going on?

Speaker 3 (00:41):
Welcome in, Welcome in Week eighteen college football playoff, all
this good stuff going on here.

Speaker 4 (00:49):
I want to wish everybody a happy New year.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
Happy new Year to YouTube. Jmart.

Speaker 4 (00:53):
Everything good on your end, buddy, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
Man, very very good, very very blessed. Good Christmas, looking
forward to ball today and tomorrow. Everything's good, hope the same.
It's true for you.

Speaker 3 (01:04):
Absolutely things are good. Thanks are fine. I'll tell you what.
We'll get to trust here in a second. But I
got to tell you big things happening in my life here.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
J Mart.

Speaker 3 (01:14):
I don't know if you know this, but me and
my nephew Mini Matt, we have an annual Mario Kart Showdown.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
Okay, we plan on Switch one, we play Mario Kart
World on Switch to we go, We we go, whoa,
oh school we like?

Speaker 3 (01:30):
Okay, the original Wei and we do all thirty two races.
We're getting crazy this year. He's going to try to
get his computer, maybe webcam, you know, just try to
record it. Maybe we'll do a little highlight tape afterward.
Who knows. We're getting crazy this year. But this I
hope this is the year.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
J Mart.

Speaker 3 (01:48):
We've done this at least ten times over the years,
and I've won once.

Speaker 4 (01:53):
I've won one time, So I'm hoping.

Speaker 3 (01:56):
I'm hoping the end of twenty twenty five brings me
great fortune and I finally take this little punk down.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
You know, he just are you Alan Iverson? There's this
a no practice situation for you? Yeah? Oh yeah, why
we're not winning at all? It's like this is the
only time of year. Yeah, I think it's it.

Speaker 3 (02:11):
That's one of the reasons there's no practice all year.
It's just a one event, you know, and hopefully you
bring it that day. And the other thing is he's
young yet I'm not you know what I mean, Like
there's something about young people in video games that they
just have way more of an advantage than older people do.
So I'm racing against that as well. So you know,

(02:33):
we all have today, tomorrow, today. Yeah, so after the show, right,
like maybe like a half hour after this show, let's
get it out. As mills Lane used to say, right,
the big thing that's going on, big thing's going on today.
But hey, I want to talk to you Jason about trust. Okay,
it's the theme of the first segment, if you will.
I got a couple of examples, couple of subjects that

(02:55):
turn into a couple of questions. Right, So if you
look at this battle on Saturday, we'll start with the
NFL will weave our way to college football. Now, if
you look at this battle on Saturday between the Seahawks
and the forty nine ers, winner gets the division, winner
clinches the one seed, big stakes, big steaks. Who do
you trust more? Is it Sam Donald or is it

(03:19):
that forty nine Ers defense?

Speaker 4 (03:20):
And it's one of these, like, oh oh gosh, it's
not easy to pick one.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
But if you have to break the tie, do you
trust Donald or that forty nine Ers defense more?

Speaker 2 (03:32):
Man? I think just because this is the time of
year where Sam Donald has historically turned into a pumpkin. Yeah,
I don't know if it's different with Jays. I mean,
he's looked great this year, and the forty nine Ers

(03:53):
defense definitely has been spotty. Man. That is a really,
really tough question because there's reasons not to pick both.
But then you're just like, well, but San Francisco often
wins games and rises to occasions when you're least expecting it.
But then I'm watching Fred Warner in a varsity jacket

(04:13):
on TV on Sunday, so obviously he's not going to
be in a game, and I will take I'm gonna
I'm gonna do the weird. I'm gonna take Darnald. Yeah,
I'm gonna take Darnald. Maybe not by a lot, but
I think the connection that he has with with Barner

(04:36):
and with JSN and just the way that he can
hand the ball off to Charbonnay, I'm not sure that
San Francisco is gonna be particularly adept at stopping to run.
So I just I'm gonna go with what Darnald has
around him as much as him and just give him
the benefit of the doubt for one week and say
all right end of the season. This is the one
where you usually don't show up prove us wrong. That's right.

Speaker 3 (05:00):
Yeah, you know what, I'm with you, and I don't
like it, and that I don't like being with Donald, Right.
I love being with you, Jmar, but I don't love
being on the Donald side. It feels weird. You're just
like you have nightmares. Going right back to last season,
same scenario, right, yeah, I'm seeing ghosts with the Jets.
And then last season Division on the line, one seed

(05:22):
on the line, can you beat the Lions? And it
was a disaster. He played badly, He had guys wide
open in the end zone, couldn't get him the football.
They don't win the one seed. And then the next
week in the playoffs, right, he was even worse. He
took nine sacks in a loss against the Rams. So yeah, yeah,
these big stage games, you're like, oh gosh, am I

(05:43):
really going with Donald? But listen, Jackson Smith and Jigba
has been fantastic. If that running game is working anywhere
near what it was last week against Carolina, Sharboney went crazy, right,
So if you've got that running game cranked up, which
you could against the forty nine ers, defense that obviously
takes some of the responsibilities off of Darnold's plate. And

(06:06):
I just look at this Niners defense. Man, they're dead
last in the NFL in sacks defensively. There they have
eighteen sacks on the season. The Broncos have sixty four. Like, now,
that's that's first place, and that's last place in that category.

Speaker 2 (06:21):
And they lost their main guy, right, I mean they
lost Nick Bosa, that's right. And he was the guy
that caught that. Even when he was not the one
getting the sack, you had to account for him so much.
He was such a disruptive force that you took him
out of the equation and they just there's no teeth
on that front line, right, that's right.

Speaker 3 (06:41):
He doesn't free anybody up, right like he right, he
isn't getting chipped, and well, this frees up somebody else,
or he he forces the quarterback to step up and
there's a defensive tackle right there who gets the sack. Yeah,
it's completely different. If you look at the Niners dead
last in sacks, they're looking up at the Jets. Jets
pass rush fears m over there, Like the Jets have

(07:03):
twenty six sacks on the season. The Niners have eighteen.
That is just terrible. They just got carved up, not
only by the Bears. And you're like, okay, Caleb Williams,
he's got a ton of skill. They got carved up
by old man Rivers, like Philip Rivers came off the
couch after a five year hiatus and carved up the
forty nine ers. So what do you think is gonna

(07:25):
happen come playoff time? And in this game, right before
playoff time, I think Donald has a leg up on
the forty nine ers defense, is what I think here?

Speaker 2 (07:33):
Yeah, I mean, I think I think that is the
smartest play if you had to, if you had to
bet on one. And look if Donald can kind of
shake off that reputation of him in crucial moments at
the end of the season. I mean, all of a sudden,
you're looking at Seattle and saying, all right, they could
go all the way, like because they're very dangerous. We

(07:55):
know what they can do defensively, we know what they
can do running the ball if he just doesn't turn
it over. And and you know, eighteen sacks on the
season is barely one per game as a team. Not
that's right. I mean, Miles Garrett is laughing at them,
that's right, right now.

Speaker 3 (08:14):
But Miles Garrett himself has more than the forty nine
ers collectively, right, So one would.

Speaker 2 (08:19):
Think one would think if you're Darnald, you've got a
pretty good chance at a clean pocket most of that game. Like,
you're gonna have more of an opportunity in that spot.
If that's the case, like, just don't turn it over,
just find the open man and don't try to do
too much. You know, it's all The problem for the
forty nine ers or playing against the forty nine ers

(08:40):
is you're gonna be playing against genius Shanahan and whatever
he's got offensively, and you're catching brock Party at a
time where all of a sudden he decided he's really
good again. We'll see whether or not that changes in
a couple of weeks, but you know, he's making all
the plays and CMC is having an incredible season. He's
been healthy much throughout. So you're gonna have to outscore

(09:02):
them potentially, but that's a very doable thing because their
defense is likely to give you an opportunity to put
up four or five touchdowns.

Speaker 3 (09:11):
That's right, Okay, So let me give you another one
here trust, which coincidentally is a halfway decent Megadeth song.
J Mart, you know, no real metal. You're all over
the medal there? So is that countdown to extinction.

Speaker 2 (09:26):
Megadeth?

Speaker 3 (09:27):
Oh gosh, I think it's cryptic writings, is what it is?

Speaker 2 (09:30):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (09:30):
That one?

Speaker 3 (09:31):
Who do you trust more? The Steelers offense or Lamar Jackson?

Speaker 2 (09:36):
Who is?

Speaker 4 (09:37):
Oh yeah, I know it.

Speaker 2 (09:39):
It's gonna be ugly here. You got to pick one.

Speaker 4 (09:41):
Who you got.

Speaker 2 (09:41):
I'm gonna have to get some an acid during the
break for the for the way this show has started
with these sup questions. Oh yeah, student offensive, Lamar Jackson
right now?

Speaker 3 (09:56):
No Metcalf. No Metcalf scored six points. It's against the Browns.
I'm gonna take Lamar. And the reason why if well,
if Lamar can play or whatever like that. But like,
I'm gonna take Lamar simply because in this scenario, he
knows if I just go out and ball out once
we're in the playoffs with all of what we've done, dude,

(10:19):
I have Baltimore winning the Super Bowl this year.

Speaker 2 (10:21):
Wow. Yeah, so did my regular co host Aaron Torres.
We both picked Baltimore before the season, and I said
this would be the year that the Steelers didn't finish
five hundred. This would be the end of Tomlins streak.
They're not gonna do that. I got I ended up
getting that wrong because for whatever, they started out really strong.

(10:42):
But there's nothing about what they do right now offensively
that concerns me. If I am a defense like, maybe
Rogers has got one more in him. He certainly played
pretty well in the last game. But I'm gonna take
Lamar because again, Lamar's got He's got a semi truck
he can hand the football to as well, and Derek Henry.

(11:04):
He's coming off a two hundred and fourteen yard, four
touchdown performance. That's that's the biggest reason is Lamar. Lamar
can be Lamar without having to go for four hundred
yards and win this game. And the Steelers defense is
not what it has been in years past. Even if TJ.
Watts is able to play in this game, I like
the chances of Lamar to pull one out because the

(11:28):
Ravens were supposed to make it and then it's like,
how are they still possibly able to make it with
the season that they that they've had. I feel like
that's enough to spur Lamar onto one of those performances
that has people saying, well, it's Baltimore the team you
don't want to face now, And the answer that question's
gonna be no. But I think I think I'll tack Lamar.
I get it.

Speaker 3 (11:48):
I totally understand what you're you're thinking on that one.
But yeah, but I just cannot trust Lamar. I don't
even know that he's gonna play, which is a whole That's.

Speaker 2 (11:59):
What I'm saying. If he doesn't play, it doesn't matter.
If he's not healthy, it doesn't matter. I will say this.
I the one I don't trust right now is John Harball.
And it's not as a coach. When they had their
little tiff or there was the question about their relationship
last week, he said, our relationship is a plus, him

(12:20):
and Lamar and I said, as soon as I heard that,
oh there's a problem. Have you ever heard anybody in
your life say our relationship is a plus? Like that
sounds like a fake thing that you say to try
and stop something like it. Maybe that is how he talks.
I don't know, but when I heard that, that's like

(12:40):
you're going You've you've over said. It's like, how's your relationship. Man,
how are you and how are you and Gina doing right?

Speaker 5 (12:47):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (12:47):
Man, couldn't be better? A plus, gonna give her a
ring next week, we're gonna get married. It's just like, oh, okay,
you've oversold it. I'm sorry things are going poorly for you.
Like when I heard that, I immediately thought, oh, there's
a problem here. There's a problem in this relationship. There's
just the season has been rough on everybody involved. So

(13:08):
I don't think the vibes are particularly good right now.
Now that's a good point. Yeah, if you can believe it.
A team with Aaron Rodgers, the vibes are better in
twenty twenty five than whatever's happening in Baltimore.

Speaker 3 (13:20):
Yeah, it's a man, that's a good point. If someone
came up to you like, hey, Brian Man and you
and Lisa are right, everything good, and I'm like, we
have an A plus relationship. Whoever I said that to
would be like they're breaking up, Unike Sin Lisa Flowers,
there's a problem.

Speaker 4 (13:33):
That's right, It's it's over.

Speaker 3 (13:35):
Yeah, I just look, man, I don't trust the Steelers offense,
especially without DK. I mean, you saw what happened against
the Browns six points, and it somehow looked uglier than that,
if that's even possible, it did.

Speaker 4 (13:48):
So I don't have great faith in them.

Speaker 3 (13:50):
But that Ravens defense has not been like the you know,
the two thousand Ravens out there exactly right. They have
not been fantastic defensively. And I'm just looking at how
many points is that Steelers offense gonna have to generate here?
This is gonna be an ugly, gross, you know, a
game in the team's type game, right, It's not gonna

(14:12):
be a score fest. It's gonna be gritty, it's for
the division. It's gonna be AFC North to a tee.
So I don't think the Steelers offense has to be
prolific at all. And I just don't know that Lamar
is gonna play. I can't believe he hasn't gotten back
out there yet. He's day to day with the brus
He's got an Awi and he's still out like and
if he gets back in there, I just don't know

(14:34):
how effective he's going to be. This is not the
Lamar we're accustomed to. He's a special player, he's a
special talent. He's done insane things he's a two time MVP,
he probably should be a three time MVP. And yet
the version we've seen gutting through some injuries.

Speaker 4 (14:50):
Right, he's had a.

Speaker 3 (14:51):
Hammy, a knee, he's had a toe, he's had an ankle,
he's had all this stuff. He's not looking to run,
he's not dynamic, he's not himself. This season he went
thre games with zero touchdowns. Yeah, so like off the show, off,
another in, another one off, another injury, and I'm expecting
Lamar to just like ball out against the Steelers defense

(15:11):
at home with the division on the line.

Speaker 4 (15:13):
I don't trust them at all in this spot.

Speaker 2 (15:16):
Yeah, look, all of that is right. I really don't either,
I guess. And you talked about it not being a shootout, Well,
I would say both teams are gonna hope for that.
Remember the Week one classic between the Jets and the
Steelers that no one saw coming way back in the day,
when they had a shootout. I even think that game
might have gotten into the forties. It was wildly entertaining.

(15:38):
It's like, may, maybe this justin fields thing is gonna work. Nope, Nope, no, no,
not not so much. But yeah, I mean it definitely
has like seventeen thirteen written all over it. Yeah, it's
definitely a game. Yeah, it's definitely a game like that.
The bigger thing to me is just like, man, I
don't want to see either one of these teams in
the playoffs, you know, like the and maybe we'll talk

(16:01):
about this some and hour two, but there are definitely
there are some teams that are gonna make the playoffs
that I absolutely don't know what to make of those teams.
I should know right now what I think of you
as a football team. And there are a few teams
with records that are good where I'm just like, I
don't know if that team's good or not. I have

(16:22):
no idea these two teams. I know these two teams
are mid at best. Like these teams have they're just mediocre.
Could be on the back of all their jerseys. It
could be like the salute to service where you have
unity or something on the back of the jersey. All
this could just say mid on all their jerseys and
that would be it. Just because it's the season that
they've had this division the whole way through has been this.

(16:46):
So yeah, I mean I don't know. Maybe the bigger questions,
like do you do you do you like Tomlin or
do you like Lamar? At which point I might have
gone the other way. I think it's just when I
heard Steelers offense, do you think about no Metcalf. Yes,
it's just like I don't know where the dynamic. I
don't know where it's coming from at this point. But
you could end up being right. I'm glad we found

(17:07):
one of the two of them to disagree on. But yeah, Lee,
at the very least, it should be a dramatic, hard
hitting game.

Speaker 3 (17:14):
Yeah, no doubt. It should be a good game. I'm
looking forward to it. Hey, have you heard about trainer games?
Add this to your binge list. Ten athletes go head
ahead for a chance to win an i fit trainer
contract worth two hundred and fifty thousand dollars. That's right
quarter of a million bucks. Trainer Games on Prime Video
January eighth. Watch the trailer on trailergames dot Com. All right,

(17:38):
coming up next, trust it continues right like Jay Mart's
got our two planned out to trust in the AFC playoffs?

Speaker 4 (17:46):
Coming up next?

Speaker 3 (17:47):

(19:06):
how pros get more done? All right, let's get to
college football here today. We got a playoff game today, Jason,
this is your you're here night cap.

Speaker 4 (19:16):
We got Miami. It's all about to you.

Speaker 3 (19:18):
Yeah, I love that against Ohio State. Sorry, the the Ohio.

Speaker 4 (19:23):
State here is what we have going on.

Speaker 3 (19:25):
And the Buckeyes pretty big, healthy favorites here, you know,
right around ten points, just to scosh under ten points.

Speaker 4 (19:34):
So the question if we.

Speaker 3 (19:35):
Get back to trust over here, Jason, who do you
trust more? The bigger picture is who do you trust more?
Do you trust let's go gambling. Do you trust Miami
plus nine and a half more or is it the
Ohio State at minus nine and a half more? That
is the heart of the question, and then we can
get to another side topic, if you will. With these

(19:57):
two teams, Let's start there, who do you trust more?
With the points spread in mind?

Speaker 2 (20:01):
Ohio State? You do, yeah, I've got to win him
by over two touchdowns. I think it just comes down to, like,
Miami plays pretty solid defense. They have an outstanding player
on the field there. But I just think Carson Beck's
gonna throw a pick six and a couple of other

(20:23):
I don't trust him like I do not trust him
in this game against that team. I just don't. I
have seen, you know, a couple times this season where
it's been really a lot. It's been just him having
a bad game, especially a turnover field game that has
cost them. And I'm just I think some people have
forgotten that Ohio State's really good because the last time

(20:46):
you saw him, they were in a dogfight against an
awesome Indiana team. I'm just I'm not cutting bait on
that team at all. Yet when it comes to Ohio State,
I just think that whoever came out of Miami, me
in Texas A and m you were going to have
a kind of a bad impression just because of some
of the way that game played out, with the wind

(21:06):
and all the missed kicks and everything else that was
going on. I don't really look at it from there
and say, oh, whoever walks out of here is getting
killed by Ohio State. I just generally don't think Miami's
that great. I think that they have a lot of talent,
but Ohio State's got elite talent all over the field,
and I just I think this has a better chance
to be a blowout than it does to be a

(21:27):
field goal or touchdown game.

Speaker 3 (21:29):
Fair Enough, I'm on the other side, Jason, we have
another disagreement.

Speaker 4 (21:33):
How about that?

Speaker 3 (21:34):
Do you trust Jason and Brian to agree on something
like That's the subplot over here. But I'm going with
the Canes. And listen, the.

Speaker 2 (21:42):
More the spreader to win the game, I.

Speaker 3 (21:45):
Like them to win the game, but I love them
with the spread. A couple of things here is when
I think about this game, like surface level, I love Miami.
The more I start thinking about it, the less I
love Miami.

Speaker 4 (21:58):
Right, I'll give you an example.

Speaker 3 (22:00):
So when I just look at this to begin with,
and I think of the strengths that Miami has, they
have a nasty pass rush. When you've got Reuben Bain
Junior and Mesidor, that is a greatest one to two punch.
And so I look at Julian Sayan, who he was
a Jared Goff like fish out of water facing a
pass rush and facing pressure against Indiana. Can Miami put

(22:23):
heat on him the same way? Absolutely they can. They're
also good against the rush, and I don't love Ohio
States running game either. And then defensively, look, that's where
it really gets you know, if he is You're right
about Carson Beck.

Speaker 4 (22:37):
I don't like the guy.

Speaker 3 (22:38):
I mean, he was fantastic at Georgia when he had
NFL talent to throw too. He had brock Bowers, he
had Mconkey. He doesn't look the same way without those guys, right,
So it's been a long time since we've seen Carson
Beck look like an elite quarterback. He was thought to
be maybe the number one overall pick, and then he
crashed and burned last year and he's like, you know what,

(23:00):
I'm even gonna go out in the draft just yet.
It's not the time favorite surfaces at Miami and it
hasn't been great. Four interceptions against Louisville. You know as
well as I can, it can look like a grease fire.
But can they run the ball at all? Fletcher Junior
was amazing against Texas A and M and he's got
a lot of talent to throw to right like Tony Daniels, like,

(23:24):
these aren't really good weapons. And as much as I
love Ohio State's talent, and they are talented left and right.
Everywhere you look, there's talent. They just aren't tested. They
did not play this gauntlet of a schedule. They played
the opposite of a gauntlet. Their whole resume is barely
beat Texas, barely lost to IU.

Speaker 2 (23:45):
That's it.

Speaker 3 (23:46):
Everything else is just inconsequential team after inconsequential team. So
I don't trust Ohio State at all, and I get
nine and a half points.

Speaker 4 (23:54):
I love that. And I also like that.

Speaker 3 (23:57):
Jeremiah Smith, the stud wide receiver, he showed up the
press conferences saying we'll see Indiana again. It's like that
means you guys are going to be in the title game, right,
like the Colliers don't. By the way, I do not
have them there. Okay, you don't have Ohio State making
it there? No, okay, you gotta getting tripped up the

(24:17):
next round then.

Speaker 2 (24:18):
Huh yeah, I mean, I my, I guess if we're
doing all of it. But like I mean, I've got
I've got Indiana and Georgia in the final, okay, So yeah,
just to go ahead and throw that out there. But
in terms of what you're saying, I agree, and I
said that was the reason why I was a little
reticent about Ohio State. Is what happens when somebody punches
them in the mouth. Well, they lost to Indiana. Yeah

(24:41):
that was a conference title game and all this, but
it did determine the number one seed and and all
those things, and Miami is going to try and punch
them in the mouth. But let me ask you this,
I'm not so sure Crystal Ball is necessarily who you
want on game day. Totally, totally. Yeah, That's That's another
piece of it for me is just like in crunch time,

(25:02):
I feel like Mario Christobal has a little bit too
much James Franklin in him. Oh historically, now maybe frank
was gonna turn around. I hope he does. Like I
think he's in a perfect spot to go in there
and do some really good things at Virginia Tech. But
like christ of Ball has done a nice job, but
Christabaal has just been somebody you can't trust to make
the right call at the right time. And he's just

(25:25):
he hasn't managed games particularly well at the end and
things like that. The only knock really on Ryan Day
has been conservatism against Michigan for the most part, and
I just feel like, yeah, they're not tested, but they
certainly were last year and a lot of those guys
are still on that team, and saying, even if he's

(25:47):
getting chased around a little bit, you're right about the
run game. Like the thing that did bother me was
how Indiana stymy their run. But Indiana's phenomenal against the run.
Miami is good against the run. But I just feel
like I feel like saying the accuracy is going to
be enough in that game. Plus again, if Beck puts

(26:07):
the defense in a hole, things are gonna start feeling
real lethargic. I'm afraid on the Miami side. So I
think you just add all those factors in. I just
don't feel like I do not feel like the Cane
and I don't know how I mean, how tested are
the Canes they played in the ACC. So I just

(26:28):
I feel better about Ohio State. I just think they're
gonna show up in ball out. I think their studs
are going to show up and ball out.

Speaker 3 (26:34):
I'll say it this way, they're as tested as Ohio
State is, because oh.

Speaker 2 (26:39):
For sure, you have no question about that.

Speaker 3 (26:41):
Yes, you start off facing Notre Dame first game, and
then you bookend it with that playoff game against Texas
A and m Like, that's that's as close as you
can get to what Ohio State had facing Texas and
then facing IU that's as close as you can get.
And then for both teams in the middle, it's just
a bunch of It's like, yeah, run of the mill,

(27:02):
acc and run of the mill, big ten teams like that,
That's what it was for both of them. I'll tell
you one thing that's funny about this with these two
teams here and all the strengths that they have, It's
funny that you can play this game with Ohio State
and how talented they are, but you can look at
little things and like.

Speaker 2 (27:20):
Hey, how you feel about Ryan Day over there?

Speaker 4 (27:22):
You know?

Speaker 3 (27:22):
And you can play the same game with Miami all
the strengths that they have. You can be like how
you feel about Carson back exactly how you feel about Crystoball.
So with the with Ohio State, it's it's tight. Ryan Day,
you know you mentioned it. Are we gonna see something
like that? Now he's calling plays Brian Hartline, who's set
to take the job at South Florida. He's gonna be
the head coach over there. Ryan Day's like, Hey, how

(27:45):
about I call plays. You get ready for South Florida
there B Hart, you know, I'll get ready for the
college football playoff and I'll be calling plays here.

Speaker 2 (27:54):
How does that look?

Speaker 4 (27:55):
Does it look great?

Speaker 3 (27:56):
Does it look like you know, Dan Campbell when he
took over the first week at least to get the
Washington Commanders, or does it look like tight? Ryan Day's
fingerprints are all over this tight game plan?

Speaker 2 (28:07):
Right, we look at that. If it looks like if
it looks like that, they're gonna lose. Yeah, Like they can't.
They cannot get tight, like the Conservatism can't be there.
He's got to be aggressive. He's got to play like
he knows that his talent is better than their talent.
And you know that's gonna take some trust on his
part on his guys. But he's got to trust Jeremiah Smith.

(28:29):
He's got to unleash that offense. They got to take
some big time shots early in the game, try to
set the tone. Put Miami's defense on its back heels.
I think they can do that. But that point is
right and heartline moving on, and you know, I'm more
I'm more concerned about Ohio State. If we're gonna keep
getting all the great wide receivers. Now the heart Line's

(28:50):
gone because Heartline was so responsible on the recruiting side
first off as a former wide receiver, but he was
the guy that you know is largely credited for the
fleet of wide receivers that have been there over this
stretch for Ryan Day. I want to see what that
looks like in the future. This year, You've already got
your guys, you know, use Tate and U Smith and

(29:11):
put Saying in positions to succeed and try to protect
him against that pass rush. And you have a pretty
good chance because I still think Beck is good to
give you at least two interceptions to this guy. He
might be at least Hey.

Speaker 3 (29:25):
This show is sponsored by Draft Kings sportsbook and official
sports betting partner of the NFL and NBA. Right now,
use the promo code two pros to claim your special
offer at Draft Kings. Again, that promo code two pros
at Draft Kings. The crown is yours man. If good,
that's the thing good. Carson Beck has to show up
tonight Fort Miami and he can. That's the thing he can.

(29:49):
You know, he's capable of being good in this spot.
He's capable of out playing Julian saying, who has been
a completion machine. He's been a completion may in this season,
he's completing nearly seven Like, where's he at?

Speaker 2 (30:03):
Almost eighty percent.

Speaker 4 (30:04):
Of his passes?

Speaker 2 (30:05):
Is that where we're at with?

Speaker 3 (30:06):
That's insanity from him? But hey, man, he throws the
ball real fast. So does Carson Beck. That's the one
thing like Ohio State has a real pass rush. Carson
Beck gets rid of the football very fast. Quick passes.
We're talking two point three seconds. That's the third fastest
in the entire FBS. So he can get rid of
the football pretty fast. And the thing with Julian saying,

(30:27):
right like they get out they get quick pressure. What
is what Miami does second most pressures in sacks with
the first two point five seconds of drop back. So
like if the quarterback drops back, holds the ball right
for two point five seconds, the Canes are nasty. The
second best pressure rate, second best sacks.

Speaker 4 (30:47):
So you gotta get rid of that football really fast.

Speaker 3 (30:50):
And if Julian saying isn't doing that, man, I'll tell
you what, Baine Junior mesador they can eat. I can't
wait for this matchup, but I think nine and a
half man It's one of those games, J Mart, where
you know you at least I go into it like
you're giving me nine and a half with all this
NFL talent in the trenches, I will happily take it.

(31:10):
And then the game starts off and you're like, all
right down seven at halftime.

Speaker 2 (31:14):
I don't know how I.

Speaker 3 (31:15):
Feel about the plus nine and a half. It could
absolutely play out like that too. Oh yeah, it definitely could.
I mean, you make a really good argument. I hope
it is good.

Speaker 2 (31:26):
I just my head since the matchup was official, was
just I think Ohio State's going to blow them out,
but it very well may not go that way. I
do think that early in the game you are likely
to see just a ton of pressure coming at saying.
I think they want to get him off the spot quick.

(31:46):
They want to see how uncomfortable they can make him,
and I think they want to test the old line.
They want to see up front if Ohio State can
hold up. So there may be some opportunities for shots
for saying if the O line can hold up, because
I think they're gonna send the house at say in
early in the game, not as much just to set
the tone, but just to kind of experiment and see, Okay,

(32:09):
what are we in for? What adjustments are we gonna
have to make?

Speaker 4 (32:12):
I'm really curious to see.

Speaker 3 (32:14):
You know, do you take advantage of Miami's aggressiveness? Does
Ohio State say, oh, we anticipated you were sending the
house right, we hit you with a screen that just
went forty four yards?

Speaker 2 (32:24):
You know what I mean?

Speaker 3 (32:25):
Like something like that, where really anticipating what the other
team's gonna do. That could really screw the other team.
You know, you could really hit a big play, catch
them in the wrong defense, the wrong look. So that's
something else to look for. Ever wanted to try an

easy to start. Find a beginner class near you at

Speaker 2 (32:54):
I'll tell you.

Speaker 3 (32:55):
One other thing to think about here, jmart Is you
look at last year when Ohio State and they were
essentially what was a wildcard team in the NFL playoffs,
right like, they played in the first round. They were
not a team that earned a bye. They played in
the first round and they smoked a flawed Tennessee team,

(33:15):
and then they parlayed that into smoking Oregon. They crushed
Oregon in the Rose Bowl. And so what's interesting to
me is I'm not saying they're gonna look horrible just
because they didn't play last week. But it's a much
different situation here. They got a buy. Miami was the
team that played last week. And granted Miami didn't look

(33:36):
all world their defense did, but they left a lot
of points on the field. Their kicking game is atrocious, right,
it was awful against Texas A and m and they
won a slugfest. But with Miami playing last week and
Ohio State not playing last week, much like complete opposite
scenario for Ohio State year over year. I'm really curious

(33:57):
how they look early. How does Ohios they look early?
Do they look like a team who's well rested and man,
they're just refreshed, or do they look like a team
that's a little sloppy, like we're not quite executing yet
we haven't played in a little bit.

Speaker 4 (34:11):
Do they look like that?

Speaker 2 (34:13):
You remember how that played out last year? I mean,
the teams that have buys, there was definitely.

Speaker 3 (34:18):
Some issues for those squads, That's right, Absolutely there were,
So that's something else to think about too. I'm very
curious how the Ohio State opens up this thing after
getting that bye week.

Speaker 4 (34:28):
So can't wait for it. Man, this is gonna be fun.

Speaker 2 (34:31):
What do we get to bowl?

Speaker 4 (34:32):
We got the little Cotton Bowl?

Speaker 2 (34:33):
Action.

Speaker 4 (34:34):
How high scoring do you think it is?

Speaker 2 (34:36):
Not at all? I think it's in the twenties. Okay, Yeah,
I don't think it's like nothing, But I, like I said,
I if you really want, if you really want my feeling,
I feel like Ohio State's in the mid to high
thirties and Miami's sitting at like fourteen. Like I really
think there's a good chance at an absolute blowout in

(34:56):
this game.

Speaker 3 (34:57):
Interesting. Yeah, well that kind of answers it. I was
gonna ask, how many points do you think, realistically Miami
would have to score to win this game? Like, what's
the point total you would feel comfortable saying, all right,
you've at least got a great chance to win the game.

Speaker 2 (35:13):
It's I think it's minimum twenty four.

Speaker 3 (35:16):
Okay, Yeah, I don't think that's crazy at all. I
can see that for sure. Hey it's Brian No Sesame

Coming up next, We've got a team that I think
is dead inside. I think this is an absolute dead
team walking, and so it's fitting that they're facing this scenario.
We will dive right into that. He's Jason Martin. I'm

Speaker 3 (36:47):
Lorena a very very tall like skyscraping five to seventh,
five nine?

Speaker 2 (36:52):
Is it?

Speaker 4 (36:53):
Yeah? Very tall woman over there? That do it running joke.

Speaker 2 (36:58):
It's great.

Speaker 4 (36:59):
It was one of the best mins ever.

Speaker 3 (37:01):
All right, so I think, well, sorry, so, uh, this
was a while ago. I was filling in probably for
Ben Maller, and uh during one of the breaks, like
Lorena out of nowhere, She's like, oh, Dua Lipa is
a very tall woman, And I'm like, wow, really what

(37:21):
what were we talking?

Speaker 2 (37:22):
Like?

Speaker 4 (37:22):
Six two six five and heels five seven?

Speaker 3 (37:27):
She is five eight five eight sorry five eight of.

Speaker 2 (37:31):
Three inch or platform heels.

Speaker 6 (37:33):
She is a very tall woman, very very tall five
four girl myself.

Speaker 2 (37:39):
That's true.

Speaker 4 (37:40):
Yeah, I get it.

Speaker 2 (37:42):
I get a whole another air department up there.

Speaker 3 (37:44):
It's all relative, all relative, right there, All right. So
the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Jason, we talked about Tampa Bay
for a second. First off, it is so fitting that
this team they don't even control their path to the playoffs.
An more, with Atlanta winning on Monday night against the Rams,
not only does Tampa need to win on Saturday, they

(38:07):
have to beat Carolina. And I thought they'd be in
just doing Nope, no, no, no. Now that Atlanta won
on Monday night, not only does Tampa need to beat Carolina,
then they would need Atlanta to lose the next day.
They got to sit there at home. Should they beat Carolina?
Like like crossing their fingers, like, come on, Tyler Shock,

(38:28):
let's go.

Speaker 4 (38:29):
Saints?

Speaker 3 (38:29):
Who dad, baby, let's go. They need the Saints to
beat the Falcons to get it. They don't even control
their paths to the playoffs anymore.

Speaker 4 (38:37):
That's insane.

Speaker 2 (38:37):
But is that true?

Speaker 4 (38:39):
That's true? Yeah, it's not a winning.

Speaker 3 (38:41):
No, I don't I don't think that's true. It's feds
have completely true. They do not control their paths.

Speaker 2 (38:47):
So the Falcons get in. Is that what you're saying?

Speaker 4 (38:49):
No, no, no, falcons have no chance.

Speaker 2 (38:51):
Okay, all right, that's I thought you were talking about that.
That's where I was like, wait, I'm pretty sure the
Falcons are eliminated.

Speaker 3 (38:56):
Yeah they are, they are, But what happened is, yeah,
if Carolina, sorry, if Tampa wins and Atlanta wins those
there's a three team you know, like tie All those
teams are eight and nine, and then somehow Carolina would
win the tie breaker.

Speaker 2 (39:12):
They would go souch.

Speaker 3 (39:14):
Tampa has to win on Saturday, and then they needed
Atlanta to lose. If if Atlanta wins, it's a three
way tie and Tampa is out. Wouldn't that be the
most Tampa thing ever? This season, they somehow find a way.
They they got after losing seven of eight, they somehow
beat Carolina and then Atlanta wins and they Tampa still

(39:34):
doesn't make it into the playoffs.

Speaker 2 (39:37):
Man, man, there was a time when Baker was like
Baker the MVP. He was sweet playing Brave five. Yeah,
he's playing Gray.

Speaker 5 (39:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (39:44):
Everything was rolling, and now we're at this spot. Obviously,
they lost Evans for a big part of the season.
He's come back and he's played pretty well in the
last two weeks. And I mean early they were ravaged
with injuries, but they were still kind of hanging on.
Then they lost Bucky Irving or Shaw White didn't come
in and do two much for them there. But like
they've just and that insane game that they found a

(40:05):
way to lose a couple of weeks ago.

Speaker 4 (40:08):
Again they went ahead.

Speaker 2 (40:09):
Yeah that was that was an awful one.

Speaker 5 (40:12):
I just.

Speaker 2 (40:14):
It's just another one of those teams. It's not even
a trusting It's like I don't trust them in any way,
shape or form. I know you said dead man walking,
I mean that division. I'm just like, I don't know.
From moment to moment. I feel like of those teams,
Carolina is the one that showed me the most this season.
But yeah, like I don't know, Tampa should not be

(40:37):
in this position. They really shouldn't not. They shouldn't be
based on what we saw early, the fact that you're
talking about hitting a wall, but this hitting a bunch
of rookies hitting a wall. I know, this is just
a team that's just like out of gas entirely. That's right.

Speaker 3 (40:50):
They were six and two, Yeah, now they're seven and
nine football team, and I think they're just buckling under
the weight of losing. You know, they've lost seven of
eight and it is just it's driving them down into
the ground and they they're in this ditch and they
can't like pull themselves out of it. I love Carolina

(41:10):
in this spot, man. I think it's gonna be my
bet of the year. I love Carolina to win this game,
all right. J Martin is steering the ship an hour two.

Speaker 2 (41:18):
Let's go.
