George Pickens, who's the guy getting all the heat for
his performance last night in Detroit. We're also going to
have a conversation about somebody else who's getting the heat,

(00:20):
and that's somebody is JJ McCarthy. What exactly is the
plan for him? In Minnesota. We are going to have
another edition of Quinn's Wins. This time it's the Conference
Championship weekend edition. We've also got an appeal to be
heard because I feel like I've got a gripe and
find out whether or not my fine will stay and
if there's been more added on to a plus, we're

(00:41):
going to have our picks against the spread we've got
in case you missed it, and we've got the leftovers.

Begin just search two pros FSR and subscribe. And we
are having technical difficulties with LeVar Arrington and Brady Quinn.
Don't think that I don't know that there's a common
denominator here. And it happens to be that both of

(02:29):
them defecated down the side of their leg during our
picks last week in the NFL. They know that it's
come to Jesus' time here on this football Friday. They
know that's going down later on in the show, and
so they're going to have to answer for it. But
you know, it's great about things that you've seen in
the past. If you've seen it in the past one time,

(02:52):
eh whatever. Listen, you know, everybody has an off day,
everybody has an off game. Everybody has some sort of
an issue that pops up now, problem whatsoever. And then
all of a sudden, Brady Quinn, you see George Pickens
have a game like that last night, and you go, yep.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
He still got it.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
There's still the threat, there's still the possibility that George
Pickens could have a moment or a couple of moments
in a couple of games from last night like he
did that he's had in the past, and now the
whole conversation about we're going to have him long term
and he's going to be around here long term, We're
going to build around this guy now seems like a
let's just wait and see, because he's shown the ability

(03:33):
to have games like that in moments to where you're like,
we just don't know if we can trust this guy
moving forward.

Speaker 5 (03:40):
It's one of the reasons why he's super talented, but
you just can't rely on him. And that's the reality,
and it kind of questioned last year, like there's games,
there's plays where you're like, does he love football?

Speaker 6 (03:52):
Does he really like doing this?

Speaker 5 (03:54):
You have questions about that and even you know, sometimes
just seeing his I don't know if it's a lack
of awareness, lack of efforts. He's super talented, but you
can't say he's the best player on that team by
any way, shape or forum, where there's just too much

(04:15):
of an inconsistency, inconsistency in his effort. Yeah, and what
he does when he goes out there.

Speaker 1 (04:20):
And I think there's been this notion that when the
Steelers really butcher that one boy, they couldn't make that
work with George Pickens. And it's like, all right, whose
track record do you trust the most when it comes
to knowing when to turn the page on a wide
receiver or turn the page the Pittsburgh Steelers or George
Pickens in the spot. And Pittsburgh has done this over

(04:43):
and over and over again.

Speaker 2 (04:45):
And it's not to say because there was a report that.

Speaker 1 (04:47):
Came out on ESPN it was Todd Archer and Jeremy
Fowlery yesterday who said that they've had to punish him
multiple times the Dallas Cowboys have for little infractions, for
little things that have popped up late to the team bus,
late to meetings. There was the story that him and
CD Lamb were out when they were playing in Vegas

(05:07):
on Monday night against the Raiders, that him and CD
Lamb were out at Red Rocks Casino or whatever the
hell the place is called, and that CD Lamb was
throwing up in a trash can outside the building at
seven point thirty in the morning. They're just stuff like
that that pops up and it always has with him
to where he had that fight to end the game
against the Browns last year. Randomly when he was with Pittsburgh,

(05:30):
they're just throwing down right next to the fans in
the back of the end zone. It's like this whole
notion that because Dallas went on a little bit of
a heater and he showed his skill set that all
of a sudden, well, we're just going to forget about
all that stuff. And it's on the Steelers who screwed
that up and didn't make it work. No, Like, I
think they knew what they were doing, because they knew
this was always going to be a possibility, so they

(05:50):
just trusted and went with DK Metcalf and said we'll
roll the dice with that.

Speaker 5 (05:54):
I think the worst part, too, is a lot of
these instances where you see him getting in trouble. He's
with Ceedee Lamb. You know, it seems to me he's
like one of those guys where maybe he's bringing something
down with them, which is terrible for this team and
what it could be. So if there's one thing Jerry's
done a good job of, he's never going to turn

(06:17):
away guys who are talented. That being said, he's also
never really won to worry about or be concerned about
the culture that he has in his locker room or
what he builds amongst the players.

Speaker 6 (06:33):
In that locker room.

Speaker 5 (06:34):
I mean, you think about when they had their glory days,
their most success I mean, the stuff that was going
on during that period of time, the White.

Speaker 6 (06:44):
House everything else.

Speaker 5 (06:45):
Oh god, well, that's arguably one of the greatest errors,
if not the greatest, of Dallas Cowboys football. So when
you take into consideration that was going on back then
and they still there's elements that Jerry's probably like, yeah,
you know, talent's gonna you know, outweigh whatever other you know, whatever,

(07:09):
the things that come along with that, Like eventually talent
will win will win football games because of it. I
don't know, I think you're gonna have both. Like I
don't ever hear as many issues within Detroit Lyons with
those players quite as much. It seems like Dan Campbell's
got a much better idea of, you know, what his
players are doing.

Speaker 6 (07:27):
I just I don't know.

Speaker 5 (07:29):
I think this is also important because look, Jerry's never again,
He's never gonna turn away guys who are talented, but
there's also been cases where those guys have impacted or
affected that locker room and how the Dallas Cowboys are playing.

Speaker 3 (07:41):
On the field of times.

Speaker 1 (07:43):
Dak Prescott, quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys, a guy who
gets a lot of the heat and has gotten a
lot of the heat over the past several years there
in Dallas, spoke about the disappointing performance by George Pickens
last night.

Speaker 7 (07:54):
When you're the typle player that he is, I'll be
the first to say it's hard to do that weekend
and we out, But I think George can. I know
George believes he can, and I think he would just
say that this game wasn't up to a standard, and
I'm sure he'll loan it and I know he'll be better.

Speaker 1 (08:09):
Last night was one of the first times I've seen,
especially this year, Dak Prescott really get on guys like
Jake Ferguson's fumble.

Speaker 3 (08:17):
He was getting on him.

Speaker 2 (08:19):
George Pickens. You could tell him.

Speaker 1 (08:21):
Visibly frustrated, which he never does that, visibly frustrated about
the route that he ran. That result, I think we
might have been a third down late, But you know, Kirk.

Speaker 6 (08:30):
Kurbstreet DJ Reid knocked away.

Speaker 1 (08:32):
Kirk Kurbstreet took time away from calling Brian Schottenheimer shaddy
for fifteen hundred times last night during the broadcast to
point that out. It did, like I look at Dak
Prescott and they go say whatever you want about that guy.
He is the calming, stabilizing presence in the circus, Like
he's the guy inside the circus tent there in Dallas
and has been for a decade now that at least

(08:54):
she could depend on him, Like, whatever you want to
say about it, he's not a big game quarterback and
all the criticisms that have come along with him. That
guy's earned his money having to deal with the cast
of characters and the owner that he deals with over
the past ten years.

Speaker 6 (09:09):
He's their MVP, he's their best player.

Speaker 5 (09:12):
He's kept that thing afloat and kept them competitive and
to your point, like he has taken a lot of
flak for people on the outside. Who I mean again,
and he probably knows even deeper how many of these
issues there are actually going on behind the scenes. So
a credit to him for his level of play and
having to deal with all the stuff he's had to

(09:32):
deal with throughout the course of his career, because it's
just it feels like it's always something with the Dallas Cowboys,
and in this case, it's going to ultimately impact their
ability to be a playoff team.

Speaker 6 (09:44):
And I think, you know, over the past few weeks,
like they're good enough.

Speaker 5 (09:47):
The defense has made the strides they've needed to offensively speaking, though,
it's just you've got to have someone outside of Ceedee
Lamb you can rely on, and I don't know.

Speaker 6 (09:58):
That George Pickens is that guy.

Speaker 5 (10:00):
And it's unfortunate because again he's super, super super talented.

Speaker 3 (10:04):
Yeah, no doubt.

Speaker 1 (10:07):
Speaking of talented, the Detroit Lions are loaded, and sometimes
I forget watching them because it's been kind of an
up and down year for them a little bit. Sometimes
I forget watching them. How talented that team is, Like
for all the talk with the Dan Campbell gets and
he deserves all the credit he gets for Ben Johnson,
all the love he got for Detroit is loaded with dudes,

(10:33):
whether it's Jamier Gibbs, what like just Ama Ross, Saint
Brown on a bum ankle, Willie Like you look up
and down that lineup and it's hard to find other
places in the league that have as much talent like
blue chip guys like the Detroit Lions do.

Speaker 2 (10:48):
And Jamier Gibbs put on a show last night that
was fun.

Speaker 3 (10:51):
They built it the right way up sticks. It's all
I can say. It's all I could give you. But
I'll tell you what. Pickens did have his opportunity. Lamb
went down. He had his opportunity, and it just you know,
but they did put up offensive they did put up

(11:14):
some some points last night. It just I don't know, man,
they sliced and diced their defense up. I mean, I
don't know. It's it's interesting because Dak is playing some
some really good football, like really good football. I mean,
but you know, he's under duress. He I mean, he

(11:34):
was under so much pressure, like they were pressure in
the hell out of him. And and to me, I
feel like for for Dallas, and I know, I know
Williams ran for you know, Javonte got to sixty seven
yards rushing. But I just don't think that they have
a balanced attack. I really don't. And you're right outside,

(11:58):
I feel like Pickens. Pickens has been playing better in
my estimation, better than Cedee Lamb. But I think the
reason why Pickens plays so well, and you were able
to see it is because of Ceedee Lamb being out there,
and so when he left the game, you know, it

(12:19):
was his opportunity for it to be his show and
his show alone, and it wasn't. It wasn't what took place.
But I don't know, man, you know, Dallas, I just
are they snake bitten? Like I feel like there's a
couple of teams, like I always say Washington is a
snake bitten team for some strange reason, there are certain

(12:40):
teams they're just snake bitten teams. I just wonder it's
Dallas a snake bitten team because they had what they
needed from their quarterback in terms of the way he performed.
I mean, he got sacked a lot. But I don't know.
I don't think their defense played well enough. I think
the offense did what it needed to do. They score points.

(13:02):
I mean, they got it what, they got it down
to eight point game at one point in time. It
just they couldn't stop. They couldn't stop Detroit from answering.

Speaker 1 (13:11):
It's almost like Dan Campbell saw Maddie Refluse across the
field and was like, I remember him, Oh, it'll be
easy work. Oh I remember him. I remember that guy.
He was here for a while, we saw him a while. Yeah,
we'll be all right here, we'll be okay.

Speaker 3 (13:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (13:25):
And they just couldn't get a stop, couldn't get a
stop at all. But here's the one thing I do
know that it's a football.

Speaker 8 (13:34):
Friday, and Friday, and I slept.

Speaker 3 (13:49):
I slept in. I slept in, I slept in. Come on,
I slept in. I don't know how it happens, happened,
but it happens. But it happened, but it happens. I
will sleep well, sleep Street, I will sleep. Let's be sleep.
Let's be sleep. Let's be sleep. Let's be sleep.

Speaker 6 (14:07):
Yeah, shut you again.

Speaker 3 (14:09):
Shot. Friday night is a football Friday. Come on, stay
football Friday. Rock them, suck them out it frime.

Speaker 2 (14:21):
You can feel it. It is a football Friday.

the age of twenty four in NFL history.

Speaker 3 (17:12):
He goes one of them stats. Tell you, man, you
can make a record for anything nowadays.

Speaker 2 (17:18):
You're not impressed by that. You're not impressed by Jamiir Gibbs.

Speaker 3 (17:22):
No, Jamiir Gibbs is very impressive. He is very impressive.
I mean he I got another special back.

Speaker 1 (17:27):
I got another staff for you if you want it
all right here at Detroit the Detroit status. The Detroit
Lions have won fifteen straight games following a loss, tied
for the longest street and a streaking any far.

Speaker 6 (17:44):
How's that stabs?

Speaker 3 (17:45):
Nothing wrong with pipe and smoke it? Oh wow.

Speaker 2 (17:48):
By the way, Jamiir Gibbs went to Alabama.

Speaker 3 (17:52):
Yeah, and uh, Georgia. But yeah, what a what an
amazing segue.

Speaker 1 (17:58):
Well, I mean it's appropriate considering Alabama has got a
head coach in Kaylen de Bor. There's been some whispers
out there, some rumblings that maybe maybe he's the guy
that Penn State is after. And so Kaylen de Bor
spoke yesterday to the media about how he feels about
Tuscaloosa and if there's any interest that he has potentially

(18:21):
in Penn State.

Speaker 10 (18:23):
We are extremely happy at Alabama, love the challenge, love
the grind, love this place. And there's never been any link.
There's never been any conversation, there's never been any interest
either way, and so I'm glad we can put that
to bed right now.

Speaker 2 (18:38):
So the two to Pat Craft swing in a Miss.

Speaker 3 (18:43):
Gohique. You're experts.

Speaker 5 (18:45):
I mean, at this point, I don't know that Penn
State is going to have another option other than Terry Smith.
I think Brian Dables still out there, so he's a
candidate obviously, But of all the name sames we threw
out there, it seems like everyone either went somewhere else,
signed then extension or you know, they're not looking to

(19:08):
hire John Gruden, I guess, but I would I would
say this, this could not have gone how Penn State
had thought it, and I think if they are being
honest with themselves, they might have miscalculated the decision in general,
especially based on how the team played down the stretch,

(19:28):
because I thought they did start to play some better
football and the schedule got easier too, like there were
going to be wins for them at the end of
the season, you know, from that standpoint, and who knows.
I mean, there were three and three when they fired
James Franklin. You know it's nine and three gonna be
good enough to get in. No, but it's not a
bad season. And you know, you might say, I don't
know that they would have, you know, won the last six.

(19:49):
But again, I think James Franklin's a good football coach.
And the way this is all gone if the entire
reason that James Franklin was fired was because he couldn't
get over the hump of winning some of those big
games and they thought they'd get a jump on that.
Whoever that next head coach is, you'd be lying if

(20:11):
you said this thing hasn't failed miserably because I don't
know that they've gotten their first, second, third, four, fifth,
sixth choice step being said, it doesn't mean that they're
not gonna get a good coach or it's not gonna
work out. We see that sometimes how it happens. Pete
Carroll at SC for example, was an example of that.
But this is just this couldn't have gone how Penstead

(20:34):
has had.

Speaker 3 (20:35):
Hoped maybe for some which is a said, it's said
commentary to think that some people work very diligently for
their own agendas to sabotage and do things that are
you know, not positive and not productive to our state

(21:00):
community and in particular to our Penn State football team.
It hasn't gone the way that that it was intended
to go. I mean, I think that's pretty clear. It's
pretty obvious, and it's it's gotten a little bit uglier,
you know, well maybe even a lot uglier, maybe a
whole bunch uglier as of as of late in terms

(21:24):
of how things are being looked at, how things are
you know, being being released, certain information that shouldn't have
been released, and certain things that are going on that
are taking place. It's a it's a shorting of the stock,
so to speak. And there are certain people that are

(21:45):
actually in prominent positions at the school and and you know,
and their their prominent names in the school's history that
that are taking the light and having the opportunity and
the ability to look at our program be where it's

(22:06):
at so that what you can swoop in and save
the day the way you want to save the day,
so that you can restore things that were, you know,
in your estimation, unjustly unfairly lost due to circumstances. That's
that's you know, there's a lot of politicking. There's a

(22:27):
lot of things going on behind the scenes that what
are you talking about? Yeah, I don't know, I know
what I'm talking about.

Speaker 6 (22:34):
I mean, if I if I throw out paterno.

Speaker 3 (22:39):
Oh, go ahead, throw out paternal gut. Well that's you're
throwing it out there. Well of course it's the name.
But but go ahead, gohead go. I'm gonna guess jay,
I mean, go ahead, keep going. What else would you
be going?

Speaker 5 (22:54):
Okay, I you know, there's there's obviously a tough relationship
there based on how things have gone, you know, since
everything that was exposed to what fifteen years ago?

Speaker 3 (23:06):
What have you yeah, long time, and the.

Speaker 5 (23:08):
Relationship has had it with the family has been kind
of interesting, and I think they're obviously Joe Pitturna had
the greatest run of any coach of Penn State, and
you know, sometimes that tends to be forgotten.

Speaker 6 (23:19):
So some people like to turn back the page and
look at that.

Speaker 3 (23:23):
Yeah, I mean, uh, when when your only campaign is
to do that Q is to try and and clear
your your dad's name and his legacy, and that's like
become your lifelong journey, and you bring people along with that,
you create a lot of dissension. He could have been

(23:45):
somebody that was some a force that that was for good.
But you know, he's not like even that song you
guys sent me yesterday, like that guy that's connected to
that post. He's he's an antagonist. He's an antagonist, and
he's been working to clear Joe's name for years and

(24:06):
now he's taken on the duty and the responsibility of
trying to clear Jerry Sandusky's name in all of this.
So again, it's a large conversation. Yes, it's a super
large conversation, and in a lot of ways, for me,
it's an embarrassing conversation because what happened happened, and when

(24:30):
you look at what morals are supposed to be a
part of how people conduct themselves and live their lives
and how things are handled. To think that you, for
this long have been a thorn in the side of
a community that your dad was a major, major part

(24:52):
of building the culture and foundational pieces that you know,
may penn state what it is. It's a joke. It's
a joke. And to act as though what happened didn't happen,
or that there's no culpability whatsoever that should have been
on Joe's name based upon what took place is its

(25:15):
poor commentary and the things that have been done and said.
It's almost as like, are you trying to erase what
took place? Are you trying to remove your dad's name
from what took place? It happened during his watch, and
that's the reality of it. And it should have been

(25:36):
dead and gone. This program should have been able and
allowed to move on. But because of the type of
community that it is, in him being a part of
the school board and him having you know, one particular
person in you know Lebrono, Anthony Lebrono, being connected to him,
and being a money gud. They've they've been on their

(25:58):
crusade to to clear Joe and to me, the way
they've been able to do it is methodically doing things
that undermine what goes on with leadership after school, and
it has led to this, It has led to it
being a hard coaching staff or coaching coaching search because

(26:20):
he's basically basically things have been leaked out, have been
put out there that have been damaging to what it
is that is taking place with the coaching search, and
it's just led to decisions. I know, it sounds like
I'm and that's why I haven't wanted to talk about it,
because it sounds like I'm just I'm speaking on things

(26:41):
that the listening audience isn't privy to and maybe you
got I mean, you guys probably don't know either.

Speaker 1 (26:49):
But well, it's pertinent to the story because nobody can
figure out what's going on because clearly this wasn't the plan.
Like the latest report from ESPN says that now Matt
Campbell's going to be the guy that they are going
to try and pursue from Iowa State.

Speaker 3 (27:02):
Who's which.

Speaker 5 (27:04):
Great I'll just I'll just I'll give you my two
cents of what I've experienced and then some of what
I've heard. Someone described the situation as messy, and I
asked them to elaborate, and they went as far as
to mention that there is not everyone's not on the
same page. There is some forces kind of working against

(27:25):
each other. There's not a unified front. That's correct, and
that oftentimes happens when you don't get the first candidate.
Kurt Signetti was the first target. They thought they could
get him. Didn't work out. Signetti stays, and now it
turns to you know, maybe Matt Rule or whoever else
you want to throw into the conversation after that, and

(27:46):
the hard part becomes the familiarity for Rule with the
entire place, and situation may have been such that he said,
I know there's forces working against the administration, like you
had just discuss, Like I know that place too well,
to the point where it's not as clear and simple

(28:06):
of a decision. You know, it's gonna be harder than
I think to build that thing back up because there's
some people who might be working against me.

Speaker 6 (28:14):
Yeah, So he passes.

Speaker 5 (28:16):
And there's some others that have said I'd rather go
elsewhere yes, so I do know from I don't know.

Speaker 6 (28:24):
And that's and here's the thing is, I know you're who.

Speaker 3 (28:26):
Wants to walk into that, like what coaches want to
walk into a situation where you know, the undermining of
what's taking place is from one of the most powerful
names in the history of the school. And and and
and that's the conclusion.

Speaker 5 (28:43):
Why would I call and look and look at the difference,
Look at the difference, for example, between PennState and LSU, right,
both state schools, and the difference, I'd sit there and says,
as much as you want to say, well, the governor
is getting involved in Louisiana and this looks like it
could be messy, I don't know. It looks like the
whole entire state's pretty unified and try to figure this
out and trying to find the guy that they believe

(29:04):
is going to Now whether Lane Kiffin is the guy
or not kind of just doesn't matter. Like they got
the guy that that was on their list. I mean
the entire state, the entire university, every alum, every donor,
They're all unified and trying to figure that out. And
this is a this is a school that and program
that's won multiple national championships as the start of a new millennium.

(29:26):
So you know, there's one contrasting example. And so so
the word I heard was kind of messy. And then
to your point of what's happened is there are times
where you get people who try to preserve the legacy.

Speaker 6 (29:39):
That was left behind.

Speaker 5 (29:41):
And who's is it?

Speaker 9 (29:45):
Is?

Speaker 6 (29:45):
It? Is it uh Dickerson?

Speaker 5 (29:48):
Or who who's the running by the Hall of Fame
running back that doesn't want any of his records to
be broken?

Speaker 6 (29:53):
It's uh is there?

Speaker 5 (29:55):
It's it's kind of like there's people who feel that way,
whether like I don't want anyone to I'm in here
and be better than what I was or what my
dad was, and and they want that because that's part of.

Speaker 6 (30:06):
Their legacy, right or that is their legacy.

Speaker 3 (30:10):
You know, there's people who it's almost if we're if
we're too good, if we win a national title, if
we if we do well, then it's like you can
actually definitively put put that issue to bed. As long
as we teeter on the edge of being an elite
program and don't cross over into being one, you can

(30:35):
still have the conversation and some way, somehow it's still
relevant and and so to me, it's it's strange, man,
It's it's really really strange that someone would actually be
so dedicated to creating so much confusion and being an

(30:56):
issue to the to the community for this long over
what took place, and continue to make it an issue
that people have to relive within our community. It sucks,
it doesn't feel right. I don't subscribe to it. But
to tie it all together, the reason why it becomes

(31:19):
even more relevant to the scenario is that Terry Smith
has done an amazing job of supporting our program, of
supporting the young men that were left to try to
figure this thing out without James Franklin being the coach,

(31:39):
and he should have a legitimate opportunity to be the
head coach, the next head coach of Penn State. But
the way things have happened behind the scenes, and knowing
what it is that like what a j. Paterno is doing,
and being a part of the board of trustees and
having a voice and doing things and having access to

(32:03):
hearing certain things that are are pieces of information that
could be hurtful to what we're doing in our cause
and our purpose. It comes back to the idea of
Now you have a head coach who I don't know
if you guys saw that he wore the four oh nine,
the Joe four oh nine on his jacket during the games,

(32:24):
and then the whole campaign of making him the head
coach and the reasoning behind them going the direction they
went in was based around Joe. Now there's a lot
of there's a lot of respect that should be given
to what Joe has accomplished and what he represents. And
there's no doubt about it. You know, a lot of

(32:46):
guys have come out and said it. You know, Oj
McDuffie was the first one to come out and start
saying what it represents, our values and all those different things,
and he's right. You know, a lot of other you know,
players have been upset and said that it should be
Terry and and you know what, maybe they're right. But
I think what happened here is once again, we have

(33:07):
become such a community that is rooted in reactionary situations,
like we've been forced to have to react to things
that have happened, and so that's how we are. We
rally to one another. We're going to rally around Terry
because Terry's one of us he played for Penn State.

(33:29):
He's one of us, so people are going to rally
around him. And now it takes on if you, if
you're smart and you're you're pushing your agenda, you're gonna
sprinkle and you're gonna feed, and you're gonna see this
situation once again, not about the situation being for Terry
Smith to get the head coaching job, but your all

(33:49):
terror motive of using Terry Smith to push the agenda
forward of what you really wanted to get done, which
is you're trying to clear Joe's name.

Speaker 1 (33:58):
You know what I think about now that I didn't
realize at the time what he was actually saying, now
that all of this stuff is start to come out.
Matt Ruhle's statement when he was first asked about the opening,
and he was, you know, love Penn State, loved the program,
met my wife there, have so much respect for Pat Craft.

(34:20):
It was almost like, listen, I love everything about it.
I love pet but but there's other issues. It was
almost like he was he was telling you that the
issue and he was telling you and at that moment, listen,
it has nothing to do with that place and the
guy who's who's making the higher and all. He was
almost like he was letting people know without letting him

(34:41):
know there's a problem there. And the fact that he
said no and stayed at Nebraska I think probably should
have been a sign that there was that there was
other stuff going on at the moment.

Speaker 3 (34:53):
And and that's you know, for me, I don't I
don't like I know what's going on with the process.
I know what's taking place. I've chose to stay away
from the conversation. I've I've chose to not disclose because
it is a lot of it is privy information, so
I can't just jump on the radio and talk about it.

(35:14):
And that's a dilemma for me being a radio host.
I get it, but it's just not what I can do.
I just know this. It ultimately comes back to this
one singular agenda. There are money people tied to the
Paterno name and J Paterno is it has been trying
to manipulate him and his little his crony Lobrono, have

(35:39):
been constantly through the years. This is not a now problem.
That's the thing that maybe people that don't pay attention
to Penn State every day are not aware of. This
is not a now problem because we had a botched
coaching search. That's not This has been a problem ongoing
ever since his statf you has been removed, ever since

(36:02):
the way he's spoken of has been tarnished. It's been
a thing because his family is such the paternal family
is such a prominent figure in the history of the school.
And that's why it is like Jay Paterno was at
the you know, basically at the center of politicking to

(36:24):
get James Franklin out in the first place. He didn't
want James Franklin there. So it's like nothing is going
to be I often wonder what is it exactly does
he want to happen so he can leave us alone,
Like I just wish Jay Paterno and Lebrono could go

(36:45):
somewhere and never come back to the Penn State community.
Like for good or for bad. We have to find
a new head coach. And to think that you would
be okay shortening the stock of our credibility, of the
stability of what it could be to come work, the
prestige that could be connected that your dad helped build,

(37:08):
that you would actually be at the precipice of being
the reason why we're being talked about the way we're
being talked about, and things are falling apart. The way
that they're falling apart, it's it's crazy. Like if you
go back, you could see little things like if you
go look at the Ohio State game, look at what
sideline he's on. If you go back to the Oregon game,

(37:30):
look look at where Jay was during the game. You're
in Phil Knight's box at the Penn State game. We
just went to Adidas. You know, you're you're in support
with Oregon in the white Out game and you're a Paterno.
You know, the Ohio State game, you're on Ohio State

(37:51):
sideline with shoes that are replica shoes of Joe Paterno's shoes.
You have your pants cuffed like your dad on Ohio
State sideline. If you look at the little things, the posturing,
the agitating, the things that he has done, he has
facilitated confusion, and that's what it's been and that's what

(38:15):
it's continued to be. And now he's getting what he wants.
So good for you, Jay, Good for the Paterno family
if that's what you're really looking to do in order
to restore Joe's name, I still don't think it's ever
going to happen. But here you go. Here we are,
the stock is short it and here's your opportunity. So
let's see what it is you're going to you know

(38:35):
you're going to do. And it's sad because you're making
Terry upon in the situation and you're putting him in
a situation where he has to almost be like the
remember the Titans coach and win a national title for
it to be legitimized. It's just it's to me, it's
a sad situation if you ask me.

Yeah, burst up, guys, it's over. It ended.

Speaker 11 (40:00):
For the first time in nearly nineteen years, Lebron James
did not record double digits.

Speaker 2 (40:07):
That's right.

Speaker 11 (40:07):
Last night in the Lakers win over the Raptors, Lebron
scored eight points. He shot four of seventeen from the field.
That is one and ninety seven straight games for Lebron
with double digits. The streak comes to an end. However,
you got to give him credit because the Lakers had
the ball in the closing seconds. Lebron had the ball,
he could have put up a shot to get to

(40:28):
double digits and said he passed it off to Ruy
Hachimura in the corner. Ruey hit a three at the buzzer.
The Lakers win it so selfless. Lebron good on new Man.
Look at that.

Speaker 1 (40:37):
He's a new man, just in time for them to
trade him. This is just wonderful stuff. For By the way,
the fact that he went almost thirteen hundred games scoring
at least ten points is gone. Like you talk about stats, Yeah,
you could make a stat for anything, but that is bananas.

Speaker 2 (40:56):
The career he's had so.

Speaker 6 (40:58):
Good for you.

Speaker 3 (40:59):
He's wanted the best, Yeah, it is uh
