Two Pros and a Cup of Joe, Fox Sports Radio,
LeVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you here. Coming
up on this Tuesday edition, of course, we're gonna have
Dean Blandino stop by. There's all sorts of questions we
got about some of the rules, some of the infractions,
some of the penalties called in the NFL and college football.
This weekend, we're also going to have a conversation about
double barrel action in the NFL. On Monday Night football

(00:56):
Bear's win. Was it a statement win for BENJ. Johnson
and what he's trying to pull off there in Chicago?
The Atlanta Falcons get it done. B Jon Robinson potentially
the best player in the NFL according to his head coach,
and are the Bills concerned? Plus Mike Tomlin's concern about
what the hell the Cleveland Browns are doing. We're also
going to have the very latest on the search for

(01:18):
a head coach in state college as well as Nashville.
All of a sudden, all of it is yours coming
up next here, It's two pros and a cup of
Joe on a Tuesday, Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
All right, all right, all right, all right, Happy Tuesday
to everybody out there. This is two pros and a
cup of Joe. You got Brady Quinn, you got Jonas X. Yeah,
you got myself, LaVar Arrington. You're probably curious as to
why LeVar cracked the microphone and start the show off. Well,
there's some crazy rain going on in southern California right now.

(01:56):
Everybody who's out there, be safe and well we're wherever
there's poor weather around our country, drift safely. But Jonas
is caught up behind a little bit of traffic due
to an accident, so he hopefully will make it in.
But until then, it's just gonna be mister Q and myself.

(02:19):
Oh oh oh, I guess he made it. Jonahs made
it in.

Speaker 4 (02:27):
So that's classic Jonahs always cut it so close. Here's
the thing is, Jonas had himself quite the night because
he needed he needed those Bears not to win. They
just needed to cover in order to go five and
oher in our picks against the spread this week.

Speaker 5 (02:42):
So round of applause, Round for one.

Speaker 4 (02:45):
Jonas Knox, who claims he's not a Bears fan, tries
to deny it, although last night no one was happier
than one Jonas Knox with the Bears and the walk
off field.

Speaker 5 (02:56):
Goal to win it versus I mean kind of your commandos.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
Kind of Well, what I am a fan of is
our YouTube channel, So make sure you check out the
brand new YouTube channel for the show. Just search two
pros FSR on YouTube again. That's two pros FSR. Yeah,
be sure to hit the subscribe button and don't stop there.
Hit that thumbs up icon and comment away. Let us

(03:21):
know who you like on the show. Do you agree?
Did you like it? I don't know what you think
about it? Were we completely wrong? Just check out our
new channel on YouTube again, just search two pros FSR
and subscribe. You know, they had them last year and
decided to start celebrating pretty early. They begin to think

(03:46):
that well, things were going to go their way, and
it didn't. But I'll say this to q Ben Johnson,
he had this to say about that same beers room
and what they think is going on.

Speaker 6 (04:02):
I think it says a lot about our locker room
right now. They're really they're not just believing, but now
they're starting to understand that, Man, if this thing's close
in the fourth quarter, then someone's going to step up
and make a play for us. And we had a
number of guys here in this fourth quarter that did that,
And so I think these wins sometimes can go more

(04:24):
a longer way for your program than those blowouts do.

Speaker 2 (04:27):
So it was good to see, man, well you, thank you.

Speaker 5 (04:31):
He's not lying.

Speaker 4 (04:31):
I mean, I think we've all played on teams before
where you know, you get the sense and just a
feeling at the end of the game that you're going
to find a way of winning the game. So it's
you know, I mean, I remember our magical year in
Denver back in twenty eleven, where you know, at the
end of the game, it didn't matter if it's our defense.

(04:52):
Making a play didn't matter if it was TBO finding
a miraculous way of making a player Matt Prater hitting
a sixty plus yard field goal, which.

Speaker 5 (04:59):
Back then was very uncommon.

Speaker 4 (05:03):
There was just this belief and thought that if it
was close, we'd find a way in the end, like
they'd falter, they'd fade. And that's real. And so credit
to Ben Johnson in his first year to be able
to kind of build together this camaraderie amongst the players
in the locker room to start to have it and
start to believe it. But they have to do it.

(05:24):
And that's the thing, Like you know, those wins and
wins like last night, it's something that you stack for
the future because you think back, like, yeah, I believe
in Jake, Like I know, if you're Caleb Williams, you
don't feel the need to press to have to go
down there and get a touchdown. You're like, no, no,
I know my kicker can make it under the clutch, Like,
I know he'll be able to deliver it, you know,

(05:45):
if we put him in a position to do it.
And I think if you just look at, for example,
how the Bears played last night, like that.

Speaker 5 (05:52):
Was a game of winning football. I know it was
back and forth.

Speaker 4 (05:55):
A little bit, but the reality is then turn the
football over, you know, statistically speaking, like you can look
at the run game, I thought they've ran the football
a lot better than they have at least DeAndre Swift
was a lot more impactful in that sense. I thought
Killib Williams and the way he played kind of managed
things too in particularly on third down.

Speaker 5 (06:14):
Like there was there was times where I was.

Speaker 4 (06:16):
Watching thinking, all right, like, if this Bears team can
show up every week, they're gonna be a tough out
and we'll see where the chips fall at the end
of season. But that's the question is are are they
building something or is this gonna be kind of this
up and down roller coaster to ride the rest of
the season. My bet is that this is the start

(06:36):
of something special in Chicago, because if they get that effort,
that performance out of this group, I think you could,
you know, throw them into that a team that could
be playing for a wildcard spot when it's all said
and done.

Speaker 3 (06:49):
I just wanted to enjoy the compliments to the Chicago
Bears that have not been heard on this show at
all over the past four years.

Speaker 5 (06:55):
Congrats, Jonas. We tried to give you a round of
a plug a week.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
I mean, well, what a what a poor winner, What
a poor winner?

Speaker 3 (07:07):
Look, I mean I think that Caleb Williams that whole thing,
there's still a work in progress there. He's inaccurate at times.
But the one thing that helped last night is all
of a sudden, they found the running game like DeAndre Swift.
That might have been the best game he's had as
a Bear, and the defense actually showed up, created turnovers

(07:29):
and gave them an opportunity down the stretch to win
that game. So it was a nice win. That's back
to back road wins for them.

Speaker 2 (07:36):
I mean, the one turnover was kind of a giveaway.
Not not so much they generated a turnover.

Speaker 3 (07:43):
It's just you don't think striking fear into that Washington
Commander's offense.

Speaker 2 (07:47):
It was just it was it was a miss, you know,
mishandled exchange, mishandled exchange. I mean it's I mean, it
was very very you know, opportunistic for them to get it. Though.
It wasn't like they just let them get the ball.
They did get it, so but I mean they didn't
force that fumble.

Speaker 3 (08:05):
Though, did that game. Did that game tell you more?
I guess did you have more questions coming out of
that game? Or more questions coming out of what the
hell was that from the Bills last night?

Speaker 2 (08:18):
And I think the Bills are.

Speaker 3 (08:20):
Because I had a weird feeling, like guy, you know,
any given Sunday or in this case, Monday, you know
somebody could get you. But they didn't look good man.
And that's multiple weeks in a row they haven't looked good.
And I don't want to go hyperbole, but you know,
if we're being fair, they also didn't look very good
for three and a half quarters against Baltimore to open
up the season. It just, you know, I don't think

(08:43):
it's panic mode, but it is kind of interesting that
here we are, Week six and the Patriots are leading
that division.

Speaker 2 (08:50):
It's football, and when you look at how these teams
begin to settle in to the season and guys are
getting there their season legs and stuff like that, you
know you're going to see better games, better football seemingly.
I mean you would you would hope that you're going

(09:12):
to see more competition. You're you're not going to just
see teams run over other teams. I mean again, I've
been saying it all along. I haven't seen a what
is the dominant team in the NFL this year? I mean,
I know you guys keep bringing up the Colts, but
I have not seen a this is the dominant team

(09:34):
that's in the NFL right now. So I can't say
I was I was not surprised, especially the fact the
way that Bijon Robinson got in tune with the game
and the way he was playing. I wasn't surprised at
the outcome. But with that being said, it does lend

(09:54):
to the conversation of what are the Buffalo Bills. I mean,
this type of loss, it just it just begs the
question what type of team are they? Are they the
team that is going to find ways to win or
dominate a team, or are they this team that's going
to be, you know, inconsistent as as the season goes on.
I think it's too early to tell what that is.

(10:16):
But I will say it's a quality win for Atlanta
and and maybe this is just as much about Atlanta improving.
Pennix protected the ball. Jon Robinson was effective both both
in the run game and in the passing game. So
I don't I don't find this to be a shocker
if you have those guys on the same page.

Speaker 4 (10:37):
Bijon's probably the most underrated running back where I feel
like if he was on a team that was a contender,
we talked about him like a potential MVP candidate, that's
how talented he is. But again, that's what we'll see
what Atlanta can roll into you because they are a
young team. I mean, the combination of Bijon and Drake
London in regards to distributing them the foot ball that

(11:00):
is the entirety of the offense in Atlanta. So it's
fun to watch, you know, is it sustainable? They have
to have more guys step up and help out back
to the bills.

Speaker 5 (11:11):
It's interesting.

Speaker 4 (11:12):
If we were looking at a playoffs snapshot right now,
the number one overall.

Speaker 5 (11:16):
Seed in the AFC would be Indy.

Speaker 4 (11:18):
You'd have Pitt New England and l a C would
represent your top four seeds. Buffalo would be a wildcard,
Jacksonville be a wildcard, and Denver would be a wildcard.

Speaker 2 (11:29):
Just how he drew it up, it will be pretty
pretty competitive. That's that's what's just.

Speaker 4 (11:35):
Kind of crazy, right Like no Kansas City, no Baltimore,
no Cincinnati.

Speaker 3 (11:41):
Because basically whoever we picked him and out of the
AFC to go to the super Bowl will not make
the playoffs if it started today crazy.

Speaker 4 (11:47):
Which which again I mean, and and just to hear
like Buffalo as a wildcard compared to New England, it's
I know, I don't think that's going to be the
case when it's all said and done.

Speaker 5 (11:58):
I think Buffalo will once will eventually win the but.

Speaker 4 (12:02):
I mean, it's it's gonna be kind of tight, and
there's some teams that I think there's a great disparity
between the Titans, and we'll get into them, and obviously
the Jets and Dolphins and the Browns and other teams
who have really really struggled and I don't think they're
gonna figure it out. Like I don't see many wins
on the horizon, So there's gonna be a lot of halves,
and there's a be have nots. Then a couple of

(12:24):
teams kind of battling for those those wildcard spots, but
I don't think Buffalo is one of them. It's just
you see a performance like that last night, and you
see uncharacteristic things too. You see Josh Allen pressing and
forcing the football and you know, making kind of those
like bad mistakes he used to make, I don't know,
maybe three years ago, like are the things like rear

(12:45):
it's ugly headed. And I know it's one game, so
I'm not trying to make a ton out of it.
But I think when you when we sit back and watch,
and especially for all those gamblers out there or fantasy players,
you remember it because you go, all right, they've got
that in their system. Like it's a new year and
you're kind of evaluating the first five, six to seven games.
You know what this team is or what it is,

(13:06):
and like what their identity is, and you see that
and you just go, oh, they're still doing that.

Speaker 5 (13:10):
Huh.

Speaker 4 (13:10):
All right, well, I guess like that's you know, that's
one of those roads if they have a tough road game.
Not sure I feel a good betting on them, you know,
not sure I feel as good going to my fantasy
matchup with that team based on what we saw last
night versus Atlanta.

Speaker 3 (13:23):
LeVar made the point and he mentioned it, you know,
there's no great team, no dominant team. And I think
you know Prisco was making the point about college football,
Well there's no great team, and you push back with
Ohio State, which is the obvious answer. I don't know
that there's an obvious answer in the NFL, Like I
don't know who the great team is for a league
that wants parody. Congratulations, you got it, because last night

(13:44):
was exactly that to where Atlanta could beat Buffalo and
it wasn't really all that comes with the Bucks.

Speaker 5 (13:49):
But that's just me. You the Bucks of the team
I think have been dominant the whole season.

Speaker 2 (13:54):
I wouldn't give any.

Speaker 3 (13:55):
Team and then even but look at the injuries they're
dealing with, now.

Speaker 4 (13:59):
Like that'sies are part of it. But I just think
you to me, you look at the Bucks. They have
been the best team in the NFL so far the
season and they only loss is with to Philly within
one score.

Speaker 3 (14:12):
Yeah, yeah, I think so. And they also you know,
and a lot of their other wins came down to
the wire. I think this last week was the first
win of the season that they didn't win on the
final possession.

Speaker 4 (14:22):
But that's also part of you know, the NFL, like
these games are always gonna be close. I don't look
at domination based on all they're blowing teams out like
we saw the Colts do that for We'll give us
a bunch of bad teams.

Speaker 5 (14:34):
That's rare in the NFL. They're usually tighter games.

Speaker 2 (14:37):
So it to what the dominant not with the dominant teams.
When when you have a dominant team, like throughout the history,
whether it's the Greatest Show on Turf or the latest
with the Kansas City Chiefs when they had tree kill,
they were blowing teams out and and I listen, I
get it. There there's going to be tight games when
you're in the league. Like I get that, no no

(14:59):
argument here, but they're winning games. I get that. But
I don't do not equate winning to dominance. I I equate.

Speaker 4 (15:08):
Comparing like an all time greatest team to you know,
the Bucks so far this.

Speaker 2 (15:13):
Year, well, I mean, I just it's just an example.
But again, like I said, the latest example would be
when Kansas City Chiefs were and and we'll always those.

Speaker 4 (15:21):
They won a Super Bowl. One of the greatest teams.
I mean, I'm not saying the Bucks of the eighty
five Bears, but they've been the most dominant teams so
far this year.

Speaker 2 (15:28):
I wouldn't say no, I say they're they're the most successful.
They're having success, the Colts are having success. But I
just don't see anybody that is a dominant team in
the league this year, Like.

Speaker 3 (15:39):
You know who's dominant that you know it was dominant
last year the Lions. They were blowing everybody out and
running up the score, it seemed like, and then they
got to the postseason and got waxed by Washington. It
just feels like this year, good luck man, Like I
don't I have I have no strong feeling about Oh yeah,
I don't care of that team. Probably not Yeah, it's

(16:00):
probably not going to be them, But it does feel
like it's pretty well like.

Speaker 2 (16:04):
It's hard to it's hard to choose games this year.
It's definitely a.

Speaker 4 (16:09):
Game and see it has not it hasn't been hard
for some people because if we want to update our
picks against the spread, we've got an update. I don't
know if we have update music. Is it possible to
get that update music? Y?

Speaker 3 (16:19):
What do we have in the system as far as
update music?

Speaker 5 (16:22):
What do we have for update music?

Speaker 3 (16:23):
The way you just want the picks against the spread
background music? Or do you want some general up.

Speaker 5 (16:28):
Generic update music?

Speaker 3 (16:31):
Then along those lines, no, no, like you know, what
news music heard through that accident today?

Speaker 2 (16:42):
Hey man, godspeed.

Speaker 4 (16:44):
That was By the way, you guys do know when
you live in southern California, you're like, hey man, it's
raining out. Really it's really tough to drive. Like there's
other people in the country who are laughing at you.

Speaker 5 (16:55):
It was.

Speaker 2 (16:56):
It was. It's danger reign today, though, I will say
there a day that's great.

Speaker 5 (17:02):
It's perfect, absolutely perfect.

Speaker 2 (17:05):
That did not hit your not quite all right, Well
you got you.

Speaker 4 (17:12):
Following week six of two pros and a cup of
Joe Picks against the spread, here are your results week six,
Jonas knocks five and oh that's right, folks, he didn't
miss one.

Speaker 5 (17:27):
And this coming from a guy.

Speaker 4 (17:28):
Who's usually misses one or tru LeVar ericson one in
six his worst week of the year.

Speaker 5 (17:39):
And it only seems the programs and everything else going on. Yeah,
and then myself at three and two. A winning week
won't do much for it. But let's go to the
overall records.

Speaker 7 (17:49):
The tail of tape twins wins.

Speaker 4 (17:54):
Thank you, Jonas knocks on the season is eighteen and fourteen.
That's a winning per percentage of five sixty two.

Speaker 5 (18:01):
And for those doing math, at home. Yes, he was
sub five hundred until.

Speaker 4 (18:04):
This week, So huge week for Jonas to get him
back up and it being somewhat competitive. Hell yeah, LaVar
Arrington standing at twenty five and sixteen. That's a win
percentage of six ten in second place and in first
place myself twenty four to eleven, a winning percentage of
six eighty six. Those are your standings after Week six

(18:29):
of the NFL season for picks against the spread getting tight.

Speaker 2 (18:33):
I like where I'm at allowed to have I'm allowed
to have a down week, you know, because I know football,
So knowing football means you're going to have a down week.

Speaker 4 (18:44):
Well, I also think, like, what's weird about this week
was you know obviously when it rains, it poors.

Speaker 5 (18:49):
I feel like that's kind of been your week in
away a little bit. It's oh good.

Speaker 2 (18:52):
I don't know, it's just that I'm just saying me
with it.

Speaker 4 (18:58):
But when the opposite the opposite side of that is Jonas,
who never ever ever goes five.

Speaker 2 (19:06):
And that's what I'm saying, Like, as I looked through
the week, ass once, you know, yeah.

Speaker 4 (19:11):
Like Jonas one and four. You know, Jonas, like his
best is like three and two line Squirrels records.

Speaker 3 (19:19):
It also should be pointed out Knox locks three and
O this week, so this isn't just this show thing.

Speaker 5 (19:25):
They were the same picks.

Speaker 2 (19:28):
No I think I did. Uh?

Speaker 5 (19:29):
Were they Yeah?

Speaker 2 (19:31):
Yeah they might have been. Yeah, I mean, but hey, I.

Speaker 5 (19:34):
Know, you try to make it seem like there's like
eight great picks you had, and there were.

Speaker 3 (19:36):
Not good at good bounce back, good bounce back performance.
It also should be pointed out the the eight leg
parlay I was really concerned about. Yeah, God, the son
of a bitch, the bills all and I didn't even
need them the four and a half keep it. I
just needed the bills on the money line, and they
came out and crapped on themselves and cost me an

(19:57):
eight leg parlay five dollars to win one hundred and
thirty seven. Man up and vanished like a fart in
the wind.

Speaker 7 (20:02):
Gone, you're saying, that's karma, though usually usually hate money lines.

Speaker 2 (20:08):
You were you were talking ish.

Speaker 3 (20:09):
Onna, don't don't don't feed the beast here, all right,
we already got it, already got ridiculed for that yesterday. Okay,
there's Jonas m a all right, don't you wish you could. Actually,
you probably could say that on the air.

Speaker 5 (20:27):
No, you can't say that.

Speaker 2 (20:28):
I think this hour you probably could. It's kind of funny,
though I don't think you should.

Speaker 5 (20:34):
LeVar doesn't react. What we said is back and forth.
I'm trying to get a reaction.

Speaker 2 (20:37):
Out of it's really funny. I mean when I read it,
it was funny. Okay.

Speaker 3 (20:42):
I want to ask Lorrena and to talk back and
out on the air and see if you can't say it.
You can't say it. Yeah, don't say that.

Speaker 2 (20:50):
I can't say that, but it's funny. I feel like
there's worse.

Speaker 3 (20:53):
Eat my cake.

Speaker 2 (20:55):
I mean that that would.

Speaker 3 (20:57):
Work extra frosting.

Speaker 5 (20:58):
Please, come on.

Speaker 2 (21:02):
There you go see she let you know. I'll play
extra icing. What you're talking about? Yad dang Lorena? Oh
here she comes to you up. Oh here she comes.

(21:24):
It's Lorraine. No keep her, keep her away from Vegas.
She only comes out at night.

Speaker 2 (24:48):
There's a lot happening.

Speaker 10 (24:52):
Yeah, your sound effects sometimes are so funny because I
can tell when you're like I'm trying to control anxiety,
when you're control anxiety kicks in, like it's okay when
you guys are doing it to me and you're like
enjoying the ride of a Look at LeVar. Oh oh

(25:16):
we're getting that, LeVar.

Speaker 2 (25:17):
Oh yeah yeah. But when when you gotta get through
things that you're trying to be serious, it's a whole
nother game. It's a whole man. I mean, Jonas be
over there, tight light.

Speaker 5 (25:32):
He's like, you stopped that, LeVar, You stop that right now.

Speaker 3 (25:38):
It's like being at the free throw lin tire rack.
Being at the free throw people are harassing you. Are
you trying to hit a shot? Shut up? By the way,
very odd moment in the world of sports. Last night,
we're going to highlight coming up in another edition of
In case you missed it. You remember when, like a
long time ago, when Calahan was head coach of the Titans. Yeah,

(26:02):
last year and that's that a few games into season.
Another awful performance by Tennessee. I know they're listening to
us in the zone on the zone in Nashville right now.
Your guy gone for nineteen, your guy gone four nineteen.
Kelly is my guy and is uh no you go
in almost two sets? Well, I mean, what have like

(26:24):
the season didn't change. Yeah, season and change, not even
a season and a half. But he's out and the
Tennessee Titans are looking elsewhere. And it felt like this
was a foregone conclusion. There was front office changes, the
guy who hired him is no longer there, and so
now young quarterback got to start with a new coach
on a bad roster and a bad team. And it

(26:45):
feels like this was set in motion in the offseason
and here we are six weeks in.

Speaker 5 (26:51):
I really don't get it.

Speaker 4 (26:52):
I don't get why organizations make change for change's sake,
because that's how we got here. They fired Mike Ray
because why because it was time? How does that firing
look now? Like what exactly was the big fracture that
occurred with Mike Vrabel because they felt like they hit

(27:14):
their ceiling. I mean, someone that had to do with
the quarterback and in the quarterback position. While he was there,
he was beloved, he was consistent, and yes there will
be some down years, but injury play a factor. You know,
the quarterback position in general. I don't know that they
ever really figured that out. But you let Mike Rabel go,

(27:35):
he moves on and he's now a top of the
AFC East with the New England Patriots. It's like, I
go back. I just look at that decision and this
isn't like an indictment on Brian Callahan. It's more of
just he was set up for an impossible, impossible situation
as a head coach, knowing that it was a rebuild.

(27:57):
I mean, I'm not sure what anyone within the ownership
of the Titans expected. You're gonna have to give this
next head coach four years. It might sound ridiculously long,
and people might, you know, criticize me for saying that,
I would say four to five years to get the
roster right, the salary cap, everything else that goes along
with it, and get this thing competitive around them.

Speaker 5 (28:20):
I mean, just look within the division, like you.

Speaker 4 (28:23):
Just drafted cambod If he is the future at the
quarterback spot.

Speaker 5 (28:28):
Comparatively, speaking to the other.

Speaker 4 (28:29):
Teams, Trevor Lawrence, who looks like it's gonna work under
Liam Cohen right now, the way they're playing with Jacksonville.

Speaker 5 (28:35):
You know C J.

Speaker 4 (28:36):
Stroud obviously, you know Broke in the league was phenomenal
as a rookie, and I still think he's one of
the better quarterbacks in the AFC. Daniel Jones has resurrected
his career in Indy and he's not old, he's surely
not young. But it looks like that's gonna work for
a while. Everyone else around you guys kind of figured
that out.

Speaker 5 (28:54):
So if Camboard is.

Speaker 4 (28:55):
Your guy, it's gonna take a while to build the
offensive line that the staff put him in the right sea.
And he's gonna have to go through some growing pains too,
So this thing is gonna take time. And they even
give Brian Callahan two years and as you noted, Jonas, like
they move on from Ram Carthon and then they're sitting
there with a new general manager as a head coach.

(29:16):
You know, everything is being evaluated, everything's on the plan
on the table. So you know, this to me was
a disaster to begin with after year one, seeing what
you had on that roster, moving on from a general
manager and saying, all right, let's kind of start this
over again, like they should have never moved on from

(29:38):
Mike Vrabel in the first place. But I will ask this,
you know, postgame this past week, Brian Callahan did make
some comments basically kind of talking about how like Cam
Moore needs to play better too.

Speaker 5 (29:51):
And look, there's instances of brilliance where.

Speaker 4 (29:54):
You see why they draft them number one overall, you know,
the playmaking ability, and there's gonna be some rookie mistakes.

Speaker 5 (30:00):
But there's also some.

Speaker 4 (30:01):
Times where you're like, yeah, that those were some of
the plays at Miami where you go, ah, like, got
gotta get rid of that.

Speaker 5 (30:09):
You gotta get out of that out of your system.

Speaker 4 (30:11):
And I'm sure Brian Callahan's saying that the same thing
or thinking the same thing, and he kind.

Speaker 5 (30:15):
Of alluded to it a little bit. I don't know
if you guys saw that, but I wonder how.

Speaker 4 (30:19):
Much of it is the front office making the draft
pick and into the first season with cam Ward, you know,
basically the coach saying like, Hey, this guy's got to
do X, Y and Z better. It's not us, it's
kind of him and what we're asking him to do.
Do you guys see any portion of that play a role.

Speaker 3 (30:38):
I think that I think that he the writing was
on the wall. I think he understand he understood where
he was at with the organization, and I think that
he sensed that this was coming. And I don't want
to say that he didn't care. I just think he said,
you know what, f it like, I'm gonna be critical
if I've got to call this guy out, I've got

(30:59):
to him out, because he was getting close to the
breaking point to where if you heard him after games
previously in the year, not to say the media was
egging him on, but they were asking him like, you know,
you were talking about, you know, the effort and this
and that for the team, and the team was going
to be this and they were going to show us
this and they have and he had to stop himself
because he's like, I don't want to say something I'm
gonna regret. Like it felt like he was at his

(31:21):
breaking point. I wonder if he just said after the game,
like listen, man, like it's on him too, like I
can't just and ultimately they said, well that'll that's a wrap.
Six six games in and now they're looking in another direction.

Speaker 2 (31:35):
There has been poor play by cam Ward. I mean
there has been and there are things that he could
have done better and could do better, and there are
things that you look at, like even like the ball
he just dropped, just came out of his hand like
nothing happened, just just the ball just flopped out of there. Listen,

(31:56):
there are going to be growing pains, and I don't
leave personnel wise, this is a team that is ready
to take a next step. And and so I don't know,
I like things went downhill with Rabel after that draft,
right like his last draft, they drafted somebody. I don't

(32:17):
recall it all the way, but they drafted somebody in
my Vrabel and and I think they got rid of
AJ Brown and then they got rid of A. J.

Speaker 3 (32:24):
Brown got to forget his name out of Arkansas, I
think it.

Speaker 2 (32:27):
Was, and and Vrabel was like, you know, f off,
Like I kind of felt like that was the energy
that was coming off of what took place in that moment.
It's like, you guys are not putting braves in a
position to win, and maybe it kind of maybe became
a mutual breakup of sorts, like you guys don't want

(32:50):
to win. I want to win. So whatever's going to
happen is going to happen. But where this Tennessee Titans
team is now, it totally ends. And obviously where Mike
Graves is currently with how he's doing as a head coach,
it does lend to the conversation that Tennessee doesn't know
what the hell they're doing, who's ever making the decisions,

(33:12):
who whoever is is leveraging what they're leveraging. They don't
know what they're doing. And I think it's damning if
we're saying, if we're even at the point of right
now where we have to say, if, as it applies
to camp Ward, if he's your guy moving forward, if
he's the man for this team, if he's the franchise quarterback,
that's crazy. He's a rookie. So we're having that conversation now,

(33:35):
and you spent a number one overall draft pick on
bringing the kid there. That's crazy, that's a crazy thought.

Speaker 3 (33:44):
Why didn't they just and I know hindsight's twenty twenty,
But if you're the Titans, if you really thought that
he was the franchise quarterback, and this was even on
the table five six games into the season that you
were going to fire the head coach, why didn't you
just fire Brian Callahan in the offseason? Like like, why
why do this now to where now it throws everything off?

(34:05):
Timelines are misaligned, Like why not pair him up with
whoever you thought was the best offensive mine for him?
If this was even on the table moving forward like
that's part and I'll get.

Speaker 4 (34:16):
Well, well, what I also don't know is, you know
how if there's a fracture in that relationship between Brian
Callahan and cam Ward, if it's they thought that this
would be the right thing for them and then they
got into it and it's like, yeah, this isn't quite
working too well.

Speaker 5 (34:31):
You know, I don't I don't know how.

Speaker 4 (34:33):
Big of a role too, and how they divide up
going about roster construction, like how much day Brian Callaan
has compared to Mike Borganzi, you know, the the Italian.

Speaker 5 (34:43):
Now it's taken over as the general mentioner there Tennessee.
So how you doing?

Speaker 4 (34:47):
You know, all those things are up for interpretation at
this point. I just Mike, Mike McCoy takes over. Mike
McCoy's are really good coach, by the way, and you
know he'll be I would not be shocked if they
don't bounce back here and get a few wins too.
There's always that dead cat bounce back. It seems like
for some reason after there's a coaching change. But I

(35:10):
just I don't know if the long term vision is
for this team, and I don't know if they're I
don't know if they're looking at a coach and the staff.
If Mike McCoy's the interim and they feel like maybe
he could be a guy that similar to Brian Schottenheimer,
who they've got on their staff, they really like he
could end up taking over the role. You know, sometimes
that stuff happens. Because Mike's been in the league for

(35:32):
a long time. I don't know if there's someone else
that've got their eye on that they would like to
start that process with. As far as a young offensive
mind that they feel like they could pair you know,
that could pare well with cam Orton. Who knows who
that is. It's still so early in the season, but
there's definitely a lot of room to grow. And look,
mccamore needs help, and this is a roster that is

(35:55):
not built to be able to compete on a consistent
basis when it's not healthy.

Speaker 3 (36:01):
You know, would help him, probably Derrick Henry and Mike
Rabel like that would probably help him, like they seem
like they would, or some blue Choo, some compliments, some compliments,
but that would really help you know that, all right,
It is two pros and a cup of Joe here

Speaker 11 (39:32):
Bro, I know we're up on that taphone. Yeah, come on, no, no,

(39:54):
miss let's go.

Speaker 2 (39:55):
You miss it. You've cropped the line, all right.

Speaker 7 (40:00):
So yesterday I think I saw one of the craziest
plays i've bar Let me move on. Jonas is doing
his let's get serious face. All come on, guys, let's
do it. You see it, you see it? Come on, alright.
So last yesterday, last night, I saw one of the
craziest plays in my life, and I think in playoff history.

(40:20):
I honestly didn't know what was happening at the time.
So let me set it up for you guys before
we hear it. It was Dodgers Brewers NLCS Game one.
It was in the top of the fourth. Max Munsey
comes up to the plate with bases loaded. Max Munsey,
by the way, has eight career Grand Slams with the Dodgers.
That's tied with Mike Piazza for the most. So you
know that this is a scary moment for the Brewers.

(40:42):
He dings it straight middle Sam for the goes almost
steals it. But let's hear it, Brewers ready or network one?

Speaker 2 (40:51):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (40:52):
He is a fly older center it's hit pretty well.
Freelix back, Freelix hit the track, Freelix settling up at
the wall, he jumps up, Henny caught it.

Speaker 8 (41:00):
Oh, he bobbled it, but he ended up catching it.

Speaker 3 (41:02):
Tagging at third ist, Hernandez, here's the throw home and
he is gonna be out at the play. So now
the Brewers are gonna have another out at thirdist. Contrasha's
gonna run to the bag and double them off, and
the Brewers are gonna get out of this setting details.

Speaker 7 (41:20):
So from grand slam to a double play. All right,
this is one of the craziest players I've ever seen.
Sam Freelich goes up to snag a home run. He
bobbles it and while he bobbles it, it hits the wall,
so it's not a catch and it doesn't count at
all as a catch. So the Dodgers thought he had
to catch. So what they do is they start running
the bases and they go back to tag up. It's

(41:43):
a force out at home and then it's a force
out at second, so it's two force outs. Because Contres
ran back to first thinking it was gonna be an out,
but then went all the way to third. He was
supposed to go to third, but ended up just going
to second. So it's an out at third and then
an out at home because because it was a force
out and because he didn't catch the ball, he didn't

(42:03):
have to touch the like all you have to do
was touch the plate. He didn't have to touch exactly, Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 3 (42:08):
I love playoff base.

Speaker 2 (42:10):
Oh my god. Yeah, it's so good.

Speaker 3 (42:12):
Yeah. Yeah, and you know it's a rough. It's a
real damn shame that the Brewers lost. Boy, what a
what a bummer the Brewers lost? Go Dodgers, Baby, what
a bummer? Dodgers.

Speaker 7 (42:26):
You guys are ready for the next one. Yes, Buck's
latest decision seems like a desperate play for you, honest.
But let me let me tell you guys what it
is before we get into it. So, Alex, that's a
oh my god, I'm so bad at saying this last
name and one.

Speaker 2 (42:41):
More time and that was good. So he's no, I
did it. I thought that was pretty good. It was not.
It was same last name. Uh spell it O g
H A N A R d ye rodd to how

(43:05):
you said Jogan guard. Yeah, that's an easy gut guard
Mogan guard. There we go, there we go.

Speaker 7 (43:11):
So Milwaukee Bucks are adding Alex last name to their
roster on the two way contract.

Speaker 4 (43:16):
Uh.

Speaker 7 (43:16):
He'll join his brothers Joannis and Fanasas, making them the
first Trio siblings to be active on the same NBA
roster in history. This could be a ploy to keep Jannis.
This could be history.

Speaker 5 (43:27):
Is this worse than the Lakers drafting Browny? Yes?

Speaker 2 (43:32):
I mean if his brothers can hoop, I don't know,
you know, I don't know that there Alex Alex they
got I didn't even mean it that way.

Speaker 11 (43:45):
No, stand on it, stand on it with a whole
bunch of extra about that I said it.

Speaker 2 (43:54):
I'm standing on it.
