(00:23):
Sports Radio. In my mind, last night was a win
for the Ages. Tom Brady was already legendary, but what
he did on Sunday night in Super Bowl fifty five
was he forever cemented the idea, at least in most

(00:45):
of our lives, that we are now going to be
able to argue that there is no doubt the greatest
American team pro sports athlete of all time is now
in my mind, Tom Brady. He has eclipsed Michael Jordan's

(01:05):
with his seventh title with his tenth different Super Bowl.
Here are some of the incredible data points surrounding Brady
at this point in time. The most remarkable Tom Brady
now has more Super Bowl wins than any NFL team.
Brady has seven, The Patriots and the Steelers have six each,

(01:27):
the Cowboys have five, and the forty Niners have five.
Tom Brady has more Super Bowl wins than any NFL franchise.
There is now a nineteen year span between championships for
Tom Brady. It is a record for any team sport.
No one has ever won a championship over a longer

(01:50):
longevity period than Brady, who won his first title in
two thousand and one and now has won his most
recent title in end it's not far off from Jack
Nicholas's golf record of twenty four years between majors. UH
several other different details. The Bucks first team with four

(02:12):
thirty point games in a postseason. Ever, they are the
first team to beat three Super Bowl MVPs in a
single postseason. Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers, and Patrick Mahomes lose
back to back to back to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Tom Brady first player in NFL history with fifty passing
touchdowns in a season that includes the playoffs to win

(02:33):
a Super Bowl championship. We have Tom Brady now with
seven career postseason wins as an underdog, including three in
a row in this postseason. That is tied with Eli
Manning for the most by any starting quarterback since nineteen six.
How about Brady joins a seven and nine football team,

(02:55):
throws more touchdowns than any player ever in his first
year with a new team, win three straight games in
order to get to the super Bowl, and then wins
a fourth. He has now beaten Uh. Brady has Breeze,
Rogers and Mahomes. As we said earlier, Brady was able
to uh to break down I think in a big way. UH.

(03:17):
This game essentially came down to the offensive and the
defensive lines. Patrick Mahomes was pressured on twenty nine of
his fifty six dropbacks, the most of any quarterback in
Super Bowl history. Meanwhile, Tom Brady was pressured on just
four of his thirty dropbacks, the lowest of his Super
Bowl career. You can factor in, by the way, as

(03:39):
a part of this, Brady gets rid of the football
very quickly. Mahomes tends to hold it for longer. But
Mahomes was running around for his life. This Kansas City
Chief offensive line could not block for him at all.
A wild stat Lebron James currently makes seventy one point

(04:00):
two of his free throws. Tom Brady's career win percentage
in the playoffs seventy five point six percent, So Tom
Brady is more likely to win a playoff game than
Lebron is to make a free throw this year. That
is a pretty crazy stat How long has it been
since Tom Brady played in his first Super Bowl in

(04:23):
two thousand one. Here is a list of advertisers in
that first Super Bowl that basically no longer exist a
O L Blockbuster, Radio, Shack, Circuit City, comp USA Sears,
Hot Jobs, Yahoo Voice, Stream Wireless, and Gateway Computers. Not

(04:47):
only has Tom Brady set a record for the longest
period between championships, he has also outlisted, outlasted a bevy
of major corporations that were advertising on the first Super
Bowl that he had ever played in. A couple of
other things out there we can't overlook. Gronk. Gronk now

(05:10):
is the second leading receiver. He's tied for the second
leading receiving yards in Super Bowls all time. Jerry Rice
five hundred and eighty nine yards receiving is the most
receiving yards in the history of the Super Bowl. Second
place now Rob Gronkowski is tied with Lynn Swan at

(05:30):
three hundred and sixty four yards. Obviously, Jerry Rice set
a standard that may never be matched by anyone UH,
followed by Julian Edelman and Andre Reid again most career
receiving yards in Super Bowls. Gronk with two touchdown UH catches,
re emerges from the waste land after retirement and ends

(05:50):
up being an absolutely dominant addition. There will be some
discussion out there about the about the penalties in the
first half. The Chiefs had eight for ninety five yards.
The Bucks had just one for five yards. There were
a lot of discussions about those penalties. I thought, you know,

(06:11):
there's a couple that that probably couldn't didn't need to
be called, even something like lining up off sides on
a field goal when the field goal is made. I
don't know that you need to be aggressive. We never
got a down the line look on whether or not
there was an off sides play there or not. I
would like to have seen whether or not the Chiefs

(06:31):
were there. I also don't like defensive holding calls in
general on third down because I feel like you can
call them so frequently. One of those defensive holding calls
took away at Tom Brady interception by Teyron Matthew UH.
To me, that's a call that doesn't need to be made.
In that situation at that point in time, Um and uh.

(06:54):
I understand Chiefs fans who felt like they were getting
getting hose there in the first half, but let's remember
your team didn't score a touchdown and you also stopped
the Tampa Bay Buccaneers inside the one yard line on
another drive. So in addition to getting out scored thirty

(07:15):
one to nine, it was close to being thirty eight
to nine because the Buccaneers. Really, I mean, that was
a heck of a stand by the Chiefs to stop
them there near the end of the first half. But
that would have been a much bigger deal if this
game had been closer instead of Brady and the Buccaneers
running away with it. This was the most dominant Super

(07:39):
Bowl win of Tom Brady's career. They have tended to
be these games very close, whether they win or they lose,
as the Super Bowl often is. This was a runaway,
uh laugher, a beat down. Over twenty thousand of you
have now voted who is the greatest American Pro sports
team athlete of all time? I gave you two options,

(08:03):
Tom Brady or Michael Jordan's plus other for anybody out
there who feels like it is another athlete that should
be included. With over twenty one thousand of you voting
in the first hour of the show, sixty percent of
you are saying that Tom Brady is the greatest American
pro sports team athlete of all time, thirty three percent

(08:25):
of you saying Michael Jordan's just seven percent of you
voting for another athlete. I just left a broad category
of other uh So, I didn't like the halftime performance.
I got motion sick from the weekend uh the the
television commercials okay. I thought in general, it was a

(08:47):
amazing accomplishment for the NFL to be able to get
their entire season in on time. Uh It's remarkable, truly
that the every team all sixteen uh sixteen games were
played by all thirty two teams, and that we ended
up finishing off the season without any major COVID issues
pretty much in the postseason. I know Kevin Stefanski was

(09:10):
not able to coach in the wild card round, but
by and large, pretty much every player who mattered was
able to play in the postseason. This was, I believe,
an incredible testament and success for the the NFL to
be able to crown a champion and do it on time.

(09:31):
If you're looking ahead, I would think this is a
good sign because remember all the people out there who
said it was going to be impossible to play outside
of the bubble environment, the NFL did it for the
entire year. I think this would be a good sign
for Major League Baseball and for the possibility of baseball
being able to play a hundred and sixty two games season.

(09:53):
I am cautiously optimistic that that's going to be able
to occur, and not only that, that there will be
fan in the stands I would hope for every Major
League Baseball team, although with the ridiculous decisions the state
of California, among others, have been making, I would think
maybe it might not be the case in California, even
though it will be the case in much of the country,

(10:15):
that fans will be able to be back. I believe,
and I've been saying this for a while. We'll probably
talk about it a little bit more this week. I
think by the fall will have fact back to full stadiums,
and I would put the over under at some places
in terms of being able to sell as many tickets
as they can. I think by July four, some Major
League baseball stadiums will be back to effectively full capacity

(10:38):
as we move forward and the vaccinations continue to roll
out in a big way. The number of COVID cases
are plummeting all over the country right now. Uh, the
number of deaths are plummeting, and the amount of vaccinations
are surging. I think the COVID story is very close
to being over, uh in terms of in terms of

(11:01):
what is going to happen there. I said earlier, both
of my parents, who are seventy five years old, got
their vaccines on Friday. Uh. My father in law has
gotten both of his vaccine shots he's over seventy five,
as well as we are giving all of the older
people in our population these COVID shots. Effectively, the death
rate is going to go down to negligible level from

(11:24):
people who are dying with COVID. We're not gonna end death. UH,
there's still gonna be you know that. We've talked about
this a lot. Almost eight thousand people die every day
in the United States. We've tended to focus just on
people dying with COVID and UH and not recognize many
people having out there. That two point eight million people

(11:45):
or three million people on average are dying every year
in this country. UH. COVID has been a focal point,
but there are, for instance, far more people who will
die of heart disease this year UH and cancer than
die of COVID. And that happens every year, not just
once a year or not just once every hundred years.

(12:07):
So hopefully we're gonna put that all behind us and
UH the I think the state of Florida deserves a
tremendous amount of credit. If you think about what the
state of Florida. We had Ron de Santis, the Governor
of Florida, on the Show on Friday. If you think
about what Florida has done in terms of bringing sports back,
just think about this for a minute. They had the

(12:29):
w w E WrestleMania in April of last year. They
had the Tiger Woods versus Peyton Manning, Phil Nicholson, Tom
Brady Golf Challenge UH down in Florida. They had one
of the first NASCAR races to return. They had the
College Football National Championship between Alabama and Notre Dame. They

(12:52):
had the Super Bowl between UM. Obviously last night we
just watched between the Chiefs and the Bucks. They had
ad the NBA Bubble at Disney World to allow an
NBA champion to be crowned all of those things, and
they they. Governor Ron De Santis told us on Friday
that he's ready for spring training to start down in Florida,

(13:13):
and he's ready for fans to be in the stands
for that as well, and that he expects that stadiums
will be full at places like the University of Florida,
Florida State, as well as the NFL stadiums for next
year's football season. So I think the state of Florida,
more so than any state in the country had big state,

(13:34):
has done better than any big state in the country
in terms of dealing with COVID. They have the lowest
unemployment rate in the country. Of the big states North
New York, California, Texas, and Florida. Texas and Florida have
done a much better job of responding to COVID than
either New York or California have, despite the fact that
the media primarily wants to praise both of the governors

(13:57):
of those states, Andrew Cuomo and uh and Newsome. So
that is the that is the table setting there for
Super Bowl discussion. We will open up phone lines eight seven,
seven nine, six three six nine. This is out kicked
the coverage with Clay Travis. Probably a lot of you

(14:20):
waken up this morning with hangovers. Maybe I had a
little bit too much to eat at your Super Bowl festivities.
But hopefully you're able to go to work, unlike Roberto
who is called in sick for the biggest day of
the year on radio. Uh what have we learn? Uh?
The poll question is up, and i'd encourage you to
go get your go get your votes in who is

(14:42):
the greatest American Pro sports team athlete of all time?
Nearly twenty five thousand of you have voted during the
course of today's show, six of you saying Brady, thirty
three percent of you saying Jordan's, seven percent of you
saying other. I'll update you in the final segment of
the show and probably give you a final tally on
that tomorrow on the program. As much of a story
as there is about Tom Brady and what he was

(15:05):
able to accomplish, this is also a story about the
beat down that the Bucks defense put on this Kansas
City Chief offense. The Chiefs did not score a touchdown.
If you had bet that for the Super Bowl that
would have paid out at sixty two one, one of
the biggest payouts of any surprise that could have happened

(15:26):
in the Super Bowl sixty to one, which is pretty crazy.
Also only the second loss for Patrick Mahomes in the
last twenty seven games he started at quarterback. The Chiefs
now are twenty five and two, and crazily, this is
the biggest defeat for Patrick Mahomes since when he was

(15:49):
the starting quarterback for Texas Tech and his team, the
Red Raiders, lost to Iowa State by a substantial margin.
It's a first time since that Iowa State loss that
as a starting quarterback, Patrick Mahomes has lost a game
by more than one score. It's pretty unbelievable there. Tyreek
Hill disappears, Travis Kelsey relatively useless, was covered well by

(16:15):
a linebacker, oftentimes Lavonte David I believe it was for
most much of the game was able to cover him
by the Bucks. Incredible game plan that the Bucks put
in place did not give up really any big plays
throughout this game. Uh and Patrick Mahomes was running for
his life. The defensive line between between Jason Pierre, Paul

(16:37):
Shack Barrett and Vita Vey destroyed that Chief's offensive line,
which had a lot of health related issues for sure,
But the Chiefs have been able to find a way
to win every game all season except for against the
Raiders earlier in the year, back in early November, I
think was when that loss actually happened for the Chiefs.
And uh, now, the Patrick Mahomes argument, right, I mean,

(17:01):
coming into this, this was we're going up Tom Brady
against Patrick Mahomes question. I mean, if the Chiefs had
won this game, we would have come on and we
would have said, Wow, Patrick Mahomes has two Super Bowls
by the age of five. Could he end up catching
Tom Brady one day? Maybe the answer is still yes.
I think it's highly unlikely because if you look going forward,

(17:26):
the second most Super Bowls to ever be played in
by any quarterback of all time is John Elway with five.
Even if Patrick Mahomes does better than John Elway's five,
Let's say that he goes out and he plays in seven,
which would be still a remarkable achievement, the second best

(17:48):
achievement in the history of Super Bowls. Right now, he
would have to win. Patrick Mahomes would every one of
those Super Bowls and he would still be one behind
Tom Brady. So again, losing this game head to head
with Tom Brady losing two years ago in the a

(18:09):
f C Championship Game, I think that Tom Brady has
forever cemented his status as the greatest American team sport athlete.
Now maybe things can change. Uh Lebron James is what
thirty six? If he played until he was forty three
at a high level like Tom Brady and basketball, maybe
that could change the calculus here. But remember Brady's not

(18:32):
done yet, and next year, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers arguably
will be better than they are this year because they're
basically returning everybody and they'll have a lot more time
to work out together without COVID related restrictions. I would
think this Tampa Bay Buccaneer offense will be even better
next year than it was this year. And you heard

(18:52):
Bruce Arians in the post game basically say, hey, I'm
coming back. I want to get more than one Super Bowl.
And I think there's a d and chance that that
Tampa Bay Buccaneers get back to another Super Bowl with
Tom Brady before all is said and done, so his
resume is not even complete yet. He could add an
eleventh or a twelveth to could add an eighth, maybe

(19:14):
even a ninth different championship. We'll see what exactly ends
up happening going forward for Tom Brady. But the most
remarkable thing I I believe about his performance is his
longtime rival Peyton Manning has now been out of the
NFL for five years and has been inaugurated into the

(19:35):
Hall of Fame while Tom Brady is still playing. Same
thing is true of Philip Rivers, who was a contemporary
of Tom Brady. It appears that Drew Brees is going
to retire another contemporary. Uh, We rapidly have Ben Roethlisberger
declining in his career, and there's just not a lot

(19:56):
of challengers left for the throne anywhere near Tom Brady's age,
or even in the case of Patrick Mahomes at a
lot younger age. So huge statement by Tom Brady, major debate.
Maybe the big discussion point now going forward is going
to be Brady versus Jordan's as opposed to Lebron versus Jordan's,

(20:19):
which is the Lebron versus Jordan's argument, the most played
out and over analyzed topic probably in the history of
American sports. So maybe the new talking point is going
to be Brady versus Jordan's. Be sure to catch live
editions about Kicked the coverage with Clay Travis weekdays at
six am Eastern, three am Pacific eight seven seven six

(20:41):
three six nine. No guests on Super Bowl Sunday. A
Super Bowl Sunday reaction. Uh. Here on the Monday, and
I'm reading right now. Did you guys see Rob Gronkowski's
high school yearbook listed under hobbies working out playing sports chicks,
which is just perfect for Gronk uh, who has made
a I think strong argument to being the greatest tight

(21:05):
end of all time when you look at his career.
And by the way, Travis Kelsey and Gronk I believe
are the same age um, which is a surprise because
I think a lot of people out there, myself included,
would have thought that Kelsey was substantially younger. Maybe Kelsey
is younger, and I'm saying that that that they're not

(21:26):
very much different in age, but but it is interesting
to see those two contemporaries go at it head to
head in the Super Bowl. Maybe Kelsey's two years younger.
One of you can look that up. Uh, let's go
ahead and get some of your calls eight seven, seven
nine nine six six three six nine. A lot of
people went to weigh end who's up first. We got
Tommy in Florida, Tommy fire Away, Hey man, great show. Here.

(21:51):
Here's my point. I started thinking that did anybody do
better last night than Tom Brady? And I gotta think so.
We already knew he was the greatest. I think your
show did the best. And here's why I I'm giving
you some praise here. You you fought the Corona Bros.
Helped bring college football back. You you you stood up
to the Peter King's who obviously showed their hypocrisy yesterday
and flying Colors, and we need this. We need shows

(22:15):
like you because what's going on in this world right now,
we need free speech. We need warriors like you out
there telling it exactly the way it is. I think
I'll kick in your whole crew. I think you guys did.
I think you guys did as good as Tom Brady
last night for the whole season. So just thanks for
doing what you're doing and just keep it up, man,
don't stop. I appreciate that. I do think that that well.

(22:36):
I know a lot of you loved Peter King. Do
we have that audio dubbed I mean, Danny G did
you grab that audio of Peter King on the show?
Do I have that? So? Remember, back in the spring,
Peter King, who is NFL insider, writes for Sports Illustrated,
I think or he I don't even know where he
is now. Anyway, he writes a column about the NFL.

(22:57):
So he tweeted out that he was at the game.
And one of the things that I've been kind of
hammering people on. You can have whatever opinion you want
in the world. What I would say is just don't
be a hypocrite. That's that's my only request. And So,
if you're Peter King, and you are out there and
you have spent months talking about how unsafe it is

(23:20):
in the state of Florida and how unsafe it is
to travel, and how you're trying to do everything to
beat COVID so you don't kill everybody's grandma, how do
you then make the decision to get on an airplane
and travel to Florida for the Super Bowl, especially after
you came on my show and ripped Florida Governor uh

(23:42):
Rhn de Santis for doing a horrible job dealing with
COVID while you're simultaneously claiming that New York Governor Andrew
Cuomo has done it a disastrous job, and Gavin Newsom,
who's done a disastrous job in California, that somehow they've
done a great job. I was trying to give trying

(24:03):
to be bi partisan, trying to be fair. Here was
Peter King on my show back this spring, after he
was ripping me for saying, Hey, we gotta find a
way to play sports. We gotta find a way to
play in the NFL, We got to find a way
to play college football. He's been ripping me in his column.
I invited him on the show. It didn't go well
for him. But here's Peter King ripping the governor of Florida.

(24:26):
How do you then travel down to Florida where the
Super Bowl is taking place with fans present, and not
expect your readers or listeners to recognize your blatant hypocrisy.
Here's Peter King. You want to give credit to the governors,
and you know you can say, look, Gavin Newsom did
a good job. You can say Andrew Cuomo did a
good job. You might even be able to say Ron

(24:46):
de Santis did a good job. Because the numbers are
not very bad. I would not say, I absolutely would
not say that Rond de Santis didn't okay. But my
question is day late and all these professional sports are
gonna be welcome in Florida. That may not be the
case in every other state in this country, as we've seen.
I would not say, I would absolutely would not say

(25:07):
that Rond de Santis did it okay. But what I
would tell commissioners of leagues is if you have a
team in an area where they just won't let them operate,
we'll find a place for you here in the state
of Florida, because we think it's important and we know
that that it can be done safely. You might even
be able to say Ron de Santis did a good
job because the numbers are not very bad. I would

(25:28):
not say. I would absolutely would not say that Rond
de Santis did it okay. So many of these guys
are total frauds. I mean, how can you argue it's
not safe to play football and then go cover a
football game. Corona Rose did this throughout the entire football season.
As I said, an hour one, high school, college and
pro football played all over the country. Not one serious

(25:52):
hospitalization related to football for any player or any coach.
We've now finished college football, We've now finished the n
f L. For those of you who had decent leadership
in your states, you finished high school football as well.
Zero issues. Not one death or serious hospitalization connected to

(26:15):
COVID from football, Not one transmission of COVID from playing football,
not one, Not once death or serious hospitalization, not one
transmission of COVID across the line of scrimmage connected to
the game of football. Tremendous success out there. Who's up next,

(26:37):
dub We got trip in North Carolina? Trip what you
got for my many claiming congrats on all the stuff
you're doing without kick. It's been a remarkable thing to
watch for far. Um. Yeah, back in the summer, you
you took a big spotlight and shine it on these
states that were basically taken away high school football from

(26:58):
from kids, and the a to Virginia was one of
those states. Um, my parents both live in Virginia, and
there's a group of people in Virginia that are having
to drive as many as five hours around trip into
the state of North Carolina to get a COVID vaccine
because the governor in the state of Virginia has has
had such draconian restrictions on people there that unless you're

(27:21):
over seventy five, you can't even get like the first
wave of the vaccine shots. So people are literally fleeing
the state and driving down in North Carolina to get
a vaccine administrated. And it just I think it just
speaks to the failures of these governors. And I don't
really see anybody in the media bringing them, bringing a
lot of attention to them. Thanks for the call. Look,
I mean there are the great thing about federalism for

(27:44):
those of you who are not familiar with federalism, is
we have fifty different state governments out there, and there
has never been in a time I don't think in
anybody's life who is listening to me right now, where
which state governor you had mattered this much? Look at

(28:06):
the big states. I mean Virginia screwed up, right. I
mean they didn't allow high school football to be played.
I think if you're listening to me in Virginia right now,
and you look at all that data, you would have
to say that your governor and your leaders didn't look
at the data or follow the science and they made
a bad choice. I think you would have to say
the same thing in the state of California. All these

(28:27):
other states managed to play high school football, college football,
and pro football zero issues with COVID in terms of hospitalization,
serious death, or even transmission of the virus across the
lines of scrimmage. In fact, the NFL shared all of
their data, and I bet the same thing is true

(28:49):
in college too, And what they found was the transmission
rate for their players was lower than it was for
the general public. That is, you were under more danger
as a non NFL player then you were as an
NFL player of getting COVID. And I bet if you

(29:10):
go and look at the rates of infection on college campuses,
I bet that college kids were under more danger of
getting COVID from regular students than they were from college students.
Why do I think that because of all the protocols
put in place to help keep people safe to be
able to play the sport. And the point on the

(29:31):
fifty different governors is we're gonna have an ability to
look at their performances across the country, and I think
you're gonna be able to do it a couple of
different ways. You're gonna be able to look at what
the death rate was, We're schools kept open, were people
able to work? What was the unemployment rate? To me,
that's three things that every governor should be judged on.

(29:53):
What kind of death rate did you have, what kind
of school situation did you have, did most of your
kids go to school or not? And what's the unemployment
rate in your in your state? And then the fourth
metric here is going to be how vaccinations are being
rolled out. Some states are doing phenomenal jobs. In fact,
the last time I looked at the data, you know

(30:13):
what state was doing the best in the entire country
at vaccinating its people, West Virginia. I'm not sure whether
that's going to continue. One of you guys can find
the latest tables on percentage of vaccinations being used. But
California was the worst per capita at vaccinations and the
best per capita was West Virginia in terms of using

(30:37):
the percentages of the vaccines that it had and getting
them into the arms of their people. And yes, unfortunately
I was reading and i've been I've seen a lot
of this. There's a lot of vaccine travel across straight
state line right now because a lot of people are
able to UH, A lot of people out there are

(30:57):
able to get vaccines in different state eats easier than
they are their own state, and the whole thing is
a mess. This is Outkicked the coverage with Clay Travis.
Several of you still want to close out the show,
so I'm gonna continue to let you guys react. We

(31:19):
have obviously talked a ton all about the Super Bowl.
Encourage you to go download the podcast. Search out my
name Clay Travis, search out out Kick if you would
like to make sure that you don't miss a single
minute of our discussion. Poll question that is up today,
who is the greatest American pro sports team athlete of
all time? I said, I believe it is now Tom Brady.

(31:42):
Nearly thirty thousand of you have voted so far this morning. UH,
in the first what two hours and change that this
has been up online, sixty percent of you are saying
Tom Brady is the greatest, with nearly thirty thousand votes in,
thirty three percent of you are saying Michael Jordan's and
seven percent of you are saying someone else is. All right,

(32:05):
let's roll through these calls fast, dub Who we got
We got Matt and Tyler Texas. Matt, what you got
for me? Hey, Clay, what about Bill Russell of the
Boston Celtics. Eleven NBA titles? Yeah, thanks for that. Some
people are big Bill Russell people, and that obviously would
factor into the other category. There weren't that many teams

(32:26):
back in the day, right, Somebody can look up exactly
how many NBA teams there were when Bill Russell was
winning his championships. I want to say, like there was
maybe twelve or thirteen. Uh. Somebody look up how many
actual NBA teams there were back in the day. Uh.
And So the other thing that I think factors in
here in a big way. The Celtics have won a

(32:47):
lot of titles over the years in the n b A.
Tom Brady has won more Super Bowls than any franchise
has in the history of the NFL. That's kind of
a big deal. So the Celtics would have still won
a lot of titles even without Bill Russell's titles. This

(33:08):
has been a very successful franchise over time. So there's
only ten teams. I think you have to factor in
the number of teams there were when you talk about
the number of titles that you're winning. Their thirty two
NFL teams, It's really hard to get to a super Bowl,
much less win one. When Bill Russell was winning his titles,
there were only ten NBA teams. It's a lot easier

(33:30):
to win a league with only ten teams than it
is to win a league with thirty two teams. Who's
up next, We've got Zoltan and Florida. Zoltan fire awaya man, Hey,
how are you doing? Love the show? Appreciate that. UM
just had a quick question for you. If you notice
something yesterday anytime they attended on Kelsey like close up,

(33:54):
he just seems like he was in a completely different world.
I was wondering what your thoughts on that. Yeah, look,
I mean I think that there's no doubt that the
Todd Bowls Tampa Bay Buccaneer led defense they completely clunked. Uh.
It just put the entire Chiefs team out of sorts.
They looked, they looked totally befuddled throughout the entirety of

(34:17):
the game. Tyreek Hill was furious on the sidelines Travis Kelsey. Again,
it seemed like he was being covered very well by
a linebacker, which almost never happens. David was all over
and he didn't seem to have good footing. Uh And again,
I think a big part of that was Mahomes could
never get set. I mean, this was a collapsing pocket

(34:39):
on every single play. I gave you the data on
that earlier in the show, but let me go find
that again. And I think it just put everybody out
of sorts. Patrick Mahomes was under pressure to a degree
we've never seen before in uh the entirety. Mahomes was
pressured on twenty nine of his fifty six drop x,

(35:00):
the most of any quarterback in Super Bowl history. As
good as Brady was, and he was great, particularly in
the first half, this biggest mismatch all night long was
the Tampa Bay Buccaneer defensive line against the offensive line
of the Kansas City Chiefs. That's where the game was
really one in the trenches. Who's up next? Up? Alright?

(35:21):
Last one? We got Robert and Indiana. Robert, what you got?
Gay Jordan's took two different teams to the finals. If
he weren't retired, he would have won two more. If
he would have had one or two more superstars with him.
When he went to the Wizards. He most certainly would
have won mark championships. I understand the Jordan's stands out there,

(35:42):
but remember when Jordan's didn't win the two titles that
were won by the Rockets, he came back and tried
to steal one and lost in the playoffs to the
Orlando Magic. So when people say, oh, Jordan's would have
won two more titles, he had a chance to win
another title and he lost in to the Orlando Magic.

(36:04):
So and then the Magic went and got swept, I
believe by the Houston Rockets. I think that was the
game one, Nick Anderson missing four straight free throws, if
I'm not mistaken. In the NBA Finals, I think that
was the year and the Magic got run. That was
the Shack and Penny Magic team down in Orlando, the
best Orlando Magic team really that has ever existed, and

(36:29):
Jordan's Bulls lost to that team. So I understand the argument.
Maybe you're right. If he had never retired at all,
maybe he would have won eight. But he came back
and tried to win that one. And it's like people
just don't remember or fail to acknowledge that Jordan's lost
in the playoffs that year was he perfect shape, no

(36:49):
came back. He was number forty five, but it happened. Uh.
