(00:23):
Sports Radio. There's a team in the NFL who no
doubt has gotten better over the last twenty four hours,
but is it a little too late. We'll get into
that here coming up in just a couple of moments
from now. That guy right over there is Brady Quinn.
I'm Jonas Knox. This is Outkicked the Coverage here on
(00:43):
Fox Sports Radio. We are in for Clay Travis. You

here as we take you all the way up until
nine am Eastern time, six o'clock Pacific right here on
Fox Sports Radio, and ladies and gentlemen, I present to
(01:04):
you my man Brady Quinn. I still can't get over
just your disdain for Drew Brees and how he decided
to do his retirement. I've been thinking about that since
we last spokes Sunday on our show. Just how upsets
you were at the day which he chose to announce
his retirement, Like, can you let the guy go out
(01:24):
on his own terms? Can you let him choose the
day in the way he wants to retire. I don't
mind the way he did it. I thought it was
awesome that his family got involved. I just think preferably
for him it would have been a Wednesday. That's that's
just my but he ran out of Wednesdays, and so
now the news will be hijacked by NFL free agency.
That's that's my only thing here. And look for people
(01:46):
that want to, you know, get upset or and say
whatever they oh, you know, but but you actually all right,
first of all, uh J J. Watts, J J. Watt
loves some J. J. Watt. I've been pretty accurate about that,
all right. I've been pretty spot on about the I
think we can all see. I mean, look like, what
does he the guy's taking ice, bas Like, what is
he what is he going to race in the ideata
Rod like, what are we doing here? Does it make
(02:09):
any sense? I'm not gonna go there. I'm just gonna
say this. I was shocked that when he did announce
where he was going, not by the fact that he
saigned with the Cardinals, but by the fact he had
a shirt on. He had a gigantic Arizona Cardinals shirt
on while back squatting, which was a flex of its own,
but just the fact that he posted that picture to
announce it and he was actually had a shirt on.
(02:31):
It's just it's just so nauseating. And here's the you
know what. You know what My first thought when I
saw J. J. Watt with the shirt on squatting announcing
his and then he had his whole source me like,
oh oh, you beat Adam Schefter and the boys to
the punch so impressive. You know. My first thought was,
(02:51):
I guarantee you that wasn't the first take. Guaranteed guaranteed
if you go through his camera role, he's got four
five different versions of that and that's the one he
settled on. I guarantee. Let's just peel back the curt say.
You're a big workout guy. You take a lot of
videos and photos of yourself. So I'm sure you've got
a lot of experience to back squatting and trying to
(03:13):
take your selfies of yourself with pounds on your back. Yeah. Absolutely, Yeah,
that that's that's me right away. You know definitely. By
the way, is there a worse exercise for your back
than squat? But what is he doing? Man? Yeah, I
mean I don't know. Yeah, it's strengthens your legs. I
don't know if there's a worse exercise. Someone said, there's
there's no better exercise. No, no, But I'm staying for
(03:35):
your back like I've heard it tears up your back
like like just yeah, I would be I would be
one in that category. I actually herd ad two disc
in my back when I was with the Rams, literally
warming up backsquatting, so that that that started a very
much downward spiral to a quick death of my career
in the NFL. But which was it might have been
already over by that point, but it was definitely over
(03:56):
after that. Did you order the chair I recommended? Did
you get it? You know what I did? Um mixed
opinions right now. Uh, look, it's a kneeling chair. Just
for those who are curious as to what exactly Jonas
was referring town. Yeah, this is the second recommendation Jonas
has given me. The first was a squatty potty, all right,
(04:16):
and that quickly, as I documented, I threw it in
the Actually I threw it into recycle bin because it
was made of wood and I want to make sure
I recycled it. But that was quickly disposed of. That.
That's the biggest bunch of crap pun intended. Is the
squatty potty? Okay, the kneeling chair. Actually think it's not
not too bad. It's not too bad, alright, So so
(04:38):
let me just clear up a couple of things here.
Number one, Uh, the squatty potty is a thing that
elevates your feet when you're using the restroom, and that
the idea is it trains your body to to go
the right way. Because can I take a little research,
I've done it. There's something just I just want to
close because there's there's probably some people out there that
(04:58):
that are thinking, all right, you know what, it's like
the perfect Easter gift, you know, and they're they're you know,
running through their mind like ideas and instead of having
an Easter egg hung because of COVID. You know, they
can't hide Easter egg. So they're like, all right, well,
let's just hide a squatty potty. So this is so
so that so it trains you. Yeah, it's like he
has risen. Right, that's typical phrasing Christianity. And you've never
risen your feet. Your feet have risen. And unfortunately for Brady,
(05:21):
because he gave up on it too soon. Uh, he's
been wearing dark under where ever since. And I think
we I think we can do the map there, all right,
I don't think we can do the back. Here's the research.
Most standard toilets are at a certain height because they're
at a certain heights. So they actually accomplished that same
tool you bought into for whatever reason, essentially getting that
(05:42):
that barbell off your back and back squatting, you just
converted it to essentially a three to a ten minute
hold on the squatty potty go in the bathroom. That's
what you did. Well, listen, I just I wanted to
look out for the well being of the washing machine,
and so that's why I decided to go that. Actually,
know what my biggest gripe was with it? I have
got big feet, and I couldn't really like fit on there,
(06:05):
like it was just it wasn't I'm not just saying
like that was the biggest thing. Was I needed, Like
I needed a more and more service area for the
squatty party feet couldn't fit on there and squat down
and feel like I'm two feet tall and trying to
go the bathroom. And now the kneeling chair for those
that aren't familiar, it forces you to have good posture,
because that's how a lot of back problems can start
(06:26):
as people have bad posture to where you're hunched over.
I have terrible postures sometimes and I've been trying to
work on it because my my back flares up from
time to time. So the kneeling chair, it seems uncomfortable
at first, and then once you sort of gain your
balance and you find the proper height in which you
use it, it's really effective because there is no back
on the chair, and you would think, oh my god,
I'm gonna fall off. You don't. You just have to
(06:48):
find the proper height and it trains you to to
to keep your back straight and it takes a lot
of the stress off being hunched over. That you normal
that people normally are. They're sitting in the chair. Here's
here's the conclude. The verdict is still out on that.
I'll let you know. I don't think this one's gonna
make it to the trash. However, we're talking a lot
apparent ways and helping your back or hurting your back.
(07:08):
You know, it's back is Ryan Fitzpatrick. He's back in
the league. That is true. That that is very true.
And now I and I do want to talk about
Ryan Fitzpatrick. All right. I definitely want to have that
conversation about Ryan Fitzpatrick. Uh and and and I want
to do that with you. But I do think that
it is fair if you don't mind. I think that
it is fair that we have this discussion because, as
(07:29):
you pointed out, there's a lot of Tennessee Titans fans
listening to the show. Correct, all right, there's a lot
of Titans fans, a lot of you know, Tennessee Titans
fans who love Clay Travis. He's a season ticket holder
for the Tennessee Titans, and so there they normally hear
the rave reviews about the Tennessee Titans, and for good reason,
they've been a pretty successful franchise. Yeah, Bud Dupree, big
(07:52):
time contract coming off an injury. What do you get
five years eighty five million? I think I saw something
like that, big massive contracts. So it feels like they're
path for us just gonna get a little bit better. Uh.
And the reason it's going to get a little bit better,
Brady Quinn, is because well, I can't get worse. I mean,
let's be honest. When you're in a bidding war for
Jadevion Clowney before the season, you know, that's kind of
an indicator that that that your pass rush isn't all there,
(08:15):
So the defense feels like it's gotten better. You pointed
something out to me that I actually think it's a
legitimate question. Is it too late? Meaning has the window
already closed for Tennessee? Have they already peaked? And I
think there's legitimate reason to be concerned that maybe the
Tennessee Titans opportunity to really cash in in the a
(08:37):
f C just passed by in the last two seasons.
I know that's not gonna make us very popular in Nashville.
I get all that people are gonna be bothered by
Titans fans are gonna be bothered. But the truth has
to be told, Brady Quinn. And if we're the guys
to do it, then we're the guys to do it.
I think it's a fair question to ask, Well, I'll
freeze it in this way. Okay. I think this upcoming
season is the biggest in the Tennessee Titans history as
(09:02):
an organization. Okay, uh, at least looking forward, like this
season is huge in the sense of they were nine
and seven four years in a row, which is good
in some respects. I mean, it's incredibly hard to do
to be, you know, a winning team that consistently in
the NFL, and then they burst it into an eleven
(09:23):
five record last year heading into the playoffs winning the division.
So to be that consistent to then cap it off
winning the division the way they did last year and
get into the playoffs, those are all steps. They're incremental steps,
and they did so last year having a god awful defense,
and so I'm sure Tennessee Titans fans are probably listening saying, yeah, Like,
(09:45):
now that I think about it, it was actually remarkable.
I mean, Derrick Henry has been a stud now for
the past two or three years, since we've gotten Ryan Tannehill.
We've had a legitimate chance. Corey Davis, who granted is
now a free agent, just left and signed elsewhere, I
believe what the Jets. But still he kind of emerged,
he developed over his time there. I think it's a
good sign for other young wide receivers with within the
(10:07):
Tennessee Titans. But this is a huge year. I mean
to me, this is kind of that almost maker break year.
And in a sense too, because tannon Hill has been
there now for a couple of years, you're probably starting
to formulate an opinion as of, well, is this as
good as we're gonna get with him? Or can he
still take us there? We just need a little bit
better team around him. Here's why I'm a little bit
(10:29):
optimistic about the Titans. Okay, the Houston Texans are in
complete disarray, all right, Like they're the team that largely
has been competitive up until last year with the Titans
for the a f C South Division. So there. I
don't want to say they're out, but it ain't looking good. Okay,
even if the Shawn Watson's back, it's a first year,
(10:50):
first time head coach, and David Culley. Everything seems like
it's a mess around Deshaun Watson, and I don't even
know if he's gonna play, If if he's gonna hold out,
the trade him, what happens. So I'm just to say
they're out. Okay, they're they're booking for a fourth or
third in the division. You've then got the Colts, which
I know people are high on the Carson Wentz trade,
and you look at what they got the offensive line
(11:11):
and everything else. I don't know that that's an upgrader
for Philip Rivers. Like, I'm sorry, based on what I
saw last year, there's a lot Frank Reich's gonna have
to fix. And I think Stanza, your left tackle, he's
not there anymore. They're contemplated moving Quentin Nelson out from
left guard to left tackle. I don't know that that's
a great move. So I've got some questions about the Colts,
(11:31):
and you look at the Jaguars. Look Ierma Meyer just
got there. I think so far they started to spend
make some more moves, at least reportedly over the last
twenty four hours. But you know, even let's just assume
Trevor Lawrences the quarterback, he's still a rookie. Even if
he has a phenomenal year like Justin Herbert did last year,
that might only be seven and nine. So I think
this division is once again right for the taking. You
(11:54):
look at the addition of Bud Dupree and then Deniko Achre, you,
by the way, is one of the more underrated signing
and players that I think is really gonna help out
their front. You got buddypre off the edge autry kind
of helping out against the run as well as as
a Russia He's a solid player. But the thing that
I like about what the Titans did is sometimes it's
not who you sign, it's who you let go. And
(12:15):
Malcolm Butler, Kenny Vaccaro, just some of the players in
the second there, they really haven't played up to snuff.
Like that's been the area I think of concerned when
you look at teams going into you know, play the
Tennessee Titans. Not only one does it helped have a
pass rush to at least, you know, not have to
have those guys cover as long. But the reality is
none of it's worked out. A lot of the guys
(12:35):
they've signed the back end to me haven't been great.
So they're moving off from some of the right players too,
But I just I really do feel like since making
it to a super Bowl like this is that next huge, crucial,
pivotal year for the Tennessee Titans. You know, in their
history as Titans. I'm not talking about oilers and all
that go dating back to Houston. I'm just saying since
(12:56):
they've been in Nashville, this is a huge year in
my and and so I would say they're the favorite
to win the division and then it's about figuring out
how to make a run. And I think if it
doesn't work out this year, they're gonna look back two
years and two years ago and say, we had Kansas
City on the ropes. We let them back in, We
let them win that game. That that was that that
(13:17):
was the moment. That was our moment to have another
shot to get into a super Bowl, winning super Bowl. Yeah,
the best they're going to do this year's third in
that division. I'll say it. Nobody else has to say it.
I'll be the bad guy. Best they're going to do
his third And here's why Indianapolis is going to win
the division. I think Jacksonville is gonna surprise some people,
and I think I think Tennessee is going to finish
third ahead of Houston. That's what I think. I I
(13:40):
just I don't buy into it. Um if I was,
if I'm Mike Rabel and you're a defensive guy, and
you see what your defense has been over the past
couple of years. I know that they've gotten better, but man,
you were you had a deep run in the postseason
a couple of years ago. Um, you had a home
playoff game last year and they got absolutely wiped out.
And say whatever you want about the final score. Tannehill
(14:02):
couldn't get anything done on offense. I love Derrick Henry,
but how long can you continue to rely on him
before It's just it's too much to ask for one guy.
I just I don't buy it, Man, I don't. I
don't buy Tennessee. And and I'll just be and I'll be,
you know, completely honest with you. Part of the reason
I don't buy Tennessee's because I didn't buy him last
year and they proved me wrong. So I'm not for revenge.
(14:22):
Brady Quinn, I'm sorry. I'm gonna get this one right eventually.
I love Mike Gravel as a coach. I do worry
about losing Arthur Smith. You know, he took the head
coaching job in Atlanta. I think he's done an unbelievable
job playing to the strengths, not putting his players in
particular on offense, and really Ryan tanne on the bad spot.
I mean, if if you look at Tannehill's ascent or
(14:43):
how well he's played when you broke break it down,
he's statistically been a top ten quarterbacks since he's gotten Tennessee.
And look, a lot of it has to do with
the fact that they've got an unbelievable running game. But
still he's done his part as well. So how did
the over come that? What does this offense look like?
That to me is gonna be their biggest question mark,
(15:05):
at least offensively. It's not so much the players, but
more who steps into that role, how well of a
job they do. And then on defense, obviously looking at
you know, the additions, how big of an impact will
bud to pre be able to make off the torn
A c L And then looking at guys like Dni
go Autry and whoever else stand up atting the draft
and free agency that that's the area where they need
to improve the most, at least on the roster. By
(15:25):
the way, how much of Malcolm Butler's contract that he
signed with Tennessee, that ridiculous contract he signed. How much
of a cut did Belichick get for not revealing the
real reason that he was bench for the Super Bowl.
I mean, I'm just surprised that hasn't come out yet. Yeah,
you know, because there's something happened, Like I just I
don't believe that it was just well, you know, it's
just we felt like it was a better because wasn't
(15:46):
that was against Philly, right and Nick? They threw for
like five yards or whatever one like they could the
defense couldn't stop him. Otherwise Brady would have another super Bowl.
Like I just wanted, like, what was the real reason
that Malcolm Butler got bench for that game? I have
no idea, Uh, but it is Uh, it's it was
just about punishing him for being later missing the team
(16:06):
flight to to the super Bowl site. I don't know,
I can't I can't quite recall what it was for man.
Uh that that seems a little bit petty. I'm just
saying just a little bit petty. What I mean, as
as great as Belichick's resume is to think like they
could maybe have one more too. You know, maybe one
more listen, but you know what, he kept his mouth shut,
and Malcolm Butler became a millionaire. And by the way,
(16:29):
he's not the only millionaire, because it's possible to have
another millionaire, Brady Quinn, because you can join Fox Sports

Coming up next though, Uh he is back, Uh somebody
is back in the NFL and its history being made
and a potential threat in the NFC. We'll tell you
(17:37):
who it is next year. On fs ARE, this is

(18:19):
Coming up here, we'll call it a little over ten
minutes from now here on fs ARE. Just a terrible,
terrible idea by a future Hall of Famer, a future
first ballot Hall of Famer in the NFL. An awful idea.
We'll have that for year at ten minutes from now
on Fox Sports Radio, Brady Quinn, I was under the
impression that Ryan Fitzpatrick was retiring. I saw a report
(18:40):
that he was retiring, all right, I know, why were
you under that impression? There was a report that he
was going to call it quits, like like somebody had
that out there that he was that that that he
was done with it, that he was gonna walk away.
Next thing, you know, he's the brand new quarterback for
the Washington football team, team number nine in Ryan Fitzpatrick's career.
(19:01):
Uh so now he takes over in Washington. Uh, the
report is it's a one year deal. He's going to
be Uh he's gonna come in as a starter, but
they are gonna have a competition him and Taylor Heineke.
I'm just gonna start calling him Heineken because I I
want to do it every single time. I'm just gonna
start calling him that. But nonetheless, it feels like Washington
(19:23):
upgraded a quarterback with with Fitzy. If he can just
not turn the ball over, maybe Washington's a legit threat
in the NFC. Brady Quinn with that defense, I mean,
they won the division last year. Um and so it
it got them that far with that defense and the
ability to run the football. It's interesting. I mean, the
signing for for starters, it's pretty incredible to think about
(19:44):
his career nine different teams he's going to play for.
He's made over seventy two million dollars, Like it's incredible
to think about the way he's got about doing it.
And look, many people will look at his career and
say he was never really that you never that good
enough to be the guy for any long period of time.
But he's been good enough to keep a job in
(20:04):
the NFL. And that's really the difference between Ryan Fitzpatrick
playing for one team for nine years or nine teams
you know, uh, a year apiece. It's the fact that
in his best play, he can win you some football games.
But he hasn't been able to play that way consistently
enough to get teams to want to buy in on him. However,
(20:24):
I don't know that you could have went from a
better person, and I'm not saying that Fitzpatrick is, but
going from Alex Smith to Ryan Fitzpatrick, that's pretty darn good.
As far as for that quarterback room. He he brings
all the right and tangibles, the way he handles himself,
He understands the position that he's in. He knows they're
gonna draft a quarterback um probably in the first round,
(20:47):
depending on who's there and who's available, and who they like.
He understands that he went through that last year with
the Miami Dolphins with two song by low and even
though he was upset about it and felt like he
should have still been playing. And it's hard to argue
that by the way they started going on a windstreak,
he was playing well when they decided to make the switch.
But it felt like that was pre planned because of
(21:08):
the way the schedule got impacted in Miami with their
bye week moving up due to issues with COVID. Really
from other teams. Uh, it felt like that was what
the Dolphins wanted to do all along. So the truth
of the matter is he'll he'll start the season the guy,
but at some period in time they're they're gonna want
to put in whoever they end up drafting to be
(21:28):
the guy. I would be very surprised if the Washington
football team goes through this season with Ryan Fitzpatrick, UH,
the Taylor Heineke, and Kyle Allen as their quarterbacks. They've
got to draft one this year. And I know, look,
people of you know they just drafted Dayne Haskins. That
didn't work out. But Dan Schnyder means to stay stay
(21:48):
out of that decision, and I think they'll be okay.
By the way, I wonder how many people know that
Ryan Fitzpatrick was drafted by the St. Louis Rams, Like,
that's how long he's been in the league for He's
drafted by St. Louis And two you know he played
for Harvard. Didn't know that. I didn't know that. Yeah,
I had no and an hes chest hair. I didn't
I didn't know you had chest hair either. I couldn't
tell if it was his beard or chest hair, like
it just one that that is a revolting look. By
(22:14):
the way, I know everyone thinks it's funny that he
like he opens that's just because you're trying to wax
and shave gross man. It's like, look, it should not
look like you've got a sweater on underneath your button
up shirt. It shouldn't look you imagine how uncomfortable that
was in Miami, more Tampa for them, God or Houston
(22:35):
or any other place with that type of humidity. I mean,
just man, he's he's got to at least trim his
armpit hair because with that chest hair and the beard
and everything else going on. That's just you're just you're
begging Bo to take place. You're like, please give me
Bo like you, You've got to groom himself under his
arms at least a little bit, you know. Listen, Look,
(22:56):
this is what I do, all right, this is what
I do, Brady Quinn. A lot of people want to
break down what it means to the Washington football team.
I'm just simply trying to break down why I think
he might m BO. You just want him to put
on it on his beard, on his chest, that's what
you're saying. You're saying, you're saying, trim the armpit hair,
but then just applied to it and everywhere else. By
the way, listen, I have no idea he we can
do whatever he wants to do. But if he's got Bo,
(23:18):
stay the hell away from me. I'll just and maybe listen.
Maybe that's why he's gone from so many teams, because
maybe he does that Bo and teams like, listen, man,
we love what you do for is she got over
too on her career touchdown passes? You know, but but
it smells, uh you know, like like like a homeless
guy bathing and cheeseburger oil when you walk by, so
we would appreciate it if you just left the building
and moved on to somewhere else. Is he the the
(23:40):
seventh round draft pick back in two thousand five? He
was a part of the Alex Smith Aaron Rodgers draft class.
So when you look at those quarterbacks, he's has he
had a better career than Alex Smith? Like, if you
you don't think he's had a better career thanx Smith,
could you at least contemplate it? At least contemplated No, Alright,
(24:02):
that was a terrible question. I'm just asking to listen to. Alright, Alright,
more impressive career for a seventh round pick from that
draft class? Matt Castle or Ryan Fitzpatrick? Ryan Fitzpatrick, I mean,
Castle did take a team to the playoffs, and you know,
I think he's I believe he had a Pro Bowl year.
But yeah, I think Ryan Fitzpatrick kind of stood the
(24:23):
test of time. Um does this? Uh see? I believe
the Dallas Cowboys are the best team in the NFC East, right,
I believe the Cowboys are going to win the division.
But I do think this makes it a little bit
more difficult. I think the Giants might have something to
say we all agree. Philadelphia seems like they're in a
tough spot. Um, but if you were, You're at a
betting window in Las Vegas and they're like, you know,
(24:45):
Mr Quinn, we appreciate you coming in, thank you for
wearing a mask. Uh, you know, and you put down
a Hunter Bucks and they say, you gotta pick one
team to win the NFC East. Who's Brady Quinn taken
right now, in this very moment to win the East? Well,
he might be shocking to you. And I know there's
some people who feel different, but it would be Dallas. Yeah,
I mean, Dallas is the most talented team. I'm giving
(25:06):
Mike McCarthy a pass based on how last year went.
I think it's it was tough for Anny coach taking over. Uh,
you know, with COVID and everything else. Now. I know
Kevin Stefanski had a phenomenal year in his first year
with the Browns, but that was a dead team was
kind of set up to do that. Um, you know,
I really thought they could have been that team the
year before, but maybe it was just a year too soon.
(25:27):
The Dallas Cowboys should and I think they will. And
anyone who thinks just because the Dak Prescott contract, like
that's gonna stand in their way, Like, I'm sorry, you
don't understand how contracts and the cap works. He actually
essentially lessened his cap hit because they weren't letting to
become a free agent. They're probably gonna have the franchise
tag him, so now actually cost less against the Caps,
(25:49):
so they have more space to sign guys. But the
reality is, as long as he comes back healthy and
they make the right additions on defense to help out
that group, this is gonna be a really good foot
all team. That's my favorite. That's one of my favorite
versions of Brady Quinn is when he sees somebody have
a take of football take that he completely disagrees with,
(26:10):
and you don't even give them the respect to name them.
You just dismissed the entire thing altogether. And you say,
by the way, if anybody thinks that that contract is
gonna get in the way, you don't know how contracts work.
I just I love when you take that approach. I
I love a little P and V and Brady Quinn
in the morning, you know what I mean. Went from
being about thirty seven thirty eight million this year under
(26:30):
the franchise tag for a second year versus now that
it will be like two million. They technically save themselves
about sixteen million in cap space with putting him into
this long term deal or I should say four year deal.
So again, it was a good move. The Cowboys had
to make it at this point in time. DA's their
guide and he's proven it. He I actually think the
(26:51):
injury might have been the most influential thing in this
whole contract because it allowed them to see what their
team was like without him. I mean, he played great
up to that point, and then without them they absolutely
fell apart. Well, what do you mean? I thought Andy
Dalton could step right in and do it, DAC what
does because Dak Prescott's a game. I'm so happy you
mentioned his name. You know who's looking at Andy Dalton
right now. I don't want to talk about this Chicago Bears, baby,
(27:12):
that's right, that's right, Yeah, I don't want to talk
about your guy, Ryan Pace. What a what an armpit
fart of an organization? They are? They are awful. They're
the diaper fire of the NFL. You know what, what's
the what's the piece? Got a great head of hair,
I'm telling you him less sneed. There's there's a few gms.
When you see him at the combine, walk around, you
have a chance to speak with them, you just become
(27:33):
enamored with their hair. Oh let me just all right,
we'll get to that in a second. Here, all right,
Brady Quinn Jonas knocks here on Fox Sports Radio. I honest,
I don't understand what's happening. Uh coming up next here
on FS are we are going to to address that
situation because I don't understand it. It doesn't make any sense.
We'll have that for you. But for all the latest
from around the world of sports, ladies and gentlemen, A
(27:54):
man who does make sense here on how kicked the
coverage on Fox Sports Radio. Pay your damn respects to
Edman Garcia. I appreciate it, Jonas, and I am hitting
refresh every few moments to see if we get that
Andy Dalton news to the Chicago Bears, and if we do,
I will let you know immediately. Thank you. Eddie. By
the way, Brady, this uh the Tom Brady give it
out his phone number. Thing. What do you think? What's
(28:16):
the scam like? This is any sense to me? What
do you think it's interesting? Only because I mean you could,
you could do it. You can get in touch with
your fans or people a lot of different ways, clearly
social media, right, that's that's one way of doing it.
And you can still message people and they can send
you photos or whatever you want. Right, that's one way.
(28:37):
But the difference is is like you've got to use
someone else's platform in order to do so. I think
the interesting thing about what he's doing is he's he's
taking over control of this, like he's he's kind of
taking in his own if you would like data by
allowing someone By the way, if you get a text
message response from Tom Brady, which can you do this
(29:00):
for me? Can can someone look up Tom Brady's cell
phone number and when you text him right now, Jonas
and see if you get a reply. And um, and
here's what I want you to do. Because we've got
about a little bit a little bit more than an
hour left in the show. Please we can look up
the number. I want you to text him something. Tell
us what you text and if you get a response,
because I don't feel like there's any way with the
(29:21):
amount of text messages he's going to receive. Her phone
calls for that matter, that he could possibly be replying
to them himself, like it's just impossible. So someone's doing
it for him, And so that leads me to think
that they're gonna figure out some way of monetizing this
or using that dat are using it and stripping away
(29:44):
any other intermediary or like any other third party from
playing a factor. Like it's such an This is like
what you do back in two thousand, not in one.
It's it's an odd thing, but I am curious to
see what comes from it. Yeah, now, should I send
him the meme that I sent you a couple days ago?
(30:04):
You want him? I can't recall what memes are you
talking about? Just the just the three of us looking
at each other? You know, I don't I don't recall.
Can you describe a little bit more? So? I don't
want to. I don't want to. Yeah, I don't want to.
But you're not You're not really jogging my memory right now.
You've got to be a little more. By By the
by the way, Roberto are technical producer. Thank you for
(30:27):
texting me his number. Why don't you text him? Roberto?
All right? Why do I got to be the one
to do it? Can we all can we all send
him a text message? Yeah, let's start a text chain.
Everybody on the show. Should we started texting? Yeah? Tom?
What are you? Tom? What are you doing? At eight
fifteen Eastern time? You want to break down free agency?
Like come on? Like what wait, Roberto? You gonna text him?
(30:50):
I'm not texting him. I don't want to do it.
All right, just text him and that, but text him
something in Spanish. What he writes back all right, yeah,
but nothing inappropriate? Al right, nothing that you would normally said.
So I would usually say he might know a little
bit of Spanish, right, but really be more Portuguese because Brazilian.
(31:11):
So it's a very good probably I don't know either.
So there's crossover right between the yeah, a little bit. Yeah,
there's there a little bit of that. But yeah, Roberto
is going to a text Tom Brady and see what
the results are. By the way, the four one five
area code that's the Bay Area. You know, he wanted
to make it seem legit because he's from the Bay Area,
so so that you know that it seems like it's
(31:31):
got a little bit a little bit there. And by way,
be careful which Bay area referred to because he does
play in Tampa Bay and said a lot of people,
if they're in Florida right now, even though they know
that's not their area code four one five, if you
just say the Bay area, they'll be thinking like, oh,
you mean like like Tampa Bay, Like what wouldn't know that?
I mean, like like San Francisco Bay Area. Understand what
(31:52):
you're saying. California, you know, the home of It's northern
California where Ward Newsome lives. You know, hopefully going to
let us out into the wreck yard. Have you guys
been outside yet? I have no idea. Yeah, to be like,
I feel like I'm in Shawshank. You know. It's just well,
just make sure you wear a couple of masks, maybe three,
(32:12):
you know, because you get out for an hour at
a time. But I mean, you know, some some Californians
you know, you know, took a rock hammer to the
wall and then climbed through and now they're in Texas. Uh,
you know, so that happened. But but we'red Newsome hopefully
going to let us out to play for longer than
an hour in the wreck yard. I saw they might
actually know what there's like a petition going around. Maybe
you guys get the revotees see if you still stay
(32:34):
or something. It's it's I have no idea, it's just uh,
it's just a very very weird time here. But nonetheless,
we will let you know what. Tom Brady writes back
to Roberto, who is going to message him in Spanish.
Uh here on Fox Sports Radio, Roberto. I'm looking over
Roberto's shoulder right now. It's a bunch of curse words
in Spanish with tuck rule in the middle of the second.
(32:54):
That's true. Yeah, so we picked the worst possible candidate
to Texas. Brady go WAYU was bs? You fumbled? Oh
my god, I feel like I got automatically what's up? Yes?
And then a word that rhymes with bluetoel. You actually
gotta respond? Yeah, yeah, yeah, it says what's up? Yes?
(33:15):
This is actually Tom Rady. Yeah, sure it is. This
message is automated, but everything else will come directly from
me on my phone. Click the link and add yourself,
so you're in my context. Yeah, come on. Yeah. Someone
explained to me, like, like, what the point is. I
really don't understand unless they're collecting like data from whoever
is texting, because obviously there's information with you know what self,
(33:39):
you know number and subscriber it is, and so maybe
they're collecting the data of who their fans are and
the demographics that go along with that and sell it.
That's what companies do now, like even insurance companies, like
of course you're paying them for insurance and they're taking
all your information and they're selling it out to other people.
Have you It's all about data info? Man? Have you
seen that? Have you had this hap them before? Where
(34:00):
you're you're talking about something with with with somebody and
then all of a scally pops up on your phone.
You've seen that? Like so we were talking about Yeah,
not not at all. But I believe that Roberto is
gonna get inundated with TB twelve promos now, So congratulations, Roberto,
(34:21):
You're gonna get uh, you know, like kale ball gags
and stuff sent to you via text message. I'm just like,
I'm just saying like that like that. You never know
a right, Brady Quinn Jonah Stocks on Fox Boards Radio,
All right, coming up next. It is a complete disaster
in the NFL. I have no idea what one team
is doing. We will address it all at the quarterback
(34:43):
position next year. On fs ARE, this is outkicked the
coverage with Clay Traffics coming up ten minutes from now
here on fs ARE, kind of confusing what one franchise
is doing, especially in the a f C. We will
(35:03):
get into that here about ten minutes from now On
Fox Sports Radio, Brady Quinn, Um, can the Bears just
bring back Mitch Rubinsky? I mean, what are we doing here?
Just bring back Mitch? Like, like, what are we doing here?
I think they I think they've moved on. You know,
you've got Nick Foles. They're looking for Andy Dalton, which, um,
(35:24):
I gotta be honest with you. I feel like Mitch
Trobinski coming out of college kind of similar to Andy Dalton,
even though he's more accomplished coming out of TCU. UM
kind of similar players, Like both good athletes, both strong
enough farm to make all the throws. Dalton was and
has been probably more consistent as a passer than Trabinsky
has been. But um, kind of kind of similar. But
(35:44):
the only difference is age experience. And I would venture
to say, um, you know, Dalton's showcase that he could
be a more consistent, better passer over time. But yeah,
I mean, look, at this point, if the Bears don't
get Russell will sin, which it looks unlikely because I
have no idea why Seattle would trade him. It's not
(36:06):
looking good, budd. I have a hard time to admit
this to you. That looks like an organization that has
a lame duck head coaches and the general manager has
been you know, he has been relieved of his duties,
but he's you know, had to relinquish some of his powers.
So it's it's not a good situation if you're embarrassed
man this year. See here's like, if that's the case,
(36:26):
why were they brought back? Don't like if if if
that's where we're at now to where it's just going
to be all right, kind of the same as what
it was last year. You know, maybe the defense is
a little bit better, but hey, we're just gonna come
on back and we're gonna bring in Andy Dalton a court. Like,
if that's the case, why were they brought back? I
(36:46):
don't think. I don't And I also wonder are they
even allowed to trade future first round picks? Did did
ownership step in and say, hey, man, we're not letting
you sabotage the future to go try and chase down
a quarterback, Like, We've give you an opportunity to figure
out the quarterback position. It hasn't worked, so you better
get creative. Well, it's gonna take a bunch of first
round picks in order to land Russell Wilson. So now
(37:09):
the reports are that Andy Dalton is a strong candidate
for the Bears job. Britty, I don't know that Andy
Dalton is better than Trabinsky, Like, I really don't know,
And it looked last year. I think Trabisky had a
better year than they Hady Dalton did. I just I
don't know. I don't know. He probably did it. I
would go as far as saying this, you know, outside
of a few players like Darnell Moody in the fifth
(37:30):
round last year, he's been solid. Uh, Anthony Miller has
been pretty good. Um, it was smart to franchise tag
Allen Robinson because he's your most explosive offensive weapon. Cordarrel
Patterson never really worked, you know there. They just couldn't
figure out a role for him. I think David Montgomery's
a good back but has been a great offensive line.
When you start looking through their roster, whether it's the
(37:52):
draft picks, which, again defensively, Rokuan Smith has been great.
That's maybe been about it that you could look at,
and then the fact that you've got Matt Naggy relinquished
his play calling duties to Bill Laser. What are they
hanging their hat on? Like, like, what do they really
have to prove outside of their first year doing well
to say that they should still be there. I don't know.
I'm just glad I'm not a Bears fan. Can you
(38:14):
imagine that being a Bears fan? My god, at that
