Speaker 1 (00:00):
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe, Fox Sports Radio,
LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knocks. Coming up on this
Wednesday edition, we have got more movement in the NFL.
One team has identified their quarterback of the future and
they are surrounding him with talent. We will discuss Baker
Mayfield to the Pittsburgh Steelers. I feel like somebody talked
about that days in advance. Could it actually be happening.

(00:22):
We're also going to talk about Zion's return to social media.
The great Petros Papadka is gonna stop by. We've got
the good, the bat, and the ugly and the beak
Hugh News. All of it is yours. Next here, two
Pros and a cup of Joe Fox Sports Radio. You're
listening to Fox Sports Radio. So we got another team

(00:44):
in the NFL making some moves and it's all about
the quarterback position. We'll get into all that for you
here coming up in just a couple of moments from now.
It's two Pros and a cup of Joe. Fox Sports Radio.
LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you here on
fs are. You can hang out with us on the
I Heart radio app. You can find us on hundreds
of Fox Sports Radio affiliates and wherever you are making

(01:05):
us a part of your Wednesday morning, we appreciate you
doing so. We'll take you all the way up until
nine am Eastern times, six o'clock Pacific, right here on
Fox Sports Radio. How the hell are we feeling on
a hump day? Good morning? How we feeling? Good morning?
Feeling good. I'm really get back to some basketball though,
for March Madness. I know it doesn't start tonight, starts tomorrow,

(01:26):
starts back up, I should say, but I'm ready, man,
I've kind of missed it. It's been fun the last
the last five days or so. Yeah, because you're leading,
you're leading the show. It's not even that, it's not
even that. I just I think it's fun. I like
the drama, like the stories. I like everything that comes
along with it. I like the fact that you know
you're getting beat, get your ask banking like that. Thank you.
That's good. Good right there, loyal teammate. That Brady Quinn

(01:49):
just dancing on our graves are sticks? I did say, LaVar, Yeah, yeah, whatever, man,
Because I just watched as a as as a spectator,
I enjoy this. This is one of those times I
can just sit back with no pressure on me and
just enjoy it. Start start gambling that a change in
a hurry, and you know what. You know. What's funny though,

(02:10):
is just like for example, and not to go back
to like watching my alma mater, but just when you
when you when you know the coach, when you know
the program, you have a window into like what these
young men, uh, your young women with women's tournaments going
on right now, you have a window into what what's
going on. And it's such a unique tournament. It's such

(02:31):
a cool atmosphere and it's such a big stage. I
mean down the stretch for Notre Dames game versus Texas Tech.
You know Blake Wesley. They put the ball in his
hand and he's there, freshman. He's from South Bend, Indiana,
UM and I don't know if he'll end up going
pro or not. He has a chance to get drafted
after his freshman year. But you just you go back
and you look at that. You go it's pretty neat,

(02:52):
it's pretty cool. Like I remember those moments for myself,
and you know, you kind of relate when you're a
freshman you're playing, and you have no idea how big
of a deal it is until after it's all done,
and you're like, man, I was eighteen doing that, and
so it's just it's neat. And I think you see
a lot of those stories, or you know, you see
a guy like, um, was it Gllespie for Villanova? I

(03:14):
feel like it's been there for like eight years. Yeah,
you've got guys like that, like you've basically watched them
go from being a child to a grown adult over
the period of college, and and you're just you're kind
of taking it all in, like you've seen the entire
maturation process. So eighteen years old, Man, I trying to
think what I was doing at eighteen. I think I
was a bus boy and I thought whippets. I thought

(03:34):
you told me whippets. What is that? What? What is
is that? Why? Why? Why do I feel like I'm
out of the loop? What is uh? What what is it?
It's it's like, uh, like breathing in the know. Was
it the Nitrius from like like whipped cream can or
something like, Okay, very good classy guy here, that Brady.

(03:57):
It's like chasing that dollar store. Nice. Yeah, it's like
laughing people back winds. Yeah there it is, sniffing highlighters
and uh, good job, well done, the face of big
new kickoffs, big new kickoffs. Just dye of my job,

(04:19):
start off the show. If you thought of the store. Um, hey,
how about the Miami Dolphins finally having some commitment to
a to a tug of by loa. How about that
the Dolphins making another move. Uh they have added a
three time Pro Bowl offensive tackle turn Armstead a five year,

(04:39):
eighty seven and a half million dollar deal forty three
plus million guaranteed. According to reports, they also signed Connor
Williams formerly the Cowboys on the offensive line. Uh. They've
added different pieces around him. So it feels like David
Lee said, while everybody else is looking for another quarterback,
we're gonna go with our guy, but kind of surrounded

(05:00):
with much better talent than he's having previous years. I
think that you gotta you gotta see if he can
be that guy because it comes back to was the
drama that played out. They're based upon the belief or disbelief,
lack of belief, I should say, and what too it
could bring to to that team. Right, So where you

(05:23):
staying right now? You almost have to give him a
fair opportunity, like what is a fair opportunity? Okay, protect them,
you know, make sure that he has you know, significant protection,
and and make sure that he has an opportunity to
either either prove that he can do it or prove
that he can't do it. But this is going to

(05:43):
be that year for two a tongue of aloa to
to show that he can either do it or he
can't do it, and and so, and he won't. I
guess the way you you look at these type of acquisitions,
You look at and you say that they're giving you
the support, giving you the belief that you need in
order to have the success that that they're hoping that

(06:05):
you can have. So he's gotta he's got to show improved.
You gotta believe that the spotlights on him to to
make make it work, you know. And I think that
that's where it's that and that's you gotta feel good
if you're too um that they're they're making him feel
at least it appears from the outside that they're making
him feel like he's you know, he's the guy. And
and we're gonna give you what you need to have

(06:27):
that opportunity to be just that. Well, let's be clear
about the hiring of Mike McDaniels. He was it was
one in which Chris Greer who won the power struggle
with Brian Flores, which really, you know, we can say
whatever we want about Steven Ross and how that all
worked out, but it was a power struggle. You know,

(06:48):
you don't see a GM survive a head coach go
if there wasn't some finger pointing or a blame game
playing out and whatever. Whoever wanted to Shawn Watson whoever didn't.
And I guess it was what Flores who did, Greer
who didn't because he drafted to AU. Whatever the case,
maybe it's irrelevant Greer survived. He gets a coach that

(07:12):
I think it's more aligned with making the most out
of to a tongue of Iloa, who mind you that.
You know they didn't have to trade up or do
anything to get They were able to sit back get
the guy that um they were hoping they get. And
look when when he started, he's won games. I know
people have a lot of questions about his arm strength.
I know people have questions about his his durability, but

(07:36):
he's won games for this team. He's an accurate quarterback.
Now granted it might you might say it's more dink
and dunk, but the reality is it's a style that
I think Mike McDaniels says, I can work with that.
You know, I can work with a guy who is
a good decision maker, who's accurate, who can you know,
run a system in an offense if we just improved
the running game. I mean, I'll ask you this name

(07:56):
the leading Russia for the Miami Dolphins the past two
years while two has been there. Bernie Parmley O p
p U. Great, great reference, great name, but uh yeah,
I'm trying it was it um uh Miles Gaskin. Uh
so it's Miles Gaskin. And well at least that was

(08:20):
last year, uh the year before that. I'm sorry, I'm
trying to actually look this up now, but Miles gask
was six hundred yards by the way. Yeah, they've had
nothing at running I mean, and so you know, Brian
Flores could have felt however he wanted to, but if
you're talking about strictly on the field, he didn't. He
didn't create a conducive environment for his quarterback to succeed. Uh.

(08:42):
It was gas in the last two years. Uh six
hundred yards, five hundred yards uh Russian Jesus Man. Yeah,
it's been more running back by committee. But what I'm
trying to get to is he didn't create an environment
that was conducive for his quarterback to go be the guy.
Like we kind of talked yesterday about how everyone wants
to find that like Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes because the
playoff game. What's like, yeah, he might not have the

(09:05):
Josh you know Alan or Patrick Mahomes ability, But I
mean those guys didn't look like how they looked this
past season right out of the gate or in their
second year either. It took them a while to get there.
So like, give it a little time to see what
we can work this thing into and surround him with
some talent. And and by the way, if you look
at what's happened in San fran they surrounded that quarterback

(09:27):
position with talent, and it's you know, Jimmy G's got
into Super Bowl, but you know, now it's gonna be
Trey Lance's torn at least that's how it looks. So
there's no guarantee that's about to Uh. I just think
they go if we want to see what we have
in and we've got to give him the best shot
we can and if it doesn't work out, we'll find
someone else to come in and be the guy behind him.
And the best thing for Toa's career was Brian Floores

(09:48):
getting fired Absolutely the best thing for his career because
they've identified that this is the exact approach that, as
Brady pointed out, we're gonna surround him with as much
talent as we have and we're gonna see what we
got because at least at the end of this year,
at least you'll know at least he's gonna get a
real shot when a real opportunity, and they're gonna do
everything they can to try and make it work. And

(10:08):
at least if it doesn't work, they can walk away
and say, hey, we gave it a shot, we gave
it an honest try. We're not yanking him out of
the lineup when he's trailing on the road his rookie year.
It's not playing out in the media with a bunch
of chaos arounding him. So I think the absolutely the
best thing that happened to his career was Brian Floores
getting firedinitive it just I don't disagree. I don't I

(10:32):
don't act, so I don't disagree. Also, it's part of it.
Do you think, is this kind of like what Trabinsky
has dealt with being in the same draft class as
Deshaun Watson and Patrick Mahomes. TOA is going to be
compared to Burrow and to Justin Herbert the rest of
his career. I don't know. I think that there's enough
distance between college and now today to look at the

(10:56):
merits of what they're doing right now in the league.
And so when I look at TOA, I mean, the
reason why you would say what you would say is
as an onlooker, it's not hard to come up with
the conclusion that it's like somebody doesn't buy into you,
somebody doesn't buy into him, and and and it appeared
to be I mean, you start. Let me tell you something,

(11:17):
as as a former athlete and as a pro athlete,
if you're hearing directly related to you that you're not
good enough, and that's playing out in the media and
to the to the tune of where it's like we
we know, I know exactly who I think is better
that I want to bring in to replace you. Oh,

(11:40):
by the way, if something happens you're getting benched, that's
not that's not that's not being a hater. That's not,
you know, because people will sit there and be like,
what you guys are trying to discredit Brian Flores. It's
not about trying to discredit Brian Flores. It's not about
turning into this into a racial issue. If you just
look at them for nation, that's right there in front

(12:01):
of you. The way he handled to a, the way
they handled the conversations as it applied to Deshaun Watson,
and what ended up ultimately happening was this was this
more racially driven or was this as you mentioned earlier, Brady,
or was this a power struggle between two people that
we all know the most important position is the quarterbacks position.

(12:24):
And if you use as high a draft pick as
you did onto a tongue of a loa that there
has to be some type of r o I or
there has to be or that r o I has
to be somebody paying with their job. And and ultimately
we saw somebody pay with their job, and that was
probably most likely clearly the guy who did not believe

(12:47):
in the quarterback that they spent that draft pick on
so I think it makes a ton of sense. But
now you gotta assume there can be no more excuses
for Tah. He's got to make this season work otherwise.
I mean, I think we all know what his fate
is sealed. Yeah, it's pretty much a rap. And I mean, look,
Brian Flores had a choice. He could have taken games.

(13:09):
I mean, there was an opportunity to take some games
and you don't want to do it. I'm just saying
like they were there choices in life, and he he
chose not to want to take off. You know, where's
that gone? Like that? That isn't anything about anything. For example,
it must be all the hot NBA news that's out

(13:29):
there are like time there came at point in time
with all of the Deshaun Watson the twenty two civil
allegations were like Tony Buzz, who would stoke the fire?
You know something? What happened? He just he throws something
out there. He tried to make a public statement and
he tried to keep people like oh yeah, like Deshaun Watson,
he's got the twenty two civil cases against him right now,

(13:50):
he would just try to keep it out. You know,
at the forefront of some of the football talk, this
is just completely die. I mean when they first, when
they first made these accusations, they were sitting on what
Good Morning America, it was like floors. It was attorneys
on TV the next day and you're going, all right,
They're they're doing a media blitz like this is unbelievable.

(14:11):
Now we haven't had heard a word, and it's just
it's surprising only because the tactics they used initially, and
now it's really quieted down since you joined the Steelers staff.
And I'm not sure if that's just because it's the
legal system. It's gonna run its course. It's gonna take
a while. If they don't feel like they have as
much of a case anymore. I know they haven't dropped it.

(14:34):
I mean they look these things can take years, but
I'm kind of led to believe that maybe they don't
feel so confident about their chances anymore as they once did,
at least when they when they first, you know, first
you know, file these accuses they had evidenced. You know what,
I didn't here or I didn't here to speak and

(14:55):
talk about these things. Do you do you realize we
did and really hear any like for me, this this
is the gauge. You can hear a lot of bs
from a lot of different places, but one thing you
won't see is, especially in football culture, we come to

(15:15):
each other's rescues like we will even if I don't
really fool with you all like that, if somebody else
is fooling what you will, come will come assist you,
like like you're not going to talk about them that way?
How many how many players, how many coaches? How many?
How many people did we here come out and just

(15:36):
definitively be like like coach Flores, like that's my guy,
Coach Flores, He's right, gotta die. Support him. That's exactly
what was going on at a good point. We've not
heard anyone come out and say anything that would would
be considered to be a an endorsement, and and to

(16:00):
say if that came from a player after you lost
your job, that would be a glowing that would be
a glowing aspect of all of this, and it would
be damning to the Miami Dolphins. You've not heard anything,
So you got to assume that they're looking at this
and you know who they're rallying around. Yeah, and they

(16:20):
probably want to see him succeed. And if you've ever
met him, you you would probably want to see him
succeed as well. So he really is he's he just
plays football those football works hard. Like he's the nicest
kid that's on the on the Fox Sports of the
Blowtorch of the Hawaiian Islands Fox Sports. I'm just saying, like,

(16:43):
you know, it's it's how it's done. Are you saying,
it's part of the brotherhood. Yeah, the brotherhood, you know,
I mean now, I mean he was you know, I
didn't want to stick. It's it's the brotherhood. Yeah, Okay,
I see what you're saying. Okay, listen, it's uh what
you're both doing to ease. Yeah, that's all right, that's
all right. By the way, we are, we are brought

definitely not do not go. Yeah, you can't. Yeah, you

(17:30):
hear that lead coming up. There was a we throwout
an idea, a potential destination for somebody in the NFL,
and apparently we saw into the future. Could this actually
be happening? Could it be a reality? We'll get into
the details on that for you right here. Us be
sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and a

(17:52):
Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LaVar, Arrington and Jonas
Knocks week days at six am Eastern, three am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the I Heart Radio. Oh Man,
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe, Fox Sports Radio.
You've got problems, LaVar, and it's got problems. Uh, it

(18:14):
is LaVar, Brady, Jonas just all hanging out, have problems, Jonas.
Some of us just choose to embrace them. Others are
victimized by them. Me I embrace my problem. We were
talking during the break we are we are going to
get to uh this. Uh. Apparently people listen to the
show because we threw out an idea and people have

(18:36):
started to Uh there's been a report that's been running
possibly happened, Uh, Lavarn, We're talking about how tough the
Polynesian culture is like Polynesian football players and Polynesian dudes
like in fact Polynesian people period. I mean, uh and
a lot of them. And there's such a strong football

(18:58):
culture in Hawaii. But like they go to where like Oregon,
all over the country, Utah here too. Shouts out to
my people in Juice County, Less Fafitta, the Fafitta family.
What's up, y'all, it's up Juice County. Yeah, yeah, little
shoes don't do that. They'll come forth. Yeah they do that.
Don't you do that? They don't do that. You saw

(19:22):
the movie with the rock that ain't for fake? Yeah?
The pickups pull up right? Yeah? Why why pickups? Because
that's that's the vehicle choice. Sorry, my people have a
lot of pickups to you know yourself. Thank you. Yeah.

(19:42):
Roberto was waiting to say that, what a tough look
at the boxing industry. Who's the toughest dudes that they are? Mexican,
no doubt about it. Chins, Iron Chins. I've always told people,
if you want to make it seem like you know, boxing,
just come in on a Monday at work and say, hey,
did you see that Garcia Lopez fight over weekend? I'm
telling you, but guaranteed, Garciana Lopez will have fought over

(20:08):
the weekend at some point across the country. So Brady's
a big boxing guy. He's always scoring him on Twitter.
I see. So there's there's all that. It took his
way off the rails, right, um, alright, alright. We are
brought to you by Discover. Real credit card questions require
real people, someone who understand your issues and works to
resolve them with you. That's why I Discover offers helpful
US based represented as available seven Discover exceptionally common sense.

(20:30):
We're gonna get into this story in the NFL apparently, remember, yeah,
you remember what team he played for, uh, Cincinnati, that
same same division? Oh god, who was it? Was it Pittsburgh?
You'll remember how he's a fullback for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Ran hard hell vaguely, I vaguely remember that at fat

(20:56):
to Mala Falla. I feel like we're gonna get dumb.
I mean, he is a Mala follow so he is.
I mean, you didn't like my segway, No I did.
It was good. You were in Ohio, you started in Yeah, okay,
it's the wrong Ohio team. Well I was gonna say,

(21:17):
you know, when we're gonna get to that to the
exact Ohio team and uh and the team in the
a f C North. It's tied to this. But speaking
of Garcias and by the way, Eddie was born in Hawaii.
The irony, it all ties together, It all ties together.
You go, what's the world is a small place? The

(21:39):
Honolulu Garcia over there. That is accurate. That's accurate. Alright, alright,
let's start off with some news from the NFL. As
Jonas had mentioned earlier, the Mamami Dolphins are totally signing
former New Orleans Saints offensive tackle tear And Armstead five
year deal worth up to eighty seven point five million.
It includes forty three point three seven million in guaranteed
money to lineman. Jerin Read announced on social media that

(22:02):
he's signing with the Green Bay Packers. He started all
seventeen games for the Kansas City Chiefs last season. Now
back to the Warrington Brady Quitte, Jonas Knox in the
Fox Sports Radio student, thank you Eddie, two pros and
a cup of Joe here Fox Sports Radio coming up
fifteen minutes from now. Very interesting video came out in
the world of sports. Uh and uh, something just seems
a little off. Seems a little off about the video

(22:24):
and question. We will get into all that for you
here again fifteen minutes from now in another edition of
In Case you missed it. Um. So, we were talking
about the ideal spot for Baker Mayfield, if you were
to end up somewhere, that would be a lot of
fun just to watch see it play out, considering he is,
as LaVar likes to point out, a red ass. Uh

(22:44):
and uh and so the the the ideal spot would
have been the Pittsburgh Steelers, but obviously they went in
another direction. They signed Mitch Trabiski, and um, Mary Mary
kay Cabot says that if and she has been all
over this Baker Mayfield stuff covering it for Cleveland dot Com,
says that if Baker Mayfield gets released, she has heard

(23:07):
that these Steelers would absolutely pounce on Baker Mayfield, even
though they've got Trabisky, they would make the move to
bring in Baker Mayfield. Um, I mean, and that would
be the right move, man. Well, I mean, he would
have he would have a shot. Let me tell you something.
Pittsburgh would love him. We would love him because he's
a Pittsburgh type of dude. He's got a chip on

(23:29):
his shoulder, he's got he's got the puffy butt. So
I don't know that I would love him. He wouldn't
love him, No, I don't think so what's wrong over
what you have? Yeah? He is, You're right, but I'm
not a big fan of his. And see, I I
just knowing how we are and there with how we
we act with one another and how we do things,

(23:51):
we we would embrace how he is because we're underdog.
We're an underdog city like we're It's weird because and
one in one aspect where we expect to win. We
we we work to be better. We're we're hard hat
people were very normal, but we have a we have
in a lot of ways loser mentality in terms of

(24:13):
we just feel like the odds are always stacked against
us and and that we're not going to have a
fair opportunity, and that people are talking about us they
have five super Bowls or six six super bowls. Underdog
talking about talking about the city. I'm talking about the
city and and the way that that the citizens like

(24:35):
feel about things. It's an underdog culture. Ye, the still us.
It's a good point. He wouldn't he wouldn't fit with
what Come on, come on, I'm that's true. He's been
a Penguins fan forever. Yeah right, he's gonna sign Penguins Jersey, right,

(24:58):
But where you were, I don't know. I just don't.
I think we would call you an impost thank you.
I appreciate it. He puts on that pens yea with
the Marin air on it. Thank you, Happy birthday. By
the way, I think we would be able to sniff
you out. Man. I'm just, I just I think that
outside of Eddie Garcia, the city would love him because

(25:21):
we had that that underdog mentality. Nobody appreciates us, we don't.
We don't get the respect we deserve. Somebody's always hating
on us or why can't we get an opportunity like
that's how we are, that's how and we're not waiting
towards each other too. So to bring in a guy
that has that underdog underdog but no, I don't think

(25:44):
he's a bigger underdog Baker. He doesn't have an edge
to him, underdog or edge there. If you're it's it's
it's when you're an underdog from Pittsburgh. It's an edginess
to your being an underdog. It's not like a meekness
or like it's like, oh, I'm quietly an underdog. Like
it's like, how how how Baker Mayfields underdog is ms

(26:08):
are is very Pittsburgh is Okay? What sounds more Pittsburgh
Mayfield or Trabisky? Yeah? So, I mean, you know, like,
is that Polish? Trabisky? Polish? We have a lot of
people in Pittsburgh. Pretty I'm pretty positive. Yeah, not Irish.
I don't need I don't need to look this up

(26:30):
based on the last name. I'm pretty sure it's Polish. Yeah,
I mean, it could be wrong. I'm pretty sure, though.
It got to be so much fun. Man if he
if he could, if if if he's there and they
can't find anybody, and we've we've heard the Carolina Panthers
aren't interested in Mayfield, but now we're hearing stuff that
that Baker Mayfield would be interested in the Seattle Seahawks.

(26:51):
It's like, because obviously we're running out the starting opportunities,
Hold on for a second, think about this. How many
other quarterback or how many other quarterback rooms? I would
have three former first round picks in their quarterbacks. Jeez, Haskins.
If that scenario played. And by the way, Rudolph was

(27:12):
a second round pick, I think was he se or third?
I thought he was taking in the top fifty picks?
Am I wrong? I would need to We'll look up
Mason Rudolph. We have a Mason Rudolph insider here. Obviously
it's a morning show, so no stone in turn. Financially,
we have a Mason Rudolph insider here on on the crew.
I mean, listen, listen. People think you're right. It's a

(27:33):
third round pick, all right there, So researcher get there
in time. I digress. I saw his headphones go out.
His headphones went out right when you sit it. So
he was right there with you. Did you got it
out of there at least earn your check? Did did
Mason Rudolph? Did he get drafted in the third round?
He did? He was picking seventy's madoff? I was still

(27:55):
I was still looking up true bisky. I want to
go back trying to see if he's pulling it off. Yeah,
I want to go back and stuff. Oh what would
you find out? Okay, okay, yeah, I want to go
back to Eddie Garcia, I want to know, Like, so

(28:16):
you're all in with Drabinski rather than if there was
an opportunity to get Baker Mayfield. No, I'm not all
in on either of these guys. I think the Steelers
need to drop somebody, and I think that's what they
that's what their plan is. But I mean for next year,
God only knows. Well, see to me, that's very Pittsburg

(28:37):
is now you you brought you brought yourself back your hands,
and that's what Pittsburgh does. You know. We said only
God knows and yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, and then we
just hope that that God answers it too, you know,
And that's real, that's very real. In fact, I pray
every day hoping that God to do it. Yeah yeah,

(28:59):
because he will. Um. So so listen, I like Baker
may Phil to Pittsburgh and we had a lot of success.
Would an Ohio quarterback this this last go around? All right?
So if we're going to get another Ohio um quarterback,
which I know it's not his origin, well he's been

(29:19):
there from Ohio to yeah I believe mentor Ohio, but
he's coming from but he's coming from Indianapolis or from
from Buffalo. I'm saying coming from Ohio right now, it
doesn't work, okay, but you tried? Hey, what do you

(29:44):
What do you guys think is the if you were
to and I'll throw this at Brady because he's the
the gambling expert on this show. If uh, well, I'm
just saying, what was you were Stephen Ross? I wasn't
sure to go to on the show. And Stephen's not
with us here, so, um, what is the or Calvin Ridley,
what do you think the odds are? What do you
what do you do you think? Do you think that
Baker Mayfield is more of a favorite to start Week

(30:07):
one or to not start Week one? Right now? What
would you think it is in Pittsburgh, any any team
in the NFL in general? I would think that it's
it's tough because obviously the team he's sitting on, there's
no shot. Although I was just gonna say, like this,

(30:29):
does Cleveland hang on to him the event that they
don't know what's going to happen? Is that why they're
hanging now? I personally think they're trying to. I mean,
this is how it's going to play out. You we
always talk about like deadlines do deals. Okay, So the
deadline in this case, it's one of a couple things.

(30:51):
It's what happens with Jimmy G. Because he's the other
quarterback that if you were a team like the Carolina Panthers,
who by the way, they said they're not interest in Mayfield, Okay,
But if if you're a team that isn't interested in
a veteran quarterback, you're looking at Jimmy G. You're looking
at bigger okay. And then if you know, if that
doesn't come around for you, you're looking at the draft.

(31:12):
And so so it's either if something happens with Jimmy G.
He's the last guy left. He's the last guy out there,
all right, So eventually a team would have to make
a play. Then that's that's one timeline to look at
whatever something happens with Jimmy G. If something doesn't happen
with Mayfield beforehand the draft, because if a team doesn't
get the guy they want in the draft, then they'll

(31:33):
look back into that veteran quarterback market. And then the
final thing is June one. Uh My again, I talked
about this before. He's got eighteen point eighteen point nine
million against the Brown's cap. If they're gonna release him,
you think it'd be a post June one designation, and
it splits that up over the next two years, so
they're not absorbing quite as much of his contract this year,

(31:57):
and and it would go into next year. So I
think that would be the three time frame that we'd
like look at, right, similar to how we talked about
Matt Ryan. He had a bonus. We knew he might
be traded, so you know that the Falcons don't have
to pay this bonus, right, that was one of the
timelines to look at with that deal. I think those
are the three kind of timelines we're looking at with
what could happen with Mayfield and what that's gonna happen.

(32:19):
Here's the this according to Fox Bet, the odds of
Baker Mayfield starting anywhere in the league, no team specific,
anywhere in the league Week one Yes is a plus
two hundred, which means he's a two to one underdog
to start anywhere. Week one No is a minus two fifty,
so a significant favorite to be on the bench or

(32:40):
not starting Week one for Baker Mayfield. Again, this is
the guy a year ago was talking long term contract
extension they're talking about potential sleeper super Bowl. Yes, it's
going into this season. I don't it's crazy how how
quick this is turned. Man, But that's the league. That's
that's how the league but work. But this offseason has

(33:01):
been just bananas. And here's what's working against Baker Mayfield
is that he it's we're into free agency. So the
longer it takes if you're not, if you're not free
and you're not out there and and teams know that
there's an opportunity for this, it puts you behind the

(33:22):
eight ball because they are prioritizing the quarterbacks they believe
or they feel they can get. They're they're prior to
prioritizing the players that they think that they can get,
and so it eats up that cap space, it eats
up it eats up those roster spots, and the longer
it goes, the more difficult it's going to be. And

(33:43):
that's the situation that Baker is facing right now, is
he's getting into the game after all of these moves
have been made at that specific position. I mean, there's
only thirty two of them, and and now you're talking
about what there's two to three possibilities now that exists,
maybe to Carolina and then yeah, I think that's maybe

(34:05):
Atlanta maybe yeah, although they signed Mariota, they signed them,
but maybe I think they're gonna draft one, and then
there's always that like are you going to address it
through the draft. It just gets very complicated for veterans,
especially if you're not established as an elite vet. We

and for that we turn it over to our executive producer,

Pelicans star Zion Williamson, who will be sitting out for
the remainder of the season, did post a video that
went viral yesterday of him doing a between the legs

(36:51):
off the backboard dunk shirtless. I know, Jonas, you had
a little bit of a problem or a conspiracy theory
about this video. It's not so much a conspiracy. I
just can't figure you're out Why the floor bends as
he jumps, like I don't understand, like the floor dips
when he lands and then when he comes down, and

(37:11):
I just I've never seen we've seen shack dunk for
how many years he was in the NBA. I don't
I remember a basket coming down, I remember the backboard
coming down. I don't recall the floor ever bending multiple times.
For a time. To explain to you, high end floors
have cushioning underneath. It looks like a pad. They will move,

(37:32):
the floor moves, they give not like that. What do
you man? I don't know, man, I'm trying to put
you up on a little bit of game. They just
give that like gives you a little bit more cushion
to land and a lot more cushion to get up.

(37:54):
They got some bounce to him, They got him bounce, baby,
but it wasn't he ruled out for the season, So alright, interesting, Uh,
it doesn't mean he can't make a shoe explode Nicko viral.
You know, the funniest part of the video of him
dunking between his legs is is how gravity grabbed ahold
of him after he got though. It's like if he

(38:20):
was to swim, He's he looks pretty boyant, so I
feel like he just floats. It's almost like that with
him in gravity. You know, get something there, and he's
just kind of buoyant. That gravity pulled him the hell down.
As soon as that energy was done taking him up,
that gravity was like, no, you might stand up here.

(38:42):
He went down so quick. It was quick, and then
he almost failed because gravity was pulling on him. So God,
I hope he comes back. He doesn't want to play
in New Orleans. Clearly he doesn't want to play in
New Orleans. Like he he doesn't want to be there,
and so this is, you know, probably an effort to
try and get the hellups. He more comparable to Shack
or Baby Shack Big Baby right now, big big big Baby,

(39:05):
more comparable to Big Baby God. But when when Zion
was playing man, he like he was good, like he's
he's he can score in the NBA. He doesn't shoot threes.
Everything is close to the basket. Nobody gave eight. Nobody
gave Big Baby any problems. Who they be given our boy?
You know they be giving him problems. I don't know.

(39:25):
Big Baby wasn't as big of a high flyer. I
think there's a there's a thought that when he won,
too many biscuits could go bad, and everyone said that
man has should be Zion's new nickname, Big Biss Big Biscuits,
the big Biscuit. Such an insulting like the big biscuit,

(39:50):
the big biscuit. That is uh. I like Zion, man,
leave him along, Gus, she exploded the best thing to
happen in his career. I mean, I've never seen it
happened before, Big biscuit. Speaking of biscuits, do I ever
tell you leave Arvin Oh? Fox Sports Radio has the
