Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey, It's two pros and a cup of Joan's LaVar Arrington,
Brady Quinn and Jonas Knocks. And coming up on the show,
we look back on Monday Night Football. First and foremost,
the Dallas Cowboys appeared to be the team to beat
in the NFC East. And Dak Prescott. I cannot believe
that one member of this show actually bought into some
of the concern about his shoulder before the season. They
(00:20):
will get exposed on this show. Also, Jalen Hurts, what's
the plan moving forward? Is he set up to fail?
In Philadelphia? We're gonna take a look at the game
of the century in the NFL, the Tom Brady, Bill
Belichick bull This coming Sunday, Bill Belichick placing some blame
on his former quarterback for not being a member of
(00:41):
the Patriots anymore. And the Great Petro's Papadakis stops by.
All of that is coming up next here, It's two
pros and a cup of Joe LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn,
Jonas knocks, and you right here at Fox Sports Radio.
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio. It's never too early
(01:03):
to crown a champion in the NFL. And I think
we're on the verge of doing that. We will get
into it coming up here, and just a couple of
moments from now, it is two pros and a cup
of Joe. It's LaVar Arrington, It's Brady Quinn, It's Jonas
Knox here on Fox Sports Radio. You can hang out
with us on the I Heart Radio app. You can
find us on hundreds of Fox Sports Radio affiliates, and
(01:24):
wherever you are making us a part of your Tuesday morning,
we appreciate you doing so. We're gonna take you all
the way up until nine am Eastern times, six o'clock Pacific,
right here on Fox Sports Radio. Gentlemen, you ready to
do this or what? How about the Cowboys? How about
who's ready for a hot take this early in the morning?
(01:45):
You ready for something? All right? All right? Get ready
for this. This is gonna go viral. Lead to lap
our executive producer. Get ready for this. You can go
ahead and close the coffin. The NFC East is dead
and the Dallas Cowboys killed it. It is over. Dallas
is winning the NFC East. That is a rap. That
division is done and the Dallas Cowboys are onto the playoffs.
(02:07):
And we'll host a playoff game because they are your
division champions the East. Damn right, it's over, LaVar, Why
why don't you buy? I gotta hear this. Well, here,
here's the thing. Right, that was a shellacking for certain
by all accounts when you look at the scoreboard. But
(02:29):
Philly isn't far off. Philly isn't far off. I know
that Buffalo gave the business to Washington, but Washington isn't
far off. I will say this, I thought it was
an impressive showing by Dallas and a rivalry match up.
(02:50):
I think that they showed up on prime time. I
think Dak shows shows a lot of growth. Um. This
offense is, in my opinion, it's for real. I came
away with some some real, real takeaways, um from Dallas.
But I also had some positive takeaways. I don't think
it was all bad with Philly. And if you were
really paying attention, honestly, the offensive line let Philly down
(03:14):
last night, and and it it caused It caused an issue.
It caused an issue where the defense was worn down.
But that defense, that that Philly defense was the start
of the gang. Unsung hero of the game is what
I'll say. Um, And if you paid attention to what
(03:35):
that defense a front did all night long, regardless of
what the offense did to not assist them. In this game,
you could actually, you could actually take away from this game.
Jalen Hurts did some really good things. Umm. I was
a little bit more down on him until after last night.
(03:58):
I think he did some good things. Is I think
that they found themselves in some ways, and it might
be hard. This is one of those games, Brady. You know,
you have those games every once in a while where
you say, you know what, we weren't the better team tonight.
We didn't win the game tonight, but there are so
many positives that we can take away from this and say, Okay,
you know, this is where we have to be better.
(04:18):
And I think the one place that they have to
be better is with their offensive line. But other than that,
I wouldn't be surprised if Philly finds themselves being a
little more competitive and possibly challenging for a second or
third in the NFC East. And I'm again, I'm not
(04:39):
sure what the Washington football team is yet. Their defense
has grossly underachieved thus far. I just think it's too
early to to go far and away running away with
Dallas being the team that's going to get it in
the East, it's never too early to say I'm I'm
right there with Jonas. I will go out, how about
have Cowboys? The Philly offense could only score fourteen points.
(05:05):
Don't forget that Dak Prescott fumble interception whatever in the
end zone that was created by the defense. Was the defense. Yeah,
So so I think they've got some issues. There were
early on. I think we had an idea of what
Nick Sirianni wanted to do with this offense and what
Jalen hurts. It has hit a brick wall. I mean,
you were talking about a defense in the Dallas Cowboys,
(05:29):
which granted only two games, but coming into that game
was last in the league as far as passing yards allowed. Now,
they gave up a bunch of yards last night. The
first is coming in a lot of that was a
garbage time too turnover. That's there's thirty one other teams
that are underneath that. That number one right right, But
(05:50):
it doesn't go beside the point that they've been giving
up a lot of big plays in the passing game.
Dallas as their defense, their fronts missing some pieces, and
they were still able to get pressure on Hurt, So
it kind of speaks to the offensive line issues. So
none of that makes me optimistic moving forward. Now again,
I know Phillies dealt with some injuries to up front
that played a little bit of factor. But I think
(06:13):
early on what we've seen is we've seen a couple
of games and we saw some from Jailor Hurts last year,
which granted a different system, but there's a book out
on him as a defender. You've seen enough to be
able to say, yeah, I kind of know what his
tendencies are, Like, I kind of know that if things
aren't there for that first progression, he wants to get
out of the pocket. You know, if you watch the
(06:34):
Payton and Eli broadcast, you can hear them talking about it,
kind of frustrated, like, man, you don't need to leave
a claim pocket. You know, you might have the ability
to take off and run, but that's not where your
protection is. That that's not always you know how this
place is gonna work out best. A lot of times
when you when you run one way or or the other,
you're really cutting the field in half. So you only
give your your yourself half the field to work with.
(06:55):
So I just I think there's still gonna be some
growing pains that hurts is gonna go row and his
second year kind of getting into his starting as a
starting quarterback. This system has to evolve, has to expand.
He has to grow and evolve. The outfits of line
protection wasn't great. The defense, I think we saw some
of the issues too, uh with with you know, up front,
(07:17):
they're they're good, they're fine. They're probably one of the
better front seven, I think in the NFC. But that
can only get you so far if you can't cover
any one, or you love some big plays and you know,
I I go back to even that that you know,
fumble for a touchdown. You know, if Ceedee Lamb breaks
out the balls out, it's a catch maybe first down.
We're having a different story about this too, But that
wasn't the case. I just I think you look at
(07:38):
Dallas last night. It was a great win. It was
a dominant win. It was one that puts them in
the driver's sea moving forward. And I have a hard
time with all the questions about the quarterbacks for these
other three teams and the other issues they've either got defensively,
as you touched on with Washington. I mean the Giants. Look,
even though there are a couple of plays away from
having a different record, everything's going to ok there, All right,
(08:01):
let's go. There are a couple of plays away from
having a potentially a different record, but your record is
what it is right there, So I just I look
at it. I say it's safe to say that the
Dallas Cowboys have a formula that I think will continue
to keep winning in some ways, some fashion or form.
And you're only getting one playoff team out of this division.
(08:21):
They're better. They're a better team this year. And I've
told you guys before the season even got started, they've
always had talent on on this this defensive side of
the ball, and they loaded up with more talent on
this defense side of the ball. And your m v
(08:42):
P of the off season, your m v P acquisition
was going to be dan Quinn. I made that very
clear to to get a personality or to bring a
personality in like dan Quinn, to to understand what dan
Quinn represents. When you know what you're to do, you
play faster and you play more confident. When you play
(09:05):
faster and you play more confident, then your trust level
goes up. The trust level for dan Quinn from his
personnel group UH is is very high. And they are
dealing with with injuries, They're dealing with guys being out.
Uh they could be as scary. They could have a
scary defense. With dan Quinn's brain and that personnel, they
(09:28):
could be a scary group when they're all together. And
and so I knew that coming in that their understanding
of what dan Quinn wants. Who simplifies things in a
way where you can play fast, you can play hard,
you can play aggressive, and you don't have to overthink things.
I hate it when when coaches make it about overthinking.
(09:51):
I want to study a film. I want to know
what the tendencies are as you mentioned earlier, make book
on what what my opponent is gonna do. I I
want to have the confidence that the players that we're
running are are plays, that we're all on the same page.
If we have a check, if we have a combo coverage,
if we're bracketing, if we're adding you know, due to
(10:15):
you know, the back comes to my side, you take them,
you add blitz to it. If he goes the other way,
you play it's just play it slow. As a CBR player, cutback,
boot reverse guy. I like it when I understand, and
it's funny because you can like that. I like when you.
I like when you're coming with you the abbreviation that
(10:36):
like normally that to me, it has those But I
you know, I'm problem that coaches and players run into
so many times is that players become scapegoats to the
inability to communicate and create clarity for their players. And
and so for me, I knew that was going to
be a prime, a prime addition to this team. So
(10:59):
I agree. I'm not I'm not saying I disagree with
Dallas being the front runner and probably for for for
what it's worth right now, far and away the front
runner in the East. I'm just not I'm not dead.
I'm not putting them in the ground, not putting Washington
in the ground yet. Uh peak two earlier is what
you're saying. I just I think that there is potential
(11:22):
there and and I saw in a losing effort and
in a dominant fashion from Dallas. But I saw in
a losing effort, I actually saw potential. They can build
on what they have on defense in Philly, and they
got to figure out how to run the ball. Uh,
they have to develop Jalen Hurts more. I'm not an apologist.
You know, they were apologizing for him only he's a rookie.
(11:43):
He's a rookie. Tell that to Brady Quinn in his
second year. You know, I don't go for I don't
go for the the apologists approaches. You're a starter in
the National Football League. You're expected to produce. It's a
it's a game of discrimination and production and it's a
loud so for me, Jalen Hurts has got to get better.
(12:04):
He's got to take and understand his role in terms
of protecting the ball because I think he was very
careless at times and he can't depend on his legs
as much as he's trying to depend on his legs
um during the course of the game. And I think
if they could kind of show up that offensive line
and and dig deep into mouth Sanders a little bit
more in the running game, they could they could turn
(12:25):
this season into something much more different than what I
originally anticipated them as a team. The one pick six
wasn't his fault though he failed down. Yeah, he fell down.
I just think that he's look playing quarterback is as
much of a developmental sport meeting. You need experience as
it gets And that's the hard part is he's got
two offenses now in two years because trust me, you know,
(12:48):
Doug Peterson to Nick Sirianni, it looks drastically different. The verbiage, Uh,
just because I've been with Nick is going to be different.
So all those things I think are an adjustment for him.
And I think the hard thing is is now, you know,
you can only do so much in season to be
able to make some of that growth and some of
the stuff that you're talking about. You know, you really
(13:10):
have to train in the off season to get certain
habits out of your game. And I just it's gonna
be hard to do that. But but look, Jonas knows
that because because Jonas Jonas can train in season, He's
done it before. You know, he's a he's a point.
And I think the big difference, you know, to the
LaVar's point on on the defense for Dallas, and the
(13:31):
big difference is that zone dog zero cobra scheme that
they were running the four four three trips um thing
of a jigger. Uh watta la la, Yeah, I was right,
I really really, you know, I think that was that's
when you bring that a heavyweight from the inside and
he loops around and into that. Today they call that
(13:53):
stunts you when you stunt like sticks calls that stuff.
By the way, you gotta see how good LaVar looks today.
My god, you are you look fantastic? You got a
vest going on, you got you shaved. I mean it's
almost like you're doing TV an hour three or something
like that. Your question, Oh god, no, no no, no, I'm
(14:16):
being honest. Guys. Are you guys good? There? You guys good?
Everything is safe? Everything sound yeah. I don't know if
they replaced that window over there, but seemingly everything seems
to be fine. That takes a roaches and the babies
are They're sleeping tucked in for another couple of hours,
and I think, like everything is all right for now.
(14:36):
Who know that? Who knew that roach had a off
somebody when somebody was coming for him. Things you discovered

the conversation moving forward the biggest game in recent NFL history.

Coming up later on this hour a little over ten
(15:40):
minutes from now, we're going to discuss something that somebody
on this show got very wrong. Actually two things, two
things somebody on this show was dead wrong about. Well listen,
I mean, somebody's gotta be called out for this. They've
gotta be exposed. Prop bets. Terrible night, Oh my gosh,
I didn't know that you. I mean, I look, I'm
(16:02):
still taleing up. You know what happened on the propet
monster last night. You know, I don't want to you
know that that's neither here nor there. Um, I don't
even try to win your prop bet monsters. I mean
about I'm calling you out before the a lot of second.
You don't know who I'm calling out here? I don't
what's that supposed to be? Still going to look out
for both of us? I put I put a lot
(16:23):
of effort into the profet you do, but you put
a lot of effort into being like a sarcastic a
bung Holio reference. By the way, Bevis and butthead is
basically what the manning cast is right where they're just
(16:44):
sitting there watching that is a great freaking pool. Hey
how about that? That's what I'm talking about. Who's Bevis?
Who's butt head? Beavis is the blonde? Right, Yeah, that's Peyton, Yeah,
but is you know, but heads got the bigger forehead.
So they both got really big heads though, and they're long.
(17:07):
You got ten heads. I'm not going to I'm not
going to clown my former teammate and and I'm not
going to clown uh Peyton Manning because I respect their
big heads too much. I mean, I respect them too
big time uh to to to mess with them. I'm
sure they would joke about the shapes of their heads
(17:28):
too though, to be honest, Yeah, yeah, they joke about
like when he put that that Raven's helmet on and
it only covered his forehead, I don't know if it
covered that. Um, I have a big head too, So
I mean, I feel like I can talk about big
heads because well, I'm a big hitted man. Interesting driven
(17:50):
cut off for a big head, Like what a hat
size do you have to wear to have a big head?
I have to get the largest size. It's like an eight,
if that's it, I think. I think. I just go
into the store and I grabbed the larger, like we're
your largest sizes, and they give them to me and
I try them on, and I go with what I
go with. If your hat size is seven and a
half or larger, that's considered a big head. Correct. I
(18:11):
think that's considered a big gas. So I always felt
like I had a big head, but mine I don't
have a seven and a half hat size, so I
guess I'm not. It could be big and scale though,
you know what I mean my body, Yes, I get that.
But but but when you have a water head, like
a like a gallon jug head, that's just different. It's
(18:33):
big no matter how big you are. It's just as
trying to steer this into the bedroom. I wanted to know. No, look,
I'm simply trying to have a conversation here about hat sizes.
I think this is a very fair. I've actually had
this discussion. One of the biggest mistakes people make is
when they order a fitted hat online. Eddie Garcia and
I have talked about this. Before you're rolling the dice.
(18:55):
I mean, it's basically Russian roulette because you don't know
whether or not it's gonna fit. You know, if the
crown of the hat is good enough. Months later you like,
what the hell happened? Yeah, he's a class act for
TV star. What's with the blue animals? I don't know.
(19:20):
My hat was too small for my head. All right,
so let's get into uh this discussion here about that
really made me laugh on the inside, much harder than
what I'm doing on ouside. Oh man, especially we were
talking about during the break alright, so we've got ourselves
maybe the biggest game of an in NFL history. I'm
(19:43):
gonna say it right now, biggest game in NFL history.
When you consider returns, um, you know, reunions, Tom Brady
back to Foxborough, tom Brady back to New England to
take on the Patriots. The only one I can think
that's comparable is the Bret Farve, uh, you know, returning
to play the Green Bay Pack. So we're going to
get into that. Yeah, and and Belichick had some interesting
(20:04):
comments about the situation with Tom Brady. We're gonna have
that for You're gonna hear from Coach Belichick next here
on fs ARE let's check him up. Garcia, Mr a
fitted hat expert himself where he's a big hat. No,
it's true. I I have a pretty pretty large dome.
Yeah get them. I get my hats like a little
(20:25):
bit bigger than they really need to be, because you know,
if it's it's a little smaller than you're comfortable. Yeah,
but if you order it online, you're just you're screwed.
Sometimes it's true. But like I said, I'll go like
a seven and a half just in case. Isn't that
the case with anything you order online, like you're making
specific to hats. Yeah, I feel like it's more so
with hats, like those hats man, they'll give you migrains man,
(20:47):
you know. But here's the thing. But but but if
you if you actually, if you go in to buy
a hat at a sporting goods store and you pull
it off the rack, it could be the same brand,
the same style, everything, and it doesn't fit the same
It's the same with boots. You gotta break them in. Okay. Yeah, see,
I'm just saying, if you order a pair of pants
(21:08):
or shoes online and they don't fit, you're also screwed.
That's correct. But I feel like, do not let Jonas
do that. Jonas Jonas is making it singular to hat.
It's anything you order online. How about you order a
couch it doesn't fit your living room. That happened to
me and I paid five gs for that couch and
it was like it's like now like a prop in
(21:31):
in other spots of the house, Like the biggest part
of it is in the garage, by the way. Yeah. Literally,
like a Brady just out of himself that he's so
secure financially that he compares couches to the cost of hats.
Like listen to that, like that that is that is
first off, I did say to which which I was shocked.
I went into a shoe store while I was in Chicago.
(21:53):
I can't get over how expensive shoes are. Unbelievable. Oh
it's by the way they've got them wrapped. They're like
vacuum sealed, wrapped in plastic. And I'm thinking, even if
someone was gonna steal this particular shoe, it's only one shoe.
What are you gonna do? Well, that's a valuable one shoe,
(22:16):
though you valuable. Eddie Garcia gonna say yeah, Brady Steers
in the ditch, breaking news. It is two pros and
a cup of joe here on Fox Sports Radio coming
up fifteen minutes from now here on FS are somebody's
(22:37):
going to get called out for their actions and their
comments and hot takes on this show. That will happen
fifteen minutes from now. Speaking of of hot takes, there's
gonna be a lot of them that are flying this week.
It is the biggest game in NFL history. Uh. The
only thing comparable, I would say is probably the Brett
Farv you know, Vikings playing the Packers back in the
regular sea, yes, regular season. Biggest regular season game in
(23:02):
NFL history is the Tom Brady returned to Foxboro to
take on the Patriots at Sunday night. Football for everybody
to watch is going to do a massive number. And
so the conversation has already started a bit early in
the week, even just one day after the Patriots lose
to the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, Belichick, Patriots head
coach Bill Belichick, was on the Greg Hill Show courtesy
(23:25):
of w e e I, and he was asked about
his relationship with Tom and also why Tom Brady is
no longer with the team. Tom and I, uh, you know,
I feel like a good relationship and a lot of production. Obviously,
you know while we were together, and um, I enjoyed
coaching Tom, and you know he was a great player
for us. You know, Sunday night we line up across
(23:46):
some Tampa and not just him, but you know, the
entire team. They're obviously a very good team. So that's
all about our team competing against Tampa's team. Bill, over
the course of you and Tom's time together, you said
dozens of times that there was no quarterback you would
rather have When did that change never changed. So you
wanted Tom to resign here after the twenty nineteen season. Well,
(24:08):
I think we've men through all the nine. You know,
he looked at his options and made his decision. We
weren't as good options on Tampa. Wasn't a question or
not one for sure. Interesting. That's that ordering offline and
it not fitting when you get it to that. I mean, listen,
(24:33):
I'm a Belichick here. They wanted him. Tom Brady screwed
over the Patriots. That's where I'm gonna go with this.
That's what he did. Okay, that's but that's really what
Bill Belichick just did. Yeah, I mean, on, hold on,
hold on, hold on. Can I provide provide what I
think actually happened? No, no, no, is thisn't a conspiracy.
(24:55):
I do think the Patriots made an offer. But we
all know how this goes. Like take, for example, LaVar,
you're selling your house and you've got it listed and
I'm talking to you. I come walk through the house
and you're like, man, you know babe, they seem like
really interested buyer. And then I come to you with
a low ball offer. You're gonna look at me and
(25:16):
be like, yeah, you're not that serious about buying this house, right.
I wonder if the Patriots gave Tom an offer and
they were looking at him like, Hey, he's this older
quarterback who's on the decline, and this is what we're
gonna make an offer to bring him back if he
really wants to come back, right, Almost like Ben Roethlisberger
(25:38):
take a five million dollar pay cut, right, but like
one of those sorts of deals were like, look, we
want to have you, we want you to be here,
but we need all this money to pay for all
these other players we're gonna bring in because we don't
feel like we've got a great roster right now. And
granted that roster, by the way, a couple of years ago, Um,
it was awful and they didn't have cap space, so
(25:59):
they not only did they not have a ton of
money to offer him, but I don't think it was
in his best interest to sign back there as far
as what it looked like. But I do think that
they probably made some sort of offer. I just think
it was a low ball offer in comparison to what
the Bucks were willing to offer. And also on top
of like, hey, I want Gronkowski back, I want Antonio
(26:21):
Brown and they're like, yeah, no, that door is shut.
We're not letting that happen. And Bruce Arian calls him
up and says, hey, come down, let's drink a few beers.
Let's go call Rob Gronkowski, Let's go talk to Antonio Brown.
Let's let's get all these guys with you here in Tampa.
I think Tampa offered him everything and anything that he
wanted to do, and I think Bill Belichick was still like, no, no, no,
(26:44):
here's your offer. We still want you, but it has
to be under my rules, my guys, And that was it.
And so I think both things could be true. It's
just not what Tom Brady wanted. Well, let's go back
to let's go back to the comments from Ali Guerrero
that came out of tom Brady's camp about treating him
like a child even though he had grown up like
(27:07):
the twenty year old Tom Brady versus the thirty forty
year old Tom Brady. That that, to me, now sets
it into the proper, the proper idea of how to
approach what Bill Belichick did when he said what he said,
don't think for two seconds, you don't become as good
a coach by not by not paying attention to everything
(27:31):
that is out there, especially as it applies to you.
He heard the or he read those comments, He's aware
of those comments when he made the comments that he made.
I think it was a very very slick set up
on Bill Belichick's part. And here's the reason why you
can never undo what Bill Belichick and Tom Brady did together,
(27:54):
no matter where the relationship stands, no matter what happens
from here on out, who goes where, what happens, what
it's solidified in stone the greatest coaching player duo arguably
in the history of sports. Uh maybe Michael Jordan's and
Phil Jackson is number one. Who knows, somebody may use
(28:18):
the Celtics and Bill Russell with what is it red
r back or whatever. Here's the thing, right, Bill Belichick
basically detonated a a a shade bomb, and and that
shade bomb was purely, purely a sophisticated approach, but yet
(28:40):
simple and nature for his fan base to consume in
the media to consume going into this game. Basically, he
said that Tom Brady beat Cheeks up out of here
and did not want to continue to be a New
England Patriot. I'm sorry we beat cheeks. Yeah, you find
(29:03):
that for us that beat cheeks up out of there
is is basically getting up out of there very quickly,
beat beat cheeks getting I gotta admit that's a term
that I got from my guy one Chat Dukes that
I did used to do radio with. When you're in
the business for so long, I love chat, you start
to pick up on like funny sayings and and certain things,
(29:24):
but then you can use them really as a funny
saying that no one picks up on, and it's just
a part of the conversation. Beat cheeks, beat cheeks up
out of there, you know what I mean. But and
that's what tom Brady did. He got up out of there.
But I do believe that the vast majority of onlookers
that actually concerned themselves with it or cared about it,
felt as though tom Brady had no choice. This was
(29:47):
his only recourse was to leave. Now you get this
from from Bill Belichick. I would I would always want
Tom Brady. I would certainly love to have Tom Brady.
And that's in the midst of Mac Jones having a
interesting game, an interesting game, so his phillips didn't even
(30:11):
matter in that moment. Right, like, yeah, but if you're
Mac Jones, you're probably realistic. I mean, he plays the
greatest resume, the greatest QB we we've seen in the
NF there, Like, I think you can be like, yeah,
I get it, I'm a rookie. I get it. Yeah,
but but also this, uh Tom Brady, Yeah, yeah, Well
(30:33):
I get when the Lamar Jackson discussions take place, I
get called Lamar a hundred times in the car. I'm
not as important anymore. So when Lamar Jackson topics come up,
people say Lamar instead of LaVar. It's fine anyways, I
was gonna say Tom Brady Brady, Tom all right anyway.
Um the point that I'm making a cannis sometimes I
(30:53):
don't worry that right, because you are. There's a I
feel like about I don't want There's Tony romana though.
Um So, the idea of it is is that Mac
(31:15):
Jones is not a sloppy second. He's not He's not
a we didn't want you type of deal. And I
think that him putting it out there the way that
he did, like, well, how do you comprehend it that way? Well,
the way you comprehend it is is that we offered
you what we offered you, you didn't take it. You
decided that there were better options elsewhere, and so we
(31:37):
had to move on. We had to move on. It
isn't as though we took mac Jones with the idea. Now,
if this was if this was Garoppolo, this is a
different conversation. But mac Jones is not in the crosshairs
of of the whatever the breakup of Bill Belichick and
(31:58):
Tom Brady. But I find it very interesting, very methodical.
There's no way he can there's no way he can
turn people against him in in any manner, I would assume.
But if you wanted to throw a curve ball, that
just made you say, huh. I never thought that there
(32:19):
was an option in New England, did you, Guys? Well,
I had heard they made him an offer, but it
was like a one year I kind of forget, I
forget that the actual number that was attached to him
something like because and I think also Brady made it
to where when they restructured his deal going into the
(32:39):
final year, that they couldn't franchise him like that was
one of the agreements that they couldn't franchise him. So
you could probably look at that and say, well, clearly
Brady had his eye on, you know, on on you
know something after the season, the fact that he wanted
to make sure that they couldn't hold on to him
or didn't have control of him afterwards. I do think
it's it's it's Belichick, you know, maybe getting ahead of
(33:00):
the story a little bit and just saying, hey, man,
like we made the offer. I mean to Brady's point.
And in house hunting, if you're a house hunter and
you you purchase homes, you'll you'll understand this. The only
reason why you low ball offers is because you're taking
You're taking the chance of saying you don't have any
(33:20):
other ones. I'm gonna I like your home. This is
a beautiful home, but I'm going to offer you this.
And it's like, well, that's that's three off, that's that's
four hundred thousand off from what it is that we're offering.
You can look at the comps and see that this
house is worth that, look at the tax value, the
evaluation of it. You can tell that doesn't matter. I'm
(33:44):
offering you this. Do you want to take it? You know?
And that's basically a buyer saying, listen, I gave you
an offer. If you feel you have a better offer,
then you take that better offer. But if you want
to sell your home at a loss to you, I
don't know what you. Oh, I don't know what this
house means to you. Data da this time. I want
to purchase your house, but I'm only going to purchase
(34:06):
it at this at this price. Yeah, so to me,
they set a market He basically said, this, this whole
thing is a set market value. This is what we
value you at, and somebody else valued you differently. That
was a better option. I mean it's kind of the point. Yeah,
it's Two Pros and a Cup of Joe Here, LaVar Arrington,
Brady Quinn, Jonas Knocks of the Here on Fox Sports Radio.

LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knoxy here on fs are
uh coming up top of next hour. A little over
ten minutes from now, we may have identified one of
the worst quarterback situations in the history of the NFL.
(35:35):
I mean it might. It might really be that. So
we will get into all of it coming up here.
It continues to get more puzzling and bizarre that a
little over ten minutes from now, UM, I would like
to expose Um. That sounded weird. I was about to
say I would like to expose myself, and I realized
that's not what I wanted to I would like to
call myself out. But I don't know he does this.
(35:57):
He does this folks from Thomas sausen. He he actually
absolutely takes the wood shed out on himself. Yeah, it's
a weird. That's kind of like what Bill did in
his quote. Like, you know, it's a great word out there.
It's called sub diffuge, subdifuge. That is like that, that's
a TV word. It's a very nice word. It's a
TV it's a TV wor him breaking your balls TV figure.
(36:21):
I get, I get one segment. I'm not a host
or anything, you know what I mean. I'm not on
the desk for an entire show, like like we'll bring
you in on this segment for a couple of moments.
I don't do the whole show. Yeah, it's it's unbelievable.
I was sitting at home on my my couch. Um
that was much bigger than the one that I ordered online,
(36:45):
and I was Jonas Jonas does TV, sits on his
pelts on without the seat, broadcast professional, classy guy there
that Brady point. Well Jonahs didn't deny it, but anyway, anyway,
we hate to get comfortable. We saw the show, but
(37:08):
then it was like we saw like a commercial or
something like that. No, it wasn't a commercial. It was
something because notre Dame. I just won, and people were
getting all steamed up and pumped up. And then they
went to Brady and they showed Brady and everybody was
talking about it, and I was like, yeah, you know
I do. I do the radio. Everybody I was looking.
They were like, we know LaVar, we know you do
(37:28):
the show with Brady. And I'm like, okay, well do
you ever tell people you do the show with me?
You know I haven't done that. Everybody's got goals. That's
my goal day for you to say, oh, and I
also worked with him. I wouldn't mind that. You know,
just from time to time, I stick up for you
and they're like, you do the show with Brady Quinnin
I st you don't care. It's funny. I stick up
(37:50):
for you. I'll just tell you, like, who's that other guy? Yeah,
he's a couple of I usually show a picture of
Jonas and people go, oh, that's creepy. You know, you know,
I gotta I got a face for radio. True, it's
just the facial expression you make is an awkward one.
(38:11):
I don't know what it is. When you take photos.
You know, I'm trying to I'm trying to get flash
lazy eyes, so he has to hold his eyes. It
looks like he's surprised because I wanted to feel real
at the moment, trying to but it it almost looks like
you're doing something wrong and they catch you in the act.
(38:32):
Well that's because their head shots. What do you think,
I don't know what your hands. Yeah, you can from
the from the neck up, we know what's going on
from the shoulders down. You know. I'm playing cards. They
just have to be a full deck in my pocket,
so I need to But I do want to call
myself out on something because I was one of the
(38:54):
people who was perpetuating the man. Dak Prescott's not going
to be a percent for the Sea in This shoulder
issue is really going to be a problem. He looks fantastic. Man,
it does look really good. Looks what that? Why did
I buy into that? Like Dallas was telling us he
was gonna be ready for the season, don't worry about it.
He was gonna and I wanted to pretend like I
knew more than Mike McCarthy and the Dallas training staff.
(39:16):
And Dak looks fantastic. He looks awesome. He looks I mean,
Jerry tried telling you Jerry's like the most honest guy
when it comes to the media. Went on the official
Twitter account. Y'all, calm down, everything is fine. You remember
too when he was like, yeah, Dak gott us man,
he got us good. He won out that. He'll literally
(39:37):
tell you every time you know, he'll say what he's thinking.
He's not liant. And by the way, you mentioned Jerry Jones.
They asked Jerry Jones his thoughts on Dak Prescott so
far through the season. I won't make some glory. I
don't know why we've got to play grabs? Can we can?
We just can we do a professional show for once?
(39:57):
I never forget that. With salt, he put a half
a half a deal of salt on on a dry sandwich.
It was already dry. By the way, did anybody put
salt on an like when you go somewhere, do you
put salt on your food? I don't think I ever
do anymore. Just a little bit on my friend, listen,
he put a whole thing. Yeah, that was disgusting. Come on,
