(01:26):
during the off season, and I'm gonna raise my hand
and say, I might have made a little bit more
out of out of this story than maybe I should have.
Remember Matthew Stafford's back issues.

Speaker 4 (01:41):
The same. Yeah it's over, Johnny, that's what you said.

Speaker 3 (01:45):
Yeah I did, and uh I was wrong. Matthew Stafford
has been unbelievable this year, and I broke my back.
Yeah he didn't, spinal he didn't. And he is currently
sitting broke a record second on DraftKings with shortest MVP
odds on DraftKings right now, second to Drake May. Believe

(02:10):
it or not, Drake May is now the favorite on
DraftKings to win the m v P. So I did
not is dealing.

Speaker 4 (02:17):
Drake May is dealing? Boy?

Speaker 1 (02:21):
How about that win? I didn't pick them to get
that one, either, did I took I took them? Now
no you thought, uh yeah, people be screwing me over man,
I tell you what, it's their fault.

Speaker 5 (02:35):
Yeah, who are gonna blame no on that one?

Speaker 1 (02:38):
Uh, that's all of them. That's on bowls, It's on
all of them. I put my confidence in the Yeah,
stick's miss.

Speaker 5 (02:50):
You get a chance though tonight. You've took and you
took the Eagles money line as did I. So we're
on the same side on this one, buddy.

Speaker 4 (02:56):
All right, Well so then I might not go over.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
When's whens?

Speaker 3 (03:04):
Thank you, Lorena, You're welcome. Interesting so over the top.
It's really over the top.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
If we did it, I know it wouldn't be bad,
but now that we know, it's just it really is
over the especially the way you said you're welcome.

Speaker 4 (03:22):
You know, just I don't know, you know, but whatever.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
Yeah, I took Green Bay did yeah? Interesting?

Speaker 1 (03:28):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (03:28):
Interesting point knocks. Oh yeah. The line wasn't two and
a half on that game? Wasn't it one and a
half when we made the pick? It was two and
a half, buddy, I don't think it was then.

Speaker 5 (03:41):
You changed it because no one touches it, but.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
You can change it. It's always been one and a half.

Speaker 5 (03:46):
No, it was two and a half.

Speaker 3 (03:48):
I don't. I mean, we'll have to pull the the
clip from Friday.

Speaker 5 (03:52):
But I mean, if you want to go that far,
why don't you give me back my point that screwed
me out of going undefeated in College Texas week. No, No,
Kentucky Florida is now forty four and a half.

Speaker 1 (04:05):
If you guys want to go that's so hard. Let's
just let's just reset and start from here. Let's start
over and just let's go from here.

Speaker 5 (04:11):
Yeah, I'm sure you would be, Jonas.

Speaker 3 (04:13):
I think, like we're at second.

Speaker 4 (04:15):
I gotta start over. Yeah, of course you do.

Speaker 5 (04:18):
I think I like we're out on this.

Speaker 1 (04:19):
The same guy I didn't want to say his his
results on his one bad week.

Speaker 6 (04:24):
That he had.

Speaker 5 (04:25):
That's not trust. Send them.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
You said our results and did you stop? We had
to add you tell us until.

Speaker 4 (04:32):
Like three four minutes later with George.

Speaker 5 (04:34):
No, because that was the week I actually went six,
and oh I didn't want to. I don't want to
glow to brag. You guys each went one for and
then I went six and gonna leave it one for whatever.

Speaker 1 (04:46):
All right, Jonas, what are we talking about? We're listening
to how good Brady picks is his uh, his team?

Speaker 3 (04:54):
That's right.

Speaker 4 (04:54):
We got yeah.

Speaker 3 (04:56):
We got time to get rid.

Speaker 4 (04:58):
Of I just feel like we should start over today.

Speaker 5 (05:01):
Can I ask this question because I think the MVP
conversation didn't have much meat on that bone. No, what
the hell happened to Bills yesterday?

Speaker 1 (05:11):
You know I said there, like doctor Jeko and mister
high Man, like they're so inconsistent. Just when you want
to say they're the best team in the league, then
they go do what they did yesterday, and then you're
left trying to figure out who they are. And then
they'll pop out another week and beat the hell out
of a really good team and you'd be like, yep,
they're back. I just what yesterday does for me With

(05:34):
the Buffalo Bills. Until they win the Super Bowl, I
will never make them a favorite in my mind, Jesus,
I don't care. Yeah, I just won't. I just won't, like, no, no, no,
not in a game, just for the season. Like, yeah,
I'll give them favorites in the game. Of course, they're
a good enough team to be considered favorites in games.
But just imagine I don't have a win for the

(05:58):
week off of Buffalo versus Miami, my pick being Buffalo.

Speaker 4 (06:03):
Think about that, so.

Speaker 3 (06:04):
Can I can I make the case for the Bills,
not an excuse, but maybe uh you know something that
will maybe take some of the sting out of the loss.
All Right, So Miami had lost seven straight to Buffalo,
they were probably due and the Bills, well, the Bills
just had a big performance against the Kansas City Chiefs

(06:25):
and maybe this was a natural letdown spot in ninety
degree weather in South Florida. Does any of that? Does
that dog hunt in neither direction?

Speaker 4 (06:33):
No? No, no, no dog.

Speaker 5 (06:36):
They should have been looking forward to that warm weather
and then whooping a team that has no shot at
the postseason in the Miami Dolphins. Ass.

Speaker 3 (06:44):
It's also interesting that New England did the same thing.
They went down to Florida and they whooped ass, so that.

Speaker 4 (06:52):
One was more perceivable.

Speaker 3 (06:54):
New England's winning that division. New England's going to win
that division.

Speaker 1 (06:59):
Should be ampor Man in the playoffs. Like I mean,
I watched them pretty closely yesterday. That I mean, it's
a and and Vrabel is having so much fun. You know,
it's just like again, it's just that culture change.

Speaker 4 (07:13):
Man.

Speaker 1 (07:14):
But I didn't think that they had enough talent for
Rabes to turn it around.

Speaker 4 (07:19):
So quickly.

Speaker 1 (07:19):
But god lee like they look good, man, they look
like a formidable team no matter who they're playing, they
have they have looked good.

Speaker 4 (07:30):
So you know, coaches coached like, there's no secret to that.

Speaker 1 (07:34):
Man, the good ones that are out there, they shine
because there's a lot of posers out there. You know,
it's nepotism or you know homeisms or you know cronyisms.
You know, like you know, Rabes is a beast man.
And give give credit due to to uh, you know,
Craft for being like one of the best, like one

(07:57):
a Hall of Fame owner, for being able to hire
coaches that you know, he might have got a couple
incorrect maybe, but you know what now switching off from Mayo,
whether fair or not to you know, part of that
was a joke, but I'm now serious, just so everybody knows,
uh Craft switching off to getting getting a hold of Rabel.

Speaker 4 (08:15):
Doesn't it like it seems like a good idea now,
you know.

Speaker 5 (08:20):
It never felt like it was a bad idea to
be honest with me, I just.

Speaker 4 (08:23):
To move on from Mayo after a year.

Speaker 5 (08:27):
Well it calls that question why why hired him in
the first place? If you're off after a year like that.
But that's to me more of a Robert Kraft issue.
So I don't put any blame on OJ Mayo. You know,
it's not like he It's not like he had Yes, sorry,

(08:47):
I'm just gonna say that. It's not like he had
the opportunity a basketball player forty OJ Mayo, Yeah for
something an Oj Mayol in the back of my head,
I know he hasn't played and god knows how long.

Speaker 1 (09:04):
Maybe he was part of like Mayo on my sandwiches.
Do you see, I can't say I had a steak
steak kogy so with with Mayo on it?

Speaker 5 (09:11):
Y was this since State College? Yes, it was man
fries and nothing.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
I didn't put fries on it. I have fries with
it though, Yeah I did it with my salad though
not too long ago.

Speaker 5 (09:28):
Anyway, I wouldn't put that on mail like I just
that's more of a robber Craft thing. But look at
the end of the day, Mike Rabule was available, they
felt like they could upgrade and the rest is history.
So m.

Speaker 3 (09:44):
It just veered off into steak HOGI talk.

Speaker 2 (09:46):
I didn't.

Speaker 1 (09:47):
I didn't anticipate that, but I mean, what can you
anticipate on this show Bro.

Speaker 3 (09:52):
Yeah, that is true.

Speaker 4 (09:53):
That is true that you shouldn't anticipate.

Speaker 3 (09:55):
That's what with all sorts of all sorts of you know,
storylines and stuff out there. The Mike Rabel conversation does
also bring into question what the Tennessee Titans were doing.
You know, there's also that he was I mean everyone

(10:16):
was talking about, you know, Ben Johnson being the guy
that you wanted to get, but I always thought Vrabel
was the top higher on the market. And it seems
like you did well. No, it seems like a formality,
like the way that it was being discussed. He interviewed
with New England and then you know, within the next
couple of days like they had a deal done. I
think Robert Kraft identified that's going to be our guy,

(10:38):
and it just you look at the where the Titans
are at now and potentially the New England Patriots, who
I think some people thought, you know, we're going to
take a downward trend and it's going to be years
until they can get back to where they are. He's
figured this thing out in ten weeks and and they're
all of a sudden the contender and they're they're the
overwhelming favorite to win. That division again, so.

Speaker 5 (11:00):
Can I also give you a funny piece of information
from that Dolphins went over the Bills. So there's a
legendary bar in Fort Lauderdale called the Elbow Room. It's
been around since maybe like the nineteen twenty nineteen thirties.
And as you drive east and you dead into the
beach on Las Sols there in Fort Lauderdale, you will

(11:23):
see the Elbow Room on your left hand side on
the corner, and the Florida Panthers have taken the Stanley
Cup there to celebrate. It is one of those spots
that if you're in for Lauderdale, Florida, you have to
go buy it if you're of age to drink. The
interesting thing is when the Buffalo Bills come to town,
they take over that bar. It'd be basically becomes like

(11:44):
a Bill's mafia bar. And yesterday after the wind, Mike
McDaniels drove by the bar window down to troll the
Bills fans who were there as he was making which
based on I think where he lives, he would have
had to go out of his way a little bit
to go there, but made sure to drive by window

(12:06):
down to troll the Bills fans that were there. Pretty awesome.

Speaker 4 (12:11):
Wow, same thing. Make you laugh, make your cries.

Speaker 3 (12:14):
What'd I say that your guy bar?

Speaker 1 (12:17):
Well, yeah, I mean he made it one day, and
let's tell you it's a big day to make it.
You know, that's a big win for him, Like that
was a big win. And it comes on the hills,
off of the heels of the firing of the GM.
I mean, I don't know how that you know, how
that correlates or whatever, but I mean, if you want
to make a strong statement to we're playing out the season,

(12:39):
see how the season goes, and then we'll make a
decision from there. And you're looking at all roads lead
to the dismissal of Daniel as the coach, and then
you get a win like this that could be something
that maybe changes the tide, you know, turns the tables.

Speaker 4 (12:58):
But it could have just has been one week.

Speaker 1 (13:02):
You could go right back into the cellar with what
it is that you got going on.

Speaker 4 (13:06):
So you just have to wait and see.

Speaker 3 (13:08):
You know, if you actually look at where they're at,
because I think this next week is the game of Madrid.
The Dolphins have the Commanders, the Saints and the Jets.
They've got the Bengals left, they might be able to
get to like seven wins, which is pretty respectable considering

(13:29):
where they were. Like if they could, you know, go
on a little bit of a heater, No, Tyreek Hill
GM got clipped and Mike McDaniel could ride off into
the suns because he's gonna get fired at the end
of the year, so right off into the sunset at
least feeling better about himself. And it's probably the most
relaxed he's ever been. That's why he's driving by the
Elbow room mocking Bills fans who are out there.

Speaker 5 (13:50):
It's still pretty awesome. Yeah, it's still pretty awesome.

Speaker 6 (13:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (13:53):
I don't know what what Levar's got against him. That's
like I've never understood that.

Speaker 5 (13:58):
One more area oficance. As we were watching the Giants
Bears yesterday, and it's hard not to root or not
to choose, me not to watch the Bears because you
know Jonas is rooting for them. But Jackson Dart pulled
from the game. Russell Wilson went in. Obviously didn't get
the result they were looking for. But what's more concerning
is this is the fourth time now Jackson Dart has

(14:20):
been evaluated for a concussion.

Speaker 4 (14:22):
Yep.

Speaker 5 (14:22):
Yeah, And with the scataboo injury, it's hard almost to
remember a few weeks back where they were the rave
and talk of the NFL and now you kind of
just look at it and go Yet it felt like
that wasn't gonna last very long based on how these
two play. I love watching them, great players, but in
a league where it's seventeen games soon to be eighteen,

(14:44):
you play like that long enough eventually gonna knock yourself
out of.

Speaker 3 (14:47):
The game when you look at the play where he
went down with you because I think Brian Dable said
afterwards he didn't know which play he stuffed the concussion on,
but it was pretty obvious when he went down and
hit his head on the turf that he was not
all right, and he stayed in the game. He was
in the game for a couple of plays after that.
And so now this is another example of you know,

(15:10):
why wasn't Brian dave ball you know aware or you
know he got fined one hundred thousand dollars or whatever
it was for, you know, going into the medical tent,
and I just wonder if there's already the framing of
even though he's developing this young quarterback, you know, is
he putting him in harm's way And that'll be part

(15:31):
of the reasoning as to why they move on from
Dable at the end of the year. Because when Jackson
Dart was in the game yesterday, he played well, like
he was playing well. They were in control of that game,
and then Pete Prisco's guy, Russell Wilson came in and
it just looked completely different on offense.

Speaker 4 (15:46):
So yeah, see Russell Wilson bro.

Speaker 5 (15:53):
Yeah, he it didn't look good when he got in there. Man,
it didn't that unfortunate, but it was what it was.
One last thing I want to bring up in regards
to the NFL is something that I thought it would
get solved before Monday Ight football last week. It's yet
to find a resolution or I should say agreement between
Google and YouTube TV and obviously the Disney owned family

(16:16):
of channels ESPN, ABC and the Likes. Still a big
gap there, apparently according to reports between these two. What
I find interesting about it now is if you do
have YouTube TV, they've already emailed you that you can
apply for a twenty dollars credit, So keep an eye
out for that. If you're a part of YouTube TV. However,

(16:39):
it's kind of odd, Like, don't you think they should
just automatically applied it to your accounts?

Speaker 3 (16:43):
Like thought, I was.

Speaker 1 (16:45):
Looking for a game on YouTube yesterday. I had to
go to Apple TV to get it. Yesterday it was
on Apple TV, right, Oh, that was last night's game.
That was last night's game. I had to go to
Apple TV. I couldn't get it on it. But it
was supposed to be on YouTube as well, right that
NBC NBC NBC was supposed to be on YouTube though, right, yeah,

(17:10):
it was. I couldn't find it. Oh, I didn't find
I went on Apple. I went on Apple.

Speaker 3 (17:14):
It's only Disney channels, it's only.

Speaker 5 (17:18):
This, It's only the ESPN, ABC, gotcha. But the general
point is not sure why they just didn't automatically apply it.
I think this is one of those gestures where a
company puts it out there and then they're hoping that
a fair amount of people won't actually claim the twenty
dollars credit, which is why they do this sort of thing.
It's one of the reasons why, like, if you look
at airlines, you buy a refundable ticket. There were some

(17:41):
airlines that will not and this is actually American Airlines
is who I'm speaking to. They will not actually give
you a refund. They will give you a travel credit,
and then you have to go through the extra step
of then applying for a refund. Now it's not an
overly complicated process, but it does drag it out, and
most people who cancel think, oh, just go back on

(18:02):
my credit card. You check a week later, Oh, where'd
that go? Well, why can't I find that? Now, now
you've got hundreds of emails you've got to sort through
to get back, go back and find that specific ticket,
to find the ticket number, to plug in with your
name and information, and then go back on the website
and try to get a refund out of it. So
a little trick there.

Speaker 3 (18:20):
I used to try and do that with boxing pay
per views. They would say if if you bought it
an eighteen pack of Takati, you would get like thirty
dollars off your pay per view purchase or something like that,
and it never worked. The bike takati, No, the beer,
it's a beer. It's I thought it was a bike.

Speaker 5 (18:39):
I thought it was technical thinking you're thinking of a
du kati.

Speaker 4 (18:42):
Yeah, I thought that's what I heard him say.

Speaker 3 (18:44):
Yeah, it might have been Loreta. I don't know.

Speaker 7 (18:48):
Listen, you got to emphasize it right, how's the lah?

Speaker 5 (18:53):
Okay?

Speaker 6 (18:53):
All right?

Speaker 5 (18:54):
How'd to say it?

Speaker 3 (18:55):
Takati?

Speaker 5 (18:56):
Yeah, tikati?

Speaker 3 (18:57):
That's why okay is what it is. But yeah, I
thought the same thing. I saw the email that one Jon,
I saw the email from YouTube TV. I'm like, why
don't you just put it back on the account, Like
what's the like? Why do I need to go take
an extra step to get my money back? As you
guys can't figure out to fight? And I'm stunned because
I thought, for sure when Steven A. Smith told everybody
to go click the link to fill out the petition

(19:19):
to get YouTube TV and ESPN on on good terms again,
I thought for sure that was gonna work. And apparently
it didn't, you know, so here we are.

Speaker 5 (19:27):
Well that's the other thing is like you see Adam
Chefter tweet stuff out. It's like, yeah, stop stop stopping
a shill for your network. That's being difficult right now
and keeping people away from watching college sports. I will
admit this though, too. Saturday, getting home and trying to
watch a variety of games, you forget I mean, ESPN
buys up a lot of content and writes to college football.

(19:50):
And to me, if if we're looking at this and
granted people say, oh, you look for fall extrue competitors.
That's true, that's true. But I'm saying this as a
paying customer, it does, like even damage their reputation that
much more to me, like watching what they're doing, watching
how they try to squeeze every cent out of it,

(20:11):
you know, to force you to pay more or force
you to kind of go on their platform. It's just
the whole thing is dirty. Figure out your business, all right, Disney, Like,
figure it out. You're making plenty of money, Like you
can figure this out and stop price gouging consumers because
you're overpaid for the NBA. You're trying to make up
for that. Now I realized that that's in the past.
But that's the truth of the matter is you made

(20:33):
some poor executive decisions. Clean up your mess. Don't stick
us with it. We get stuck with enough crap as taxpayers,
like you don't need to add to this pile of
crap that we've got to take care of.

Speaker 3 (20:45):
About that, I'm.

Speaker 5 (20:47):
Just saying, it's like the consumer gets stuck with everything.
The taxpayer gets stuck with everything from stupid decisions of
people in control and power.

Speaker 3 (20:55):
Sorry, well I do know this. You can get tools
that perform at the highest level on every job without compromise.
When you shot maked at the home depot, when the
job calls for the best call on Mikita built to
be the best available at the home depot, how pros
get more done up? Next, though, we are going to

I could see him in my head playing the saxophone.
Can you play saxophone?

Speaker 4 (23:03):
Pete?

Speaker 6 (23:05):
What do you think? I'm Kenny g No, I.

Speaker 4 (23:07):
Ain't gonna go that far. I ain't gonna you've played Yeah,
I haven't.

Speaker 6 (23:12):
I haven't played an instrument in my entire life.

Speaker 5 (23:15):
Yeah, but you probably put some Kenny gr while you're
getting to be a smooth operator.

Speaker 6 (23:20):
WHOA No. But I'll tell you this if I if
I was ever to play an instrument, I would be
a drummer.

Speaker 4 (23:27):
Okay, why is that, Pete?

Speaker 6 (23:30):
You can take out aggression on that damn thing. You can.
That's why I would be a drummer.

Speaker 4 (23:36):
They call you little drummer, the drummer boy.

Speaker 6 (23:39):
What would you I'd love to hear what instrument you
would play?

Speaker 4 (23:42):
You know what's interesting, Pete?

Speaker 1 (23:45):
I played the clarinet as a first instrument and was
pretty good at it. And then I played every saxophone
all the way up until the ninth grade, uh, the
alto sacks, the gender sax and the baritone sacks, and
actually was going to try to I was going I
was trying to figure out how I could be in
the marching band and play football at the same time,

(24:07):
but I ended up choosing football.

Speaker 4 (24:08):
So wow, that's a true store.

Speaker 6 (24:10):
So a dork and an athlete all one who knew.

Speaker 4 (24:13):
Don't tell anybody, Pete, damn.

Speaker 5 (24:18):
You up for that?

Speaker 1 (24:19):
Oh no, I was third seat. I wasn't I wasn't
first seat. I wasn't that good, but I was third seat.

Speaker 6 (24:26):
Now.

Speaker 1 (24:26):
I was best with the baritone, like the big one.
I was really good, played in the symphony, like played
in a show.

Speaker 4 (24:32):
So wow, yeah, there you go.

Speaker 5 (24:35):
Interesting trivia Levard told me he plays the pocket flew best.

Speaker 4 (24:39):
There you go. I mean generally I keep the flute
in the pocket so ap.

Speaker 3 (24:45):
Yeah, Pete, what happened to your jaguars yesterday?

Speaker 6 (24:50):
They're not my jaguars. But that's one of the great
chokes in the history of football. I mean, my god,
you're up, You're up nineteen in the fourth quarter against
Davis Mills, and you can't hold that lead. I mean,
my god, it's a terrible, terrible loss. And they got
a lot of issues. They can't rush the passer. I mean,
they put a lot of money and assets into that
pass rush, They paid josh heinz Allen, they drafted Javon

(25:13):
Walker first overall, and they can't get to the quarterback
with four man pressure. And when they blitzed, they have
nobody in the back end who can cover her. So
it's a bad combination. And Trevor Larns isn't playing very
well and you've got major questions about him. Now you know,
does he process fast enough, does he get the ball out?
Does he hold the ball? It wasn't on him. He
didn't lose that game. When you're up nineteen to the
fourth quarter, you're supposed to win that game. So they

(25:35):
have issues, and that was a game. If you win that,
you're six and three and you're sitting there saying, okay,
they can win, you know, for the next seven games
and become a playoff team. Well now all of a
sudden you're looking at it and saying, well, probably not
because they're not very good.

Speaker 5 (25:49):
On that note, did you think that maybe they should
have at least attempted the field goal? I think it
would have been like a seventy five yarder or something.
But was there ever a thought on that drive? I
kind of didn't like how they had called that just
the entire thing, even like the was a scramble or
sacked that ended up Trevor Wanton, I've taken it, just
the whole thing down the stretch just seemed a little discombobulated.

Speaker 6 (26:11):
But did you think they should They would have had
a sixty yard field goal, Remember, but then they had
to play call back for a hands to the face.

Speaker 5 (26:18):
Right the play before that, where I was kind of thinking,
like they're trying to get too much on one of
those plays instead of trying to get like a quick
five ten yards and just kick the field goal like
that kid showed he's got the leg to do it.
He's made one from seventy before, granted preseason, but.

Speaker 6 (26:32):
Still, Brady, they were they couldn't. It would have been
like an eighty yarder. They weren't going to be able
to do that. I mean, if you know, look, he
scrambled to get what twenty something yards to get it
to play, and then he threw that shot to the
sideline and he caught it, and they got called back
for hands and face and then Ali had seven seconds left.

Speaker 5 (26:50):
Right we're saying they never play on that final play, though,
they should have went quick to the to the out
of bounds right, because you have seven seconds. It's either
going to be a hail mary from where they were
or quick out of bounds and then you set up
the field goal. And it feels like they did kind
of neither in that case. But that being said, the
fact that Houston kept playing Manda Man down the stretch
there and like they gave up obviously that run playing

(27:10):
like one robber. I'm sitting there going what are you doing?
I mean, it was almost a dramatic collapse by Houston.
If Jackson Will would have turn around to one that
base in their defense, I want to transition that game anyway,
because it wasn't great. Buffalo, What the hell happened to
your bills yesterday?

Speaker 4 (27:26):
Dang, you're je that wing your bills?

Speaker 6 (27:28):
Brisco, Well, that was that was a terrible defensive showing.
And if they don't stop the run any better than
they've been doing, it doesn't matter what they do on
offense or what they do anywhere else, because the teams
will just gash them. I mean, two hundred yards rushing
from Miami, it can't happen. And it's been an ongoing problem.
They give up the third most yards in the league
on the ground, and it's been it seems to have

(27:50):
been an issue for a long long time now. They
tried the trade for Quinn Williams. The Jets wouldn't trade
inside the division with them, so they clearly know they
have a problem there. And again no Brady week. We
saw a couple. We saw it last week with Green
Bay losing to Carolina after they beat the Steelers on
the road, and you guys played the game. Why is
it so damn hard to get up two weeks in

(28:10):
a row? Why is that a problem? I don't I
don't understand.

Speaker 5 (28:13):
That for the life of me, because the margins aren't
as big as you think. The margins between the best
and the next guy aren't as big as you and
everyone else on the outside thinks.

Speaker 6 (28:23):
I agree with you. I agree with you. You're not
that different.

Speaker 4 (28:26):
You don't know, Pete. You can handle the truth, Pete.

Speaker 6 (28:32):
I know the margins aren't that great. But why is
it that you can be what you are one week
and then what you're not the next week.

Speaker 3 (28:39):
That's why what you are no go play.

Speaker 5 (28:42):
I think the difference. We've talked about this before. The
difference to me has always been the floor of the
best is so much higher than the next guy. And
I think the problem is sometimes you get that next
guy playing at his best, and you get a guy
who's one of the best in the league playing at
his floor, and sometimes the lesser guy wins out. You know,
I think that's what you see sometimes. Like you, you

(29:04):
do this whole, you are what you are. The problem
is for most players, they're not as consistent as the
very best. And so that's what you see as you
see these outlier games where guys play up to their ability,
they just can't play up to that as consistently well
as some of the best players, if that makes sense.

Speaker 6 (29:20):
Yeah, but there's got to be more to it. I mean,
you can't allow that.

Speaker 1 (29:27):
Maybe it's retrograde or something like that that plays a
part and why guys are different from time to time.
Like it could be the gravitational pool. Some people may
be on their time, it could be you know, it
could just could be anything and everything that could be.

Speaker 6 (29:44):
Or you get anybody ever put that one out there.
Get just not as focused and you're lazy in a
game like that. You're not as focused as you are.
Nobody ever puts that one out there, well, that's the
reality of it. If and ultimately it falls at the
foot of the coach. If your team isn't ready to
play against a bad team and you lose that game,
that's on you. It's on the coach, and it's on
the players. It just doesn't make sense to me. You're

(30:06):
not supposed to lose those games. In Buffalo was exhibit A,
and Green Bay was exhibit B last week when they
lost it home to that crappy Carolina Toea.

Speaker 1 (30:13):
You know, Pete, I'm a bird watcher from time to time,
and every once in a while I'll see a woodpecker
like maybe you know, going after it and I'm like, man,
look at the way that woodpecker is pecking that wood,
and you know what, the results are good and and
and it's it looks good and the whole looks good,
and it's like, dang, that woodpecker is pecking that wood.

Speaker 4 (30:33):
Right then you see another one is like.

Speaker 1 (30:35):
That woodpecker is pecking, but that that wood isn't getting
pecked the way I saw that other wood pecker peck
in that wood. But they're both woodpeckers, Pete, And you
know what it was, because it was a different tree.
So maybe it's just the team that they're playing against,
like something was different about the team they were playing.

Speaker 6 (30:51):
Pete, I thought you were going.

Speaker 4 (30:53):
Is that still a woodpecker?

Speaker 6 (30:55):
How much would how much good would wood? Could a woodpecker?
Peck of a woodpecker? Wood? I mean, is that what
that was? What were you doing? Where were you going
with that?

Speaker 4 (31:02):
We just do that one, hey, we could have.

Speaker 1 (31:06):
But I'm just telling you, Pete, it just could be
as simple as it was a different team so you
got different results.

Speaker 4 (31:13):
It doesn't mean that it isn't the same player. They're
the same player. It's just that you were pecking on
a different tree, that's all.

Speaker 3 (31:20):
Hey, Pete, I'm curious.

Speaker 4 (31:22):
We thought that was pretty good.

Speaker 3 (31:24):
Guys, Pete, we were talking about this earlier. I'm curious
what your thoughts are on this. When you watch Aaron
Rodgers last night? What do you see?

Speaker 6 (31:37):
It? Ish jumpy old quarterback. That's what I saw. It
didn't look like him, And that, by the way, that
was the first game where he really looked like that.
He looked disjointed, he looked like he was sped up,
he looked like he was missing throws, he looked frustrated.

Speaker 5 (31:53):
Where his eyes coming down, Pete, Yes, I came down,
of course they did.

Speaker 6 (31:57):
You saw that one throw on the goal line where
he had he clearly chucked and ducked on the one throw.
I mean, yeah, his eyes came down. So it was
a fair performance. And it's weird. The Steelers was good
on offense for a while and then they were horrible
on defense. And now the defense started to play better,
and now he's starting to get worse on offense. Like

(32:17):
it's hard to figure that team out, it really is.

Speaker 5 (32:23):
I was gonna jump out and just ask you about
Jackson Dart fourth time. He's a bit evaluated for a concussion.
I mean, it feels like if he continues to play
this way, he's not gonna going to last for long.
Is that fair to say?

Speaker 6 (32:35):
From what you've seen, Absolutely, he's reckless. He can't be
reckless and play that position, and it's got to be
he's got to rein it in. And by the way,
breaking that one came into pocket, I mean, it wasn't
like he was running on that one. He got blasted
inside the pocket, but what he was doing was trying
to stay alive. And you know, you played the position
at some point you're just going down. You know, you

(32:57):
can't stay alive. You're not going to break every tackle.
They're grown, they're not You're not gonna get outside tackles
all the time. So it's time to go down. And
he took that late, that shot late in that whole process. So, yeah,
he's reckless and you can't play that way. It looks.
It's fun to watch, it's fun to scheme up stuck
with him to be able to run the ball, but
as you know, there's some nasty, violent people on the
other side of the ball that want to take your

(33:18):
head off. You have to be able to stand work
with one yeah, one yeah, right, he was one two
for sure, one two, three four and get the ball
out and then if you got to check it down,
you check it down. A checkdown is always better than
your quarterback getting outside the pocket and being reckless. So
I'm with you one hundred percent. He can't. He cannot
have sustainable success playing that position the way he's playing

(33:38):
it right now.

Speaker 4 (33:40):
What about Brisket Persette.

Speaker 1 (33:42):
You know everybody's trying to get rid of Kayla Maari
Murray uh for Brisket, what was your take on that?

Speaker 4 (33:49):
I mean, do you.

Speaker 1 (33:49):
Now reconsider bringing Kyla Mauri back over having brisket.

Speaker 4 (33:54):
Like, are we going out for a while? Are we
going turf?

Speaker 8 (33:57):
Like?

Speaker 4 (33:58):
What are we doing here?

Speaker 6 (33:59):
Well, they set he's out for a while. Now you
know the soft benching. They make it look like you're hurt.
That's that's what that was. And look, Jacoby Brissette, please,
you are what you are.

Speaker 3 (34:10):
Come on, he's a backup.

Speaker 6 (34:12):
But we serious? Are we serious?

Speaker 1 (34:14):
With the look?

Speaker 6 (34:15):
Kyler Murray is probably not the answer in Arizona. Either
have been very good, but we're not serious about Jacoby Brissett.
Or are we a nice backup? You come in, you do
some good things, and then all of a sudden it's
levels off, like it always does when you're a backup quarterback.
And so the reality is he's not the answer. But
they have a big decision to make on Kyler Murray.
I don't think there's any doubt about that.

Speaker 3 (34:35):
Who do you think is better Kyler Murray?

Speaker 4 (34:39):
Of course he is, but it doesn't sound like they
want him back.

Speaker 6 (34:43):
No, But who's who's making the who's that making the
noise that you? Brady? Okay, what do you think, Brady?
Who do you think is better? I?

Speaker 5 (34:53):
Mean again, I think Kyler Murray when healthy, adds a
different element that Brissette doesn't. But I do think Brissetta
is he's been able to kind of hold his own
from the pocket. But I think again, if you're devising
an offense for Kyler Murray when he's one hundred percent,
he's just got more dynamic ability to do more. But
I don't think the margin again, is as big as
people think it is.

Speaker 6 (35:12):
Yeah, he held his own in the pocket yesterday, but
turning it over for two touchdowns for DeMarcus Lawrence, you're using.

Speaker 5 (35:18):
A one game sample size. He he actually he actually
pewboy well hold on for a second in his career
because he qualified now for it. He actually had I think,
coming into this past week the best like interception percentage,
like what the lowest in the history of the NFL.

(35:40):
Did you even know that?

Speaker 6 (35:41):
Yes? Or no? You can. You can take all those
stats and twist them anywhere you want.

Speaker 5 (35:45):
There's noose stats in twisting it. He was he was
at one point three percent. Rogers was at like one
point four percent for his career. So I'm just saying, he.

Speaker 4 (35:56):
Use that information against you.

Speaker 6 (35:58):
Do your eyes tell you to go quarterback, yes or no.

Speaker 5 (36:01):
I think when he's got some help around him, Like,
does it matter right now who's that quarterback for them?
Do you feel like that's a good offense?

Speaker 6 (36:09):
No, I do not.

Speaker 5 (36:10):
Okay, well there you go.

Speaker 6 (36:12):
I do not, but I don't. I don't think he's
a good quarterback, and I don't think he's ever been
a quarterback.

Speaker 4 (36:16):
I think he's a back.

Speaker 5 (36:20):
I think the I think in the right situation and circumstance,
he's he's gonna be able to play it. He's gonna
be able to have, you know, a successful career without
a doubt.

Speaker 6 (36:28):
Let me ask you something. Do you know how many
teams he's been on.

Speaker 5 (36:31):
He's been a lot, but he's also been on and
viewed as a backup like you do.

Speaker 6 (36:34):
So, I mean he's a backup. He's a backup quarterback.
That's what he is. And look, he's a good backup.
It's nice to have a good backup. It's an okay job,
it's a great in fact, it's a great job. That's
what you are. You're a backup quarterback. Anybody w thinks,
Jacobe said, is a consistent starting quarterback in the NFL
is way off base.

Speaker 5 (36:52):
You said the same thing about Sam Darnold, you said
the same thing about others that have proven you wrong.

Speaker 2 (36:58):

messy leftovers today?

Speaker 7 (38:08):
This was probably the most shocking video I saw this weekend,
even with all the sports brandon Ingram threw a tantrum
on the sideline of the game.

Speaker 2 (38:15):
He was visibly fuming after raptors.

Speaker 7 (38:18):
Delayed the game, and he threw what looked like a
water bottle directly at the ground and it ricocheted so
hard that it hit an assistant smack dab in the
side of his head and hit all of his teammates
with the water and splash around him. And then he
sat there with his arms crossed while everyone cleaned up
his mess around him. Didn't see any apologies.

Speaker 3 (38:38):
Nothing. That's rude.

Speaker 4 (38:40):
That is rude.

Speaker 3 (38:42):
Clean up after yourself.

Speaker 2 (38:47):
What does he think he works here?

Speaker 7 (38:48):
Seriously, no remorse or nothing.

Speaker 4 (38:51):
Now that's even rude. Er, that's way more rude.

Speaker 3 (38:56):
You got to see it today, bar No, see it?
What else we got?

Speaker 6 (39:01):
Ray?

Speaker 3 (39:01):
Ray?

Speaker 7 (39:01):
Oh goodness. Colts owner Carly ear Say Gordon is making
headlines again, this time for bonding with her fans out
of well with fans of the Colts at a.

Speaker 2 (39:11):
Brewery in Berlin.

Speaker 7 (39:13):
She bought them all around of drinks for everyone, and
people online are loving it. The new standard that she's
setting for owners being more involved.

Speaker 4 (39:22):
The new standard, huh yeah, and that's what they're calling it.
People must not have been around.

Speaker 1 (39:26):
Then there's there's this guy by the name of Jerry Jones.

Speaker 4 (39:31):
He'll he'll get you drinks.

Speaker 7 (39:32):
He wants him some glory whole.
