or having a good time, you know, with your friends.

Oh man?

Speaker 6 (01:53):
I'm good man Nice Saturday morning. Some great high school football.
Last night, that modern day Boscoll game might have been
the best high school game I've ever seen. Poorly officiated,
but the game was crazy good officials.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
Modern day pulled it out right.

Speaker 6 (02:10):
Dude, down twenty four to three, and modern that, as
you know, modern day has skilled players that are going
not they gonna be studs in college and potential NFL guys.
They don't throw the ball right. They get down twenty
four to three, they start throwing it unstoppable. They want
to just they want to play like James Franklin. Bro

(02:31):
just run the ball, run the ball.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
Right, man, stop that, don't do that.

Speaker 6 (02:34):
Hey, they came out throwing that thing. Boy, Chris Henry
is six to six.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
He's a bad boy.

Speaker 3 (02:41):
LeVar.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
He is going to State too.

Speaker 3 (02:44):
Huh yeah, Hey.

Speaker 5 (02:47):
We got to get up. We got to get him
on on air. Dude, do a little interview with him,
new era coming to State College.

Speaker 6 (02:54):
Man, Hey, man, the dude catching the ball and out
running the whole team, and he said, six he's out
running everybody, like the boy is big and fast.

Speaker 5 (03:05):
Were you there when Chris Henry was was there for.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
The Bengals? Were you there with his dad?

Speaker 3 (03:12):
Oh? Yeah, yeah, yeah we played together. Yeah, y'all were
on the seventeen.

Speaker 6 (03:16):
Yeah, and so when he moved out here, man, I
just felt like if I had passed, I would hope
my teammate would look after my son.

Speaker 5 (03:26):
Well, I was never your teammate, but I certainly would
would take crew and make sure crew did what the
lord's work was as being a hooshman's ouda and carry
that name on with pride and dignity. Now, there may
be somebody else out there that may be able to
say that and had more time in with you, but hey,
ain't a real one that's gonna hold him down.

Speaker 6 (03:46):
I tell you that. I just think that's what that's
what this brotherhood we have is about. Because his father
isn't here, and I'm gonna help him as much as
he wants.

Speaker 3 (03:54):
And if he don't want no help, I'm gonna let
him grow from afar but grow.

Speaker 6 (03:58):
Yeah, he's a type of kid that he wants advice,
he wants help, and so I'm gonna be there for
him as long as he wants me to.

Speaker 3 (04:05):
But yeah, that that game, there was both sides.

Speaker 5 (04:10):
He's not with pac Man anymore because he was not
pack Man for a while.

Speaker 3 (04:14):
Right a little bit.

Speaker 6 (04:17):
Yeah, he's out here with his mom is his brother,
Bubba is one of the top basketball players in the country.

Speaker 3 (04:25):
Like in the country, he's the top fifteen player.

Speaker 5 (04:28):
I mean dad was a freak athlete, man, freaking freak athlete.

Speaker 6 (04:32):
So yeah, he's that combination with Slim that's his daddy
and the mama.

Speaker 2 (04:40):
I don't know the mom, so I don't know, but
I'll take.

Speaker 3 (04:43):
Your word for it. Great person.

Speaker 6 (04:44):
But them kids are crazy, super free super yeah yeah yeah,
Rick James.

Speaker 2 (04:50):
Okay, I could get super freak.

Speaker 5 (04:53):
Speaking of super freak, Uh, there's some super freaky business
that's taking place in the LSU bro Louisiana. Talking about
the hot sauce at the beginning, but it's definitely some
hot sauce going on. What's taking place in Louisiana State University. Yeah,
we got some sound. Here was some interesting commentary about

(05:16):
basically some of the things that are going on. Well,
i'll let the A d I'll let the ad tell you.
Here's what he had to say about what's going on
with the playoffs and everything.

Speaker 7 (05:30):
We're not going to let this program fail. LSU has
to be in the playoffs every year. In football, there's
twelve teams that make it. It's going to expand here.
We have to be one of those at LSU. No substitute.
We have to be talked about on esp and every
channel were talking about LSU football.

Speaker 3 (05:48):
That is the way, TJ.

Speaker 2 (05:51):
I gotta say, what's his name, Sam, give.

Speaker 5 (05:56):
Me a name.

Speaker 8 (05:56):
That's LSU's interim ad Verge Oustbury.

Speaker 5 (06:00):
Okay, in a room, and I'm glad he's in a
room so that they can strike that from the record
of him saying it. It sounds good, it sounds great,
But does he understand what he's setting LSU up for by.

Speaker 2 (06:17):
Saying that out loud?

Speaker 5 (06:19):
But that's just me thinking before I go, like, tell
me what you feel, like, what did that make you feel?

Speaker 2 (06:24):
When he said what he had to say.

Speaker 6 (06:26):
Everybody associated with LSU football should think and believe everything
he said. Now, should he have said it, maybe not,
But if that's what you feel, why not say it?
Because the reason Brian Kelly is no longer the coach
is because he couldn't get LSU into the college football Playoff.
LSU is one of the top five college programs in

(06:48):
the country, and they should be in a college football
playoff every year, every single year. They should be in it.
I agree with him. When you can recruit your homes
state and surrounding cities and states near you, and you
have enough talent just in that three to four hours, you.

Speaker 3 (07:09):
Should be in it. LSU is one of those schools.

Speaker 6 (07:11):
USC is one of those schools like Ohio State is
one of those schools.

Speaker 3 (07:16):
Penn State is one of those schools. They should be.

Speaker 6 (07:19):
In every single year. Texas lan coins every single year.
I have no problem with what he said. LSU has
underachieved and if some and you know, I gotta be
clear with this. I'm like an honorary LSU Tiger because
both my daughters went to LSU. I know my nephew

(07:41):
is committed to LSU to play football next year, and
that they don't hire the right coach, I don't know
how that commitment gonna be. I think they're gonna lose
a lot of guys if they don't hire. Like to me,
I'm just telling you right now, full court press. Nolan
richardson Arkansas Razorbacks forty minutes to Hell. I'm going to
get Lane Kiffin. I'm going to get Lane Kiffin. I

(08:04):
don't care what it takes. I'm going to get Lane
Kiffin because if I get Lange Kiffin, were gonna win,
and we're gonna win. Right now, LSU's problem isn't defense,
it's offense. It's been and Lane Kiffin don't have a
problem with offense, and so for me, it's just LSU

(08:24):
football should not be losing to some of the teams
that they're losing to. Bro They should not and because
a lot of they don't want to do this. They
lose a Vanderbilt. Vanderbilt just gave up first play the game,
satting fire yard touchdown in Texas.

Speaker 3 (08:39):
Great play by Ryan Wingo.

Speaker 6 (08:41):
But anyway, how many kids on Vanderbilt which started LSU,
how many kids at Vanderbilt got recruited to LSU.

Speaker 3 (08:48):
Vanderbilt beat LSU. That's a coaching thing. That's a coaching thing.

Speaker 6 (08:54):
Or the coaches at Vanderbilt a developing players and the
coaches at LSU aren't. And so I know when you
go to LSU, they got a great receiver coach.

Speaker 3 (09:04):
They have a great corner coach.

Speaker 6 (09:06):
Because those guys when they get to the NFL, they
always do well. So that means they're being developed and
they're being well coached in college. I agree with him.
Some may disagree that he said it, but he's not
wrong at all.

Speaker 5 (09:21):
Well, I'll say this, I don't think he was wrong
for what he said, because excellence is ultimately when you're
at major universities, that should be your goal standard, right,
Like it's captain obvious type of deal. To say it
or to even believe it, that's what you should believe.
I just feel like when you say it and you
put it out there in the way that it was

(09:43):
put out there TJ. It's one of those things where
I would say, when a coach is brought in to
win and obviously to build a winner, you got to
ask yourself the question realistically, how much time does that take?
How much time does it? And I heard you mentioned
with Lane Kiffin they can win, and they can win

(10:03):
right now, and that's fine in theory, but once you
get in there and you you're able to look at
what's under the hood, see what's going on with this team,
see how the culture is and all those different things.
Sometimes it's not as simple a fix as it may
have appeared to have been. Sometimes you got to really

(10:23):
really do some some.

Speaker 2 (10:25):
Real deep digging and cleaning.

Speaker 5 (10:28):
Out of what it is that that may be the
reasons why a team isn't having success.

Speaker 2 (10:35):
And so when I say that.

Speaker 5 (10:37):
What type of precedents are you setting when making these hires?
How much time does And this is I'm saying this
because this is the same conversation that's taking place as
the coaching search has has you know, gotten into the
process of it with Penn.

Speaker 2 (10:55):
State, how much time does this next coach have? And
to me. That's what I feel is.

Speaker 5 (11:03):
When you make those type types of couh, you know,
those types of I guess points or declarations of what
you're going to be and what it has to be
and all those things, you've now set a standard in
the expectation with your fans. Which, okay, some could say
there's nothing wrong with that, we believe it, we're gonna

(11:26):
run with it, nothing wrong with it. But to me,
I think that can backfire on you horribly. Like if
you're a salesperson, first thing you're todd is when you're
selling and making sure that that you're delivering what you
need to deliver in the product that you're selling, but
also being mindful of the audience that you're selling it too.
You gotta manage expectations, manage expectations, underpromise, over deliver. Like

(11:52):
to me, I feel like that's the proper way to go.
It's a wise and prudent way to go if you're
a major institution, because you're gonna deal with a lot
of that weight of what if you don't win right
out of the gate, what if you don't win in
year two?

Speaker 2 (12:05):
TJ. How much time does a coach have if they
don't win in year two?

Speaker 6 (12:09):
I just this is just me. You look at LSU's
roster right now. They should win. They should win, they
should be winning.

Speaker 5 (12:17):
So what they don't year? What if they don't win
in year one or year two of year one?

Speaker 2 (12:24):
Alley, come on o kayo?

Speaker 5 (12:26):
How do you? How do you? How do you justify
a team like what you just said? It has a
roster that is ready to win right now. You get
a coach that comes in, they don't win, they have
a poor showing their first year. Where are they at
after year one? They showing year two? Where are they at?
I bet you there's a strong chance they might get fired.

Speaker 6 (12:47):
No, you're not getting today in today's today's college. I
don't know, man, No, not in year two? They see
it to me unless you as a team. Now, this
is a thing, this is a thing that I understand
about these universities when they're going to recruit right when
you're a blue bud and those schools I named the

(13:11):
Penn States, the Ohio States, the LSU's, the USC's, the Florida's, those.

Speaker 3 (13:17):
The Texas is.

Speaker 6 (13:19):
You always have skilled players, always, always, always. You do
not need to go into the transfer portal for skilled players.

Speaker 3 (13:30):
You do not.

Speaker 6 (13:32):
You do not you go to the transfer portal for
difference makers up front. If you do go get a
skilled player, it's a guy that was a five star recruit,
one of the top players in the country. You missed
out him on recruiting and you just have to get him.
But outside of that, you do not. You need the
big guys because if you're recruiting a correct way, you

(13:56):
have everything else you need. It's the guys up front.
You may have recruited the wrong guy. In LSU's quarterback
new Smirt, he's just not playing well this year. He's
not playing well and they don't have anybody that they
can go to. And that's where Lane Kiffin has evolved.
He always wanted a pocket passer, and this is where

(14:18):
the evolvement started to take place. And when I say
this name, you're gonna say, huh. He got Matt Corrall.
Matt corral was a stud, could move, was mobile. I
think that opened his eyes and say, huh, these mobile
quarterbacks ain't too bad. Gets Jackson Dart, another mobile quarterback.
Now that's all he wants to play with now is

(14:39):
mobile quarterbacks as his quarterback because he sees the value.
That's great coaching because he never wanted that. He never
wanted the mobile quarterback. He wanted the pocket passer. He's
evolved as a coach. Lane Kiffin is a dude. And
I feel like the governor when he kind of came
out and said what he said, I may have scared

(15:00):
some guys away. If I'm a head coach and I
hear the governor, the ad ain't gonna be doing the high.

Speaker 2 (15:05):
Convenor that that.

Speaker 3 (15:07):
That may scare some guys away.

Speaker 6 (15:09):
But knowing Lane Kiffin like I do, I'm giving him
what he needs, bro, because I just think he's an answer.
He can handle that. That University of Press conference is
gonna be god hey, even better his daughter dating linebackers
so they can see each other all the time, right there?

Speaker 5 (15:26):
Would Oh jeez, well, well, speaking of giving them what

Speaker 5 (18:36):
The Dolphins fire GM, Chris Grier, is McDaniel next.

Speaker 2 (18:41):
TJ.

Speaker 5 (18:42):
Huschman's out of seems as though he'll finish out the season.
I'm not so certain he makes it, but that's just me.
What say you on what you are looking at and
spectating on with the Miami Dolphins.

Speaker 6 (19:00):
And it's tricky with the Dolphins, right because you fired
Chris gear as a general manager, And when you look
at the Dolphins as a team, let's just be honest,
they don't really have the talent needed to compete. The
draft and the guys and the guys they draft and

(19:22):
aren't turning out to be players that they're utilizing and
they're keeping on the team training for guys giving them
big contracts and they're no longer on the team given
to his massive contract, And I wondered the Mike McDaniel
was he in favor of that, And so when you
look at a lot of the moves that Chris Grier made,

(19:44):
the owner felt like this was what was warranted.

Speaker 3 (19:49):
Now you go to Mike McDaniel.

Speaker 6 (19:51):
It's tricky because LeVar he hasn't done well outside.

Speaker 3 (19:57):
From the first two seasons.

Speaker 6 (19:59):
I believe Eve right, But dude, he's just such a
great offensive mind.

Speaker 3 (20:05):
He's you.

Speaker 6 (20:07):
You look and I'm gonna just give you two teams
that they're they're up and down offensively. If you put
Mike McDaniel as a OC at the Philadelphia Eagles, they
go crazy.

Speaker 2 (20:18):
M hm.

Speaker 6 (20:19):
You put Mike McDaniel's the OC of the Houston Texans,
they go crazy.

Speaker 3 (20:25):
And so I think.

Speaker 6 (20:28):
The owners head coach, I don't know if he's done
being a head coach because he he doesn't shore up
the defense, the offensive line that they're fast, but they
just don't have the pieces they need, Like wh when
you when you look at they Jack Jones, we coached

(20:49):
him in high school. They signed him in training camp.
He's their starting corners, their best corner. They signed him
in training camp. They signed him in training camp. You
couldn't draft nobody leading up to that. That would be
a starting the corner. You sign a guy, a guy
that wasn't on the team with training camps started, and
he's your best corner. Little things like that, do you

(21:11):
Jalen Phillips is gonna be a free agent, he wants
an You don't even know if he's gonna be on
the team moving forward after this season. He is your
first round pick, Like who's your best offensive lineman, who's
your best linebacker? And so they just have a plethora
of drafting and development guys because that's how the NFL
is won.

Speaker 3 (21:31):
You got you gotta draft and development.

Speaker 6 (21:33):
It's an honor to get the guys you drafted a
second contract because that shows that you're evaluating and drafting
the right guys.

Speaker 3 (21:42):
And so Chris Greer wasn't doing that.

Speaker 5 (21:46):
That doesn't look like it. I mean when you look
at their roster, it does. It's a lot of what
you're saying, right, it doesn't. It doesn't jump out at
you and say this is a Super Bowl contending roster.
I mean, maybe some of them are really good players.
I'm just not up on who they are. Like the
names don't jump out at me and resonate with me

(22:07):
when when I look at them, doesn't mean that they're
not you know, players that can can make a difference.

Speaker 2 (22:13):
I think it's a rap on toua. I think I
think the book is out.

Speaker 3 (22:18):
It's impossible.

Speaker 6 (22:18):
Man, they owe to Toa's salary next year is guaranteed.

Speaker 3 (22:23):
It's so.

Speaker 5 (22:23):
I don't know about where he how he like him
being on the roster, But it's a rap on. Can
to a be a bona fide franchise QB guy in
this in this league. I say no, it's a no,
it's a It's an unequivocal note for me, Like I
maybe I've been removed from the game too long, but

(22:44):
I still think that we stay active enough in watching
what's going on. I stay active enough, We stay active
enough watching these games from every level to see what
the evolution of the game has become. I don't know
if it's because he doesn't want to get hit anymore,
Because he is making it. You can see there's a
conscious decision that he's making not to get hit. You

(23:07):
can see that. I don't know if it's because he
plays differently because he doesn't want to get hit. I
don't know if it's they're calling the offenses differently because
they don't want him to get hit. But you talked
about early on success with Mike McDaniel and Tua, when
when Daniel came in, I believe the reason why he

(23:28):
gets the job is because he said he can he
can make things work with Tua, not not anything else.
So the whole contract thing that he have anything to
do with it, I don't think it really matter because
I think that him getting the job hinged upon. Can
he come in and salvage what they did in picking
Tua and so and looking at what they did early on,

(23:50):
Tua was much more aggressive. He was he wasn't afraid
of taking the contact, and a lot of times that
mentality is connected to the way they make plays. If
you take that away and it becomes a more conservative
approach and you're not taking as many risks, you're not
taking as many chances, you're not as aggressive with your
play calling, you're not as aggressive with the way you're

(24:12):
approaching the play as the quarterback, then it's going to show.
It's going to show. So I don't think this team
moving forward with Tua can win and I think that
he interviews pretty well. I think he had a gaff
in calling out people. I thought that was you know,
but I don't think he did that in malice. He
did it because that's just what he was feeling. But

(24:35):
I mean, maybe that's the only mistake he had misstep
in the media. He's handled himself well in the media.
He has has said all the right things and seemingly
has done pretty much the right things. It's just to me,
as the quarterback that can take the Miami Dolphins out
of this hole that they've dug himself in, it's not

(24:55):
toua And is it to a next year? I don't
believe it's to a next year either. I think we've
had an enough of a sample size of who he
is to make the determination that he just he ain't
it like that would be my take on it. As
far as everything else is concerned, you're building, I don't,
I don't. I mean, can you call this a total rebuilt?

Speaker 3 (25:15):
Sure?

Speaker 5 (25:16):
Why not total rebuild taking place in Miami? You got
to figure out what direction you're going to go in.
First step you do is get rid of the guy
that got you in this situation to begin with. So
they're going to have a new GM that's going to
help pull together what it is. This looks like moving
into the future, But TJ I look at it and
I say, this is an issue that isn't going to

(25:38):
work itself out. They're going to have to put the
time in to figure out what players need to stay,
what players need to go, what new players need to
come in. And if I'm just being honest, I know
you say the contract can't get it from under it, this, that.

Speaker 3 (25:52):
And the other's going to be doing.

Speaker 6 (25:55):
You know what his cap it is, if they if
they if they released him this this upcoming off season,
even after June first, you know what this cap it is?

Speaker 3 (26:04):
Nine No, I never ninety nine million.

Speaker 2 (26:08):
It's crazy.

Speaker 3 (26:09):
Ninety ninety million. So ta takaba low. He's going nowhere.
So they gotta figure it out.

Speaker 2 (26:16):
He's going anywhere.

Speaker 3 (26:17):
No, No, you can't.

Speaker 2 (26:18):
You can't win with him. No, you're not going to
win with him. It's how do you start? How you
say his rebuilt.

Speaker 3 (26:25):
It's his He's very accurate.

Speaker 6 (26:28):
If you're gonna keep tour, you have to make sure
that offensive line is like the Niners, like the.

Speaker 3 (26:36):
The Eagles, like, nobody is touching a quarterback.

Speaker 6 (26:40):
And if you because when there's too many, Hey, when
it gets out the pocket, are you like me?

Speaker 3 (26:45):
Come on? Slide, slide to a slide?

Speaker 6 (26:47):
Are you like And he's thinking when it gets out
the pocket, like I'm nervous for him just watching the game.
I'm nervous for him because I like to it he's
a great human being, at least when I've been around
him in my conversations with a great person. But I'm
nervous for him when he gets out of the pocket.
And so if you don't have right now, he has

(27:10):
Jalen Wado, and it feels like that's really the only
receiver that he's comfortable with. You don't have these fast
dudes that can force the defense to play back and
give you everything underneath. It makes the windows now that
you want to throw in a little tighter than they
used to be, and so your accuracy has to be
on point at all times because now those windows are

(27:32):
tighter because Tyreek Hill isn't playing. Those windows are a
little squeeze. Now they're a little tighter. M makes it
more difficult.

Speaker 5 (27:40):
I think they're in a very very tough situation. And
I guess my other point would be before we move
on from this and get an update from Ilo and
move on to a different topic, would be this TJ.
The facial expressions that we saw, the body language that
we saw for Mike McDaniel on that sideline in this

(28:01):
last game were not only damning to the idea of
him and his players, like what his players represent, it
was damning to where Mike McDaniel is as as a
coach in terms of being dialed in, like you can't

(28:22):
show that much like angst or or that that much dejectedness,
Like he was dejected on that sideline, Like he looked
like bro when they missed that that uh that pass
in the end zone. The facial expressions in the body

(28:43):
language on him is like man like where I'm drinking
later on man Like I can't wait to get home,
watch some Netflix or what like bruh. It was a
very very checked out, like it's starting to take take
a hold of Mike McDaniel.

Speaker 2 (29:00):
The pressure of all of this.

Speaker 5 (29:02):
It's seemingly now I am drawing a conclusion, I am speculating,
but it seems as though the weight of what's going
on for him with his job is starting to take hold,
and you could see it play out on certain plays
when they would pay off and show him after something
took place. I just think once you've lost it that way,

(29:23):
then you've probably you probably have lost the locker room,
so they probably ain't all the way fully dialed in,
and maybe you've lost your coaching staff. I don't know,
but I just think that it's a matter of time
once once you start seeing a coach react in a
way where he doesn't have that poker face on, or
it's not a fire that's behind it one way or

(29:46):
the other, winning, losing, good play, bad play, there's not
a fire connected to it. Which he's already a pretty
low key type of guy anyway. I just think tea
nothing good. I can see in the foreseeing future coming
out a bar.

Speaker 6 (30:01):
You know it's crazy too, because you know the trade
deadline is this week that I believe it's Wednesday or Thursday.

Speaker 3 (30:07):
If I'm not I think it's Wednesday.

Speaker 6 (30:10):
So the interim general manager was with our boy ap
Sham Kelly Man, you got about seventy two hours of
work in magic. Well you really have more than that
because you know it's the weekend Let's see what you
can do because they need help.

Speaker 3 (30:25):
They need help. Can't can't can he work his magic?
Can he? Can he show them today?

Speaker 6 (30:34):
I deserve his job long term because the Dolphins need
salary cap space, they need a lot of young, good players.
You get your trade for Jayleen rams you give them
a big contract, You change Jayden Ramsey for Mika Fitzpatrick.
And it watching that game, how many times you hear
me kronay never you know what I'm saying. And so

(30:58):
it's like, you need impact players, you need difference makers,
and that's what you gotta do is you got to
get difference makers, impact players in some salary cap space
and some young guys that show promise.

Speaker 5 (31:14):
All right, well, there's a whole lot that has to
if it happens to take place for things to work
out the way that they need to work out. Our
guy Travis Hunter, he's you know, he dealing with some
health issues right now. We're going to talk about that.
But we're going to actually talk about that on the
other side of the break.

Speaker 2 (31:34):
Right now.

Speaker 5 (31:35):
What we're going to do is we're going to get
an update from our guy Isaac Lohan.

Speaker 2 (31:38):
Kron what do you have going on in the world
as sports.

Speaker 10 (31:41):
Sir, Hello LeVar. Let us start at the Horseshoe in Columbus,
where number one Ohio State has jumped out to a
seven to nothing lead over Penn State with three twelve
left to play in the first quarter. Here's how they
did it. From Paul Keels on radio station WBNS.

Speaker 11 (31:56):
Saan gets the ball, looks quick flip, goes up the
left side of the Smith, who catches and goes to
the end zone for a touchdown on a fifteen yard
storing play. Julian sand to Jeremiah Smith, who got by
safety King Mac and Ohio State strikes first, taking a
six to nothing leader.

Speaker 4 (32:11):
MoMA, no.

Speaker 2 (32:13):
D They're about to go score a daintee.

Speaker 10 (32:16):
That was impressive, though. You are doing a show for
us and you're also hacking into the Ohio State radio
broadcast at the same time, so kudos to you for
your multi tasking ability. Meanwhile, number twenty Texas hosting ninth
rank Vanderbilt. Here was Texas' first play from scrimmage from

(32:36):
Craig Way on radio station kve ET.

Speaker 11 (32:40):
Quick swing pass, caught, fight, we go, turns it.

Speaker 12 (32:42):
Up field thirty thirty five, we go forty he goes
to good field, forget it, funk, forget about it, say
good night to it, seventy five yards on the first
play food scrimmage, Ryan we go that's it again.

Speaker 10 (32:55):
Texas has added a field goal. They are up ten
to nothing over Vanderbilt with just under four minutes left
to play in the first quarter. Tenth ranked Miami a
seven to nothing lead at SMU on a thirty six
yard touchdown pass from Carson Beck to Jojo Trader. West
Virginia has jumped out to a fourteen to nothing lead
at number twenty two Houston with two forty two left

(33:18):
to play in the first quarter sincere Bower's scoring a
short time ago on a twenty one yard touchdown run
for the Mountaineers. NFL Arizona Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon
announcing a short time ago that Jacoby Brissett will once
again started quarterback for Monday Night Football against the Cowboys,
but the Kyler Murray, who is recovering from a sprain foot,
could have a role during the course of the game

(33:39):
Tonight at eight oh seven Eastern, It's Game seven of
the World Series from Toronto between the Blue Jays and
Los Angeles Dodgers. Max Scherzer will start for Toronto show.
Hey Otani is expected to start for the Dodgers. Guys,

Speaker 2 (33:55):

(34:17):
That's Louisiana Hot. Get you something I mentioned We're gonna
get to talking about Travis Taylor. I'm curious to hear
excuse me, Travis Hunter, Travis Taylor.

Speaker 2 (34:32):
Draft dang.

Speaker 5 (34:34):
C t e H speaking of Yeah, we will be

and his health. Uh, but we'll get to all of
that on the other side of this break.

with the hour, TJ we got to talk about and

(37:25):
we're bringing cuffs on an hour two by the way.
But unfortunately, during a practice, Travis Hunter hurt himself. It's
a non contact knee injury. Coach Cohen says they're currently
assessing the injury just to determine the best course of
action moving forward for Travis and the team.

Speaker 2 (37:47):
He also went on later to say, you just.

Speaker 5 (37:49):
Feel bad for the guy, for the kid, for our team,
for everything. But he's in good spirits right now. Minor
setback for a major comeback. That's just the way it's
gotta be. When you hear a quote like that from
a coach. I ain't want to speculate. We didn't see
it didn't happen in the game, but when something like

(38:11):
that happens, they put him on ir He said, minor setback.
Do we focus in on the minor setback? Or is
this a major setback? And you feel bad for the
kid because he's got to figure out how to come
back from it now. I think initial reports that it
was not a torn ACL or anything like that. I'm

(38:32):
not how I'm not sure how true that is. I
don't know, but I know to put him immediately on
IR and know that he's going to miss that amount
of time. What's your what's your first initial take on
the news coming out about his health.

Speaker 6 (38:46):
It's unfortunate. Anytime it's not an ACL, it's minor. So
if you don't have it ACL surgery, oh for sure,
it's minor. If it's a scope of moniscus. You don't
want to have any of these problems. But if you are,
that's what you want. You want something that is deemed
minor compared to the ACL. It's just unfortunate. You know,

(39:08):
your rookie season, you're just really starting to like get
a feel for the NFL game. You're playing a lot
better offensively. It just sucks because they're relying on him.
Like I don't know what's going on with Brian Thomas.
You have a great rookie season and now you're in
your sophomore season, your second season. There's been a lot

(39:32):
of ups and downs, more downs and ups, But for
Travis Hunter, it's minor.

Speaker 3 (39:38):
But I don't understand what's going on. With all these.

Speaker 6 (39:42):
Non contact injuries, like, why is this happening? Why are
guys having so many non contact injuries? And I don't
know how many knee injuries you have. I didn't have any.
I hadn't had a.

Speaker 2 (39:58):
Lot of scopes, but I knew why.

Speaker 5 (40:01):
I knew why I was having them though I got
a big upper body, LeVar, but I was my cartlets
on my takeoffs.

Speaker 2 (40:09):
Man, that's true story.

Speaker 3 (40:11):
We our practices were hard.

Speaker 6 (40:15):
Sometimes games bro yes, like they don't even do live
periods in practice. We would be like Marvin would be like,
we're going live this period, you know.

Speaker 2 (40:27):
At least three at least periods during a practice nine
one on ones and team you're going.

Speaker 6 (40:35):
Through life nine on seven was for sure, like because
when y'all nine seven, we're doing one on ones and
you would do this a lot. Our practices were so
aggressive and physical and we didn't really I don't understand
the why.

Speaker 3 (40:54):
I don't know. If athletes are.

Speaker 6 (40:55):
Just more powerful and explosive than we were, I don't know,
but we didn't. We weren't having these type of problems
when we played. And they need to figure out the why.
Because he's too young to be having non contact injury, and.

Speaker 2 (41:09):
There's a lot of lower body injuries.

Speaker 5 (41:11):
I know Quinn brought up the grass, the surfaces, and
the cleats, like, maybe there's got to be a.

Speaker 3 (41:21):
Surfaces.

Speaker 6 (41:22):
It could be the cleat we played on, we played
on astro turf, LeVar.

Speaker 2 (41:27):
Astro turf, like.

Speaker 3 (41:30):
We played on we played on that. As soon as
you're getting that shot.

Speaker 2 (41:35):
Yeah, you're playing on concrete and carpet.

Speaker 6 (41:38):
Yeah and so, and that's that's just I don't know
what it is. Is it a strength thing, is it
a mobility thing? Is it a flexibility thing? But this
needs to get figured out, and I'm gonna look into
it because I got I have a son that's gonna
start playing this game next fall, and uh, we gotta

(41:59):
be ready to go. Just from a how can we
build our bodies to try to avoid some of these
things or at least lessen it.

Speaker 5 (42:08):
Yeah, yeah, it's interesting, man, I'll tell you what. And
it's it's unfortunate. I do hope he recovers to one
hundred percent at least whatever that that represents and is
able to come back and be a productive, productive contributor
to the team. So wishing him well. Hopefully it's this
season too, By the way, make sure that he comes
back this season healthy and able to do some things.

(42:30):
All right, Listen, we're gonna touch on this world series.
Don't get too excited. We're gonna talk a little bit
about it, but we ain't gonna go too deep into it,
and we're gonna have cuffs. The legend a part of
that conversation before we switch to the bigger round ball.

Speaker 2 (42:43):
That he is the expert on Talk a little NBA.
We got a lot coming your way. Make sure you
stay down.

Speaker 5 (42:49):
In tuned in to this show because well our two
will be good.
