(01:30):
let's go hell you Hey, Brady, the high speed chases
happen out in Ohio?
Speaker 2 (01:37):
Is that just a yeah, we just don't stop everything
we're doing to watch them, Okay, all right, So that
is the thing that's just more of a California thing that.
Speaker 1 (01:45):
They got to showcase it because of OJ. Basically, sure,
if that's how you want to do it. I just
think there's just a lot of people, hardworking people, you know,
bring your lunch pail type guys.
Speaker 2 (01:56):
You know, yeah, this one, dyes, this one was. It's
all working hard and they just like you know they're like, oh, you.
Speaker 1 (02:01):
Know, this one wasn't wasn't on the news, but I
saw one coming into work this morning even Yeah. No, yeah,
just just guys just didn't want to stop like they
were going to.
Speaker 2 (02:13):
Also think our police force maybe like stops them before
that really gets started. You know, it's not like quite
as many. They're not like oh sir, like please stop it.
They just you know, take care of business.
Speaker 3 (02:25):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (02:25):
Law enforcement is very different from the East Coast to
the West coast.
Speaker 5 (02:30):
Yeah, it's very different.
Speaker 4 (02:32):
Like and and this is no shade towards West Coast
law enforcement, but.
Speaker 3 (02:38):
You can say it, I mean, explain to people what
they don't realize.
Speaker 4 (02:42):
Law enforcement on on the East Coast, they're way more.
Speaker 5 (02:46):
Aggressive, not tolerant, not tolerant. I think they're very tolerant.
Speaker 4 (02:54):
Just like how like I hate to say this, but
just like how the people are passive aggressive and and
like on the West Coast, like LA has some of
the most passive aggressive people I've ever met in.
Speaker 5 (03:06):
My entire life.
Speaker 4 (03:07):
Like, it is amazing how how many people work to
get to where they want to be in terms of
what they're trying to communicate to somebody while going trying
to get there with the most passive way of saying
something or being aggressive with what it is that they
(03:29):
want to say. Like East Coast people just go straight
to it, like they just get straight to it.
Speaker 5 (03:34):
So you'll see, you'll see a high speed.
Speaker 4 (03:38):
Chase or two here and there, but it's not as frequent,
it's not like stuff like that as frequent as you
would would probably see on on like the West West Coast,
especially LA, like Scilate more in particular. Yeah, not not
just West Coast places, but but LA in particular. You're
(04:01):
going to see more, you know, more stuff, like more
outrageous stuff for some reason.
Speaker 5 (04:07):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (04:08):
Well, there's a high speed chase in Ohio, speaking of
which it's involving the two NFL teams, and it's say
high speed chase to see who can finish last this season,
because it's either going to be the Bengals or it's
going to be the Browns, and both had some noteworthy
quarterback updates from yesterday. So well, I mean, I don't
(04:32):
know why he would even entertain this at this point.
I don't know why he would even look at this
as a possibility. But the Bengals listed Joe Burrows a
full participant in practice on Wednesday. Joe Flacco was a
limited participant due to a right shoulder injury. Now, Joe
Flacco got all the or Joe Burrow got all the
reps with the first teamers, But Zach Taylor is, you know,
(04:55):
wishy washy about announcing whether or not he's going to
be the starter, at least as of right now. But
it does appear like Joe Burrow is on his way
back for the Bengals in what I look at as
a waste of time. Their season's over, the defense stinks,
and now he's got to go back there and he'll
go out and deal. But Joe Flacco was doing the
(05:16):
same thing and it didn't help them win games.
Speaker 2 (05:21):
Joe Flacco was, Yeah, Joe Flacka was playing on like
a ridiculous level.
Speaker 3 (05:26):
I mean it's not it does.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
I mean, Joe Burrow being backs awesome, But if you
look at it statistically, what Flacco was doing, he was
taking less sacks, throwing from more yards on average.
Speaker 3 (05:40):
And it still wasn't equity to wins.
Speaker 2 (05:43):
Their defense has to improve, it has to get better,
and that's that's a big time concern because it doesn't
matter if it's Joe Flacco, Joe Burrow, or your average
Joe like someone.
Speaker 3 (05:55):
They're always gonna be playing from behind.
Speaker 2 (05:57):
They're always gonna be one dimensional throwing the football, and
it's gonna be subjecting those dudes to getting rocked in
the pocket. So since that, it's got to figure out
a way of improving on the defensive side of the ball.
And this is spend a couple of years. Now you
can make that case. And that's why they got rid
of lou Ana Rumo, at least supposedly they got rid
(06:18):
of lou Ana Rumo where he wasn't the right fit.
They brought it out Golden And so I'm timpally a
little more patient about this. Al Goldon just got there
this season. But you look at Louisna Rumo with the Colts.
Their defense is playing five that one of the best
teams in the NFL. So I'm starting to looking and say,
all right, maybe it's more than the personnel. And I
(06:39):
we'll ask you as this talking to a coach, I
thought this was like an interesting comedy made. He goes,
you know what's kind of shifted in today's NFL. He
has no one ever really holds the players accountable.
Speaker 5 (06:55):
You know.
Speaker 2 (06:55):
You take, for example, the Keon Coleman situation of Buffalo,
he's gonna be a a healthy scratch for the second
week in a row because he's got to get back
in the good graces of his teammates. And most people
end up like siding with the player and not saying
like you know.
Speaker 3 (07:12):
That it's the team's fault.
Speaker 2 (07:16):
And the point that coach is making is like sometimes
like these players got to be accountable too, like they're
not doing their job either. And at some point, like
the media people, I was like, they need to realize that,
you know, there's only so much you can do as
a coach. If those guys go out there they're not
executing when there's a play to be made, they're not
making plays, Like that's not on us, Like we can
(07:36):
try to put them in the best position possible.
Speaker 3 (07:38):
They could be in the best position possible, and.
Speaker 2 (07:41):
If they don't execute or they're not figuring it out,
like what do you want us to do?
Speaker 3 (07:47):
So I do wonder if you look at, for example.
Speaker 2 (07:51):
The Bengal situation and that's not part of the story
because for the Brown it's different, like their defense is
playing incredible. It's keeping them in games. It's unfortunately been
the offense that's held them back, which you know, really
has to do a lot with the quarterback position. So
we'll see what Shador does this week. Hopefully he's got
a better opportunity with more time to prepare.
Speaker 4 (08:13):
Jason Wicklock, it's possible that they should cut Shador Sanders
if he doesn't play play well in this next game
or so. I don't that might be a strong it
might be, it might be a strong take, But I
just wonder. I just wonder quarterback. That's like, yeah, I
(08:38):
get it. What but like you said, it's the Browns, man,
you know, it's it is the Browns. They're not very
They're not very good. Hey man, they're not very good
in offense. They're rankings and ratings, they're they're abysmal and
pretty much every statistic. I think the one where they're
(09:01):
actually halfway decent is rushing.
Speaker 5 (09:04):
I believe. Let me go back to my notes.
Speaker 4 (09:07):
I believe rushing offense they are at when.
Speaker 3 (09:12):
You got this in a notebook or something, what do
you got over there?
Speaker 2 (09:14):
Far?
Speaker 4 (09:15):
You got Yeah, it's they're twenty six. Just just looking
at you know where they are and like passing rushing
like third down efficiency stuff like that, you know, and
and passing offense.
Speaker 5 (09:31):
They're ranked thirty first door sh door. I got it
from Fox Sports.
Speaker 3 (09:38):
Actually really use the website.
Speaker 5 (09:41):
Yeah I did.
Speaker 3 (09:42):
Oh, let's check that out.
Speaker 4 (09:44):
Yeah, go to Fox sports dot com.
Speaker 2 (09:47):
Anyway, last time I did, it was like a cumbersome experience,
so I.
Speaker 5 (09:50):
Was like, yeah, you're sorry.
Speaker 4 (09:53):
To be honest, you might still have you might have
better streamline moments with things like like this. I chose
Fox Sports for some reason.
Speaker 5 (10:02):
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (10:03):
Go figure, but shouts out the Fox Sports man. You
know some of us.
Speaker 3 (10:06):
All we have is uh hell hell yeah mya Ohio.
You know you getting that cover last night? Yeah yeah,
sorry an action action.
Speaker 5 (10:17):
They probably have a better passing offense than since that
they did.
Speaker 2 (10:21):
But guess who Guess who didn't for Buffalo And this
will be a blast from the past for you, LeVar.
Speaker 3 (10:28):
Remember the old name Taekwon Robertson.
Speaker 5 (10:31):
Yeah I do know that name.
Speaker 3 (10:33):
Yeah, well that would be your quarterback for Buffalo.
Speaker 2 (10:37):
Hmm yeah, former Penn stator, former former quarterback that LeVar
and I got to take in. Uh when he got
in as a backup who got knocked out? Was it
was it Clifford?
Speaker 1 (10:48):
It was against Iowa, Iowa. Yeah, I remember him.
Speaker 5 (10:53):
That was the last week I was.
Speaker 3 (10:54):
I was like holding LeVar.
Speaker 2 (10:56):
I was giving him hugs, like trying to like pick it,
like you pick up his spirits. That was one of
the That was a rough offensive performance that that second half.
Speaker 5 (11:05):
Yeah, we were going to win that game.
Speaker 3 (11:07):
Without a doubt.
Speaker 5 (11:07):
I felt I felt like that he couldn't even take
a snap. Yeah, that was bad. That didn't go well
for us. Well, maybe go less than you haven't.
Speaker 4 (11:16):
We've never seen a game, We've never been at a
Penn State game that they win when you're there.
Speaker 3 (11:23):
Let's see if that's true. Let me go through the
roll of dicks.
Speaker 5 (11:26):
With me being with you. I don't think i've.
Speaker 3 (11:30):
You and me together.
Speaker 2 (11:31):
It was one hundred percent rights just being at a
Penn State game in Ohio State.
Speaker 3 (11:37):
He might be right.
Speaker 2 (11:38):
I'm actually even going back through, but I even think
when I called Penn State Michigan State games, I'm like
that game probably had a three hour weather delay East Lansing.
I'm pretty sure if I'm correct, like Michigan State won
that game.
Speaker 5 (11:53):
Mhmm.
Speaker 1 (11:54):
Yeah, it wasn't that you and Joe Davis in the
room or something like that, like the Yeah.
Speaker 2 (12:02):
Well it was like a shelter in place, and we
were like, we're starving, so we just went down the
elevator and then walked over across to like the student
union and like we basically sat in this one corner
and people kept looking at us because.
Speaker 3 (12:18):
They're like, what are they doing?
Speaker 2 (12:20):
And then people eventually started coming over and they're like,
when's the game going to start again?
Speaker 3 (12:25):
We're like, buddy, if we're here, we have no idea.
Speaker 2 (12:28):
Like obviously it's not starting anytime soon, and we're like
probably lestanther hour or so, and it was a three
hour weather delay.
Speaker 4 (12:38):
Ortun also Cincinnati and Cleveland's offenses, Yeah damn. And it
hasn't there hasn't been canceled yet. They haven't resumed play yet.
Speaker 1 (12:49):
So I do you want to hear your guy or
Jason Whitlock's guy shardor Sanders talk about his upcoming NFL
first start in the NFL, which, congratulations to him and
he's got the awful Raiders. This Sunday here was Yesterdy.
Speaker 3 (13:03):
Yeah, he should ball out.
Speaker 6 (13:05):
My development, you know, is a player and everything and
mentally everything it has to speed up due to the situation.
Speaker 3 (13:12):
I did everything I need to.
Speaker 5 (13:14):
I'm doing everything I need.
Speaker 6 (13:15):
To to prepare to be a bed version of myself
as possible. With the circumstances, everything I be sped up,
and that's great. You know, I like pressure in life.
I'm just excited for everything. So I feel like I'm
the guy. I know I'm the guy, but you know,
you just have to be able to see the game.
Speaker 3 (13:30):
Gotta speak.
Speaker 1 (13:31):
Oh yeah, it's gonna point to his watch at least twice.
Speaker 5 (13:34):
Yeah, he is. I wish Lorena was on it right now.
Speaker 3 (13:36):
She's still waking up. Apparently I can only type so fast,
and there's promos before.
Speaker 1 (13:44):
But I'm so glad you're feeling good this morning, Brady.
Speaker 3 (13:47):
Yeah, Lorena, get on it. Play perfect. Turning my nose first.
Speaker 5 (13:52):
Oh see, I mean, yeah, they're playing the Raiders.
Speaker 3 (13:57):
He's gonna ball out.
Speaker 5 (13:58):
He's out.
Speaker 4 (14:00):
I mean they are playing the Raiders. I mean, what
time is it? Yeah, you're going to Vegas to what
the state shining? Yeah, you're going to Las Vegas to
what it changed the climate. You're going You're.
Speaker 5 (14:14):
Going there for what change the climate change? It?
Speaker 4 (14:18):
Well, everything can be changed when you play against the
Las Vegas Raiders.
Speaker 1 (14:23):
You know, I would say that would be the rare
occasion that the Raiders would have a home field advantage
based on who they're playing. But Browns fans actually travel,
Yeah they do. They actually really.
Speaker 2 (14:33):
If you don't think they're not going to be out
there in Vegas playing some slots getting absolutely loose, you're
out of your mind. She got dog represented, pounds to
be represented. Oh gosh, play it again, Play it again, Ranny,
come on, Oh yeah, dog pans will be out there
playing this song too. M Yeah, get a bar. Oh gosh,
(14:56):
Vari really loves this song. Yeah if they if he
balls out, let's find a song.
Speaker 3 (15:03):
You have to deal with this.
Speaker 1 (15:04):
Shodoor Sanders back to throw, Sanders rolling right fires, He's
got Webster Slaughter back of the Indstone touchdown?
Speaker 2 (15:12):
Is that Joe Jurevicius touch Dad swing past, Eric mccalf.
Speaker 1 (15:22):
Play action to Kevin Matt gonna go deep. It's Josh
Cribbs for the scar.
Speaker 5 (15:27):
Oh wow, not Dodgall Cribs.
Speaker 3 (15:30):
Cribs, No, man, he's the best special dude.
Speaker 5 (15:35):
Man.
Speaker 1 (15:36):
Yeah. And then the the other quarterback news of note
yesterday Michael Pennings junior. Uh done for the year. Uh
partially torn ac. I think I've seen they're gonna have
surgery on that, but it's it's the other knee. He did,
you know, the right knee twice in college and now
this is the left one. So uh, just not great
(15:56):
all the way around for Michael Pennings junior. This year
was supposed to be.
Speaker 5 (16:00):
Or the Falcons.
Speaker 4 (16:03):
You know, this is a team that needs to They
just need to figure some things out, man.
Speaker 5 (16:09):
I mean it's not I mean, they're third in the South.
Speaker 4 (16:14):
They don't look like a team that has definitive direction
with what they have going on. They need to figure
things out moving forward as a team, not just him
as a player and as a quarterback, not just them
at the quarterback's position. They need to figure it out
(16:34):
as a team because in theory, you're supposed to have
no drop off if not have a better option and
Kirk Cousins being your starter. And yet we find ourselves
talking about a team that really has I mean seriously underperformed.
(16:56):
I mean seriously, you are only one game better than
the New Orleans Saints one game and you're not even
anywhere near You're looking at the at the hill smoke
of the Panthers, the Panthers, Carolina Panthers.
Speaker 5 (17:16):
You're looking at.
Speaker 4 (17:17):
They rolling out right now, rolling out in position to
challenge for the divisional crown, and just it's improbable, which
to me is more that's even more of an indictment
on teams like the Falcons.
Speaker 3 (17:34):
Like the brown This is the crazy part, you know,
when you when you really.
Speaker 2 (17:39):
Look at this team, you know, this is a team
that I mean, they were three and two after coming
out of their by after they beat Buffalo, the three
and two and remember thinking about like they beat a
darn good Buffalo team, and then you start like kind
of combing through, you know, really the last three games.
(18:02):
They lose to New England by a point. Newland's a
damn good football team. They lose the Colts, who's a
good football team in overtime in Berlin, and they lose
the Panthers, just a six and five team now five
hundred going into it by a field goal. And by
the way, they were up eleven at half before they
lost Penix. So this team very well, you know, could
(18:23):
be six and four right now.
Speaker 3 (18:24):
Like if you look for the last three weeks, they
just cannot find a way to finish. Now they're gonna
be wrong.
Speaker 2 (18:30):
There's some head scratchers, like they're got blown out by Miami.
That was kind of like that was wow to kind
of go watch and see. Obviously didn't play well out
in San Francisco, but you know, they've their schedule would
have set up for them at New Orleans. That's still
a very winnable game for them. You know, you look
at at the New York Jets, they still have to
(18:52):
play at Arizona. They finished with the Saints to finish
the season, had they just flipped those last three games
that they're all sitting there within one point one score,
you know, a couple of times in overtime like that.
This is a season that you're gonna look back and
be like what if. You know, and a lot of
the NFL teams because a lot of these games come
(19:12):
down to one score games. It's only a handful of plays,
maybe less, in every game. That's gonna be how this
team feels. And I know the record looks like they're
so far away from being better than what they are,
but they really are a team that's like too talented
and way has been way too close to the last
few weeks.
Speaker 3 (19:30):
And it's unfortunate because usually what happens when you have
a bad season, they're gonna make some changes.
Speaker 2 (19:36):
I don't know what that means or who that's gonna be,
but that's typically how this works with NFL teams, unless
you know ownership is patient, and Arthur Blank has been
patient in the past. I just don't know how patient
he'll be with all the talent that's on this team.
After almost being a playoff team last year, being a
(19:56):
game away from it, and then this year now with
the way things work worked out for them, you know,
obviously not gonna be able to get anywhere close to that.
Speaker 1 (20:03):
I mean, Bijon Robinson is one of the best players
in the league.
Speaker 2 (20:07):
Drake London's phenomenal. D London's phenomenal. You know, Pitts and
Pitts has improved. You know, their defense is really good
against the pass, like right now, though right he just
went out in this pass game. He's been phenomenal this season.
And I don't think it'll be out for I thought
it was a hamstring, so I don't know how long
we will be out for. But but you look at
(20:27):
their pass defense, those young edge rushers they got too, Like, dude,
they've got some studs now, I this this team is
not that far away. Exavier Watts has been phenomenal for
them this season. Jalen Walker's a stud.
Speaker 3 (20:41):
You know your boy. Evocati has been coming on.
Speaker 2 (20:43):
I mean they're their front when they got everything rolling there,
when Leonard Floyd gets back to like they they got
James Pearce has been awesome, like they they've got guys,
and it's just it's unfortunately it's not worked out for
them this year.
Speaker 1 (20:56):
Yeah, it is unfortunate. Here's what is fortunate. The home
and the home depot. Maqita tools are built for the
pros who show up early with tools built to last
job after job, year after year. When the job calls
for the best call in Makita available at the home depot,
how pros get more done. It is two pros and

So.
Speaker 1 (25:02):
There was a report that came out a few days
back from Diana Rossini of The Athletic talking about some
frustrations that isn't just isolated to aj Brown with the
Philadelphia Eagles and the offense there, but maybe some other
players in the locker room as well too. This from
The Athletic, according to Rassini quote after doing some digging
(25:25):
and asking people inside the Eagles building, it was explained
that multiple offensive players have grown frustrated with Jalen Hurts's
approach this season, particularly against zone coverage. They believe he's
become hesitant in tight windows, leaning on checkdowns or scrambles
instead of trusting what's open downfield. Derek Gunn, who also
covers the Eagles, had something similar and went on to
(25:48):
say that players are frustrated because he stands back there,
does Jalen Hurts and sort of pats the ball and
there's opportunities and he doesn't want to pull the trigger
on this stuff. So, of course, Jalen Hurts was asked
about it by the media in Philly yesterday and it sounded.
Speaker 11 (26:04):
Like this, out of the responsibility when things are going
I guess I get a lot of attention when things
are going well and when things are not going so well,
and so I never run away from holding myself accountable.
And I think, I think that's exactly what I've I've
taken the approach of doing. You know, even when I
look at this last game and I take I take
a great pride in what we do on the offense.
Speaker 5 (26:26):
I take great pride and how we go.
Speaker 11 (26:28):
Out there and play as a team and and and
what our flow is. And so we obviously got work
to do. And I think that starts that, That obviously
starts with me. That's always my approach. That's always me
looking internally first in everything that we do, and then
in due time rising above.
Speaker 10 (26:45):
So thanks having been brought to you directly.
Speaker 11 (26:48):
I don't want to get into that. I know it
hasn't though, how about how about you personally, y'all bring
it to me. I mean, you know, I think it's
a bit of a different thing. You know, I don't
want to get into the weeds of any thing. Ultimately,
it was with the nature of it. You know, everybody's
going to have an opinion, and I give a lot
of respect to those things. Ultimately, you know, we're all
(27:08):
here to do the same thing, and so it's about
the pursuit of that, you know, And I've always encouraged
trying to work together to achieve that thing. For us,
we just got to be committed to the same thing.
Everybody's got to be on the same page, and we
have to you know, set a definite vision of what
things need to be what they are, and then we
(27:28):
pursue that and then we grow and expound on that
week after week.
Speaker 10 (27:32):
You know.
Speaker 11 (27:32):
It's it's been a it's been fluctuating in our approach
a bit where we found ways to win.
Speaker 5 (27:38):
And in hindsight, that's why you play the game. But
you have to play with a bit of a presence.
It's identity.
Speaker 1 (27:48):
There was Jalen Hurts responding to the report of teammates
being frustrated with them. Can I can I throw something
out here just the theory.
Speaker 3 (27:56):
Oh I might want to co sign this. We'll see, Okay.
Speaker 1 (28:00):
I don't think that players are as frustrated with the
winning and his safe approach to the quarterback position. I
just think maybe they don't like him that maybe it's
more of that because you are winning games. There's reports
(28:20):
and him kind of saying, nobody's come to me. I
have to hear this from you guys there. It feels
like there's more of a personal thing than there is
a performance thing agains because they're winning games and they've
just won a super Bowl and it's not like he
hasn't played well and they're the one seed and it's
(28:44):
like all of these things that are happening. Look, Bo
Nixon struggled. You see players coming out and defending him
publicly like he's string. The offense has looked abysmal at times,
but you see guys come out and defend him publicly.
Jalen Hurts just won a Super Bowl and you've got
people going to reporters in the in the affilly that
cover the team airing him out. They just don't like him.
Speaker 4 (29:08):
You forgot to add Super Bowl MVP as well, exactly
and actually outplayed Patrick Mahomes in the first Super Bowl
that they lost.
Speaker 1 (29:15):
This feels like a personal thing to me. That's my
two cents.
Speaker 2 (29:20):
I might co sign with that only because when I
watch it, like, are there times where there are windows
or there times where something might be there? Yeah, I mean,
I'm kind of coming through last week's game right now,
But honestly, you know, guys around then't need to do
a better job too. There's times you see drops, there's
times you see guys not getting open.
Speaker 3 (29:42):
And I also think everyone's.
Speaker 2 (29:44):
Got an opinion about you know what it what it's
like to play quarterback. You know what the quarterback's not
doing right, not doing well. It's why we have all
these air armshair quarterbacks. The reality isn't unless you've played
in that position and you've see from that perspective, it
becomes really, really hard.
Speaker 3 (30:05):
To ultimately know what is going on.
Speaker 2 (30:08):
And I always say that because it is such a
unique position, not only from the vantage point of leadership,
but from the vantage point of just how you even
see the game from the pocket. And it's one of
the reasons why I've always felt like, if you have
a quarterback coach that didn't play quarterback, You're gonna have
a hard time relating to the actual quarterback because there's
(30:30):
things that like, unless you're just a really good teacher
and you could be that understanding, you're not gonna understand
the things he's gonna say to you.
Speaker 3 (30:37):
So, I you know, could there be some issues with
just how people feel about him as a guy. Maybe.
I don't know, not in that locker room. I won't
say this to all your point.
Speaker 2 (30:49):
Like, this is a team that's a winning football team.
There might be the very old top overall seed when
it's all said and done the NFC. They just won
a super Bowl last year. They're also talking about the
Super Bowl VP. This is a city that likes to
make stuff up. I'm just I'm just saying like that,
this city likes made up drama. Rocky Rocky is one
(31:10):
of the greatest films ever. It's completely fictional, all right,
there's the stairs, the statue of the whole thing. I'm
just saying like that, like this, the whole city likes
to make stuff up. So I'm not surprised that there's
some sort of drama with a team that's arguably the
best in the NFC trying to win back to back
Super Bowls, and they're making a lot out of a
(31:30):
little because that's part of their identity.
Speaker 3 (31:34):
If you look at, for example, Rocky and people running
the stairs, but this is what Rocky did. No, it's
not he wasn't a real guy. He's that real. You're
just doing what the movie did you know?
Speaker 1 (31:47):
It's got a statue up there.
Speaker 5 (31:49):
Yeah, a lot of people outside of Philly like that
fictitious guy.
Speaker 4 (31:53):
I like it.
Speaker 5 (31:54):
I love it. I listened.
Speaker 2 (31:55):
I listened to the soundtrack all the time when I
work out, I do I swear to Yeah, it's one
of the best soundtracks to work out too, even just
the instrumental stuff.
Speaker 3 (32:05):
I mean that's like maybe one day a week, but
still once a week.
Speaker 5 (32:09):
I love it.
Speaker 2 (32:10):
I'm just saying, like again, it didn't happen in Cleveland,
it happened in la.
Speaker 3 (32:16):
It happened in Philly. He like drama, like makes that
stuff up.
Speaker 5 (32:22):
It is interesting. He has a statue.
Speaker 4 (32:25):
You know, when you listen to Jalen Hurts, he gives you.
He gives you Kobe Bryant type vibes. Yeah, you know
in the way that he speaks, and I would say,
the challenge you have when you have the type of
(32:47):
demeanor that Jalen Hurts has is that you're going to
you're going to create a standard by the things that
you say, because, quite frank it's very impressive the way
he speaks on matters, almost like a wise uncle or
(33:07):
a wise dad, or just just a person that has
has strong wisdom and they exercise, you know, a level
of restraint where you know, you generally aren't going to
hear a guy like Jalen Hurts say anything that he
has to pull back. You know, he's not going to
put himself in a position where he has to come
out and apologize because he's so well thought out in
(33:32):
the things that he says, and he actually executes the
things that he say he says pretty pretty well. So
I think that creates that creates something. A level of
success that Jalen Hurts has grown to could also generate
(33:53):
locker room jealousy.
Speaker 5 (33:55):
Those are all things that are possible.
Speaker 4 (33:57):
Maybe there's certain guys that feel a certain type of
way because they're not getting their shot at the fame.
They're not getting their shot, you know, maybe so much
towards the fortune of it all and it's based upon
how Jalen Hurts plays, and he has not played at
(34:19):
an elite quarterback level this season and at times during
his career it has come under scrutiny that he doesn't
always play at the highest level as a quarterback as
a franchise guy. But just like when Chris uh, what's
(34:39):
what's the defensive tackle for the Kansas City Chief Chris
Jonson right Zones.
Speaker 5 (34:45):
Chris Jones called him out for it during the game.
Speaker 4 (34:49):
He's standing there talking Transjo him about how poor his
performance was during the game, and Jalen Hurts basically politely
told him to shut that up. We won the game, right,
And I think that's his mentality. And everybody isn't going
to match a higher level of thought in that locker room.
(35:11):
And I'm not trying to call anybody a neanderthal, but
some of these guys are neanderthal. Like some of these
guys aren't exercising their minds on the type of level
that a Jaalent Hurts is. And when you have somebody
like that, and sometimes you might expect him to be
(35:35):
on the same page with you, but he isn't, and
for obvious reasons, because his idea of it is very
different most likely than those guys that expect him to
be like how they are, or handle things the way
that he handles them, or have a level of relatability
(35:57):
to it.
Speaker 5 (35:58):
And he holds himself to a different state.
Speaker 4 (36:00):
And so I know that doesn't justify poor play, but
it also but I do believe it justifies the thought
process of trying to understand some of the things that
you may see and witness and experience watching Jays play.
Speaker 3 (36:17):
Let me push back on the poor play aspect.
Speaker 5 (36:19):
Okay, go it.
Speaker 3 (36:20):
I don't think it's poor play.
Speaker 2 (36:23):
Like if you look at his numbers, he's not the
most prolific, but he does not turn the football, oh
throw one pick.
Speaker 3 (36:32):
Heay's sixteen touchdowns to one pick. Go back to last
year's eighteen to five.
Speaker 2 (36:37):
What's his yard throughout his entire career, Like maybe his
best statistical season it was twenty two to six.
Speaker 4 (36:44):
But some people may argue the fact that him not
throwing those those interceptions, or that interception figure being so
low is based upon the fact that he won't let
it go, he won't take it and won't try to put.
Speaker 2 (36:57):
It in the exactly, so there's that thought to it.
But I would still say this, he plays a winning
brand of football. And that season you're talking about, they
went fourteen and one in the games he started back
in twenty twenty two. So if people are saying that,
they're probably missing the greater point that, yeah, maybe he's
(37:19):
he's a bit more conservative.
Speaker 3 (37:21):
That's kind of been his place.
Speaker 2 (37:23):
But if you combine like his rushing yards as well
as his passing yards and you really like break that
down statistically speaking, he's as impactful as anyone.
Speaker 3 (37:34):
So I understand the frustration they can have.
Speaker 2 (37:36):
This is also a team that I'll continue to add
in his defense, they've gone through so many coordinators, Like
he's started now what six years, is that about, right?
Speaker 3 (37:48):
Or he's been there six years he started about five?
Speaker 2 (37:50):
Yeah, yeah, I mean they've had Kellen Moore, they've had
Shane Steich, and they've got Kevin Patulo this year, they've
got the quarter or the OC they just fired a
year before that before the Super Bowler. So what twenty
twenty three, which was arguably his worst year, not arguably
it was his worst year. He threw for the most
yards he's ever thrown for, but threw twice three times
(38:13):
as many picks. I mean, you start breaking it down
and it's like, well, all right, Like every single year
almost it feels like their offense has been a different
version of itself.
Speaker 3 (38:26):
And it's hard as a quarterback.
Speaker 2 (38:28):
To be able to consistently play at a high level
when you don't have the same guys there, like you know,
you look at Patrick Mahomes. Patrick Mahomes from the beginning
of his time with the Kansasy Chiefs to now is
a completely different quarterback.
Speaker 3 (38:41):
The way he plays. They're not throwing the big chunks
down the field.
Speaker 2 (38:44):
He's not taking all these chances to make these wild
plays and throws outside the pocket. Doesn't happen every once
in a while, sure, but no one's letting them do
that anymore. And they've had a different coordinators too, some
that have come back. Matt Neggey obviously has come back
to that team, but it looks entirely different watching that
team play.
Speaker 5 (39:03):
For what it was. What it is, I'll just say
super quickly.
Speaker 4 (39:07):
And the defense is playing very well, and why would
you take chances on making mistakes that your defense will
most likely give you more chances to try to put
points on the board. Nobody's talking crazy about Saquon. Saquon's
not He's what half the production to what he was
(39:28):
at last year. Nobody's talking crazy about Saquon. So to me,
when you look at it, it's a defensive lad team
bottom line. And whether people want to like that or
accept it or like it, you know, Jalen Hurts accepts
it and Jalen Hurts embraces it, and I think that's
why he handles things the way that he does. Don't
be a liability, be an asset to your team.

Speaker 2 (41:31):
That doesn't help people who have like tickets right and
sell them and stuff like that throughout the course not.
Speaker 1 (41:36):
I wouldn't. I wouldn't know, but I would assume you
would not.
Speaker 3 (41:39):
No, maybe you know someone or something.
Speaker 5 (41:42):
I have no idea.
Speaker 1 (41:43):
There's a lot of people out there on those stub
hub streets, you know, not sure how that works, but
you know, nothing wrong with that.
Speaker 4 (41:52):
I'm not giving Jonas a big, a large, super large
network of people to call on.
Speaker 5 (41:57):
Stuff like that. Just taking a stab at it.
Speaker 1 (42:00):
What do you mean nothing blood white spedding me blood.
Speaker 4 (42:07):
I'm just saying because vampires, they live a very solitary life.
Speaker 5 (42:11):
More often than that.
Speaker 4 (42:12):
I feel like Twilight gave a painted a different picture,
like living like a family and stuff like that, like
it's it's not
