Speaker 1 (00:00):
Two pros and a cup of Joe. Fox Sports Radio,
LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn Jonas knocks. Coming up on this
Monday edition, We're gonna look back at the trade. That's right,
Deshaun Watson is now member of the Cleveland Browns. You've
got the Browns organization that's getting some heat. You've also
got the Houston Texans who rid themselves of a quarterback
who didn't want to be there anymore. And you've got

(00:20):
an X in Baker Mayfield or soon to be X
who's looking elsewhere where? Does that make sense? We're also
going to take a look at the n c A tournament.
It was a wild opening weekend. Where do things stack
up on our Fox Sports Radio rankings? And we've got
another edition of the F S R I R All
of it is yours coming up next here, Two pros
and a cup of Joe on a Monday Fox Sports Radio. Yeah,

(00:42):
Bass trigger, Bass trigger, Jesus, it is two pros and
a cup of Joe. Fox Sports Radio coming in hot uh,
it is LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn Jonas knocks here on FS.
Are you gonna hang out with us? Is always on
the I heart Rate You app. You can find us
on hundreds of Fox Sports radio affiliates and wherever you

(01:04):
are making us a part of your Monday morning, we
appreciate you doing so. We're taking you all the way
up until nine am Eastern times, six o'clock Pacific, and
we have got craziness in the n c A Tournament.
We're gonna get to. But there was some craziness that
went down on Friday because apparently UH reports were indicating
that the Cleveland Browns were being told that they were

(01:27):
no longer in the Deshaun Watson sweepstakes. And then uh
voila two thirty million dollars guaranteed a five year deal
and the trade is done, and now Deshaun Watson is
a a brand new quarterback for the Cleveland Browns. How
bad it? Huh? How about it that the Deshaun Watson ride.
Things changed quickly from UH. From our conversation Friday, Lafar

(01:49):
Jonas and I were just talking about the disappointment Browns
fans butt's feel. It's not only do they not get
DeShawn Watson, they don't get Baker Mayfield because they made
him upset. But now we look at a scenario where
where they come back around and they do get Watson
Mayfield is you know, going to be eventually moved on
from I guess my question is just what what changed

(02:10):
in your mind? What changed in your mind as to
how the Browns got back into the picture after initially
being told they were out they were one of the
two teams along with Carolina. What did the Browns do differently?
Or maybe it's not what the Browns did, Maybe it's
what Baker Mayfield did. Maybe, I mean, I I just

(02:31):
think it came down to the money. I mean, he
you know, he said he didn't want to play for
for the Texans for reasons. I guess he wasn't included
in the the search for a new head coach when
that took place, and and I rubbed him the wrong
way if I recall correctly, And if that's the case,

(02:53):
then I would say, you're not going to You're not
going to any of these teams with the idea that
you're going to the super Bowl immediately. But for some
strange reason, the moment he signed with Cleveland, people started
thinking that Cleveland now is, you know, should be in
the hunt to go to the super Bowl. I'm not.

(03:14):
I'm not certain that you know that's what it is.
I mean, they definitely have made some good moves and
free agency to improve their team, to upgrade their team,
and not the position most necessary to to win. But
I just think it came down the money. I mean,
I think that they put uh an amount of money
on the table for for Watson, that it was an

(03:36):
offer you just couldn't say no to. And and and
that probably may have been you know, Baker Mayfield could
have played a large part in that because you were
going to basically lose him because he didn't want to
play for them anymore. So that could have been a
situation where he sits out whatever it may be. But yeah,
I mean I think that all things given were the

(03:58):
reason why the Cleveland Ounds jumped into their bag of
tricks and pulled out a whole lot of uh um
scratch for for you know, Watson. I had to be
real careful terminology there, because we know what Watson situation is.
You got to use different terminology. Yeah, but you landed it,

(04:25):
you know, you did land the play man. Let's see
how quick I could get it. So Mary Kay Cabot,
who has been pretty spot on with this whole thing.
I covered the story on the Baker Mayfield side from
Cleveland dot Com, But despite what Baker Mayfield has said,
she reported that Baker Mayfield was ready to sit out
the season, that he was not going to play for

(04:47):
them after this stuff, it was leaked out that they
were meeting with Deshaun Watson and that that may have
led to the Browns, you know, contacting Deshaun Watson again
and probably wheatening the pod like like that, that would
be the assumption. I'm just surprised because we've I mean,
Kirk Cousins is the only other quarterback that's gotten a
fully guaranteed contract, right, I mean is that I think

(05:10):
he's the only other guy, right? So, so are you
surprised that the guy who set the market from a
guaranteed contract standpoint is the same guy who's been out
for over a year and is dealing with twenty two
different lawsuits, first criminally and now from the civil side.
Uh and all the other chaos that comes along with it.

(05:31):
I just didn't think DeShawn Watson was going to be
the guy in his situation that was going to set
the market. That's surprised to me. Well, I think all
over the league. You're seeing quarterbacks look to capitalize on
resetting the market at that position. And we can get
into Matt Stafford, even Aaron Rodgers obviously, who came to
this agreement before the Watson trade and contract. But what

(05:54):
you're seeing now is basically everyone's saying, you know, I
want to leap frog what Mahomes did. And Mahomes was
somewhere in the ballpark of forty five million per year UM.
A lot of them are jumping north of that. Rogers
now fifty million per year average annual salary. So that
was one of the goals. But the crazy thing is
the commitment that the Browns made to him two million

(06:19):
fully guaranteed, which is un heard of. It's the most
amount of guaranteed money in a contract ever in the
National Football League, and it's the most by wide margin.
The last fully guaranteed deal that was even close to that,
all right, or I shouldn't say fully guaranteed, but the
last portion of a contract guaranteed that that extent was

(06:42):
the hundred fifty million dollars that we saw with Roger's contract,
which is a short term deal, but still it's eighty
million dollars more than that like, take it to the bank.
If I want to walk into any big bank around
this country, I go, I'm gonna make two hundred thirty
million dollars. Can I get a loan for fifty million? Yep,

(07:04):
Snap of the fingers, You've got it. It is guaranteed. Now,
they might not for this reason. All those all that
money goes away if he slips up on some k
y or something. If all of it goes away the
second he has an issue off of this, I can't.

(07:29):
But if he slips up and those you know, he
falls on the player of conduct policy, it would avoid
out those guarantees. So this is where as much as
it looks like on on the surface as a huge
guarantee and a big play by Cleveland, they're kind of
sitting back like, well, the onus is really onto Shawn
if he wants to actually make the money that's within

(07:52):
this contract and for us to honor our end of
the deal, he's got to honor his end of the deal.
And he's got to kick whatever habit he's developed. That
would equate that twenty two civil lawsuits, twenty two separate
people who are suing him for what the hell is
happening off the field, and so then there's that end
of it. But I do think Baker Mayfield played a role,

(08:15):
whereas maybe if Baker and that's that's not his personality.
And by the way, I don't know many quarterbacks that
would like that. They come to you and say, hey,
we're gonna look and look for someone better than you,
but don't just stay at home. Keep everything good for
us here at home. We're gonna come back later on.
But I don't know many p any quarterbacks would be like,
I'm okay with this. I'm not gonna want to trade,

(08:35):
I don't want to go elsewhere, and first over, I'll
pick of the draft. But let me be let me
be your doormat while you trying to figure out whether
you can sign somebody else. Ye, are you gonna be
home in time for dinner? Are you gonna be home
with time for dinner? Let me ask you guys a question,
because I don't I really don't know. So I'm I'm
seeing if you guys do in terms of with the

(08:58):
civil lawsuits, because that's become a point of of conversation
in terms of you know, how to move forward. I
saw what Richie, Richie Hornberger had to say about it
um in terms of, you know, the gambling being a
one year suspension, DeShawn Watson getting you know, awarded a

(09:21):
largest contract in the history of the game. Just just
hit me with this one. Is there anything that the
civil suits can do that would force the NFL's hand
on on suspending him or disciplining him or is he
cleared at this point in terms of any culpability that

(09:41):
would be kind of lobbed his way or justified in
terms of you know, I guess punishment. Yeah, you know
what I mean, there can still be a trial. I mean,
this should still end up being public knowledge when it's
all said and done. The difference between obviously, you know,
criminal and and civil is, you know, once the criminal

(10:01):
charges are dropped and drop, that doesn't mean that they
can't reservice or come back around or be trialed again
or brought up again. But it seems highly unlikely in
a civil case, you know, this could still go to
trial now that the burden approved as much lower, which
is why usually the defendant or Deshaun Watson in this case,

(10:22):
is going to look to settle and then now, I mean, look,
with this contract and everything else, the trades occurred, and
civil lawsuits can take forever. I mean literally, they can
drag on on forever years and he might just end
up settling and then having them sign an NDA just
to move past it. At this point, if you're DeShawn Watson,

(10:43):
as much as he wants to clear his name and say, oh,
I want to be able to speak on it and
speak my side of the story. Dude, you got to
a new team, you got your contract, you got everything else.
Why would you want to potentially poke the bear and
have something else come from all this? I would just
I would just be surprised if there's not a settlement soon,
considering the new contracts he just got, uh some of

(11:06):
those money he's definitely gonna need, given what that settlement
may look like. I mean some of the details on
the sworn Affidavid's from the from the accusers, I mean,
it is it's you can't even you can't even retell
them on the air. It's it's bad and so used
to some of that. I just I've thought that the

(11:27):
entire time, how much more of this is going to
come out? Because those those are available, you can find
those online and look through them yourself. It's it's perfect word.
It's really uncomfortable. And then I also just look at
the situation and I go when people are talking about
the Cleveland Browns, because the Browns are getting some heat,
You've got people out there saying, well, I won't root
for the Browns. Ever again, I can't believe they made

(11:50):
this decision. The Browns released a statement saying they did
extensive research and in too looking at all this. Yet
Tony Buzzby, the lawyer for the defense or the accusers,
said the Browns never contacted me, and they probably should,
knowing what I know. So the Browns are are getting
some pushback from people from making the move with the
Shaun Watson's track record. Look, I get it, all that

(12:12):
stuff is uncomfortable. Welcome to the NFL and professional sports.
There's a lot of guys with a lot of stuff
in their background, and yet teams either still sign on
for more years or still make moves. It's it's just
part of the deal. So we can be upset about it,
and people can try and do comparisons. And I love
rich Orn Burger, and we can do comparisons to a

(12:33):
guy getting suspended for a year for gambling. You just
you're gonna be here all day. It's it's the way
it works. Talent wins out. What did Jimmy Johnson say.
I had a guy fall asleep in a meeting one time.
I cut him immediately. But if it was Troy Aikman,
I'd wake him up and tell him, you know, hey, man,
we need you to pay attention. I get it. It's
so so I just we can. People can sit here
and get upset about it, but it's it's just what

(12:55):
it is. There's something in the civil suit information that
could make it where the NFL has to do something
to discipline. Now, if it goes to trial and that
public information comes to light, yes, because that public information
becomes it, does that become factual or like, how does
that work? I guess that's going too deep into it.

(13:16):
I guess I'm because I'm just trying to understand it.
That's that's the reality of it. And we've talked about
this all along. It doesn't matter whether it's it's factual
or not to the public. If the public perception is
they see something that was in a trial that they hear,
it doesn't matter if they feel like it's factual. If
it is factual. The public makes its own opinion off

(13:37):
whatever it feels like, making its opinion off whatever information
it gets, right, That's how this works. And there's spin
doctors who will spin it one way for the plaineffs,
one way for the defendant. So that's the hard part
is you don't want any information getting out because once
that information gets out of the public, and if it's
if it's damaging towards DeShawn Watson. Yeah, there's a chance

(13:59):
that he gets suspended for this next year. That's one
of the reasons why his salary for this next year,
if you saw it, is a million dollars, because because
they know their biggest risk of him getting suspended. And
so if you make that a million dollars, guess how
much hands up losing. Well, you do the math. You know,
if it used to be a lot of easier for

(14:20):
sixteen games, because you just say, you know, eight games
of sixteen, you can do the math on that. Now
it's seventeen a little more difficult. But the reality is this,
it's it's it's gonna be a little more a little
more easy to to absorb that hit knowing that it's
only gonna take away from a salary, not a signing bonus,
nothing else that he signed for. And Tony Buzzby the lawyer.

(14:41):
He he doesn't strike me as somebody who wants to
settle like he strikes me as somebody who wants to
continue moving forward with this. And uh, now we get
to wait to see, Uh you know how it all
plays out. Here's the hard part is now you know
know how much money he's going to have, like the
the Browns may have just up. Yeah man, buzz Okay,

(15:02):
our price just just went on. Uh. It is two
pros that come to Joe here. Fox Sports Radio, LaVar Arrington,

Two Pros and a Cup of Joel here, Fox Sports Radio,

(16:30):
Lamar Sometimes some things, because I know, we say what
we think on mostly what would I say percentage wise?
We keep it on all the way way real, like
what's the percentage of what do you think? Uh at
eighty percent because there's more I'm at like seventy five

(16:54):
seventy Yeah, I was gonna say seventy because I think
we'd be out of here at eight we might have
lawsuits and not a hundred throwaway the key for me
at least. So that's our speed limit. Anything over and
we're getting pulled over, getting we getting clocked. Oh man,

(17:16):
all right? Coming up in about twenty minutes from now.
We know, especially Alberto, I mean, you want to know
what percentage of stuff he feels gets on the air
about one. Yeah, it's the show behind the show that
we are. We deal with daily. Twenty minutes from now,
a very interesting exchange in the world of sports over

(17:37):
the weekend, some fun stuff and probably something that LaVar
and Brady have wanted to do from time to time.
We'll have that conversation with you here on fs ARE. First, though,
I want to let you know we are brought to
you by Indeed of cold candidate calls aren't turning into
hot hiring leads, and indeed, indeed, because Indeed's powerful hiring
platform makes it easy to attract, screen and interview candidates
all from one place. Find your next grade higher visiting

Indeed dot com, so credit and speaking of Indeed, now
that the first two rounds of the tournament are over,
be sure to check out the Bracket Challenge standings at
Fox sports radio dot com for Fox Sports Radio's Million
Dollar Bracket Challenge powered by Indeed and Uh. I gotta say, man,
last year still felt a little awkward with the tournament

(18:20):
because it were places that they weren't at full capacity.
And all that. The tournament is back, March Madness is back.
This weekend was awesome top to bottom. We had upsets,
we had a great finishes, great games. Coach K is
still alive and and Duke is there U yeah, yeah,

(18:41):
yeah yeah. In general, vital signs are still there for
the team and for coach K and uh and man,
it has been a lot of fun to watch this
play out over the course of the weekend. It's been
a last I've enjoyed all of it. So good stuff
for you. Well that's the deteriorated. Like I was going
pretty good. I happened to notice what was going on. Lavares, um, LaVar,

(19:04):
do you have South Dakota State as a Final four team?
I think I believe I did. I don't have it
in front of me, but I believe I did. Was
the genesis of that thought. I don't you know, I
just I looked at it, and I picked up the
way I felt was was feeling good and feeling right
about it. You were feeling good about something, right, Yeah
I was. I mean mag might have been something good

(19:24):
that I was feeling good about. Yeah, I mean Brady
is leading the show. He's got to forty points as
far as the show goes, where a little more than that.
You're a you're a thirty one. I'm showing now I'm
time for a moment. Then I got right. Here's where
you do, Jonas. You just go to that little tab
where it's got like almost a circle. You hit the

(19:46):
refresh button and you'll see, I have forty three having
some issues here nine the way back behind here, you're
down there at thirty one. But that's all right. I mean, look,
we're still some time left. We've still got a lot
of a lot of things that could happen. You know.
Luckily for me, I don't claim pride in this, you
know what I mean? Like, if I claim pride in it,

(20:07):
you're gonna know I'm okay with y'all beating beating up
on me on this. You know, I picked my teams
the way I picked them. Um, I I go to
something different other than alive bet Jesus to to try
to get my information. I would have loved been with you.
I generally when you said South Dakota State, I wish

(20:28):
whatever you're doing that moment, I wish I was with
you for that. There was this movie called I think
it was called Analyzed This. It was ane Eddie Murphy movie.
You know, and and you know, I talked to some
of my daughter's imaginary friends. We we went under the
blanket and we we did uh we did the bracket
and that's how that's how it worked out. Hey, what man,

(20:48):
Sloan's killing it? Oh yeah, how is how is your daughter?
She still smoke everybody? Yeah, well it's not smoking everyone.
She's she's like two points behind Alicia and I, but
she's she's got so she's taught with Jonas or ahead
of Jonas. Actually she's ahead of She's got three of
her final four teams Zona. That's fine because I'm not about,

(21:13):
you know, trying to win these early rounds. It's all
about staying as as much if you can later in
the round. So later in this tournament, I keep as
many teams and it is possible I still have my
n C A final in contention and contention, I've got
Duke and Villanova the other two teams in the final four. Man,
that's you know, I have Villanova in the final, but
I don't know that they're gonna win. Well, the problem

(21:36):
is because you had South Dakota State, I think you
might already be eliminated. Uh in the final four. We
don't need I just need to get Villanova to to play.
But I had Michigan State winning I believe, So that's gone.
Yeah that is uh, but listen, Uh, you know this

(21:56):
is fun though, right, it's for entertainment purposes. I mean
I don't even remem umber my picks, so sorry, see
I that's like I said, I wish I was with
you whenever that pick went out. Yeah, you would have
been laughing. You might have not have even known it happened. Well,
the truth be told. On Friday, Um, we were kind
of going over where we stood after you know, day

(22:18):
one of the tournament, and I mentioned, and I didn't
make a big production out of this, I mentioned that
you had chosen South Dakota State to and it stopped
Brady deadness tracks and I said, wait what he did?
What I said? Yeah, it's a South Dakota State. And
the problem is because these are done on Fox Sports
Radio dot Com and not by hand, you can't go

(22:39):
back and like change yours. But I would never go
back and change it. I would well because can I
you know what? Can we be real right now? The
website that we use for the stinks right. I'm sorry.
It's a great bracket, it's a ton of fun. The
website we use is not user friendly, Okay, I'm a

(23:02):
big fan of it. Person, It's hard to navigate. I'm sorry, Well,
why do I have to be the only one that
can be real with you? What do you mean it
takes a while to load. It's just it's hard to navigate.
I'm pushing and praying that we can get a different
website provider something. I mean, I'm gonna get in so
much trouble for saying listen, I'm a big fan of it.

(23:23):
I'm a big fan of you know, Fox Sports Radio
dot COM's wrack of challenge. I mean, who's still alive
in that area? Who's who's where South Dakota is, Who's
still alive? Let me see, yes, Kansas, UM Richmond, Richmond
just fell off right or they're still there? Richmond got
beat by Providence in the early round. Um, yeah's out

(23:45):
of there. So who's still in there? From that that area?
Kansas and Wisconsin. Who who's left Auburn? Auburn's left, right, No,
they beat last night? Okay, so who's left? Yeah it's Miami,
Iowa State and then Kansas in Providence. Yeah, there you go.
I want to get a double digit. Feel like that
was that far off? You're gonna get a double digit?

(24:08):
I was gonna be playing off. Hold on, I got it.
Why do you think that you were not that far?
They got beat the first round? All right? Well who
else gotta beat the first round? Usc? All right, well
there you go. There's a there's a few that I
got beat the first round, right, yeah, I think it

(24:29):
was that unless you didn't make it out in the
first round. I think thirty two teams gotta beat the
first round A right, Yeah, that's but you know sound
yeah to include a plan, Yeah, man, a Notre Dame.
I thought Notre Dame was gonna win that game. I
needed I'm not Look, I'm not one to like I'm
not trying to be a fanboy and all that. For
anyone who watched that game, and obviously I watched every

(24:51):
minute of it. I love Eddie basketball. It's not even
like the Homer side of me. I just I love
Mike Bray. He's awesome for the sport. He's awesome to
those guys. Um, they have a really fun team to watch.
They got jobbed by the officials, all right. For anyone
who didn't see it, there was a breakaway dunk, and
I know it's like, all right, you're really gonna argue this.

(25:12):
This is just one example of many. There's a breakaway
dunk where the Texas Tech player jumped and he used
the rim to pull himself up to dunk, which you're
sitting there saying they you know, he could have done
a layup. They should have gotten two points. The reality
of it is it's called offensive goaltending. And I was
talking to my my good old Polish buddy Jake, well

(25:35):
this is going on, and I said, in real time ago,
that's offensive goaltending. That shouldn't count. And so he starts
arguing with me like he usually does, and sure enough,
as they go to break. They come back out of
the break and Lisa buying tend who's doing a great
job doing my play. She throws it to Avery Johnson,
who starts talking about how that's offensive gold tending shot count.

(25:59):
Just how you guys, why gene stratory comes in, you
know a way for You're right, you know that's offensive goaltending.
You've got something like this going on, and it's still
talking there eight minutes the game, gene ste was still
trying to explain how the officials missed something so blatant.
It was out in the open and he clearly grabbed

(26:21):
the rim, he used it to get up over and
then dunk. It's like, hey, Geen, we get it, dude,
Like can you can you condense it the twenty seconds
like it's not that complicated an explanation. But the reality
is there was a number of calls where I mean,
it got even to the point where like every Johnson there,
but like, yeah, they're just not getting calls, Like these
guys are getting foul, they're not getting any calls. And

(26:42):
so look, congrats to Texas Tech. I may have lost
a bet in that matter, um, but it was a
great run for that team, especially the way they kind
of played in some tight games over time games all day.
And by the way, can we diagnose why Jake was
arguing with you. He was he still a red ass
about Kentucky getting eliminated. Hit the button and your comments
about you, it's like being angry. We've already established why not?

(27:08):
How is that racist? You see? Because you can't get it.
I mean, it may be in there somewhere. Do you
have any friends who went to a school close to
Penn State that you grew up with that they're like
fanboy four and they don't really acknowledge how blind they

(27:31):
are to certain things. Do you have friends that fall
into that category? Okay, so I grew up with buddies
who went to Kentucky and Kentucky blue blood and college basketball.
No one's going to deny that. And I went off
on a tangent. And by the way, it's not even
like I'm the only person who feels this way. But
I always say to them and they get offended, like
they will start arguing or this is like a trigger

(27:53):
for them. If you eventually want them to start boozing
up and then eventually getting a fight, just say coach Calipari.
He's a good coach, great recruiter, which I think is
a compliment. But they get so infuriated by that because
they feel like he's a great coach, and I go, look,
I get it. He was a first mover in the
whole one and done era, a great he puts off

(28:15):
all these guys in the NBA. Cool, what has that
brought to you? Over the one championship? I mean, for
all that he is or claims to be, and I
know the tournament we talked about how hard is to win.
For all it is, he's got one championship, and and
he's probably got the most, if not a top five
recruiting class every single year, every single year in basketball.

(28:39):
They have the resources more so than probably most schools,
with the exception of what maybe Kansas, Like I mean,
I would even say I think they have more resources
than Duke in North Carolina and they and they get
balanced out. Are you serious in the first round? Like
I just if I'm a Kentucky Wildcat fan and for

(29:00):
whatever reason they don't want to question Calipari. At some
point you gotta go, all right, maybe it's time, like
as good as he has been or was and all that,
the one and done, that's it's it's all over. That's
not playing an advantage for you. So where's it gotten you?
I just every time I bring that up, they get

(29:20):
so angry and fresh, and I'm like, why, I'm not
even a Kentucky basketball fan, and yet I'm getting mad
for you, Like you should be infuriated, right, And so
he's been sitting on that for two days and then
took the opportunity to applaud the officiating in the Notre
Dame game just to get even with you. See that
That's called friendship. That That is what like, if you're

(29:41):
a woman out there listening to this show, like, what's
it like? Uh as far as like you and your
guy friends House of Dynamic, That's exactly it. That's how
guys are. They wait, They wait patiently, and then they
get an opportunity to root against your team. That's what
they're gonna do, I mean, totally supportive. Yeah, oh man,

like everybody else for Fox Sports Radio's million Dollar Bracket
Challenge powered by indeed, how about that? How does it

(32:43):
feel to stink at brackets like you? We've been working
together for a while and you always talk so much
trash and you always get your asspeed because I want
it one year and then I thought I was good
at it. And then ever a time in which I've
ever seen you win anything in the past, what six
seven years, I'll tell me, tell me about it was.
I won it one year and then it's just been

(33:03):
all downhill. Ever you know details, all right, it is
time for this. Sometimes you can't get to everything in
the world of sports or entertainment. Good thing, the guys
are here to bring you in case you missed it,
and for that we turned it over to our executive producer,
Ricky Herrera. Leader lap is out, so screw him. We

(33:26):
got Ricky in the seat. What's happening, Ricky? Yeah, Screwley
in case yeah, yeah, yes, alright, alright, in case you
guys missed it. A Portland's Trailblazer center use of Nurchik
was involved in an altercation with the fan after Sunday's
lost to Indiana. Walking off the court, Nurchick stopped in

(33:48):
front of a fan who had a cell phone pointed
at the Blazer center. He grabbed it out of his
hand and tossed it away. Um, first of all, this
this kid looks like he's fifteen years old, and uh,
I don't know what he good learning lesson, here's what happened, folks.

(34:11):
You want all these kids to feel so safe everything else.
Now they're talking trash to a gigantic professional athletes that
they think they can say whatever they want on the floor.
At some point we need to realize there's consequences in life,
and we have to teach our children that. Okay, so
you can't have kids just say whatever they want not
get punched in the face. And this is essentially an

(34:33):
example of someone taking away what children prize the most
in their cell phone and and you know, disposing of
it like you can't just do and say whatever you
want and not face the consequences. That's life, That's how
it works. This is a good lesson for that child.
It was definitely real. O g B dude, the hooper
just walked up, snatched it and it flicked it and

(34:55):
rolled out, flicked and rolled out. That's kind of all
I really have on it. I mean, how so you
said Philly fans are the worst, right, But but did
they individually? Was there like one guy ever trying to
get basketball? Basketball fan politics is different than football. It's
it's much different, Like it's much more intimate and basketball

(35:17):
than it is in football. So when you get craziness
going on with football fans, it's generally from afar with basketball.
Like you saw he's standing on the court. He's standing
on the court. Holler and not the homie. The homie
came over, gave me what he wanted. That's what it
seemed like what took place. I mean, you know what
they should do. Don't even reject the fan. Make him

(35:40):
trade seats with somebody in the nosebleeds, Like, get somebody
who can't afford those seats, that that that ticket, and
give him those seats and tell that guy to to
go kiss your ash and say get out of here.
Buddy goes sitt in the nosebleeds. And then when you
learn how to behave then you can come back down
here and so on these expensive floor seats. That's how
that works. But I will say, we can't con own

(36:00):
a professional athlete being that way. What about flicking a phone?
I mean, you don't put physical. But it's physical. He
made physical contact with him, So I would say, don't
you know, I'm not condoning that either, even though I
liked it, Yeah, I liked it, but I'm not condoning it.

(36:20):
What else we got? Ricky? Okay, guys in case, in
case you missed it, and hyer Busch, a key sponsor
of the NFL, severed ties with the Washington commanders on Friday.
No reason was given as to why they are going
that route, and hyjer bus said in a statement that
it had decided not to renew ties with Washington at
this time. Oh, they might be in one of them emails.

(36:43):
What do you mean there? Somebody might be in one
of them emails? I mean, what's the you know? I mean,
you're the not an expert. What do you mean? You're
are Washington commanders inside? You're you're the one that told
us they were gonna switch to the commandos. You're months
they changed their name again. Yeah, So why did why

(37:05):
did Anheuser Busch pull out of the the partnership? What's
going on? They probably didn't feel Okay, nothing nothing, I'm
gonna leave that at all because I really was going
to go right into that one. Just use the context clue,
say the name couple of times, and then you put
the two together. Just they I don't think that they
fit well together. Okay, very good, Okay, I wasn't thinking that,

(37:27):
but that is a that is a solid point. I'm
just saying. I mean, they just don't seem to fit
well together at this time. I hear your yeah, alright,
definitely hear you. Alright, that solves that problem. I did
also see that. Um, you know, and what's good about
this is that if we don't get the answer now,
you know, at least in R G three's autobiography, we're

(37:49):
gonna get that. We were going to get it. That's
oh now he's not doing the book. Okay, yeah, I
forgot about that, and this probably was part of it,
partly part of the reason. I mean, I was really
looking forward to that, which you know that. Do you
think you scared him away like you were responsible for
the for the book back coming out? You don't think so.

(38:10):
But I hope he listened because he would have been
doing himself a tremendous disturbance. So all right, well done. No,
that is a good catch on you. But I really
just it might have went over everybody's head. But if
you caught it, you caught it, good for you if

(38:30):
enjoy it, if you caught it. Considering that there were
two two presidents there with the same name, they were
related ha
