits that would have been quote unquote back
in the day acceptable, that are now deemed to be dangerous.
Speaker 9 (30:27):
Yeah, you know, it's a good point I have. I
think I think we're still somewhat overboard on the quarterback protection.
You know, there was one on Josh Allen Thursday night
that I didn't love. And but yeah, some of the
stuff down field, I don't know what the numbers. I'll
take a look at numbers and maybe we can talk
about it next week. In terms of flags on hits
on receivers, I do know. Look, this lowering the helmet.
(30:49):
They put it in more so that they could just
fine and warn after the fact. The officials rarely call it.
Sae Quon got fined for for lowering his head and
making contact with the helmet in the Chiefs game. I mean,
you watch Camp Skataboo. I'm there were probably four or
five that that he might get warned or well every
(31:11):
time he every time he touches the football, it's you know,
he drops his head and that's part of running back
and getting low and all of that. But I think
I think there's there's that fine process, there's that that
that post game discipline that that takes place. So some
of these hits, even if they're not called on the field,
they do get they do get attention during the week.
(31:32):
But uh yeah, I mean I haven't seen as many
flags for hits down field and some of these big
hits on the receivers.
Speaker 7 (31:39):
All right, one anomaly we saw this past week, and
it was all the block field goals, Like I don't
know that I've ever seen anything like that before in
my life.
Speaker 3 (31:47):
Uh, take me through what's allowed and what's not allowed.
Speaker 7 (31:50):
At one point, did you guys outlaw them jumping over
to the long snapper?
Speaker 3 (31:54):
Now?
Speaker 4 (31:54):
Is that back in?
Speaker 9 (31:56):
Well? Yeah, So it depends on where you where you align.
If you come from from off the ball right and
you run used to be you could you could be
off the ball, run up, jump and try to block
the kick and and you can't do that if you're
off the ball more than a yard off the ball,
you run up, you jump and not just land on
(32:18):
players that's the foul. But if you jump and cross
the line of scrimmage, that's a foul. That's leaping. If
you're if you're on the line stationary on the line,
you can jump over, you can land on players because
the theories you're not getting that run up. But you
can't leverage right, you can't push. We saw the the
call against Denver obviously against the Colts in week two.
(32:40):
You can't use the opponent or a teammate to push
off to gain height to uh to block the kick
and then and then we have the whole pull and
shoot right that that you can't one guy grab, he grabs,
the guard pulls him out of the gap, and then
the and then the teammate shoots the gap. So you
can't do that. And I thought, look, there's always a
lot going off. But I thought the Eagles blocks were fine.
(33:02):
I thought the Jets. The Jets block was fine. But
it is something I'm happy the Jets was good because
we got all these Aaron Glenn memes now, which is amazing.
Speaker 4 (33:14):
Age well, it did not age well. Dan. You mentioned
that you didn't like to hit on Josh Allen and
and maybe the relaxing of how they're judging the quarterback protection.
What else did you have on your note sheet that
that jumped out at you from watching the games this
past weekend.
Speaker 9 (33:32):
Well, for me, it was some of the just there's
been some inconsistencies and replay and some of these big plays.
You know, I thought, you know, we're talking about the Jets, right,
the Bucks and Jets. I thought there was a catch
late in the game. Bucks were down and I think
it was I think it was a mecca, you know,
(33:52):
at the sideline, he bobbled it, he regained control. I
thought he got two feet down, and they never stopped it. Never. Never,
I mean they review it because it's in the last
two minutes. You know, Todd Bowles calls the time out,
everybody's like, what that was the catch? And then they didn't.
They didn't stop the game and bring the referee over.
I'm seeing a little bit more of that, maybe some
(34:13):
inconsistent siason in replay and whether stopping plays looking at
them and then the actual the actual decisions. So I
think that's something in the league just needs to continue.
You know, you're not going to be perfect, but you
just want to be consistent. And I know, talking to
a lot of people around the league, you know, when
I'm at games, that's one of the things that comes up.
It's like we were having a hard time kind of
(34:35):
getting a feel for what these decisions are going to
be because obviously they you know, coaches, they need to challenge,
they need to know where what's the likelihood that we're
going to get this and flip this call? So I
think that's something that I've seen the last couple of weeks.
Speaker 5 (34:49):

In twenty twenty five, he appeared on Travis Kelsey's New
Heights podcast You released yesterday Monday, and he was to
ask about what advice he has for his son. He
told him be patient, be ready, and went on to
say he thinks he's gonna have the starting job.
Speaker 4 (39:21):
Later in this year, not if Joe Flacco keep being
a part of games being pulled out like they did
this past weekend.
Speaker 3 (39:29):
I mean well, I mean he's not wrong in the
sense of the Browns.
Speaker 7 (39:33):
Typically, I've had issues with quarterbacks getting injured and all that.
So the problem is, I don't think he's the next guy.
Speaker 3 (39:40):
I think it's Dylan Gabriel. Picket's still there, right.
Speaker 4 (39:44):
Uh no, no, ba yeah, oh yeah what I said
to Vegas. Yeah, but Deshaun Watson still yeah, Deshaun is
there and he might be back, right and who has
I mean, we don't know, like you could be back
later in the year. I mean it's perfect timing. Wait,
isn't that the song? Isn't that the song? What do
you hate that Shador song? I've said, they just coming
(40:06):
off of a big win over over Wyoming. I mean,
it's a perfect time to go on the podcast and
say Schador is going to start.
Speaker 5 (40:12):
Hey, if Joe Flacco just doesn't turn the ball over,
they got a shot.
Speaker 4 (40:17):
Their defense ain't a game for certain, So we'll see
what happens. But that is a bold prediction, but but
maybe expected from from coach Pry. There you go.
