Give this party you're listening to Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 3 (00:49):
Levar's is definitely better. Jonas is getting though a little bit.
Speaker 4 (00:53):
Yeah, how does this go with this song?
Speaker 3 (01:04):
Every single how does.
Speaker 4 (01:07):
How does this song go? With the Rick Rude? I'm like,
what made you think? What made you think?
Speaker 3 (01:20):
We don't know how it happened.
Speaker 5 (01:21):
I think we just didn't want to get out of
the chair, so the most erotic thing we could do
in the chair was just turn your hips and up
The studio chairs back in Sherman Oaks are so destroyed.
Speaker 3 (01:32):
Oh that has advertised we're just just spinning.
Speaker 6 (01:37):
Do I need to tip you guys for that?
Speaker 3 (01:44):
God? You know, by the way, speaking away, seth Rawlins
is over there.
Speaker 5 (01:50):
Another w w e legend Sou're starting to start filling
a little bit.
Speaker 3 (01:55):
They're always smaller in person. Where's seth Rawlins? Who's seth? Wrongly?
Wrestlers got to look smaller than man. Yeah, oh man.
Speaker 7 (02:03):
By the way, Man just a big dude, like he
Here's the thing that.
Speaker 1 (02:08):
Is always so funny to me, is you see like
these wrestlers whatever other sports. Every every single time I
see someone person, I was like, man, you're not tall.
I thought you were, Like, oh man, you were bigger
than I thought. I'm like, yeah, dude, we're football players.
Like I don't know how, I don't know how people
approach you, but it's like people for some reason don't
think football players are as big as they were, Like
(02:29):
they're massive human beings.
Speaker 8 (02:31):
By the way, I did some guy asked you, we
asked for your autograph just because he assumed you were
you were somebody. Last night there was some guy who
asked you for your autograph.
Speaker 3 (02:41):
No, he said my name?
Speaker 8 (02:42):
Okay, Well then maybe that was Dave Weiese, who was
being as smart ask being like oh I don't even
think he knew who he was.
Speaker 1 (02:48):
And I was like, oh, okay, well yeah, it sounds
like some would say, yeah, I got.
Speaker 7 (02:53):
They're like, I think that's Laurier and the one he
came around, he's like LaVar, so can you sign it?
Speaker 3 (02:59):
But does that happen to you where people come up
they're bigger than you know what I get? I get.
I think I could take you. Really for the longest time,
That's why.
Speaker 7 (03:09):
That's why I used to get at the and it
was really like, you know I do because I've done
radio a long time.
Speaker 3 (03:14):
I used to do a lot of.
Speaker 7 (03:17):
A lot of remotes from from from restaurants and you know,
we beat there for a little bit and they be
around you.
Speaker 3 (03:23):
They'd be like, you know, I think I could take you.
I got it. I got that. That was what I
got the most at sports bars. I think I could
take you.
Speaker 1 (03:31):
You know what's funny to me too, is as you
get older and you know, you become a dad, you
kind of get out amongst you know, people that you're
not around, like NFL football players every day and you hear, guys,
I tweaked my back getting out of the car right right,
you know, I was. We're doing some of my daughter
and I rolled my ankle and I'm like, dude, you
know how fast, you would get your ass beat like
(03:52):
a professional athlete. Like it's it's a different type of
training and intensity. Like I don't think it's like a
switch is different.
Speaker 7 (03:59):
I just I says it's always It's like when you
see a wild animal walking, you know, it's like looks
so peaceful, like okay, yeah, well and then you found
out I'm tried to get that. You tried to get
that that beer, some some popcorn, and then you found.
Speaker 3 (04:16):
Out you were the popcorn. Damn right, yeah you go.
Speaker 8 (04:19):
The only thing better than popcorn is some Pizza Hut.
Because here's a key order pizza before the QB shouts
the first big New Yorker's got those giant foldable slices.
Right now, it's just ten bucks, the biggest pizza for
the biggest games, only at Pizza Hut. And with that
we welcome in the man himself. You talk about a
wild animal they should not be trifled with. Yes, this
(04:40):
man could take down Wider Doc holiday Ike, Johnny Ringo,
anybody on the set of Tombstone could get that work.
Speaker 3 (04:52):
Yeah. He's the one and only.
Speaker 8 (04:53):
Petros Papadakis, the co host of the Petros and Money Show,
which you can hear on Baby the Blowtorch and five
to seven LA Sports, Fox College football analysts get him
on X at the Old p and he's our good buddy, Petro,
Good morning.
Speaker 9 (05:07):
Good morning, Hello Hill. How's it going out at the
super Bowl? You know, big, big space that many people here?
Speaker 10 (05:17):
You guys are in the city.
Speaker 3 (05:19):
Yeah, yes, we're on media road by ourselves.
Speaker 10 (05:23):
It is an easy place to get caught up though.
Speaker 3 (05:25):
Oh you really up here right?
Speaker 9 (05:28):
Like, you know, it's not it's not the same as
the super Bowl being in Minneapolis or Jacksonville. Like the
city has pitfalls like New Orleans or Atlanta.
Speaker 3 (05:38):
They call it the tender Longing pitfall.
Speaker 9 (05:40):
The loin might get you. Yeah, I heard that things
are a lot better up there than.
Speaker 3 (05:44):
They were told you that they were lying.
Speaker 11 (05:48):
That's what everybody said. Yeah, Petros, I said this to
these guys. They had the super Bowl here, what ten
years ago? Yeah, I can't believe it's been that long,
but it was. It seemed like the city was in
a better place then.
Speaker 3 (06:01):
Wow.
Speaker 9 (06:03):
Okay, I mean that's that's disappointing news because everybody's talking
about how great the new mayor is. I got to
be honest. I used to be in that city two
three times a year and loved every minute of it
and think of it as a very special place. And
there's all kinds of different places in that city that
are really special to me and my family. My dad
(06:23):
a restaurant tour. There's a lot of great restaurants, and
San Francisco is still still has kind of the style
of an East Coast dining count, or at least it
used to. And it's unfortunate that it sucks so bad.
But I haven't been in the city in forever, Like
I have not been in the city in a long
ass time, so I just have to take people's words
(06:46):
for it. And it feels like it's still filled with
poop and needles.
Speaker 10 (06:50):
I hate to hear it.
Speaker 1 (06:51):
Oh, here's a tough thing to compared to is you know,
we're in a district that, apparently, from what I'm being told,
is prevalent with that or known for that.
Speaker 3 (07:00):
Like outside of that, it's not quite as bad. But
unfortunately that's all we've had.
Speaker 10 (07:04):
It's not a big town, you know.
Speaker 9 (07:06):
I mean, you got your loin, you got the hate,
you got the Presidio, you got the Marca Darol, you
got the commercial district and all of Chinatown, I mean
North Beach.
Speaker 10 (07:17):
It's all like one alley away from each other.
Speaker 9 (07:20):
There's not that much room to operate, so when it's
filled with poop and needles, it's not easy.
Speaker 8 (07:27):
Now, Petros, your time at Berkeley, how often were you
able to get out here or is there a big
offen too.
Speaker 9 (07:35):
Because if you're well, there is a difference. There's a
huge difference in weather. You know, it's just the weirdest thing.
Like you could be over in Berkeley and then you
go to the other side of the Bay and it's
a fifteen degree difference, like in the summer.
Speaker 10 (07:49):
So that was always kind of a trip to me.
Speaker 9 (07:52):
But because of the public transit out there, the Bart
Bay Area rapid transit could get under the bay quite easily.
The Bart goes under the bay, so uh yeah, the Bart.
Speaker 10 (08:07):
You could go.
Speaker 9 (08:08):
Uh you know, there's that movie about the fruit Vale
Station in Oakland. You know, it's a there's a Bart
incident in that one. You know what they did say,
I played on the radio a Super Bowls coming to
San Francisco local news piece up there, and they said
for the super Bowl week on the Bart, they got
(08:29):
longer trainsike longer train.
Speaker 3 (08:35):
I mean I must, I'm must stay I have such
I'm just.
Speaker 9 (08:39):
Saying you would assume they would have a longer train
for the super Bowl.
Speaker 10 (08:42):
There's more people to service.
Speaker 3 (08:44):
There, definitely is. Did they have a curfew at Berkeley?
Did they still have a curfew at Berkeley? I thought
there was like a curfew for if. Yeah.
Speaker 9 (08:56):
My first day at Cal, I had like a little
outfit that my girlfriend had laid out and the whole deal,
and I was all excited and I started walking to
class and I saw a guy in an underwear only
underwear shimmy up over by the library, Bancroft Library at
(09:17):
cow By say their gate, I saw a guy shimmy
up the American flag and lighted on fire. Oh wow,
I said, you know what, I'm going to change my clothes.
Speaker 3 (09:28):
Wow. Uh, Berkeley, how did that impact you?
Speaker 10 (09:31):
I mean, it just made me realize.
Speaker 3 (09:33):
That's clearly burnt into your memory.
Speaker 9 (09:35):
Right, this is a different place. I mean I saw
a few things in my couple months in Berkeley. There's
another thing right at that same area that I saw
a guy, a hippie on a bicycle on like a
ten speed flying down the hill. Because you know, Berkeley's
on it, like it's one big incline all the way
up to the stadium at Strawberry Canyon where the stadium
where they play Memorial Stadium, great place. And this hippie
(09:59):
was flying down the hill on a ten speed and
blew up this Asian student who was holding must have
been like twenty five reams of paper, and he just
blew her up, and like I thought, he killed. Like
the paper went everywhere. I had never seen such a
collision in my life, and on the football field, not anywhere,
(10:20):
not even in a high speed chase. And that made
the Berkeley Paper the next day. But Col's a very
interesting place. It's kind of a the town does go
to sleep LeVar. Oh, not because there's a curfew. It's
just because you know, most of the people are students
and they're studying their.
Speaker 10 (10:37):
Ass off, so there's a lot of that.
Speaker 9 (10:40):
There's a lot of late night eating, not a lot
of late night drinking, okay, if you know what I mean.
Speaker 3 (10:46):
But oh, okayt Yeah, there's a lot of.
Speaker 9 (10:49):
People around Col that are just weirdos and freaks, because
that's what that area in Berkeley's all about. Oftentimes they're
not associated with the university.
Speaker 3 (11:00):
Okay, I've got a question for you.
Speaker 1 (11:04):
It's surprising to me, for as much success as SC
has had traditionally and obviously quarterbacks, wing Heisman's and all that,
Sam Donald will be the first, wonderful not mistaken to
win a Super Bowl?
Speaker 3 (11:14):
Is that accurate?
Speaker 9 (11:16):
He'd be the first guy to play and play well, Okay,
to start a Super Bowl. There was in the very first,
which is amazing, right, It's incredible when you when you
actually think about the influence of California quarterbacks, Southern Calm
in particular, and then how many greats they've had that
this would be the first time.
Speaker 1 (11:35):
Like that blows my mind. It's like remember when Alabama's like,
oh they haven't had Heisman Trophy winning. You're like wait, what,
Like mark Ingram was the first one ever in the
storied history of Alabama.
Speaker 3 (11:44):
Like that sort of stuff blows my mind.
Speaker 9 (11:47):
USC in the very first Super Bowl for Kansas City,
USC had a guy, beth third middle named Falconer. You know,
you know the Bethards, the people. One of them was
a quarterback. I think they had a.
Speaker 8 (12:04):
Tragedy as Bethard his brother at yeah, at a bar
i forget where it was at.
Speaker 3 (12:11):
Yeah, he get stabbed in Nashville.
Speaker 8 (12:13):
I think I think it was in Nashville.
Speaker 9 (12:15):
Yeah, this guy Bethard was a quarterback and he cleaned up.
And you know the family with.
Speaker 10 (12:24):
The GMS and all that. You know, they have a
long football history.
Speaker 9 (12:28):
They're from the El Segundo area in the South Bay
down here in southern California. So that would be Pete Bethard.
He was a quarterback. And his brother's Bobby Bethard and CJ.
Bethard's great uncle, so that that's this guy, Pete Bethard.
He keep cleaned up in garbage time in the very
(12:51):
first Super Bowl and.
Speaker 10 (12:52):
He's a USC quarterback.
Speaker 9 (12:53):
So he's the only USC quarterback to have played in
the Super Bowl. This guy Pete Bethard in garbage time.
Now we all know Matt Lionert's story. Caleb Williams, who
us he rented for a short period, can can make
a Super Bowl.
Speaker 8 (13:11):
I'm sure at some point did Castle get.
Speaker 10 (13:14):
A ring the cast off not rings, but he never
played in the game.
Speaker 3 (13:18):
I mean Palmer got close. It's some playoff fronts.
Speaker 9 (13:21):
Carson would be the one that you would would imagine,
you know, in one of those big years where he
was supposed to make a run. They Steelers blew out
his knee on the very first play of the game
or something in the playoffs, so it never happened for Carson.
Pat Hayden won some playoff games. I believe going.
Speaker 3 (13:39):
Into great NBC Sports analyst, You hope.
Speaker 9 (13:43):
I believe going into this year, Mark Sanchez is the
most successful USC quarterback in the history of the NFL playoffs,
and that's because they've won a bunch of games.
Speaker 3 (13:53):
For US Sears saying just in general.
Speaker 9 (13:55):
For USC, gosh, you know, yeah, you know, like for
you for an ex great playoff record.
Speaker 10 (14:01):
Yeah, so, uh, it is.
Speaker 9 (14:03):
It is pretty remarkable that that that Sam Donald. Like
watching Sam Donald's career at US see, I'm not surprised.
I would say that he's starting in a Super Bowl,
knowing the way it's gone the last five or six years,
I guess it's much more surprising.
Speaker 10 (14:18):
But it's a great story if you love Sam Donald,
which I do.
Speaker 9 (14:22):
And uh, and his back his history is really great.
His backstory, what.
Speaker 1 (14:26):
Was this saying, can you can you tell a little
people about it? We talked about his grandfather.
Speaker 9 (14:30):
Was what Dick Hammer Cammer, the Marlboro Man, that's right,
who has reoccurring war role on the show Emergency was
a fireman.
Speaker 10 (14:38):
Was just an all around stud.
Speaker 9 (14:41):
His parents both athletes, a volleyball background. In the uh
in the Orange County area. That idiot, Colin Cowhard keeps
saying he's from Oceanside. That's not uh that that's that's
a different county than Sam Donald is from.
Speaker 10 (14:59):
Ocean Side is in San Diego. Uh. He's from the
last town before Camp Pendleton.
Speaker 9 (15:06):
So the last town in Orange County before you reach
Camp Pendleton and then the first town after Camp Pendleton
is ocean Side.
Speaker 8 (15:14):
Do you drive by the Boobs when you get to
his place on the side of.
Speaker 9 (15:18):
It would be right before the boobs Sana Tree State Beach.
Speaker 10 (15:22):
That's what you're referring to, the nuclear power plant that
is no longer operational. I'm afraid.
Speaker 9 (15:27):
But Sam Darnold is from San Clemente. San Clemente is
a very insulated town in Orange County. It is the
last town, like I said, of Orange County, it is
has a reputation for being a very white insulated town.
Oh thank god, there's a bar that that's called the
(15:50):
Stupid What yeah here Jonas, Yeah, no, I did you
know he's interesting LeVar, because you know, most towns in
the beach, you know, you've you've been in southern California
long enough to know and lived by the beach. You know,
most towns beach towns from South Bay all the way
down to Orange County down to San Diego. You know,
you drive down, you get on the Pier Avenue off
(16:12):
the freeway or whatever Manhattan Beach Boulevard or something, and
that usually takes you down to the downtown area or
the pier. In San Clemente, you get on the main
street and it takes you immediately out of town back
to data Point. To get to the pier is like
a maze, you know, it's it's a very insulated.
Speaker 10 (16:31):
They do have a.
Speaker 9 (16:32):
Bar there called the what's it called the Underground Inferno
or something, and it's a bar that's you.
Speaker 3 (16:40):
Got you gotta pump it up. We walked exactly.
Speaker 9 (16:45):
It looks exactly like the underground part of the Goonies.
Speaker 3 (16:49):
Okay, okay, yeah, all right, yeah.
Speaker 10 (16:52):
So they have some cool stuff in San Clemente.
Speaker 9 (16:54):
But the best thing about San Clemente is what's the
movie maker Ryan Ryan Johnson, the guy that made all
the Knives Out movies and a bunch of Star Wars stuff.
Speaker 10 (17:06):
He went to USC Film School.
Speaker 9 (17:08):
He went to San Clementy High and the first movie
he made out of high school was a movie with
Joseph Gordon leett Levitt of noir movie based at San
Clementy High.
Speaker 10 (17:19):
School where Darnold went to school. And it's called Brick
and that is a great movie about San Clemente that.
Speaker 8 (17:26):
It was just everybody was the lost Inferno, the lost
up here? It is and I didn't really yea, so
it is Goonyes themed. Yeah, like it's wow, that's amazing,
not making things up the Yeah.
Speaker 7 (17:40):
What are your thoughts on the Super Bowl? Tru's like
going into it? Yeah, the game, the game itself, Like
where are you thinking?
Speaker 9 (17:48):
Well, I mean, I like, I like the fact that
Seattle's back in it without Pete Carroll because then I
can kind of root for them. I did not root
for the Legion of Boom teams with Pete Carroll chewing
his gum on the sideline and his He left USC
at a disaster, Yeah, that was a big part of it.
Speaker 10 (18:08):
Uh and uh and.
Speaker 9 (18:09):
Putting out a book called Win forever, while USC got
the biggest sanctions since SMU.
Speaker 10 (18:13):
Thanks Pete. So I'm happy to be able to root
for Seattle.
Speaker 3 (18:19):
I think it's a little dangerous UK gloves off today. Yeah, well,
some people.
Speaker 1 (18:23):
Don't think it was warranted all that, all that punishment.
There's no wrongdoing going up, so.
Speaker 9 (18:28):
I can tell you that there was certainly a lack
of institutional control.
Speaker 3 (18:35):
So that that's your your, your that you can roof.
I got one, Oh no, Petros, I got one.
Speaker 1 (18:41):
Give us a solution for the Pro Bowl, Like I
don't know if you watched any of that last time?
Just okay, but they got to do something and replace
of that, don't they.
Speaker 10 (18:51):
No, I don't care.
Speaker 8 (18:52):
Yeah, and tell us why tell us? Why can I
say this?
Speaker 3 (18:59):
Though?
Speaker 8 (18:59):
Before you say, Lebron, I know what all? What else
is the problem? Petros? You like me have an affinity
for the Greater Loha Stadium. Okay, Well, once they took
it out of there, it was a damn shame and
it ruined the entire sport.
Speaker 9 (19:13):
I say once I once you couldn't get the plot
of Blue Crush anymore.
Speaker 3 (19:18):
Yeah, what a good movie.
Speaker 10 (19:19):
The NFL was lost?
Speaker 3 (19:23):
What about the Blue lagoons that movie too. Yeah, it
was the first time I saw Boobs. Can you tell
us why Lebron ruined the Pro Bowl? And that's pretty interesting.
Speaker 9 (19:32):
Q Well, that one time when Kobe wanted to play
defense on Lebron in the All Star Game and he
slapped the floor and everything. Yeah, and then Lebron passed
it off and turned it down and died. The culture
of competition in the NBA. It seeped over to all
the sports.
Speaker 3 (19:50):
Dang.
Speaker 1 (19:50):
No.
Speaker 9 (19:51):
I mean, look, the football is an interesting sport in
many ways because football players hate playing football.
Speaker 10 (19:58):
They kind of do like it's like.
Speaker 9 (20:00):
You know, yeah, I'm a football player, but I don't
want to put all this stuff on unless I have to.
Speaker 10 (20:05):
I don't want to practice.
Speaker 9 (20:07):
I mean, the NFL ruined their whole CBA the players
did just by accepting half pads. Like that's how bad
people want half pads. It's a great point, you know, like, hey,
we're not going to pay you the money you guys deserve,
and we're hiding billions of dollars from you and your
healthcare and your families. But how about half pads and
helmets and show They're like, let's have a stupid football
(20:28):
they plays, So players hate putting pads on and getting
all timed in and getting their sack all tucked in
and going out there and running around and playing. So
I guess, you know, I guess when it comes to
the Pro Bowl, like that's the most expendable time where
you can put on your gear, and it's just payers
(20:49):
get players get paid too much and so on and
so forth.
Speaker 10 (20:53):
But flag football is not football, not for real football players.
Speaker 3 (20:57):
Well, it's an Olympic sport, my guy, Yeah, it's not us.
Speaker 1 (21:00):
They let us know last night about fifty thousand times
too during that broadcast, Goddess.
Speaker 3 (21:05):
So it's just got yeah, reiterate that.
Speaker 9 (21:07):
Yeah, it's just it's they they ought to just I
know that they have a rating for it, and it's
kind of like something they have to do.
Speaker 10 (21:16):
It kind of reminds me.
Speaker 9 (21:17):
Of back like when the Pac twelve network and all
that in the Big ten network was all excited to
run everybody's spring game on TV. Yeah, and then everybody
stopped having a spring game and just like doing like
a showcase, like hey watch the guys do do stretches,
And they still had to televise it because it was
in the contract that kind of feels like what.
Speaker 10 (21:38):
The Pro Bowl is.
Speaker 1 (21:39):
Well, I know San Francisco was was better when the
Pat twelve was still in existence up here, So you.
Speaker 9 (21:44):
Do know what I mean, you're not feeling the acc vibe.
You don't see like Wake Forest fans walking around. You
don't see some uh Coast Carolina representation Dave Dorian Coast
to coast count There's a ton of people walking around
with forty nine Ers jerseys on, like a ton.
Speaker 7 (22:00):
A ton ton. I don't understand it. Like, guys, you
aren't playing, You're not in the big game.
Speaker 3 (22:06):
Petros, I want to ask you this.
Speaker 1 (22:08):
We try to talk about this, and I know Kawhi
Leonard finally got put into the reserves, but Lebron getting
the nod over Kawhi for the All Star Game that
seemed to be a bit controversially because Kawhi is having
a good year, a better year than Lebron. But clearly
this could be a swan song for Lebron, so maybe
that was why, Like did.
Speaker 10 (22:27):
You have an issue with it? I don't care.
Speaker 9 (22:29):
I mean, it's a Clipper All Star game with no Clippers.
So they finally added Kawhi Leonard because it looked really
bad to not have him when you have Lebron who's
not having as good of a year. Like you said,
I don't think this is it for Lebron. I think
Lebron is going to make sure he has a final
tour that looks like the prince Al.
Speaker 10 (22:52):
Number in Aladdin, you know, like every single place he goes.
Speaker 9 (22:56):
You know, that's the kind of exaltation I believe that
he's I would expect. The NBA All Star Game is stupid.
Everything around it is stupid. The only thing that I
look forward to is if there's like a fight at
a club or oh yeah, somebody gets arrested, somebody gets
caught slipping like Eugene Robinson, which can still happen out
(23:17):
there in San Francisco. So keep your eyes open and
keep your head on a Swivels are underrated, violent group.
You know a lot of people say that the Raider
fans are the worst and this, and that they are alive.
Speaker 8 (23:31):
And well, nothing better than seeing a you know, hispanic
guy throwing down on a Tom Rathman jersey might have
just beaten.
Speaker 10 (23:42):
I hate it when Rathman fights Roger Craig.
Speaker 9 (23:44):
Though, you know, same side guys and then Brent Jones
comes off the top rope and here comes Randy.
Speaker 3 (23:54):
Kraut last one.
Speaker 1 (23:56):
I grew up a Cleveland Cavaliers fans, So do with
that what you will. Garland gets traded out. The Cavs
get James Harden, Like, what are they getting in James Harden?
Speaker 3 (24:05):
At this point?
Speaker 10 (24:06):
A beard? Dang?
Speaker 3 (24:09):
Is not it?
Speaker 10 (24:10):
A beard? That that that that loves strip clubs?
Speaker 8 (24:14):
Yeah?
Speaker 10 (24:16):
Remember when James Harden dated Chloe Kardashian I but yeah,
that was it. There was a time for that. I
remember James Harden.
Speaker 12 (24:27):
Yeah right, she looks different now, Chloe, What do you mean?
She just looks different? So did James Harden. I remember
when he didn't have a beard and he was playing
at Arizona State. I remember him at Artesia. Now his
face is covered up with all that hair. I don't
know what they're I mean, he's the Clippers were playing great,
and I think James Harden, just like he did everywhere else,
(24:48):
got upset or unhappy and they weren't going to give
him another extension, so they figured out a way to
jettison him, and it happened pretty quickly. I don't know
what it does to the Clippers going forward, who were
playing good basketball headed towards five hundred after an abysmal start.
I don't know, I don't Certainly it must help Cleveland
if they think it's gonna if they went out and
(25:09):
did it to help out Spider Mitchell. I know Cleveland
has a lot of depths, so maybe some pieces to move.
Maybe this puts them over the top.
Speaker 9 (25:16):
But he still plays pretty good basketball. He still does
all the James harden Beard stuff out there, so.
Speaker 10 (25:23):
Well, still love club.
Speaker 3 (25:26):
It's a yeah.
Speaker 8 (25:28):
Then there's a lot of stories about him at the
club that Williams. We appreciate, uh you always making time
with us here on a beautiful Wednesday morning and educating
us on the places to go and places maybe not
to go.
Speaker 9 (25:44):
The best place out there for me is North Beach.
In North Beach as a great cradle of the Bay
Area literary tradition, which is very deep and goes way
before the Beat generation, but just in terms of the
Beach generation, the City Lights Bookstore is a great place.
(26:04):
A great bookstore used to be owned by Lawrence Ferlungetti
who's a famous writer and poet, and right across the
street from there as a bar called Vesuvio's. Oh that
all the beat writers Jack Kerawak and Alan Ginsberg and
stuff used to hang out.
Speaker 10 (26:20):
I would suggest you go by there.
Speaker 3 (26:22):
Right there we go reading Rainbow.
Speaker 8 (26:24):
All right, so get him on X at the old
p Petros will do it again next week. There is
the cost of the Petros and Money show that you
can hear on the blowtorch Am five seventy LA Sports
Fox College football analyst and our good buddy who hangs
out with us here every Wednesday morning. By the way,
have you ever wiped a piece of dry toilet paper
and wondered is this as good as it gets? Well,
(26:44):
it's not switched to life changing wet extra large flushable
dudewipes because Wedder just cleans better. Available at Amazon and
at major retailers nationwide. Dudewipes best clean pants down. All right,
it's going up next to here. Somebody's not happy. Somebody found
out that there are repercussions to being a horses ash
(27:04):
in the world of football, and that'll be yours right
here on FSR.

Speaker 7 (29:26):
Am I wrong for saying when you hear a beat
like this, you realize that you understand?
Speaker 3 (29:36):
Talk to me.
Speaker 7 (29:39):
Why that's where the drug originates from?
Speaker 10 (29:42):
Damn?
Speaker 8 (29:43):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah definitely.
Speaker 3 (29:48):
Hey man, that music puts you in fast forwards cooking music. Yeah,
that's bump music. Yeah, that's party music. Hey man.
Speaker 7 (30:00):
The only way you could keep up with a beat
like that is if you bumped. I mean, I ain't
never done it, but I'm just saying that's that I
could understand that that that this is fast forward like
I mean, for me, I could feel the I could
feel the energy of it without having that extra added.
(30:24):
But imagine, imagine you do have that extra added feeling
to it.
Speaker 3 (30:30):
Right, Well, you're gonna be getting it done.
Speaker 1 (30:32):
And for the ones who get it done, Granger often
access to overs of the skill delivery where you right tools
and supplies are never far away.
Speaker 3 (30:39):
Call Grainger dot com or just speaking of tools.
Speaker 8 (30:44):
Yeah, remember remember the damn.
Speaker 3 (30:54):
Was quick on the try.
Speaker 8 (30:56):
Remember that? Uh you remember remember that goofball. Ryan Kennedy,
he was the Detroit Lions. Yeah, we knew it.
Speaker 3 (31:05):
Was setting it up, right, you knew it was a setup.
Speaker 8 (31:08):
Levard mentioned this. It is good, bad about ugly. So
he filed. Ryan Kennedy filed a one hundred million dollar
lawsuit against DK Metcalf, the media company tied to jad
Johnson and Shannon Sharp, alleging defamation, negligence, and more. His
attorney announced on Tuesday he's also suing DK Metcalf for
(31:29):
assault and battery, as well as the Steelers for their
alleged liability in a December twenty one incident obviously where
DK Metcalf had the issue with him while he was
sitting in the front row. He said he's been accused.
He was accused of directing a racial slert Metcalf. He
claims he was portrayed falsely as a racist in the
national media.
Speaker 1 (31:50):
So, I mean, I hope DK doesn't end up hanging
out anything to this guy. But that being said, the NFL, also,
who knew there was history here, should have done a
much better job of trying to protect the player and
even the team and the whole situation. It just goes
to show you there's still a gap in the way
we go about trying to protect players, even fans for
(32:14):
that matter, from unfortunate interactions. But I mean the problem
is the the evidence as far as him assaulting that.
Speaker 3 (32:21):
Guy is on camera. Yeah, and that is damn it, bro, Like,
I don't know how you could live view it any
other way.
Speaker 7 (32:27):
And he walked over. You got issues, man, that's yeah.
You could go first, second, third, fourth, fifth. You need
some help, man, you need to talk through it. You
need you just like this guy suing four hundred million,
You need some help and some assistance too. It's a
(32:50):
very very opportunistic move on his behalf, though, I mean,
on on the other side of it, if you're playing
devil's advocate of it, I mean he set up the bait,
set the trap. DK Metcalf went over. We were watching.
I was watching. I watched weird like strange videos. Even
(33:12):
a rat knows not to take the cheese the trap.
To think about that, two traps, two traps. You're in
a space where there's no real food. The only real
food that that rat could have got would have led
to its demise.
Speaker 3 (33:25):
I don't know how you got there, but you were
watching it, and it did not take the bait. It
did not take the bait.
Speaker 7 (33:32):
From two traps, not one trap, two traps. And now
one person's actions leads to the NFL being being sued
by it, the Pittsburgh Steelers franchise being being impacted by it,
and DK Metcalf being impacted by it. I just you
got to be more responsible than that. You know, somebody
(33:53):
calls you by your government names, so what, so what
your mama's my government name? Do something interesting, you know,
be creative, don't put your hands on the person, don't, don't,
don't compromise yourself. You know immediately right away that that
(34:14):
man has way more, far more to gain than to
lose in that scenario, and you, as the pro player,
the professional in that situation, has far more to lose.
Speaker 3 (34:27):
That's the reality of it.
Speaker 7 (34:29):
And it's just, you know, talking about the NFL shit
needing to have been more responsible. There was a there
was law enforcement standing right there with DK Metcalf, watched
him walk over, then proceeded to walk over with him
with him. There's guys standing there. Somebody needed to say DK,
(34:52):
do not go over there, or at least don't know
at least nothing, at least no, there is no e
leat do not go over there? Do not if I'm
the police officer the moment he turned no, anyone like
and and I don't know how that that plays out
in terms of responsible for one another as a team,
(35:15):
because why is he in a position where he's all
by himself, no teammates or anything like that? Is he
is he running such a muck where you're just sitting
there he's like, Oh, he's just gonna go do what
he wants to do. That's just you know how we
always say that's just him, right, that's just him. Well,
now it's going him just that's just him. Now it's
(35:38):
going to cost you. There's it's going to cost him.
It's going to cost somebody something. It's going to cost
him something. You're not getting out of this one free
and clear, you're not. You put your hands on them,
and and it's on camera, it's it's documented.
Speaker 3 (35:59):
And it's sad because he's.
Speaker 7 (36:00):
A d bag, Like he's clearly he's a d bag,
the dude that did this. But you can't be so
simple where you let a simpleton. Draw you being into
a simpleton unless you are a simpleton yourself. And that's
the only conclusion that I could come to.

Speaker 3 (38:13):
So what are we looking at? All? Right?
Speaker 15 (38:14):
They're kind of easy ones here, guys. So let's go
with the first one.
Speaker 3 (38:17):
Here.
Speaker 15 (38:17):
Do the Seahawks throw under the one yard line for
a touchdown?
Speaker 3 (38:21):
Pass? Yes?
Speaker 10 (38:21):
Or no?
Speaker 3 (38:22):
No? No? Didn't we do this already. No, No, not
exact worded differently.
Speaker 8 (38:29):
No, I'm gonna say no.
Speaker 3 (38:32):
You're going to say no. I'm gonna say no. Yeah,
me too. Hey, keep it up and I'll say yes.
Speaker 10 (38:38):
Good, all right.
Speaker 15 (38:39):
The next one up we have here is all right,
do we get a field goal or an extra point?
Doink off the uprights? Ooh, that's a good wow.
Speaker 3 (38:48):
The wind you're talking about the wind?
Speaker 1 (38:49):
Yeah, but I don't think they're drinking. One's the only
people drinking. Other people we're gonna see we leave this.
Speaker 7 (38:57):
I say no, but man, I'm gonna yes, okay, all right?
Next to be kicking from far away these days, that is,
they do be calling out.
Speaker 8 (39:07):
Who's the dude from Miami who has just kept hitting
up rights in the playoff?
Speaker 10 (39:12):
University of his names?
Speaker 3 (39:15):
It's a good kicker, but all of a sudden he
got to the big games and he was just it
might be one of your relatives. What else you got, geese?
So is there a pick six in the Super Bowl?
Speaker 6 (39:26):
Man?
Speaker 3 (39:27):
I must say no. I'm gonna say no too. Odds
are definitely against that. I'll say I'll say no.
Speaker 15 (39:35):
Alrighty, number four, will a quarterback catch a pass and
that counts as one plus receptions. Say it again, quarterback
catching a pass.
Speaker 3 (39:43):
No, Yeah, I'm gonna say no as well. Gotcha.
Speaker 8 (39:46):
It's gonna be a meat and potato super Bowl.
Speaker 15 (39:48):
A right, final one. Do we get a Super Bowl
score of goammie, yes or no? Where it's never been
that score done before?
Speaker 3 (39:55):
Yeah?
Speaker 8 (39:55):
No, no, no, okay, I'll say no in the no's
have it everybody?
Speaker 3 (40:03):
That was it? That was it? We had five? Oh perfect,
that's called fishing. Fishing on that wayah oh, real quick.
Speaker 1 (40:12):
You wanted to take off twenty bucks because you supposedly
threw twenty dollars at labarrel next time for dinner on
your friends. That is not happening. Okay, what about the
fast stay with fifty dollars? Okay, you bring your fifty
dollars to tonight's dinner.
Speaker 8 (40:23):
What about the fact that I threw the twenty down
on the table in a violent.
Speaker 3 (40:27):
Manner doesn't matter. I should find you more, for we
should find you more.
Speaker 7 (40:30):
It should be sixty you trying, that should be you
should be fine more fash
