Speaker 3 (01:22):
Good morning everyone, Good morning, good morning. How's everyone going?
Speaker 2 (01:26):
All right? Yeah, yeah, all right, all right, good.
Speaker 1 (01:32):
Hi guys, Eh, what do you what are you so
happy about? There's a lot of casualties in the NFL
bit after yes, no, I mean as soon.
Speaker 2 (01:43):
As we get off the air.
Speaker 3 (01:45):
It's interesting because we've been making our speculations and listen,
it sounded like we were pretty accurate on everything.
Speaker 2 (01:51):
So that's why I'm happy.
Speaker 3 (01:53):
You know, it's good to be accurate about things that
are going to happen, you know, because we're at an
hour where they're planning on doing and executing what it
is that we discuss on the show. So in a way,
while we don't get to be a part of the
breaking news while we're doing our show, because they're probably
(02:15):
sleep and thinking about the aftermath and you know, everything
that comes with the decision that's about to go out
to the media. We get to speculate about it and
then people get to form opinions, and generally speaking, I
think people listen to what we have to say. So
that's pretty cool.
Speaker 1 (02:33):
Kevin Stefanski, Jonathan Gannon, Carrol, as the in laws would say,
that's a rap. I guess the one that is kind
of surprising, just because like the way that it was portrayed,
and I think Albert Breer was, you know, one of
(02:53):
the ones who kind of portrayed it this way, was
that Jonathan Gannon looked like he was going to be safe,
but there's going to be some changes, and then apparently not.
But that's just that's gonna be a wrap and and
Jonathan Gannon moves on. I know Kyler Murray gave him
a shout out on social media, so I don't know.
(03:14):
I just was under the impression that that was gonna
be uh, that that was a safe spot, but apparently not.
Speaker 2 (03:19):
And then Pete Carroll, I mean, boy, that was cool.
Speaker 1 (03:23):
Boy boy, what a what a one year run that
was from Pete Carroll that team stinks.
Speaker 2 (03:29):
For three years.
Speaker 3 (03:31):
Okay, yeah, for what what ten million a year or
something like that, remember.
Speaker 2 (03:37):
Raiders. So so there they go.
Speaker 1 (03:41):
Uh and then obviously Kevin Stefanski got the got the
gift of the New Year. He gets to gets to
leave the Cleveland Browns and and moves on. So I
just I looked at that one and just thought, Kevin
Stefanski's probably looking around going, thank christ Man, I gotta
get out of here, like I got to go.
Speaker 3 (04:01):
I know you guys, let me ask you and Q this.
I know you guys mentioned yesterday. He'll get a job immediately.
They could even trade him if they wanted to, that's
how good he is. But then you start to think,
I want to ask from a layman's term or somebody
that doesn't understand it that way, If you're doing so
(04:21):
poorly that you're going to lose your job, how does
that equate to you getting picked up immediately to be
a head coach somewhere else? Can you guys like just
elaborate on that.
Speaker 4 (04:33):
Yeah, it's really easy.
Speaker 5 (04:34):
Actually, So when you look at a guy who's a
multi time Coach of the Year and you look at
the situation that he's in everyone a wrap, like everyone
in that industry, let's put it that way. They know
what's going on in Cleveland. They understand how bad of
a situation that is, and the fact that they made
(04:54):
it to the playoffs with a fourth string quarterback.
Speaker 4 (04:56):
One year is a miracle.
Speaker 5 (04:59):
It would be like inventing the wheel and then everyone
after the fact, after having you know, a down year
and a very dire circumstance, being like, yeah, but that
guy still invented the wheel. Like it's like it's he's
still pretty darn good at what he does. It'd be
like that equivalent of what he's been able to do
throughout times as a head coach and getting credit for
(05:21):
it like that. It doesn't come around very often where
you become a two time head coach of the year,
especially at that place of all places.
Speaker 2 (05:32):
What do you think?
Speaker 1 (05:33):
I just think that I think people recognize, as Brady said,
what that place is and they've identified that. Yeah, there's
definitely some problems there, but that's not one of them.
Speaker 2 (05:47):
Hmm. Like that guy's not the issue and we would
love to have him.
Speaker 1 (05:53):
Yeah, he's already got three interviews lined up, he's got
Atlanta lined up.
Speaker 2 (05:56):
The Giants are gonna interview him.
Speaker 5 (05:57):
I think he's always This could be wrong too, but
I think he's got more playoff wins since twenty twenty
than Mike Tomlin.
Speaker 2 (06:04):
Oh wow, oh no, that's a hundred percent.
Speaker 4 (06:07):
Right, Yeah, how does that hit you far? Does that
change things for you?
Speaker 2 (06:11):
I don't need anything. I just want.
Speaker 5 (06:14):
I just want right now.
Speaker 2 (06:16):
It sounds like you're no, No, I'm not.
Speaker 3 (06:18):
I just want to put it out there so that
our audience can understand it. I mean, I like for
us to educate our audience, you know what I mean?
So yeah, all right, So so let me ask you
guys this. If the Browns are such a trash can
and dumpster fire, what what do you If you're a
coach and you're someone who is aspiring to be a
(06:40):
head coach in the National Football League.
Speaker 4 (06:42):
It's about money.
Speaker 2 (06:43):
Then it's something.
Speaker 3 (06:44):
Take you go to Cleveland because so so like you
go to Chicago. Chicago was kind of a dumpster fire, right,
Ben Johnson?
Speaker 2 (06:52):
Uh?
Speaker 5 (06:52):
Super Bowl in their history though, you know, like the Browns,
you have so long time ago.
Speaker 2 (06:58):
That's eighty eighty eighty five.
Speaker 4 (07:00):
Okay, LeVar has have the Browns? Everyone a super Bowl.
Speaker 3 (07:03):
They've come close. My man maybe fumbled on the on
the goal line or they you know, Marty and those
guys have have probably wouldn't.
Speaker 2 (07:11):
That was longer ago, Like, buddy, that's way longer. I mean,
well not way longer.
Speaker 4 (07:15):
It's around and ses' longer.
Speaker 5 (07:16):
But I'm saying, like the Bears one one in eighty five,
the Browns never won one one.
Speaker 1 (07:21):
Yeah, you don't count the Ravens too super Bowls as
Brown super Bowls.
Speaker 5 (07:25):
I mean, that is the breast that pains me to
admit that franchise dig, pick up and move.
Speaker 4 (07:31):
And that's in Baltimore now.
Speaker 3 (07:32):
Like you'd like it. Should I have been calling Baltimore
may Flowers. I mean, honestly, shouldn't have been the Mayflowers.
Damn yeah, they should have been the Mayflowers anyway. So
so so, seeing that Deshaun Watson is getting healthy and
ended ended the year on the pet pupp list but
could have possibly been activated. You got perfect timing that
(07:56):
that finished the year with a win. I mean, it's
that line wasn't amazing, but you get nonetheless, you got
Chador Sanders, like like Chicago or you know, Jacksonville. Are
you a coach that says, Wow, I can turn this
(08:17):
around fairly quickly because I have not one quarterback, I
have two. Well, you guys think that will that play
any type of a part? And how excited maybe A
I mean, I know you want to get the money
as a coach, but don't you want to try to
create some longevity because the only thing better than getting
(08:39):
the money is getting more money, right, Like, and you
could get more money by having success in longevity.
Speaker 5 (08:44):
Right They've got a defense, and they've got the defensive
player of the year they do, that's a building block.
Their offensive line isn't bad when healthy that actually that
can be a good unit. And they've got pieces like
there's this is a roster that's not the thirty second roster.
It's not you know, probably the sixteenth ros So it's
probably better than that.
Speaker 4 (09:03):
Honestly.
Speaker 5 (09:04):
It's just the quarterback situation and the fact that you
play in the AFC North, which is, you know, year in,
year out, usually one of the best. This year kind
of a down year for it. But I think next
year with Burrow, if he's you know, still one hundred
percent healthy for the entirety of the season, who knows
if Rogers comes back or not, and then Lamar coming
(09:24):
back like I look at that, I say, it's a
tough division to win.
Speaker 4 (09:28):
So your work is cut out.
Speaker 5 (09:29):
For you in regards to your resume what it's going
to look like, which is one of the reasons why
again going back to Stefanski, who you know, years kind
of flirted with five hundred a couple of times, like
got somewhat close. I went to the playoffs twice, Like yeah,
that's that's that's doing the job. That's getting it done there.
It's not easy to do, but that's what it's attractive.
(09:51):
You do have some personnel there that you can build around,
and outside of that, you've got an owner or too
that you think that he's going to be patient with you.
I mean, Jimmy HASLMS in his past, has gone through
guys after one year, but you you think he would
be patient with you a little bit to at least
give you two or three years to build a thing.
Speaker 2 (10:11):
Let me ask you, guys, this is what's asking.
Speaker 4 (10:15):
You're not really giving your opinion on this.
Speaker 2 (10:16):
Which one because I'm curious which one is.
Speaker 4 (10:20):
The Any thoughts on it?
Speaker 2 (10:22):
Yeah, yeah, I do.
Speaker 1 (10:23):
Well, we're the guys, but you guys are the guys. Yeah, Like,
if you want any info about Browns, you come to Brady.
Speaker 3 (10:30):
Do you guys think that the Jets job is secure
because it didn't happen yesterday? Will it happen? And which
one of these jobs do you guys believe is the
most attractive job? You're stupid bout it?
Speaker 2 (10:42):
Which which job is the most attractive job to.
Speaker 3 (10:47):
Go after? If you're a coach? Which one is the
dream job? Atlanta?
Speaker 5 (10:52):
M Yeah, they're so, They're so talented, if they're healthy,
he's a division to win.
Speaker 4 (11:01):
It's easy to.
Speaker 2 (11:04):
Stefanski in Atlanta.
Speaker 4 (11:06):
That would be fun.
Speaker 1 (11:07):
Like there's some people that are throwing the Giants out there,
and I get it because it's the Giants, But.
Speaker 3 (11:13):
I think the Giants is the most attractive. Actually, I'd
put the Jetty with it. Yeah, I'd put the Giants
up there with it. That the concern is, to at
least to me, is you have to be a believer
in Jackson Dart because if not, you basically have a
year of letting itself play itself out and then having
to like move on and so immediately your first year
(11:35):
could be.
Speaker 4 (11:36):
A little rough.
Speaker 3 (11:37):
Yeah, I think that that is a major piece of it.
But I actually would be excited about having Jackson Dart.
I would be excited about that defense, and I would
be wondering. I would be thinking at add another weapon
on the outside with the receivers and get it back
(11:58):
and obviously you you want to work to I would
be I would still build out if I went to
New York, right, I would want to build my offensive
line and and make sure my offensive line is stout
and sturdy. But get a get a back, find you
a back, and and you know backs haven't been valued
(12:20):
obviously at the level that would would cost you if
you go and get you once. So find you a
really really good back and get another another guy on
the outside. I think that the Giants, as much as
they've struggled and as many coaches as they've run through,
I don't I really don't believe they're that far away
(12:40):
from being a competitive team and the the NFC East.
It's almost like if they had I don't know everything,
if they had a Saint Kwon Barkley. Cool, Yeah, they
had a Sa Kwon Barkley. I think that they would
be maybe a piece or two away from where they
need to be.
Speaker 2 (12:58):
They got Cam scattab but before it's late, they do
they do, and he's coming back.
Speaker 4 (13:02):
They do it to the point of the offensive line.
Speaker 5 (13:06):
Those they had Saquon and you know, he never could
become what he was going to be coming to went
to Philly. Truth, which that's an offensive line. I think
it's one of the top two or three in the league, even.
Speaker 3 (13:18):
After it was in a first balltlet hall of Famer
or at least a Hall of Famer. I don't know
if maybe maybe he isn't, but I don't know what
you guys think. But who Kelsey what Kelsey? Oh he's
he's gonna be a Hall of Famer.
Speaker 2 (13:31):
Yeah, maybe not first bat.
Speaker 4 (13:34):
Well, it doesn't matter to me.
Speaker 2 (13:36):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (13:37):
The general point though, is that offensive line is one
of the best.
Speaker 4 (13:40):
In the league. And so even even if you had.
Speaker 5 (13:43):
A Saquon like to your point of building it up, like,
the offensive line needs to improve to the point where
it is, you know, one of the best. If they
want to really maximize whatever they have in the backfield,
well that's Jackson dartin camp Scotty but together next year
or whoever else they bring in. But yeah, it's just
that's the only reason I'd say that is I think
it's a little tougher division to win.
Speaker 4 (14:02):
I think the roster is in an.
Speaker 5 (14:04):
Interesting spot right now compared to the Falcons, which you
can make the case that both like Pennix and Jackson Dart.
You know, like Dart I think has proven it. It's
just a health concern. For Penis. I don't know that
he's proven it yet, but it's there's definitely some health
concern there.
Speaker 4 (14:20):
He has issue.
Speaker 3 (14:21):
I don't believe he has, and I do think that
that's the bigger question.
Speaker 2 (14:24):
Mark out of the two quarterbacks is Michael Pennis. They
were better with Cousins. They were better with Cousins.
Speaker 3 (14:31):
They were better with Cousins, and Cousins was brought there
to be the starter. But if we're talking long term again,
now the question becomes you drafted and and I think
you did bring this up yesterday, Q.
Speaker 2 (14:44):
You drafted Pinnis, and I think they.
Speaker 3 (14:49):
They may be the weight of bringing in Pinnis, knowing
that you had already took the contract that you did
from Cousins to be the starter, you end up going
with Pennis as the start. Harder Penix doesn't live out,
you know what the expectation was for that draft pick
that you could have used on someone else to make
your team that much better. And he's not only not
(15:13):
he's still unproven at this point, but doesn't make it
down the stretch and Kirk Cousins comes in and plays well. Yeah,
I think those are a lot of elements that played
a part in that. But moving forward, what does that mean?
Because that still creates complexities in terms of what you're
going to do. His cousin's going to be back. If
(15:34):
he's not back, what is Penix represent to the equation?
Speaker 5 (15:38):
What's complex about it is Penix is going into year
three and after year three you have to really make
that decision on the fifth year option, and more than likely,
if you really believe in the guy, an extension. But
in this case, because he hasn't played enough, I would
say it's a huge year to see what you have
in Michael Pennix before moving on from him. So most
likely you know they'll they'll he'll have to start this
(16:00):
upcoming year. Hopefully he's healthy in time, but they'll have
to see what they have in him, get you know,
give up a top ten pick to take him to
then see if they need to financially invest in him following.
Speaker 4 (16:11):
The off season between twenty twenty six twenty twenty seven.
Speaker 5 (16:15):
So I would imagine that at least how it was
looked at before, and this might be different now that
my Bryan's in there and he's playing a role or
an advisory role to Arthur Blank, because we saw Rich
McKay got you know, fired as well, and he really
was the one above all of it. He was above
Terry Fonn knew he was above Rahee Morris. Those were
(16:37):
his hires. If you recall, it was Rich McKay and
some of the others within the front office who wanted
to push Arthur Blank away.
Speaker 4 (16:43):
From interviewing Bill Belichick.
Speaker 5 (16:46):
So I think with what he's watched the past couple
of years, now Arthur Blank's looking at.
Speaker 4 (16:51):
Saying like, I'm done with this. I want to move on.
That's why I clean slate.
Speaker 5 (16:55):
Well, that's the head coach, general manager, you know, Rich McKay,
someone of that, you know president position too, they're all gone.
I bring in Matt Ryan. I trust Matt Ryan, who's
a player here. He's going to help advise me of
what this all is going to look like moving forward.
And now this should work. So that that's where the
Falcons are heading and what games.
Speaker 3 (17:15):
Do you think in that that type of like, how
does that work out? It's Matty Ice, how does he
is it just because he played there?
Speaker 5 (17:23):
Just because he's a player there, and I think he's
respected amongst the organization.
Speaker 4 (17:27):
And if you look at what Chris.
Speaker 5 (17:28):
Spielman's done in Detroit, it's a very similar model in
that respect.
Speaker 2 (17:33):
So, but don't you.
Speaker 3 (17:34):
Feel like like the Spilman family, liked to me, comes
across as a family of like they're knowledgeable about the
buildouts of an organization, of a personnel and stuff like that.
Matt's family very much is too okay. And that's why
I'm mad. He's like, what is that? What is it?
What gives him the background or what gives him the
(17:57):
credibility of that being what? Because because ultimately, these are
the types of decisions that say is this a is
this a high functioning organization? Like making him a decision
like that, is it a high functioning organization decision?
Speaker 2 (18:11):
Or is that a sentimental decision?
Speaker 3 (18:14):
Because the first thing you said, Jonas was he might
he's Maddie Ice, like, that's not that doesn't screen highly
functioning organization?
Speaker 2 (18:23):
That's the decision that doesn't get you in the door.
Speaker 4 (18:25):
No, it shouldn't. Let me just say this though.
Speaker 5 (18:28):
Outside of that, there is no guarantee and this means
anything other than just, you know, Matt Ryan being put
in position where he feels like he can help, and
I was with blank believes he can help, and.
Speaker 4 (18:39):
That's how they're trying to build this. Yeah, but outside
of that, no, I mean I could tell you.
Speaker 2 (18:43):
His uncle was.
Speaker 5 (18:44):
I think he was a professor who helped out University
of Penn. I went there for like an NFL you
know program they had at Penn, and I remember him
being like, oh, yeah, that's uncle. Okay, super sharp guy.
I'm like, gosh, this guy's is obviously gonna be an
incredible advisor, you know, to Matt throughout the course of
his career. And there's a bunch of people who were like,
you know, a part of his family or involved that.
(19:05):
Super super sharp folks.
Speaker 3 (19:07):
He's super Sharpi's experience.
Speaker 5 (19:11):
So he's been raised the right way. I think he's
got a network around him that can help too. And
does he have experience absolutely not know outside of being
an analyst for a little bit now and after he
got done playing which you played for a long time.
You know that's gonna be what he's going to base
that off of, and that's not a bad thing. Like
as a quarterback, oftentimes, you know, you look at things
(19:32):
differently than other players. You know, you look at how
you're building a roster when you have discussions with your
offensive coordinator or your head coach if he's an offensive
minor guy. You're watching tape on guys who are in
the draft, and you're saying, hey, have you seen this guy?
Have you seen this guy? Because even throughout the course
of the season, like you're always watching like different like
college tape to see different concepts and plays that.
Speaker 4 (19:54):
Are being run.
Speaker 5 (19:55):
Like I can't, I can't explain the amount of tape
that's watched from that one position because it dwarfs any
other position in football because of the manner in which
you're going.
Speaker 4 (20:04):
To prepare and help game plan. You know, you're you're.
Speaker 5 (20:07):
Going out there with plays, You're going out there with
different ideas, You're going out there with different tweaks on things.
So a lot oftentimes you're still even watching some college
tape even though you're in the NFL, to come up
with ideas and you'll see players like there's different examples
of guys you know, looking at looking for different guys,
but you're also looking for, like scouting, who would make
sense in what you need. So it's just quarterbacks have
(20:29):
always been prepared for jobs that are like within the
executive you know, an executive branch of any company, just
because of all the things you're asked to do as
a quarterback. How you're able to ask to present yourself
to the media, present yourself to the organization. How you're
asked to be a leader and stand up in front
of the room, the room, to lead meetings, to go
throughout you know, leading a team, and all that stuff.
(20:51):
Like it's all, you know, very very conducive for.
Speaker 4 (20:54):
What you're being asked to be as an executive.
Speaker 3 (20:58):
So what you're saying is, Wow, you're choked and clearing
your throat out. What you're saying is is that you're
in in the pipeline too to be that type of
guy to somebody wh's organizations better than us.
Speaker 2 (21:10):
Yeah, Brady's better than.
Speaker 3 (21:13):
Why he does talking on the show because he's he's
the quarterback.
Speaker 5 (21:16):
Are you going to get that you've talked more than
anyone on the show is so far today, No, I've
asked questions.
Speaker 6 (21:22):
I'm not it's still been the most it's been long
winded questions.
Speaker 2 (21:27):
Has it really.
Speaker 5 (21:30):
Really I'm just saying his propation, which I think he's
prepared for it.
Speaker 3 (21:34):
Yeah, you could be unaware. I mean, I thought it
was a great explanation.
Speaker 7 (21:39):
You know.
Speaker 3 (21:39):
Yeah, we're all team quarterbacks though, we're all a team.
But basically what he just said is we're a team
that has to understand he's the quarterback.
Speaker 2 (21:49):
That's right, Okay, all right, where there you go.
Speaker 4 (21:51):
I'm just telling you how quarterbacks are prepared.
Speaker 2 (21:53):
Hey, look, and how they're wired proofs in the pudding.
Speaker 1 (21:55):
Troy Aikman's helping out the Dolphins, the Brady's helping out
the Raiders. That Ryan's helping out the Falcons. Here you go,
played quarterback's health. Rivers just come out and said he
could coach the NFL. So he wants it on.
Speaker 2 (22:06):
It and it got reported, it got picked up.
Speaker 1 (22:11):
The QB World out there.
Speaker 3 (22:14):
By the way, they hired Jeff Saturday to be the
head coach. I'm just saying, and he won that first game,
all right, now, he did first game he did.
Speaker 5 (22:23):
There was no one who was more on his coat
tails in Levar's so.
Speaker 4 (22:28):
Bad to work out?
Speaker 2 (22:30):
Well, I was combative.
Speaker 4 (22:33):
You got combative after that win when we were like, yeah,
this isn't gonna work out. Hear none of it.
Speaker 3 (22:39):
I'm pro player, I'm propriate. But I wanted him. I
wanted him, No, you're pro QB. I wanted him. I
wanted him to be successful because I'm pro player, and
I don't discriminate. You know, I don't sit there and say,
you know all of the things you just said about
your position group. I just speak on the entirety of
all of us as players. That's that was why I
(23:01):
wanted that to watch.
Speaker 5 (23:02):
So it was like when the quarterbacks are saying they're
late to watch film and different things, or like even
when you're at home watching stuff, but I know, I
don't see all the guys doing that, Like when you
pull up early and you don't see anyone else in
the parking lot or no one else in the film room.
Like you're going all right, Like it's just different, there's
nothing wrong.
Speaker 3 (23:20):
It's all about vantage It's all about vantage points, that's all.
Speaker 2 (23:23):
And I don't want to debate.
Speaker 5 (23:25):
Like it's a more mental position than physical. So it's
just there's there's.
Speaker 3 (23:30):
You can look at the body types and the athletic
ability of the position group and no, it's more. It
has to be more mental. Yeah, I mean, you couldn't
just come off of the street and play other positions.
Speaker 6 (23:43):
I'll say this, guys, I'm pro Brady quinn Ah Patrick.
Speaker 2 (23:48):
Well, that's what we just said. Pat, Damn, that's what
we just said. Damn a kiss ass.
Speaker 3 (23:54):
It should be fifteen dollars pass, should be first. That's
a ten dollars five first, should be double.
Speaker 2 (24:08):
Sixties in the new year.
Speaker 1 (24:10):
Come on like leading with the helmet and a throat
slash gesture afterwards.
Speaker 5 (24:14):
I don't know, like, I don't know what that was,
what you feel like warranted that. I don't know if
there's like something social media. I don't know what's going on.
Speaker 3 (24:22):
There were certainly other players in the building early and
leaving late, other than the quarterbacks, by the way, I mean,
what what an elitist conversation and and and state.
Speaker 5 (24:35):
Because I didn't I never was around made defensive players
who stayed late enough toward the game.
Speaker 3 (24:41):
Maybe you just didn't see them, you know, it's like perspective.
Maybe you just didn't notice that they were there because
I know some pretty pretty sharp dudes that played on
the defensive side of the ball.
Speaker 2 (24:54):
And we're there, you know, and they were there.
Speaker 3 (24:58):
Okay, we're there, I mean, and that's to say, like,
you know, how many quarterbacks we're doing that? I mean,
that wasn't really my experience with the quarterbacks that I
was around.
Speaker 2 (25:11):
You didn't have the right quarterback you do, now, all right?
I will leave that one a low. If I was
in a key key.
Speaker 3 (25:20):
Mode, I would have knocked that one out of the park.
But I'm gonna leave that would alone. Come on, let's
go to break.
Speaker 1 (25:26):
It is a two pros and a couple of Joe
Tuesday here on Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 2 (25:30):
So we are going to have the usuals coming up later.
I'm gonna get another edition.
Speaker 3 (25:33):
Out of Brady's contract. God, that's what I would to
do this conversation. I want to know what Brady's contract.
Speaker 1 (25:40):
So I got Dean Blandino stopping by. We've got the leftovers.
All of it is yours here on this three hour
extrapagans up next. Though he's back, we think a potential
return in the world of football.
Speaker 2 (25:52):
We'll get into that for you. Right here on FSR. Hey, everybody,
the big game is almost here. That's right.
Speaker 3 (25:58):
Regular season is done. It's the big boys time now, right,
that's right. The league's best players are going to line
up against each other.
Speaker 2 (26:07):
These players are made of grit, drive, a whole lot
of heart.
Speaker 3 (26:12):
And the original Louisiana Hot Sauce is made of real
good stuff too. Only three simple ingredients peppery peppers, vinegar, vinegar,
salty salt. They blend together to make a type of
sauce that changes games. Use it to dress your wings,
your pizza, even your gumbo, and time seems to slow down,
(26:34):
which means it's more enjoyable. Impossible plays just look so
easy to you. And there's just something it can't quite
put your finger on. But boy, when it hits your tongue,
then you figure it out. You're chewing on something well
by you, beautiful, by beautiful.
Speaker 2 (26:57):
Yeah, there it is.
Speaker 3 (27:00):
Original Louisiana Hot Sauce has a championship pedigree from almost
one hundred years and it's got no signs of slowing down.
So will we ever see Louisiana legacy and this delicious uh,
this delicious product again? I don't think so, But you
can get it into original Louisiana Hot sauce, so why
(27:20):
I look for another one?
Speaker 2 (27:21):
All right?
Speaker 3 (27:22):
It's made of championship level stuff, like I said, Pepper's
vinegar and salt, and that's why it's Louisiana Hot and
that's why.
Speaker 2 (27:29):
You should buy you soon.
Speaker 8 (27:32):

Speaker 2 (29:48):
Yeah, through a court.
Speaker 5 (29:49):
We're not getting you to Ireland for I'm not sure
we're getting you to South Ben, Indiana.
Speaker 1 (29:52):
All right.
Speaker 2 (29:53):
Oh wow, I'm just saying, jeez, oh wow. All right, man,
a hard right hand. Although it was it was very low,
you know.
Speaker 5 (30:05):
Well, I'm just saying, like there's a lot like I
felt like a speech, felt like a speaker.
Speaker 4 (30:09):
I think that was a part of that helped out.
So we gotta you.
Speaker 3 (30:14):
Know, I had passport issues, man, like, it is what
it is. I thought I had it and I didn't.
I didn't get it at time. Sorry, it wasn't my fault.
I mean maybe it was.
Speaker 5 (30:26):
It's it's equally as hard maybe to get to South
Bend from where you're at.
Speaker 3 (30:29):
Probably I can get to State college probably be a.
Speaker 2 (30:34):
I don't need a passport to get to South Ben. Sorry.
Speaker 3 (30:39):
Anyways, that's great transition to college though, I mean the
South Bend, you know.
Speaker 2 (30:43):
Notre Dame. You know, they're just there where Penn State
is for this year. So let's play offs.
Speaker 1 (30:49):
Ole Miss In Trinidad Chandlers Trinidad James.
Speaker 2 (30:53):
Yeah, we wanna, we want a bowl game.
Speaker 3 (30:56):
Y'all didn't play in one's Yeah, you guys are in
oiled and controversial conversations about being too scared to play USC.
Speaker 2 (31:04):
We were just talking about our new head coach, that's all,
you know. That was it. I do know this, That
was it.
Speaker 4 (31:10):
Yeah, we're talking about your head coaching search for.
Speaker 2 (31:12):
A while, not too long, not as long as actually
not as long as the USC. Notre Dame you know debacle,
you know, Notre Dame not wanting to play USC.
Speaker 3 (31:25):
And their week schedule and uh.
Speaker 4 (31:29):
Well so weaker than Penn States.
Speaker 3 (31:31):
Oh no, we got a week scheduled next year. Yeah,
we don't play Michigan or Ohio State next year.
Speaker 2 (31:39):
I'm happy about it. Give my man one year to
get his feet wet at least.
Speaker 1 (31:44):
Thoughts on the report from rosstellenjury yesterday. I think he
was the first one to get in on this quarterback
Trinidad Chambliss, Trinidad Jiangs. Last scene is a rapper, last
scene putting on a show against Georgia for Old Miss.
He's agreed to a new deal with Old me his
contingent on him having his eligibility waiver request request granted.
Sources tell Yahoo's school officials are hoping this week for
(32:07):
a resolution to the waiver seeking a six year. His
dad told us that he's quote confident. So in the
midst of a college football playoff semi final run and
an epic story, we've got this that that did. That
is part of the conversation with Tredydad Chandlers, so building.
Speaker 2 (32:25):
Quite the name for himself, that's for certain. Maybe he'll
be back.
Speaker 1 (32:30):
Optimistic that he's going to get this cleared and he'll
be back for a six year, that this is going
to go down or no.
Speaker 5 (32:38):
I mean, I think it's like a legal opinion, right,
that's ultimately when it comes down to he Uh, there's
a lot of thought that the NCAA is trying to
put some sort of cap on eligibility within college football now,
and they've talked about getting rid of the red shirt
rule and just having five years of eligibility, which seems
(32:58):
like that's getting a lot of momentary So in this case,
he's he's trying to go for his six I have
to look back through his history.
Speaker 4 (33:06):
He was at Fairris State obviously before he.
Speaker 5 (33:07):
Came to Old miss And what is is being debated
in some circles is like the JUCO year, whether or
not a JUCO year or like a prep school year
should potentially count. Usually prep schools have not, but jucos
have counted against eligibility, and there's a big wave of
players who have played a year at JUCO or saying like, hey, man,
(33:27):
like I don't want this to count against my eligibility
at this level. It doesn't feel like the same level.
You know, you're not really getting paid in JUCO versus
what we're experiencing now. So I believe he's trying to
push for that now, don't. I don't know if he's
ever been in a JUCO. I'd have to look back through.
I just know he was a fair State beforehanded Division two,
(33:48):
really really good player, and obviously he's he's been incredible
in this playoff run and really the season. So if
you're the I mean, if you're his agent, if you're
trying to add Sean West, like why not, like why
not try try it? I mean if he doesn't get it,
he can you know, go on and get drafted into
the NFL. This is a draft class that I don't
know if Dante Moor is coming out based on his
(34:10):
social media post, Fernando Mendoza is gonna be one of
the guys at the top. I don't know if ty
Simpson's gonna leave or not. There's some discussions about him
maybe coming back. If he does come back, does he
go to Bama, dos he goes somewhere else? He could
hit the transfer portal, but he's trying to get a
grade on what he thinks he'll be drafted at. I mean,
it's it's the exact opposite. And we talked to Pete
(34:32):
Prisco about yesterday. This was supposed to be a great
quarterback draft class and it's looking like anything but for
the season. So maybe it would make sense if he
doesn't get the waiver to go back and get draft
because someone's gonna take him.
Speaker 3 (34:44):
So so what it is is he he had a
he's exhausted as four years of eligibility as clock, but
the waiver requests stems from twenty twenty two where he
played two games. But I guess he was unable to
continue because of a severe respiratory illness and and so,
(35:06):
and it required surgery. So I think he's basing the
waiver off of that twenty twenty two season to basically
take away that medical ride shirt year or something to
that effect.
Speaker 1 (35:20):
The fact that this is even a conversation while they're
trying to win a national championship is bonkers, Like I don't, like,
it doesn't make any sense, Like I just I'm sorry,
it doesn't make any sense. Like nobody going into into
the postseason is you know, having to announce like, hey,
you know, we'll be back, you know next year, Like
it's no, no, well, we'll get to that after the season.
(35:41):
We'll focus after the season. They're in the middle of
their season. This still is a conversation. It's like the
bo Perbula stuff last year. I just I don't get it.
Speaker 2 (35:49):
I don't know why.
Speaker 4 (35:50):
I don't really understand why he wouldn't get the waiver.
Speaker 5 (35:53):
I think if you look at his career, he didn't
even play his first year in twenty twenty two, as
you're kind of pointing out, he only I mean, I
guess he played in eight games in twenty twenty three,
he only started one.
Speaker 4 (36:07):
I mean, there's there's definitely.
Speaker 5 (36:08):
Something to be said because I don't even know if
he played like nowadays, you could play four games right
at the FBS level and still maintain your red shirt,
and that those four games actually could be more if
you're a team that has a team that gets in
the playoff and goes on a deep run, because the
postseason games don't count.
Speaker 2 (36:25):
I don't, so you could, I.
Speaker 5 (36:27):
Mean theoretically go through you know, four more games on
that play eight games, starting eight games, hell and and
those not even count against your eligibility.
Speaker 4 (36:38):
He's really he's really only.
Speaker 5 (36:40):
Started and played one year of Farris in twenty twenty four,
and this past season, old miss I would think he's
he's gonna get a nut Sherer year of eligibility. But
I also wonder where they have him on his you know,
draft grade, because he's again he's played really well this year.
Speaker 3 (36:57):
Like I said, I think he's building quite quite the
name for himself with with this run. I mean, especially
with with the upset you know, last last week and
and them being able to pull it out against Georgia,
and he was he was a major part of that.
So you asked, why is that a conversation now? It's
because his profile has gone up and and that makes
(37:19):
for for interesting media to talk about someone who you
you look at as I mean, he's a he's a
player that's created stardom in this playoff run.
Speaker 2 (37:31):
Like if he goes on a heater all of a sudden,
yeah that you know, well he has started he has
started it to be a heater. You remember Cardi L. Jones.
Speaker 1 (37:40):
Yeah, Like, there's a lot of people who were saying
he would have been a first round pick if he
had come out just after that year and he decided
to come back, but because of how he played in
those big games. But yeah, it's it's a crazy time
for college football. But you know, we'll have more on
that throughout the course of the show. It is two
Pros and a Cup of Joe here on Fox Sports Radio,
LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas NOx with you coming up
(38:02):
next here though, we are going to have another edition
of in case you missed it right here on FSR.
Speaker 2 (38:06):
Haha.
Speaker 3 (38:07):
Wow, Okay, let's think about this. We told y'all a
whole lot about pizza before the Hut Challenge with quarterbacks,
and we've had a lot of quarterback conversation during this show. Well,
Pizza Hut has another message for fans. All Right, don't
forget to order pizza Hut before the first hut is yelled.
Speaker 2 (38:31):
And here's the move. The Big New Yorker. It is
their biggest pizza, super big for the biggest games. It's massive,
like my man Jonas Knox. Now I'm talking about the
slices so big you have to fold them like true
New york In why slices? Who?
Speaker 3 (38:54):
I had to take a breath after that. I don't
blame you. Yeah, they're huge. I mean right now, they're
just ten bucks. It's just ten bucks, Lorena. So before
that first hut hut, order the biggest pizza for biggest games. Yeah,
that's right, Grab the Big New Yorker and your set
(39:16):
for the whole game. That's a whole lot of pizza
to last an entire game. What's your game day pizza
Hut order?
Speaker 7 (39:24):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (39:24):
I get me the Big New Yorker, some jalapenos, onions,
throw it on there, maybe a pineapple if I'm feeling
festive and I fold that bad boy?
Speaker 2 (39:34):
Do you fool George? Lorena? Heck? Yeah, what do you
do with your Big New Yorker pat? I ate it?
Yes you do, and you get that that seet it
right now? He gets that pizza sauce ring around his mouth,
and you don't get one around yours too.
Speaker 3 (39:50):
Big game this weekend, don't forget pizza before the Hut.
Order the Big New Yorker early, don't wait, It's just ten.
Speaker 8 (40:01):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Errington, and

Two Pros and a Cup of Joe, Fox Sports Radio,
LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you here coming
off top of next hour. A little over ten minutes
from now, we are going to tell you about somebody

Speaker 2 (40:52):
Good thing the guys are here to bring you in
case you.
Speaker 1 (40:56):
Missed it, And for that we turn it over to
our executive producer, the one only Patrick sweek A Patty Speedo.
Speaker 2 (41:03):
Hi, be bardic cowboy? What's going on? VGI? What's buddy?
What is up? Guy? I didn't know this show was
the Odd Couple.
Speaker 3 (41:13):
So if you're if you're walking us stream live, you
know we're we're actually two pros and a couple Joe
not not the Odd Couple?
Speaker 6 (41:20):
Oh god, okay, all right, well and you didn't do it.
In case you missed it, guys. DK Metcalf has responded
to the media. They asked him about a fan altercation
he had, and oh boy, he seemed the only and
phase to talk about it. Give a listen here.
Speaker 2 (41:36):
Can you explain to us what happened in Detroit? You
had to be the one to ask him, No, I can't.
There nothing like the appeals and talking with the nflogist.
Can you walk us through that process? Okay, walk nothing
to happen?
Speaker 3 (41:50):
Were surprised if the appeal?
Speaker 2 (41:53):
Yeah, but that's all I respect. You don't and can't
really go into a lot of it. Is there anything
would like to clarify about misinformation? You know, I can't
say nothing about what happened.
Speaker 3 (42:08):
I can't say anything about what happened for the fifth time. Yikes?
Speaker 4 (42:14):
Why why was that good sound?
Speaker 2 (42:16):
Pat anything?
Speaker 3 (42:19):
I think that's why good sound sounds like a total
a hold yes me, like seconds that I don't understand,
Like it's pretty simple what took place? Like why not
apologize maybe for hurting the team potentially, you know, we
lost the game.
Speaker 2 (42:39):
And is there a uh?
Speaker 1 (42:41):
Is like has there been any sort of filing from
the guy who he roughed up? Like is he trying
to you know, do a civil suit? Yeah, that's what
because maybe that's why he's been.
Speaker 3 (42:52):
I felt like that was probably might be because he
already lost his appeal from the NFL, right, so if
he's not talking about it, it's that's probably potentially what
it is. I was trying to get some cash. Oh yeah, okay.
He held a press conference about.
Speaker 9 (43:05):
It with a backwards cap, like, come on, be serious, hi, DK,
come out, tell them it was yes, a suit and
a backwards and backwards that's an interesting look.
Speaker 1 (43:17):
Tell them, DK, Tell them he's like, my family's been involved. Well,
you don't get involved, then they're threatening us.
