Speaker 1 (00:03):
It's that time, time, time, time, luck and load. So
Michael Varry Show.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
Is on the air.
Speaker 3 (00:19):
The Fox News Decision Desk can now officially project that
Donald Trump will become the forty seventh President of the
United States.
Speaker 4 (00:47):
He indeed.
Speaker 2 (00:51):
Happy d dy do.
Speaker 5 (01:00):
When he was.
Speaker 2 (01:03):
When does.
Speaker 4 (01:08):
Away?
Speaker 1 (01:15):
So yesterday afternoon, ramone and I met Jonathan Kim, who
is Russell at Borrow's Number two and runs the operations
of all the Gringos Empire is steadily growing and improving
by the day. And we were talking about leadership and
(01:36):
one of the things, you know, neither Russell nor Jonathan
can be at every restaurant all the time, ensuring that
the food is delivered on time, as ordered, correct tempt,
proper recipe with a smile. You know these are these
are these are It's an operational nightmare. You can't imagine.
(02:00):
I mean, think about when you have people over for
a meal, all the prep that goes in and then
all of the work to get it out on time
and then clean up. And imagine if you had to
do shifts of that, but more importantly, that's you doing it.
Matter if you had to hire someone else and instill
in them a sense of pride a sense of ownership
(02:21):
when they don't own it, when there's another job waiting
around the corner. It's a labor market today. Think about that.
That's a challenge. So we were talking about he was
talking about he had done a deep dive into their managers,
and Russell's always taking them on trips. He'll take them
to Las Vegas, he'll take them to the super Bowl,
(02:42):
and he's always spoiling them because they're the people that
are going to you know, that's where the rubber hits
the road. He'll take his assistant managers, take his general managers,
take shift supervisors. He'll take these big, elaborate trips where
he gets to spend time with them and talk about
the culture and on them. So Jonathan was talking about
the challenge of the hospitality industry is the number of
(03:03):
hours that you spend. So you know, for the guys
that are for the men, one of their struggles when
they come together, he says, you know what's bothering you
most well, my wife says, I'm never home on the weekend.
So he started doing this thing called a four day rap,
which is Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday. You'd be off and
that might not sound like a big deal to you,
(03:25):
but in the hospitality industry, getting your weekend off is
a big, big deal, and so they do that every
whatever it is, fifty five days, it ends up being
I can't remember how many times per year. But we're
talking about leadership, talk about how to instill leadership, and
he was saying that that's where he's spending more of
his time now than ever before, not sourcing products or pricing,
(03:47):
instilling leadership so that his general managers and shift managers
and assistant managers are leading, so that when you walk
into a Gringos or a Jimmy chongas, it's as if
Russell or Jonathan was there, because everything is buttoned up
and wonderful, because you're going to notice the difference. So
he pulled from his pocket a piece of paper that
was that was folded over and it said great leader,
(04:15):
and it was I counted fourteen on one side and
fourteen on another, which was twenty eight, which is too many.
And I am having a blast poking at Jonathan at
this is what old people used to do. You know,
this is what your papa would do. He'd pull something
out and it was in his wallet, and you see
this right here, This is my rules or leadership or
you know this. If you'd say, he'd say when are
(04:37):
you going to do this, this or this, and you'd say, well,
when I get around to it, Papaul. Then he pulled
out a little circular deal that said to it on
when there's you round to it. You know, those days
in the era of the phone, that is a computer.
People don't carry around things in their pocket anymore other
than my friend Michael Robinson, who carries about forty items
(04:58):
so that he's prepared at any moment to kill a
bear or rebuild a house out of what's in his pockets.
So anyway, here were these things, and he had a
bunch of them, and they're folded up, and I said,
pap Paul, you've got to stop this. I said, but
let me see it. So I started reading it and
there's fourteen on one side four and there's twenty eight
things on there. So I said, that's too many. You
(05:20):
got to drill this down to three. And he said, oh.
So while we're talking, Ramone takes the list takes a
photo of it. I don't know how he does this,
because I don't know how to use AI, but he
uses one of the AI programs, so chat GPT is
that what you use. He takes a screenshot and he
tells it to synthesize that down to five things, and
(05:41):
it did. And then I said, well I don't like those.
I said, let's let's drill it down to one. And
Ramone's drilling it down to one, which AI was not
able to do, was lead by example. Everything he said
in there be a great storyteller, motivate people, listen to people,
(06:05):
listen to your employees, listen to your customers. The twenty
eight things were all when you got right down to it,
it was what to do and how to do it.
It was lead by example. I got an email from
a fellow named Drew Gilbert and he said, great E. C.
Mackenzie quote, juvenile delinquency would disappear if kids followed their parents'
(06:28):
advice instead of their examples. I think what Trump has done,
which is the first time we've seen this in a
very long time, is he has led by example. He
didn't have to tell you that he is resilient, that
(06:50):
he is courageous and brave. Hen had to tell you
that he got shot in the head and he stood
up and it's just fist and said fight, fight, fight.
That is the example that Americans want. That is what
the best among us do. They fight, they don't run high,
(07:15):
they don't make excuses. That's why he won. Doris, I
cut you off, sweetheart. You got a minute and a half.
Go ahead, it's all you.
Speaker 5 (07:24):
Yes, Hey, we won. And Michael, I love your show.
And I have to say that honestly, I called in
last week or so about being garbage.
Speaker 6 (07:35):
Well, because I am, but I'm probably saying that I.
Speaker 5 (07:38):
Am garbage, you know, and but I'm not recycled. I'm
not recycled garbage.
Speaker 2 (07:44):
I love it.
Speaker 7 (07:45):
We won.
Speaker 4 (07:46):
I mean, America is going to come back. I mean
we're going to be.
Speaker 2 (07:50):
The America I grew up in.
Speaker 6 (07:51):
Mike.
Speaker 2 (07:52):
I just.
Speaker 5 (07:54):
Makes you a static.
Speaker 1 (07:57):
It should it should because we care. Let's get one
more in here real quick before the break. Caleb, you
got forty eight seconds gop, Yes, sir, H Well, I.
Speaker 6 (08:10):
Want to say that. Yeah, I'm in a fog. I'm
still in a shock of belief. I mean, I can
believe it, but I can't believe it at the same time.
And I just want to say Father, God, thank you,
and partake our president, mister forty seven, but heavenly angels
by the blood of Jesus, Thank you, Father God.
Speaker 1 (08:31):
Amen, Amen. A lot of you asking about the House
of Representatives. Republicans have had two clear pickups. According to Bloomberg,
Republicans are leading in twenty five races. We're at two
oh three there at one eighty eight. Of course, the
magic number is a majority of four thirty five, which
(08:52):
would be two eighteen. We need to pick up fifteen
more to have a majority, and we're ahead in twenty five.
Proverb now quoted by Sheila Jackson lean I die the
Michael Barry shoe.
Speaker 3 (09:17):
The Fox News Decision desk can now officially project that
Donald Trump will become the forty seventh president of the
United States.
Speaker 4 (09:28):
I could see it like breaking me and my parents apart,
because they just don't get it, and they don't get
that they voted for someone who's gonna make my friends' lives.
Hell Miley's okay.
Speaker 1 (09:44):
A white woman, but the friends are not gonna mut
We may not.
Speaker 4 (09:56):
Have rights tomorrow. Everybody I'm going to bed last. Everybody hurt.
Speaker 2 (10:11):
Some anyone else helping them out down.
Speaker 1 (10:15):
I don't know how to do this.
Speaker 2 (10:16):
I don't know how to wait.
Speaker 4 (10:18):
I'm so stressed.
Speaker 2 (10:19):
How you can't look out into the world, into the
people of this country and see what's happening, and how
a heart we're all fighting for rights not to be
taken away from people. I go from hysterically crying one
minute over the pain of this situation, and then hysterically
(10:42):
crying the next minute.
Speaker 1 (10:44):
Everybody, well, you got to get screwed sometime in the middle,
otherwise you wouldn't keep getting pregnant. So let's let's not
leave that part out. I just looked at a chart.
In twoenty twelve, Pocrats had just a smidge above sixty
five million votes nationwide. That was Obama over Romney in
(11:09):
twenty sixteen, almost to the vote, the exact number of
votes for the Democrats in twenty twenty four, almost exactly
to the vote, the same number of votes across the
country for the Democrats, each of them just above sixty
(11:30):
five million, and something happened in twenty twenty they ran
up over eighty million. Eighty one. They've never done it before,
obviously haven't done it since we had a record Republican
vote of almost seventy five million. Trump had more votes
(11:53):
in twenty than he did in twenty four, just over
seventy one last night. So what happened in those four races,
three of the four Democrats had almost exactly the same
number of votes. And then in twenty twenty, this guy
(12:15):
with dementia falling over on his bike, pooping everywhere all
over himself, whose son is a crackhead who left his
laptop out somehow got over eighty million votes. No, it
didn't happen, and that's why it's important that you not
say that it happened. That's why it's important. The very
(12:35):
thing that scares them most is to have to confront it.
So you're a bad person for bringing it up. Back
to positive, Michael, Back to positive, Katie, writes Czar, This
is like leaving an abusive relationship. I feel lighter. Many
have written how the cultural how the current cultural milieu
(12:57):
is so much like an abusive relationship. Regular Americans don't
know what's true, gaslighting and syops everywhere. We're constantly saving
bits of information here, scraps of evidence there, anything to
keep tethered to the truth against the lies. My stars,
(13:20):
But that's so accurate, and now I can breathe I
can feel myself relaxing in places I didn't even realize.
We're wound up. Oh happy day. Indeed, that's from Katie Dimples.
That's brilliantly written, concise, succinct message. They're constant. We're constantly
(13:46):
saving bits of information here, scraps of evidence there, anything
to keep tethered to the truth against the lies. Wow,
it feels like living through COVID, doesn't it. Linda Wrights,
(14:06):
did you see John King explaining to Jake Tapper why
Trump was winning in rural areas? It was as if
we were a national geographic study of an endangered species.
I loved seeing Tapper's face whilst King was speaking. It
was as if Tapper wanted to throw up hooray, Oh
(14:28):
happy Day. And Texan rights Z are a couple of
quick Astros bits. Number one, believe it or not. Back
in the day, the Astros gave away full size baseball
bats as a promotional item, and no one used them
to kill each other. Number two, What do astros great
Bob ASPERMANI have in common? What does Astro's Great Bob
Astmoney Aspromonte have in common with baseball legend Babe Ruth?
(14:52):
Answer both of them hit home runs for sick boys,
they visited in hospitals. ASPERMANI hit ten year old Bill
Brad a Grand Slam in nineteen sixty three. I used
to get emails from Bob ask Permoni's wife. I think
it's Mary Beth. She's a socialite and now beautiful woman.
(15:13):
I don't know how old she is, but she's glorious.
She's aged, very well well kept woman. Shall we say,
But she used to send emails. I hope she's okay.
I haven't. She hasn't sent an email in a while.
All Right, to the phone lines we go. Let's go
to Jay on the black line. Since black men voted
twenty three percent for Donald Trump, so you get all
the credit as a black man, Jay.
Speaker 7 (15:35):
I appreciate it.
Speaker 4 (15:36):
Mike.
Speaker 7 (15:38):
One thing last night that really stuck out to me.
And you know, it's a cold day in hell when
Carl Rove makes sense. Him and Juan Williams got into
it last night. And I'm sure you're familiar with Juan
Williams and how he is, but basically one Williams tried
to make this like Abott massage, and you know, just
(16:01):
other cliches in dealing with black men. But Carl Road
made a lot of sense, and he basically, you know,
just to sum it up, black men work for a living.
They have families, their husbands, their fathers, and he shut
it down. But the biggest thing through waut this whole
process that and I've talked to other black men, one
(16:23):
thing that really pissed a lot of gods off was
the fact that Obama finger waved, he finger waved and
talked down like we were his, you know, like he
was our and daddy. And that was bob whether you black, white,
you don't talk down to a grown man. That's just
that did it. And so I hope, which I doubt it,
(16:48):
it's gonna be a lot of self reflection, a lot
of self reflection, and so I pray to God that
now that this is over with, that we can all
just as a country move forward and try to make
a better future.
Speaker 1 (17:06):
Very well, said Jay, And you're absolutely right. I think
that moment more than any other Obama saying you ain't
black in a Joe Biden way, and you don't like
women if you don't vote for this idiot. I think
(17:27):
that kind of patronizing attitude. I think a lot of
black men particularly are understanding Malcolm X's edict that you
cannot trust the white liberal. The white liberal wants you
with a chain around your neck like a pet to
(17:49):
trot you around. They want to own you and control you,
but they will not free you. And the white liberal
is not the black man's friend. And I think a
lot of black men especially understood that and reflected that
this time. I think a lot of black men are
(18:10):
tired of being treated like they're idiots or criminals, or
some sort of exotic pet to be controlled, or some
pitiful sad thing. I think a lot of black men.
I think about RJ on the Black Line, who runs
his own business and drives his vehicle, and he's a
good husband and as a good father. I think I
(18:33):
see so many of these black men who say, stop
putting me over in that category. I'm just like you,
I bust my ass, I work hard.
Speaker 6 (18:39):
Treat me like that.
Speaker 1 (18:40):
This is the Michael Berry Show.
Speaker 8 (19:17):
To every citizen. I will fight for you, for your
family and your future.
Speaker 9 (19:23):
Every single day I will be fighting for you, and
with every growth in my body, I will not rest
until we have delivered the strong, safe and prosperous America
that our children deserve and that you deserve.
Speaker 8 (19:45):
This will truly me the golden age of America.
Speaker 6 (19:49):
That's what we have to.
Speaker 1 (19:54):
This is a magnificent victory for the.
Speaker 9 (19:57):
American people that will allow us to make America great again.
Speaker 1 (20:07):
Jim writes Czar. A lone lady about sixty years old
waived a flag, a pink women for Trump flag at
a busy Baton Rouge intersection on our way to school
yesterday morning. She brought tears to mind. I hanked and
(20:31):
waved to her. Make incandescent bulbs great again. I started
the show talking about Starr County in South Texas. It's
the most amazing thing I've ever seen in studying elections
(20:51):
in my lifetime. Trump It's the most Hispanic county in
the country at ninety seven percent. It's demographers study this
(21:11):
and these are Mexican American. These are not Cuban Americans.
Cuban Americans will vote Republican Mexican Americans not so much.
Not so broadly. Trump won Star County, almost entirely Hispanic
county in South Texas on the Mexican border, by sixteen
(21:33):
percentage points. That's a wallop. In twenty sixteen, he lost
that same county by sixty six zero percentage points. That
is a seventy six point electoral swing in eight years.
(22:00):
That's not hype, that's not marketing. They didn't know him
in twenty sixteen. They only knew what the Democrats told him.
Eight years later, they had four years of him as
president and four years of him being convicted of felonies,
shot in the head, kept off the ballot, and look
(22:22):
what they did. Star County is a story we should
pay attention to. Frank Fleming, one of the guys I
follow who looks at the numbers pretty hard, said, for
all you folks claiming that Texas is becoming blue, here
are five deep blue states that are closer to becoming
(22:43):
red than Texas is to becoming blue. Illinois, New Jersey, Connecticut, Oregon,
and New York. Mitch Little, new state representative who was
involved in the Ken Paxton defense, wrote, while we were
we're all waiting on the presidential results, the Texas Republicans
(23:03):
completely formatted the hard drive on appellate jurisprudence in Texas.
Dallas and Houston's entire courts of appeals were just swept
to Republican without exception. There is no way to overstate it.
This is monumental. I should tell you friends that we
(23:23):
also picked up some Republican judges here locally, Yes, we did.
We rejected the four point four billion dollar HISD bond
his D bond debacle boondoggle. The last numbers I had,
I'm sure there are updated ones. Dan Simons was barely
(23:44):
trailing Sean tier Or Harris County District Attorney fifty point
eight to forty nine point two. That's just twenty thousand
votes separated them. So the Democrats will will likely win
that seat. Ed Gonzalez, the Republican sheriff, up over Mike
(24:05):
Knox in what was still a close race. Steve Raddock
barely losing the race for county tax Assessor Collector to
Annette Ramirez. In the judicial races, we actually won some
of those. Lee Catherine Schuckart beat Frederica Phillips seven thirty
four to seven hundred and fifteen thousand. Imagine if we had,
(24:28):
if the Republican Party had put candidates in every race.
We cannot ever let this happen again, that we have
seats that go unfilled. Sonia Aston beat the Democrat Geral
n Mayner fifty point two to forty nine point eight.
Michael Landrum, Republican district judge candidate, defeated Nicole Perdue not
(24:53):
only three thousand votes, but that's all it takes. Bruce
Bayin beat Ursula Hall fifty one four nine, again another
Republican pickup. Emily Muno's to Toto beat Robert Johnson the
Democrat fifty one forty nine. Nathan Millron, Republican beat Elaine
(25:14):
Palmer the Democrat, just by four thousand votes, but that's
out of a million and a half votes. Winning by
four thousand votes. Don't let anybody tell your vote doesn't matter.
Michelle Unkin, Republican beat Alison Jackson Mathis Democrat fifty to
fifty one forty nine. Aaron Burdette, Republican beat Vivian King
(25:36):
seven twenty five to seven nine.
Speaker 8 (25:39):
And Terrell Tarrell.
Speaker 1 (25:41):
Patel, who was making up fake Facebook posts along with
dumb Dum jpor kp George was handily defeated by Commissioner
Andy Myers. That precinct had been redistricted like what Rodney
did to Cactus Jack Cagle to make it a Democrat precinct.
Andy Meyers winning with fifty nine percent of the vote
(26:02):
to that fraud Terrell Patel's forty one percent. I'll tell
you who deserves some credit and won't get it except
for right here, right now, is a young man by
the name of Wayne Dolchiaffino who did the definitive piece
on Teraroll Patel and dumb dumb KP George and all
the fraudulent Facebook posts and why that's a crime to
(26:25):
do what they did. Go look at dol Chaffino Media
or del Chafino Consulting's website, and just look at some
of the stories he does. That guy's doing some of
the best journalism in the country today.
Speaker 7 (26:38):
Story tung Am Michael Bay good shoga on Dulblump.
Speaker 1 (27:03):
Michael.
Speaker 8 (27:07):
Just a few short days ago, my journey with you
nearly ended.
Speaker 1 (27:12):
We know that, and yet here we are.
Speaker 8 (27:15):
Tonight, all gathered together talking about the future, promise and
a total renewal of a thing we love very much.
It's called America.
Speaker 5 (27:26):
We live in a.
Speaker 8 (27:27):
World of miracles. None of us knows God's plan or
where life's adventure will take us. I want to thank
Franklin Graham for being here Tonight's an outstanding man. He
wrote me a note and recently I have a lot
of respect for him, Sir. I love your storytelling. I
think it's great in front of these big rallies. But sir,
(27:48):
please do me one favorite. It won't make any difference.
Please don't use any foul language. I was a little embarrassed.
I said, he said, get any different?
Speaker 1 (28:00):
Actually does.
Speaker 8 (28:01):
The story is not quite as good, but I've been
very good.
Speaker 1 (28:05):
The story is not quite as good.
Speaker 9 (28:06):
To be honest, I've got to have a little talk
with Franklin. But he was great. He's a great gentleman.
His father was so incredible.
Speaker 1 (28:13):
Billy Graham. My father used to love thanking me to
see billygram.
Speaker 9 (28:19):
My father would take me to see Billy Graham at.
Speaker 8 (28:21):
The Yankee Stadium, yet the biggest rallies you've ever seen.
Speaker 1 (28:25):
He was a good rally guy too, but he'd get.
Speaker 8 (28:28):
Up and he was a fantastic guy. My father loved
Billy Graham. But I love Franklin Graham. I think Franklin's
been fantastic, and I'm trying. I'm just working so hard
to adhere to his note to me. I'm working hard
on it, Franklin.
Speaker 3 (28:44):
But if the.
Speaker 8 (28:44):
Events of last Saturday make anything clear, it is that
every single moment we have on earth is a gift
from God.
Speaker 4 (28:56):
Oh great.
Speaker 1 (29:04):
Gray then says.
Speaker 2 (29:19):
To the.
Speaker 4 (29:24):
How great.
Speaker 1 (29:45):
If you voted? Pat yourself on the back, if you
block walked, if you worked for a campaign, if you
made phone calls, if you wrote a check, even if
you regretted it, because they wouldn't stop texting you. Pat
yourself on the back. So many talks, so few do.
(30:10):
If you are a doer, I may not get a
chance to say your name on the air, but pat
yourself on the back. Should be proud. You should be proud.
The wrong with being proud of an accomplishment. It's easier
to do nothing and just complained. But you didn't do that. Megan, Megan,
(30:30):
you're on the Michael Berry Show. Go ahead, sweetheart, good
to talk to you again. Tell you that before you
did not are you Meghan with an h or no age?
No age?
Speaker 5 (30:48):
Just the easy one?
Speaker 1 (30:48):
M E g An? How old are you so?
Speaker 5 (30:52):
I am thirty two?
Speaker 1 (30:54):
Yeah, that's about the Megan age. There's about a five
year span. There's a bunch of Meghans, none before, none after.
Speaker 5 (31:01):
I think I think the craziest one I've ever heard
was M E.
Speaker 8 (31:06):
A g h e A N.
Speaker 5 (31:08):
I was like, your mama didn't like you much, did she?
Speaker 1 (31:10):
Well, I think Megan Kelly is m E G y N.
Speaker 6 (31:15):
I've heard that.
Speaker 4 (31:15):
Yeah, I've heard the wise.
Speaker 1 (31:16):
Yeah, yeah, I'm pretty sure that's how the hers is spelled.
You think you like Megan Kelly. I think she's hot.
Speaker 6 (31:23):
I do too.
Speaker 1 (31:23):
But you know, as I've gotten older, I don't like
women to be so skinny. I used to when I
was younger, but now I think a little. I like
a little wear and tear. I don't mind some wrinkles.
I'm not doing any pushing ramon and the cushion is fine.
I like some curves I've got as I've gotten older,
you know, I guess you know we're if you do
(31:46):
twenty three and me. We all have a percentage of everything,
and I, you know, my two or three percent. Black
Black guys like some curves on their women. They like
they like a lot of curves on the one. I
ain't that far, but I like a little. I don't
like the you know that bony teenage boy look. I
like a woman to have a little I'm gonna talk
to Megan about maybe just putting on a couple of pounds.
These might be too lean. Yeah, uh no, anyway, what.
Speaker 5 (32:10):
Do you have, Megan, I was gonna tell you, I
uh have been amazed. I know you don't have a TikTok,
but I do. And the absolute love that has been
pouring in, especially over the last few days from like
(32:32):
not only our citizens, other countries has been commenting on
all of these videos. We are praying for you. We
are you know, from Poland, we are praying for We
are praying for a victory for Donald Trump, the Netherlands, Greece, England,
every like everywhere, all the continents. It is amazing. So
(32:55):
I know you don't see it, but I wanted to
let you know this is a world why victory.
Speaker 1 (33:01):
Oh I do see it. Modi in India is delighted
to restore relations. It's a major trade partner of ours.
Net and Yahoo Bibe was very clear, we're ready to
get this war. We're ready to punish. Mary Tally Boden
posted something on Twitter earlier and she said the nation
(33:24):
cannot heal until people are held accountable. And I agree.
I think there's some terrible things that have been done
that are going to have to be punished. They should
be punished. It's important. I don't think you can simply
turn the other cheek and walk away for wrongs that
were done. I do think you have to pun There
(33:44):
has to be accountability. People have to know there are
consequences for your actions. I do believe that. I believe
that heartily. Channel thirteen in Houston on their Twitter feed
posted a picture of a woman that looks kind of
like alex Andrea a Cassio Cortes, and it says, how
to cope with post election day stress. I'm not stressed.
(34:10):
You know who's stressed. A bunch of twenty and thirty
something single women who sleep around and get pregnant and
need constant abortions, who are mad at every man in
their life, who nobody wants to marry because they're self
centered and promiscuous, who think they're the greatest at everything
(34:32):
and they should be the CEO of the company, who've
been handed everything. A bunch of younger versions of Kamala Harris,
and nobody respects them and they don't know why because
they run around acting like rabid dogs, sleeping with everything
around and talking about how they hate children and love abortion.
(34:54):
That's the only people angry. They're all in therapy today.
They're going to spend the whole day in therapy and raging.
They're so angry and tearful. Get a hold of yourself,
take control of your own life. Stop blaming Donald Trump
for your daddy issue. Stop sleeping around all the time,
(35:14):
and maybe guys will respect you and someone will want
to marry you, and you could actually be happy. Because
I can tell you from men's perspective, that's what they're
looking for. You're gonna end up old, childless, and miserable.
