What's wrong? You want to apologize to Lee again? I'm
sorry on on air. Let me apologize for everyone. I
was making fun of Jonas actually, but you know what
we we didn't get to in case you missed it,

(01:24):
because I went off on this me too wild chant movement,
um tangent and I apologized Lee. I'm sorry. I told
her I totally hijacked the segment. He stormed out, Yes
he did. Sorry, Sorry, sorry about that, lady. I just
see you know what happens. You know we won't do

(01:44):
we won't do in case we missed it today. Sorry
my apologize. Oh yeah, it's all good, you know, I mean,
I mean Lee stormed out, I mean was very upset,
visibly shaking. Yeah, you ran out and had to go
console him and give him a hug, like y'all do.
Y'alls were brother in law or step brothers or brother
from another mother. I don't know. Y'all got a weird relationship,

(02:07):
trust me, But I'm just saying I do apologize. Alright, Alright,
we got that out of the way. Good, So now
we move. Yes, he is back in the control room. Yes,
he is back in the saddle after having an emotional breakdown. Yes. Uh, Now,
here's the the situation that we've got in the world
of college football. Obviously, a lot of changes, coaches um

(02:30):
coming and going, leaving, departing, going to other places, getting
pay raises that we talked about, to the Brian Kelly fiasco,
we talked about LaVar is a defensive coordinator at at
Penn State leaving to go to Virginia Tech. All of
this is happening. But we also had a college football
playoff ranking reveal last night that was dropped on us.

(02:51):
And as it stands right now, the college football playoff
rankings we had to do conference championship weekend are Georgia, Michigan, Alabama,
and Cincinnati Oklahoma State and Notre Dame is sitting at six.
So how are we going to get some chaos? Because,
as you pointed out, Brady, it is not that impossible

(03:13):
to think that a couple of these teams could lose
this weekend and then everything gets thrown into the wood chip.
Right now, we've got to figure this whole thing out
in about a week from now, it's gonna be Yeah,
let me just go about kind of talking about the
lines and where we're at right so so george are
the number one overall seed. They've been that way for
a while now. Uh, they are a six and a
half point favorite over Alabama. I fully suspect Georgia to win. Now,

(03:37):
this will be close, and in part because they've got
Bryce Young, who should win the Heisman Trophy as their quarterback.
Jamison Williams will be back for this matchup, and so
I think it'll be a little closer than people realize.
But that being said, Georgia wins, that's gonna knock Alabama
out now at that number three spot with two losses,
non conference champion out of the top four. Then you

(04:00):
look at the matchup between Michigan and Iowa. Michigan moved
up three spots. They're a ten and a half point
favorite over the Hawkeyes. Now this is an overreaction in
my opinion. This is an overreaction of what we saw
between Ohio State and Michigan in Ann Arbor and the
way Michigan dominated that game. Uh, Michigan hasn't been able

(04:21):
to dominate anyone quite like that. And this Iowa football team,
say what you want, they don't score a ton of
points or sometimes struggle to do so. But their defense
is damn stingy, and they'll have a hard time scoring
against that defense and not turning the football over against
that defense the way they play. So that's another game
where I like the dog to cover and maybe even

(04:41):
Iowa and LaVar was there to witness it with me.
Against Penn State, granted they lost Sean Clifford, that had
a lot to do with it. They knocked him out.
We didn't lose him. That knocked him out of the game,
and we witnessed it together like they just kind of
hung around, knocked him out, and then they finally made
a few play to win that game. I think I
what covers that and there's a chance the outright win it.

(05:04):
So if you have the number two team, the number
three team being bounced out, and you've now got an
Iowa team that sits what is it? At eleven? They're
even in top ten as a two lost Big Ten champ.
I have a hard time believing they're gonna leap frog
them all the way up in the top four. So
if that scenario plays out, or even Cincinnati, if they

(05:24):
were to lose the Houston even though I don't see
that happening this weekend, Heus is a good football team,
but I think Cincinnati's gonna win. You've got two spots
now with two teams that have lost two games that
aren't going to somehow stay within that top four. And
that's where if Oklahoma State beats Baylor, which is likely
in my opinion, you've got Oklahoma State coming in. But

(05:46):
then there's Notre Dame sitting at six. And as I
said yesterday, I think the College Football Playoff Committee is
scared of the current situation at Notre Dame. I think
they're gonna do all they can in at scenario or
in a chaotic scenario to keep them out because they
don't want to have to deal with what could be

(06:07):
a team that may not have their offensive coordinator and
Tommy Reese may not have their defensive coordinator Marcus Freeman.
They already don't have their head coach, and Brian Kelly
he's gone. I think they're worried about putting that team
in the playoff given those circumstances, regardless of the fact
that they've played some of the best football of anyone,

(06:27):
especially especially after that loss. So it's a chaotic scenario,
but trust me, the College Football Playoff Committee doesn't want
to be concerned with potentially a team going in without
a head coach, and so I'm saying, I'm telling you
right now, even in a chaotic scenario, they're gonna try
to hold Notre Dame out, even though they'd be deserving
in that in that scenari and Gary bard A hinted

(06:48):
at it last night and sort of, well, you know
that wasn't factored in this week, but we would take
it into account. I think that's such crap man like that,
that's that's the equivalent to a starting player getting in
your and all of a sudden, now you reevaluate whether
or not that team's worthy enough to get in. Like
if we were playing that game, imagine what they would
have done to Ohio State with the Cardel Jones situation.

(07:09):
He was the third string quarterback back then, and they
ended up making a run and winning a national title.
I think that is such a cop out. That is
such bs. In fact, I think it makes it a
better story if this team, who everybody feels like, got
screwed over by their head coach and left at the
altar when they're trying to chase getting into a national championship.
If that team without said coach ends up making a

(07:32):
run to go to the national championship. I think that's
a better story. Why wouldn't you want that played out?
It's a bigger brand than too that. That's the other
thing you have to acknowledge is if you've got Oklahoma
State going in and you've got Cincinnati going in, you
gotta be so you gotta be a little bit concerned
about ratings. People may be concerned, but let's let's not

(07:52):
get it twisted, folks. This is about business, right. It
ain't your business. It's show business. So they were out.
They're about making sure that they get the type of
brands where those ratings will be there, the viewership will
be there. And that's the only thing that I would say,
would maybe give Notre Dame because the storyline you're talking about,
and because of the brand, a chance of them saying

(08:15):
we gotta do what we gotta put them in. And
by the way, Brian Kelly doesn't call it plays on
either side of the ball, you know. So if you
still have your coordinators intact, I mean, I don't know
if they'll end up naming an interim head coach or not.
But the reality is it's not really gonna matter that
much schematically with how this team goes about. Honestly, well,
what all the reports coming out they might call better games, Well,

(08:36):
they're not gonna get the you know, the middle finger
at some point there is that Well, I mean, they
do seem like it's been a It does seem like
it's a a little bit of a rallying cry, just
based on some of the stuff that you know, guys
have taken to social media to talk about just sort
of you know, this is still about us. There's a

(08:57):
video of the strength coaches we mentioned ear here talking
to the team saying he's not going anywhere. I I
I just think if there's an opportunity to get that
team who's a little bit wounded right now based on
how that handled into the College Football Playoff, if the
committee uses that as an excuse to not include them,
I think it's a bunch of crap. I think it's shortsighted,
and I think they've missed an opportunity to have a

(09:19):
team that a lot of people would actually rally around
based on the current situation. Are they America's team right now?
I mean think about it, like you kind of got
a team that has has played pretty darn well this
season and they've gotten better and better, and now they've
got a head coach that just up and left and
they got screwed. Yeah. I mean I I kind of
sit there and think to myself, like, I don't know
how you can't root for these kids and these young men,

(09:42):
I should say not kids, they're they're young men. I
don't know how you can't root for him. And I
know people can sell all you're biased, and it's not
that if this had happened to any other school feel
the same way, I would feel the same way. I
feel like, dude, you know what, good for those kids.
Hopefully they have a shot to go in there, because
I've always felt this like the coach is kind of
that guiding light. But at the end of the day,

(10:02):
it's about the players. It's about you know that, the
team and those guys on the field doing it. So
if that scenario plays out, I hope they give him
the shot to prove themselves. Bob Stoops hinted at it yesterday.
He was at a press conference and he said, look,
I'm going into the college Football Hall of Fame based
on the players. Like he said, no No, No, one

(10:23):
guy is bigger than the program. We talked about um
obviously Lincoln Riley and himself, and he talked about Barry Switzer.
He said, this is about the players, Like the players
are what matter. The players are the most important thing
about this program. I mean, if that's the case, let
him run out there, who would who would be the
interim head coach? Who? What's the plan there as far
as who's going to coach this team up if they

(10:44):
are to make a run and potentially get into a
playoff game. So that's the issues The athletic director, Jack
swarbrick Um doesn't feel like there's a need for that
because of their structure and and maybe that's kind of
telling of how how they've operated this year is Yeah,
they don't have their your head anymore. But when it
comes to football, like that really wasn't what his role was. Um.

(11:04):
I mean, all this stuff has kind of been a
well oiled machine. Tommy Rees handles the offense, Marcus Freeman
handles the defense, Brian Pullan handles special teams. Now, if
I had to put one in that spot, who knows
that he's not gonna be trying to politic for the
head coaching job, it'd be Brian Pullian. He's been a
head coach before, he's one of the more elder statesmen there,

(11:26):
and and he touches obviously all three phases. Right when
you're on special teams, you talked to all the players
in the team, So it would kind of make some
sense because then that allows Tommy to focus on offense,
Marcus to focus on defense. But there's a lot of
players who are pushing for Marcus to be not only
the interim but potentially the next head coach. And I

(11:46):
think right now, you know, there's so many moving parts
that if I'm Marcus Freeman's defensive coordinator, like, I don't
know that I'm focused on that so much as I
am just seeing where we fall and if we're playing
for a national championship, if we're in the playoff, I'm
just focused on going in there and trying to help
our team get a win. Because regardless of what Notre
Dame decides to do at that head coaching spot, whether

(12:08):
it's him and he gets a head coaching job, or
it's another candidate, like he's gonna have a shot to
be a head coach somewhere else, Like let's let's just
play out this scenario if they end up playing either
in New Year's six or they end up playing the
semifinals at some point around New Year's Eve, and they're saying, hey,
we're gonna wait, We're gonna be very patient with our process,

(12:29):
and Luke Fickle ends up being their number one guy. Well,
if Luke Fickle leaves Cincinnati, who do you think is
gonna be the number one candidate for the head coaching
job at Cincinnati. It's Marcus Freeman. So that's where I
kind of just say, I don't know that I would
rush to do anything if I was him, even though
there is a lot of momentum right now from Notre
Dame recruits, Notre Dame players who love him and want

(12:49):
him to be the guy, and I do think he'll
be a good head coach. But the reality is it's
hard to cut your teeth on that position as a
head coach because it's more of a CEO a position
than it is an actual coach. I mean, your fundraise
and you're meeting about all sorts of different things and
your donor base on a national level, and dealing with

(13:09):
everything else besides being a coach. And sometimes it takes
a little while to get accustomed to that because it
operates deffinitely at n d It's Two Pros and a

an NFL head coach is telling the truth or if
he's trying to play some games all right, trying to
play a little less psychological warfare. We'll get into all
that for you next year. On fs ARE, be sure

week days at six am Eastern three am Pacific on

Coming up later on this hour, we're gonna have another
edition of The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly hand
out some awards here in the middle of the week
from the previous week in the world of sports and Beyon.
So we'll get to that here later this hour on

(14:18):
fs are. By the way, before we get to this
um situation at quarterback for one team in the NFL,
we do Uh, you know, somebody wanted to say hi
to you, Brady Quinn. Uh. You know you remember our
former technical producer Bobo on us. Okay, he's listening to
the show right now. Guy. He wants to know if

(14:38):
you're still slappy. So there is that. So it's good
to see half of Bobo's listening there. Uh say that
I was about to say that they that is true, Yeah,
Aaron Pak Yeah, all right, are you guys done having

(15:04):
your just your personal moments from when you guys were
without me, explain what you're looking at right now? And
I'm looking I'm looking up with two thousand and eight
Washington football team roster. Yeah, who was the who was
the receiver on that team? Because he's very gifted according

(15:25):
to I don't know about all that. Good play, yeah,
real good player. It's hard to watch him play. Yeah,
But nonetheless it's like you you know how like you
see it did animal on the side of the road.
It's like you look at it, but then you don't
want to look at anyway and you look away, but
then you gotta look again, and it's like you take

(15:45):
another look again. Yeah, that's the point. Yeah, that's what
It's a great point. I hope you guys put that
one together. I did. There was a whole lot. Got
got a V I p R up there whatever that means.
You know, you'll see you look at the picture, all right. Um,
so let's get into us at at quarterback for the

(16:06):
New Orleans Saints because Sean Payton, I mean it felt like,
you know, Taysom Hill was going to be the guy.
We're gonna get some Taysom Hill here playing the Dallas
Cowboys on Thursday night football. That'll be coming up here
a little over tomorrow night. And um, yet here we
are Sean Payton saying, well, we're gonna see how he's
doing tomorrow meeting today. So now things are up in

(16:26):
the air. You know, Trevor Simeon, uh, you know, still
in the mix. Um, Tayson Mill has been dealing with
some sort of an ailment, a foot issue, which made
him unavailable last week. So what is the um, what
do we need to do to get Ian Book some
love here? Like at some point we talked about it yesterday.

(16:47):
I mean, it feels like you don't want to go
to Simeon Tayson Mills not quite a and Sean Payton
is either playing some psychological warfare because he doesn't want
the Cowboys to be fully prepared forever the quarterback is
going to be tomorrow night. Did do the right thing? Right?
You throw? Throw Ian Book a bone? Man, It's been
a rough couple of days for Notre Dame. I mean,

(17:07):
what are we waiting on here, Brady? That's why he's
gonna do it. Hey, guys, um, you know we're still
in the middle of a playoff on here. But I'm
just gonna do Notre Dame a favor. That's nothing. I'm
I do think it's important for them, uh to see
what they have in Book at some point this season
now because they still got a shot at a wild

(17:28):
card spot. Maybe he doesn't want to put that in
his hands yet. That's a lot to carry for a rookie.
But I'm with you, because there's no need to go
back to Trevor Simeon. We we know what he's capable
of or what he's not. Taysom Hill. We've seen him
before at quarterback. So unless you feel like you're gonna
try to ride this thing out and it's gonna be
a little bit of a different offense, you have to

(17:49):
utilize his running ability. Their running backs have been banged up,
they've been missing some guys, so maybe he feels like
that's a missing element to their offense. But Ian's capable
of scrap I look around and doing some things. And
the other thing I just say is, you know, you
take away that ability of Taysom Hill to impact the
game situationally as the wildcat quarterback or tight end receiver

(18:11):
kind of whatever you wanna call that slash position. So
you take that away. So I'm with you. I don't
really understand why they don't give him a shot. You know,
maybe they feel more confidently putting Taysom Hill in for
the short term, but you're gonna see him at some
point in time to season. I think you have to,
especially if they're not in the hunt for the playoffs,
just to go in this offseason, knowing what you have

(18:31):
on your roster. I haven't seen the injury report from
from the Cowboys. Is Lamb coming back this week? Like
who's coming back? He'll be back? Amari Cooper's yeah, he's
questionable questionable, which if Jonas calls him questionable, he'll probably
be out. So thank you that's happening. That's unbelievable. How

(18:53):
I get my balls broken? Because at the time when
I did the propert Monster marketing, which was six hours before,
what do you want me to do? I'm listen, this
is the time, so we're in mark Ingram was questionable,
and next thing you know, he gets announced that he's
not going to be playing, and Brady Quinn can't wait
to fire off a text. Hey, by the way, mark
Ingram out? Nice? All right, settle up, partner. Unbelievable, alright, sorry?

(19:19):
Would you would you like a monitor your little brothers here?
We have an issue here, you little we were a movie,
this would be the funniest jump ever. I was doing
a Thanksgiving dinner slash Christmas dinner. It's just interesting, that's
all I'll say. Um, I think our family reunions would
be amazing. Uh, listen, you don't have your head coach

(19:43):
for for Dallas for this game tomorrow. I think that's
a tremendous, uh, you know, piece of evidence, you know,
to say that New Orleans has a very very promising
opportunity here to take advantage of McCarthy being out of
the game him due due to the VID and and
so whatever it is that Sean Payton believes is the

(20:07):
right approach and whoever that is with, then that's what
you gotta do. Because again I'm still trying to to
make a season of this, and I'm you know, it's
one thing to try to evaluate, you know, your talent
or see if you're you know, a guy that you
have can be that guy for you moving forward. But

(20:29):
it's like kind of like, what do you choose in
a moment like this. You have a vulnerable team that
doesn't have their head guy that's gonna be there, and
you're going into a prime time game. I would assume
that Sean Payton is gonna want to put his best
foot forward with the team that he presents um on
that stage. So who who whatever quarterback that is, and

(20:50):
and here's the thing, right, whatever the reasoning is, whoever
we see come out there starting that game is who
he felt gave them the best chance has to win
the game, and that would be interesting. Let me ask
you this if New Orleans was further out of the playoffs,
because right now they're they're tied with Washington for the
final playoffs spot, but there's some tiebreakers and they're sort

(21:11):
of you know, second and third down the list. If
they were further out of the playoffs, would Ian Book
be the starting quarterback tomorrow? Because I think he was. Yeah,
I think I think this. I mean that is so
what what is it? What do you think the plan
is going to be for them in the off season,
because look, Jameis Winston. I mean he he played okay

(21:33):
at times this year, there were a couple of games,
but he is going to be coming off, you know,
the injury. Are they gonna be one of these teams
like possibly a Carolina who knows what Miami although two
us started to play much better, that are going to
be in the market. The Giants, We've talked about them,
you know, being a suitor for Russell Wilson. Is New
Orleans gonna be one of these teams that's going to

(21:54):
be in the mix for one of these big time
quarterbacks that could be had, whether it's Russell Wilson, Deshaun Watson,
Aaron Rodgers. It feels like that's a team along with
Pittsburgh that's gonna be in the mix for one of
one of these big name guys. Like it feels like
Sean Paye would want to make a move like that,
I think. I mean, there's a lot of moving parts.
I think there's probably some veteran qbs, whether it's Aaron

(22:17):
Rodgers or Russell Wilson, maybe even DeShawn Watson, that they
should think about that as a potential landing spot. I mean,
it's he's a great play caller. They've got an organization
that you know is willing to build out around. They
typically draft well developed. Well, it's an attractive destination. I mean,
I'll leave it at that because I think they've got
a shot. I mean, the only thing standing in their
way is they're in division with the defending Super Bowl

(22:39):
champs this year. The Books still would to be one
of the best teams. I mean, I guess maybe you're
thinking I'll go there and have the battle Tom Brady
for however many more years, but eventually it will be
their division again, So it's an attractive spot, it really is.
There will be competition, I mean, let's be real, and
there will there will be that sense of does Aaron
Rodgers want to go from Green Bead and New Orleans?

(23:00):
That does Russell want to go down south? And doesn't
want to go to New York because I keep getting
the sense that he wants to be in a bigger
market then Seattle, and he wants to get to the
East Coast. He's already won a super boy, has been
to two. You know, maybe it's more about building that
part of his off the field ventures. I want to
where does Sean Payton stack as far as play callers

(23:21):
and respected guys top three depending on who you are,
I mean. So, so it's definitely a destination that that
would be under consideration. So we'll see how it goes.
But come on, make the move. Get Ian Book in
the game for god's sakes. Let's let's let's get some
of some new blood in New Orleans. He we're working

and safety protocols. The trail Blazers they best the Pistons
one ten to ninety two. C. J. McCollum putting out

(25:54):
twenty eight points. How about the nets as they staple
the Knicks one twelve to one ten. James Anson made
two free throws with two point two seconds. And then
obviously the college football conversation is a hot topic here
with number one Georgia taking the playoff ranking, then right
behind them is Michigan. Third would be Alabama, and then

(26:15):
rounding out the top four is Cincinnati and LaVar some
some for some reason, I can't see Penn State. I
don't know that maybe there was an oversight there. They
should be in there unless they're not. Uh. In college basketball,
Ohio State is victorious against number one Duke seventy one
to sixties six. The buck Eyes held the Blue Devils
scoreless for the last four and a half minutes of

(26:36):
this game. And then number two per Due, who is
now assuming that Perdue doesn't lose the rest of the
week here they're gonna be number one next week and
they devastate Florida State ninety three to sixty five. Those
boiler Makers are seven and oh on the season. Let's
get back to to the three amigos, the three dudes,

(26:56):
the triple option. Here, it is LaVar, it is Rady,
it is Jonas, and it drew the issue of Cuba Hoover.
That was one of my classic lines is that you
try to say Cuba Hubbard, Yes, yes, that was what
did you say, Chuber hoober and it drew the issue

(27:19):
of Cuba. Hooverard sounds the same. Let's say Hoover like
the Hoover vacuum. Yeah, that's like I do. Like that.
You took a subtle shot at Lavarre. Penn State the
way would wipe the floor with Organ State. I just
want you to know that if they okay, playoff, but
what about a bullgame with u c l A Penn

(27:39):
State and U c l A still be a waste
of time. I'd still take Penn State. Really, yes, what
do you mean? Really mean? Really? Wait, Finley, you think
u c l A would be Penn State? Yes, this
version of the Penn State what do you mean this version?
What do you this version? Finley? What are you talking? Yeah,
I mean outside, I mean Illinois. I'll give you that.

(28:02):
But yeah, that was a bad one. Look at all
the teams the Penn State is lost to, and who
is la fin They've won. They scored sixty two points
on USC. They scored thirty USC because USC of a

(28:23):
sudden come back. Yeah, amazing, Just wait, you guys just
be paying. I can't wait to watch them in the
college football play aff the Pact twelf conference and oh
they're not even by the way. By the way, Finley,
you were such a slot too. Here's here's why he
picks and chooses which one he wants to root for.

(28:43):
Last week it was old miss in the egg ball.
This week it's u c l A pick a side, dude,
be loyal to one or the other. Stop fooling around
on somebody else. Dominating team in the last ten years
is Brian Finley and his cellmate Jared from Subway. I
like that. That might be the best sound bite ever.
And the history radio and that's that. That's a that's

(29:07):
that's Chris Plank who that might be the best? Who
didn't think to read that before you went on the
air with it? How's that sell mate deal going? And
I bet you Penn State would lose to you guys. Now,
I will say that we would not win in a
match against you and your seal mate. I will say,

(29:28):
what's that movie with Adam Sandler and Adam Sandler He's
got the football team and that team the remake famous
movies ever? That team would beat this year's Penn State. Okay, wow,
and you thought that was funny when when you was
thinking that through your head. You were like this, I'm
gonna fire this one on. Jonas is laughing, So I

(29:50):
guess somebody thought I was laughing at LaVar's breakdown of
your delivery of the joke. That's that's what I was laughing.
I'm just mad that you didn't dispel the whole you know,
selmate thing. You're like, yeah, you know, and you want
to know how we were. We were like the Adam
Sandler group and in that movie what was the name
of it called oh yeah, oh The Longest, The Longest? Okay, yeah,

(30:14):
you just did. Yeah, you just did. U c l
A would be Penn State. That's the disrespect they have
for Penn State. Man. And by the way, Chip Kelly
was on the hot seat coming into this year. So
let's not pretend like it's the most squeaky clean, well
run organization there at U c l A. Well, right,
I don't. I don't hate on U c l A.
I'm a fan of a job of improving, getting better,

(30:36):
but let's call it what it is, dude. We would
run them off the field. There is such a gap
between the SEC and Big ten and everyone else. It
literally there's a gigantic gap with the other three power
of five conferences. It's it's literally like a power two
and that's essentially a Big twelve is three. Correct, We're

(30:57):
doing a Big twelve three? Then, yeah, because you've got Oklahoma,
Oklahoma State, Baylor who kind of have been in the
mix this year. You know, usually historically Texas has been
even though they're not. But yeah, I think Big twelve
would be three. And then you know, the a c
C has been propped up by Clemson. I'll actually I'll
actually give the pactwel of this credit. That's a there's

(31:17):
more parody and it's a little deeper conference than the
a c C. But they don't have a team that's
as good as Clemson. Traditionally, at least since the playoffs started,
how good Clemson has been. The last Pack twelve team
that was in the playoff was Washington, right a couple
of years ago, and they well, they scored on their
opening drive and then they didn't score the rest of
the game. Who was that they were playing? It was

(31:41):
in Alabama. Took him to the wood ship. It's like
a battle axe to him. Yeah, really were all started
going downhill though, was the first year was Oregon when
they were in the National championship in Ohio State with
a third string quarterback physically abused that entire program and

(32:02):
the Pac twelve. They they didn't. They haven't recovered since.
Like the whole narrative of like finesse football, like that
has still been the thing and they have not recovered
since that game. I think Petro still talks about it.
By the way, Petros are joined us next hour, I
think he still talks about that. I kid you not.
So I was on I was on a panel desk.

(32:23):
I was the only one who picked Ohio State in
that matchup, and I remember sitting there quietly in the
back room. I watched him kick a couch. And They're
never gonna take it seriously. They're always gonna think we're soft.
He went off on this whole tangent and was freaking out.
As as a sequel, Elliott just ran down their throat

(32:43):
the entire day after his last update, It is two
pros and a cup of Joe here. Fox Sports Radio,

Pros and a Cup of Joe. Fox Sports Radio, LaVar Arrington,
Brady Quinn, Jonas Knocks of the here on fs are
coming up top next hour we're going to get into
um one name that continues to pop up when the
rumors start flying about a certain position in the world

(34:08):
of sports. That'll be yours here, uh, coming up in
about fifteen minutes from now here on Fox Sports Radio.
So Brady Quinn, by the way, we'll be in Indianapolis
for the Big Ten Championship game. Far enough, but you're
gonna get to a little Saint Elmo's Steakhouse. Is that
what it's called there? And indeed is that? How the
is that St Elmo's? That's the famous spot. We will

(34:30):
be there Friday night. Um, the cocktail sauce, which I
I don't I'm not a big shrimp cocktail guy, but
that is supposedly the thing to get and it's really spicy,
a lot of horse radish and it'll clear you up.
Horse radish will clear you out. It'll clear you up
and clear you out. Buddy. Yeah, I have a bear
there too. What's the what's the local craft beer called

(34:52):
like sun Kid something like that. No, it's like something
like sun Kiss or something like that. That's that's the
bear LEAs on. It's probably in his bag. So just
wait to hear. Uh. Lee probably has the name of that.
Um uh yeah, but I've heard that the shrimp cocktails
the way to go there. Uh And but you're you're

(35:13):
allergic to shellfish, you can't have the shrimp cocks correct
that that's correct, That is correct. I don't usually partake
in that. Just a meat and potatoes guy, you know,
Midwest guy. God, you load up the horse rabs. I
can't believe you're anybody that's allergic to to seafood. I
just feel so bad for you, Like, well, I'm not
allergic that seafood, so eat fish. You just can't have

(35:33):
the crustaceans. You know what I'm saying, you can't have.
Kind of feel bad for you on the crustaceans. We
talked about the crustaceans earlier in the show, you know,
crawling about in the round. You found out about him, Brady, No, No,
not those No, no, you know what, I'm not even
I'm not even entertain this because he's set me up

(35:56):
because it was it was stone crabs. It was stone
crabs that I was and that's how I found out.
I like Will Smith on Hitch, I've told you the
story before, but I'm not I'm not entertaining this okay,
but I got set up stones. I just I just
walked into it. I just walked into the room. Hold on,
Freddy had the stones. Grab hold on a second? Was

(36:19):
that the Was that the first time you'd ever had
shellfish before? Or was that so you'd never had shellfish before.
I never had shrimp cocktail and that was your first time?
And it just blew up. It wasn't shrimp cocks what
I'm saying. But what I'm saying like you, just because
I would imagine you would have had shrimp cocktail at

(36:40):
some point. So maybe it's not just I'm not like,
we're not fancy like you. You know you thousand up,
picky finger up. Why you drink your eyes? I would Brady.
I don't recall having I don't recall having seafood too often,
let alone shrimp cock cocktail growing up. Not what a
blue collar family, you know, not how weird you're not

(37:03):
like n was dodging golf balls, all right, he let
tell you something. Oh God, here, come again, let me
tell you something up. But I bind the gated community
there on the hills of Dublin, Ohio. You know, I
was from the mean streets of the Five Hills as right,

(37:24):
Hills Hills songs because you're so drunk, true as we
get hills. Ah, that is that is true? Um, but
leave her out of this. All right, it is time
for us something we do on the show every single week,
and it's called this. There are some good things that happen,

(37:46):
and there's some bad and then there's some downright ugly things.
It's time four good, bad and ugly. Alright, lead to
lap direct the traffic. Who's handing out what here this
week on this week's edition? Al Right, at the start
of December, let's get a little bit of good from
Brady Quinn. Brady, what's good this week? Well? I want

(38:07):
to look back at last week because I don't know
that I've got enough national attention. I kind of brought
it to our crew, to their attention at Big New Kickoff.
But Thanksgiving, Blake Coreum, he took his n I L money.
I believe a portion of it, not all of it,
as one of our cast members said, a portion of it,
and and but I believe a hundred turkeys for some

(38:28):
families in needs. So Blake corm running back at Michigan,
tremendous job, young man, taking care of those in need
and you know latching that n I l platform nice? Yeah?
What Lee? What else? Well? You got traffic copy? All right?
I gotta well, I gotta ask LaVar. Was it some
king brewing in Indian episode? Yeah? It could be that.

(38:52):
It could be that. It could be that a little
sunlight cream ail. Yeahah, that might be it. It's it's
real popular alright. What was bad this week in sports?
Oh man? There's so many things to choose from. Uh
do we want to go with Brian Kelly and the
way that he rolled out? Do we want to go

(39:13):
with r G three and and his me too movement creation?
I mean, I don't I don't know what's bad, and
I guess those are obvious ones. I'll take this one.
You'r you have four games with the visional opponents leading
after this this Saints game. If they don't win, if

(39:35):
the Cowboys do not win this game on Thursday night,
it might not be bad. It might get ugly, and
you do not have your head coach going into the game.
You're you're vulnerable. I think that that's really really bad
for the Dallas Cowboys and it could be worse. Speaking
of ugly, Jonas, what was ugly this week. Let me

(39:59):
just say that on a weekend in which we saw
classic college football action, we saw you know, Thanksgiving the ratings.
It was a bonanza for the NFL. Raiders, Cowboys did
monster numbers. Uh, you've got Robert over throwing his hands
up like they're responsible. You gave up in the Raiders
a week ago. You can't claim them. You quit on
the Raiders, can't claim them. But on on a weekend

(40:22):
in which we got so many, so many quality games,
we talked about the game Brady was there in ann Arbor,
the snow Ohio State in Michigan, the Iron Bowl was fantastic.
Oklahoma Oklahoma State was awesome. All of that, and then
the NFL follows up on Sunday with this trio Giants, Eagles, Falcons,
Jaguars and Jets Texans. I mean, come on, man, we

(40:45):
couldn't mix and match a little bit and go, hey,
holiday weekend here, Why don't we actually have some of
some good matchups here? Why don't we space these things out?
They rolled out three dud's, three bags of crap like that,
after a successful showed us some potential, threw an interception
off some guy's back yeah that I would you get

(41:06):
a sarcastic I gotta win. Yeah, it was not that
was that was my ugly moment from the NFL this week.
Are some ugly matchups, yeah, not to not a not
a good look. Did I feel like you were missing much? Yeah?
But when when college football rolled out what they did?
I mean to go from Ohio State Michigan into the
Iron Bowl like that, that's that's a tough follow in

(41:28):
the NFL. That was some fun, some fun action there
so again, but speaking of fun action, LaVar check this out.
What you think. I'm not gonna look at that and
I'm not gonna mess with them stones. By the way,
both Brady bo Jackson's fifty nine? Can you believe that? Like?
Bo Jackson just turned fifty nine? I yeah, I conversations

(41:55):
like right there to sixty is Jordan's sixty. Fox Sports
