Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's out kicked the coverage here Fox Sports Radio. Jonas

decision regarding a quarterback, Cam Newton looking sharp. We got
training camp fights around the NFL. We've also got some

(00:22):
developing news in the world of college football, and Albert
Brier from the mm QB stops by. Oh and don't
forget Animal Thunderdome. All of that coming up next here.
I'll kick the coverage Fox Sports Radio. I'll kick the

you're listening to Fox Sports Radio. Very very bizarre circumstances

(01:02):
in the NFL. We'll try and get to the bottom
of all of it. Coming up here in just a
couple of moments from now it is I'll kicked the
coverage here on Fox Sports Radio. He's LaVar Arrington. That
guy's Brady Quinn. I'm Jonas Knox Is is fs ARE.

(01:23):
your Friday morning. The weekend starts now. We take you
all the way up until nine am Eastern time, six
A Pacific right here on Fox Sports Radio. And what
the hell is happening on a Friday? Because Brady Quinn, uh,
just to give me the heads up if the show
is any indication as to what we have just gone
through in the studio. Technically, this is going to be

(01:45):
a full fledged disaster. Hold on like the Philadelphia Eagles
right now, Brady, let status check. You almost fell into
your chair, died yesterday to days ago. What's happening back
in studios? Well, I don't want to go into too
many details. It could it could be incriminating on me

(02:08):
in terms of you know what I got going on here?
If I seem like I'm complaining because it could be bad.
Let's just say this. Let's just say this. Um, the
microphone that I'm supposed to be using, well I'm not
using it. The seat, the original seat that I'm supposed
to be using. Um, well I'm not using it. You know,

(02:30):
some some technical difficulties. I have to make sure I'm
careful because I don't have my microphone control in front
of me. Where, um, Jerry grigging is what they call it,
isn't it? Yeah, something like that. Yeah, it feels like
it feels like I'm the Philadelphia Eagles right now. And
a man, I'm glad we brought that up because as

(02:51):
I was watching last night, I was thinking to myself,
as preseason, no really cares that much. Fight like it's
it's preseason. But when you're a first time head coach
and you take a beating like this, Nick Sirianni is
gonna have to respond. I mean, they're owing to so far,
they haven't looked good in the preseason, and I feel

(03:12):
like this is this kind of thing where and maybe
we talked about it a little bit with Jacksonville and
and the Jaguars how they looked first Cleveland and their
first preseason game. But when you're trying to set a
standard and build a culture, you can't accept this, even
in the preseason. You can't accept this. And I know
Jalen Hurts didn't play. But at no point in time,
at no point time put any points on the board.

(03:35):
You've got shotguns, snaps going to fly it over your
quarterback's head. It looks sloppy. They look terrible. Philadelphia looked
like they might be one of the worst teams in
the NFL this year based on how they've looked so
far in the first two games. Oh Mile Sanders had
a productive here's Davante Smith looked. Okay, okay, it does

(03:56):
mean something though, right, Like, if you guys ever been
on a team that's been blown out in the preseason
everyone preseason team too, and and we, like I said,
we we would have had eight wins in total that
entire year if you counted then those eight and twelve
Washington football team. But I just like the idea that well,

(04:19):
you know, you just you know, to kind of toss
it to the side. There's no way that's a fun
place to be coming up later today. They just can't be.
There's no way that you get there and they're gonna
feel good about what that what happened last night, because
that was the kicker for the Patriots either, right, I mean,
it just probably won't. I mean, well, well, what's his name?

(04:40):
Will you have a job today? That's the cutthroat part
about kickers. What's your stance on that. By the way,
I think they're people too. I will say that they
are people. But I will say this, I've only met
a few football players. Like Jay Feeley was a football

(05:00):
Jay Hall, John Hall was a football player. But like
most of them, are just people that put uniforms on
and come out and kick for a football team. That's
that's how I view kickers. I've got mad respect because
a Phil Dawson hit a clutch kick on the road
on Monday Night football to give me my first win.

(05:21):
So and plus he was he was just that older vet,
just had it all together, good leader, good guy. And
then Matt Prator. You talk about absolute bombs. I mean
he hits so many clutch kicks over the course of
the of the Tebow Mania and Denver I remember watching
that kid. It was absolute stones walk out there every

(05:42):
time and look, maybe at that point Tebow got Prator
to convert. He was just a believer and he knew
that there was divine intervention and that ball is going
in no matter what. But he would go out there
and drop bombs, whether it was to go into overtime
or win in overtime or win at the run end
of regulation. Uh. I love Prayer. Prayer was a good dude,

(06:03):
and he's a hell of a kicker. But Brady, you
do have to admit you're you're kicking the ball. Like
you want to know what dropping bombs is is when
LaVar Arrington is coming to hit Brady Quinn and he
drops a bomb, you know, you know, like to me that,
like when you're kicking the ball, It's like that is

(06:25):
all you do is kick the ball, like it is
the same exactly. You can expect the same exact situation.
I'm gonna take my steps. I count my steps. I
kicked the ball. You have to deal with like, Okay,
maybe there's a bad snap, maybe there's windy conditioned, maybe
there's a bad hole. I get all of that. I

(06:46):
really do. Like I'm sympathetic to that. I do not
want to sound like I am a hater of specialists,
because you are a specialist. But I gotta deal with
being able to cover Santana Mass or Randy Moss in
the slot, or or Shannon Sharp or Tony Gonzalez and
and and you know, algae crumpler. I gotta be able

(07:06):
to cover them, dudes. I gotta be able to get
off a block of Mark Brunner or you know, get
off of the block of Hutchinson or something, you know
what I mean. Like, I gotta deal with offensive lignement.
I gotta deal with a Sam Gash, I gotta deal
with a fullback coming up. They're allowed to chop block you,
by the way, they're allowed to double team you. I've

(07:27):
been triple teams. I've been quadruple team before in my career.
I just don't feel as though if I have to
be able to perform and still try to get to
you or to the running back and which by the way,
sometimes it's just as bad getting to a dude built
like you, or a Fred Taylor in the backfield, or

(07:48):
or a Mike all Stock that's in the backfield, and
I gotta take them down once I get through all
the other minutia that's in front of me. I just
don't have a sympathetic bone in my body for guys
that all they have to do is kick the ball,
especially if you lose, especially if you lose a game. Yeah,
but how do you know, the lonely feeling of kicking

(08:10):
into a net on the side and you're right and
all that time that you have to spend at a
two two and a half three hour practice watching right
with with golf clubs? By the way, did your kickers
bring golf clubs? I actually told this, I told this

(08:31):
story before. I remember during training camp in Denver, we
would be like out, you know, meetings and coming in
out from meetings, and they'd be like coming back from
the range because there was a range that was close
to the facility there in Deve Valley. I don't know
if it's there anymore, but I remember thinking, man, that
is the life right there. Like if I come back
and play football, by the way, I think I'm gonna

(08:51):
be a punter because to your point, everything you said
is true, but there's not quite as much pressure on
a paw on the kick the ball, get off the
field exactly. And I don't know that Pat McAfee that's
the home he shots up, you know, and he made
it fun. Yes, And then think about like outside of

(09:11):
probably what that Michigan Michigan State game where a blocked
punt ended up being the difference in that game there's
not too many times you're saying, oh, that was the
difference of the game. What was the punt or the
pun whatever that happened on the punt play, It's usually not.
So I think that's one of the best jobs to
have by far, outside of log snapper, which I know
we've we've been right. I mean, unless you play, unless

(09:36):
you play for Dan Campbell, and then yeah, you know,
then you're gonna get punched out and knocked in your
teeth going to the ground, but you're gonna get back
up and you're gonna keep fighting. Forget about your seventeen
year career. Sir, happy day. I hear your walking papers
that you gotta go. Um. But here's the and I
want to make sure, all right, let's do this. All right,
it is out kicked the coverage here Fox Sports Radio.
He's LaVar Arrington. Now that guy's Brady Quinn. I'm Jonas Knocks.

(09:59):
I want to you won't follow up because there is
a Look, I'm not trying to start a conspiracy theory
on this game last night, but I do find it
a little bit I find a little bit interesting that
I want to go. I want to make sure that
we do get into that next year on fs are.
This is the one thing I would ask you. I've
always wanted to know this. Has there ever been a
kicker or a punter who's offered to take part in

(10:21):
practice as a position player on scout team because they
realized we're not doing a whole hell of a lot
and it might be a good look if we step
up to the play. I've had to stand in. I've
seen that. Yeah, I've had to stand in as like
a receiver or quarterback. Yeah, yeah, I actually think as
a wide receiver. I've seen a kicker coming and do

(10:42):
that when we were down a bunch of guys, but
not practice. I've never seen it practice though. We were
down in Denver one time, we had three active wide
receivers going into the game Tebow. Tebow had to play
what well he wanted to, but he liked he had
to play wide receiver, so he went out like as
the fourth wide receiver. And I remember that week in

(11:03):
practice because we were down some disrespective man. That is
one of the most disrespected notes of all time. I'm
just saying he was like, they were like, hey, Tim,
you you know we got the wildcat packaging for you.
But we may need you to go in there and
play wide receiver. And I remember we went with three.
I think one of our wide receivers got hurt and
so we were down to two. So all we had

(11:26):
was any base personnel to wide receiver sets. Then Tibo
when there's a third receiver. It was dire circumstances. So
he was in the running routes and during the game.
But during that week, I think we had one of
our kickers or partners, someone was actually running some routes
to that. Good for him, you know, at least he
stepped up to the plane. You know, he earned that.
That Week's him. My boy, Sean Taylor showed us what

(11:47):
kickers and punters were really they were. That was disrespectful.
I was that Brian was that Brian Mormon was? He
was he the punter from Buffalo. Yeah, let me tell
you something. That guy was on vacation too. And Sean
Taylor ended his life like he destroyed his spirit and
his soul lift in Hawaii to like at the Great

(12:10):
Aloha Stadium with all those fine people. I mean, just
totally disrespect But he wanted the world to know the
truth about specialists, and he revealed it. He unveiled it
in front of the world to see. Oh my god,
he was the grim Reaper with that. He just literally
as you said to his man. And I didn't notice anybody.

(12:33):
I didn't notice anybody step up to defend their teammate
who got leveled by Sean Taylor. Intendency, you got knocked up. Yeah,
you got him, all right? It is. It is after
coverage here on Fox Sports Radio, Lavarrington, Jonas Nocks, Brady
Comy here on fs ARE, I want to let you know,

(12:54):
do you think it's okay to drive stone? The truth
is your reaction time slow way down when you're high
not only put yourself in danger, but everyone around you.
Stop kidding yourself. If you've been using marijuana in any form,
do not get behind the wheel. If you feel different,
you drive different. Drive high. Get a d U I
paid for by Nitz coming up next, though, we have
ourselves a little bit of a conspiracy theory, all right. Now,

(13:16):
this happened in the NFL. Some people are gonna try
and gloss over it. I'm telling you, well, you know,
I mean, listen, it is and just just let everybody
know here. Yeah, better stay off of the weed while
you're driving right, all right? How's that cough? Funn oh no,
oh no, so vulnerable right now? Oh my gosh, all right,

(13:44):
coming up conspiracy. It's out kicked the Coverage on a
Friday on Fox Sports Radio. This this is out Kick
the Coverage. Oh yeah, all god, Brady, I didn't know
you like the song that much. What movie? Come on,

(14:06):
a little movie? What movie? What's the first thing that
comes to mind? Friday? Friday? Friday? I didn't want I
didn't want you how to get stuck. I don't want
to lose any listeners because you missed this one. Listen.
I'm a Player's Club fan myself. You know, one of
the most underrated comedies. I cannot be mad at you
for liking Players Club. By the way, I don't even

(14:27):
know if it's intended to be a comedy, but I
don't know that it was. But what a cast Bernie
mack is so oh my god God. I wish I
could say it, but I can't with that dollar Bill, Yeah,
dollar Bill, who the hell are you talking to? He
talking to your ass? I love Bernie mac Man. Alright, so, um,

(14:50):
it is out keep the coverage here Fox Sports Radio.
LaVar Arrington Jonas knocks Brady quick with you here on
fs are coming up in a little over ten minutes
from now. There are two ways to handle fights at
training camp in practice, and you're gonna hear from two
coaches because they had completely opposite views on how this
should be handled. We'll have that for here ten minutes
from now on fsr UM. I gotta handle it like

(15:12):
a man. Yeah, well, you know, according to uh somebody
in the a f C West, maybe not so much.
You know. Just here's the I'm not trying to start
any sort of scandalous uh, you know, a betting allegation
or anything like that. I'm just simpically going to point
out some facts. Okay, okay, anybody want to tell me

(15:32):
what the hell happened to Jalen Hurts last night? And
while he didn't play, Oh, he had a stomach virus.
He said, Yeah, all of a sudden, got a stomach virus,
like right before kickoff. Um, they sent him when they
made sure it wasn't Yeah, we're sure that's not bubble
guts though, him just being a little nervous or something.
I don't know, but they were. That is stupid. And

(15:54):
let me tell you something man, I was having a
couple of moments in the parking lot before I came in.
I will not tell a lie. You know, some people
go outside to smoke cigarettes. I was outside just you know, yeah,
I was letting a ride. I mean I had to
hit the seven eleven. I was like, why did I
not take a pencil when I got up? That's that's

(16:21):
very gentlemanly of you, though. It's like some people would
bring that right right on in, not even care and
just walking with it too, like like everywhere you go, like, yeah,
where is that trail plane? Its wrapped around you like
a mummy, just a mummy of we were trapping. I
was driving home yesterday. My kids was like, what is that.
I was like, that's a skunk. Something probably got hit.

(16:42):
My mom had sushi lumped in the car. I don't
tell you. Um, if you all see one day on
the road, something is walking around, something really bad, it
was the weed. It was the weed. Here's uh here,
here's my point on this on the Jalen Hurts thing.
So Nick Sirianni comes out afterwards, well, you know, we

(17:03):
took him to the hospital's precaution. He didn't have COVID,
but I had a little bit of a stomach issue.
It's like, okay, but every report out there said he
was out there pregame warm ups. He was excited, he
was jumping around, fired up, getting ready to go, and
then then the business happened in his pants was over. Okay,
but the night was over. You didn't have a change
of pants for him. Listen, everybody listening, everybody listening here

(17:27):
has had that accident happened before. Nobody's gone to the hospital.
Not one single person who had to go to the hospital.
It just doesn't add up to me. And here's the
part that also I feel for if you bet on
that game last night. First of all, if you're betting
on the NFL preseason, you've got problems to begin with. Secondly, okay,
well I didn't bet on it, but I don't know,

(17:48):
but I was. I was on the air when I
saw something happen to the line. So we were on
straight out of Vegas yesterday and about an hour and
a half before kickoff, the betting line was New England
as a favorite. Within the next hour, Philadelphia jumped and
became a one and a half to two point favorite,

(18:10):
which is a significant line move on a preseason game.
So we were talking about on the air, like something
must be up, there's gotta be is there a late
scratch or whatever, only to find out it was Jalen
Hurts who got scratched for Philadelphia. So if you're one
of those people that jumped on the Eagle betting bandwagon
last night because you felt like, oh man, I'm onto something.
The line is moving, only to have Jalen Hurts may

(18:30):
or may not have cracked his pants before the game
and that's why he got pulled from the lineup, you
gotta be just absolutely distraught right now, Brady, absolutely distraught.
And I feel for you, Brady, because I know you
bet on Philippe. I'm not betting on preseason football games.
It just it doesn't end up. So what did it
open out? Okay, it opened with the Patriots like a

(18:51):
one and a half to two point favorite something like that.
Then about an hour before kickoff, they were still a
slight favorite, and then thirty minutes before kickoff, the Eagles
were one and a half to two point favorite. That's
a lot of line movement in sixty minutes, only to
find out that the starting quarterback is out. And I
think they were finished from there. We we talked about
the game, they were not That doesn't even make any sense.

(19:13):
Why would swing in the favor of Philly? That is
a part doesn't make any sense. But I was going
to be the guy on the show yesterday that we
talked about that on this very he was scratched after
all the line move So it's it's almost like somebody
got bad info and jumped on it and said, oh

(19:36):
my god, you know, I'm onto something here. The Patriots
are are planning this or the Eagles have got this
plan and next thing you know, he gets a late scratch.
I guarantee you there are people out there and Nick Sirianni.
Nick Sirianni is gonna is gonna have to answer some
questions because they're gonna be people got the case. It's

(19:56):
not the case. How I racist? I cheered for Italy
in the Europe. I cheered for Italy in the Europe.
You know how Jonas would have bet last night's game? Okay,
he would have. He would have saw the movement, hopped
on the bandwagon, taking the ego, taking the egos at

(20:19):
a point, yes, and then he would have even third. Yeah,
that's how he never just says, okay, I started hedging
the others. Any any guy, any guy listening, as we
keep in the theme of potty talk in the segment,
any guy listening to this right now knows when you've

(20:40):
really got to use a go number one and you
and waiting a while, and you've been on a long
road trip. Nobody just goes in there and does half
and says I'll get the other half later. No, no no, no,
it's all coming out. You were getting all of it out.
And if I'm betting on that last night, I'm going no, no,
no, no no, I'm not just gonna bet the game on Philadelphia.
I'm gonna ride him all the way through the way out. Yeah,
And I would have lost significance amount of money. But

(21:02):
I do believe that Nick Sirianni is going to have
to answer questions from the NFL because they're gonna say, hey,
when did you know that Jalen Hurts was not going
to be a part of this? And and if the
NFL wants to partner up with gambling and all this stuff,
and I mean this seriously, like like they are going
to have to work with these companies to realize if
you start to alienate a significant amount of your fan base,

(21:26):
that that provides a bunch of incoming, a bunch of
income going into the NFL for years to come and
try to build these relationships. You gotta be on the
up and up. And it felt like Nick Sirianni wasn't
on the up and up last night, And you said it,
that's not what I said. That is that well, I
thought my micros off. I'm telling you, if he had

(21:46):
to do that to an Italian person, I'm watching him
very closely for my own personal interest. Dig what I'm saying.
If you dig what I mean, if you're picking up.
He does bring up a good point because we've talked
a lot about the text in situation and like the
NFL not I'm not saying they need to interject, but
if he's on the example list, the Texans know what

(22:07):
the deal is, Deshan knows what the deal is, and
any team looking at trade for him knows what the
deal is. So so I kinda look at this and
I think to myself, like, that's another scenario where if
I'm a gambling outfit and or I'm a partner, because
there are you know now partners, especially with some of
these teams and those majors maybe the biggest partners. They

(22:28):
need clarity, like they need clarity with these situations, especially
when it's in the NFL's control. So Jonas, I think
you're onto something aside from the Italian thing. I think
you're asation the list. You're not going to be able
to go into certain places. Okay, So a couple of
years ago, I company. A couple of years ago, the

(22:52):
Dolphins got got and not in some There was an
investigation that was done because Ryan Tannehill was a full
participant in PRAC this UH leading up to a game,
and then two days later he was ruled out for
the week and there was no update to his injury designation.
And so the NFL talk to the Dolphins and said, hey,
you like, what is going on here? How does he

(23:14):
go from full participant, no injury reported to next thing,
you know, he's out Because and there's been other examples,
Todd Gurley. We never got clarity on Todd Gurley's knee,
Like we never got a true clarity on that. Yeah,
And and it's the part of the reason why Belichick
put Tom Brady on the injury report for years with
the shoulder issue is because they didn't report an injury

(23:37):
and the Patriots gotta talking to and that was then. Nowadays,
you gotta be totally transparent, and I don't think that
they were last night. And people are gonna dismiss it like,
oh well, it's just a preseason game. Do people bet
on these preseason games? You'll know how I know the
line moved two points in an hour like that. It's
a significant amount of movement. And there's some people that
are gonna be piste offset. Listen, I didn't have money

(24:01):
on the game. Maybe you didn't have money in the game,
but you sound very upset, like this could this could
impact you and the future. This needs to be addressed
now before you are the recipient of being upset from
something like this. Taking time, you're being proactive instead of reacting.
A couple a few years ago, remember when Tony Romo
got in trouble because he had some fantasy football convention

(24:22):
you wanted to put on, yeah, and the NFL said no, no, No.
That's because gambling was so taboo. And then all of
a sudden, much like the weed and much like woos
and prohibition, when people are more acceptable because you can
make money off it, right in. The NFL knows it
can make money. Yeah, but it knows it can make money,
and I don't. I've heard, I've watched movies. Yeah, I

(24:42):
mean listen, that is the report. But the NFL knows
it can make money off gambling. If you're if you're
gonna partner with them, you gotta be on the up
and up. And there's gonna be situations and they already
have been where people have not been on the up
and up about about players being made available and when
they're supposed to announce the and make these decisions. And
the fact that he was pulled that soon before kickoff

(25:04):
screwed a lot of people over. A lot of people
got jobbed, got the chaft. Well, I know you're concerned
about that. I'm more concerned about We talked about the
Patriots like previewing that that matchup last night. Did anything
Cam Newton or Mac Jones did. Did that change your
perspective on what you think it's gonna happen once they
get into the regular season. No, I just solidified it.

(25:24):
Matt Jones just got zero chance to be in the
starting quarterback in New England. He's got zero chance but
I like the way he played. He played ball man.
I mean, if you're New England, you gotta feel good
your line blocked. I mean, here's the thing though, Yeah,
that doesn't look like a guy who practiced parents. I
can tell you that right now. That was weird. Um. Listen,

(25:47):
I thought that Mac Jones, if anything, so that he
is legit in terms of being one of the first
guys one the only guy. I think he's like the
only dude that that it's been taken in the first
round by Bill Belichick in the draft. I mean, if
I don't know, we could check the record on that.

(26:07):
But listen, but Cam, you gotta give props where props
or do? It's it's a preseason game. It's still preseason.
But you what you don't want to do is look
like what Philly looked like, right, you don't you don't
want to look horribly bad. You know, you don't have
to look good. You don't just you you don't have

(26:27):
to look great or phenomenal in preseason. You just don't
have to look horrible. And that's the thing, like, don't
look horrible and and they didn't look horrible, So listen,
you gotta be feeling good. Their line block well, they
had a running attack that was that was present. They
were physical, they seemed to be really executing well. Brady.

(26:49):
I mean, when I saw it, it just looked like
this was vintage vintage New England Patriot offense style of offense.
You mixed some good crossing routes. You you had some
some nice you know, reads to the outside with your
runs somewhere downhill in between the tackles. I thought it
was really nice to me. I thought the balance was there.

(27:09):
I thought it was good, and both quarterbacks looked to
be very confident in what it was was that they
were doing. Yeah, the only thing I don't know is how,
you know, Philly approached this game versus how New England did.
And obviously Hurts not being a part of it, maybe
that played an impact. But you know, we talked a
little bit yesterday too about we've only got three preseason games.

(27:30):
Now we don't have four. If there was a game
that was going to be the dress rehearsal, it was
too I think last night was it. It looked like it.
And I remember being with Josh and Denver back in
two thousand and ten and how he prepared that we
going into that third preseason game like it was. Once
we got in the regular season, I was like, oh, yeah,

(27:50):
this is this is what he's looking for, this is
what he wants. And I'm not saying he pulled out
his best stuff, but there's definitely some more game planning.
You could definitely you could tell that, you know, Philly
wasn't necessarily trying to do everything they could do offensively,
not that they had. You know, again, they're starting quarterback,
but still even with the backups, and you're like, all right,

(28:12):
maybe this looks a little bit different that they're playing.
In the course of the regular season, New England was
just icing them up. They were kind of like, Hey,
this is working, this is working. We're gonna call this.
We're gonna call this because, in my opinion, I think
Josh is one of the better play callers, designer of plays,
if you will, and he could figure out how to
get to whatever he wants from whatever personnel grouping, from
all that prestep you know, motion shifts and all that stuff,

(28:34):
and then to do a ton of that last night,
but they could they could show a little bit of
what they're gonna do in the regular season and not
give away too much because I think how creative McDaniels is,
so that was on display a little bit too. Is
just the difference in preparation, and I think how the
Patriots handled that versus how Philly handled that. Do you
think if Denver didn't go the way that it did

(28:54):
for Josh McDaniels, he would get more love as being
a great play caller like Chile, Shannon or Shawn. You
know what's crazy is his So obviously the first year
he got there, they start off six and oh, they're
like the hottest team in the NFL in two thousand
and nine, and then they finished two and eight. And
what happened over that second half is it was the
oddest thing. You know, some of the local media picked

(29:17):
up on him on the sidelines, and he's a fiery guy, right,
like he's from the Bill Belichick tree. He's an Ohio guy.
He's got he's got a little you know, Irish anger
to him and all that. He'd be exploding on the
side on where was that? Come on? Where we got
on the board? Man? Come on? Because Mann, I can't

(29:42):
believe that I got Irish people on my triggered, right.
We tend to be very quickly that was self. He
was using some foul language and that sidelines relatively close
media and people got a little bit of it. And
when people got irritated, they got irritated like he was irritated.

(30:07):
They got like it was it was almost as if
like no, no, no no, that's not what we want out
of our head coach, Like our head coach doesn't talk
like that, doesn't act like that. They literally started to
like build up this anger against him. And I don't
know if it was so much to how the media
took him, because again I didn't think it was fair Brady.
I'm like the way he he was handled. I thought

(30:29):
it was like, well, we're very premature and how how
that was. And he was really forced out because of
public opinion if you asked me, well, that was part
of it. But then the other thing was we did
get caught in London filming the San Francisco for not
his practice. There was like a spy gate, So I
think that may have added to it a little bit
to everybody can loss over that some people can't execute

(30:50):
as high level of doing things the way that you
know it happens in New England between London and low
do you know what I mean? Lower downtown in Denver
and maybe well just you know, never done. Six. Yeah,

(31:10):
let's go with you, as asked Brady about Tracy Morgan's
stay and Neber one time, speaking of the President, he
left the president that speaking of speaking of Jalen Hurts,
all right, it is. I'll kicked the coverage here on
Fox Sports Radio. The things you discover on this show.
And speaking of which, discover matches all the cash back
you earn on your credit card at the end of

(31:31):
your first year. Happy everybody, it is. Yeah. Shots out
to all the high school teams going into war tonight. Man,
good luck to you all. Stay so safe and have
a great time out there. You've earned it. Yeah, Friday
night lights, baby starts. Just smell the popcorn and the
and the cheap burgers they cook on the grill and

(31:54):
man dogs so good. Yeah. Orange pennies in in the
uh pennies in the cartoons. You ever hear about that? Oh? Yeah, yeah, okay, okay, yeah, yeah, yeah.
He didn't play as school football. You don't get it, man,
You ever played the game? Man, you don't know what
that world's like. I missed I was back in Ohio's password.

(32:15):
You could tell man like Ohio it takes their football seriously.
Now LaVar knows you guys. Are you guys originally from Ohio? Brady, Yeah,
let me tell you something when you when you disclosed
your dad's name yesterday and I was like, you have
let me let me tell you something. You have no
choice but to be one bad mother effort. When your

(32:38):
name is Tyrone, Bro, I mean he wasn't marine in Vietnam,
so yeah, real talk bro. When you said that, I
was like, man, let me check this, Like like, my
dad's name is Tyron. I was like, let me check this.
I went to your wicking page. I was like, his
dad's name. I said that he's a guy. That's why
I knew I had the clarity on why you're such
a tough dude. Bro. If your dad's name is like like,

(33:01):
for instance, I'll give you a great example. If your
name is Mike, you gotta be tough, yeah, because it's
so common. But it's like Mike, like Michael, Well it's tough,
but Tyrone. See, I would like to dispute that because
my brother's name is Tyrone, and what the he'll happened
to me? You know what I mean. Yeah, that's that's
a very valid point. I'm totally debon, but I'm the

(33:23):
one percent of the really because I really wanted to
defend you and I couldn't. Brady, I looked, I looked
him in his eyes. I looked in his eyes like
I have no I have no response for you. You
are soft. Let me let me stop there. You have

(33:46):
a barbed wire on your arm. It's an listen. I
have no idea. I talked to uh, you know Jimmy's
tattoo and port White em me right next to not
Snarred where they have a Cowboys training camp. Talked to
him it was his idea. You had a wild night
that day. Yeahn't been a mistake ever since. All Right,

(34:08):
it is I kicked the coverage here Fox Sports Radio.
He's Lavarrington, Brady Quinn, Jonasnoxsally here on FS are coming
up next. Though. There are a couple of ways you
can handle a training camp fight, and these coaches completely
in the opposite direction. We'll have that for you here.
This is out kicked the coverage. Hey, what's up, everybody.

(34:34):
It's me three time Pro Bowl Little Warrington, and I
couldn't be more excited to announce a new podcast called
up on Game. What is up on Game? You asked,
along with my fellow pro bowler t J. Huschman, Zada
and Super Bowl champion. That's right, Plexico burs. You can
only name a show with that type of talent on it.
Up on Game We're going to be sharing our real

(34:56):
life experiences loaded with teachable moment. Listen to Up on
Game with me, LaVar Arrington's, t J. Hutchman's out of
and Plexico Birds on the I Heart Radio app, Apple
Podcast or wherever you get your podcast from. LaVar Come in,
I'm Jonas Knocks. That guy's Brady Quinn here on fs

(35:19):
are coming up top of next hour. Um, there's a
there's actually an interesting story going on in the world
of football that I know we didn't have a chance
to get to yesterday. I'm filling it for the Dan
Patrick Show, but I do think it is a very
It is an ongoing story because it could result in
the loss of a job for one prominent head coach.
So we will get to that here coming up top

(35:40):
of next hour here on fs ARE. UM. So this
is right about the time when we start to see
fights in training camp right, like like it feels like
guys are sick of a practicing against each other, LaVar,
and they're just gonna start throwing down a little bit. Okay, Okay,
that makes you feel comfortable, that's all right. This is
the time where you start fighting other players because you

(36:02):
have joint practices before preseason games, LaVar Craig. If I'm wrong,
you would have already gotten in fights with your own
teammates on your team about a week or two. Oh yeah,
plenty to um plenty of times. So the reason I
bring this out was good because I was good at it.
What was it that pushed you over the top. I
didn't have to be pushed over the top. I'm controlled. See,

(36:25):
That's what you gotta understand. Like most people may think
that you're enraged, when when when fighting me, I was
just an assassin. I literally did not. I didn't fight
because I was enraged or or out of control. I
fought because that was what needed to be done. You used,
So what situation where you would say, m I need

(36:47):
to go kick this guy's ass. Uh? Well, sometimes it's
it's sad because I had to be the huckleberry to
to somebody out there they had to be chosen as
a sacrificial lamb because we didn't come into the practice
the right way. I was one of those types of Ok. Yeah,
I was one of those type of guys or or
if if I felt like a dude in my humble estimation,

(37:12):
UM was just being over the top in terms of
how he was doing things. Like say, for instance, you're
in a period where you're just getting your timing and
your fits, but they are taking it as if it
is a full contact uh, a full contact period. Can
you give them the like, bro, like calm down, like it,

(37:35):
like get your fit. I'm stopping when you get ahold
of me? All right, don't do that extra s you
know when we when we meet up, like, I'm not
with that right and if you do it again, like
you know, sometimes dudes like they they can't get out
of their own way in terms of how they feel

(37:56):
about what their position is and what what they're the
responsibility is and how that works. And and sometimes it
takes someone like me to remind them that even though
I'm not three hundred pounds and lifting as much as
you and and as big as tall as you are,
I will whip your ass and and that would happened
quite a bit. Well, I don't think that you would

(38:19):
last long at John Gruden's training game. Yeah, probably not,
because John Gruden was not happy about having to shut
down practice after a fight in camp between the Raiders
and the Rams. Here's what the Raiders coach had to say.
They know they know better. Everybody knows better. And again,
it wasn't everybody fighting. It'll be on TV you'll see
a bunch of guys screaming and yelling, but it was

(38:40):
two guys in a special teams period, and then it
was a lot of trash talking that escalated. It's just sickening. Really,
it's just stupidity eat But I'm done with that and
it's just child's play to me. If it was only
a couple of guys, why did you stop the entire practice?
I whant to kick them out. I don't get it.
He strikes me as the type two because I do
feel like there's coaches that, oh, no, fighting out all

(39:02):
that stuff. But he wants to see it. But they
want to see it. They get behind closed doors and
they're watching the film. They're laughing about guys. Well, I
remember we had a head coach where we had a fight.
It was amongst players as before we got into it,
and he literally paused the film and at one point
made the point and he said, son, never take your

(39:23):
helmet off in a fight. He's like, because you can't
use it as a weapon, and he goes and you're
only gonna get knocked out. And so he was actually
giving pointers to if you're going to get in a fight,
this is how you go about doing. That's the true
unless there's someone like me who knows how to take
your helmet off and use it against you. That's like
the hockey move where you pull like the back. Yeah. Yeah,

(39:45):
tell me. I used to like sit at night and
wonder how it was going to get guys. Honestly, yeah, listen,
I'm with you man, looking at you right now, trying
to figure it out. Be sure to catch live editions
