Speaker 2 (01:41):
Good good name, Good morning, Horning bar you're here.
Speaker 1 (01:44):
You told me you might not taken what up stick?
Speaker 3 (01:48):
I'm surprised I made it all right?
Speaker 2 (01:53):
How's just how was how was it getting in?
Speaker 4 (01:58):
There?
Speaker 2 (01:58):
Was it okay?
Speaker 3 (02:01):
So I didn't go in? I am on LUCI today.
Speaker 5 (02:06):
Because I guess there was a mix up on days
having a studio, which is okay, it's no problem. But
so we stayed to take Pen to see the Wizard
of Oz at the Sphere. And I got to tell you, man,
that was that had to be easily the most ridiculous
(02:33):
viewing experience that I have ever had in my entire life.
I was blown away, bro blown away. Like technology and
people's minds and their brains and the things that they
can come up with and then do and put together
(02:54):
is ridiculous. I'm telling you the amount of detail. I
could see the tartar on the teeth of the actors
when they were talking, could see the tartar like.
Speaker 3 (03:08):
I could be I could have been a dentist.
Speaker 5 (03:10):
Yeah, you could see. You could see the spit coming
from their mouth if they if they had spit come
out of their mouth. You're not like sometimes you talk
too much or what you're talking comes out of dude.
Speaker 3 (03:25):
Yeah, not quite like that, that way, not quite WHOA
come on, Dorothy. But I kind of felt like that.
Speaker 5 (03:34):
I kind of felt like her and the straw Man
had a deal going on. And I didn't pick up
on that as a kid. I didn't pick up on
that as a kid. Really, Yeah, I think her and
the straw dude. Like when she was going back to
Kansas and she was saying goodbye to everybody, she basically
told him that she was going to miss him the
(03:56):
most out of everybody else.
Speaker 3 (03:59):
And and and like gave him a like a.
Speaker 5 (04:02):
Kiss on his cheek, but it was different than the
rest of them. And then when she got back she
woke up in Kansas and the you know, the tin man,
the the guy made a straw, the scarecrow whatever, and
then the cowardly line like you know, they were all
there on the farm and you know, the the scarecrow
(04:24):
do like got like got down on his knee and
was like in her face making sure she was okay.
I was like, oh, seeing this now as an old
because I have not watched that movie. I could couldn't
even tell you the last time I seen it.
Speaker 3 (04:36):
But yeah, I feel like they had a thing and.
Speaker 1 (04:39):
He should have coachn a tool he should coach in Michigan.
Speaker 3 (04:44):
Oh wow, Yeah, because she was under age.
Speaker 2 (04:46):
He went there.
Speaker 3 (04:47):
She was underage, I believe, I mean, Dorothy.
Speaker 2 (04:53):
No, no, not what happened there?
Speaker 1 (04:57):
Well, they're looking for somebody. I figured, you know, maybe he's.
Speaker 3 (05:01):
It's a free time Can y'all tell me what? Can
y'all tell me what that's all about? Right?
Speaker 5 (05:07):
Maybe I don't understand it. Are we allowed to talk
about it?
Speaker 2 (05:10):
Yeah? I mean, yeah, he was. I think I think
what you have to be careful about is there's there's
reports out there that are at this point allegations, So
you think you gotta be careful about Yeah. I wouldn't
even call it hearsay. It's just allegations because you don't
know what's been proven yet. So I will have Jonas
(05:30):
read off whatever he wants to read off, and I
will tell you what I have known for a little
while now.
Speaker 1 (05:38):
Sharon Moore, the former head coach of Michigan, was fired
with cause on Wednesday for reportedly having an inappropriate relationship
with a staffer. UH. He then was picked up by cops.
He is in custody in the in a Michigan County
jail as a suspect in an alleged assault that took
(06:01):
place hours after he was fired as Michigan's head coach.
There's wild speculation and rumors on social media about look
and I don't want to even because the the girl involved,
the woman involved, her name has been released.
Speaker 2 (06:21):
People have already found her product.
Speaker 1 (06:23):
Oh yeah, I mean everything, Like I think her LinkedIn
profile made it to social media. Like the whole thing's
a disaster. But so I don't even want to give
her name out because again it's alleged too. The hell
knows what's going on, but all sorts of stuff from
you know, screenshots of text messages, you know, Charon Moore
who you know apparently may have gotten her pregnant allegedly,
(06:46):
you know, forced her to have an abortion allegedly, then
you know, threatened to kill himself and then threaten somebody
else at the facility. Like there's all sorts of wild
stuff going on there. And I get I don't know
whether or not any of that is true, but that's
stuff that's been running rampant on social media since.
Speaker 2 (07:07):
Not that it matters, but just on the topic of
the abortion part. Supposedly, this is what's been reported that
the whistleblower having to be a door dasher who dropped
off Plan B to his office, and that's how this
whole thing came about. So look, I had gotten win
that there was an investigation. This is back in November,
(07:31):
and I'll be honest in my position, you never really
know what to believe, because you know, I remember being
around Northwestern hearing things about that when Pat Fitzgerald was
there and everything that was going on there. And college
football is a world where it's a crazy space because
(07:53):
you have these really really rich, wealthy donors who have
such a strong a powerful position behind the scenes that
are these puppet masters, at least at their schools, where
if they want something done, they have their ways of
getting them done. And oftentimes, when you pay a coach
(08:15):
and you're a part of that and then you have
a falling out or you don't want the coach to
be there anymore, what they typically do is they try
to use a cause in some fashi or form to
get out of having to pay that coach. And in
this case, what I had heard was that there was
an investigation going on about an appropriate relationship with a staffer,
(08:39):
and I kind of thought to myself at that time,
given the timing of what was happening in football, and
then looking at this, was all right, how much of
this is legitimate? How much of this has to do
with where they are on the field. You know, this
is a program that won a national championship, had had
been to what two and back to back years at
least been the playoff and then had won that following year,
(09:01):
and it felt like it was a pretty dramatic decline
from that that Jim Halbar era and there was a
lot attached to that. Harby are right, the Connor Stallions ordeal,
and how Sean Moore was wrapped up into that he
was gonna have to face a suspension in next year's opener.
Still like that stuff's still ongoing. Jesse Minter, who was
(09:21):
a part of the program, had a show cause where
he you know, it can't even be a part of
it till April twenty twenty six. So there's still even
though Harrorball's gone and he's in the NFL and they've
all kind of moved on and played a couple of
years after the fact, there's still this lingering Connor Stallions
(09:42):
deal that that just hangs over the program a bit,
and the results on the field haven't been quite what
they'd like them to be. I mean, they look, they
beat Ohio State last year, but it was a down
year for being honest, and then this year there was
a lot of hype, a lot of excitement around the
program because of their quarterback, Yet the quarterback didn't develop,
you didn't beat Ohio State in the end, and in fact,
(10:02):
it wasn't really even that close. And there was times
this year where, quite frankly, their record looked better than
they were. I mean, there was times when you weren't
sure they were gonna beat Northwestern, You weren't sure they
were going to beat a number of you know teams
that you were there, and and so the question kind
of came about where's this program going? Is shrow more
the right guy for it? And all you needed was
(10:24):
a little extra motivation to be able to say, yeah,
let's move on. And obviously the what's being reported is
terrible if all that went on this seat last night
when this came out what he's been alleged of doing.
But I also wonder when you look at just the
investigation in the first place, and you know how all
(10:46):
this stuff comes about, because that's typically what happens now
a lot of these schools, they look for they look
at the coach. If he's not doing a good job,
they do everything they can to try to find a
way of firing them with costs and they didn't have
to pay him. But again, what's being alleged is horrific,
and I hope that's not the case. I hope the
young girl was okay, uh for for everything that's been
(11:10):
thrown out.
Speaker 5 (11:10):
There, Yeah, it is this is a.
Speaker 2 (11:16):
This this is.
Speaker 3 (11:17):
A student, right.
Speaker 1 (11:19):
No, it's a staffer.
Speaker 3 (11:21):
No, yeah, but a staffer could be a student.
Speaker 2 (11:24):
It's not a student.
Speaker 5 (11:26):
It's so we're okay, it's clear it's not a student,
because you know how like there could be a there
can be a it's not it's not a student, Okay,
because in my mind, I'm like, maybe it was a recruiter,
like one of the recruiting type.
Speaker 2 (11:44):
It's or whatever. It's not a student.
Speaker 3 (11:47):
It's not a student. Okay, it's not all.
Speaker 2 (11:50):
Of a sudden you okay.
Speaker 5 (11:54):
Yeah, I mean the way y'all responded, I'm gonna just
stay away from it because I'm the one thing I
would I would ask.
Speaker 3 (12:00):
Though, is why so long?
Speaker 5 (12:04):
Why did it If this has been taking place, that
this investigation has been taking place for so long, why
exactly does it happen now? And again, just listening to
you say, all right, you know, if there's a speculation
that you know, you're looking for something to be just
cause you know, in terms of you know, removing him
(12:26):
without having to pay him based off of something that
took place. Why would it, Like, is this just the
duration of what the investigation was and had you know,
nothing to do with you know, how the university was
proceeding on moving with him and his employment or like cause,
it's just this is it's a curious time. Like the
(12:47):
timing of it is totally off. If you were planning
on moving on from him and going in a different direction,
wouldn't I mean, wouldn't that be a safe assumption.
Speaker 1 (13:00):
I mean it's like, what do you mean like that
he's that they knew about this and I didn't.
Speaker 5 (13:07):
Well if if if if the investigation, what did you
say to you said you might have heard about it
taken place in November?
Speaker 2 (13:15):
Yeah? So, but but here's the thing is, it's not
like these investigations don't take time. I mean, if there's
an allegation.
Speaker 5 (13:24):
Okay, I get that, but all the way all the
way into December, I mean November, I guess it could.
Speaker 2 (13:30):
It's been it's been it's been basically a month. Yeah,
yeah right, I mean it looks I don't be honest,
like I've I you know, in the back of my mind.
I kept thinking, like, again, you hear a lot in
college football. I can't say that enough of how often
times there are frustrator lums who want to move on
from a coach. They look for reasons to do so.
(13:52):
And and again I'm not saying that this didn't happen,
but you do you do hear all all these sorts
of things. Is because these contracts have gotten so big
and universities and lums who are a part that they
want to get out of it and they're looking for
a way out. So usually there has to be a
very thorough investigation that goes on to show, you know,
(14:12):
cause for why they are actually you know, moving off
from that coach. Otherwise the will be a wrongful termination.
Speaker 1 (14:18):
Look at the Mel Tucker stuff. I mean, like that
got real ugly because you know, he was underperforming. They
gave him, what ninety million dollars and they're like, well,
here's this and we'll get out of having to pay
the contract. Like yeah, it it seems like barely.
Speaker 3 (14:34):
The same situation, right or is it not.
Speaker 2 (14:39):
The different? You know in the sense of he brought
in a consultant I believe, who was supposed to talk
about mental health, domestic violence, sexual harassment, that sort of thing,
right that mel Tucker Tucker, Yeah, right, and then it
led to a relationship from there.
Speaker 1 (15:00):
It's a it's not great, man like, it's just the
whole thing because when the firing happened, I just thought
to myself, oh, okay, well, you know, clearly, you know,
they were not happy about what went down. But feels
a little late. Feels like, you know, all the good
candidates got gobbled up, et cetera, et cetera. And then
all of a sudden it starts to trickle out and
(15:21):
more and more people are starting to report on this,
and you know, people you know, trying to say that
you know, he you know, the threats to he showed
up at her house, kicked the door down when he
found out they had a coaches meeting without him, that
he was angry, he threatened to kill her. That his
wife found his location because he had his location on
(15:42):
on his phone, and so that's what led to them
being able to go to where he was at to
pick him up. Like this, the whole thing is is
just about as bad as it could possibly get for
somebody who had a golden opportunity a family wife, three kids,
like they're all now brought into this mess, like this
is not not great for anybody involved all the way around.
Speaker 2 (16:04):
No, no, and and just to go into the whole,
you know, the people who are behind the scenes pull
all the strings. What I'd heard was that funding was
going to be pulled if he was still going to
be the head coach. And so at some point, you know,
one of the most powerful had made the decision that
there would be funding that would be pulled. And if
that funding was to be pulled, you might be losing
(16:25):
a lot of guys in the transfer portal. You might
not be getting your quarterback back. You know again, who knows,
right like Bryce Underwood, who is not getting developed? I
think the way a lot of Michigan fans would have hoped,
and just as a fan of college football, I would
have hoped. I mean, the kid is just so so
super talented. Lane. When Lane Kiff had moved from Old
(16:47):
Miss to LSU, you know, you wondered there was ties
back to Brian Kelly at LSU with Underwood. Maybe Lane
Kiff and now goes goes after Bryce under What he's
got that huge thirty five million dollars on top of
the all the rev share that already have there at LSU.
So you wonder if they would have targeted Bryce Underwood
to get them out of there, And that was something
that you know, there was it was a conversation with
(17:08):
Dave Portnoy had talked about, you know and on one
of some podcasts recently that if Bryce Underwood were to
leave or trying to negotiate for more money, you know,
would there be more money there. So there's just a
lot of questions surrounding around what would have happen to
this roster, this program if the money is pulled from
one of their biggest backers. So that's the other part
(17:29):
of the conversation and talking about how how how much
power did these alums have that are really the money
backers to these programs, and so once they decided to
pull their funding, you have to really ask yourself, okay, then,
like who do you want? Where's this going? So that's
that's also part of the motivation behind moving on. It's
(17:51):
such as the cause and everything else.
Speaker 3 (17:55):
Where is this going?
Speaker 2 (17:58):
Like where they're going to be hired to coach from?
Speaker 3 (18:00):
Now? Yeah, I mean I get that part.
Speaker 2 (18:02):
I mean that's that's pretty Yeah, I think I think.
Speaker 5 (18:05):
At the point in time we are at right now,
what like, what are the options?
Speaker 2 (18:09):
How do they This is how this is how you
this is how you go. I think if you're a
blue blood program like Michigan, you ask all the people
that you have to say no. I always feel like
this is when when you're trying to if you're an
athletic director, if you're ward manual or anyone will part
of the process. You go ask Nick Saban, you go
ask Dan Lanning, you go ask Kirby Smart, you go
(18:31):
ask Kurt Signetti. Like you ask all those guys and
say say no, Like like say.
Speaker 1 (18:37):
No to Usaid State, go ask them, well, I'm.
Speaker 2 (18:43):
Not I'm not trying to compare them.
Speaker 3 (18:45):
Look, and here's the point extensions, here's the point to.
Speaker 2 (18:50):
Here's the point of Penn State too, is they did
a good job in that. Like, go ask everyone that
you were interested or you think might be. Now I'm
not saying you're offering a contract. I'm not saying you
see if they're interested. If they're interested, let's have a
conversation and let's see where this thing goes. But if not,
then you move on. And here's the hard part. Is
It's not like there's a lot of great oc DC
(19:11):
candidates now. I think you look at the job like
Brian Haynes has done at Indiana and I Urban and
I had this conversation like at some point with Signetti's staff,
they stayed together for so long, Like do people start
pulling like the Haynes away or Mike Shanahan is oc away,
Like do they start getting head coaching jobs. Do you
go back to Jesse Minner who was successful at Michigan
(19:35):
as a defensive coordinator. Do you talk to him he's
at the NFL and he's with the Chargers, you know,
Or do you look at guys like, in my opinion,
Clark Lee done an incredible job at Vanderbilt. You know,
he's he's going to be a name that I think
should be discussed, should be talked about. Mike Elko at
Texas A and m another guy who should be discussed,
should be talked about. They might look at Biff Pogi,
(19:58):
who did a great job as the Internet past you
and say, you know, let's just elevate Biff and see
where this thing goes. But I don't think that's going
to appease a lot of the folks there at Michigan.
I think they want to find someone that gets them
past what has been the Connor Stallion's era, the Jim
Harbaugh era, that as much as it brought them the
success of winning a national championship, it also had some
(20:20):
baggs that came along with it. So I think you
have to kind of turn over a lot of stones
here and ask a lot of those coaches that may
say no to you to find one of those top guys.
De Boor you know, like Caitlin de Boor has been
a name that comes up. I just I look at that,
(20:41):
I go, is that a fit? They don't run the football?
He can't stop the run, like like outside of like
the name of it, Like, how does that fit what
Michigan wants to do? Or who the identity of Michigan is.
Speaker 1 (20:55):
Yeah, that's crazy man's that's a wild story to drop
in the middle of the week. But the one thing
I have because there was, you know, the fact that
there was even conversations after the Ohio State game of like,
you know, maybe maybe he's not the guy for the job,
you know, even though he won't beat Ohio State last
year and he did a great job filling in like
(21:16):
maybe he's not the One thing I've learned in doing
this is when there's rumblings about the potential change of
a coach or something like that, and you look at
just the record on the surface and you go, what,
I mean, why why would There's usually more to the story,
And I just wonder if people maybe aren't as surprised
(21:40):
that this is where this said it. Maybe the details
are surprising, but maybe not as surprised that they were
sort of catching way because I think it was Josh Pate,
who covers college football, who said that Michigan knew about
this but wanted to wait until after signing day. Again,
like that's who the hell knows. That's just a report
to it.
Speaker 2 (21:57):
Like, well, like I said, I heard this back in November. Yeah,
so I think there's there's some validity to that. One
of the name, by the way, I'll throw in the
mix that I think is going to be back channeling
to get this job is Jedfish of Washington. He was
doing so to get the Florida job. He I guarantee
you he spent some time at Michigan back in twenty fifteen,
twenty sixteen, So about a decade ago. I guarantee you
(22:19):
he will be trying to get this job.
Speaker 3 (22:22):
So that's even that they would take into Michigan.
Speaker 2 (22:25):
Yeah, I think Jed does a very good job presenting
himself as far as you know, would they take him.
I mean, it all defines. It all depends on what
they're trying to bring on board. I mean, remember when
they hired Horriball, it was all about bringing in a
Michigan man. It had to be a Michigan man. So,
you know, I'm not sure if they're looking for maybe
even a former player that they feel like is in
(22:47):
the coaching ranks that would do coming and do a
good job. I'm not sure if they're looking for somebody
who's been there before as a coach, which Jedfish checks
that box. I just you know, for Jedfish the titles,
he went to Florida, so it made some sense to
get back to hisama mater. In this case, he's coached
at Michigan, and I think he feels like he would
do a good job recruiting there and understanding the landscape
(23:09):
of what they've got, and he's an offensive mind where
they feel like he could do a good job at
the quarterback as they try to keep and develop Rice Underwood.
But there's some really interesting wrinkles, I mean, the other
part to this. I mean, obviously Schroim Moore had no
idea this is going on. They just hired Kerry Combs
to come in and be their special teams coordinator. And
by the way, this news broke Combs, who was a
long time Ohio state assistant, which is interesting only because
(23:34):
you're out in Vegas for Urban's Hall of Fame inducttion.
I'm around all these O High state people and I've
gotten the no coach Combs. He's a great guy, really
good coach, special teams coach, you know, technique for like
a cornerback. But they were you know, they they called
and talked to Urban, They talked to some other guys
like hey, is this okay, like asking for permission to
(23:55):
go there. So it's just interesting. They just hired your
special teams ordinator. And you know, clearly Sharon had no
idea this was going on. And Tony Alford, who spent
some time in a hot state, he's there. He's a
really good coach. I mean, there's some This is a
good staff and it's unfortunate that if they end up
cleaning house and bringing someone else in. There should be
(24:16):
some coaches that hopefully they hang on to.
Speaker 5 (24:20):
But this is clearly a worse situation then we used
to compareson a Mail Tucker. I mean he was arrested,
you know what I mean, like, yeah, he was put
in the plant. Like this is this is worse, this
is this is bad.
Speaker 1 (24:35):
Yeah, I would say, you know, I mean, if the
allegations are true, I mean there's there's a lot if
they're true. Yeah, this is almost as bad as it gets.
A lot of people involved, a lot of a lot
of bad stuff out there. So you know, and what
a day to have Albert Brere on uh the the
Ohio State alum.
Speaker 2 (24:54):
We'll get we'll get his name in the bush.
Speaker 1 (24:55):
Well, yeah, that there is that. He thought he'd rid
himself from that label. Oops, then he showed up to Indianapolis.
Speaker 2 (25:03):
He just likes to say it's one Ohio State lifts
that here, dame. That's the that's the only time he's
got the positive effect in the Buckeyes. Otherwise, lookout, folks.
When if you're a Buckeye fan and Albert Brewers at
that game, Yeah, not bad things happen.
Speaker 1 (25:17):
By the way, we are brought to you by Makita

on along with Albert Breer. We've got the leftovers in
case you missed it some coach speak, all of it
is yours here on this three hour extravaganza. Up next,
(25:38):
somebody's gonna tell you why, why they made the decision
in the world of football, and that's yours here on FSR.

(28:52):
So Philip Rivers is back. He is signed with the
Indianapolis Colts. He spoke with the media for the first
time yesterday, talked about why he made the decision to
come back, and was also asked about where his playing
weight is at since he left the NFL in a
playoff game at Buffalo years ago.
Speaker 8 (29:11):
As simple as as can be, as a coach that
I love and an organization that I really enjoyed being with.
You know, mister Ursay believing in me in that year
in twenty twenty when it didn't go so good in
twenty nineteen and they wanted me. I wasn't really hanging
on in any hope of playing again. I'd kind of
thought that ship had sailed. But something about it excited me.
(29:33):
And it's kind of one of those deals. The door
opens and you can neither walk through it and find
out if you can do it or run from it.
Speaker 2 (29:39):
What if you're playing what are you ringing out right
this second? I'm not sure?
Speaker 3 (29:45):
Ray, how about that?
Speaker 8 (29:49):
That's an honest answer, and I will answer your question
a little better. On the playing weight, Greg, not not
what it was when I walked up the film in Buffalo.
Speaker 2 (29:56):
All right, I can tell you that.
Speaker 8 (29:59):
But then I thought that up with and I ain't
never ran away from anybody anyway. So they you know,
people say, well, they're know you're gonna be right there,
and it's like, well they knew that for sixteen seventeen years.
Speaker 1 (30:10):
So they showed him, Hey, vest they showed him yesterday
throwing the ball around in practice. He looks exactly the same, literally,
exactly the same, like nothing.
Speaker 2 (30:22):
In the face, okay, cab, No, he did.
Speaker 5 (30:28):
Now he looked a little healthier in the face, like,
you know, a little bit fuller. You know, it was
very very you know, evident immediately like seeing him like
he looked heavier, you know, a little fooler in the face.
Speaker 3 (30:42):
That's all okay, he did.
Speaker 5 (30:45):
What hey that when you gain weight, you gain it
in certain places like one of them is for Philip Rivers.
Speaker 3 (30:54):
Was the face that's It's not I wasn't throwing shade.
He just looked, you know. I think that that's why
was the obvious question that they were asking.
Speaker 2 (31:03):
So you think he's playing with it's a little.
Speaker 5 (31:04):
Heavier now he's heavy, Yeah, he's heavier. If that information
were to come out, it would be he's heavier.
Speaker 2 (31:15):
One of the things that has flown under the radar
is so he's been coaching his high school football team.
The high school football team he's coaching, they run the
Colts offense, and reportedly he talked about his love for
the coach. That's Shane Stike, and he talks to him
once a week. And you know, Phillip's one of those guys,
you know, he's watching film all day every day and
(31:35):
breaking that down. He loves football. So I'm sure this
thought was probably not introduced by Philip. It was probably
introduced by Shane Stike. And considering the dire situation that
the Colts are in, it's after the trade deadline, they
can't really make a move. So when you're looking at
what they need to do in order to try to
(31:57):
get back into the potential of going to the playoffs,
you know, she probably said, look, man, this may sound nuts,
but you know, the offense as good as anyone. You
were here for a year. We love you, and we
got Jonathan Taylor and some of these weapons. The old
Lion's playing like we can do this, and just give
(32:17):
us a shot because we've got a rookie that's banged up,
we've got another quarterback that's on ir We've got another
quarterback of Daniel Jones who's not coming back this season.
And then I believe they got what Brett Rippin. Yeah,
I mean, they're your choices. And Ripping had just gotten there,
so he's probably looking at this saying, you're a best shot, Philip,
(32:38):
can you just come in throw for us? Let us know,
like you still have the little fire, and Philip Rivers
might be saying, like, what what better opportunity to go into.
I mean think about that, Like, you're in a division
where your home games you're playing endors the rest of
the season. All right, that's a kind of a plus, right,
don't have to worry about playing income in weather. You
got that run game, you got an offensive line, you
(32:58):
got a receiver group that's contain you to emerge. You
had a defense that's playing better. You're in a division
where if you do got to go on the road,
you're going to some you know, other warm places. Right,
I just I kind of look at it and just
go This is a perfect situation if you were a
player who was sitting out, wanted to get an opportunity,
and by the way, it's all upside Like, there's no
(33:19):
downside to this. The guy's been out of football for
five years. Like he comes in and leads the Colts
to the playoffs. This is one of the greatest stories
I've ever heard in NFL.
Speaker 1 (33:26):
History at Seattle. To open up your comeback is probably
not not idea.
Speaker 2 (33:31):
That's not gonna be easy.
Speaker 1 (33:33):
Yeah, that defense is a problem.
Speaker 3 (33:36):
Man, they eat.
Speaker 5 (33:38):
Don't you gotta look at don't you gotta look at
the downside of it being the decision to be made
in the first place. I mean, if it goes bad,
if it goes horribly wrong when they put them out there,
I mean, can't you kind of make a mockery of
the decision that was made.
Speaker 1 (33:57):
They hired Jeff Saturday off a TV desk.
Speaker 3 (33:59):
They've do this before.
Speaker 2 (34:01):
This is what they did.
Speaker 1 (34:02):
Jim Mercey lives.
Speaker 2 (34:05):
Well, Like here's here's my question is for anyone who's
gonna knock this decision, who else is out there? A seriously? Like,
who else is out there that knows the system?
Speaker 3 (34:16):
That's the thing. Do they know the system?
Speaker 2 (34:18):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (34:19):
Do they know the system?
Speaker 5 (34:20):
But isn't there a better option of a younger player
that's out there that you could bring in that could
possibly possibly do a better job than a guy that's
been out of the game for what what we say,
five years years?
Speaker 2 (34:34):
But think about it. You you can't trade for anyone.
So like the names are Tyler Hennike, Nate Sudfield, Bryce Perkins,
Dorian Thompson, Robinson. Now these guys know the system and
you're trying to make a playoff push, but you at
least have a resume. That's that's a semi finalist with
a Hall of Fame right now and a guy who's
been there. He's been talking to the coach.
Speaker 1 (34:55):
I guess Philip Rivers was saying as well that when
he saw the Daniel j Owes injury, he thought, Man,
I wonder if Shane's gonna call me? I said, like
said it, like you know that that sucks for Danny.
I feel bad for him. I feel awful for the
guy because I like him, But I wonder if Shane's
gonna call me? And he said a few hours later
Shane called him, was like, what do you think? Like
all right? And he went in there and Monday night
(35:18):
had to work out and wanted to think about it.
And then here we are and uh, and he's been past.
Speaker 3 (35:24):
The physical Yeah, physical and everything.
Speaker 2 (35:26):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (35:27):
I mean, hey, Brady, are you thinking about going back?
Speaker 2 (35:31):
Hell? Well, first off, I will be fit. Yeah. Yeah.
He's also semi finals for the Hall of Fame, so
there's a big difference there. I've never played in that system.
I'd rather call one of their games down here in
the stretch and see what that looks like. But full
transparency I had when I had my back injury. I
had like some complicates from a drop foot. And one
(35:53):
of the things that honestly never felt the same even
to this day, was like my right like foot ankle,
like pushing off because and it sounds stupid, but like,
you know, you've got like a jump leg in basketball,
Like if I was gonna jump to dunk off one leg,
it'd be my right leg. I have never ever, ever
(36:14):
since that back and and where I noticed it the
most was and I would keep telling my agent this
because like back when I initially had surgery and then
you know, we we I was like rehabbing and working
out all that. He kept being like, are you ready
to go work out for teams? And I said, honestly no,
Like I kept feeling stuck, like when you drop back,
you get to the top of the drop, and I
(36:35):
couldn't push and like move the way I wanted to.
And I ended up signing with the Dolphins in training camp,
and I remember being there like it was probably the
second day, and I thought, Man, I'm never gonna feel
the same again, like I could not. Yeah, I was
a right handed dunker. If I had to.
Speaker 3 (36:57):
Jump off one leg opposite right.
Speaker 2 (37:00):
But if I if I didn't jump off one leg
till I jump as high as I could, like a
running start, I'll jump off my right.
Speaker 3 (37:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (37:06):
So if you were going in for a layup or
dunk from the right side, you would jump off of
your right foot.
Speaker 2 (37:14):
Huh well, no, it depends from a technique standpoint. No,
I'm saying if I was trying to jump as high
as I could off one leg, yeah, I would jump
off my right for your right foot.
Speaker 3 (37:25):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (37:27):
I was a two footed jumper. I was a Domini.
Speaker 3 (37:30):
I didn't I didn't throw that one your way. Damn
that one didn't come your way.
Speaker 1 (37:34):
Your white ass.
Speaker 5 (37:36):
You when your vertical is as low as yours, probably
as probably I was going to jump Jonas.
Speaker 2 (37:44):
You don't strike me as the type to have a
good vert. Did you ever care about your vertical?
Speaker 1 (37:47):
Oh no, no, no no, because I didn't need I
didn't need a high vert. Like if you just threw
the ball anywhere within thirty feet, we're fine. Within thirty feet,
we're fine. I'll hit that sort of catch radios. Yeah,
come on, yeah, we're fine.
Speaker 2 (38:03):
I've played catch with you. To be honest with you,
I don't I don't know that I'll remember your hands
really sticking out. I will say this like Lee had
decent hands. Lee had decent hands. He had that those
trickle toes and he.
Speaker 5 (38:16):
Oh man, he shook up. God, that didn't have what
I don't want to go. He shook him up at
the Super Bowl though.
Speaker 2 (38:26):
It was the hesitation that got him. It wasn't the
initial burst.
Speaker 3 (38:30):
It was.
Speaker 1 (38:32):
A little, a little stop and got.
Speaker 3 (38:35):
A little hot sauce.
Speaker 2 (38:36):
Yeah, I'll put it this way. It didn't look like
it looked like he had run from.
Speaker 1 (38:40):
Some before that hot sauce in Louisiana.
Speaker 2 (38:44):
Man, that on.
Speaker 5 (38:45):
I'll tell you what when you put that hesitation on
him with that hot sauce, Well, those are some simple ingredients. Yeah,
you put them on your plate. It turns every day
into a tailgate day. So no matter what you do,
no matter what day it is, get you some original
(39:06):
Louisiana Hot sauce. Add a little bit to your day
every day. That's Louisiana Hot. Make sure you're bad you so.
Speaker 2 (39:13):
Oh my god.
Speaker 1 (39:15):

Speaker 3 (40:18):
Hey? What's so Brady? What's up? Farm? Some Jones?
Speaker 1 (40:21):
What we're doing?
Speaker 3 (40:25):
What up?
Speaker 1 (40:26):
Guys?
Speaker 2 (40:26):
Well?
Speaker 1 (40:27):
What's that? What's that happen?
Speaker 4 (40:28):
It's time for in case you missed it, guys, And
well I got one for you. So yesterday a bill
was passed by the US House of Representatives.
Speaker 3 (40:35):
What for?
Speaker 4 (40:36):
It allows local and state law enforcement to disable drones
during sporting events, which the NFL and other leagues have
said are an increasing threat. So they're gonna have more
safer skies during these sporting events and particularly outside.
Speaker 2 (40:51):
So what do you think about that, guys?
Speaker 1 (40:52):
It seems like a no brainer.
Speaker 2 (40:54):
It seems like no brainer.
Speaker 1 (40:55):
Probably be anybody's seen drone strikes before. Those are a problem,
and I you know, if you could avoid that, it
seems like that would be, uh, that would be the
way to go. What I'm just saying, like, yeah, like
let's uh we don't need drones flying over the stadium. Okay,
like it just presents problems. What can we just go
(41:17):
back to blimp usage only the Fuji the good Year?
Can we get a two pros?
Speaker 2 (41:22):
This is again our listeners understand, this is Jonas going
back to nineteen eighty two. It's not where he wants
everything to go back to. Okay, everything's in black and
white and whimp and it's just the whole thing, all.
Speaker 1 (41:33):
Right, everybody, Brady, I want this on the record. Brady's
open to drone strikes at sporting events. Right on the record.
He wants drones at sporting events. That I didn't noted.
Speaker 2 (41:43):
I didn't go that far.
Speaker 3 (41:45):
I'm just saying, why would it be a drone strike?
Speaker 5 (41:48):
Why can't it just see a drone doing doing what
the blimp does?
Speaker 1 (41:52):
Worst case scenario? You always got to think that way.
Then I think, well, you think, what do you what
do you think a blimp is gonna do? It's a
bounce house with propellers. What's gonna happen?
Speaker 3 (42:10):
That's how they used to drop bombs.
Speaker 1 (42:11):
Man, Yeah, jesus, what are you guys gonna tell me?
Speaker 2 (42:15):
Next?
Speaker 1 (42:16):
Sesame Street wasn't real because it helped raise all of
us and now it's our turn. Donate this holiday season
