All right, welcome in the hour two up on game.

it because well it'll go into the podcast immediately following
the show. And you know what else You might have
missed us talking about Louisiana Hot sauce, but now you're
gonna hear about it because Louisiana Hot Sauce is the
(01:06):
perfect balance of Pepper's, vinegar and salt.
Speaker 3 (01:09):
Put it on your wings, your nacho, your.
Speaker 5 (01:10):
Burger's, any tailgate food with that bold, handcrafted flavor of
the original Louisiana Hot Sauce. That's Louisiana hot value some
and yes, we will be talking the Giants and the Eagles.
Speaker 3 (01:23):
That's gonna be a big conversation saw.
Speaker 5 (01:25):
Plex with Ron Harper and Lawrence Taylor and Antonio Old
Pierce during the game.
Speaker 3 (01:31):
So we're gonna talk about that.
Speaker 5 (01:33):
Yeah, we're gonna get to that conversation and what that
means for the NFC East, What does this mean for
the Giants?
Speaker 3 (01:40):
What does it mean for the Eagles?
Speaker 5 (01:41):
All Right, but we're gonna lead off, guys, We're gonna
lead off this hour with talking about what's going on
in North Carolina.
Speaker 3 (01:49):
My first cousin.
Speaker 5 (01:51):
Interestingly enough, my first cousin's grandson committed to Penn State.
Speaker 3 (01:57):
He's now de committed.
Speaker 5 (01:59):
He's a top end state prospect, was supposed to come here.
De committed from the school after everything that has recently
taken place. But looking at the Carolina situation, it made
me think about the Carolina conversation.
Speaker 4 (02:16):
How bad is this situation and how does.
Speaker 5 (02:19):
This impact them moving forward as it applies to recruits,
as it applies to the health of the program, and
what do they do. Do you hope that that Bill
Belichick can fix it and write the ship and make
sure the program goes in the direction they thought it
was going to go in or does this end with
a buyout? It seems as though they came out in
(02:42):
a united front and tried to put the bid any
buyout and type of.
Speaker 3 (02:47):
Like, you know, let him go. Rumors that may have hit.
Speaker 5 (02:50):
But how you guys seeing this situation going in you
in University of North Carolina.
Speaker 6 (02:56):
Bill seems like he doesn't want to be because when
Belichick was in New England, very rarely did you hear anything.
So for these rumors to be coming out to buy out,
this is it coming from Belichick hump? Or is it
coming from UNC? And so I'm gonna say it's coming
from Belichick's camp. They putting out out there because when
(03:18):
he was in the National Football League, nothing ever came
out about New England. Nothing would come out nothing. And
so for God that prided himself on keeping things in house,
we sure are hearing a lot. And college football is
a relationship game, meaning I got to be able to
(03:39):
go in one's living room and be personable with them,
speak to them, make them feel like I'm the best
option for them to get to the National Football League.
Speaker 4 (03:48):
Can you see Bill going.
Speaker 6 (03:49):
Into these living rooms in the inner city and they leave,
and when he leaves, the parents and in a player like, yeah,
I want to go to North Carolina. I don't get that,
And so I figured he would struggle in college. And
who's helping him recruit the players? You got, Mike Lombardi,
that's your GM, Like, what do you know about the
(04:10):
high school game? Like these dudes really think they know it.
So we got seventy new guys this year. Were gonna
what these dudes know about this level of football?
Speaker 3 (04:20):
Man?
Speaker 7 (04:20):
Like?
Speaker 6 (04:21):
And I know Mike Lombardi been around football a long time, man,
long time, but at some point you gotta be able
to identify talent. You could have had Chandler Morris and
you chose not to take Chandler Morris because quote unquote
he didn't have NFL size. He had Virginia. Now look,
with Virginia doing you didn't think Chandler Morris was good enough.
(04:42):
You wanted to approached all quarterback You get what you get?
Speaker 3 (04:47):
Wow, plex I.
Speaker 7 (04:48):
Don't know, man, it's kind of a you know, mixed
kind of you know feeling for me. Yeah, I think
he wants to be there, but I'm gonna kind of
give him the benefit of that out going into this
season not really being able to recruit or get the
kind of players that he wanted to get for his program.
So I'm gonna give him the benefit of the doubt.
I know you just mentioned the whole thing about the quarterback,
(05:11):
but you know, every coach has the scheme that they
want to do offensively and defensively. I watched tard Hills
last weekend. They didn't look like a football team at all.
And we're talking about the ACC, so I can't even imagine,
you know, what he's gonna look like playing against you know,
some of these top five to ten programs in the country,
and Clemson and Dabbosween you just went down there and
(05:34):
smacked him around like they was in junior high school.
But I do think moving forward, he has three year deal.
If they wanted to buy out, he's guaranteed fifty million dollars,
so you might as well just keep him and try
to build this program back up. But what the problem is,
how are you going to recruit and be able to
get kids in the portal if you're showing what she
(05:57):
did last week against KINGSAC Clemson. He wants to go
to a two and three or football team, or whatever
the case may be. Even if it's even if it's
Bill Belichick, if you don't have you know something that
these kids can look at and be like, you know what,
I want to be a part of that. North Carolina
is so far away from that is not even funny.
(06:19):
So I don't know how you build a program when
you're putting a product out there on the football field
for these kids to see if they want to be
recruited or kids jumping in the portal. I don't want
to go to North Carolina right now, even if they
do offer me the same amount of money as UP.
I don't know if Virginia Tech may you're going to
go to Virginia Tech because you're looking at the product
(06:42):
that North Carolina is putting them on the football field
right now, you know.
Speaker 5 (06:46):
I think the problem that that Bill Belichick ran into
is that with we're coming from the pros and bringing
an NFL staff and seemingly implementing a pro style infrastructure
into the North Carolina program, you treated the transfer portal
(07:08):
like free agency, and you're treating the program as if
it is a pro program, And so you go into
the portal. I think the biggest, the biggest decision that
has to be made and in this day and age
by coaches that are coming into new coaching situations is
(07:30):
what is the direction you're going to lean into?
Speaker 4 (07:33):
What what are you going to go? Where are you
going to go? Are you going to do a traditional.
Speaker 5 (07:38):
Build out, recruit your kids and the build the culture,
build the kids up, or are you going to go
with a quick fix and try to test the portal
to see that you could get the best players that
money can buy and try to get in the winning
column very quickly. I think that that dilemma is a
(08:01):
hard one because I feel as though coaches are judged
on a much smaller timeline than what they had been
in years past, Like where it was it used to
be three to four years you give a coach to
build up, you know, you get one to two these
days these days, And and I think that that plays
a major part in how aggressive a you know, a
(08:22):
team has to be, a coach has to be and
trying to win right away upon getting hired. So I
think that's the dilemma that Bill Belichick found himself in,
and I think he's realized that where he's at right
now that the portal is not really the answer to
a building from the foundation.
Speaker 4 (08:41):
It can't. It can be if you get the right players, LeVar,
it can be kind of.
Speaker 5 (08:45):
Think it's what you think, it's a hit Colreado, Yeah,
but was that really a success?
Speaker 3 (08:51):
Was it really a success? TJ?
Speaker 6 (08:53):
Like the reason the reason it was a success because
Colorado was terrible. They were a terrible football team when
he got there. But they become a great football team. No,
a great football team is hard if you're not Alabama, Georgia,
Ohio State, Texas, LSU, and I may be missing a
few more, Notre Dame, Penn State. Uh, you're not becoming
(09:13):
a great football team. And it's these kids want to
play on TV every single week. And those are the
teams that are playing on TV every single week. So
like you have to one n I l it. Oh
this Bill Belichick. They gonna come because it's Bill Belichick. No, no, Noah,
were coming for the dollars. Now you're offering me to them.
Speaker 4 (09:33):
And then if you're Bill Belichick, you should be able
to bring the dollar.
Speaker 5 (09:36):
I mean, Dion didd Deon brod blenders in and brought
all kinds of different.
Speaker 4 (09:41):
You know, you know nil he did it at Jackson State.
Speaker 5 (09:46):
But I would assume that Bill Belichick would have strong
relationships with some type of company that would come in
and put money into the NIL to boost him up.
Speaker 3 (09:57):
Why wouldn't there be right?
Speaker 6 (09:59):
But if you if you have an opportunity to go
play for Dion Sanders or Bill Belichick, where you going again?
I think it just you want to play for Sanders.
I'm answer that we're going to play again.
Speaker 5 (10:12):
All depends if Bill Belichick can replicate, if he can
show any type of anything that would even resemble that
he can can do what he did in New England.
I'm going to think about going to play for Bill Belichick.
Speaker 6 (10:29):
Odell Pete, if you're competing with Bill Belichick for a recruit,
all you got to do is show some of his interviews.
Speaker 4 (10:35):
So when he was at New England and says, this
is the guy you want to play for. Yeah, but
he wins, but he wins, and it's will can't you
can't do that, LeVar.
Speaker 6 (10:44):
He wins with Tom Brady, he don't win without them.
He wins with Tom Brady, he don't win and that
that that's not it. That's a fact. What you mean
you mean he won? Yeah, he won, He's not winning.
Speaker 3 (10:59):
He's not currently a winner. He won, still a winner,
he's still a waner.
Speaker 6 (11:05):
He won with Tom Brady. He does not win without
number two one. Oh, that's a fact. That's a fact.
Speaker 4 (11:12):
He can't win without Brady, because.
Speaker 3 (11:15):
I mean I think that that's it's.
Speaker 4 (11:19):
No, it's probably true.
Speaker 3 (11:21):
I mean he's had some good teams. He's had some
good teams.
Speaker 4 (11:24):
But but with that being said, he had to build
that with Tom Brady.
Speaker 5 (11:28):
So again I get the argument for that's pro all
tom Brady, but I mean he had to be coached,
he had to be drafted. He had to get the opportunity.
I mean that's not everybody else that he coached had
to be coach. Everybody else had to get the opportunity.
Everybody else have to be drafted them. He just had
somebody special that that too.
Speaker 4 (11:50):
We thank you, thank you.
Speaker 5 (11:52):
Yes, But but I would be willing to think that
he can figure that out again because he did it.
Speaker 4 (11:58):
He tried. He couldn't.
Speaker 3 (12:00):
Well.
Speaker 6 (12:00):
Mac Jones took you to the playoffs and then he said,
I'm gonna put my defensive guy, my special teams guy
as a coordinator because I'm smarter than everybody else.
Speaker 3 (12:08):
How that turnout, Yeah, it didn't turn out well, I'll
tell you that. Listen.
Speaker 5 (12:12):
And mac Jones is doing well and where he's at
right now, so there's always that as well.
Speaker 4 (12:17):
Exactly.
Speaker 3 (12:18):
Listen.
Speaker 5 (12:18):
My whole thing is I still think that you can't
take away or diminish who Bill Belichick was as a
coach in the league.
Speaker 6 (12:26):
I mean, the greatest defensive coach ever, greatest defensive coach ever.
Defensive I will give him that. I'm not gonna take
that away from him. He can defensively, his defenses was
stouting the league. They're gonna always give you problems. He's
gonna take away what you do best. He gonna do
a hell of a job with that. People skills in
the offensive, I don't know about that, And you gotta
(12:47):
have people skills when you're coaching in the National Football League.
He was able to do what he did because Brady
accepted the coaching. Everybodys else has to fall in line.
Once Brady left, it was over.
Speaker 4 (13:02):
All right.
Speaker 5 (13:03):
Well, on the other side of the break, we're gonna
talk about another quarterback.
Speaker 3 (13:07):
Well, we'll touch on it. His name is Jackson Dart.
Speaker 5 (13:11):
He's got these these New York Giants along with Bam
Bam Bigelow.
Speaker 3 (13:16):
Scataboo and company.
Speaker 5 (13:19):
We're gonna talk about that game between the Philadelphia Eagles
and the Giants and what are the well thought processes
coming out of that game you're listening to up on game.
This is Fox Sports Radio. And yeah, we'll be right back,
so we'll see you on the other side of the break.

be able to say that we work with original Louisiana

Speaker 3 (15:34):
Make sure you hit that at.

The tailgates with your food because it's that bold, handcrafted
flavor and original Louisiana hot sauce taste that you're gonna get.
So make sure you make it Louisiana hot sauce. That's
Louisiana Hot.
Speaker 3 (15:47):
Buy you some.
Speaker 4 (15:49):
Fellas, listen.
Speaker 5 (15:52):
I don't know how you guys felt coming out of
the Eagles Giants game plex.
Speaker 3 (15:57):
You were there, TJ. I'm certain you saw, uh it bags.
Speaker 5 (16:05):
The question are the are the Giants turning it around
now that they've put Jackson Dart in? Is this a
different team? Maybe it's not because of Jackson Dart, but
maybe it ain't. That necessarily not a part of it.
Speaker 4 (16:19):
But is this New York.
Speaker 5 (16:20):
Giants team turning it around? And has this Philadelphia Eagles
team hit their ceiling? What's going on? They've struggled to
win games, even though they won them, but it's now
started to catch up to them. And now it's two
games in a row that they've dropped games and the Saints,
come on man and the Giants.
Speaker 3 (16:40):
What are we saying?
Speaker 4 (16:41):
Here's what's the takeaways for both sides. Man, I love
it when guys that train with us man go out
there and ball out. Man.
Speaker 6 (16:51):
Jackson Dart been with us man, been knowing Jackson Dart
he was in high school man in Utah. Coming out
the train goes to sc transferred old miss been training
with us forever. Great kid comes from a great family,
real cool with his pops. To see what he's done
(17:13):
is crazy. Like they couldn't do much with Russell Wilson,
and Jackson goes in and galvanized the whole team. He's
not throwing for a ton of yards, but he's making
the play that needs to be made at the right moment.
Speaker 4 (17:32):
Man that gets through the line of scrimmage.
Speaker 6 (17:35):
Oh, one on one with linebacker Zach Baum, who was
a Pro bowler All Pro last year.
Speaker 4 (17:40):
Now you see me.
Speaker 6 (17:41):
Now you don't touchdown making great Molik Neighbors goes down
making great throws. But this is the thing, They're gonna
need a receiver to step up. When you start playing
the really really good teams, you're gonna have to have
a receiver that can win one on one because they
gonna do is say, you know what, we're gonna man
(18:03):
you up. We're gonna stop the run because Cam Scutta
ball Who that dude? He runs so hard? He literally
he's scaring dudes. Dude scared to get in front of him.
Now they don't want to. They do only want to.
Speaker 3 (18:18):
He bringing that hat, bro.
Speaker 6 (18:21):
Bond, he's a linebacker back, Bro, He's running downhill, pad
level low. Get in front of me if you want
to type of energy and somebody gonna have to booming
and everybody'll be like, oh okay, he is human. But
I like what they're doing in New York. Man, I'm
happy for Dable. I think Dabel was a great coach.
(18:44):
The way Daniel Jones is playing it makes it look
like what was Dabele doing? But now that he has
his guy and Jackson Dart, if they win seven games,
six seven games, he gonna save his job. And Jackson
Dart looks like he is the future franchise quarterback of
the New York Giants. Man just the boxie, the competitiveness,
(19:05):
his demeanor. They believe, they believe they can win now.
And you know, if your mind feels like you're in
every game, you got a chance for real, and that
that that's all that you want is you can get
your teammates to believe it don't matter what's going on,
we have a chance to win every game. The Eagles
(19:25):
have not been playing great football, but what Jackson Dart
has done in his limited amount of starts thus far
as a rookie is great. And let's not discount this.
He's played a lot of football. He's played a lot
of football at Old Miss and the SEC and so
this is this not new for him?
Speaker 5 (19:46):
What you think, plex Okay, so let let let me
tell you this. And I think I think maybe Plexus
as Box might have went went out on us.
Speaker 4 (19:58):
Let me let me tell you this, TJ.
Speaker 5 (20:01):
And looking at what took place, I said this during
the week, I feel like Kansas City has lost the
the Mike Tyson effect is what I call it. Right
like that you you mentioned the whole intimidation of it,
and you know with scatterboy or whatever, well, teams can
establish that type of intimidation and dominance as well. And
(20:23):
I think we've watched that take place with Kansas City
through the years. I think it's gone TJ. I think
that that mystique, that aura of what Kansas City represents
is gone. And I'm not so sure the same thing.
This is the reason why I mention it. I'm not
so sure that it isn't the same situation with the
(20:43):
Philadelphia Eagles. Maybe maybe the whole mystique of the running
game and this daunting offensive line and a defense.
Speaker 3 (20:53):
That that has no no weak points on it, and this,
that and the other.
Speaker 5 (20:57):
There's the possibility that that area and that mystique is gone,
and these teams don't look at it that way, they
don't approach it that way. They're not intimidated coming into it.
Speaker 4 (21:09):
Now.
Speaker 5 (21:09):
I will say Jalen Carter was out, and there seems
to be a collective, you know, sense of you know,
relief when that young man isn't in the active lineup
to play. And maybe that was a major difference in
this game. But what I do not see. I do
not see Saquan having the type of success that he
(21:30):
had last season.
Speaker 3 (21:32):
I do not I do not see.
Speaker 5 (21:35):
This defense, you know, maybe not as daunting a task
as it has been in the past.
Speaker 3 (21:43):
I don't know, but I would be concerned.
Speaker 5 (21:47):
If I'm the Philadelphia Eagles, I would be truly concerned
because they're they're a field goal block away, which I mean,
how many times does that really happen?
Speaker 4 (21:57):
In it two times and one two times, you know
what I mean?
Speaker 5 (22:01):
And so it happens, and that's the way they end
up winning that game because they really, they really did
not play well enough to win the game against the Rams.
They did not, so that could have easily been a lost.
They found themselves eking out victories, which in a lot
of ways, you say, that's respectable for champ to find
a way to win those games. But TJ, I gotta
(22:22):
tell you, I'm concerned if I'm looking at this Eagles
team and I have hope if I'm looking at this
New York Giants team.
Speaker 2 (22:30):
Like.
Speaker 6 (22:32):
Jackson Dartists beat the Chargers and Eagles. Chargers were rolling
and Eagles were rolling. They weren't playing well, but they
were winning. And if you're the Eagles, when Jenn Carter
isn't playing, that's a huge blow to your team. He's
your best defensive player. They lose, they lose some guys.
Nolan Smith is out, so they got some guys that
(22:53):
aren't playing. But they we still be this to Eagles.
They got to be able to overcome the offensively is
where their defense isn't playing terrible football, LeVar. Their offense
is not making plays Like how many players we're gonna
have in a game about sixty right? You mean to
(23:15):
tell me they can't run it twenty seven times, throw
at thirty three, or run it thirty three times and
throw it twenty seven times.
Speaker 4 (23:24):
Out of those thirty three runs, we.
Speaker 6 (23:26):
Can't get Sakwan eighteen to twenty, Jalen hurts five to seven,
and the rest goes to the backup. You mean to
tell me we can't do that gaming game out, Yes
you can. You can, And so I don't understand that
we just got to run the ball all game or
we gotta throw the ball.
Speaker 4 (23:46):
The game of football should be a balanced game.
Speaker 6 (23:49):
Get the ball to aj Brown, get the ball to
DeVonta Smith in the passing game, get it to Dallas Garter,
get Saquan involved in the passing game. Also, like you
got they can do this, and so it's up to
Kevin Patulo that's off as a coordinator, to figure out
how to get this offense rolling because right now they're stagnant.
(24:09):
They can do one or the other, but they're not
doing both in the same game, which is odd considering
the weapons that they have. And yet Lane Johnson has
been hurt. Landon Dickerson is out. But you still have
a good enough team that picked that Jayleen Hurst. Do
they cover zero them? Aj Brown was wide over before
a touchdown. He left the ball inside on the out
route and Cordell fly picked it. But aj Brown was
(24:33):
wide over before a touchdown, wide open coming across the middle,
wide over before a walking touchdown. I don't know where
his rid goes when it's a blitz, but he didn't
make a bad read. He just slightly left the ball inside.
And so I feel like the Eagles will eventually be okay.
But you gotta get your best players the ball early
your first ten. Sakwan getting it four times, aj Brown
(24:56):
getting it twice, Smitty getting it twice.
Speaker 4 (24:58):
Okay, we ready to go. That's what has to happen,
and it has to happen Lvar.
Speaker 6 (25:02):
When you do a non negotiable, your players are locked
in for the entire game. When you get them involved
early on the first ten for the Sa Kwan tow
to aj to the Devonte, that's only eight plays. You
can go to the next two plays whoever you want
to go to. They locked in. It's not that hard, man,
(25:23):
It's really not mm hmm. It's players, not plays.
Speaker 5 (25:28):
Players, bro, I hear you, well, you got both perfect
who who has no?
Speaker 3 (25:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (25:34):
I just wanted to say, as an Eagles fan that
has unfortunately watched this team this year, I think TJ
is one hundred percent right. It's the offense is so bad.
It's just so bad. It's impossible to watch. And I
don't know about you guys, don't know if you watch
the game, but when the Eagles lined up and ran
the toush push four times in a row, I was
just like, I'm so over this. As as a fan
of the team, I wanted gone, I just this is bad.
(25:57):
But I do think, uh, you might see they play
the Vikings on the road next Sunday, and if they
lose that game, I think you're gonna start to have
questions in the national media about the guy playing quarterback
because there's a you know, quarterbacks don't play each other.
But Jackson dart is down Molik neighbors and still manage
(26:18):
to play well and win that game. While Jalen Hurts
has a J Brown, DeVante Smith Sakuon Barkley. Guys got
you gotta make plays if you have those many weapons,
otherwise you're gonna start to get questioned.
Speaker 2 (26:30):
There is a lot of stats that kind of pop
out looking at the Eagles offense right now, and I like, look,
they've gone They've gone over like so many offensive coordinators
and once again we've gone back to Nick Sirianni hiring
his own offensive coordinator after you lost Kellen Moore. But
I'm trying to find all of them right now. But
like the the the depth of target for Jalen Hurts
(26:51):
is not good. The time it takes for the Eagles
to snap the ball before to get a playoff, even
even in like a gauge where we understand what no
huddle offense is, it's like almost dead last. They take
forever to get every playoff and they're not running it.
Speaker 3 (27:09):
But design it would it would be nice clock type
of team.
Speaker 2 (27:14):
It I think it is by design, But the same
time that also has to be adaptable. Like the Detroit Lions,
they can sit on you for an eleven you know,
an eleven minute drive, but if they're down and behind
the ball, which the Eagles keep finding themselves. They also
need to learn how to like snap faster and go
faster and pressure when the clock isn't your.
Speaker 8 (27:31):
First Yeah, that worked last year when Saquon Barklay was
regularly running for one hundred and fifty yards a game,
but he's averaging what like forty this year is and.
Speaker 2 (27:39):
You're snapping with one on the clock and then having
a passing throw which like if it's in, which then
goes in complete and stops the clock anyway.
Speaker 5 (27:48):
So in conclusion, you guys are starting to think that
that the OC change and the OC change shows the
cracks in the game of the starting quarterback.
Speaker 3 (28:03):
I mean, is that a fair conclusion?
Speaker 8 (28:05):
Personally, I think there's going to be questions about Jalen Hurts,
although he's regressed, Like I think they've coached all aggression
out of him entirely. He's he's so scared of turning
it over, which that would work again if Saquon Barkley
was able to play the way he did last year,
but he's just not. To me, it's starting to like,
I think there's a real shot that of Eagles win
(28:25):
eight games this year, that Nick Sirianni might get fired.
Speaker 6 (28:27):
Oh why this is the thing though, when you talk
about he not going anywhere. His contract, he can't go anywhere,
and so to me, to me, this is the biggest
problem with the Eagles. They had a great offensive coordinator,
Shane Stikeen he leaves, and then they try to replace him.
Speaker 4 (28:48):
Bryan Johnson and other guys. They couldn't do it.
Speaker 6 (28:52):
So then they get another great offensive coordinator and Kellen
Moore he leaves. The problem with the Eagles that they
keep losing these offensive co ordinators that are really good,
and they try to replace within, and every time they
replace within, it doesn't work. They have to go outside
of the organization or you got to pay the offensive
(29:14):
coordinator like he a head coach, so you can keep
this thing rolling because these guys are leaving for the
opportunity to be a head coach, but they're leaving because
of the pay that you get that becomes with being
a head coach. If they pay a head coach, I
mean an offensive coordinator like a head coach, he probably
stays because you're gonna have sustained success.
Speaker 5 (29:35):
M I think it's a difficult situation to be in
if you're in Philadelphia because ultimately you always got the
dog on your ass there man, like you're only as
good as as your last victory. It doesn't seem like
you get very much of grace when you're not winning games.
I mean to think that, you know, if for some
(29:58):
strange reason they didn't have the type of year that
was expected.
Speaker 3 (30:01):
Nick Sirianni's under fire, Like.
Speaker 5 (30:03):
You said, contractually speaking, maybe it's not doable, but even
the fact that it becomes a conversation becomes kind of
that's that's pretty wild considering the type of success he's
had as as a head coaches, Like, what direction do
you go in from that if it doesn't work out
with Nick Sirianni, Like, that's that's crazy to think to me.
And then the idea of it being on the opposite
(30:24):
end of the spectrum where day Ball almost looked all
but out the door, and when Malik Neighbors went down, you.
Speaker 4 (30:33):
Had to believe that this was a rap for the season.
Speaker 5 (30:36):
But doesn't mean it's a wrap for for Brian day
Ball as a head coach, which by the way, he
is being investigated for for interrupting disrupting uh cushion profile,
which I thought was very He wanted that quarterback.
Speaker 6 (30:50):
He god, hey, Brian Dable was like, hey man, y'all
better get this boy back out here.
Speaker 4 (30:58):
We need him. I do not out Russell Wilson in
this game. Did you see that ball that rush through
out there on that third down? Hey man? He was
not playing? Bro. Hey hey bro, what what kind of pass?
Like Russ? Do you see Dave ball pannicking that you're
going into the game?
Speaker 3 (31:17):
What kind of pass was that that you just threw
out there? Bro?
Speaker 5 (31:23):
I couldn't understand it, Bro, I really could. I could
figure it out. It did make sense to me.
Speaker 4 (31:28):
But it's it.
Speaker 3 (31:30):
That's it. It's a rat for Russ.
Speaker 4 (31:31):
Bro.
Speaker 5 (31:32):
Can we can we all agree that it's a rat
for Russ? I mean, would you put him in? Would
you put him in as a relief guy after what
you saw him? Get in there and relief duty and
do this? We just I just honestly, would you do it?
Speaker 4 (31:44):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (31:45):
I would have Jameis Winston as a backup me personally, James,
it's run its course with Russ, yeah, Jamis. Because this
is a this is a thing, though, LeVar, when if
for when Russell Wilson has to go into the game,
the fans are going to boot that decision. They don't
want that yeah, and so now you're gonna have me
(32:07):
playing a little, a little hesitant. I don't think they'll
boo if Jameis Winston had to go in the game,
if something happened to Jackson dark, I don't believe they
boo Jameis Winston. But they're gonna boot Russell.
Speaker 4 (32:17):
Wilson already Wilson, right, they booed him when he went
the game.
Speaker 6 (32:22):
They were booing like no, and so if that's Jameis Winson,
I believe he gets a different reaction.
Speaker 3 (32:30):
Let me just step can I.
Speaker 2 (32:31):
Just want to feed you guys a real quick joke.
See if you like this, Okay, call Russell Wilson Christmas
presence because it's wrapped, Hey.
Speaker 6 (32:39):
Rapped yet hey bo put a bow on it?
Speaker 4 (32:45):
Put a.
Speaker 3 (32:48):
Tang?
Speaker 5 (32:48):

You know what we gotta do. It's always about me
out picking you and we do that in this. Hey
for some let's break this up. Let's break it up.
Speaker 5 (35:40):
Game.
Speaker 4 (35:42):
We didn't want to hear what you had to say.
Speaker 6 (35:44):
No, no, hey, hey, well, y'all gotta tell LeVar when
they he did college game, they we did his pick
saws and we destroyed him.
Speaker 4 (35:52):
Just f YI and let him know.
Speaker 3 (35:53):
Okay, I was going to let him know.
Speaker 8 (35:55):
I don't know where has been the last couple of weeks.
Speaker 3 (35:57):
Okay, Oh dang.
Speaker 8 (36:00):
Certainly nothing happened to Penn State in those those two
weeks year, nothing at all.
Speaker 4 (36:04):
Absolutely, but uh, LeVar was on college game day.
Speaker 8 (36:08):
That was awesome to see.
Speaker 7 (36:09):
We loved that.
Speaker 8 (36:09):
And we did mirror your picks. You went one in
three on the ones we picked U two plaques, one
and three.
Speaker 6 (36:17):
Oh geez, y'all didn't crush me. Yeah, last week I
went three and one, LaVar.
Speaker 4 (36:23):
Yeah, I didn't pick anything last week. You can't say that.
Speaker 3 (36:27):
You can't.
Speaker 4 (36:27):
You got against me, I know, so you went on
for No, I did not. I did not pick any
There's no let's do this. Let's go.
Speaker 8 (36:37):
We'll start this week. We're gonna start a bunch of
road favorites this week for you guys. We're gonna have
the Rams in Baltimore to take on the Lamar Jackson
List Ravens. The Rams a touchdown favorite here in The
total is currently said at forty four and a half.
Speaker 5 (36:53):
I'm going to take the under on the points, but
I'm I'm going to take They're not gonna beat them
back more than that, so I'm gonna take who's the
favorite again, Rams? Yeah, I'm gonna take the points on
that one. I'm gonna take the Ravens.
Speaker 6 (37:06):
So I'm I'm taking the Los Angeles Rams. I believe
they will cover the The Ravens are a mess right now. Defensively,
their best players is heard. We don't I don't know
if rokwand Smith playing Con Hamilton playing Metal beat gans out.
They just traded. We are Fenn State Nity line a
way to the Chargers. I'm taking the Rams.
Speaker 4 (37:28):
I do like the under.
Speaker 6 (37:29):
Also, I could see a score somewhere along the line
of thirty to ten.
Speaker 3 (37:36):
Oh all right.
Speaker 8 (37:37):
Next up, the Seattle Seahawks head to Jacksonville. Surprisingly, the
Seahawks a one and a half point favorite on the road.
Speaker 4 (37:43):
Here.
Speaker 8 (37:44):
The totals currently said at forty seven and a half.
Speaker 5 (37:47):
I'm a money line Jacksonville on this one, money, I
wanna take the over.
Speaker 4 (37:51):
Well, they're the under. I'm taking Jacksonville.
Speaker 5 (37:54):
Okay, Okay, I'm a money line Jacksonville and they're gonna
go on the over on points.
Speaker 4 (37:59):
Okay.
Speaker 6 (38:00):
So this is the thing about this, Hey, ain't right
the Jags have They just come off a huge victory
against Kana City Chiefs say high, Can you continue to
stay high with a really underrated Seattle Seahawks team coming
in to your home stadium? I say no, I'm taking
the Seattle Seahawks considering the Jags's emotional win against the Chiefs,
(38:24):
and I also go over with the points.
Speaker 4 (38:26):
But I'm taking the Seahawks.
Speaker 8 (38:28):
Oh all right. Rounding it out here, the Buffalo Bills
and Josh Allen. Coming off their loss of the Patriots,
they head to Atlanta to take on Michael Pennix and
the Falcons. Buffalo a four and a half point favorite
on the road here, and the total is currently set
at forty nine and a half.
Speaker 5 (38:44):
I'm taking over on the points and I'm taking Buffalo.
Speaker 3 (38:47):
To cover in this game.
Speaker 4 (38:49):
I'm for sure going under with the points.
Speaker 6 (38:51):
This is a tricky one here because the Bills are
a team that really wants to run the ball. The
Falcons defense is much in the Bill's coming off a lot.
This is a tough one. This is a flip a coin.
I'm gonna take the home team because I'm getting four
and a half points. I'm gonna take the Falcons.
Speaker 4 (39:08):
Right.
Speaker 5 (39:09):
That's up on game downing again, up on game down,
on game We got a couple more minutes before we
get up out of here.
Speaker 3 (39:16):
Thank you for that, bo and listen.
Speaker 5 (39:19):
I wanted to since we got like about three minutes
left in the show, I wanted to kind of broach
the conversation with you, TJ and this weekend's games. How
much of a must win do you think this is
for teams like Penn State and Texas obviously dropping out
of the top twenty five, but some way, somehow may
(39:42):
still have an opportunity to climb back into the playoff race.
How much of a must win is this on multiple
fronts for a team like you know, Penn State or Texas.
Speaker 6 (39:51):
No disrespect, LeVar, Penn State plays Northwestern, they gonna smoke Northwestern.
It's not about this game for Penn State. It's about though,
if they're they're gonna smoke Northwestern. If they don't smoke them.
It's no conversation. There's no chance of getting in the
college football Playoff. It's a possibility that they may be
(40:16):
looking for a new head coach if they lose to Northwestern.
So they're gonna beat them.
Speaker 4 (40:21):
Now.
Speaker 6 (40:22):
Texas, on the other hand, they got that. It's a
big game. They playing Oklahoma, and so it looks like
John Mattier will be back playing. I believe Texas is
gonna win this game. Texas has a lot of talent,
they're just they're just young. And so both of these teams,
if they can run the table, I believe both of
them will get into the college football Playoff. But it's
(40:44):
not gonna be if I'm correct, and correct me if
I'm wrong, LeVar. Penn State, they don't play Ohio State
or Michigan.
Speaker 4 (40:49):
Correct, they play Ohio State in Indiana and Iowa.
Speaker 6 (40:54):
Okay, Well, so for Penn State, the College Football Playoff
is it's done.
Speaker 4 (40:58):
They're not getting in. I didn't know. So they got
to play Afhiose State. They're losing that.
Speaker 6 (41:02):
That's three games lost the Indiana Also, Indiana is a
very underrated football team.
Speaker 3 (41:08):
I just are they still underrated?
Speaker 6 (41:10):
Hey, you need to You need to play this to
Franklin man play let him listen to this show. Tell
him to listen to this show. Stop being afraid and
throw the ball. You have a season quarterback. Let that
man throw the ball. Stop playing his two yards and
the cloud of dust offense. You can run the ball
more effectively when you throw it, because you're gonna loosen
them up. Throw the ball. You got athletes on the outside.
(41:33):
Let your quarterback and let your athletes go to work,
Like why are y'all playing football this way? Texas arch
Man is gonna be okay. But both of these teams
will need to run the table if they want to
get into college football playoff.
Speaker 4 (41:46):
In my opinion, yeah, I don't disagree with you on
that one.
Speaker 5 (41:49):
But I'll tell you what. We ran the table on
this show today. I hope you guys enjoyed it. If
you missed it, don't worry about it. The podcast will
be going up immediately following the show. And if you
enjoy listening to Fox Radio, give Jonas Knox a show.
Speaker 4 (42:04):
He will be coming up after this as well. So
I gotta make sure.
Speaker 5 (42:09):
I'll let you guys also know a little housekeeping. If
you're in the State College area. Make sure you come
over to the Stick City tailgate here at Spike Stadium.
We're right in front of the main entry to Penn
State Beaver Stadium, so I'll be out there. I'm going
down there right now as soon as we wrap this
show up. So enjoy yourselves. This is up on Game TJ.
Huschman's out of LaVar Arrington Plexes out, but he's here
(42:32):
all right up on Game Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 4 (42:34):
We'll check you out.
