swept the elections of a local school board. Four conservative
moms elected to the Conroe school Board. The story from

board elections. Four more conservative moms were elected, including Mary

went and served as a volunteer to learn, to build

did not know her. We had a mutual friend, and
I'm trying to remember who it was, but anyway, she
was a part of that fire with Ironbill Dowling there
at Hillcroft, the Indian dude that burned his restaurant down

in front of that hot Sheet motel right there southwest
of Hillcroft on the on the south side, and they
showed up to what later turned out to be a
clearly staged event with the intention. I think there were
accelerants used, a lot of things that the firefighters could

not have possibly imagined, could not have possibly imagined. I
want to go back because the Trump victory is fantastic,
but there are a lot of victories happening across the
country that that we need to pay attention to because
I want them to expire to inspire more victories. Y'all

born women from none of them transitioned. I love the
idea of mommy's on the board, conservative mommy on the board.
And I will tell you that the superintendent, who I
don't know are the administrators, have already asked them to

go to lunch and tried to explain to them, hey,
we unders because this happened to me. You know, we
understand what you have to say when you're out there campaigning,
but this is very, very complicated, and we want to
warn you we're not don't don't. Don't source me on this,
but some people within the education hierarchy are concerned some

of the things you said could put us in violation
of our state and federal funding. Oh really, yeah, it's okay,
you didn't know. I would just advise you. You know,
we're we're excited, excited to have you on the board.
I would just advise you don't make any more statements

or promises because state and federal law is very strict
on what a school board member can do and what
they can say, and it could get us in a
lot of hot water. So if you promise that you're
gonna shut down, you know, transitioning of kids into school,

and I listen, I'll tell you, I'm an assistant superintendent.
I will tell you I think I think we could
we could we could bolster our policies, we could make
them more robust. And you know, I'll tell you I'm
new to the district. I've only been here for eighteen years.
I will tell you that what that we need, we

do need more community engagement. Do we need committees to
review some of these things and make sure that we
have complete buy in and community. Yes, absolutely, and we're
gonna do that. Okay, you've got my commitment. We're going
to do that. What I don't want is for you
to go out and speak to, you know, some of

these homeowners groups and some of the chambers of commerce
and things and make promises on things like Trump and
nothing against Trump. Don't get me wrong, I'm not criticizing Trump.
But you get out there and you make a statement
that you meant as harmless it came from a good spot,
and then we are potentially subjected to state funding or lawsuits.

You know, this is one of the things. You know,
we're going to catch you up to speed on your
new board member orientation, but there are a lot of
lawsuits and now you are in an official capacity as
a school board member, and I know the last thing
you want to do is get the school board in
legal trouble. And of course they can go after you personally.

So what I would suggest is enjoy this victory, you know,
start preparing yourself reading about education policy. Uh. This is
going to be a really really in re a ching
time for you, and I think you're going to enjoy
your service. I just want to make sure you're aware
so you don't accidentally make a mistake and get us,

get the district, the kids, or you in trouble. Because
I can assure you this. We're all working together, and
I think this is exciting. I think it's exciting that
y'all blew out the school board members that we we've
kept in place, who've given us pay raises and allowed
us to get away with whatever we wanted and never

questioned us once. I'm excited that y'all went behind our
backs and got all the parents to excited to elect y'all.
I think this is going to be a great time.
I mean, I'm really looking forward to you questioning every
single thing that I do because I'm corrupt and I've

of Defense is the most fired up I've been about
a cabinet secretary and certainly a defense secretary in my lifetime.

to go to two Ivy League schools, and they're trying
to say, oh, we never heard of him. The establishment
and media are saying we never heard of him. Who
he is the fact that you never heard of him

making it happen. But don't get lost in all these
great national stories and missed the local stuff that's happening,
like the Conrod isd that has just elected four women.

to tell you from a personal level. The fact that
you would be willing to do this, to put yourself
out there to be criticized, to be gossiped about, to
take time away from your family, to risk losing. I mean,

people forget that that's a big deal. To get out
there and work your butt off, which is what it
takes to win a local elections are the nastiest kind
of elections. And the fact that y'all would be willing
to do this the biggest congratulations ever. Now, I want
you to change the whole world in your job, but
you've already done something amazing. I'm so incredibly proud of you.

And so there were three of y'all on the board
or four of y'all on the board already.

you got your person over here that's going to represent
but just people that are elected for the purpose of

true service. You've got to have more mommies because everything
we do, we've let government get out of the hands
of what matters most, which is what the family unit.
And it's been a voice that has not been heard
from enough. You just bring different things to the table.

and rebuild this thing into a glorious temple of education,

Wow, that's there's no way to do that, because we
all came with a passion for all of our students,
and every one of us has seriously come in with
a list already of priorities.

Well, I will say that Nicole is strong, very strong
in the advocacy for special ed and dyslexia, and she's
already doing that and has caused a lot of change
in the state of Texas with the Handbook for Dyslexia.
So I think that's going to continue, and I would
say Marianna is on uh already serving and working with

other districts and stuff regarding the discipline issues, those were
both of those things were concerns of ours for Melissa
uh Duncan, Tiffany and myself. But they they we had
our hands tied because there were only three of us
and that we were outvoted on everything. But those are
two that are going forward. I'm Lindsay is all over
(29:50):
the finances and educational outcomes. Smiler is all over educational outcomes.
And Melissa and Tiffany and I have been going strong
on Title nine and policies that are set in place
to protect our children. But I can't tell you too,
I mean, I mean, there's been a whole bunch of them.

So and going forward will be I mean, are you
should Our desires are grand, it'll be, and our mandate
was huge, So I'm looking forward to seeing what we
can all get done together.

Well, you understand there will be pushback. There are people
who are established who think they run the district, but
you were elected to be their bosses, and never ever
back down, and stay strong and support each other, and
you will be able to make this happen. Mari Anne,
what specifically with regard to discipline are you concerned about,

because I'm for bringing back spanking and i am for
bringing back tough punishments.

Well, I think you know, there's been a lot done
in recent years that have really limited what teachers can
do regarding sending out students from the classroom. A lot
of time those kids come right back in. So there's
some stuff that we need to address at the state
level regarding the discipline code. But then also how we
handle it locally, you know, maybe with more leveled consequences

so kids know the expectations and we hold them to it.

Lindsey, let's talk about finances. I see these school districts
around here building one hundred million dollars sports stadiums and
they'll throw in swimming and some other things just to
get community buy in. What are we going to do?
What are you going to do to rein this in
and reduce taxes and deliver better education.
Speaker 5 (31:37):
Well, Michael, you may not know, but right now we
have a twelve million dollar deficit conor isd does because
of our overspending. So the first thing that we're going
to have to do is have an extensive third party
audit done to see where the money is going to
make sure it's not just at the top, but it's
(31:57):
actually getting to the classrooms. Because right now teachers have
to buy their own supplice at the beginning of every year.
That should not be the case. It needs to be
students based budgeting, classroom prioritize first.

I agree. I played extracurriculars. It was a great experience.
I believe in it. I think you learn a lot
of things from that. But you have to get back
to the in classroom education. And the fact is too
much is spent outside the education. It is the teacher
and the student. Are any of you former teachers.

swept the elections of a local school board. Four conservative

of Hillcroft on the on the south side, and they
showed up to what later turned out to be a
clearly staged event with the intention. I think there were
accelerants used, a lot of things that the firefighters could

want to go back because the Trump victory is fantastic,
but there are a lot of victories happening across the
country that that we need to pay attention to because

don't know are the administrators, have already asked them to

go to lunch and tried to explain to them, hey,
we unders because this happened to me. You know, we
understand what you have to say when you're out there campaigning,
but this is very, very complicated, and we want to
warn you we're not don't don't. Don't source me on this,
but some people within the education hierarchy are concerned some

of the things you said could put us in violation
of our state and federal funding. Oh really, yeah, it's okay,
you didn't know. I would just advise you. You know,
we're we're excited, excited to have you on the board.
I would just advise you don't make any more statements

or promises because state and federal law is very strict
on what a school board member can do and what
they can say, and it could get us in a
lot of hot water. So if you promise that you're
gonna shut down, you know, transitioning of kids into school,

and I listen, I'll tell you, I'm an assistant superintendent.
I will tell you I think I think we could
we could we could bolster our policies, we could make
them more robust. And you know, I'll tell you I'm
new to the district. I've only been here for eighteen years.
I will tell you that what that we need, we

do need more community engagement. Do we need committees to
review some of these things and make sure that we
have complete buy in and community. Yes, absolutely, and we're
gonna do that. Okay, you've got my commitment. We're going
to do that. What I don't want is for you
to go out and speak to, you know, some of

these homeowners groups and some of the chambers of commerce
and things and make promises on things like Trump and
nothing against Trump. Don't get me wrong, I'm not criticizing Trump.
But you get out there and you make a statement
that you meant as harmless it came from a good spot,
and then we are potentially subjected to state funding or lawsuits.

You know, this is one of the things. You know,
we're going to catch you up to speed on your
new board member orientation, but there are a lot of
lawsuits and now you are in an official capacity as
a school board member, and I know the last thing
you want to do is get the school board in
legal trouble. And of course they can go after you personally.

So what I would suggest is enjoy this victory, you know,
start preparing yourself reading about education policy. Uh. This is
going to be a really really in re a ching
time for you, and I think you're going to enjoy
your service. I just want to make sure you're aware
so you don't accidentally make a mistake and get us,

get the district, the kids, or you in trouble. Because
I can assure you this. We're all working together, and
I think this is exciting. I think it's exciting that
y'all blew out the school board members that we we've
kept in place, who've given us pay raises and allowed

backs and got all the parents to excited to elect y'all.

all came with a passion for all of our students,
and every one of us has seriously come in with
a list already of priorities.

Well, I will say that Nicole is strong, very strong
in the advocacy for special ed and dyslexia, and she's
already doing that and has caused a lot of change
in the state of Texas with the Handbook for Dyslexia.
So I think that's going to continue, and I would
say Marianna is on uh already serving and working with

other districts and stuff regarding the discipline issues, those were
both of those things were concerns of ours for Melissa
uh Duncan, Tiffany and myself. But they they we had
our hands tied because there were only three of us
and that we were outvoted on everything. But those are
two that are going forward. I'm Lindsay is all over
(29:50):
the finances and educational outcomes. Smiler is all over educational outcomes.
And Melissa and Tiffany and I have been going strong
on Title nine and policies that are set in place
to protect our children. But I can't tell you too,
I mean, I mean, there's been a whole bunch of them.

So and going forward will be I mean, are you
should Our desires are grand, it'll be, and our mandate
was huge, So I'm looking forward to seeing what we
can all get done together.

Well, you understand there will be pushback. There are people
who are established who think they run the district, but
you were elected to be their bosses, and never ever
back down, and stay strong and support each other, and
you will be able to make this happen. Mari Anne,
what specifically with regard to discipline are you concerned about,

because I'm for bringing back spanking and i am for
bringing back tough punishments.

Well, I think you know, there's been a lot done
in recent years that have really limited what teachers can
do regarding sending out students from the classroom. A lot
of time those kids come right back in. So there's
some stuff that we need to address at the state
level regarding the discipline code. But then also how we
handle it locally, you know, maybe with more leveled consequences

so kids know the expectations and we hold them to it.

Lindsey, let's talk about finances. I see these school districts
around here building one hundred million dollars sports stadiums and
they'll throw in swimming and some other things just to
get community buy in. What are we going to do?
What are you going to do to rein this in
and reduce taxes and deliver better education.

Well, Michael, you may not know, but right now we
have a twelve million dollar deficit conor isd does because
of our overspending. So the first thing that we're going
to have to do is have an extensive third party
audit done to see where the money is going to
make sure it's not just at the top, but it's

actually getting to the classrooms. Because right now teachers have
to buy their own supplice at the beginning of every year.
That should not be the case. It needs to be
students based budgeting, classroom prioritize first.

I agree. I played extracurriculars. It was a great experience.
I believe in it. I think you learn a lot
of things from that. But you have to get back
to the in classroom education. And the fact is too
much is spent outside the education. It is the teacher
