Speaker 1 (00:03):
It's that time, time, time, time, luck and loud. The
Michael Berry Show is on the air. It's Charlie from
BlackBerry Smother. I can feel a good one coming on.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
It's the Michael Berry Show.

Speaker 1 (00:27):
Oh yes it is. And it's a good one today, folks.
It's a good news.

Speaker 3 (00:32):
Fright.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
Let me tell you something.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
I feel good right now on August twenty third, twenty
twenty four.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
This is.

Speaker 3 (00:44):
Not pride going before the fall. Because I am mindful.
I am very mindful. I've been around politics, particularly presidential politics,
for a very long time and seen it go south,
and I've seen how fast it can go south. Heck,

(01:06):
forty days ago, Donald Trump could have and by all rights,
should have been dead. A trigger was pulled, a gun
was aimed, an accurate shot, his head slightly turned. It's
hard for me to imagine where we would be.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
Today.

Speaker 3 (01:28):
It's very hard for me to imagine how I would
have reacted. You know, I've had people who've been the
subject the victim of violent crime, rape, muggings, different things

(01:48):
happened to them, and their discussion about how you react
differently once something happens, then you think you would.

Speaker 1 (02:00):
I don't know how I think I would have reacted.

Speaker 3 (02:05):
It troubles me. It really troubles me. Now, I don't
have people who's.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
A tired done gone at it. Okay, that's what you
would have done. All right, you haven't done it yet.

Speaker 3 (02:16):
There's been a lot of other things happened, but okay, yeah,
all right, Okay.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
What I do know is.

Speaker 3 (02:25):
That the assassination of a president is a very very
very disturbing specter in a nation. It is instability when
you need stability. It is the idea that your entire culture,
political structure can be shattered in one fell swoop.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
It's horrifying, frightening, disturbing.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
And if there is a man who can understand.

Speaker 1 (03:08):
What that's like.

Speaker 3 (03:11):
Better than any other American alive I can think of,
it is Robert F.

Speaker 1 (03:16):
Kennedy Jr.

Speaker 3 (03:19):
Whose father was murdered in a kitchen in California when
his campaign for president for the Democrat nomination was catching fire.

Speaker 1 (03:35):
The same.

Speaker 3 (03:37):
Man Bobby Kennedy, whose brother five years earlier had been
shot and killed. And we've seen that video. You've seen
that video a hundred times.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
If you're not.

Speaker 3 (03:51):
Even a newsviewer, most of us have seen it a
thousand times. We have been exposed to that a thousand times.
The deep psychological scarring that has occurred to the American
psyche from these assassinations cannot be underestimated, particularly older voters.

Speaker 1 (04:19):
Who remember.

Speaker 3 (04:22):
President Reagan's shooting. You know, they weren't taking him immediately
to the hospital. The bullet actually went in between when
the door was opened. The bullet actually went in between
the hinge the door and the body of it, and
they didn't realize and when it lodged, he very well

(04:45):
could have died. The symbolism of Robert F. Kennedy Junior
running against Trump, the symbolism of Robert F. Kennedy running
against a Democrat party that is so different. You know,

(05:05):
I played an audio clip this morning of Bill Clinton,
and I'm going to play it again a lot between
now and the election. And it was Bill Clinton talking
about a legal immigration destroying this country. And it was
from nineteen ninety five, and I had people shocked. I
can't believe he said that. Oh, you can't believe he
said it. Well, how about Harry Reid, the Senate Majority Leader,

(05:26):
the guy who was Chuck Schumer before Chuck Schumer. Oh,
how about Barbara Jordan speaking at the Democrat Convention in
ninety two. The symbolism of all of this is not
lost on many Americans. The Democrat Party has changed so dramatically.

Speaker 1 (05:43):
When Robert F.

Speaker 3 (05:44):
Kennedy ran for president, the Democrats spent, he says, tens
of millions of dollars keeping him off the ballot.

Speaker 1 (05:50):
Last night he takes himself.

Speaker 3 (05:52):
Off the ballot in Arizona, where he had struggled so
hard to get there, Keeping him off the ballot in
New York to the state of his residents, his practice.
He has professional licenses there. It was a canoe license,
all sorts of things. The guys a New York resident,
you keep him off the ballot. There the deep connection

(06:15):
these men feel.

Speaker 1 (06:18):
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. And Donald Trump.

Speaker 3 (06:23):
The day President Trump was shot in the face, he
called Robert Kennedy that night, and we know it because
Robert Kennedy. They were doing a documentary on Robert Kennedy,
and Robert Kennedy's documentarian did not turn the camera off
and he had the phone on speaker phone.

Speaker 1 (06:43):
Trump didn't say anything wrong.

Speaker 3 (06:46):
The symbolism of today, the symbolism of Robert F. Kennedy Junior,
first running against Biden and the Democrats refusing to have
primaries because he would have beaten him or challenged him.

Speaker 1 (07:00):
He would have exposed Biden for who he was.

Speaker 3 (07:03):
And then the coup once they get Bien to the
finish line that they replace him with Kamala who they
said they didn't like in the first place.

Speaker 1 (07:12):
And there's Robert F.

Speaker 3 (07:13):
Kennedy out there talking about things like the COVID vaccine
is not a covid, it is not a vaccine. His
family has been affected by false pharm of promises and
death and profits. And today, the day that the Democrats
should have been enjoying a convention bump, their freak show

(07:34):
was put on display.

Speaker 1 (07:36):
And now here we are.

Speaker 4 (07:38):
Ladies, make yourself useful and grabbing your fellow or girlfriend,
averell pop and top. It's right around the corner on
the Friday Drive Hall edition of The Michael Barry Show.

Speaker 3 (07:50):
Everything the left does is designed to demoralize you. It
won't matter what you do. You can't make a difference.
There aren't very many.

Speaker 5 (08:00):
Any of you.

Speaker 3 (08:00):
You're a left out, a leftover, your marginal e're a
racist stay out. The exact opposite is true. The nation
is ready for change. Get out there and get one
person registered, and then we'll get one person to vote.
This is a great week. The Democrats blew it at
their convention. Trump is peaking. This is fantastic, folks. I

(08:22):
want you to be fired up about this. We have
been talking about and I spent a lot of time
on the Morning Show on this, how the second generation,
how effeminate, we beta whatever the term you want to
use is of Tim Waltz and Doug Emaw and Dana

(08:45):
Bash said, well, that's okay.

Speaker 1 (08:47):
Low testosterone men have a real role model now.

Speaker 2 (08:50):
They are doing so in trying to put forward male figures,
Kim Walls being one of them.

Speaker 1 (08:59):
Doug m Hoff last night, who can speak to.

Speaker 6 (09:03):
Men out there who might not be the sort of
testosterone Leyden you know, gun toting kind of guy who
wants to listen to Paul Hogan and the kind of
players that came out at.

Speaker 2 (09:19):
The RNC or might want to listen to that. But also,
in addition, understand that it's okay in twenty twenty four
to be a man comfortable in his own skin who
supports a woman. And that's something that they really are
kind of work on with mail voters.

Speaker 1 (09:37):
Beyond debate whether.

Speaker 3 (09:39):
You like Project twenty twenty five or not. It came
out of the Heritage Foundation. It's not part of the
Trump agenda. And in a rare case of actual fact
checking by CNN, they debunked the lie being told by
Democrats that Donald Trump is the author of it because he's.

Speaker 7 (09:59):
Not of this claim from Congresswoman Lisa Blunton Rochester of
Delaware about Project twenty twenty five and former President Trump,
he has with.

Speaker 6 (10:09):
His friends set the quiet parts out loud, but not
only set him out loud.

Speaker 8 (10:16):
He wrote a book about it.

Speaker 9 (10:17):
What's it called Project twenty twenty five?

Speaker 1 (10:23):
That is false.

Speaker 7 (10:23):
Trump did not write Project twenty twenty five. The project's
big policy document, published by the Heritage Foundation think tank,
lists dozens of people as authors, editors, contributors.

Speaker 1 (10:34):
Donald Trump is not among them.

Speaker 3 (10:36):
I was going through audio earlier today and don't think
I ever shared this. I had tagged it as being
Kamala with really weird answers, So forgive me if you've
if you've heard it, because by the time we get
to the show, I've listened to audio that day so
many times. But this was Kamala Harris on the view

(10:57):
the hen party. She was asked about the economy, and
I want you to listen to what she does. She
hits all the Democrat talking points abortion, gun violence, voting rights,
but never the economy. So I'm sorry that you folks

(11:18):
are struggling out there financially.

Speaker 1 (11:21):
But the answer is, oh abortion.

Speaker 8 (11:24):
Voters want to hear about issues affecting their lives, like
the economy and the border.

Speaker 1 (11:29):
Shouldn't the campaign be pivoting on its messaging.

Speaker 5 (11:33):
So there's no doubt that one of the first issues
that anyone will think of is the issue they think
of when they're at their kitchen table trying to pay
their bills, which is how is the economy treating them?
So there's no question whatsoever that that is an important
issue which we have been in the process of addressing,
and we still need to do more. I would not
separate that from the issue of what is at stake

(11:57):
in terms of hard democracy, and frankly, I think most
people don't think of it in the context of democracy
as much as freedom. The freedom of a woman to
make decisions about her own body, the freedom to love
who you love openly and with pride, the freedom.

Speaker 1 (12:10):
To be able to be free from gun violence.

Speaker 5 (12:13):
These are fundamental freedoms that are at stick right now,
the freedom to have access to the balance.

Speaker 3 (12:18):
I'm not sure where to put this one. I just
don't want to forget it. I tagged this audio going
back and listening to the various things.

Speaker 1 (12:26):
I don't know if she's drunk. I don't know if
it's pills. I don't know. It's not normal.

Speaker 3 (12:32):
This is Kamala Harris with the We will continue to
work together, working together, Okay.

Speaker 5 (12:44):
Especially true when it comes to the climate crisis, which
is why we will work together and continue to work
together to address these issues, to tackle these challenges, and
to work together as we continue to work operate from
the new norms, rules and agreements that we will convene

(13:06):
to work together on to galvanize global action. With that,
I thank you all. This is a matter of urgent
priority for all of us, and I know we will
work on this together.

Speaker 3 (13:19):
The number one issue for Americans right now is inflation.
The number two issue is the border. When Kamala Harris
was running for president in twenty twenty against bidenklobacharbudagig, you
name it, she was asked how she would fix the
immigration system, and I want you to listen carefully to

(13:42):
the woman who was supposedly the borders are and now
claim she wasn't.

Speaker 1 (13:47):
Want. I want you to hear what she says.

Speaker 3 (13:50):
I guess this is what inspired Sleepy Joe to name
her the borders Are.

Speaker 1 (13:55):
She was asked, how do you fix.

Speaker 3 (13:57):
The immigration question the immigration system, and her answer, what
just here it is.

Speaker 10 (14:05):
I know you've been following the issue closely. We know
we have a outdated and broken immigration system. A lot
of folks are looking to the next president to not
only hopefully talk about this issue in the right way,
but actually have specific steps to address our broken immigration system.

Speaker 1 (14:25):
If you're a president, what would you do? Yeah, well,
let's start byte.

Speaker 5 (14:29):
I'm going to just start with you know, little just
let's put us in contact where contexts context. We're in
San Diego, California. In California, one in two Californians was
born outside of the country or has a parent who
was born outside of the country. Raise your hand if
you're part of that statistic.

Speaker 11 (14:51):
Right.

Speaker 5 (14:53):
So, the reality that we all know, but clearly some people,
including the current president of the United States, needs to
to learn, is that this is a country that was
founded and built by immigrants. Unless you are native American
or your ancestors were kidnapped and brought over on a

(15:15):
slave ship, your people are immigrants.

Speaker 1 (15:23):
So let's speak that truth. Let's speak that truth.

Speaker 5 (15:30):
And the fact that we have a president of the
United States who is clearly a racist, who has clearly
been motivated by speaking to the lowest common denominator, has
been so busy using what should be the most powerful
tool of the president of the United States, because you know,

(15:51):
when she holds this microphone in her hand.

Speaker 1 (16:00):
Lot she can accomplish.

Speaker 5 (16:02):
There's a lot she can accomplish by setting perspective, by
elevating public discourse, by reminding people of the accurate version
of history of this country, and by helping people have
a vision of the future in which they can all
see themselves. But instead, the current occupant of the White

(16:23):
House has used this in a way that has been
about beating people down instead of lifting people up. But
we are better than this, and we are going to
help him get out of the White House and go
back to his reality television show or wherever he came from, because.

Speaker 1 (16:45):
He needs to go back. He needs to go back.

Speaker 12 (16:49):
We hear at the Michael Berry's shield believe that a
grown ass man or a lesbian woman should be able
to pop a cold beer on the drive.

Speaker 1 (16:57):
Home on Friday, pretty good drank and big.

Speaker 3 (17:06):
What's the area's President Trump has struggled is old white
Democrat voters who are too proud to vote for Trump
even though they realize this country's going to hell under
a Democrat party that is way different than they did.
The Jews had to meet in private at the Democrat
convention for the first time ever.

Speaker 1 (17:27):
Well, then leave the damn party. Good grief.

Speaker 3 (17:32):
The Kennedy Democrats need to vote for Donald Trump. I'm
telling you, folks, this has been a good week. We've
spent a lot of time in the last few days,
even weeks, talking about inflation, and that makes me happy,
because that's how you win this election.

Speaker 1 (17:50):
You got to focus.

Speaker 3 (17:51):
You got to narrow your focus, an attack on the
grounds where you have the stronger position. The Inflation Reduction Act,
or American Rescue Plan as it was called, did not
lower inflation, nor was it intended to. It was the
most massive governmental giveaway of my lifetimee They paid the

(18:16):
consultants and the unions and all the groups that would
come back and support them in twenty twenty four. But
in so doing, you increased the inflation necessarily has to.
You've heard what we've played of Milton Friedman. You know
how this works. We've talked about how the Democrats took
money out of Medicare for seniors and gave it to

(18:39):
young people to buy electric vehicles.

Speaker 1 (18:41):
That's a fact.

Speaker 3 (18:45):
Recently, Kamala Harris said she was proud to cast the
deciding vote for the bill that did.

Speaker 5 (18:53):
That two years ago as Vice president. I was proud
to cast the tie.

Speaker 1 (18:58):
Breaking vote that said.

Speaker 5 (19:04):
That can't Medicare of the power to negotiate and let
it get to the President's desk. And I was proud
when our President Joe Biden signed that.

Speaker 1 (19:13):
Villain j along.

Speaker 3 (19:15):
One of the problems Kamala Harris is gonna have that
she's gonna have to answer for if she ever actually
does real interviews with real journalists will be how that
deciding vote has hurt every single American. MSNBC talked to
a twenty year old black woman who wondered why she

(19:36):
was in such in a hurry. She wondered why she's
in such a hurry to be an adult If it
was going to be like this, This was not what
he was cracked up to be.

Speaker 1 (19:44):
I'm twenty years old.

Speaker 9 (19:45):
Why is the one bedroom apartment six hundred dollars sixteen
hundred dollars? Like, oh my god, square foot brient prices
is outrageous. And then these jobs, there are bare minimum jobs,
like I'm supposed to be in customer service. Before I
was a server, I was working at like fast food
restaurants and nothing against them, loved it, but we need
them jobs. But why were you yelling at me over

(20:07):
a burger? So it's just one of those type of things.
It's like the work life, trying to balance off school,
trying to balance out finding housing. It's just overhyped, Like
I really waited my whole life to grow up and
do this.

Speaker 3 (20:18):
It's amazing how fast these stories get dumped. I was
going through some audio you remember very recently where Kamala
Harris tried to pander to an audience in Atlanta with
her black Southern accent.

Speaker 1 (20:36):
I guess that's what she was trying to do.

Speaker 9 (20:38):
And you all helped.

Speaker 5 (20:39):
Us win in twenty twenty and we're gonna do it
again in twenty twenty four.

Speaker 3 (20:44):
And then she did it in Detroit Michigan with the
different black Novemba.

Speaker 1 (20:50):
We're going to do it in Novemba. Who is this person?

Speaker 12 (20:53):
Hold on?

Speaker 11 (20:54):
You know what?

Speaker 9 (20:55):
Here?

Speaker 1 (20:56):
Hold on, here's the thing.

Speaker 5 (20:57):
The court's are gonna handle that. We're gonna beat them in.

Speaker 9 (20:59):
No, we'll beat him in.

Speaker 1 (21:05):
No, we'll handle that.

Speaker 3 (21:07):
The Democrat media tries to paint Tim Waltz as a
centrist and not as a progressive or communist. But you
know better, and so does Tim Walls. When Tim Waltz
was asked before he was running, are you a progressive
or you a centrist?

Speaker 7 (21:28):
Here's what he says, Governor Walls, are you a progressive
or are you a centrist?

Speaker 1 (21:33):
I'm a progressive.

Speaker 3 (21:34):
Kamala Harris has been playing the victim card over the
criticism of Tim Waltz's stolen valor. He is also stolen
valor in saying he was the head coach of the
team that won the championship, when in fact he was
an unpaid coach because he couldn't be hired. He was
an assistant coach. He was a volunteer because he couldn't
be hired because of his criminal record. But jd Vance says,

(21:58):
there is a victim here, and it's not Kamala Harris,
and it's not Tim Walls.

Speaker 13 (22:04):
Tim Walls said that he carried a weapon in war.
He never went to war. Tim Walls said that he
didn't know his unit was about to deploy to Iraq,
when even his own press release at the time said
that he knew exactly that. Tim Walls claimed to command
sergeant major, even had it printed on his challenge coins,

(22:26):
and he knew he never achieved that rank. And now
Kamala Harris, showing terrible judgment, has decided that her way
out of this political problem.

Speaker 1 (22:37):
Is to claim that she and Tim Walls are the victims.

Speaker 13 (22:41):
I think the victims are the veterans who are having
their service disparage because the guy wants to be their
vice president is lying instead of telling the truth. I
think those are the real victims of what Tim Walls
has done. Every single person standing with me has sacrificed

(23:03):
something for this country. Some of us, like Brian, have
sacrificed more than most Americans can possibly fathom. But every
single one of us honors every veteran for their service,
whether they went to war or not, so long as
you did what this country asked you to.

Speaker 1 (23:17):
Do you deserve to be praised for it?

Speaker 13 (23:19):
You deserve to have what this country promised to you
actually given to you.

Speaker 1 (23:23):
This is not about disparaging.

Speaker 13 (23:26):
Anybody's services, including Tim Walls. This is about disparaging the
dishonesty and asking Kamala Harris, why are you showing such
poor judgment by standing by a guy who insulted our veterans.

Speaker 1 (23:39):
And lied about his service.

Speaker 13 (23:41):
If Kamala Harris wants to lead this country, if she
wants to lead the millions of active and reserve service
members and the millions of veterans on top of it,
she ought to stand before the media and answer why
Tim Walls lied and why she's now tried to say
that he's the victim that we are somehow attacking Tim
Walsh's service. That's what takable HERA says that we're attacking

(24:05):
his honorable service. We're not attacking his honorable service, We're
attacking the disodysty about that service.

Speaker 1 (24:12):
That is not honorable.

Speaker 13 (24:14):
That is the height of dishonor, and Tim Walls should
not be the Vice President United States because of it.

Speaker 12 (24:19):
Celebrating the grown ass working man and lesbian woman or
Friday drive home on the Michael Berry Show, you were
scripting this election for.

Speaker 3 (24:31):
Our victory, you would want the Democrats to be as
freakish and as creepy and as weird as possible. You'd
want an eighteen foot tall vagina out front. You'd want
Yasser Arafat costumed crazies breaking down the barriers and screaming
at the cops. You'd want Tim Walts prancing around like

(24:52):
Richard Simmons. You'd want Doug him Hoff to be as
weird as you imagine. And by golly, they did it.
They did it. It's a great week, folks. Let's go
into this final ready to win, because I am fired
up about it. We spent a lot of time on
Kamala Harris. I want to focus some time on what

(25:13):
President Trump has been saying. He said, we need to
look at what's happening in Europe as a warning, and
this is so very true. Muslim refugees have taken over
the once great cities of Paris and London and you'll
never get them back. If Harris and Walt's win. This

(25:34):
happens in America, and there's no doubt in my mind.
Look at Mogadishu, Minnesota, Look at how Tim Walls pandered
to the Muslims in his state. Trump said, there will
be no Jihad coming to America under Trump, but.

Speaker 11 (25:54):
We must declare that without hesitation, that what happened to
Paris and to London, have you seen what's going on
and what happened to Europe will never happen here. But
it is happening. It is happening. They say that going
to the Democrat convention next week are going to be
hundreds of thousands of people that are opposed to Israel.

(26:19):
It's a big problem, that's their thing, and not even unbelievable,
but hundreds of thousands they're projecting right now. Hundreds of thousands.

Speaker 5 (26:28):
That's a lot.

Speaker 11 (26:29):
We will not let aghead. There will be no Ghid
coming to America under Trump.

Speaker 3 (26:35):
Captain President Trump also pointed out that Kamala Harris wants
to be in charge of the US economy, but neither
she nor her running mate has ever held a private
sector job. She's held things for Willie Brown, but she's

(26:56):
never held a private sector job.

Speaker 11 (26:58):
Kamala Harris wants to be in charge of the entire
US economy, but neither she nor her running mate has
said they're the beauty, isn't he He signed a bill
he wants tampons in boys bathrooms.

Speaker 1 (27:16):
I don't think so.

Speaker 11 (27:23):
But they've never held a private sector job in their
entire professional careers, and it's no wonder they're both socialists.
They're actually beyond socialists. I think they skipped over socialists.
That's why I think when people find out, because.

Speaker 1 (27:37):
You don't know who these people are.

Speaker 11 (27:38):
I think when people find out who they are, I
personally don't.

Speaker 1 (27:41):
Think they could do well in the election. They've destroyed
this country what they've done.

Speaker 11 (27:45):
When you look at San Francisco, what happened. And she
was the one that started it years ago. She was
a district attorney. Then she was the attorney general of
the state of California. California is a disaster now now
Gavin Newscomb hasn't helped very much, but it's a disaster.

Speaker 1 (28:02):
She was the one.

Speaker 11 (28:03):
This November, voters are going to give radical liberal Kamala
Harris the opportunity to try something new, a real job
in the private sector for the first time in her life.

Speaker 3 (28:14):
Let me just pull this out of the random file.
Apparently recently at a Trump campaign stop. Now we're just
a little over a month since the man was shot
in the face in a completely preventable assassination attempt, and
at a Trump campaign stop in North Carolina, a Secret

(28:39):
Service agent left her post. She's guarding the president without
permission to breastfeed her baby. There are so many things
wrong with us. Number one, Trump was just shot in
the head. Number two a Secret Service agent abandoned her

(29:04):
post a month after her protective was shot. Number three
Why does she have her baby at her campaign's top?
What are we doing here? Well, Michael, you know mothers
have to breastfeed. Maybe mothers can't be professional quarterbacks, and

(29:27):
maybe mothers can't be a Secret Service agent while they're
breastfeeding and the president's being shot. How about if that
offends you, then piss off, because yes, I am prepared
to say that. Are we sending warriors into war with
a baby suckling their teeth? I hope not. This is

(29:53):
no place for a breastfeeding mother. She just pulling out
right there. Oh, somebody shot the president. Well, Linda, we
can't get Linda's she.

Speaker 1 (30:07):
Not through yet, the baby's not done yet. This is crazy.

Speaker 14 (30:12):
The Secret Service detail that's guarding former President Donald Trump,
So this is coming from Real Clear Politics reporting that
a female Secret Service agent abandoned her post in North
Carolina to breastfeed her baby during Trump's visit yesterday to
the thar Hill State. The report says about five minutes
before Trump's motorcate arrived, the side agent, who manages security

(30:34):
for the entire event, did a final sweep of the.

Speaker 15 (30:37):
Location, and while walking the route, the side agent reportedly
found the Secret Service special agent in question breastfeeding with
two other family members present in a room that's supposed
to be set aside for official business, like an emergency
involving the president. The report says the special agent did
not have permission to leave her post and gave no
warning prior to the event that she needed person time working.

(31:01):
Secret Service agents are prohibited from bringing children or any
family members for that matter, on a protective assignment.

Speaker 14 (31:08):
All right, Still working on clarification and details on this.
That coming from the reporter for RCP, and it comes
about a month after what many considered to be the
biggest Secret Service failure in recent American history, the assassination
attempt on former President Donald Trump at Butler, Pennsylvania. For details,
National correspondent Alana Austin just got a response from the

(31:28):
Secret Service spokesman on this.

Speaker 1 (31:30):
She joins US Live on Capitol Hill with this story.
Lana Hi, Good.

Speaker 8 (31:34):
Morning, Sean and Emma. And certainly, as you mentioned, there
were really just weeks out from the attempted assassination on
the former president, and we heard from a whistleblower if
you will accounter sniper saying he was worried there could
be another attack eminently as all of these campaign events,
the calendar intensifies here leading up to the November elections.

(31:56):
And here's the response I just received from the US
Secret Service spokesperson. It is saying all employees of the
US Secret Service are held to the highest standards. While
there was no impact to the North Carolina event, the
specifics of this incident are being examined. Given this as
a personnel matter, you're not in a position to comment further.

(32:17):
So there were many alarming details of this report that
first broke from real clear politics about the family members
on site. Of course, just minutes before this event is
really supposed to get underway, a Secret Service agent apparently
breaking numerous policies and protocols. I've asked the US Secret
Service if they could clarify whether all the details of

(32:39):
this report are accurate and at this point in time,
we are waiting for further clarification
