Speaker 1 (00:00):
Two Pros and a cup of Joe. Fox Sports Radio,
Brady Quinn Jonas knocks with you here on a Thursday
and coming up, it is NFL Draft Day. The first
round is here. We have got reports and major shakeups
near the top of the draft. We've also got a
team in the NFL who's decided on their future at quarterback.
We've got the great Albert Brier stopping by. Apparently there's
(00:22):
a wide receiver who is starting to rock it up
the draft boards. We're gonna have another edition of the
b Q news we've got in case you missed it,
and another edition of Over Unders. It's two Pros and
a cup of Joe on a Draft day Thursday, coming
up next year Fox Sports Radio. You're listening to Fox
(00:42):
Sports Radio. Yeah, it's one of the great days of
the entire year. We will get into all of it
for the next three hours here on Fox Sports Radio.
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe. On fs are
LaVar Arrington is out, But it is me and Brady Quinn,
or should I say Brady Quinn and I taking you
(01:04):
all the way up till nine am Eastern times, six
o'clock Pacific here on Fox Sports Radio. You can hang
out with us as always on the I Heart Radio
app and on hundreds of Fox Sports Radio philliate's wherever
the hell you are making us a part of your
Thursday morning. We appreciate you doing so. Brady Quinn. It's
Draft Day, baby, it is Draft Day. And we don't
(01:24):
need Kevin cost now, Okay, we don't need some fictional movie. Now.
We've got real stories from Draft Day right here, right now.
It's leading up to tonight the first round. Uh. And
I'm glad by the way you corrected your your grammar
there and everything is still being evaluated to this point. Yea,
the table it is. Yeah, it is all about grammar.
(01:46):
And we do try and be as professional as possible
on this show. It's what we try and do that
is that is our goal. It's not really that we
provide good content or you know, any sort of grab
assid's that we are broadcast professionals here on Fox Sports
Radio now. Well before and I was thinking to myself,
I gotta be great to get somebody on the show
who like knows what draft day is like a right,
(02:09):
and as you mentioned, not that crummy movie, and I
should I shouldn't say that I speak out of turn
because I've never seen the movie Draft Day. I've heard now,
I've never seen it. You told me you're a huge
Kevin Coster fan. I said, you saw everything from water World.
It's the last of Mohigans. Um, yeah, you know a Bodyguard? Yeah,
The Bodyguard, by the way, is a movie. Um natural
(02:31):
one of the natural is. Yeah, I mean you're forgetting
about JFK. Yeah, bullderm and then uh, for for Love
of the Game, which is an awful movie where he
almost cut He almost cuts his arm off with a
with a table saw, which is almost impossible to do,
almost ruins his pitching career spoiler alert. And then JFK.
(02:55):
I think we're forgetting JFK as well too, you know,
so they're like the Mr Brooks or something like that.
I have no idea. Untouchables hen movies. Yeah, the Untouchables.
By the way, The Untouchables was actually offered to Deshaun Watson.
He declined for some reason. I don't know. I mean
that movie we are we can. I give you one
(03:23):
quick observation about a this is behind the scenes, okay,
So I don't I don't want to make too much
of this moment. But I'm gonna peel back the curtains,
go behind the scenes of something that occurred yesterday. What
the hell do you know about getting drafted in the NFL?
Huh No, No, we'll get to that. We're gonna get
to that. This isn't that sort of tease. This is
about a current top prospect, okay, who was lined up
(03:46):
for something. So just so people understand this entire week,
one of the neat things about being a prospect is
you can get paid. There was a ton of marketing opportunities,
and so one particular guy, who's it's prospect in this
year's draft, let's just says polarizing. Uh. He happened to
make a comment before he came on air with us
(04:08):
about with with our reporters, saying, if you ask one
negative question, I'm gonna walk off the set. And everyone
happened to hear it in the control room and throughout,
and we're all like, what's like, First off, you're promoting
a product and you're getting paid for it. Like imagine
walking off of an interview and you've got the branding
(04:30):
of a product on you, regardless of how to up
the question is that's part of the deal. Pal, you're
in the NFL. Now, that is a bold approach, and
so are you able to uh to unveil who this
individual might be. No, But like I said, he's a
top prospect, very polarizing, um and I think if you
(04:54):
followed the draft closely enough, you can connect the dots.
But I'd rather not. I'd rather not because I honestly
probably shouldn't be, you know, should be giving this out there.
But it is only added to the smoke that I
think is around this particular prospect in regards to how
he operates, you know. And I think there's there's a
(05:16):
lot of mixed opinions, but that's what you get right now.
So one of the things that's really interesting about this
particular moment in time is I remember my draft day
and being offered a contract from the Oakland Raiders. Now
at that point in time, JaMarcus Russell, who ended up
going number one, Calvin Johnson, and myself were all offered
(05:38):
a contract. Now, the contract was very vague. I remember
one of my agents that came up to me about it.
He goes, I don't know what to make of this.
It's just a bunch of percentages off of last year's
number one overall pick. There's no hard numbers to it.
There's a lot of vague language in it. I'm not
even really going to entertain this. And I always thought
(05:58):
in the back of my head after the draft the
way it worked out, obviously didn't go to the Raiders
at number one, and when I went to the Browns,
but I remember thinking to myself, what do the fower
just said yes and signed up to this very vague,
obscure contract. What would the Raiders have done in that case?
Or were they trying to leverage what was already there
(06:22):
with JaMarcus Russell since they had And I remember when
I went and visited and went out to Oakland and
spoke with Lane Kiffin and spoke with some of the
other members of that staff and organization, and they were like,
we really like you Land and obviously had been at
Southern Cow and so he had known me throughout my
time and Notre Dame. And it's so meanwhile, like we're
(06:42):
watching film, we're talking, you know, having a good time.
They told me flat out there like Al Davis once JaMarcus,
I said, okay, kind of not really shoure the point
of being out here right now, but I'll go up
and meet him and talk to It was that it
was to show you the nice facility they play in.
That was the Yeah. Well, I mean look at that
point they were in Alameda and and it was it
(07:04):
wasn't that bad of a facility, especially considering it having
me a nice day and and and all that good stuff.
And obviously the Bay is is a nice area, so
I didn't know problem. Mean, I hadn't really been out
there much, so it was fine for me. And talking
out Davis, who's a legend in regards to how the
NFL came together. Um, it was still like a really
neat experience, but I just I found it kind of interesting.
(07:24):
But that's just one of the many things that's happening
right now. Is whoever is the number one overall pick?
And there's obviously odds to that right now, it's it.
They don't usually start negotiating right away because they don't
necessarily have to, but the contracts are so simple they
could if they wanted. But a lot of that stuff
right now, I mean usually in a year where it's
a quarterback and it's very defined, like Trevor Lawrence, those
(07:47):
negots negotiations basically start the minute his name's turned in
and he's drafted by that team. Is uh. So do
you believe that, because I mean, this would change the
course of a lot of history. Do you believe that
what they were telling you was accurate? That everybody on
the Raiders preferred you, but it was just Al Davis
who wanted Jamacus Russell because that does play into the
(08:08):
m o of of Al Davis, who was all about
fastest guy could throw the first like so so you
so that is a real thing. You believe that that
staff if if they were given the opportunity to make
the pick and Al Davis said, hey, we trust you guys,
you tell me who you want, Brady Quinn, you would
have been an Oakland Raider. I think definitely think there's
(08:28):
a chance. I mean, obviously you had someone like Calvin
it was a part of that too. And I don't know.
Those are just some of the things that were told
to me. You know, Greg Knapp who was there as
their quarterback coach at the time. God rest his soul, um,
you know, all those all those people who are involved
with that. That was just what was said to me.
But like I said to you. This is that week,
this is that time of year where there's a lot
of things said that aren't necessarily true, you know, And
(08:49):
that's the hard thing to deal with is you know,
I've told you about John Gruden's story and working out
with him when he was in Tampa. You know, everyone's
gonna tell you something. The reality is the draft comes
and and that that's actually what takes place. And that's
the hard thing for these prospects is they've been told
a lot. Now it comes down to the day where
they actually see who's gonna take them. You know, it's
great about it. It's like, hey, so what was your
(09:12):
introduction into dealing with the NFL. I was lied to
a bunch like I was basically lied to my teams
by the NFL. And we were the first class where
they asked on camera, you know, at least from my recollection,
they were asking all these guys on camera whether or
not they'd smoked weed before and then and Gus were like,
so this is this is confidential. This is gonna go
(09:33):
in there like, yeah, of course not. And then obviously
a couple of prominent figures told the truth that they
had The day after the combine that was leaking out
into the press. It's it's just it's unbelievable. It's just
And that's why I just think it's fascinating because I
was asking you guys about it, even LaVar Leier this week.
Like we we all, like in the general population, we
have sort of an understanding where it is we're going
(09:55):
to be in the next you know, couple of years.
We we kind of have an idea where we're gonna be,
if we're gonna a job whatever. Like I kind of
have an idea that I'm gonna be here at Fox
Sport Trade in the next couple of years. If you're
putting yourself in the place of all thirty two draftees
coming up later on tonight, I mean we're hours away.
They have no idea where their life is going. They
(10:17):
have like, they have no idea whether or not their
career is on the rise and they're gonna be a
Hall of Famer or they're gonna be drafted to a
bag of crap and have to just wear it for
the next three or four years and it derails their
entire life. I swear to God, like this is their
entire life is on the line here proverbly speak proverbally speaking,
So right, right, I mean, there's about eight teams that
(10:39):
I think you're looking at where you're saying they're legitimate contenders,
and you could say, well, that's because of the quarterback
they have, but they also happen to be pretty good
organizations too. Um. But I mean, I remember the night
before the draft and my agent, we were actually adding,
had an appearance. Um. I think it was like an
Xbox appearance or something like that, but we were at
a part in an appearance. My agent came to on
(11:00):
to me and he said hey, um, and then this
was like the Cleveland Browns Phil Savage story where he
had told me said, hey, if both you and Joe
Thomas are available at three, they're gonna go with Joe Thomas.
Phil Savage knows how much you you you know, want
to be at Cleveland Brown. You grew up rooting for
him and what it would mean to you and your family.
He wanted to prepare you for that, and I said, huh,
(11:22):
that's odd. He goes, yeah, he goes, I'll be honest
with you, I've never had a general manager in the
history of being an agent, and Tom Connins represent you.
Know he's represented the Mannings, he's represented a lot of
a lot of big name quarterbacks. Because I've never had
any general manager ever telling me this. He goes, so
I don't know what. I don't know what to make
of it. I mean, think about it. A guy who's
the best in the industry, who's done it forever, was
(11:44):
even shocked by this. He goes, it's either a smoke
screen or he goes, he's being honest, and he goes,
and I guess we'll find out tomorrow. And so once
that third pick got there and it's me and Joe,
I actually thought in the back of my head, I
was like, well, I believe Phil because of the time
I had spent with him and getting to know him,
I had an inclination of what he wanted to do
(12:05):
and what he was going to do. And so sure enough,
he ends up taking Joe Thomas in that spot and
then ended up coming back up to get me at
twenty two. But even moments like that, and you know,
you get so much information up to the last minute
before the draft, then this will be a little different.
I think. With with travon Walker and how it looks
like he's slated to be the number one pick. They
(12:26):
signed Camera Robinson to an extension, so it looks like
they're not gonna go tackle obviously, right that was the
only other position that I think you would have looked at. Um.
So I sit there and say to myself, like, outside
of that, you know, you wonder what Aidan Hutchson's hearing
right now. You wonder what Cavon Thibodeau is hearing. You
wonder what these tackles are hearing. A lot of stuff's
been thrown around about Evan Neil in his medical grade. Um.
(12:48):
So it's just it's a crazy time for these guys.
And as you touched on, it's the greatest reality TV
there is. We like no one else are sitting there
back figuring out where they're gonna live their lives. So
the next four or five and the best part is
we're gambling on it. That's the whole thing. It is nuts.
It's why That's why I've always loved the draft, even
(13:09):
it was when it was the two day marathon, to
where they didn't split it up and go first round
and then you had another couple of rounds and then
you finished off the draft. Uh later on Saturday, the
marathon Saturday and Sunday for hours upon hours. Watch it
like I watched all of it. I think the draft
is one of the more enjoyable and fun days of
the entire year. As we talked about yesterday, college football
(13:30):
in the NFL, of the two biggest sports in the country.
It's one of the rare nights where they're on the
same platform, on the same stage, being showcased, and it's
gonna be a lot of fun later on tonight from Vegas,

Coming up next, there was a move that was made
yesterday in the NFL which may have given away a
top secret of the NFL Draft. Later on tonight, we'll

tell you what that is. Right here on fs ARE.

Two Pros and a Cup of Joe Fox Sports Radio,
(14:34):
Brady Quinn Jonas Knocks with you here on fs ARE,
Coming up later on this hour. Ah, this is a
dangerous one. Later on this hour, in another edition of
In Case you missed it, UM, a new perk has
been unveiled for the number one overall pick. So yeah,
a new a new perk there, Brady. So we will
(14:58):
get to that coming up here. I'm already yeah, listen.
Uh yeah, there's a lot a lot going on with this,
so we will try and navigate. Yeah, one of those
trying to navigate those waters here coming up later on
here on fs ARE. UM. All right, so tell me
if I am overthinking this when it comes to the
(15:20):
NFL Draft. All right, So, because I noticed a couple
of things yesterday in the league. So I'm looking around
and I see, okay, what sort of movement is there?
And I'm like, huh, that's interesting. So the UM the
Jacksonville Jaguars made a move yesterday. Uh, the Jacksonville Jaguars decided,
you know what, enough messing around. We're gonna go ahead
(15:41):
and we're going to us sign our offensive tackle who
has been playing on the franchise tag, Cam Robinson. We're
going to sign him to a three year, fifty four
million dollar extension. And I thought, huh, well, you know,
let's go ahead and see how that impacts maybe what
the Jags are doing at the top of the draft.
And apparently, according to our friends over DraftKings, it means
(16:03):
a lot because now Travon Walker, who was an underdog
earlier in the week and then a slight favorite the
next day, has now gone from a three to one
favorite to a minus four fifty to be the number
one pick coming up later on tonight, the defensive end
out of Georgia. He is an overwhelming favorite at minus
four fifty. You gotta lay forty five dollars to win
(16:26):
ten for those of you uninformed out there, uh to
uh to to win money there, because that is the
prevailing wisdom. They think Trayvon Walker is going to go
number one. Overall. Coincidence that it happened after the announcement
of Cam Robinson getting his three year contract from the Jags.
So a few things. And I did reach out to
(16:46):
someone who who knows knows a lot of books and
knows a lot of oddsmakers in most cases, and and
you have to go state by state nowadays with how
this works. Um, a lot of the draft position like
future props are actually locked in. And because books are
concerned about all this information getting out and that line
(17:08):
is not being that sharp and Better is getting an edge, right,
So I think there's some speculation there on both sides,
not only for you know, the Better, but also for
the book. Now in this case with Walker, it seems
pretty definitive what direction they're gonna go with go into
the Jags being that meaning with other because and I
and I asked like, well, so during the draft are
(17:29):
these odds gonna be updated? And they locked in before
the draft? How does this work? And and some books
that want to gamble more with it, literally they're gonna
lock in those odds like three picks ahead of time.
So if you think about some of the future's bets
that are being placed right now or even in regards
to tonight, once this draft starts, depending on the state,
(17:51):
depending on the book. You know, you may be locked
into some of these bets, and you've gotta be careful.
Sometimes if you're out there laying down these bets and
expecting to maybe hedge or make adjustments later on, you
might not be able to. So that's the first thing
to be careful about. I think the the interesting thing
is is what are the odds for Aidan Hutchinson to
go to Detroit Because everyone everyone seems to think that's
(18:12):
a slam dunk with him being from Michigan going to
Michigan and the now Detroit needing an edge rusher, and
him being that next draftable, next best player available, I
would assume those odds have to be really high for
him to go to Detroit. Well, the odds for him
to go to Detroit at number two, he's sitting in
a minus one fifty uh and so he's kind of
hovering around where he was at yesterday. What's interesting, though,
(18:34):
is that Cavon Thibodeau has now a plus one twenty,
so he had to go to Detroit at number two,
So he's just behind Aidan Hutchinson. As far as what
the projections according to Draft Kings. If it's not Aidan Hudson,
it's gonna be Thibodeau going it too. But Thibodeau has
gained ground over the last twenty four to thirty six
(18:54):
hours as far as the odds go. So the most
fascinating part about that particular pick is, would you say
that Detroit lines need to quarterback? Um? No, I mean,
I think Jared Goff is serviceable for another year. Yeah.
I think with what he did last year, if they
just gave him more help out around him, he's capable.
(19:17):
Like he he is. We talked about how at the
end of the season, at least the regular season, he
statistically outplayed Jared Goff. I know that people don't or
excuse me U Matt Stafford and so I know people
don't like hearing that, but that's just the truth. Well,
because that's the season ended. Matt Stafford was the m
v P. What are you talking about? He was gonna
be the MVP of the league. What mean just just
(19:37):
it's the last five games. So the point is this is,
if you if you like a quarterback in this draft class,
and I know they have two first round picks, can
you risk not taking that guy? There? I mean, it's
a big question mark, and I think if you wanted
to move out of that spot, it would be hard
to do because I don't know. Is Carolina that concerned
(19:59):
about one of these quarterbacks getting away from them that
they need to move up. They don't have much draft
capital this year anyway. They have the number six overall
pick in the fourth round pick, So who else are
you looking at? Maybe Atlanta and they're saying, we don't
want Malik Willis to get past us. We don't think
he's gonna drop to us. We might have to leave
for aug Carolina. So maybe that's a potential suitor either
(20:20):
way you look at it. That's what's interesting about it
is if you're the Detroit Lions, yeah, you miss out
on the opportunity of getting one of the better edge
rushers in this year's draft class. But if you are
thinking that you're gonna get that quarterback at the back
end of the first round, it's a big gamble. You
don't know that he's gonna be there when it's all
said and done, sitting there at the back end of
the first round to get him. So I don't know.
(20:41):
I think that's the other interesting part about just how
tonight's draft is gonna set up. It's looking like the
draft is gonna start at the number two pick, whether
it's Touches Said or Thibodeaux, and then we'll see where
things go from there. Does it feel like to you
that maybe Hutchinson was almost like he was sitting up
the draft board for so long that it was we
(21:03):
had so much time to look at and people are
trying to find something wrong. They're just now that seems
too obvious, seems too easy, like and and and maybe
that's where Jacksonville goes. Yeah, but you know, we we
we want to make a splash pick. We want to
do something that's gonna, you know, maybe turn out to
be uh, you know, more boom than it is going
to be bust. And that's why they go with Trevon
Walker because Hutchinson has been the favorite to go number
(21:26):
one for a long time. Now it's been really quiet
on that front, and I'm hearing more and more maybe
this is just a what happens with the draft that
these guys at the top. We spend so much time
between the season to the combine and now the individual
pro days, and now we get to the actual draft
that now we're looking for stuff wrong with guys like that.
(21:46):
That's what it feels like with Hutchinson to where, man,
he was going to be the number one pick up
until what Monday, and all of a sudden, now it's
not happening. It's it's always how the draft goes, you know.
We we started to look at once these young men
in Ish college football. It's never about what they can do,
it's what they can't do, and we start trying to,
you know, pick away at them. I think one of
(22:07):
the most fascinating things about the difference between whether it's
Travon Walker or Cavon Thibodeaux or Aidan Hutchinson is there
they have all there's this narrative that's been created about
each one of them based on their tape or their
their you know, performance on the field. And as I've
said to you, I mean, Hutchinson has the best tape.
(22:28):
There's no doubt between those three players. If you were
purely doing it off that the Jaguars would just take Hutchinson.
But clearly there's other things that you have the factor
into consideration. You know, Walker, for example, played in a
really really talented defense where at times when you're watching tape, well,
Jordan Davis pops, Devantay Wyatt pops. You know, some of
the guys are gonna be more draftball next year. They
(22:49):
popped and it wasn't so much Walker, and that's kind of,
you know, some of the questions that I would have
if I was in that position making that pick is,
you know, there's and I said this before, there's the
there's the potential of that whole boom er bust with
this pick for Jacksonville. Because we talked about his size
and length and measurables and all that stuff. But where's
(23:10):
he gonna play? And if he plays out of position,
you know, three or four years from now, maybe Trent
Bulk is not there anymore. And you're getting comments like
Jerry Jones is making about Taco Charlton because in all honesty,
go look at the size of Taco Charlton, what he
looked like, and go go back and watch tape of
Taco Charlton out of Michigan and how they utilized him
(23:30):
and how you transitioned in the NFL. In my opinion,
he was a player that was kind of playing out
a position because of his size and what he was
being asked to do in Dallas and really, what you
know he's being asked with the NFL, he's he's he's
more of like a tweeterer from a dv end to
a three technique and that that's a tough position of
being as a player. And you look at that roster
in Jacksonville, that's what Walker's kind of looking like to me.
(23:53):
So I think the fascinating thing about all these guys
is we we get away from like what what football is?
Just playing football and we start nitpicking about, well, what's
his upside or Aidan Hudginson's a one hit wonder well, okay,
but cave On Tipoto has never had a year like
Aidan Hudginson his head, so what does that say about him?
And then then you see all these interviews, You're going,
(24:15):
how much does this guy love football? You know, like
if you started asking those questions. So it's fascinating that
that we start instead of looking at Aidan Hudson and
saying why can't he have upside? Like why can't we
say that what we saw this past year is just
the beginning of what he's potentially going to be as
an edge rusher in the NFL. For some reason, we
get away from it, and I don't know why. I'm
(24:36):
not sure if it's teams wanting to protect what they
think about a player and they send out this stuff.
It could be agents who manipulate the process. But the
whole entire thing is fascinating to me. I remember asking
Bucky Brooks, who was a scout for a couple of teams.
I said, what's the most important thing you look at
as a scout? He goes game tape, he goes in
specifically in big games. And if that's the case, just
(24:58):
look at what Hutchinson did against Ohio State, like or
Iowa for that, Like, I just i mean, if that's
the case, what am I missing here? Like this does
feel like the Georgia game. You know, he's two for
three and then the Georgia game was the one that
everyone points to and goes, well, he didn't really impact
that game. And my own responses, who did on their defense?
No kidding, who were you looking at on their defense
(25:20):
that day? That did? Versus Georgia, Like they had a
great game plan to eliminate Hutchinson. And you know, look,
I'm sure at the NFL level there'll be some similar
thoughts to that, and he'll have to grow in adjust
from it. But that's gonna be no different for Aiden
Hudson than it is for Cavon Thibodeaux or Travon Walker
anyone else that you know that's in that position. Now,
you asked, and you brought up the the comp as
(25:42):
far as the measurements go between Travon Walker and Taco Charlton.
All right, So here's what we got. Taco Charlton, Uh,
this is his draft profile six six two seventy seven,
thirty four and one fourth inch, arms nine and three
quarter hands for those of you out there that want
to make a joke about all those. Uh. And then
Trayvon Walker six five two seventy two thirty five and
(26:05):
a half inch, arms ten and three quarter hands. So
Taco Charlaton is actually taller and heavier than Travon Walker.
So the comp is pretty pretty accurate, as you pointed
out yesterday and brought up a few minutes ago, even
from film like. One of the things they asked Taco
to do during this time in Michigan was he moved
around a little bit along their defensive front. Trayvon Walk
(26:27):
was asked to do the same exact thing at Georgia,
and so the hard thing becomes in the NFL, you
kind of, I don't want to say, you end up
having set positions, because you do have to be versatile
at times along the defensive front. But if you're not
big enough and stout enough against the run, you have
to play down inside, it's gonna be a problem. And
that and that. You talked about the length of his arms.
(26:47):
We could say thirty five inches or something like alf
thirty five and a half, Like those are long arms.
That's typically what you want for a d N because
he's gonna be playing more out in space or on
the island with the tackle. You get down there next
to the guards, the center and all that. You know, Yeah,
you can have long arms like I used to. We
used to play against Trevor Price. He was a taller,
slender guy for the Baltimore Ravens and he was great.
(27:10):
But you know, when you're down in the midst of
of all that action, it's a different game. You know,
you're playing in short spaces. Things happen a lot faster.
It can be a tough transition. So that's all I'm
saying is I'm not saying that that toront Walker is
not gonna work out. Honestly, if things don't work out
for him has more to do with the Jacksonville Jaguars
that has anything to do with him. It is Two
(27:31):
Pros and a Cup of Joe here on Fox Sports Radio.
So we do have a more on the NFL Draft
coming up here momentarily, but for all the latest from
around the world of sports, we turn it over and
you guess a debut appearance on Two Pros and a
Cup of Joe. Welcome to the Dark Side of Sports
Talk Radio. Moncy Bolano's Jonas, it's so happy to be here.
(27:55):
Just you look at me getting names right here on
the show, and right now I can actually see you
from a reflection from another reflection. Right now, I can
see you, which is weird. That a good thing. Yeah,
you're wearing like a white teacher. It's just weird. I
never noticed the reflection off of all these windows that
I can actually see you right now, Jonas and Monter,
I feel like I've been misrepresented. It's a white v neck.
Oh excuse me, Oh, I apologize. I apologize. I don't
(28:18):
want to give bad information like the media that said
Ben Simmons was playing, so I'm so sorry. I apologize
and listen it's a d V. I stepped through the
caller to put it on. Look at you, Mr Fashion
at three thirty am Pacific time, six thirty am Eastern.
You have to realize on this show, we don't care
about Pacific time. It's I apologize, I apologize. I'm still
(28:43):
Pacific time in in me. I apologize. But yes, you're
so right sleeping right now. You're you're right. No, I
get that, and you fellas are right. NFL Draft Day,
big day today. A couple of things did happen in
NFL though. You know, Cardinals exercise quarterback Kyler Mary's if
your option for three? No surprise there. And then Darren
(29:03):
Waller was on CBS Sports Radio last night and he
said that the Raiders told him he's not going to
be traded, so that was all a big rumor. He's
not going anywhere. Derek Carr even tweeted, that's not gonna happen,
so apparently it was just a rumor. But two teams
in the NBA have officially been eliminated. The Milwaukee Bucks
finished the job and they beat the Chicago Pulls they
(29:24):
will not play against the Boston Celtics on Sunday in Boston.
And this is what head coach Mike Budenholzer had to
say about playing Boston. They're the hottest team in the league.
I mean, you just you'd have to be in a
cave to not know that they're winning every game and they're,
you know, the best defense in the league. That got
great players, great coaching, um, you know, but beyond that,
(29:44):
I don't have a whole lot to offer. That'll be
a good game to watch. And the Warriors eliminated the
Denver Nuggets one or two to Steph Curry returned to
the Warriors starting lineup and scored thirty points in the
Warriors victory. A lot in baseball happened, but the biggest
thing we had a grand slam hit by Taylor Ward
of the Angels as they beat the Guardians nine five.
Not only did he have a grand slam, he also
(30:05):
had a double and a triple. This was the angels
fourth straight win. Back to you, fellas, Thanks Monsey. It's

(32:12):
little over fifteen minutes from now. Um, if you heard
something earlier in the off season about a head coach,
don't worry about it. Somebody is offering up a vote
of confidence, and I think they should be very very
leery of that vote of confidence. We will get to
that here coming up about fifteen minutes from now on
FS are before we get to another edition of In
(32:33):
Case You Missed It. Speaking of the NFL Draft, we
are brought to you by one of our favorite cities,
Las Vegas, your home for live sports, and that means
all sports, every game, match, race, and competition. It is
always on. Now go on and plan your trip at
visit Las Vegas dot com to see the best and
the brightest in Vegas, the greatest arena on earth. Sometimes
(32:54):
you can't get to everything in the world of sports
or entertainment. Good thing, the guys are here to bring you.
You missed it and for that we turn it over
to our executive producer Lee Do Do Do Do Do
Do Do Digital Lap. That's right, fellas, And in case
you missed it, Vegas has rebounded nicely since the pandemic
(33:16):
and in uh in that Vein, Roxanne Price, who is
a sex worker at the Chicken Ranch brothel, has offered
her services to the number one draft pick, saying that
the NFL Draft is brought in quite a lot of
business and that you would like to show her thanks.
I mean, that's uh, that's something that's something. Yeah, you
(33:42):
don't have to I don't even know how to respond
to you know, listen. Um, it's flatter, Yeah, flatter, thank
you for the opportunity. Pass Now let me I'm not
trying to get you in trouble here, all right, that's
the last thing I don't want to do here. I
(34:02):
don't want to get anybody in trouble. But but who
would you think is most likely to take her up
on the offer? In the draft? You want to you
want to dive into that one. I am not. I'm
not going to touch that with a ten foot poll. Um.
Here's the thing is, I feel like that's a nice
gesture or offer. I don't know how legit it is,
(34:25):
you know, Like I I'm not saying that it looks
like it's gonna be Trayvon Walker, but if he you know,
looks to capitalize on it, like, is she actually gonna
hold up her end of the bargain? I don't know.
There's a lot of intrigue here, but that's as far
as ione to go on this topic. Do the offer
comes with complimentary limo service? Yeah, of course that I
(34:46):
promised to cater to their fantasies. And if they're too
busy this week, she says, it could be rescheduled for
a later day. Yeah. Yeah, that sounds like love. Man,
That sounds like love. Um, sounds consensual. Now here's here's
what I would say. Um, it is obviously a very
competitive workplace. Um with Instagram and all the other things
(35:08):
are out there only fans and some of the other
options that are there. Um, sometimes you've got to get
creative and a little bit aggressive. And it's like, you know,
real estate agents during the housing crash, they didn't want
to have to work on foreclosures. You know, you gotta
work a lot harder for less money. But guess what,
adapter die bro and uh, and she is figuring out
(35:29):
a way to uh, to stay in the game. And
if it means offering up some services to a number
one pick of the draft coming up, I mean, what's
the problem? You know, I get I feel like them.
Well yeah, well lamaro him, that's you know, he's he's
got other issues. There's there's all that. But I just
feel like, um, hey, you're good for her trying to
(35:51):
find another avenue to women at while they're at the
chicken ranch, motel or brothel whatever it's called. And by
the way, why is it called chicken ram inch? You
know what I mean? I'll tell you this much. Anybody
who smelled a chicken ranch because all the chicken poop
smells awful, You do not want to be around a chicken,
No kidding, But why not hog ranch or something like that?
(36:12):
Why chicken? I don't want to There's some chickens runner
on somewhere. I don't know, very good or cat ranch,
you know, I just feel like I would be more appropriate.
What else we got, Lee, make sure you tell Brady
what you just said. Burnout there it is Brady, good morning,
get three. I think the cat really covered that that category,
(36:36):
so thank you for that. You are unbelievable for it.
Out you are bellas In case you missed, a Massachusetts
family that's been living off of the golf course for
about four years was rewarded five million dollars in damages
uh after being pelted by golf balls over the last
four years, over seven hundred of them twenty six broken windows,
(36:57):
so much to the point where they stopped replacing their windows. No, no,
this can't happen. All right. Look, people, if you buy
a house on a golf course, it's on you. Get
better insurance. That's on you. That's your fault. Do not
this this cannot happen. I hope someone can appeal this.
(37:17):
Yeah there you God, the judge wasn't buying it though
they that was But the Indian Pond Country Club in Kingston,
Massachusetts was arguing, is that they should know. What do
you expect, dude? It's like people that live, you know,
on the ocean and then go, oh my god, it's
wet out here. Yeah, what were you expecting? Like people
that that live in certain parts of the country. Brady,
(37:40):
do your neighbors bitch about tropical storms or hurricanes when
they go buy or they just realize as it's part
of the deal. It's part of the deal. You want
to know. Honestly, what they do They go get a
bunch of booze and they sit inside their house and
they have a party. They have a hurricane party. Okay,
that's how seriously they take it. That really? I mean, yes,
(38:02):
you know, I'm from the Midwest, so I'm not used
to like a hurricane. We had tornadoes, which who wants
twister Helen Hunt, by the way, that might have been
the best Helen Hunt movie. Yeah, pek Helen Hunt. And anyway,
the point is we're gonna do with twisters and maybe
some large hail, like there wasn't a lot near you
(38:22):
overly concerned vibe. I've moved down to South Florida. I'm
going do this. Hurricane seem like they're a pretty big deal. Like, no,
just go get a bunch of booze, have everyone over,
have a party for the weekend. It's a fun time,
all right. Listen, people, I'll be obviously think that earthquakes
are pretty terrifying, like, oh my god. You never know
when they when they're about to happen. You won't know
how often I think about the next earthquake. Never all right,
(38:44):
if it happens, it happens. This is part of the deal.
You live in certain parts of the country and charged
extra for water consumption right now too. Probably you guys
got a lot of stuff going on, probably droughts, there's
you know, wildfires. Charge for everything. I saw some I
saw some report, yes that said a gas prices are
(39:05):
going down. Neat it was five seventy five a gallon
when I filled up. Prices all of it. Bad football teams, okay,
but but they're they're arrogant. They're kind of annoying, you know,
like it's it's kind of I mean you're at Petro's
talking about USC yesterday. I mean the rams are on
par like it's it's kind of over the top. Nobody
(39:26):
goes through their parades. They pretend that they're, you know,
this big lavish organization. Yet they their facilities at a
D three school in Thousand Oaks, California, which you have
been to, by the way, in the Hato five of
Southern California, big dontain Oaks fan that, Brady quinn Um.
I just look, you live in certain parts of the country.
These are the risks that come along with that. I
(39:47):
will say that you mentioned you saw tornadoes. Have you
ever seen a tornado in person? I mean no, I
haven't stood outside and said, oh look, mom, this tornado.
I said, why why do you get a sound like that?
I mean, like, who stands outside me? Thank you, verdo,
thank you? Who stands outside of watches tornadoes. I'm not
(40:09):
a storm chase, right, This is why I asked this.
You're gonna think I'm a weirdo. If I was not
doing sports radio, I would be in some part of
the weather business. I love the weather. I have the
Weather Channel on every morning here in the studio. Well, no,
it's not. That's for LaVar, not for me. And you
want to why, because my eyes work, that's why. And
(40:30):
uh and and I I love storms. I I want
to see a tornado before I die. I have to
see a tornado in person. I am fascinated by them,
by how they're created. So when you mentioned tornadoes, I
gave me a little bit of a rush because I
thought you'd actually seen one in person, just hunt twister
did utter up. Fox Sports Radio has the best sports
