hour nine am Eastern I am, six o'clock Pacific, if
you're looking for an update on uh, Deshaun Watson, we
(01:06):
got out there. There is no update. We'll hear from
Albert Brier to see when we can expect some sort
of a punishment handed down. Um, whenever the Hell's act
that's gonna be. Well, you've got a lot of people
out there who don't care about that, and they want
to hear some baseball talk or they want to hear
us talk NBA or college football or college football. Zach
(01:27):
Levine said to become an unrestricted free agent. Okay, there's
not really an update there, but he said to become one. Uh.
The salary cap increased in the NBA limp points six
million dollars an increased that I think the luxury tax
when it was that's up at a hundred fifty million.
Then the salary cap is gonna be like a hundred
twenty six something like that. I saw. So there's your
(01:49):
NBA update. I got I got stung Babby yesterday. Oh
my god, I wouldn't be Are you allergic? No? But
I was gonna find out if I was because I
was time. It happened stuck by being before how old man, welcome,
welcome man, and you've never been stung by it being
in your entire life. Welcome in man. So wait, what
(02:12):
was your strategy? Just try to avoid him at all costs.
Skin so soft, Nana, Nana, Grandma, grandmam, home home remedy deal.
I've just never been stung. I got stung yesterday and
they got heart pretty there hurt. Yeah, it's and it's
it's bothering me right now. Well, now, how did you
take the sting around? Did you try and pull it
(02:32):
out or did you scrape it? Because we pull it out, Yeah,
it didn't stand. Stand. That's such as bees out here
on the West Coast are different than what you No,
I would assume they're softer they and they have masks
on the I've removed, oh wow, and they bring their
(02:52):
own tow So it's maybe you are allergic that because
I'm allergic. Don't think I'm allergic. It just but it hurts.
It definitely hurts. So I mean it's very I mean,
of all the physical contact that you've had in your
life to be staying, you're gonna let a little bitty
(03:16):
be Yeah, it was a healthy. We were just talking
about exploding cleats right now. We're worried about like a
little Was it one of those like regular bees or
like one of those uh like african um the ones
in the africanuntry that hit the trop Roberto, kiss my ass.
(03:36):
That's not racist trying to say. You're trying to say,
is at my house African? That's not true. That's what
I'm trying to say that you're saying. When I moved
in there, I brought African by, did you? He said
it was sitting up on the stupid the forty That's
what I said. That's best. Yeah, look, I I mean,
(04:01):
I'm reading what's on the prompter here. Lee types this
stuff up. So you know I blame him for ten dollars?
What blamingly was passive aggressive? Well can we figure out
what charity is? By the way, can we can we
decide what charity is? We're gonna send stuff too. I
already got mine. I already know where I'm sending my
my donation for last month. You do, yeah, I'm sending
(04:22):
same jute. Okay, nice? Well now it's gonna be on
behalf of two pros and a cup of Joe. And
meanwhile they uh yeah, I'm not gonna say why Now
hold on a veteran's promise like that, are you are
you going to be accountable for all your fines, Brady?
I mean, because I do think, you know, the red
dump button should be part of your fine structure. I mean,
(04:44):
so you're trying to change it now. I figure if
that's the case, you owe at least a thousand dollars.
You know what's unfortunate is and Lavarre can attest to this.
Jonas controls the dump buttons sometimes, so he conservatively hit
the button and that's a little unfair. Hold on a second, Roberto,
don't do that. Do that? You both did it like
(05:06):
once or twice. Yeah, it's more or less. It's more
or less the Roberto. And then and then he does,
let me tell exactly what happens if something is said
the order and lights up. LaVar turns both our mics
off and says to Roberto, Hey, there could be kids listening.
Would you please hit the red button? And then we
(05:27):
come back on the air, and I'm like, I don't
think it was that bad. You're confirming that, Yeah that
you just confirmed that with Doberto. Yeah. Oh wow, see
I know not to ever do anything around y'all. Oh,
listen y'all. If y'all gonna make stuff up on me,
I know, not going to jail. That's the show. I'm
(05:48):
going to jail too. And Jonahs, No, it was LaVar.
It was LaVar. LaVar was a mastermind. LaVar did everything.
I'm telling you. It was Ye, it was him, all right, Okay,
now listen, you know we welcome to welcome to the show.
(06:08):
It's it's a lot of fun here, a lot of
a lot of shenanigans. Um. Now, we do need to
talk about the a c C being the latest conference
in college football to uh say, starting next year, we're
gonna get rid of the Division Atlantic Coastal. Both of
those are gone, which bas means who's Clemson playing right,
Who's two? I don't know. I mean, here's the good
(06:31):
thing is the format, the way they've created. You'll be
able to keep those robbery games within the a c
C UM because it's it's the three three five format
right with the way they've rotate, So you can keep
a couple of those rivalry games and that stays intact. Meanwhile,
you're still playing though, uh basically every team in the
conference at some point and what a three or four
(06:53):
year period, and you're gonna have the top two teams
face off for your conference championship, which I think is important.
You know, I I think you've you've gotten now that
the chance to ultimately leap frog another Power five conference
that still has divisions because you're gonna have the top
two teams playing off in your conference championships. So I
love this move. I think it's good for the A
(07:14):
c C. I think it's good for college football. Um
and honestly, like I don't know many teams that granted
I came from independent school, so LAVARKI speak to this.
I mean, the teams celebrate win in a division, yes,
I just do they okay because no conference. But I'm saying, like,
do they actually if you win your division, we don't
win your conference. It's like, uh, you know, and hell no,
(07:37):
you gotta win the conference, not the division. Like Ohio
State didn't even win their division and didn't go to
the conference championship game and went to the and went
to the playoffs and we did and we were sitting
at home, right and that's where I looked at that.
I'm like, that's not right. And got a ring for
winning the Big Ten and did Ohio State. No, they
didn't win that year, did they know? So the doors
(07:59):
beaten in by so they get their doors beating in
So they got no ring, they got no championship, but
yet the champion of their conference. But that's a whole
another conversation. But you know what I'm saying like that,
and so so Pack twelve, Mountain West, a c C.
Who else is getting rid of divisions as far as
(08:20):
it just like Big ten is also okay, So they're
going to I don't know that they officially have yet,
but they're going to. You know, it's interesting the SEC
hasn't you know. It's they haven't gotten rid of their divisions.
They're also going to have sixteen teams, so they they're
gonna have to keep them because they've got so many
damn teams in that conference. Um so uh. But again,
(08:41):
less than two months away, LaVar college football. Lesson two
months away, mom man, Hawaii Vanderbilt. I mean, I can't
wait to get into the nuts and bolts of that
match up here in front of about twelve. I'm on
the Vandy side on that one, by the way, So
I'm gonna go ahead and state that right now. Partly
his staff, my Man Barton, fitz Sims, all the all
the guys down there in Vandy. I'm on their side
(09:02):
of this day. So I'm rooting for Vandy. All right?
Uh well can you can you guys explain to me
where you fall on this subject. We talked about this
a little bit yesterday with petros Um and we are
people are joining us here on the blowtorch Am five
seventy l A Sports, the Home of the Dodgers. So
Freddie Freeman on the issue we had going back to Atlanta,
(09:24):
he was really emotional, and then there was this report
that he ended up firing his agent after this past
weekend in Atlanta, and there's just been this discussion about, yeah,
does he have some regret what happened with the contract?
So Doug Gottlieb, who you can hear on Fox Sports
Radio from three to six Eastern time noon to three
Pacific time here week days. Uh. Doug sent a tweet
(09:46):
out yesterday that Casey Close, who was was Freddie Freeman's agent,
told Freddie Freeman never told Freddie Freeman about the Braves
final offer and that's why Freeman fired him. He Freeman
found out and it Lanta this past weekend, and he
said that Close new Freeman would have taken the Atlanta deal,
which would have been less than the Dodger deal, and
(10:08):
so that's why he never told him. Well then, um,
the agency on behalf of Casey Close sent this tweet
out afterwards. It said, quote Doug gott Leave tweeted a
holy inaccurate characterization of our negotiations with the Atlanta Braves
on behalf of Freddie Freeman. We are immediately evaluating all
legal options to address the reckless publication of inaccurate information.
(10:31):
Uh so that this whole thing has taken a turn,
I just how the hell do you do you guys
find it possible that the agency because what why else
should Freddie Freeman have fired his agent unless he wasn't
told everything and found out from somebody else. And and
maybe this is coming from somebody who's never dealt with
(10:52):
an agent on a professional sports level, like wouldn't wouldn't
Freddie Freeman have maybe made a call to somebody in
the Atlanta front office saying, Hey, I know my agents
having conversations with you, but where do we stand on this?
To try and get some sort of clarity before you
made the move. It feels like you're usually not gonna
(11:12):
interject or or yourself in between your agent and the
team in those negotiations. I mean, you're hiring them for
a reason. If if you're really going to check on
your agent with the team that he's negotiating with, you
probably need to fire your agent or you probably don't
need an agent if you feel that comfortable about interjecting
yourself or checking on how that negotiations going right, Like
(11:34):
at least that's how I look at it. But you know,
this is one of those deals. And by the way,
it exists outside of sports. I mean, you could get
competing offers for properties, all sorts of things where you know,
maybe the seller wants to you know, sell it to
a certain buyer, and the broker or the real estate
agents like no, I obviously want to make as much
(11:57):
commission as possible, so you know, but but they have
to if they're representing you, they have to provide you
with that information. They are bound to it legally to
provide you with whatever offers are out there on the table,
whether they're below what you're asking for or below what
you want. In the case of Freddie Freeman and what
the you know, you know the Braves are offering like
(12:19):
for someone else, it doesn't matter. They have to tell
you that as your agent, as your representation. So that's
the tough part is, you know, I don't know how
much how many you know facts he has in all
of this because a lot of these conversations happen over
the phone. So it might be he said, he said thing,
But it sounds like if he was already trying to
check with the Braves, if that was truly the case
(12:40):
or whatever's going on, that he probably shouldn't have probably
should have fired his agents sooner. Yeah, it's it's weird
he would wait all this time too. I'm just curious
as to what the scenario is on on with like
what exactly are the type of legal action would you
want to take? Like is this the faming? Is that
what they're trying to say? And if that's the case, right,
(13:03):
that's a bad look for what are you what are
you looking to recoup from Doug Gottlieb saying what he said,
that's what are you trying to go after Doug? You're
trying to go after I'm not trying to go after Doug.
Are they trying to go after us and are they Yeah,
he said they're trying to go after Freddie. No, no, yeah,
(13:25):
going after We have read it again. So Doug Gottlieb's
tweet was Casey Close. Freddie Freeman's agent never told him
about the Braves final offer. That is why Freeman fired him.
He found out in Atlanta this past weekend. Close knew
Freddie would have taken the Atlanta deal and that prompted
(13:45):
the response from Excel Sports. Uh to Doug gottlie Yeah,
this wasn't to Doug gottlie This is a tweet sent
out in general saying that dub Gottlieb tweeted some inaccurate
characterization of our negotiations with the Braves and Freddie Freeman.
We are immediately evaluating all legal options to address the
reckless publication of inaccurate information. Scott Are Scott and Doug
(14:11):
don gonna gonna step up and help represent I think,
I mean, with as much as we've covered the Deshaun
Watson stuff, I think we should represent Doug. I mean, like,
I feel like we know the sort of the nuts
and bolts and ins and outs of the legal process,
and I'll do it. I'm more asking just in the
sense that this situation gets thrown our way. You know,
(14:31):
is Scott and don gonna step up and help help
protect us legally? Because if he's not, I am totally
changing the way I approached the show. Hey, Jonah said
it not me, It's not my problem. Clearly, I gotta
get out there ahead of it because you and Berto
(14:52):
will sell me out. Man like Jonah, Jonah and and
bertall definitely sell me out. Jodah and Berta, Berta. I
feel like me and Burdoh are cool, but Birda. So
we all need safe names, so Berna, Jonah, Lamar, Brody
(15:17):
and Uh and Lance. So what do we called Lee?
We call him Lance. Where we go with the roy,
we'll call Lee tyro Le Roy roy Le Roy right.
And then nobody knows that that Eddie's real name is Edmund.
They probably think it's Edward, so we just call him,
you know, call him Edward and don't think, oh that's Eddie. No, no, no, Eddie.
(15:40):
Why don't you go by Edmund? And I like it too,
I don't know. I want to be thought of as
more of the common man. I guess I hear you.
Eddie is all right. We are brought to you by
discover if you're valued, customers deserve a simple gesture of
a pre shation from your credit card company. And that's
(16:01):
why discovered matches all the cash back you've earned at
the end of your first year discover exceptionally common sense
when more discovered dot com slash match limitations apply. We're
gonna get the very latest on the Deshaun Watson saga.
Could a punishment be handed out in just a few hours?
We will have that for you coming up next year
on FS are be sure to catch live editions of
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn,
(16:23):
LaVar Arrington and Jonas Knocks week days at six am Eastern,
three am Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the I
Heart Radio. Two Pros and a Cup of Joe here
on FS are coming up later on this hour about
twenty minutes from now. We've got the b Q News
right now though we are joined by Albert Breer, senior
NFL reporter at the mm QB. You can get him
on Twitter at Albert Brier. Albert, what's happening? How's your Thursday?
(16:47):
How you guys doing just you know, hanging out? Uh,
what's going on? With Deshaun Watson. I'm I'm not even
gonna try and dices up or get pretty with it.
And what are we getting this punishment handed out? Where
do we stand on all this? Well, I don't think
the hearing is going to go past um the end
of the week. UM, and I my guests would be Um,
(17:08):
the arbitrator is going to take it under advisement and
deliberate for a little while. Like I know a lot
of people are pointing to um. You know this Friday,
it's like sort of the high holy day of bad
news dump days for the NFL, the Friday before the
four the July as when we might find out And
you know, I understand the history of it, but you know,
you have to understand that the person makes the decision here. Um.
(17:32):
You know the she's a seventy year old retired U
S District Court judge. I don't think she cares about
like the NFL avoiding bad pubusity here. I think she's
gonna make a decision once. She's gonna make a decision.
So maybe it comes the end of this week, maybe
it comes at some point next week, but you know,
she'll make her recommendation and I think as we've been
(17:53):
over UM, you know, the NFL's basically seeking banishment, which
is indefinite suspension have heard about which means he's out
for a year and you can reapply for reinstatement after that,
which is the maximum county UM settlement. Talks a couple
of weeks ago broke down because the NFL and system
not at least a year UM and Watson side is
(18:15):
looking for less than that. So that's sort of where
we stand. And you know, this week it's you know,
been the lawyers in the room, the NFL lawyers and
then UM Jeffrey Gessler on behalf of the NFLPA and
Rusty harden On behalf of of Watson making their cases
in front of the judge. Albert, Can I ask you
this because we're seeing reports from both sides about well,
(18:38):
the NFL is looking for a one year in definite suspension,
the NFL p A is looking for no suspension. That's
kind of obvious. There are on opposite sides here. There's
a rumor that if it was six to eight games,
the NFL has said, oh, there's not gonna be an
appeal there. If there was an appeal, though, depending on that.
You know, what is the recommended from Suell Robinson. If
(19:01):
I'm not mistaken that if there wasn't appealed by the NFL,
he goes back to Roger Goodell in that case, correct,
it does. He has a hen also appointed designate, which
is I think an important nuance here, Brady, because if
he doesn't want to involve himself, he can walk away
(19:22):
from it and just say I'm going to hand it
off to this person or that person and they're going
to make the final ruling. But yeah, I mean, he
has the hammer if he wants to use it, and
I think it's a little trickier than people may realize.
And that, um, yes, the NFL wants him out of
the league this year. The NFL wants him sat down
for a year. Um And their insistence on it has
(19:45):
led to no settlement. Is why we are where we
are right now. M But you know, I think there's
a big picture to look at here too, and this
sort of goes back to the NFL's failure in some
cases in the past. And you know what happened with
Ray Rice and Adrian Peterson, Greg Hardy back in two
thousand and fourteen. You know, and then I think the
Zeke Elliott cases relevant to just because of how, um
(20:07):
you know Zeke's owner, Um, the Cowboy's owner, Jerry Jones
Um basically reacted to that, which was Jerry felt like
Zeke was treated unfairly and went to bat for the
idea or when I came with the idea that like
the NFL should be less involved, not more involved in
cases like this, and the NFL has gotten itself in
(20:28):
so much trouble over the years that it should pull
back a little bit. Um. So let's set the stage
for the cb A negotiations in twenty which is where
they've changed the process altogether and worked with the union
to come up with something that everybody thought would be
a little bit more fair. Um. And I'm going through
all of that, and I know it's boring too a
lot of listeners out there, but I'm going to all
(20:49):
of that could illustrate to you guys that yeah, Roger
can step in and he can say even if say
Sue Robinson says eight games, Roger can step in and say, Okay, well,
I'm gonna hear the appeals, but at the end of
the day, I'm gonna make it a year. Anyway, the
problem is that that would undermine everything that they've worked
towards over the last seven or eight years to create
(21:11):
an equitable process and undermine what they negotiated UH two
years ago as part of b A. So I think
this one is actually kind of tricky. And you know,
if the arbitrator comes back with six games, eight games,
ten games, um, you know. I think Rogers facing what's
a trickier decision than most people realize as it applies
(21:36):
to everything that's going on. Eight games. I assume they
feel like you know Cleveland, that is they can get
through things and definite that's that's a whole another story.
And if I'm Stefanski and other coaches, I'm looking at
this like, look, we just paid out all this money
to bring in a guy to to hopefully be the
(21:58):
missing link to us a championship team maybe having a
season like Cincinnati did. If they get that year long
indefinite suspension, what does this mean for for Baker Mayfield.
I know they had a conversation with him before at
a different event, um, but what does that mean for
(22:18):
for Baker in terms of it didn't seem like he
shut the door on the scenario of possibly returning to
to the team. Yeah, I almost felt like LaVar based
on what he said that like, it just almost seems
like he reopened the door, cracked it a little bit. Um.
I mean, look like my information and has been pretty
consistently that this is for Baker, for Baker and the
(22:42):
Browns like the Bakers down with them and feel for
the way the Browns have handled this over the last
you know, four or five months. They've offered to take
on a significant chunk of his salary to facilitate trans
It's not like they were holding on him at an
insurance policy. They still have him on the roster because
they haven't been able to move him because of the
amount of guaranteed money he has due to him. In
(23:03):
two that said, I don't know, guys, I mean I
look at this and like, if it's six or eight games, okay,
Like I like, you know, it's way too awkward to
keep Baker on the roster and you can make do
with your copy were said. If it's a full year suspension,
I mean, like, like, can you tell me that Baker
(23:24):
isn't the best option for the team. And on the
flip side of that, if you're Baker, is there gonna
is there a team out there where you're gonna be
better positioned to play really well this year and maybe
set yourself up to start somewhere else in three and
get paid in tree. You know, I I think that
(23:44):
there's definitely a scenario. And again, like I haven't gotten
indications that this is going to happen, but I just
look at it logically, and if this is a full
year suspension, I certainly think, like, if you're the Browns
and Baker, you can look at this and say, the
best thing for everybody involved is for us to sort
(24:04):
of reconcile for a year, I guess, stay together for
the kids, so to speak, you know what I mean,
like and make it work this year. And because that
maybe the Browns contend two, because they've got a quarterback
they're familiar with, they're comfortable with, and because that maybe
Baker revitalizes his career. And by the way, Baker then
(24:25):
sort of looks like the bigger man too, you know.
So um again, like my information all along has been
that they're done and they're done with each other, and
everybody's moving on and everybody's and then that's that you know,
but like if this is a full year suspension, then
I could certainly see a scenario what logically it would
make sense for that it would be a reconciliation. Albert,
(24:46):
who's more tired of the Deshaun Watson topic. You are
the dog in the background, that is a nine year
old Australian Shepherd. And I'll tell you, guys, if you
ever like interested in getting a dog like that, because
they do not they do not grow up and calm down?
What was your thought process there? I mean, like, all right,
so like my wife rescue wife. No, no, no, no,
(25:11):
my wife. So my wife always had little dogs when
she was growing up. I always had big dogs. So
I had like Rhodesian ridge backs when I was yeah, verse,
So I wanted I wanted a I wanted a big dog.
She wanted a little dog, and Autie was a with
the compromise, it is sort of in the middle, you know.
(25:33):
And I mean he's a great dog. He's like smart
and all that. He's almost annoyingly smart, you know what
I mean, Like he can trick you and stuff. But
like the downside is where like I can remember what
my dogs growing up, having those really big dogs. They're
really hyper when they're young, but then they really calmed down,
you know what I mean, Like this autie there's been
(25:57):
Let me listen. Now you're you're on you're on vacation rights,
as everybody could hear in the background there, Yeah, we'ren't
a vacation. They's still a little bit harder for me
to escape to where whore you want to have the
parking or natural sound in the background. So I was
just I was hoping you'd be locked up in your
car like you normally do that. That's always the best,
that's usually the plan. Brand you got me speaking of
(26:20):
being on a vacation house. Let me throw this one
out at you. I know, I know Jonas is about
to hit you with one, but um Dan Snyder's continuing
to miss um these these Uh no, it's not can't.
I wasn't saying anything disparaging. I'm just saying I'm asking you.
(26:41):
I mean, first, he was system, well, the fine system is.
I think if I go on some type of long,
long diet tribe about how bad Washington is. But I
didn't do that here. I was I think about and
I think I was just asking. You know, he was
(27:03):
on if if the reports are correct. He was on
his yacht somewhere out of the country at one point
somewhere believe, and then he had another pressing situation that
did not allow for him to to do the you know,
the appearance as well the interview. What, um, how does
(27:23):
this end? Like? What do you what? What are what
do they get out of this? Like? What where can
this go? In terms of for the NFL and for
Dan Snyder? Yeah? I mean I like, honestly, Lavari, I
think that there are, um now a good number of
owners that are fed up with it and they think,
(27:46):
um what everybody else thinks that he's sort of a
coward and that he's trying to sidestep this and that
he's sort of threw the commission into traffic on this one,
which I think all that's true. Um, you know, i'd say,
what do you guys? I think I said it last week,
which you know is that like I do think, um,
there has been a subtle turn in the way that
(28:07):
the league is talking about him and handling his situation.
And I think we saw from the commissioner back at
the Super Bowl when I started talking about the process
for asking an owner and taking an owner's team away.
He'd never done that before. I can't remember ever hearing
him talking about ownership matters that way, you know. And
then she just last week, you know, in the in
(28:28):
the hearings that with the House Committee. Um, the fact
that like he basically positioned Dan Snyder's absence from the
organization's day to day operations of the punishment. Snyder's henchman
had been quietly pushing back against that notion for over
a year, and Roger has to know that. So, you know,
I think some of the stuff that we're seeing and
(28:50):
we have seen over the last six months, are signs
that if Snyder continues to skirt responsibility and conduct himself
this way, that they're going to keep doing things to
try to turn up the heat to try to get
him to sell a team. And um, wherever that threshold
is for him to sell a team, we know it's
really really high because everything that's already happened. Um. But
(29:11):
you know, I do feel like there are some owners
that are just fed up with having him around. They
don't want us to the precedent of voting one of
their own out, um, so they'd rather do it like
this way and kind of pressure him to sell Um.
Whether or not that threshold exists anywhere, I'm not sure
Albert can ask you this real quick, because we're up
against it. Um. I heard he was, you know, said
(29:33):
to be avoiding being subpoenaed. Um. My understanding of that
is he's like hiding in bushes. He's he's taking back
alleyways to get places. He's wearing those glasses with that
nose and the mustache when he goes out in public.
Is that the actual definition of what you're voting being subpoened? Well,
I don't know as long because like he's got a
(29:54):
captain's hat on. I guess this is all what is happening, right, Yes, Yes,
I think I think he's. I think he's somewhere on
the high seas right now, the s S philibuster, right,
just trudging to the Mediterranean. Yeah, maybe mid terms, right, Yeah,
(30:17):
he's he's sitting next to George Clooney somewhere in Lake Como. Yeah,
he's he's in a different part of the south of
France this week than he was last week. Right, So
he has he has other matters to deal with that
he had to deal with last week. Albert get him
on Twitter at Albert Brier Albert Briers, senior NFL reporter
with the mm QB. We appreciate it. Happy fourth to
(30:40):
you and the family. Enjoy the time off and hopefully
we'll have some sort of resolution next time we speak
on the Shawn Watson, Alright, happy is Albert Brier with
us here on Fox Sports Radio. He has worn the
hell out with us to Shawn topic. He's on vacation
with the family. That's what's worn him out. I mean
when he's got kids, who's been on a vacation that
(31:00):
definitely wear out. It's not a it's not a vacation,
it's a trip. It's it's a journey. Like you will
be worn out as a parent when you take kids
with you, So you might as well go to a
place that where's the kids out, so you get like
two or three hours to yourself. So actually like enjoy
even though it may be in what is a Lego
Land hotel room which looks to be a pirate ship
(31:22):
at that point, But yes, that would be that would
be the objective, very descriptive. Is that the recent trip,
but you would on or something I don't know, maybe
it is two pros and a cup of Joe here.

(32:47):
you into the the holiday weekend. Here, congratulations too. I
bet Jesus a gutty pick earlier in the show, but
he gets what a loser? Yeah, that's you know, I
think we're splitting hairs here a little bit. I'm just
trying to celebrate the winds of a frequent guest on
this show, that's all. I'm not that frequent anymore. It
(33:08):
doesn't come around too often. Um, right now, though, it's
time for the main event. Let's go to the news test.
Here's Brady Quinn. Oh yeah, a temper your enthusiasm. R Kelly,
(33:28):
Yeah yeah. The sentence came down. Thirty years in prison,
and uh, you know it's it's obviously no one unless
you're probably around his inner circle, understood what was happening,
what was going on, But um, you know, it's just
a crazy story. I remember listening to R. Kelly music
(33:48):
growing up. It doesn't quite hit the same now you
know when when you when you hear that stuff and
you see all what it transparred, what took place. So
that guy had a problem. Yeah that was still I'm
not saying had it still does probably, Um he one
of the stories I that was on that I think
the documentary, one of his victims he met outside the
(34:12):
courtroom that he was in court for another case. Like so,
even even in the midst of going to trial, right
outside of a courtroom, he goes and does the same
thing and picks up an underage girl and then starts
some sort of relationship. That guy's got problems, man, and
now he's got real problems for the next thirty years. Yeah,
(34:35):
what do you what do you think there? You know,
I just think that that's a one that I'm not
going to touch very good, so to speak, rightfully, So rightfully,
So let's move on, all right. We got hairdressers who
were fineds for double shampooing during a drought. It seems
(34:58):
a little bit unfair. Yeah, unfortunately, due to a drought conditions. Uh,
there is supposed to be a restriction on water usage.
But there are a number of hair salons which you know,
obviously people get their hair washed before they get them cut, Well,
they would you know, wash them before we get the cut,
maybe wash them after they would get find five twenty
(35:19):
two bucks because it was during a drought and obviously
they're using excess water. Oh my god, who's finding them?
The owner of the salon? No, it's actually the city.
This was in Milan, so may be surprising. Like, come on, man,
what are you supposed to do? Just walk around with
shampoo in your hair the whole time? Like some people
need a you know, an extra shampooing after they're done.
(35:41):
Do you believe in droughts? Like do you you actually? Okay? Okay,
Here's why I asked that. Here's why I asked that question. Uh,
the earth is what se ocean? Why do we have droughts?
You can't, you can't. You can't figure out a way
to get water into some of these places. Like I
just feel I feel like there's a lot going one.
(36:03):
You got all kinds of sewage, and saltwater is obviously
different from the racewater. Figure it out, filter it right,
one of those Brittas Walmart, I do think they're trying
to filter, you know, work on filtering saltwater. You actually
could drink it. But again, you've got all kinds of
pollution and trash and all kinds of craziness and and
(36:25):
the oceans these days, I mean, come on, like, you know, yeah,
a seagull with a with a beer bottle cap attached
to its tour So I'm not really freaking out about it.
Just get the water here so I can water my plane.
That sounds a tad bit uninformed. Jonas Jonas, I'm an
actually well, I think one of the more crazy things
it was was straws, Like every time I get a
paper straw, which the worst, the worst, they don't last.
(36:48):
You better drink whatever you're drinking fast before just disintegrates.
But it all, it all came around because of the
viral video of the straw being stuck in that turtles
no yeah, and you come to find out, yeah, this
isn't actually a real problem. There's not as many issues
with straws like that as that video would would portray.
And by the way, how do we know that turtle
wasn't trying to do coke? And that's why he had
(37:10):
that straw of his nose. And I'm looking for answers here,
I'm looking for answers theory is right. Now you're knocking
off Brony. You're knocking off important questions here, all right,
these need to be answered, all right, all right? You
know you guys know me, I like, I like always
(37:31):
like hearing about how people win the lottery. So there's
a there's a man in South Carolina. He's got an
actual strategy to this. Okay. His strategy was to spend
five bucks a week playing the lottery for three months.
All right. The first week he went five o her bucks,
which you know, if you if you look at the
amount of money spending per week, he's way ahead. And
(37:54):
his seventh week, you want a hundred thousand dollars on powerball?
Not bad, that's so. So fifteen hundred dollars through seven weeks,
I mean, or or you could just get it. No, no, no,
he's spending a week three months. Yeah, it's not even
(38:17):
that much. It's not even it's not it's not yeah,
I mean, or you could just get a job. Always works,
you know about working, Like, if you have a strategy
on winning, alatto, don't you have bigger problems? Why are
we crapping on this guy? For one? Because I don't
think he's reporting all his losses, you know, like live
at Jesus reports all his losses and owns it. This
(38:39):
Jesus doesn't win. How could you say that? I just
want to bet. Oh my gosh. Fox Sports Radio has
