app by searching f s R. You're listening to Fox
Sports Radio. Yeah, yeah, said backs bird Toe. I had

(00:41):
a great little come back to the to the next
little line for the birth, but it was totally inappropriate. Yeah,
put it back. I'd censored myself like he did yesterday.
Oh man, It's two Pros and a Cup of Joe here,
Fox Sports Radio. LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knocks with
the here on FS. Are you canna hang out with us?
Is always on the I Heart Radio app. You can

(01:02):

wherever you are making us a part of your Tuesday morning.
We appreciate you doing so. We're gonna take you all
the way up until nine am Eastern times, six o'clock Pacific,
right here on Fox Sports Radio. We're gonna get to
a big time story in the NFL. Today is gonna
be I think a huge day, huge day. Uh, And
we will discuss that here momentarily now. If you're just

(01:24):
tuning in a few minutes ago, Live Bet Jesus popped
on UM. For those you're not familiar with Live at Jesus.
He was making appearances randomly on Sunday nights for years
and years on on Fox Sports Radio when Brady Quinn
and I were on the air, and it was strange
because the lights would flicker, all the power would go
out in the building except for the radio show, and
then a piece of paper would fall down onto the

(01:46):
desk and it would have a pick on a live
game and actionable game that was taken place at that time.
We've never been able to pin down and figure out
who this individual is. It's some sort of a mythical being. Um.
There's cloud formations of of the studio. When he appears,
it's it's it's a phenomenon. It's it's paranormal activity. I
don't know what you want to call it. Well, he appeared,

(02:08):
I'm assuming it's he appeared last hour about ten minutes ago,
and the pick was that Brady Quinn would miss the
remainder of the show, which doesn't make any sense because
Brady Quinn is doing the show with a slavari ay Tin.
So I I don't know why he would make that
prediction so nervous because well, yeah, but I think he's

(02:31):
just waiting his turn. He's actually he's polite. So Brady,
what are you? What do you make of this? This
garbage from a lie bet Jesus saying you're not gonna
be here on the show? Oh my god? What the
hell is going on here? Oh no? All right, seriously,
all right, so he's really just not there. It's not there? Man?

(02:53):
Oh no, oh no, says this. What do we is
it technical dip of gold? Easily? What's going on here?
Is it? Like? I can't find him, texted him, I'm
looking for him. I know. If that is all right?
So a good We assume this is just a technical issue.
But for those of you, I mean, if if this

(03:15):
is a whole, if this is where this is going
to stand the remainder of the show. For those of
you who doubt the legitimacy of Live at Jesus. I
mean that counts as a win. If this goes down,
it counts as a win. So we will we will
keep you posting and all that stuff throughout the course
of the show. All right, let's let's get into the
of the of the NFL offseason. LaVar Arrington. Um, I

(03:35):
believe today's today Aaron Rodgers makes his announcement. It's happening
the Pat McAfee show. A J Hawk will be there.
Pat's gonna be there. I think today's the day we
get an answer as to whether or not Aaron Rodgers
is returning to the Green Bay Packers. I think it's
happening today. How you feeling about it? You feel good
about that? You think? I think this is the big

(03:57):
one that comes from lab bet Jesus. No, listen, he's
not good at um, you know, having a lot going
on at the same time, he's not good at you know,
to disappear from the show man. It happens. I mean,
it definitely happens. But today does feel like the day.
It's a Tuesday, it's a quiet day in sports. You know,

(04:22):
it's possible. I just don't think he will ever do
what is estimated or assumed like people are bracing for
whenever he's going to come out and say what he's
gonna say or do what he's going to do. Why
do it now? You still got a little bit of time.

(04:42):
There's still a little bit of time, you know. And
and and so for me, if if I'm if, I'm
Aaron Rodgers unless there is some type of agenda that
supersedes him totally messing around with media and help Pat
McAfee continue to get astronomical numbers of downloads and subscriptions.

(05:05):
By the way, make sure you pay attention to Pat
McAfee shows one of dope it shows. You'll you'll say,
he's a dope, dope person that I've ever been on
that show before a few times. What we're Pittsburgher's you know,
we're from the Burg. We we represent one another, we
we support one another. Um A J. Hawk is a
big ten linebacker, super smart dude, had a dope career.

(05:26):
Um you know, went to he played play linebacker out
of school. That is arguably as as traditioned as as linebacker.
You the original itself. Um So I'm a fan of
the show. I'm a big fan of their show and
how they do things, so I think they will give
you an entertaining um amount of time with this interview

(05:47):
with Aaron Rodgers. But if you're asking me, does Aaron
Rodgers make his decision and and throws his cards on
the table and say here they are, I'm all in.
My chips are all in the center at the table.
I just don't see that happening today. Um. A couple
of things to address. Number One, the Pat McAfee show.

(06:11):
So they were at Radio Row, um, whatever you want
to if you want to call that Radio Row this
year in Los Angeles. When you walked by, they flagged
you down and gave you a mic and you hopped
on with the show. That's correct. I walked by and
they asked me to go get him a drink, so
um boy, yeah basically and uh, like you know, a

(06:32):
j gave me a little bit of a head nod,
but that was it. Uh and uh yeah, So so
that I'll tell you I'm older than a J Hawk. Yeah. Um,
and play linebacker in the same conference. So there's a
respect factor admiration of me being an old head. And
Pat McAfee is from Plum. I'm from East Hills. They're

(06:55):
right next door to one another. I moved to the
North Hills and and we were a little bit further apart.
But we both played quad A football and we both
had pretty decent careers, and we worked together on NFL
A M when I was one of the co host
on NFL a M. So we have a we have
a history. So you think that supersedes me being a

(07:17):
Penguins fan. He just didn't know you, that's all. He
didn't recognize the voice, you know, he didn't he didn't
recognize the face that went with the voice that he
listens to so much, because you know he listens to
the show. Yeah, sure he does. Now here's the here's
the other, here's the other aspect of all this. Um.
By the way, Pat McAfee is also going to be
interviewing Vince McMahon this week. There is there is some

(07:39):
speculation that Pat McAfee will be wrestling Vince McMahon at Wrestleman.
That would be just saying, you know, he's called matches before. Yeah,
he's really good. He does. Pat McAfee does does SmackDown

(08:01):
on Fox every single Friday. He's phenomenal. He's also wrestled
a couple of matches with the w W E and
the n x T brand, which is a portion of
the company. So he's he's done really well for himself.
I think that Aaron Rodgers absolutely does make his announcement today,
absolutely absolutely, Well, you're betting on that Temple bet Tim

(08:24):
Pole humps that go live. We go live at the
hour designated during the course of this show, and we'll
have Lee as the live correspondent, and we'll have whoever's
out there that's that's resting. Um, they can be a
part of the show as well. And you do Tim
Pole humps. I can't. I can't do that. I mean,
you're too good. Well no, I just, uh, you know,

(08:46):
I don't. I don't trust myself in that situation. I mean,
you know, listen, it might get too into it. Yeah,
I'm just saying, like you know, I'm I'm a method actor,
so I really got to uh you know, I really
gotta live with the yeah, and out of that what

(09:06):
I'm saying. So I wanted to say it, I did not.
But here's this is also the more I think about it,
the more I feel like I don't see him pulling
a decision Part two. When Lebron James did the decision.
What bothered people wasn't the fact that he did the decision.
It was the fact that he did a decision to

(09:27):
announce to the city of Cleveland that yeah, but but
if you but he's He's even acknowledged after the fact
where he said, yeah, he should have done it differently
because he basically teased the city of Cleveland only to
let him know, Hey, I'm leaving there and I'm taking
my talents to South Beach with my to Miami. So
it's like you you called a big party, everybody was

(09:50):
assuming it was going to be an engagement party, only
to announce that you're breaking up. It's like, that's not
not a smooth move by Lebron James. And that's why
Cleveland couldn't standard ever watch that TV show Love is Blind.
What kind of like the same thing, Like you meet
people in a pod and you start dating them through
a pod, and then you decide if you want to

(10:11):
marry them, and then you get four weeks to get
to know them. You're like, you see them, you meet
them after you get to know them, and they you
asked do you want to get married? You get engaged
and then you get four weeks to get to know
one another. And so it's what made me think about
what you just said. Was I walked up they were
walking up to the to the you know, the place

(10:33):
to get married or whatever. They were standing on the podium,
and like out of five couples, like three of them
was like, nope, I don't want to marry you. Like
like it's like, do you take this man to be
your like are you like you had to decide is
love blind? And do you want to get married? And
most of the the cats was like no. You know, it's
funny you bring that up. Because one of the contestants

(10:56):
on that show, who was actually in the pod was
interviewed afterwards, I won't make some glory hope, and again
that was the reason. I don't know why the glory
hole was more important. Mexico. Yeah, and going to visit
Mexico and remember ever set day Fernandez, I don't know

(11:18):
very good the frauds are And that's what he said
after she said she didn't want to marry. Give me
a jack and coke minus the coke very good, So
we have a good time. Can I go back to
my original point, the original point is Aaron Rodgers is

(11:39):
not going to do a Lebron James. The announcement You're
not going to do Okay, But I don't think if
I think he's alluded to the fact that he would
make the announcement on Pat McAfee's show, I think that's
where he's gotten all his messaging away right now, because
I feel like he sees this as and he wasn't

(12:02):
gonna stretch it out. It wasn't gonna be something that
was gonna stretch out past the combine, all these other things.
The packers have already started to move stuff around restructure
just because he said he's not going to stretch it
out and I'm not going to stretch it out past
the combine. You think that today's I think today is
the day. It's a brand new month. Would you be
surprised if he didn't do it today? Yes, oh wow? Yeah.

(12:24):
And I think he's going to announce it. He's going
back to the Green Bay Packers. He's not gonna do it.
Lebron did only to make an announcement that that he's
not showing back up and he's going to go go elsewhere.
So that's uh, that's where I believe that, uh, that
Aaron Rodgers is going to take his uh you know,
his messaging there when it comes to uh, you know,
the packers and and going back to Green Bay. So

(12:44):
I've tried to provide a you know a little bit
of positivity to he's going back to Green Bay. I've
said it from day one. So and I'm not going
to be a sort winner when this happened. I mean,
I mean listen that, you know, I hear you. I'm
just not going to be a sore when I'm not
gonna do everything that everybody expects me to do. Yeah, right,

(13:09):
that's good. Get to go off speed sometimes. All right?
It is that two pros and the Cup of Joe.
Fox Sports Radio brought to you by Discover. Real credit
card questions require real people, someone who understand your issues
and works to resolve them with you. That's why I
Discover offers helpful US based representatives available seven Discover exceptionally
common sense. All right, Uh, there is a there's a

(13:31):
situation playing out in the world of sports all of
a sudden coming with me. We've got some hope, we've
got some optimism, but it is is it all fake?
Is there any realness to this story, because there's a
lot of rumblings that some things are going to change
for one entire league. We'll get into that next year
on Yeah. Be sure to catch live editions of Two

(13:53):
Pros and a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LaVar,
Errington and Jonas Knocks week days at six am e
staring three am Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the
I Heart Radio. Right now, John Palmerossi joins us here
on Fox Sports Radio, Fox Sports Radios, MLB Insider also
with the MLB Network. He knows hockey, he knows soccer.

(14:17):
He speaks fluid, uh fluent and uh Italian here on
the show. Uh. He was a big fan of the
euro Cup run for the Italian team last summer. JP,
what's happening? It's been too long? How we do Helos,
Jonas at LaVar? It is always my pleasure to speak
with you in the morning. You guys always do an
outstanding show, so great do with you today and and

(14:38):
let us hope, let us hope that this is the
day that brings us spaceball. Okay, what where do we
stand on this potentially getting done? Because we were hearing
about a Monday deadline or else here we're gonna miss games.
Now there's uh they're supposed to meet at what eleven
a m. Eastern time, So in a few hours from now,
where do we stand on a potential season starting on

(15:01):
time with Major League Baseball? Well, certainly much more hopeful
than we were twenty four hours ago. And there were
some reports earlier yesterday that the tone of those meetings
was not good and there was a good amount of
pessimism in the game until about maybe three or four PM,
and then things began to change. There was some momentum. Uh,
they were talking deep into the night. And I think

(15:24):
the key thing now report from John Ammon, who's on
the ground there in in Jupiter, Florida, where the meetings
are taking place. John's report was that this morning, probably
as we speak and maybe a little bit later once
people wake up all across the country, is that the
union was going to pull some members of their leadership

(15:45):
to see what their responses to the latest MLB proposal.
So the MLB has moved in the players direction significantly
in the last twenty four hours in terms of adding
money to the pre arbitration on this pool, adding money
to the competitive balance tax threshold. There have been some

(16:05):
pretty significant movements there, and now the question is wasn't
enough or will the union come back and try to
get a little bit more out of the process before
things certainly wrap up today And this is this has
to be the day. There has to be some answers
as to where things stand as of this moment. And uh,
here we are in the month of March and it

(16:27):
certainly again the top line point is a deal is
not yet done, uh not at all. That there are
still plenty of differences to be bridge in the next
few hours, we assume, but at least they're talking about
ways to bridge them as opposed to finger pointing and negativity.
This is a very fluid process, but it's one that

(16:50):
has moved substantially in the right direction over the last
point four hours. ZPN and negotiations. Situations that come to
the last moments, as as this one is coming to
pressure mounts and people have to to play the game
and chicken masterfully to try to get what they want.

(17:11):
They now they may have gotten what they've already wanted
by now um in terms of the players, and and
they might be fighting for more before they concede to
what what's taking place? But who who right now has
more pressure on? Seemingly it would be the owners, But
if you really think about it, baseball is not America's

(17:34):
pastime like it once was. Um, and and now this
is kind of maybe could turn into a turbulent situation
for for players and an organizations. So who has more
pressure on them to make sure that they get a
deal done? That's an excellent question. I I do think
there's certainly is pressure on each side. It's a different

(17:56):
kind of pressure. I think with MLB, you're exactly right. Uh,
we are at a moment here where you look around
that the sports landscape in our country. And and while
plenty of people have made parallels and mentioned and said
well and in there was the work stoppage that had
canceled the previous year's World Series, and eventually fans came

(18:17):
back and and many fans did. But America and is
different than America now you look at just the baseball
doesn't quite add the same cultural currency candidly now than
it did then in terms of how many people are
talking about it every day. Um, there are other things
that that young Americans in particular are are engaging with

(18:39):
more often now, whether it's e sports, video games, their phones,
which didn't really exist in the same numbers back in
the mid nineties. So that there's just a lot of
relevancy that is at risk here. And I think if
MLB does not begin this season on time, the long
term damage to the product would be immense. And that

(19:01):
that is where I do think there has been some
awareness in the last twenty four hours where the approach
has changed a little because this cannot simply be LaVar
and Jonas question of how do I win the negotiation
for dollars and cents in the month of April. That's
that's not a sufficient view to take here. It is

(19:25):
how do we maintain baseball's place and hopefully grow it
in different ways in the American sports consciousness. And that
is a harder thing to define. And but by the way,
there will eventually be an economic cost if if baseball
loses that market share. If you will and we all
reflect on you know how often in the course of

(19:47):
your program and others on this network during the course
of the year, candidly football and basketball are are discussed
more often, and so baseball has to find a way
to get itself act in that discussion and and and
and relevant in a broad sense, and if they go
away for a period of time, guys, I think the

(20:09):
only word to use is the one the commissioner said,
which is disastrous. It would be a disaster for the
long term health of what has been in the past
America's national pastime. He is John Palm Rossi joining us
here on Fox Sports Radio, Fox Sports Radio's MLB Insider,
also with the MLB Network and get him on Twitter
at John Rossi. Jonas Knoxle Bar Arrington with you here

(20:31):
on FS are so JP When it comes to this situation, UM,
fans look at this and we hear the old adage, well,
it's billionaires fighting with millionaires. So it's hard to be
sympathetic or hard to you know, pick one side or
the other as far as why this is happening. But
for people out there that maybe don't know the economic
details of this whole thing like you do, and don't

(20:53):
know the back and forth maybe like you do, when
it comes to this negotiation and why we're at this point,
who deserves of more blame for why this situation is
where it's at. Is it the owners or is it
the players union? I think there is. There's blame that
goes both ways, Jonas, but I'll say it's a little
bit different kind of blame for either one. Now I'll

(21:14):
start by saying this. You mentioned the the billionaires millionaires dynamic.
I think a very good point was made yesterday by
Tom Berducci on MLB Network that approximately sixty one percent.
While we talk a lot about the what the average
salary is and how that number is so huge, Tom said,

(21:34):
sixty of Major League Baseball players made less than a
million dollars last year. Now, so it's there are certainly
plenty of millionaires, Jonas, to your point, but they're not
all millionaires. And so one of the most important numbers
of all is that minimum salary number, because right now

(21:54):
it's around the five seventy around dollars and and for
alps that number could grow into the high sixes or
maybe even the low sevens depending on how things go.
And that's a huge deal. That number for a lot
of people in this game, especially if you have a
brief career, matters a ton more than if the Dodgers

(22:15):
can spend to to ten or two fifteen or two
million dollars on the top end. There are a lot
of players, and this is the player that I just
can't I can't forget about now, and I keep reflecting
and circling back on the player who was just about
to breakthrough and make the major leagues. At the end
of the nineteen season, Well, we all know what happens
in minor league season is canceled only sixty games. At

(22:38):
the major league level, revenues fundamentally changed. Then last year
was sort of a stop and start kind of a year. Uh,
certainly at the minor league level, it happened, but not
it wasn't normal. And we all know that this year
we're hoping to be normal. And so now we have
this delay. So that player who was hoping to get
significant money in the major leagues and now twenty two

(23:01):
it's all in jeopardy. And so that that player I
keep thinking about, where where that player just hoping to
have a career, And if they can make seven k,
let's say times three years, even if they never get
to even if they never get to salary arbitration, at
least that that gets them or they're they're gross number

(23:22):
would be more than two million dollars for their career,
which is which is significant, But again we have to
remember that's that's maybe not enough money to retire on
for the rest of your life, so that there has
to be some some perspective on on what the real
economics are for the players making the minimum. And I
really hope that that these proposals reflect that an increase
in the minimum salary, while not the sextiest number in

(23:44):
the world, would make a huge difference in the lives
of a lot of people who play baseball for a living.
All right, j P, I'm I'm gonna switch over to
dj UM and and Jeter decides to step down. He
removes himself from it. He threw some shade at the
Marlins as he rolled out. Now, there have been conversations

(24:07):
as to the power struggle that took play, the shares
and the money and all these different things. Can you
clear it up for us? And and obviously this lockout
has had an impact on what his decision was. Why now,
why why does Derek Jeter step away and roll out now?

(24:28):
Because you would think that a star of his caliber,
maybe you wait until the lockout is over to walk away,
just to make sure of the things that we're discussing
in terms of the health of the game. Why do
it now where it's like the darkest moments, so to speak,
A great question, and and it's a really unique story. Yesterday,

(24:50):
I certainly it was striking because, as you know, UH,
the the negotiations now are happening at Roger Dean Stadium,
which is where the Marlins train, so literally the epicenter
of these negotiations, where the Union and MLB officials are
going back and forth, walking all over the stadium, meeting
with each other in different places. That is at one

(25:11):
of the stadiums, that is at the Spring Stadium for
the Miami Marlins, and and their president CEO, one of
the most beloved people in the game for the last century,
UH resigns yesterday in the middle of all this on
deadline day. And a couple of things. Number one, the timing, Yeah,
it was. It was surreal, LaVar and Jonas, it was surreal.

(25:32):
But I also think that Derek a couple of things
had become according to many accounts here, frustrated with perhaps
his own relationship with Bruce Sherman, who was the owner
of the club or the majority owner we could say, um.
And then also just the lack of of spending that
he saw, whether it was from the Marlins or other clubs,

(25:54):
and a lack of reinvestment in trying to win. And
this strikes at the core of a lot of the
issues right now that are facing the game. Uh that
I should have mentioned this earlier. To revenue sharing and
and if you are a smaller club like the Marlins
are in terms of revenues, you get money from the
larger clubs and revenue sharing and there there's still has

(26:16):
been a little bit of an issue both on the
part of the larger market owners and even the players
to make sure that the people who are giving the
revenue sharing money are being good stewards of it. And
I really think that Derek was not fully satisfied with
the efforts the Marlins were making to win, and so

(26:36):
he he walks away because obviously, as we all know
Derek and his competitiveness, what winning means for him. Uh,
that's one of the most sacred things that he does
and in his in his world, in his life is
is compete and compete to win. And it clearly is
frustration to boil it over. And I do wonder if
in the great retelling of this week, if years from
now we have labor peace and Uh, to your questions earlier,

(26:58):
if we have a better tomorrow for the sport, do
we look back and say, maybe Derek's resignation was a
wake up called the both sides they had to make
a deal here, and that perhaps it's sort of sparked
the process. Maybe Derek resigned on that particular day, at
that particular time because he knew the ripple effect it
would cause. Uh, it's very possible and perhaps one day

(27:20):
and the retailing of this, we'll find out exactly what
Derek's motivations were. But it was a fascinating day, hard
day for baseball to lose Derek Jeter in this capacity.
But I do hope that he's back. Man. That is
a great response. Man, I mean so much, so much there.
It's Uh, it's a crazy time in baseball, man, and JP,
we appreciate every you know, you're you know, up at

(27:42):
all hours trying to monitor along and stay up with
all this stuff that's happening. It's been a little chaotic,
but we appreciate you popping on with us. Always a
good chat. Get him on Twitter at John Morrosie JP
here the man. Thanks Funny Jonath LaVar My pleasure, my friends,
and I appreciate the conversation. Can't wait for the next time. Jonas.
Your kind words on the Italian team warned my heart

(28:04):
on this stressful morning. So thank you for I'm talking about.
That's what I'm talking about. Yeah, I was just gonna
say that. There it is John Palmer Rosy Uh. He's
MLB insider for Fox Sports Radio, the MLB network. He
covers the NHL. I mean you name it, no stone
on turn when it comes to John Palmer ROSSI alright,

(28:24):
coming up next here it is Two Pros and a
Cup of Joe here Fox Sports Radio. Uh, LaVar Arrington

It's yours right here on fs ARE. Be sure to
catch live editions of Two Pros and a Cup of

(28:44):
Joe with Brady Quinn, LaVar Arrington and Jonas Knocks week
days at six am Easter three am Pacific. Hey, I'm
Doug Gottlieb. The podcast is called All Balls. We usually
talk all basketball all the time, but it's more about
the stories about what made these people love their sport
and all the interesting interactions along the way. We talked

(29:07):
to coaches, we talked to players, We tell you stories.
You downloaded. He listened to it. I think you like it.
Listen to All Ball with Doug Gottlieb on the I
Heart Radio app Apple Podcast orherever you get your podcast,
two Pros and a Cup of Joe Fox Sports Radio,
LaVar Arrington Jonas knocks with you here on fs ARE.

(29:28):
Brady Quinn was here an hour one, but I bet
Jesus made him disappear. On the move man, I mean
shouts out to him and his family. What do you
mean is on the move? Yeah? On the move because
I bet Jesus kicked his ass out of the show.
That's why I don't know if I'm allowed to say
where he's going because outed him last week. So I'm
not saying anything about but just you know, when you

(29:53):
repeated that all the air, I literally had to turn
away from the mic because I knew exactly where we
were when he told this is a story and it
was totally off air. I'm glad that. I just want
to do, you know, but I'm not trying to make
you sweat or any not. What a naughty person you are? You?

(30:18):
And that that bed soup a musical fruit. The more
you eat, the more you do. But our beans considered
a fruit? You know? I think they are. Okay, here's
the other one that throws me off. Bell peppers are
considered a frugetable, right, considered a fruit? I think they

(30:40):
are a fruit, with which kind of irritates me because
I eat a bell pepper every single day and and
I don't like fruit, and so that bothers me that
that that it actually is considered a fruit. Can we
get confirmation on that? Uh, let's go live to you
are I am actually standing in a produce sile near
the studio somewhere nearby here in Sherman Oaks, California. Insider

(31:03):
lead to laugh for the that that is correct. Bell
peppers are fruits because they have seeds. Okay, so that
that's what consider What about a cucumber? Cucumbers have seeds?
Is that a fruit? Uh? Cucumbers? Cucumbers? I think our fruit? Okay?
That's beans are vegetable, all right, They're considered to be
a veggie. How about that? Interesting? And that EXAs it

(31:27):
come for the sports stay for the produce. That's the
way we work on this show. By the way, we
are brought to one of the beans that I had before,
by Discover. If you're a valued customer, you deserve a
simple gesture of appreciation from your credit card company. And
that's why Discovered matches all the cash back you've earned
at the end of your first year. Discover exceptionally common sense,

(31:51):
and next to our little over ten minutes from now.
Now we wait to see how one team in the
NFL responds to their star player. We will get to
that here on fs are right now, it's time for this.
Sometimes you can't get to everything in the world of
sports or entertainment. Good thing. The guys are here to
bring you in case you missed it, and for that

(32:13):
we turn it over to our executive producerly just the
lab Lap. That's right, you guys. In case you missed it,
John Brant put on a freaking show last night. Two
nights after setting a franchise record, he says he breaks
his own records, putting up fifty two points, including this

(32:33):
buzzer beater from the Grizzly Radio Network Tackle Listen Adams
baseball pass one of two Morant catches in mid is
he alread air he caught it in mid air and
quoting it up and in. You have got to be
kidding me. John Morant is at an absolutely another level.
A baseball pass conn in mid air predirected to the

(32:56):
basket from twenty feet out. Oh my goodness, what are
we witnessing? Greatness is not even an applicable description. Insanity otherworldly.
Take them off, bag them up, and put a number
twelve on for John Rant. Okay, can I make a
hot take here on this play? This inbounds passed by

(33:19):
Steven Adams to John Morant, greater inbounds pass than Hill
too Late during the n c A tournament years ago,
not not from the magnitude of it, but the actual
degree of difficulty. Steven Adams hitting John Morant in the
corner and him turning around and hitting it at the buzzer, unbelievable.
One of the great plays you'll ever see, second to
of the LaVar leap. John Morant might be the best

(33:44):
in game dunker we've seen. Now Vince Carter has still
has it. Dominique Wilkins is definitely in the conversation. But
John Morant is making a really really really least strong
case for being the most electrifying in game dunker. Plus

(34:06):
he's because he's smaller. It looks so much more emphatic,
like just and there's a there's a violence to it
as well. Likedst explosive. Dominique Wilkins is my favorite dunker
of a time because it was explosive. That was the
two foot dunk. I love Dominique Wilkins, man, he was explosive.
But but Vince Carter, Vince sanity is just it's still

(34:29):
like you still got to take a moment and stop
and be like man for what Jab Moran is doing
right now. If you think about what Vince Carter was doing,
like he was making like dunk where he almost jumps
over Kevin Love and he misses the dunk. That's a
dunk that Vince Carter makes, you know what I mean, like,
and he's taller, taller. There was a conversation about Zion

(34:53):
or John morand when they came out in the draft,
and that debate is getting a little bit further apart. Listen,
I love Ian Williamson, but it's starting to look more
and more like Greg Oden, Kevin Durant, like that Durant too,
Yeah when they want yeah, yeah, yeah. It just it
feels like we're yeah yeah, it's it's just like you

(35:16):
start doing comps to It's crazy. What else we got lee,
you guys. The NFL has announced the Hall of Fame
game this year at Canon. It will be between the
Jaguars and the Raiders, and it will be the debut
for both Doug Peterson for the Jags and Josh McDaniels
for the Raiders. Yeah. So that's the next NFL game. Correct,
That's correct, That's gonna be August four. God, I can't
wait to gamble my as. No one but Berto will

(35:39):
be watching that. Burno who's playing in that game? Who's
playing in that game? Yeah? I will be watching it.
You know. You know what could have made it more
interesting though? At two different teams. Well, so here's how

(36:01):
you could have made it more interesting. Just do a
one off and have Gruden and urban Meyer come back
and coach these teams from I am now, I would
watch that. I would watch that. Bring back Gruden and
urban Meyer for one game each, just for the Hall
of fame, film them in a nearby bar and see
who see who wins that war? Right? That is? Listen,

(36:23):
I'm gonna gamble my ass off for that game. It's
the next NFL game we got. It's not until August.
Come on, we've got five months of non football. You're
not gonna be excited for that stage and different digs
by then too, huh. Probably not Listen with the way
we behave in this studio, you think they're about this
anywhere else? I don't know. After the performance you just

(36:46):
put on during the break, I'm gonna will have to
be much more aware from what I hate. We literally
like the only ones in this building, Like literally we
can't walking in here, and our alarm is going off
that the maturity guard is sleep. Yeah, how mean anything

(37:09):
goes at this spot. I ain't telling y'all to come
mess with us or anything like that, but I'm just said,
you can do whatever you want to do here. Oh man. Yes,
we redefine the office. Yes it is. It's very strange,
very strange. What is happening? All right? It is a
two pros and a cup of Joe Fox Sports Radio.
