So we got some bad news, but a little bit

(00:41):
of good news for one team in the NFL looking
to make a playoff push. We will get into all
of that here coming up just a couple of moments
from now. It is Two Pros and a Cup of
Joe Here, Fox Sports Radio, LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox,

(01:01):
are making us a part of your Tuesday morning. We
appreciate you doing so. We'll take you all the way
up until nine am Eastern time, six o'clock Pacific right
here on Fox Sports Radio. And we do so with
a little bit of bad news. Uh. The Tennessee Titans
and a player that a lot of people were talking about,
legitimate m VP candidate, they get some bad news. It's

(01:23):
Derrick Henry who goes down with an injury. Uh, he
is set to have surgery. I can't get a clear
cut answer, though, Brady, whether or not this is season
ending or he's going on I R with the plan
to return next year or later on this year. I
can't get cut answer, Jones, fracture. You're out for the
rest of the season, So no chance. I don't think

(01:44):
there's any chance now, you know, if you're talking about
them extending the season into the playoffs and a super Bowl,
maybe a shot of it. Right, it's November. Now, you
try to take a few months off. Hopefully you can
come back in February for that particular game. I would
think it's it's really unlikely, uh that he would be
able to come back, and at least people to come
back and be the same player that we saw feeling comfortable.

(02:07):
I mean, that's a big man putting a lot of
pressure on that fifth medaturisal Um, which is I believe
it's the it's the medataur sol or the bone on
the outside of your foot um. And so that's something
that it's problematic. Wide receivers deal with it a lot.
You get some dbs that deal with it. But look
a lot of times there's there's two injuries that happened

(02:27):
to defeats. It's the Liz Frank, It's the Jones fracturer,
and uh, look it's unfortunately he's carried this team, he's
been a legitimate m VP candidate, and now they're turning
the reins over to a future Hall of Famer, which
kind of begs the question, like how interesting is this
gonna be moving forward, Because I mean, it's just it's
gonna be hard to fill the big shoes left behind

(02:47):
by Derrick Henry. It certainly is not feasible to think
that he will return from this this injury. And and
I was asked the question, do you believe this injury
took place because of his workload during the course of
of the seasons. You know, you could easily state that

(03:08):
there could be a correlation in his workload, how often
he runs the ball, how many times he's making contact.
But these type of injuries you gotta always take into consideration.
I gave the example for me. It was my cartilage.
It wasn't my feet, it was my cartilage. You know.
Derrick Henry is what six three and what thirty? All right?

(03:32):
So and he runs like what a four deer? Alright?
So think about this. I was six three two fifty
five running a four four forty and and could change
like my My whole thing was my explosive movement, my
my my ability to change directions at the size that

(03:53):
I was at was what what set me apart. I
was always splitting my cartilage so and people didn't know it,
you know, for like for years, I would have to
go and get my knee cleaned up because I would
be splitting cartilage because I was so explosive and how
I was moving. So I don't think that so much.

(04:16):
It's about the workload as it is about just how
big you are and what your body is really able
to withstand. When you're able to move the way that
Derek Henry is able to move, that it's just not
it's it's kind of hard to comprehend someone so big,

(04:38):
so massive, being able to move like somebody who's very
light so now the question becomes because I had to
ask myself the same question, Can I sad, you know,
ten fift twenty pounds and still be the type of
player that I needed to be in order to to
lighten up the load on on my weight bearing body parts.

(05:02):
And and now now I think that the question may
become that for Derrick Henry moving forward, can he be
effective at a light or weight and can he takes
some of that weight off of his joints knowing that
as big and as massive as he is, which I
still may not make a difference, but it's possible being
a little bit lighter he takes some of that load

(05:23):
and some of that pressure off of those joints. Well,
it's I mean, he's not Eddie Lacy, so thank God
for that. You know. It's like one of these things
to where he's eating himself out of the position. I
just think, well, like, what are their options. They've already
paid him, so of course they're gonna use him, and
they're gonna use them as much as they possibly can
because nobody can stop him. Like he's he's the one
running back. When you look at running backs that were

(05:45):
getting paid over the past couple of years and od
do we want to pay these guys? Zeke Levian Bell,
Derrick Henry is the one you point to and go,
well that worked. I mean like he's gotten better since
he got paid. I don't know if this is a
workload thing as much as it is. Look, they've got him,
they needed to use him. He came back into the
game if I'm not mistaken after he initially felt the
pain and they were looking at him on the sidelines,

(06:07):
and so now they just have to make the move
and they bring in Adrian Peterson. I'm more like, was
there nobody else available that Adrian Peterson is still the guys?
There's a lot of you know, veteran news. Yeah, I
just so, so why why do you think Adrian Peterson?

(06:31):
Why is he the guy they chose to go with
as opposed to some of one of these other backs
that could be had via a late round draft pick
trade or be a no name player, right, like you
can you know how many running backs there are on
the market that would love to have the opportunity to play.
But you know, can I just say this really quickly?

(06:52):
It's kind of interesting because again, once once again you
have a culture in a society that is just very choosy.
This is like, as a matter of fact, like Adrian
Peterson is signed, he's a future Hall of Famer, He's
going to get an opportunity. We we lose our minds
when when you see an opportunity for Tim Tebow. Now,

(07:15):
granted Tim Tebow got brought in to be a tight
end and not a quarterback, a different position, but nonetheless
he's a football player. They brought him in to play
a different position. Okay, everybody loses their mind. It's it's favoritism.
There's there's racism, there's this, that, there and the other.
Why is there no outraging Why why are we not

(07:36):
outraged that that Adrian Peterson has been given an opportunity
to come back into the National Football League and play football,
Like that's strange to me, Like we're so choosy on things,
and and listen, God bless good luck to to Adrian Peterson.
But I just think I find it interesting that a
guy at his age gets an opportunity. There are guys

(07:58):
out there that could certainly bring more to the table
at the point in the time they are in their
career than what Adrian Peterson would be able to bring
to the team. And that's the point I'm making, Man.
I think I'm with you on that. I mean, there
could be I think there's a thought that you know
you're gonna get with a p right like you know
you know where you're gonna get. He he comes in there,

(08:19):
he's gonna work. He knows what his assignments are already
supposed to do. He's he's got that veteran presence about him.
My concern is really more for Ryan Tannehill in this offense,
because they can't hand off to him like they were
with Derrick Henry. We know that he's not gonna have
the same explosiveness, at least not consistently like Derrick Henry
had given his age. And so when Derrick Henry wrn

(08:43):
down my my my initial thought was they're either gonna
have to go running back by committee or this just
puts that much more pressure on Ryan Tannehill because you
could say, well, they they're not gonna get away from
their identity. They're gonna run the football no matter who's
back there, whether it's Adrian Peterson or any other running back,
you know, by committee, they're still gonna run the football
a lot Okay, here's the difference. You're not gonna get

(09:06):
those big runs, those as many first down you know
gains that you got from Derrick Henry or those eight
yard runs to put you in second and two, so
you're ahead of the sticks. You're not gonna get that.
And so that's the problem for this team now moving
forward is they could try to act like their you know,
offensive identity is gonna stay the same, They're gonna run
the football and blah blah blah. That's only gonna put

(09:27):
more pressure on Ryan Tannehill on third downs in particular,
and it's gonna put more pressure on this passing game
to be the explosive portion of it. But that's why
they brought in Julio Jones, you know. So when he's
back in there, pcent healthy, we'll see with him in
a j Brown what that can look like together, probably
on a more consistent basis, because now they need it
more than ever. Possibly Julio Jones might not be able

(09:51):
to stay healthy on a consistent basis, and that and
you're loading up your roster with older players like that,
right do we know that Adrian Peterson can I mean
you I know you're saying you know what we get
with Adrian Peterson. But I don't know what we get
with Adrian Peterson. I don't know what he's going to
look like at this moment, Like where where where has
he been? What has he been doing? What does he

(10:11):
bring to the table. We know what he historically brings
to the table. But again, he's he's always in good shape.
I mean, he did play sixteen games last year. You
know his his yards per tempoor and great, it was
like three point nine. But there there's there's a certain
like I'm saying, as far as his work ethic and
all that you bring young you bring it a young
player that hasn't been around the league before, you might say, yeah,

(10:32):
guy's got a little bit of upside, but he's got
bad practice habits, he doesn't know the offense. Yeah, there's
all those things that I think you you kind of
take for granted. I don't think you're worried about that
with Adrian Peterson. I mean you're certainly not. I mean
he's too tired to do anything else that you know.
For me, this definitely puts a ton of pressure on
on this coaching staff, and it puts a ton of

(10:54):
pressure onto him Babel doesn't want to deal with having
to to get a young guy in, and he looks
at and says, look, I just I want somebody I
can rely on and depend on and and and to
Brady's point, maybe I can just bring in Adrian Peterson,
put him back there and and get as much as
we can out of the position. I don't think it matters, though,
because I think this division is over. I think Tennessee
is gonna win the division regardless of what is going on,

(11:17):
especially when you got good, when you got cars pick
six who's making it up? I ever seen? Ever? It's
actually I think it's pretty high up there. That was
one of the I mean, like, I get it. You're
in your own end zone, and you you feel the pressure.
You're like, I'm gonna take a safety right now. But

(11:40):
a left handed pushed past whatever the hell that was.
I mean, he's it's got. It's at least the worst
playoffs seen all year. Look, you know, not a lot
of quarterbacks, not a lot of quarterbacks can say that
they've thrown pick sixes with both hands. So there is
there's something to it. So that is rarefied air for

(12:00):
Carson Wentz, you know, and and it could be and
again I don't want to bring this up, but it
could be what's going on with the back of his
neck that could also go back. Let me go back
to Tennessee for a moment. I do not think that
it is a foregone conclusion that if you do not
have Derrick Henry, that this Tennessee Titans team is just

(12:20):
going to run away with the division. They could there
could be an epic collapse that takes place. And the
simple fact of what you just raised, the points you
raise are super valid is if it's put on Tannehill's
arm to win games, now, it's gonna put that much
more pressure on your defense to have to to to
whold offenses uh to a certain point production because I

(12:43):
think they're only going to produce so much in the air.
And that's that's already proven. You look at what Cleveland
is doing, and and these are two very similarly constructed teams,
and they rely on very similar things. And number one,
in their running attack. If you cannot run the ball
in Cleveland, you're putting too much pressure on Baker to

(13:07):
have to be something that that he's not, which is
I hate to say it, a franchise quarterback. A franchise
quarterback can win games a franchise or a really good quarterback,
a a game managing quarterback, whatever you wanted to label them.
The ones that need their assistance is usually an offensive
line or as you're running attack, or it's either both

(13:29):
and and for Tennessee, they have built their offense around
being able to run the ball. You see Derrick Henry
goes over a hundred yards. I don't have the stats
in front of me, but I've done it in shows past.
They're winning average is super high. When he rushes for
less than a hundred yards, they lose. Their losing average
is is very it's very pronounced. This is a fail

(13:54):
for the Tennessee Tits is a potential fail for the
Tennessee Titans. There's zero chance the Tennessee type don't win
this division, Absolutely zero chance. They're all they're a three
and a half game and here here's they've got. They've
got two games against Houston, a game against Jacksonville, and
a game against Crumby Miami. So they're gonna be a
ten wins regardless of what happens here without Derrick Henry

(14:17):
or not. At ten and seven, you're winning the a
f C South Brady, I'm sorry, you're winning the division
at ten wins? Can you can you call them right now? Yes,
the most fraudulent team that's gonna be a playoff. We
did that. But look we did that with with Pittsburgh
last year. Now now you're in the same situation. This

(14:37):
is the same exactly because you will have no running
playoff game. But you know you will have no running
game moving forward. Hey, what about bringing Frank Gore. Let's
get a Frank Gore Adrian Peterson two headed monster in
the backfield? What do you say? I mean, come on,
we're if we're doing this, can we just do it
all the way? Why half assist thing Tennessee, let's go

(14:59):
on Frank as a timeless wonder. I just don't I
just don't get people people thought last night Frank Core
was playing in the game. There are people on on
the Manning cast that I thought that. I think it
was Michael Straham. He saw a quarterback against Is that
freak corp? Is that freak out there running football? They

(15:19):
had no idea. I just, uh, I don't know. I
just think that it's interesting. We're so choosy because let
me tell you something had the circumstances be been different,
manipulate this this uh characteristic hare, manipulate this this um feature,
you know, physical feature there. Then it's like, oh what,

(15:40):
there's so many people that this person is taking a
job away from, Like there are people out there that
could probably tote that pill, that are like two pick
a number, that could probably do a way better job.
That that isn't going to be a problem in the

(16:02):
locker room, that that job is not available to them
because of an old ass man that can't let it go.
I mean, let me tell you something. I'm gonna be
the one to call LaVar cap man. And he was
pounding the table saying why can't Toby Gerhard get a shot?
And I said, I mean it's Toby Gerhard younger than
Adrian said, okay, there you go. Now you why are

(16:24):
you hating on if you want to keep playing, I'm
not hating. I'm just saying we're choosing. I have no
problem with with Adrian Peterson and in his career and
he's a future Hall of Famer, Like, you know, let's
go get Marshall fault. Like, let's say it Marshall fault,
you know, because he can't catch the ball out of
the backfield as well. You know, and I don't get

(16:46):
what you're hating. I'm not. I'm not hating because you're
not hating. What do you call hypocrisy? Well, yes, that's
what I call it. It It is hip. Look at that
is like for example, you know where you would get
roasted right now, is if you said one negative thing
about the Man in Cast, anyone who's on social It's
just it's gold, It's the best ever. It's this. It's like,

(17:07):
is it the best ever? Though? Is it the best ever?
If I told you what it was, I'll tell you
off air what it is because I can't say it
on air because I might get canceled. But the opposite
that the culture not getting canceled. Yeah, but it would
be reverse, It would be in reverse. If I told
you what it is why people are so high on

(17:29):
the man and Cast, it would be racist in reverse.
Right to me? To me, what it is is everyone's
so scared of upsetting someone to see in a powerful position. Yes,
and they're so scared to actually be critical or be
honest that they just throw bouquets at everything. And look,
there are some really funny moments there are there's some

(17:50):
really great analysis. That same analysis is being done everywhere.
But whether it's a media critic who's throwing bouquets or
people who just want to sign on, it's That's to
your point though about this is that's the problem with
everything right now, all one way or there's never anything
in the middle, because if it was something different that that,

(18:12):
people will be going nuts right now, like, are you
kidding me? They brought who back? Yeah, there you go. Stinks.
I'll just say right now. Nobody else will say it.
I'll say it. It's stinks. By the way, what doesn't

two thousand, twenty one Nielson Report limitations apply alright. Coming
up next, NFL trade deadline is fast approaching. Who do
we want to see get traded? Who do we want
to see get dealt before the deadline? We'll get into
all that next for you. Right here on fs are
be sure to catch live editions of two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LaVar Errington and

(18:54):
Jonas Knocks week days at six am Eastern, three am
Pacific on Funk Sports Radio and the I Heart Radio.
It is too Pros and a Cup of Joe here
on Fox Sports Radio. Coming up fifteen minutes from now.
Here on fs ARE, it is the return of one
of the more controversial weekly bits every single year in

(19:15):
the world of football. It is back tonight. We will
get into that here coming up fifteen minutes from now.
Because somebody gets screwed? Could somebody get absolutely screwed in
the world of football? Fifteen minutes from now we will
reveal the answer to that here on fs ARE. As
Eddie mentioned in his award winning National Update, Uh, the
trade deadline in the NFL is coming up later on today.
We've already seen Von Miller get dealt. Uh. There's some

(19:37):
rumblings about maybe some potential other trades in the NFL.
UM So who do we want to see get dealt?
All right? Who do? Let me just say this for starters,
I'd like to see Aaron Rodgers traded because I think
that would be one of the most screw you moments
in the history of the NFL. If in the middle
of a potential Super Bowl run, the Green Bay Packers said, Hey, buddy,
great season. Love what you're doing for us. You've proven

(19:59):
us wrong. Get your ass out of town. That would
be the most get up, take a walk, take a walk,
get your ass down to Miami and go play with
the Crumby Dolphins. We'll take to ah and a bag
of rolled golds in return. That's how that needs to
get handled that, Brady, are we really going to actually

(20:22):
spend the limited time that we have to talk about
the trade deadline to even respond to what you just said?
I mean, are we for real right now? Who's who's
a legitimate contender to get traded? Deshaun Watson. I'm tired
of the talk. I'm tired of all the discussion about
everything else. Like I just want him to move on
to another team. He doesn't want to play with the Texans.

(20:45):
They're apparently not going to play him. It sounds like
general their general manager nickis Sario, has an asking price
and they're not willing to move off at least at
you know, at this point in today's um you know
today before the deadline they're saying that. Now. I don't
know if he's gonna call Miami or another team. If
Deshaun Watson says, hey, I'm waving the no trade clause

(21:07):
to just get out of here, goes somewhere else. But
maybe he's willing to at the last moment call back
Miami and say, all right, I'm willing to accept that offer.
But I mean, that's the one that I'm just like,
we've talked about it so much, you know, regardless of
the legal stuff, I'm just saying from a football standpoint,
i want to see the kid play like. The NFL

(21:28):
is better when you've got a talented player like that
on the field. Now, whether or not we want to
debate what's out there from a legal standpoint, that's for
another conversation. I'm just saying I'm tired of talking about it.
I'd love to see the guy out there playing and
helping out one of these teams. Because lavarn I talked
about this last week, Jonas, the NFL has a parody problem.
We can already look at the FC South. You said

(21:49):
it it's over, it's done. The Titans have wrapped that up,
and it's true. You can look at a number of
other divisions too, and make that case right now, right
now in the NFL seas, it's wrapped up, it's done,
game set blouses like it's over man. And so that's
that's the one I want to see if it gets dealt.
I just I would say this about the Watson deal

(22:10):
and and Nick Assarial holding to his guns, right he maybe,
you know, saying all right, we're gonna pay a salary
for the rest of the season. We'll get into the
off season and then we'll revisit this. The problem with
that is is obviously the legal issues if those don't
get settled or don't go away. And the other issue
is what happens with Aaron Rodgers, what happens with Russell Wilson. Why,

(22:33):
as of both those guys want to get out of
the places they're at, do you think your quarterback is
gonna come before them considering all the legal you know,
consequences he could be under. No. So now that offer
that you weren't willing to accept it may look even
worse in the future if you're willing to play that
waiting game. Yeah, I just it seems like if a

(22:56):
deal could get done, it would have already been done.
I'm not going say that it is necessarily, but sometimes
the biggest deals, Yeah, blockbuster deals get done at the deadline.
Like that's that. That happens quite a bit actually, And
then listen, I'm I'm in agreeance with that. This is

(23:17):
definitely the most provocative of of trades. I can't think
of anybody else where it would, you know, truly, you know,
blow you away in terms of, oh, this is a
trade that I'd like to see. I don't. I don't
have anybody in a trade that i'd like to see traded.
I don't. I don't look at anybody right now. I
mean Khalil Mack. You know, what's his health or whatever? Yeah,

(23:40):
he can't you know, he could do better somewhere else,
if healthy, other than Chicago. Uh. But but the Deshaun
Watson it for me, it is all about the legal conversation,
you know, and hearing the reports that okay, Miami said,
you need to settle these these uh uh, these lawsuits

(24:01):
so that we can trade for you and get you
in here and you can come in and play immediately.
If those were those reports are true, and and that
Houston caught wind of it or whatever, and and said,
we are going to demand what we're going to demand
for him, or we're not doing the trade. This the

(24:22):
reason why this trade scenario is so so interesting, even
more so right now is getting to the deadline of
all of this. What is the story on the other
side of the trade deadline with Deshaun Watson? His story
keeps on giving, it's not there's nothing more with with

(24:43):
with more storylines connected to it. Then what's taking place
with Deshaun Watson? If he gets traded, that becomes the
largest story in sports, because what's gonna happen moving forward?
If he doesn't get traded, it may not be the
largest sports uh conversation in sports, but it's definitely a

(25:03):
conversation because is it gonna just go away? Uh, We're
not going to talk about Deshaun Watson. The Texans are
going to keep Deshaun Watson. Done deal. No, it's what
is the developments? Do Does Houston have any type of
of inclination to try to figure out how to get
Deshaun Watson back onto the field? And so to me,

(25:28):
I think that this is the biggest story for for
multiple reasons and and and so it'll be interesting to
see if it does get done in the waning moments
of the time winding down, Do you guys think it
gets done. If somebody gives you a Hunterbucks at the
sports book right now, does deal get done? I don't
think it gets done either. I don't. I don't think

(25:48):
it gets done only because I don't know that there's
a market for him. You know, I think Carolina, who
I thought could have been a player because of his
roots and given the aggressiveness of David Tepper, their new owner,
they could have been a potential player. And I think
we initially thought, oh, no, no chance, all right, Sam
Donald's playing so well first three games, and then he
started into this um, this path of really struggling, and

(26:11):
so that was that. That was, you know, maybe thrown
out there. I don't know that that makes sense. You
look at the team like the Philadelphia Eagles. Again, early
indications things are looking good with Hurts, maybe not. Now
that's the team that with draft capital everything else, you
thought it would be a fit. But the problem is
Watson doesn't want to go there. So, you know, one
of a few things has to happen. Either Deshaun Watson

(26:33):
needs to realize if he wants to get out of Houston.
If he wants to get out of Houston now, he
needs to be the one that raised his trade clause.
It opens himself up to playing elsewhere. If not, this
ain't gonna happen because they I think, in order to
get what Nickkissaria wants up, meaning the offer that's on
the table, probably from Miami or whatever has been discussed,

(26:55):
there needs to be a market. And if Miami is
the only team that you're willing to wave your no
trade clause too, you don't have a market. You need
multiple teams bidding up whatever that asking prices. And the
hardest the hardest thing is Philly is the only one
that if they give you next year's all three first
round picks with some conditions to it, they could get

(27:15):
this deal done. They could get this deal done, but
again Watson is not willing to do it. So for
that reason, I think Watson might be one of the
biggest things standing in the way of this trade getting done,
only saying he's willing to go to Miami. You know,
it was floated out there that there was the possibility
that Christian McCaffrey would be offered up in the offering
to Houston, and that would be intriguing if that had

(27:39):
held true. It comes out that you know, they wanted
to put put that one to bid that that was
not a true report. But nonetheless it did get reported,
and I do believe it was an insider. I don't
remember which one reported it, uh, but but he corrected it.
Maybe it was rap report that that had I don't

(28:00):
want to loosely throw out names, but I just did. Um.
But but that would be intriguing if they offered Donald
and and McCaffrey and some draft picks to get that deal,
that I would I would assume that there's a possibility
that there would be enough equity and that to be
able to try to get that deal done. If I'm Houston,

(28:21):
I get a Sam Donald who we could put in
and and possibly win some games. You get a running
back if he can stay healthy, you possibly win games.
And that helps Caroline out in a way because you
get a guy that you know when he's in the
in the game, he's making your team better. You're clearly
a much better team. Sam Donald is clearly a much
better quarterback when he has Christian McCaffrey. Problem is that

(28:44):
Christian McCaffrey is always dealing with an injury. And so
now you have that big contract that you just gave
Christian McCaffrey, you leverage that, you get Deshaun Watson, and
then you go from there and see what happens. I
that could be intriguing, but as that's I don't see
that being really stick to happen. And I believe that
was Jason locking for locking Ford. Here we go, thank you,

(29:04):
thank you for correcting the confirm who Jason locking for
out of d C. It's confirmed lock Confirmer yep, yep.
Adam Schefter needs to get on that. Schefters the one
of reporting it. He informed us. He's yeah, he's informing confirming. Yeah, alright,

(29:31):
two proms A coup to Joe. Here on Fox Sports Radio,
it's Lamar Arrington, Brady Quinn. Jody thinks I'm a hater today.
I am. I did come in hot with hate today,
did not know just for a p That's the only
one I don't get. Yeah, I was not hating on him.
I really wasn't. I was merely making them say they
could have they could have signed father time I did,

(29:51):
I did? I mean, Jonah said Toby Gerhardt, which totally
just a random name, but totally took it down to
lane that racist like it was the first dame I
thought of that was that that was the same box
we were playing in. I mean it was it's unfair

(30:11):
and you know what we're going to I'm I'm unapologetic
about it, I really am. But it was not hate
towards a p It's process old. He's my sports radio.
He's older than Brady, Quit and Jonas coming up next.
If you're if you're a big fan, yeah, easy, sticky.

(30:38):
Maybe it's a reference as happy Gilmour Ya Jesus, how
about that? Leaveing that alone, all right? Coming up next. Um,

of Joe Here on Fox Sports Radio, Slavar Arrington, Brady Quinn,
Jonas Knox with here on fs are coming up top
the next hour here on Fox Sports Radio, we will
continue our in depth coverage of the NFL trade deadline.

(32:05):
Uh you know some potential buyers sellers from around the
league who will be making moves as the deadline approaches.
Later on today, I will have that for you here
top of next hour on fs ARE Now it is
the return of controversy. Um. The controversy is that later
on tonight we will have the first edition of the

(32:25):
College Football Playoff ranking release. Now, Brady Quinn, is this
the last there's gonna be one of the last years
they're doing the top four, correct, because they're gonna start
implementing this eight to twelve? Or where do we stand
on all that? All that you know, humbo jumbo crap there?
What do we I honestly think we would already be
to the point where we could definitively say this is

(32:45):
the last year of four and we would be expanding
to eight or twelve. But the move by OU in
Texas to go into the SEC that caught so many
decision makers off guard at it put everything on pause.
I think there's a lot of conferences who were taken

(33:05):
back by it. They felt like it was done behind
the scenes without being informed of it. And you know,
that's where you got the the alliance whatever that's worth,
between the Pact twelve, Big ten and a c C
teaming up to say, hey, look, we want to ensure
that we have a spot at the table. And what's
up for grabs right now is this as ou in

(33:26):
Texas look to join the SEC, which will be the
biggest of the power of five at that point and
the Big twelve at this point becoming dismanded or I
guess the new version of the A A C. With
the teams that they're inviting in UM, you essentially have
four conferences that are gonna be playing for what eight spots? Right,
It's just gonna be hard. You're gonna be hard pressed

(33:48):
to see if if the Big twelve team can represent
but four conferences, and really the PAC twelve has been relevance.
Let's just throw them to the wayside. It's really the
Big ten in SEC and then Clemson in the a SEC,
Like that's what it's gonna be playing off for if
it's eight teams, you know those spots, which lends itself
to give the advantage to the SEC. So there's a

(34:09):
lot of conferences right now, commissioners athletic directors of big
schools within those other conferences that are like, hold a
second hold on. We want more teams to be a
part of it. We'd like to incorporate some Cincinnatis, like
a group of five team from the a C, and
we'd like to incorporate some other teams from our conference
because we don't want the SEC to be eating up

(34:31):
the majority of those eight spots, which I think in
at eight team playoff they probably would. Yeah. Uh well,
and and I think that, uh, you know, with the
debut edition of the College Football Playoff ranking release coming
up later on tonight, who's going to get the shaft?
All right? Who's going to get absolutely screwed by the
playoff rankings? And I would like to throw a Cincinnati
into them. I mean used to it that like you

(34:57):
was not no call me nostra domins, but um, I
caught myself the black Nostrodama. That's I mean, Roberto, that's
a but that's a real that's a real thing though.
That was what I called myself in in Washington, d C.
When I was doing radio you were doing the black

(35:18):
nostrodom Yeah. I did a lot of very very bold
and brave predictions that I knew um would come to pass,
and they actually happened to happen. How about that? Look
at you black nostro Yeah, and the very good. Now, So,
so do we want to take a stab at what
we want to guess the top four rankings will be? Uh?

(35:40):
Do we really need to guess Georgia big number one,
Georgia one. I don't know with one loss. I think,
I think you could find yourself with with a number
of different like potential candidates. Bama's one, depending on how
the College Football Playoffs used the SEC, and that loss
doesn't look as bad now that M's top fourteen, thirteen

(36:01):
whatever they are ranked now. Oklahoma, Oklahoma is the one
that's undefeated, but their strength of schedule has been awful,
and they've won a lot of one score games, even
though they pounded Texas Tech, who just fired their coach Um.
Their schedule has been really weird. They want to say
they're going to get more of the They're going to
get more of the benefit of the doubt than Cincinnati will.

(36:23):
That's true. That's true because Cincinnati is the only team
with a weaker conference schedule. Even though they do have
a better win like Notre Dames, that win was a
better one, they have far less bigger like that's their
big game, Like what else is there? That's the hard thing?
Like Oklahoma still has their toughest games ahead of so

(36:45):
maybe gets Cincinnati had him. I don't, but those two
teams will be I think in there somewhere nature might
play its course with Oklahoma Michigan State undefeated, but they
just beat Michigan. That's the first team with a winning
record outside still have to play pinn State, which I mean,
that's that's kind of fleeting at this point. Come on,
we are LaVar. Do they have Ohio State? They still

(37:07):
have Ohiouse. Yeah, so that's the one it is. How
are three next? Fox Sports Radio has the best sports
