You're opening song. It just really reveals a lot about
who you are. Bro.

Speaker 1 (02:12):
If you know a band that is no Camara, I
don't care not Alvin Kamara, clearly Camara okay from Cleveland, Ohio?

Speaker 4 (02:23):
Really yeah?

Speaker 5 (02:25):
Nice? How about that? Okay? I don't know how that
made it any better?

Speaker 1 (02:31):
But you know, all right, all right, well, I don't
know how this made anything that much better. We had
the NFL trade deadline yesterday, and there were some trades
I don't recall a trade deadline with, you know, maybe
notable names going the way that they went yesterday. But
let's start with the team who just decided, you know what,

(02:54):
we just have ourselves a good old fashioned fire sale.
And that team would be the awful New York Jets,
who decided to go ahead and trade cornerback Sauce Gardner
to the Colts in exchange for two first round picks
twenty twenty six and twenty twenty seven first round picks
and wide receiver A.

Speaker 4 (03:12):
D Mitchell.

Speaker 1 (03:13):
So the two first round picks and ad Mitchell go
back to the Jets. Saucegardner heads to the Colts, and
then they decided we're not done. They also decided to
trade three time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Quinn Williams to
the Cowboys for a second round pick in twenty twenty
six and a first round pick in twenty twenty seven,
along with defensive tackle Mazzie Smith. And there you go.

(03:36):
That's the New York Jets in a nutshell. And this,
by the way, the Sauce Gardner side of things. Right
after during the offseason, they gave him and Garrett Wilson
contract extensions to keep them there as sort of the
foundational pieces of the franchise and organization.

Speaker 5 (03:53):
Gohag you good well?

Speaker 6 (03:55):
I was going to ask you, I mean, doesn't this
kind of is this a rebuttal to your your comments
about MICHAELH.

Speaker 5 (04:01):
Parsons. Is Jerry Jones just throwing us right back in
your face?

Speaker 4 (04:04):
Far?

Speaker 5 (04:05):
I mean, you're trying. I think he heard you. He's
attacking you. He's going after Is he coming after me?
He might have heard us.

Speaker 4 (04:13):
I mean, we are nationally syndicated show. People do listen
to us. I mean, I wouldn't be surprised if he
did hear us. But I mean that that doesn't to me.
That doesn't change up how I felt about it or
how I feel about it. Like listen, he's trying to
shore up the interior part of his line. He needs
a pass rush. Like I get it. You want to

(04:33):
stop the run, but you also need to be able
to get to the passer. And Quentnin is a fine
football player. He'll improve their their defensive front and it'll
improve their team. I think it's yet another another piece.
Strategically speaking, I can see that that Jerry Jones is

(04:54):
possibly potentially him and Stephen Jones are positioning themselves to
be able to get you know, uh, a pass rusher
out of the draft to go along with a strong interior.
I will say, if you got a dope interior line line,
a very very strong defensive tackle, three technique, zero techniques,

(05:16):
whatever it is, it definitely makes life easier on on
the ends on the edges because you you have to
use multiple guys on the interior. I mean, you think
about that Tampa Bay team that had Simeon Rice and
and and guys like that on the defensive line. I
mean you had Booger McFarland, Chee Dahn two on the

(05:39):
other side. You but you have Booger McFarland and Warren
Sap on the inside. That's two formidable guys, and it
always allowed for them to have that one on one
blocking scheme against them, which you're not going to block
a Simion Rice, you know, by yourself. So maybe that's
the direction that that Jerry Jones is taking himself in

(06:00):
by doing what he's doing. But I like that the
Colts were aggressive on trying to shore up their defense
because they had the type of team that can make
a run. I like, in fact, as crazy as it
may sound, I like that if you're going to declare
that it's a rebuild, then what better way than getting
rid of two of your biggest players, most productive players

(06:23):
on a failing team to get more draft capital to
try to maybe start a rebuild. So I'm I'm not
going to take a negative approach on New York. Maybe
this sparks the beginning of a conversation of a change,
a change in philosophy, a change in how they approach

(06:45):
things as a culture. Maybe this signifies the end of
what was and the beginning of what could be.

Speaker 5 (06:56):
Possibly I put.

Speaker 6 (06:59):
It this way, Actually think it's how do I say this?
I think I like it for the Dallas Cowboys because
it's a good, strong, aggressive move.

Speaker 5 (07:11):
Clearly they know their defense is struggling.

Speaker 6 (07:13):
You go up, you get a linebacker, you trade to
get Quinn Williams, You've already tried to get Kenny Clark.
They are a middle of the pack team in regards
to sacks. Just if you look at the numbers, I
think they're seventeenth in the league. You know, however, they're
their pressure percentage is actually higher than that. I think
they're like a top ten team. That's according to if

(07:34):
you're looking at PFF. But so I don't know that
the idea that they really need an edge, right I
don't think that's the problem for them. I think one
of their biggest issues is like teams are just able
to do run throat whatever they want, and I think
that's more of the issue with the defense right now,
is they're allowing everyone to be balanced, and I think
they feel like if they stop the run or do

(07:56):
a better job of doing that, there's a better chance
that then they can actually, you know, get even more
pressure on opposing quarterbacks and more sacks. So I don't
I guess I like the fact that Jerry's trying like
this isn't a Dallas Cowboys team that's just gonna be
a bunch of hot air and talk like they're making moves.

Speaker 5 (08:15):
They're trying.

Speaker 6 (08:17):
You look at the Colts, as you talked about, like
the Colts feel like they're in a window right now.
That was a big time deal when you look at
what they've given up, you know, two first round picks
as well as Adie Mitchell, who to me is a
player who's got all the ability in the world. And
so for the Jets, they get a guy who's got
some to prove he's in a new environment.

Speaker 5 (08:38):
You could be a nice compliment to Gara Wilson.

Speaker 6 (08:40):
I mean, you legitimately could have two studs if you
can get Adie Mitchell mentally to be whereing he needs
to be, Like, that's a that's a big if because
obviously this team moved on ever since the fumble out
of the end zone versus the Rams.

Speaker 5 (08:57):
Like that's the reality of it.

Speaker 6 (08:58):
That play, that singular play, as incredible of a catch
and run as it was, that ended up being kind
of his last moment with the Colts, and they've been
mentally moving on ever since.

Speaker 5 (09:12):
And this is an example of that.

Speaker 6 (09:13):
So you know, they go get a player in sauce
Gardn who's going to be there for the foreseeable future.

Speaker 5 (09:18):
As Jonas mentioned, they just paid them.

Speaker 6 (09:20):
They feel like they have a window of right now
where they're trying to go win something in twenty twenty five,
twenty twenty six, twenty twenty seven. That's what that signified
to me. So I love the fact that we had
action before the trade deadline. I love the fact that
we've got teams that they're identifying what their weaknesses are.
They're trying to get better, like the Jets for example,
kind of kicking the candle the future.

Speaker 5 (09:41):
It's not that far down the road, George, the future.

Speaker 6 (09:43):
You start looking their draft capital for twenty twenty six,
twenty twenty seven, they can start making those changes immediately
and we'll we'll see where they stack up. But I
love the fact that we just had action. You know,
this trade dot deadline used to come and go. We
wouldn't have anything going on, and people would just kind
of be like, oh, yeah, it's football. It's really hard

(10:05):
for a player to you know, join the team and
get involved and learn the offense, learn the defense like that.

Speaker 5 (10:10):
That was what you still always say right.

Speaker 6 (10:12):
I mean, it's just kind of awesome that now we
get some to talk about after the trade deadline and
teams are being more aggressive.

Speaker 5 (10:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (10:17):
I don't remember one like yesterday to where you had legitimate,
big time names that were on the move.

Speaker 4 (10:24):
It's always like trade done. The deadline has always.

Speaker 1 (10:26):
Been more of an NBA, MLB type thing, NHL, the
NFL just kind of other than when Garoppolo was traded
to the Niners years ago. But you know, it's not
like he was starting a bunch of games or anything
like that. I can't recall the last time we had
big time names like this on the move. I just

(10:46):
think this proves you can know the Jets should never
be taken seriously as an organization ever, Like they just
in the same offseason. You told Rogers we don't need you,
and you told Sauce Gardener we do need you, we
want you here, we're gonna pay you, and they're both gone, Like.

Speaker 4 (11:11):
So, what was the what was it he didn't need
to have time to evaluate his talent. I mean, I
would think that that's legit, right. You gotta have the
opportunity to evaluate your talent.

Speaker 5 (11:23):
Why'd you pay him.

Speaker 1 (11:25):
Why did you give Sauce Gardener the contract if you're
just gonna trade him? And I think Garrett Wilson's a
little banged up right now. I wonder if he wasn't
banged up, would they have just traded him too.

Speaker 4 (11:35):
Well, here's what I started thinking about. When you talk
about a blockbuster deal that delivers that type of draft capital.
You know, Daniel Jones has totally galvanized the QB position
in in Indiana. We have not said the other name

(11:57):
in so long. They need a quarterback in New York.
I'm curious as to why. Maybe maybe one of those
first round draft picks, maybe you just give us one
and give us Anthony Richardson. You think that was maybe
possibly on the table. I mean they sent sent away

(12:18):
like a lot of capital. He got his face caved
in by a workout band.

Speaker 5 (12:24):
Yeah I remember. Yeah, I don't know that he's actually healthy.

Speaker 4 (12:26):
Okay, if you could get maybe that's what it is.

Speaker 1 (12:29):
Then if you could get a first round pick, like
if the Jets gave up a first round pick for
Anthony Ring No, no, I'm saying they should be relegated.

Speaker 4 (12:37):
I'm saying instead of getting two first round picks from
the Jets. Just take Anthony Richardson in one first round.
He's an ir though from Okay, all right, then that
makes sense because they need they need a QB.

Speaker 5 (12:49):
Yeah, well they he fractures orbital bone.

Speaker 6 (12:52):
It's it's like, like, I don't some people have a
hard time, you know, saying stuff after coming back from that.

Speaker 4 (12:58):
So m hmmm, I don't know. I mean, I know,
we don't say his name at nobody says Anthony Richardson's
name anymore, Like it's not even a afterthought at this point.
But he might still could possibly be a quarterback that
could be you know.

Speaker 5 (13:18):
I mean, look at Daniel Jones.

Speaker 4 (13:20):
I wouldn't have thought he would have been able to
go do what he's doing now after what went down
in New York.

Speaker 5 (13:27):
I don't disagree with his ability.

Speaker 6 (13:29):
I think the biggest difference between Daniel Jones and I mean,
Daniel Jones played a lot of football, Like he had
a lot of experience, and he also had a year
where he played really really good football. I mean, he
took a team to the playoffs. So that's never been
the case for Anthony Richardson. I'm not saying that he
can at some point. But there's a lot of maturing

(13:49):
that needs to occur and development that needs to occur
before that's ever going to happen. And the hard thing
about the NFL is they're not waiting for him to mature,
you know, they're not. That's not their priority. This is
a what can you do to help me?

Speaker 5 (14:04):
Now? You know, what have you done for me lately? League?

Speaker 6 (14:08):
So I again, not not even worth really talking about though,
only because he's he's on I R Y. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (14:14):
I just that's what came to mind when when I
heard that they were just they were going and.

Speaker 6 (14:21):
What came to mind when I watched all this and
I was thinking, like, dude, I can only imagine if
you are a player on that team. And look, I
understand that there's the logic of, well, hey, what you
put on tape, that's your resume, but I but I
also feel like there's gonna be some times where there's
gonna be players who are like, man, obviously we're kicking
the can down the road like we've literally can't and

(14:43):
bud Way, I've been a part of teams that are
are you know, two win teams at this point in
time this season, and it is one of the toughest
things to do because you're you are constantly preaching, hope,
constantly preaching to guys about like playing for you know,
your resume, playing for all these things that are real,

(15:03):
but you're not playing for a super Bowl. You're not
playing for any of that. And it gets really really
harder to motivate teams when they get to this point,
and especially after a trade deadline and a bunch of
deals that we saw in the Jets yesterday.

Speaker 1 (15:16):
I mean Breist Hall, like there was talk he was
gonna get dealt.

Speaker 4 (15:19):
They were talking about Hall.

Speaker 1 (15:21):
Stick around, Yeah, stick around and just swim in the
mud with the rest of us here and trying to
get too dirty.

Speaker 4 (15:28):
All right, man, how many games are left? I mean,
you definitely have have told your team that we don't
believe in any of y'all mother efforts. And I'm just
letting y'all know that we're going to finish out this season.
Y'all can win, y'all can lose, y'all can do whatever
it is y'all want to do. It's almost kind of
like a gangster move for real, for real, because that

(15:51):
like that's a brain f If you're still in that
locker room games.

Speaker 5 (15:54):
Nine games.

Speaker 4 (15:56):
That's a lot of games, man, God, that's a lot
of games for the season.

Speaker 5 (16:01):
I've told y'all.

Speaker 4 (16:03):
I've now let y'all know, y're all on notice. You're
you're all on notice, Like you think you can't get it.
Quinnon's a good dude. He's a better man than most
of y'all in here. He had to go, sass. Gardner's
a cool cat. He had to go. So I'm just
looking out all of y'all in this room. Do you

(16:24):
think I care about you? You better make me care?
Are you out of here? I mean every once in
a while, I mean, we don't live in an era
of time where scare tactics really work with this generation
of people. But I gotta say one of the biggest

(16:44):
motivating factors a part of football with scare factors, scare techniques.

Speaker 5 (16:51):
Hell yeah, scare you, and let me tell you something.

Speaker 4 (16:55):
You want to know the reality of what's going on
and and and the Jets building from here on out.
I guarantee you you're gonna see more inspired football bout
the New York Jets moving forward, because any of y'all
can get it. And we've just let y'all know if
we lose, we already losing. We're already losing, y'all. Mother

(17:16):
efforts have messed this up. Y'all didn't know how good
you had it until you start seeing dudes like quinnin
and saw us end up somewhere else and you want
a reality check. That's a hell of a reality check. Now,
what you're gonna do with it? I gotta be honest
to you. I'll be transparent.

Speaker 6 (17:37):
So all this, while all this was going on yesterday,
I was I was actually I was attending Nick Mango's funeral.

Speaker 5 (17:44):
Oh man, we h. The crazy thing about.

Speaker 6 (17:48):
It was it was really close to Floorham Park where
their facility is. And by the way, they have one
of the best facilities in the league.

Speaker 5 (17:56):
They have some of the best.

Speaker 4 (17:57):
That little label lake Off Little pond Man mate afted that.

Speaker 5 (18:02):
Yeah, yeah, well, I mean, no one's doing much there.

Speaker 6 (18:04):
I'm just saying, like everything they have at the facility
is incredible, the food, the people who work there, like everyone.
It truly is like a really special place. Like the
whole area around it, Madison, Morristown, those areas are really
really awesome places to like live and raise a family
and all that, but it was it was crazy because

(18:27):
you know, I'm seeing all these people now granted, you know,
past players and coaches and people who who worked work
for the organization.

Speaker 5 (18:34):
Still you know, we weren't seeing like their current regime.

Speaker 6 (18:40):
But I was just thinking, how like, all this stuff
is going on while all these people who have so
many ties to the organization or even some of the
people who are working equipment or you know, working the
training with the training staff and all that they're they're
you know, here a part of this and it's it's
got to be a shock to them too. But on

(19:02):
a separate note, super super sad day yesterday, but also
like pretty awesome. I've I've never I've never heard of
a yuleg if you will, or or a remembrance from
Alan Fannic who spoke and it was maybe the greatest
I ever heard like that man like I obviously have

(19:22):
always respected him as a you know, former player, but
the man that Alan Fannick is. And then when he
talked about Nick Mangold, obviously the man that Nick Mangold was.
You can tell why they were close and you could
tell why he was who they chose to, you know,
stand up and speak it was.

Speaker 5 (19:37):
It was pretty moving, It was pretty incredible.

Speaker 4 (19:43):
You would do. He still running marathons too.

Speaker 6 (19:47):
He looks fantastic, Like if you if you if you
saw him, you would never guess that he played offensive
line ever, Like he looks fantastic and and these is
sharp and he's just awesome.

Speaker 5 (20:02):
Like you can tell.

Speaker 6 (20:02):
He's a He's a Hall of Fame through and through
and in every capacity.

Speaker 5 (20:06):
That's how a lot of them are. Man, they lose
that weight, you know.

Speaker 4 (20:10):
You know, I mean not to change subjects because that's
a somber topic, but just to get us off of
being sad. That the only way that I would have probably.

Speaker 5 (20:19):
We're talking about the Jets is kind of hard.

Speaker 4 (20:21):
Yeah, Yeah, it went from sad to sad er though,
like saddest, you know, because that's a I mean, he's
a bright spot for that organization and he you know,
he got up out of here. Yeah, So that's like
really like kind of like dang, it's bad. But Hutchinson,
you know, the lineman, that the Hall of Fame lineman.

(20:42):
You know, we had a very very like turbulent type
of deal. Like since college, we we've always were like,
you know, he was that one dude that felt like
he was going to be the one that slams me
around and finished plays and go after the whistle. I
decided I'd be his huckleberry, so I did the same

(21:05):
thing back to him. We was doing that even when
we went to the pros. Just hated each other, like
he was one of the players on my list of
people that we just we hated each other, like literally
hated each other. And when I saw him at the
College Football Hall of Fame, we're talking da da da
this that we're like chumming it up. But he's looking

(21:28):
at me like he still had this kind of look
at me, like you know, I'll bust your ass type
of look right, And I ain't understand it because I
ain't know who he was. I'm sitting there chumming it
up with a dude that I've hated for all these years.
He lost that much, he lost so much weight. I

(21:48):
thought I was talking to like a quarterback, Like we're
having a good time. Tommy Fraser was there, Da da Dad.
We're sitting there at the bar where we're having a
good time. He's standing there with his wife. His wife
is slim, he's slim. We're sitting there talking and I
look at his hand and I'm like, hold on a minute,
that's a pro football Hall of Fame ring, not a

(22:09):
college football Hall of Fame ring. It looks better than mine.
Who is this? I looked at somebody and somebody said Steve.
I was like, bitch, can't believe it. I shook his head.
After I realized that I was talking to Steve Hutchinson.
I shook his hand, he shook my head. We looked

(22:29):
at each other. We gave each other a hug. I said,
I guess we're family now, so we got to get
over whatever our hard feelings were. And he was like, yeah, man,
we gave each other a hug. This was in Vegas.
It's a magical moment. Got to keep all shots out
to the lineman, right. It's cool little story. I had
no idea who I was talking to, man, and that
was the only reason why we even got close enough
to even have that moment. But anyways, it's just reminding

(22:55):
me of like a cool because Alan Fanica, big fan
of Allen Fanica, because obviously I'm a bit Steeler fan.
Jo Thomas lost a lot of weight to say, they
all lose a ton of weight, Russell o'koon. Have you
seen have you seen the Pouncy Brothers, Like all these
dudes that were like.

Speaker 5 (23:09):
Three or four hundred pounds, they look crazy.

Speaker 6 (23:12):
Slim My guy, Orlando Franklin, I think it's lost the
most that I've ever seen.

Speaker 5 (23:18):
Like you wouldn't, you would never recognize him.

Speaker 6 (23:21):
I played with him, and like I remember seeing the picture,
I was like, who's that? One of my guys is
like that's Orlando Franklin, Like a holy cow, it's incredible.

Speaker 5 (23:29):
I mean, he's lost a ton.

Speaker 4 (23:31):
You'd be sitting there like are you sick? Like you've
lost too much, You've lost way too much.

Speaker 5 (23:37):
You know who else got slim?

Speaker 4 (23:39):
Jared Allen got slim, like super slim. Like guys are
just I don't And I mean, I guess it's obviously
for health purposes, Like there's so many of your joints,
all kinds of different things, tardyo vasculars and all kinds
of different things, hypertension, that the silent killer, heart attacks and.

Speaker 5 (23:59):
All that stuff.

Speaker 4 (24:00):
Like when you're that big, your heart is working, your liver,
your kid and he's are working all crazy old time.

Speaker 1 (24:05):
Franklin looks like an NBA player. Now, bro, look at
the pounces.

Speaker 4 (24:09):
Man. Look, I mean, there's like there's a long there's
a laundry list. Them dudes do the best. He's got them,
U point. Let me see. Yeah he looks. Yeah, he
looks very slim, very skin.

Speaker 5 (24:27):
I'm just saying, if you even his face, like, it's
hard to like, it's like place it. At first he was.

he was, well, there's my chance, I'm gonna go out
there this. That's why I did.

Speaker 4 (25:11):
I did do double dutch when I was in grade
school and I was playing sports. You do pop ups,
quick feet, that's why that's why you had bad feet.

Speaker 6 (25:18):
That's why LeVar made it to the NFL because he
had good feet, because he did double dutch and I
got good rest too. He did probably undisturbed rest. By
the way, do you guys want undisturbed sleep?

Yeah?

Com the way tire buying should be. We'll have another
edition of in case you missed coming up here in
about twelve minutes from now. But we did get our
first unveiling of the college football playoff rankings, and congratulations

(27:57):
to the big ten Ohio State, Indiana sitting at one
and two, with Texas A and M, but three in
Alabama at four. Those are your top four in the
first unveiling of the college football playoff rankings. Any issues,
any gripes, any complaints with the first edition of this one,
Brandon T.

Speaker 6 (28:17):
Quinn, Well, I will go ahead and just point out
the obvious. A lot of people are frustrated. They're upset
that Notre Dame is ranked tenth because they've got two losses.
They're the highest two loss team in the rankings. So
that you know, I think you look at it and
you say, well, they lost to Miami to start the year,

(28:39):
and Miami is sitting back there at eighteen. Miami just
came off a pretty disappointing lost SMU. You know, Notre
Dame hasn't lost since those first two losses, and one
of the teams they lost against probably should have won,
you know, based on the officiating in that game. And
they happen to be ranked number three in Texas and
m So it's it's hard because there's always gonna be

(29:01):
people who are upset about something, and the criteria that
the College Football Playoff Committee uses is somewhat out there
for us to understand, and head to head is supposed
to matter, but typically the head to head doesn't matter
until the end.

Speaker 5 (29:16):
So I know people are frustrated about where Notre Dame
is ranked now.

Speaker 6 (29:21):
I think the hard thing for the committee is they're
going to have some two lost teams that are all
stacked up against each other that are going for at
large bids, and it's going to be hard to discern
which ones should stay, which ones should go because Miami
is most likely not going to play in the ACC Championship.
But if they end up ten and two a Notre

(29:42):
Dame ends up ten and two. You can look at
their common opponents all you want, but that criteria of
the head to head play is staring the committee dead
in the face. And I will just generally say this,
Do I think no Name is playing better football? And
if they played right now, their name would beat him?

Speaker 5 (29:57):
Yeah? I do.

Speaker 6 (29:59):
I think my he's going in the wrong direction. It's
been an issue for Mario Cristobal. They struggled in November
under his tenure. But I still also am a believer
in like what like, what you do in the field matters,
So when it all comes down to it, I don't
know that they'll keep Miami behind Notre Dame. I think
eventually that matchup will matter and it will come into

(30:23):
play if Miami wins out and plays the way they're
capable of. But that's probably the biggest one. And outside
of that, you don't have a group of I guess
they'll call it a group of six now because the
Pac two you don't have a group of six team.

Speaker 5 (30:35):
In it is now.

Speaker 6 (30:37):
They will get that the highest you know rank conference
champ will get in. They've been an automatic qualifier. But as
of now, you don't have one in the top twenty five.
So whether it's Memphis or whatever else, you're looking at
that group or those teams, they're kind of fighting. They're
fighting for it, but you can't even tell because they're
not in the rankings. Uh six, six big ten teams

(31:04):
out of it's eight? I thought, is it six or eight?
Top twenty five?

Speaker 2 (31:10):
No? No?

Speaker 4 (31:10):
Oh?

Speaker 5 (31:10):
Well and yeah, well is it twenty? Is it?

Speaker 4 (31:13):
It's three in the top twelve. Well in the top
twenty five playoffs ranking?

Speaker 5 (31:20):
Is it eight? That's got to be the most right?

Speaker 4 (31:24):
No, SEC has more? How many believe they have nine? Oh?

Speaker 5 (31:27):
Son of a gun. I don't like it's seven. Sorry,
I'm trying to count through. I think it's seven. Excuse me?

Speaker 4 (31:34):
So we have SEC has eight? Okay, so they have
more than us. I mean when you look at the teams,
if you're making, if you're making, if the playoffs were
getting seated today, I think this is a pretty cool playoffs.
It's twelve teams. What is it twelve twelve?

Speaker 6 (31:55):
Yeah, it's twelve, but you wouldn't you know again, you'd
have it for five weeks. Yeah, but you'd also have
a group of six team that's not in the rankings
that would be in. So that's the misconception is everyone
thinks the top twelve teams going that's not the.

Speaker 4 (32:08):
Case, right, It's it's like, I get you, I get
what you're saying. I still think the teams that are
on this list are I think it would make for
intriguing matchups, you know, not like and and I hate
to do this at at my own expense, at our
school's expense, not not like a bracket where you get

(32:28):
an s m U in a Boise State to get there.
It just seems like there are you know, maybe bigger name,
bigger brand for football name teams that are on this list.
Heading down this home stretch, there's what four games left
before you get to the you know ultimate you know,

(32:50):
seating and putting together what that bracket looks like. I
think it's going to be. It's going to be interesting
because Ohio still has to play Michigan, so that that
one is an interesting one just based upon how do
you how do you view Ohio State if they let
that one get away this year? And then Indiana. I

(33:13):
feel like Indiana has as good a chance as anybody
to finish out without losing a game, and so does
that put them at number one, you know, by by
season's end, and what does that look like going into
the you know, into the bidding or or the seating
and the brackets that you're going to create for for

(33:33):
the playoffs. I just I find it to be pretty intriguing.
I think this year more so than any year for
some reason. I mean, maybe it's the nil situation. I
don't know, but I think this year has been really
really entertaining in terms of the storylines that have continued

(33:54):
to you know, develop themselves and then continue to grow.
But yeah, I think I think getting this first iteration
of the of the rankings and the ratings, I think
really creates even more, even more entertainment value, even more
drama that's going to play out on these Saturdays. Because

(34:18):
even though some of these teams aren't where they are
supposed to be, like a Penn State and other teams
like how Miami has fallen off and some other teams
could have done better, they still had the opportunity to
play a spoiler to some of these teams that are
on the list.

Speaker 1 (34:34):
Oregon can't afford a loss, Like if you look at
Oregon's strength of schedule, they don't have a win over
a top twenty five team, Like.

Speaker 4 (34:43):
Well they'd be Penn State when Penn State was top
top twenty five.

Speaker 1 (34:46):
Yeah, but upon further review, like they're you know, Indiana
they lost to but if you look at Oregon, they can't.
Where they're sitting, you know, right next to Notre Dame,
they can't. Like, if they were to lose to Eye
this weekend, their season's over correct Like as far as
a college football playoff goes, like it would be a
really really difficult for me to see them in the

(35:07):
top twelve when it's all said and done. If they
were to lose to Iowa this weekend and they're going
on the road for that.

Speaker 5 (35:13):
How many games have they lost one? One?

Speaker 6 (35:17):
Yeah, I think, But he's bring up the point that
I think i'm and by the way, they.

Speaker 5 (35:21):
Have a really really difficult track.

Speaker 6 (35:23):
They go to go Iowa this week, who's top twenty
five now with with two losses, that can't afford another
loss either, but also sc also Washington. I mean, it's
a gauntlet for Wegan just their schedule alone. But to
your point, you know, we're going to get to the
resume comparison between the SEC and the Big Ten. I
think the hardest thing for you know, people on the

(35:46):
outside to understand is the College Football Playoff Committee's going
to have their hands full because what we're going to
start having to do is evaluate not just who you beat,
but who you lost to.

Speaker 5 (35:59):
And that's to me a terrible way of doing it.

Speaker 6 (36:02):
But I think at a day and age of college
football where you have a choice of who you play
in non conference, you can choose to play tougher teams
or not. I mean, I you, for example, want the
quote unquote SEC wh were out this year and look.

Speaker 5 (36:15):
Where it gets them.

Speaker 6 (36:17):
But there's other teams that didn't go that route, and
so do you give them credit for playing those games
and how those games go? You know, I kind of
keep going back to notre names resumes. They're probably the
most polarizing or controversial. But when you have, you know,
two losses to two teams that are top twenty teams
now one that's undefeated, ranked number three, you can make
the case A and M maybe should be two or one,

(36:40):
but it was on a play that probably should have
been holding call end of the game. You know, kind
of the whole situation. The way it works out, these
could have gotten notre names with so like all those
things are factored into it. But we're going to see
a lot of that with these two loss teams. I mean,
I think the ACC is wild. The ACC is the
one that you know, now with Georgia Tech losing and
dropping a game and you know it's not so clear

(37:02):
who's gonna end up playing for it. I still think
it's gonna be probably Virginia even though they have one loss.
That NC State loss was not a conference game, so
that the crazy thing about that in the ACC is
if UVA wins out, they will be in in playing
for the ACC championship and the loss versus NC State

(37:22):
will not count against them as a conference game. However,
if they do lose another game for the tie breaking scenarios,
the NC State game will now be considered a tie
breaking consideration for common opponents, which obviously other teams in
the ACC played NC State and have either won you

(37:43):
know one, or lost, so then.

Speaker 5 (37:45):
It does come into play.

Speaker 6 (37:46):
So like it's the ACC is gonna be wild with
the finish, just to see who plays for the conference championship.
The Big Twelve has two top teams, but I believe
they plays and next week or this week bou in Texas.

Speaker 5 (37:58):
Tech, Uh efforting, Yeah, well we have to break anyway.

Speaker 6 (38:03):
It's it's awesome the first, you know, playoff rankings are
indications of obviously what they think about certain things. But
there's been a lot more full sweet play.

Speaker 4 (38:12):
Yeah this week, yeah, this week a Texas.

Speaker 1 (38:15):
Well.

Speaker 4 (38:15):
While you're at it, make sure you get some original
Louisiana Hot sauce while you're watching these games play out
and as the you know, poles continue to develop, you'll
want that balance of peppery peppers and vinegar and salt.
You can eat it with your wings, your nachos, and
your burgers while you're watching the games, or while you're
at the tailgates, because well, that bold, hand crafted flavor

(38:38):
is what you'll want. Get it with the original Louisiana
Hot sauce. That's Louisiana Hot. Make sure you buy you some.

Burs So yesterday an article was published on people dot
com and this article is titled Tom Brady reveals his
dog Juny was cloned from beloved pet Lua, who died
in twenty twenty three. In this article of details that
Tom Brady using the company Colossal Biosciences, which you might

(40:14):
recall the story from earlier in the year about dire wolves. Yeah,
dire Wolve. Yes, this is that company. They brought back
dire wolves, and they also brought back Tom Brady's dog.
Tom is also an investor in the company. By the way,
he's quoted in this article saying, I love my animals.
They mean the world to me and my family. A

(40:34):
few years ago, I worked with Colossal and leveraged their
non invasive cloning technology through a simple blood draw of
our family's elderly dog before she passed, and they used
that blood to clone his dog.

Speaker 5 (40:46):
This clearly just tells.

Speaker 4 (40:47):
You and confirms that Tom Brady's success has totally disconnected
him from reality. I mean, like, there we go. That's
my conclusion, right. I don't know, let your dogs coming,
less you come and let your dog. Guy get a
new dog. My dog dies, I'm turning it into a suitcase.
I'm not not you know, getting I mean, come on,

Tom Brady, man, stop flawting that way. Brou Like, get
