crime in the NFL. We'll get to that here coming

end of the hour here on Fox Sports Radio. Yeah.

(01:03):
When that music came on, all I can think about
was that was the walkout music to the ring for
Carson Wentz's neck. Just for those of you that are
just do it again, we're handing out some good, bad
ugly Brany's ugly went to Carson wentz is left handed

(01:24):
pick six from last weekend, and it spawned, Yeah, a
lot of thing did It spawned the the picture heard
around the world. Thank you to Justin and Cincinnati, a
loyal Fox Sports radio listener who sent over a picture
of the uh neck acne question Jonas immediately distributed to us. Look,

(01:47):
it looks like the guy's got crop circles on his neck.
What do you want from me? Very sore? Are you
trying to say that like Carson Wentz could be a
part of m Night Shamala maybe like like a bunch
of glasses of water laying around and uh, I mean yeah,
it's like, uh yeah, it's like the iPhone camera that's
got the three things on the back. You can tell

(02:07):
somebody's got like the iPhone X. I guess what his
neck look like? Disgusting. Yeah, I'm just saying that looked
like a consolation did at night glowing looked like Draco
was on his neck. I think that's how we figured
out um at the time, that that he was under
a lot of stress in Philadelphia one winking do you

(02:31):
see one of his teammates hung his helmet on the
other one? Man, what do you want for me? And
I'm just I'm breaking down what we see on film here, right,
that is my job. And so when a theory, when
you have an extra eyeball or two on your neck, yeah,
you shouldn't be throwing interceptions or or taking sacks because
you should see the pressure coming from multiple angle. Yeah.

(02:53):
It's very uh, just that's odd, very bizarre that that
whole situation sca of like, yeah, just if that was
to be one of the pieces of Mr. Potato Head,

(03:13):
it would be like as big as the actual head. Yeah,
the carson wentz. Mr. Do you imagine if you had
a stick in piece that was acne? Yes, Mr Potato Head,
that would be a trip. And you know what, I'd
actually have more respect for because at least it's realistic,
Like like Mr Potato doesn't look like anybody. Yeah, he

(03:33):
needs like an ingrown or at least a few you know,
it's there, all right, I think we're onto something here,
all right, So the do they even still sell Mr
potato Heads. Well, we'll bring it back into style. Everything's
coming back around. It's all cyclical. Here's the thing for
the holiday season for parents driving kids around, we recommend
two pros and a cup of Joe the Mr Potato
Head Carson wentz Acne edition, in which I'm sorry, did

(03:59):
you see the action edition Action action? If you could
get those? All right? So, the NFL trade deadline came
and white not a lot of movement going on. We
talked about the Deshaun Watson situation that is still going on.
We talked about you know, Von Miller that was you know,
happened a little before the deadline. Um, you know, obviously,

(04:22):
Melvin Ingram gets traded from the Pittsburgh Steelers to the
Kansas City Chiefs. Do we have the Mike Tomlin quote
from that? This is Mike Tomlin with another gem. He's
been on a roll lately talking about the trade of
Melvin Ingram. I enjoyed working with Melvin. It just didn't
work out the way we envisioned, the way he envisioned.
And sometimes that happens in free agency, and that's really,

(04:42):
you know, culturally why we build our team primarily through
the draft. What the team needs is first and foremost.
That's the component of team sport and football in particular.
But from a team perspective, also is better to have
volunteers as opposed to hostages, and so that's good for
the team as well. So basically so so basically, he
he was a Merson there. He was selfish and whatever

(05:05):
it is he wanted that wasn't fitting what what Mike
Tomlin wanted and you had to go that. I mean,
that's the translation of that, right, Brad, Yeah, I mean, look,
he only got to start one game this year. He
was a situational player at best. But Alexander Highsmith, who
they drafted on the third round out of Charlotte a
couple of years ago, he's played well and and and

(05:26):
he's become the player they're hoping he'd be. And and
Melbourne Ingram was no longer need. If you get a
sixth round pick for him, great because he's up there
in age, so he's probably not signing for a huge deal.
So I don't I don't know that you're getting a
better compensatory pick. And um, look he could help out
the Chiefs now all right, Like Chris Jones they moved

(05:47):
him back inside. Frank Clark hasn't been grid off the
edge for them. He could he could help out that
group because that defense has been atrocious this year. And
maybe you add another piece like that and experienced veteran player.
If he stays healthy, he could help out that group.
He's a he's another piece to add to a pass
rush that struggled. I just find myself questioning can he help?

(06:09):
Because if he was good enough to help, how was
he not good enough to get onto the field. And
because he was gonna get first first chance anyway, they
brought him in there. And keep in mind because they
let but dupre they let him go into free agency.
You were looking to fill that void and I don't
know that you're looking to fill that void with your

(06:32):
draft pick at that point in time. And I think
that that's why it became such a critical situation to
bring in a Melvin Gordon into the Steelers situation. Mind you,
the most prolific, the most covered, the most looked at
position of that team is that position is that outside

(06:55):
the linebacking corps, the outside linebackers in particular of the
A three four defense. So if you can't come into
Pittsburgh as an outside backer and half success Roy he
but but he wasn't brought in to be the starter.
High Smith started the entire season. The only the only
time Ingram started was when high Smith was hurt Week three.

(07:18):
And look, if you look at he had eighteen pressures
in what six games whatever it's being, he had a sack.
I mean, it's they're not that bad a numbers given
his age and given that they've given the role. They
kind of put him in where he's only playing a
snaps if that on some of those passing downs. So look,
I understand, but he he wasn't brought in to be
the guy. He wasn't that. That's high Smith. That's why

(07:39):
he started every game. It's it's been more about I
think in my mind, just saying, hey, he's not playing much,
he's unhappy. We don't need that in the locker room.
We've had guys like that who were unhappy before, Antonio Brown,
et cetera. Levan Bell, we'll we'll move on from you,
like we don't need to keep you around. Because he
used the same hostages are volunteers as opposed to hostage line,

(08:00):
I think on Levy on Bell that was Thomas Like,
that's always been his motto. He's not trying to keep
guys around who don't want to be there. Um, let's
keep it in the division. Um the Odell Beckham situation
in Cleveland, He's still around Odell Beckham Jr. Yeah, Um, well,
didn't you know who that is? I'll say this much.
I know who his daddy. I think I saw that

(08:25):
name in a face on a milk carton the other day.
I don't know that was the last I've heard of that.
I just don't recall that name. Now. His his dad
took to uh Insecure Graham and decided to post some
some videos showing times in which Odell Beckham Jr. Was

(08:46):
open and Baker Mayfield didn't throw him the ball. Then
yet people chiming in. I think Lebron James even chimed
in for what it's worth, But then again, he chimed
in on everything, So who the hell knows? Uh, you
had some other people chiming in, and it's this whole
free O'Dell. Odell needs to leave Cleveland. But it was
his dad who We're gonna go ahead and pretend quote

(09:09):
unquote acted alone in posting these videos of him being open.
So now begs the question, Brady, with your former team,
what's going on with the Baker Mayfield Nodell Beckham Jr.
It's it's a it's it's gonna be a little awkward.
And I think it's an interesting play because if your
dad does it, I mean, if those two are conversing

(09:30):
in the locker room, they're probably he's probably like not
immediately Metowdell, He's like, come on, man, like what's your
dad doing? Right? What's your pops doing? Like we've all
got those crazy pops out there, moms who are a
little crazy, right, and they they they want your best interest,
but they're not always speaking for you. And so that
to me is like the cop out, right, Like, if

(09:50):
you're Odell and you want to, you know, try to
strum up something, try to get trade and try to
move before the deadline, you have your pops do it,
your mom's do it right, and then and then you
use that as the excuse, Well, that's them, that's not me, man,
because you did get your gass moved. So you're still
stuck in Cleveland where you're unhappy. And so the key
really moving forward is you gotta figure out how to

(10:12):
make it work. And and the one thing I've always
felt with Odell who hasn't been anything anywhere close to
the player that I think he once was when he
was wearing a Giant's uniform. And granted he's been banged up,
but he is so uber focused on himself all the time.
Like what I when I looked at all those clips,

(10:32):
whether it was versus Minnesota or whatever other game you
want to point to. Wide receivers have to understand their
job is reliant on everyone else in order for them
to get the ball. And so as much as you
want them to do their job where they need to
run the route the way they're supposed to run it
and be in the right spot at the right time,

(10:53):
even though all those things are important, that's their job,
they still need to realize, Hey, if the quarterbacks geting pressure,
you need to get in your route faster. You need
to get out of your cut faster, because if you
want the ball, you need to be able to look
for it. If you're running down field and you get
past that defender, you might want to turn and maybe

(11:13):
locate the football instead of acting like you're running a
hundred yard dash and you're not gonna look until he gets,
you know, fifty yards downfield. The ball is already up
in the air after twelve to fifteen yards, so the
ball is already up, go turn around and located. If
it's underthrown, you can get p I, you can maybe
make a play on the football. Either way, they're positive

(11:36):
things for your team. But it's almost as if he's
he's like so centered into his route what it looks
like where he is, that he doesn't care to take
into account what else is happening on the field. If
I was Odell right now, I'd be asking Baker every
day what more can I do to get the ball more?
Instead of you know, moaning or complaining or being indifferent

(11:59):
or having your dad put out this sort of tape
like that acting alone. Come on, you know, you know
what just listening to you, Brady, you know what makes
me really think about is, you know, as a coach
and you're breaking down film. As you're breaking down that film,
you could find if it's a running game, you could
find the running space for that running back in the

(12:22):
film and you could highlight it and say, look this
is where you should have ran. You can find an
open receiver in the film pretty much every single play.
There aren't very many plays where you would if you
pulled it up and you looked at it and scrutinized
it on film, where you would and see a guy
running open. So you're talking about all of those factors

(12:44):
that comes up Jackson. Hey, But anyway, which is that's
very funny. Uh uh. You could you could make the
case that Odell Beckham is running free and he's not

(13:05):
being targeted. Maybe it's on purpose, whatever it may be,
that it's it's a lack of the inability to be
able to run the offensive by Baker Mayfield. But if
you understand how this game works, that's not how it
goes like that. You can always look at the film

(13:25):
and point out what you should have did or what
it looked like in that moment, and those those elements
of being under pressure, or you thought the read priests
not read was going to be outside and it turned
out to be inside. And sometimes we lose sight of
the fact that how quickly the game is moving in
the game, Like we could go watch the film and

(13:48):
be like, let me slow it up, let me show you,
but in the game that s is moving so fast,
and then some things that you thought you saw you
didn't see something. Things that you you saw wasn't what
it was supposed to be. Those things happen all the time.
So it's the ability to be able to adapt in
the adjust in the immediate time of what's taking place.

(14:11):
So the idea of it to me is about the communication.
This is a communication problem. This is a breakdown in communication.
And not only is it a breakdown in communication, but Brady,
you're a quarterback. One thing out out throw your way
and you can confirm or deny. But if I don't
communicate with you, well then I don't have a strong

(14:33):
level of trust for you. And if I don't trust you,
I'm not gonna put this ball in front of you.
I don't care what your name is. I don't I
will not put myself on the line by trying to
deliver the ball to somebody that I don't communicate with us.
I do not have the trust for trust tree. Baby,

(14:54):
you gotta be on that trust tree otherwise, to your point,
you're not letting go of that football when you know
your wide receiver has got to run an out of
thirty yards before that intersection point happens. Right, So the
trust and confidence are two huge things that have to
be there between a wide receiver and quarterback. It's two

It's one of the great events all year long. This

weekend in the world of sports, We're gonna get intimate
knowledge from you. Next here on Fox Sports Radio. Yeah,
be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LaVar Arrington and
Jonas Knocks weekdays at six am Eastern three am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the I Heart Radio app.

(15:58):
It's two Pros and a Cup of Joe here on
Fox Sports Radio. LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with
the Here on FS are coming up in We'll call
it about ten minutes from now, we're going to get
back into the NFL. Uh. Still some things happening and
some people are responding to a trade rumors and stuff
that didn't get done. Apparently there was almost a move

(16:20):
made for a an NFC team trying to make a
blockbuster move in the NFL. So we'll have that for
year ten minutes from now on fs are right now though,
he is kind enough to join us here on Fox
Sports Radio. He is horse Racing Royalty. He is Simon
bray Uh. He is an analyst for t V g
uh former trainer. If you remember the great run that

(16:42):
Cigar had back in the day, he was heavily involved
at all that, and he is kind enough to hang
out with just a couple of the common folk here
uh in the horse racing community here on Fox Sports
Radio assignment. What's happening? How are you? Good morning? Good morning?
What an introduction? Wow, thank you. That's that's what I do.
Here's a prob them. We want to win money at
the Breeders Cup on a gamble. We want to win

(17:05):
money and you are you are the reason whether and
and basically the determining factors to whether or not we're
going to enjoy a Christmas as a family. All right,
it's no pressure. But you got any tips for us
with the Breeders Cup coming up this weekend, anything we
should look for, anything we should keep an eye on
and not be asking you to pick winners. Just some
tips and pieces of wisdom you can drop on us here. Sure, yeah,

(17:26):
I mean, look, we're working with our show right now
where I'm just about to go out to the track
right now about fifteen minutes, so we're covering all the
boarding workouts. It's really cool for for the viewers at
home on our network TVG because it's like going inside
a training camp, NFL training camp, and we do that
for about six seven days straight, and we get to
show fans all what they can't see most of the year,

(17:46):
and that's the horses training. We get inside, and of
course this is an international event. Hundred and sixty nine
horses entered, about a hundred and twenty of those coming
from outside the state of California, whether where the World
Championships have based the ship down in del Moss, So
we expose and get to see all those horses, and
you pick up you do pick up girls and and
and not get some wisdom for horses that you wouldn't

(18:08):
really expect. So, I mean, this week we've seen I
think a great, great horse in Loves Only You. She's
a Philly, a female horse that's running on Friday and
the Breeders Cup. Phill inmates her well traveled. She's looked
exceptionally well during training this week, and I think this
is the best chance the Japanese have had of winning
a major race at the Breeders Cup. That you know,

(18:28):
the horses here before journey logistics travel has been hard
for him, but I think this is the horse that's
really got a good shot. Loves Only You and the
Breeders Cup. Philamate Hey, Simon, help some of us amateurs. Okay,
as far as what's a look for when we go
down to the paddocks and we check out some of
these horses, what are you looking for when a horse

(18:49):
looks good to you, like a good looking Philly or
something like that, What exactly are you looking for? Because
usually by the time I get down to those paddocks,
I've had about six adult beverages and I'm not sure
what I'm looking at all right, So help some of
our listeners understand how they can win some cash maybe
if they're in that inebriated state at that point in time. Yeah, exactly, No,

(19:10):
I fully get it. Don't walk, I understand. And they
all look the same. When you've got fourteen horses in
the paddock, they all look the same at that point.
Why about six o'clock in the afternoon, Okay, So you
want to look for a horse that's um, you know,
not is on the what we call on their toes,
that looks alert, alive, ready to compete, but not too
not too aggressive in the paddock, isn't doesn't seem to

(19:31):
be sweating horses that you'll see going to the starting
gate or in the paddock to get typically warm and hot,
especially in you know, the fall temperatures right now, that's
a bad sign. That indicates that, you know, there's usually
some sort of issue going on, whether it's nerves anxiety.
They're frightened to the crowd because they're training and working
out in an empty trade racetrack each and every day,
and then you know, you cram thirty thousand people in

(19:52):
there with music, lights, hospitality tents and all the stuff
that goes along with it that can adversely affect a horse.
So I would look for a horse that's calm, well behaved.
And then far as physical appearance, you want to see
a horse with a nice I mean the most basic
thing to look for is a nice shiny coat, a
hair coat. And the horses tell you how they are
on the inside by how they're looking on the outside.

(20:13):
So if you go to horse has got a nice, clicked, healthy,
shiny hair coat this time of the year, that's a
good indication. What does that? How does that? And representation
representation of the operator? You know, you look at you know,
car racing. You could have the best car, but if
the person driving it isn't isn't you know, is a
depth at at handling it as somebody else a lesser

(20:36):
car may be able to beat that car that is
the supercar. How how does that play out in terms
of going into this scenario? And who are some of
the top jockeys to be paying attention to? Sure, I
mean that's a very good question. I mean we're we're
at the top of the level. This is a Grade
one races, the top of our sports. So you're getting

(20:57):
all the best jockeys, trainers in they have to qualify
to get hit um the jockeys. You know, these European
trainers are bringing their own jockeys, British Champion Jockey, Irish
fellow Ocean Murphy flying all the way over here to
ride horses. I think the biggest issue is it's it's
with with jockeys in particular. It's not that one is
better than the other. It's the ability to avoid mistakes.

(21:19):
It's one makes less mistakes than the other. As far
as jockeys go, I think they're all equally talented and
can get the job done, but one can avoid mistakes.
And I think the biggest thing on dates like this
it's not so much um you know, the jockey gonna
make a mistake. It's the trip. It's we've got fourteen horses,
big fields which we don't typically get on a daily basis,
and horse racing big fields on a tight turf course.

(21:41):
So it's luck and it's being able to navigate traffic.
If you've got a horse that's coming from off the pace,
well sometimes the best horse doesn't win, not by virtue
of the fact that the jockey made a mistake. It's
just there's nowhere to go. It's it's like being stacked
up behind four cars on a freeway and you can't
get by, and unfortunately that's what happens on these tide tracks.
He is Simon Bray joining us here on Fox Sports Radio.

(22:02):
He is an analyst for tv G, also a Grade
one winning trainer horse racing, a specialist, expert, analysts, you
name it, he knows all about it. Here kind enough
to spend a couple of minutes with us here on
fs ARE when in talking about the Breeders Cup this weekend,
what is it about? Because I think a lot of
people when they think horse race and think, oh, you

(22:23):
know the Kentucky Derby, and they think of the you know,
the Triple Crown and all that. What makes the Breeders
Cup different from all that? Why is it special in
comparison to some of the other events we see earlier
in the season, earlier in the year. Yeah, you're you're right.
That's a great question because horse racing, unfortunately, you know,
over the years of the public attendances has declined over

(22:44):
the years. You know, we're a four or five seven
day a week sport, and you know nowadays it's not
easy for people who you know, you can't just leave
your job on always has the Neon go to the
races and and Thursday the same thing. So you know,
the public perception is that it is the Triple Crown.
There are only two main events really the ground on
the Breeders Cup, the Triple Crown space over six weeks,
three races Kentucky, w Prick, this Felmont. Yeah, that's well established.

(23:07):
The Breeders Cup we're in its thirty eight year now.
They expanded it in two thousand and seven to two days,
so now it's fourteen races over two days on Friday.
Is the juvenile races are the two year olds the
young horses on the Saturday or the older horses. And
what makes it special it's an international It's it literally
is a world throb Championships. There were hun like I said,
a hundred sixty nine horses entered, forty eight of those

(23:29):
from overseas. And it covers all divisions. I mean. The
best analogy it's like the Olympics of horse racing. We
cover a lot of different disciplines. I guess it will
be the word for the Olympics. The analogy there is
we've got different age horses at different races, different surfaces,
so sprints, grass, long on the grass, short on the dirt,

(23:51):
long on the dirt, And the ultimate prize at the
top of the pack is the Breeders Cup Classic six
million dollars, the last race run on Saturday, and that
ultimately usually has a lot uh as far as deciding
the horse of the champion horse of the year, Simon
obviously that the turf plays a huge role and how
the these horses are on, what they like, what they
don't what, what what's del mar like? What? What kind

(24:13):
of what kind of track is that? Yeah, it's good,
it's a it's a mile and circumference and most North
American racetracs you don't have the dirt track on the
outside the turf on the inside. Um, it's a good surface.
I mean, I think you know they like the Europeans
like the Breedest Cup. Here on face failure wouldn't appear
like that. Why why would they want to travel halfway
around the world when you know, if it was based

(24:34):
in New York at Belmont or somewhere else to be
a little easier for him. But they like coming here
because they're guaranteed of the weather this time yet and
that's the that's the key in our sport um. You know,
you just don't want to get that day luge of
rain the day before because it affects the results that
it's just not ideal racing conditions. So the tracks perfectly
because you get perfect weather, and let's say with the turf,

(24:54):
you know, just absolutely perfect conditions here, fresh turf course,
it hasn't been run on since the summer, so absolutely perfect, Simon.
Can you add to I want to add to that
that question in terms of synthetic synthetic surfaces and play
can you can you just you know, give us a

(25:15):
little bit of insight and how that plays into the
handicapping of the races. Sure, well, there's no synthetic surface
here at del Mart, but it was a big It
was implemented in the United States about ten fifteen years ago.
There was a mandate to put synthetic surfaces in. So
it's not it's not dirt, it's not turf, it's it's
a it's a man made product, usually a rubber, some
some fiber glass fibers, and a couple of other man

(25:38):
made materials. And the idea thinking behind it was it
would be a softer, easier surface on the horse less
concussion almost like a rubber based racetrack really where the
horses bounce off it um. It didn't last very long, unfortunately.
The number of injuries dropped, Yes, catastrophic injuries dropped, but
there were there was an increase in um in sort

(25:58):
of soft tissue injuries. So they got away with it.
For most American race tracks. The places where it does
seem to be very effective the synthetic surfaces, or in
cold weather when when the dirt freezes up, you can't
run on the trip. So there are a few tracks
in North American Canada, in central Kentucky and some on
the East coast. It's been refined and it's been very
very well received, and it's doing very well in places

(26:20):
weather it's cold weather and horses like to run on
the winter. Uh. Simon, he is Get him on Twitter
at Simon tv G analyst for tv G by the way,
channel six or two on Direct TV. Simon, I swear
to God on this. During the pandemic, I bet on
a horse race in Japan. I'm not your story. Your story.
He had to. He had to h what we're supposed

(26:42):
to do, and there's nothing else to talk about. Everything
got shut down. There was a horse race in Japan,
people wearing masks. I didn't know any of the jockeys,
any of the horses, but I watched tv G and
I was able to gamble on a horse race in Japan.
Here's the problems, Simon, he lost like he usually of course. Yeah,
it's all about the action though, But Simon, we appreciate

(27:02):
a man. Good stuff to bray winning trainer analyst for
tv G. We're gonna be watching this weekend the Breeders Cup.
Thanks so much for coming on. Let's do it again soon. Yeah,
absolutely appreciated. It's gonna be a lot of fun watching
the Breeders Cup. And with fourteen championship races, we're thirty
one million dollars in person and awards. The Breeders Cup

(27:23):
is two days of horse racing, too big to miss.

LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas knocks need is two pros
and a cup of Joe here on Fox Sports Radio,
coming up twelve minutes from now here. In the scraps,

(27:44):
we could have seen the return and listen at the
doors not shut. A potential future Hall of Famer could
be making his way back to the NFL. So we'll
have the details on that twelve minutes from now on
fs are we're talking about the Odell Beckham situation in
Cleve and his dad, uh, you know, releasing the All
twenty two footage showing him open and Baker Mayfield not

(28:06):
throwing to him. Did you get that from you? You're
a yeah, I mean, you know, that's what I have.
All twenty two guys like to break down the film,
exes and knows things like that. It's just what I do.
You guys like to, you know, slap it around and
talk about the grab bass stuff. I'm more of the
excess and nose guys here on the show. So you know,
when I was in Washington covering the team during the
the r G three era, his debt was very involved

(28:32):
and and involved to the to the point of there
were reports that his dad would go code down into
the locker room at halftime and be helping make adjustments
during halftime the game. And here's the thing, it was

(28:53):
the most I used to give some of the most
repulsive and flamed momentary on him doing it because to me,
up a parent that is involved like that to any
capacity or degree that makes it to media about what's

(29:16):
going on with your son or any other you know,
your daughter or whatever. An approach sport. Being a professional
means dealing with sometimes not so ideal conditions, and if
those conditions are limited to performance on the field in

(29:38):
your profession, I have always felt that should be off
limits to parents. Let your kid be an adult. Brady
woul Chopper ever come to the locker room at halftime,
No try, And here here's how my family dynamics work.
Chopper would would not get himself involved whatsoever. Now my mom,

(30:00):
she wouldn't get involved. And the only time she ever
would was if I was playing poorly. She would find
her way down to chew me out and then find
her way back up to the stands or just leave
the game altogether. Uh not one no, no, not I
get it. High school, possibly even in college. No, not

(30:23):
even in college. She would just leave the game. Like yeah,
like we had we came back in a game we
had like a minute left against U c l A
my senior year. We came back, ended up winning, and
I remember my mom wasn't even there. She left, she
went to go she went because the game wasn't going well. No, no,

(30:43):
she went to go wash my car for me because
she wanted because she was just gonna leave, like she
she want to do something nice before she left to
drive back to Ohio. And so she literally went to
go wash my car, didn't see any of it. Came
back to the house that I was running, and everyone's obviously,
you know, having a good time talking about it, and

(31:05):
like she just kind of has this look of well, now,
I wish I would have stayed, but I was trying
to do something nice for you before I had to
go back. So that was how my mom operated. She
was she was just out. She was like, nope, not
hanging around for this. I am out of here. Well
apparently this according to uh ESPNS Kimberly Martin, that the
New Orleans Saints were in serious talks about trying to

(31:26):
acquire Odell Beckham Jr. That was that. That's a report
that time. So what happened, Well, nothing happened, I mean,
what was the report? Was there any other report that
I didn't contract, that the contract and and all that
that was too big? Yeah, it was too big for
his value isn't worth what he's getting paid right now.
So the Browns have to ask you this, if if

(31:47):
Baker Mayfield and Odell Beckham Jr. Sitting there on the
open market, who's who's getting more calls from NFL teams
around the league. Yeah, here's the reality of that though,
Like von Miller isn't being paid by the Rams, the
Broncos are paying for his salary this year and really
what they paid for our second and third round pick.

(32:09):
So if the Saints wanted to make that happen, they
could have had the services of Odell Beckham. They could
have made the Browns pay for it. It's just the
Browns didn't want to give up that sort of conversation
as far as draft picks go, right, or I should
say the Saints didn't want to give that up as
far as draft picks go. So, um, that's more of
the issue of value though. That's that's a value and

(32:29):
they don't value Odell Beckham that high, and that's what
And when's the last time that we have valued Odell
Beckham as the player not the brand. When is the
last time we've been It's been second year in the league.
It's been since New York. Yeah, it's been a while.
Its Two Pros and a Cup of Joey. So now
New York doesn't look so bad in terms of what

(32:51):
they did and letting them go, right. I mean at
the time people died, they were crazy. Yeah, but you
know it's not like they've exactly landed the you know,
they've done well New York. I mean they almost beat
Kansas City all primetime National point. All right, listen, good point,
all right, it is uh LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knocks.
Coming up next year we could see the return of

(33:13):
a potential future Hall of Famer in the NFL. We'll
tell you who it is next year. On fs are

Carson Wentz. We're gonna break down that matchup coming up

storylines from around the NFL, involving the Prop Bet Monster,

(34:41):
the PBM. We're also gonna look around at college football.
Are there's still complaints coming out of Cincinnati? How could
it impact this weekend's action? And plenty of other storylines
from the trade deadline, from rumors about players that are unhappy,
Baker Mayfield, Odell Beckham, what's the latest on that? And
the usual and Annigan's here three hours of it. It's

same place tomorrow of six am Eastern time, three o'clock

is time to put a bow on this bad boy
with a little something we do called this Come on,
how could you not get to? These stories? Are the scraps?
And for that we turn it over to the great

(35:48):
Lead delap Our executive producer, to find out what the
hell we've missed? What's happening? In case you missed the
Philip Rivers says he's not shutting the door on the
Saints if they call about the quarterback position, and he's
actually not far from New Orleans. He and his family
had moved to Fair Hope, Alabama, where he's a head
coach for the St. Michael Catholic High and just so

(36:09):
happens to be about a three and a half hour
drive from New Orleans. You guys think that could be
a potential match man. He wasn't that bad last year, Brady.
Let's go a little Philip Rivers back in the NFL.
Come on, why don't retire? Then? I don't get it, Like,
weren't the Colts supposed to be one of the top
teams in the NFC South? Like why making a one
and done? It was more about the family and wanting to,

(36:31):
you know, be closer to his roots or something. Is
that what that was about? Like why not be with
the Colts right now? Then? I mean I think he
knew that, you know, they had an affinity for for Carson.
I think we have sound of him saying so many
guys that yeah appropriate, I mean, yeah, why Okay, Philip,

(37:02):
what do you what are you talking about? That's Brady?
That's yeah, do that again? Do that again? Let me
hear it again? Doing it with so many guys sounds
like it's Philip rivers. That's very passionate. I'm so sorry. Um,
that's all right, listen, it happens. So I felt like

(37:24):
that was a great impression. By the way, is that
racist you're trying to say? I say, all all Brady
Quinn sound alike. Yeah, he's racist against Irish interest. What
are you gonna do? Attack McGregor next? It's awful? I'm sorry,
all right? What else? You alright? You guys, we get
one of these at least once a year. A Los
Angeles area high school is apologized for its beat down

(37:47):
on last Friday. That was Inglewood High School's principle had
to issue a written apology after they beat down Morningside
one and six to zero. They put six zero in
the half, and they refused to put a running clock
at the end of the first quarter. So why should
they apologize? Why would you put a running clock at
the end of the first quarter? Was it over forty

(38:10):
in the first quarters? It was pretty much done. Yeah.
I think you have to get to like forty points
thirty five. I believe maybe thirty five or forty before
it starts to be a running clock. Tough balls get better, right,
I mean, here's my question with you on that. By
the way, once you get to their job not to kick.
Some of their team's asked, what if you get hurt
trying not to to play? Like what, Like, here's my thing.

(38:32):
If it's so bad to continue to execute because you're
asking those kids to stop executing for the sake of
your opponent. Well there wasn't much execution. Why not? Well
there was an execution? Why why not? Why not just
call the game? If you felt like it was getting
that far out of hand, where it was that disrespectful,
why not just call the game? It wasn't the and

(38:54):
you sat there and people watched them get to a
hundred points. Wasn't the over under one or seven and
a half. So maybe there, well there you go. I'm
just saying like, maybe you know what this reminds me of.
It's like one of those stat padding games that like
Zack Wilson had last year, group of five schedules. Did
you say what Brady does did right there? Yeah? Yeah,

(39:16):
it was like one of those hundred point games. You're like, oh,
and how many? How many touchdowns? Yet I tend I
tend touchdowns at a game one time. Mike White has
now justified what Brady just say there we go. Unbelievable.
All right, what else we got? Lee? You guys? We
talked about it last week, Mike Tomlin being rumored to
be in for the USC job. Well, Steelers players been

(39:36):
having some fun with it, trolling Mike Tomlin by rocking
some USC gear at practice. Of course went to USC.
So that that thing was about that though, Like was
Juju disrespected by it? You know? Like was he like
taken back? But oh, you don't want to coach my
alma mater? Well, I mean I think he's me. When's
the last time Juju made a TikTok videos? Been like

(39:58):
an hour and a half. I'm just ask you, are
you into TikTok? It's just I think it's weird. It's
just a weird I think it's weird. You're so into it? Okay,
MTV didn't work doing professional music videos. All of a sudden,
you get these amateurs out and they're going to bring
it back. Did work? It worked? Yeah, definitely works. Okay,

(40:19):
I got rid of Carson Daily. It all went down
and when Total Requests Live went out the window. Julie Brown, Yeah,
they had a bunch of great what do you call
vj's Yeah you had a crush on downtown. Yes, I
love there was the crackhead they had on their Remember
that guy Jesse or something there was like, oh guy, yeah,

(40:40):

Kurt Loder was the man though curtl Every time Kurt
Loder came on, it was like, oh boy, what happened?
I loved MTV raps. By the way, Yeah, I think
I found out about the o J stuff from Curt.
