Speaker 1 (00:04):
It's that time, time, time, time, luck and load.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
Michael Very Show is on the air.

Speaker 3 (00:15):
The US is the first time in the history of
the world where a government.

Speaker 1 (00:21):
Was organized with a constitution.

Speaker 3 (00:22):
Laying out the rules that the individual was supreme and dominant.
And that is what led to the US becoming the
greatest country ever because it unleashed people to be the
best they could be, unlike it had ever happened. That's
American exceptionalism.

Speaker 4 (00:38):
Our resolve is unbroken and our purpose is unchanged to
delivery government that serves the American people better than ever before.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
To win with every single facet.

Speaker 2 (00:49):
We're going to win so much.

Speaker 4 (00:50):
You may even get tired of winning, and you say, please, please,
it's too much winning. We can't take it anymore. It's
to President, it's too much, and I'll say.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
No, it is it.

Speaker 4 (01:02):
We have to keep winning.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
We have to win more.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
We're gonna win more. We're gonna win so nice.

Speaker 4 (01:08):
It never did think that it together.

Speaker 2 (01:18):
Again.

Speaker 5 (01:22):
It is a tall, crowd city build on rocks, growing
to the oceans, wind swept, god blessed and teeming with
people of all kinds, living in.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
Harmony and peace.

Speaker 5 (01:33):
A city with green ports that hunged with commerce and creativity.
And if there had to be city walls, the walls had.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
Doors, and the doors were open to anyone with the.

Speaker 5 (01:44):
Wills and the heart to get That's how I saw
it and see it still.

Speaker 4 (01:49):
And we will restore and renovate our nations once great cities,
making them safe, clean and beautiful again.

Speaker 1 (01:56):
And that includes our nation's capital.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
Want to happen again that we never get together.

Speaker 4 (02:13):
Under my plan, incomes will skyrocket, inflation will vanish completely,
jobs will come roaring back, and the middle class will
prosper like never ever before.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
And we're going to do it very rapidly.

Speaker 4 (02:27):
I will bring back the American dream. Your expectations are
not big enough, not big enough. It is time to
start expecting and demanding the best leadership in the world.
Leadership that is bold, dynamic, relentless, and fearless.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
We can do that. We are Americans.

Speaker 4 (02:47):
Ambition is our heritage, Greatness is our birthright.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
Again, get together, brisday a great humility.

Speaker 4 (03:08):
I am asking you to be excited about the future
of our country.

Speaker 1 (03:13):
Be excited, be excited. So on the Morning Show today,
I noted that March tenth, eighteen seventy six, on this day,
the first successful test of a telephone was made by
Alexander Graham Bell, and here we are one hundred and

(03:35):
forty nine years later, and his sister is still hogging
the line. Which led me to talking about when I
was in sixth grade my brother was in tenth grade,
our joint Christmas present was that we got our own
phone line for our two bedrooms, and I was talking
about that was a huge deal. Other than being able

(03:57):
to drive at sixteen, that was a really big deal.
So that's the context of the following email.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
Zar.

Speaker 1 (04:04):
It's been fun to reminisce this morning about getting my
first landline, which I had to fight with my sister
over occasionally, as you noted. But the real reason I'm
sending you a message is because of one of the
most palpably joyous days of my year, the reverting to
daylight saving time. Here's to morning being morning and not

(04:26):
that terribly disruptive walls closing in feeling of three pm
daylight in the middle of December. I understand there's nearly
equal support for a standard time, but I'm positive they
do so because standard time is in the title, and
don't know what's good for them? Well, what I find

(04:49):
interesting is that a lot of people don't remember which
time it is that it gets really dark, really early,
but they don't like that time. I don't like that
time at all. The President has taken a stand on
this issue and has suggested that he's going to do
something about it. We will see. I sure hope, I

(05:12):
sure hope that he does. Let's start the show, shall
we with something that the Trump administration has been doing
that I think is very very effective, and that is
that Carolyn Levitt, the Press Secretary, does something called this
Week's Maga Minute, and it's more than a minute, it's
going to be two minutes and twenty seconds, but she

(05:33):
goes over the highlights and it makes it in a
bite sized form really easy for us to repeat this because,
as you know, CBSNBC, ABC, MSNBCC, and then they're not
going to tell you of the successes of the Trump administration,
So for those of us who want to, it makes
it easier. So here we go.

Speaker 6 (05:56):
It's been another very busy week here, so this may
be over a minute. Let's go over everything that happens
here at the White House. The President gave a record
breaking joint address to Congress, where he laid out his
bold vision to renew the American dream. He introduced the
world to DJ Daniel, a young boy fighting brain cancer
who was sworn into the United States Secret Service. He

(06:18):
honored Peyton McNabb, a young woman who was brutally injured
playing sports with a man who should have never been allowed.

Speaker 1 (06:25):
To compete against her in the first place.

Speaker 6 (06:27):
And he honored the memory of Joscelyn Nungray, a young
girl who was murdered by illegal aliens, by renaming a
wildlife refuge in Texas in her honor. And the President
also honored Mark Fogel, an American hostage who President Trump
freed from Russian captivity last month. Yet the Democrats stood
for none of these incredible Americans in their heroic stories.

(06:50):
They did not stand for no taxes on tips, the
capturing of an ISIS terrorist, defeating inflation, unleashing American energy,
or ending the fraud wind and abuse in our government.
Also this week, First Lady Milania Trump held the Roundtable
discussion on online Protection and the Take It Down Act,
a bill that will add protections for children who are

(07:12):
targets of malicious online deep fakes and attacks.

Speaker 7 (07:15):
This week, the President also kept his promise to the
crypto industry, establishing a strategic Bitcoin reserve and hosting prominent
crypto voices for a roundtable at the White House.

Speaker 1 (07:27):
We also had a historic.

Speaker 6 (07:28):
Jobs Day with nearly twenty thousand manufacturing and automobile sector
jobs created in one month. President Trump also met with
Kate of the recently released hostages from Gaza and heard
their stories. And after that meeting, he made it clear
to Hamas release all of the hostages or else, America

(07:49):
is back and we'll see you next week for the
Maga minute.

Speaker 1 (07:53):
America is back. Isn't that the truth? America is is back.
Elections matter, actions matter, anything is possible. Americans were ready
to make America great. And isn't it exciting that what

(08:15):
Donald Trump campaigned on, he's actions. Or take me to
Texas because I haven't ready to get out of this state.
I think Michael Barry robs Michael Barry show, I like it.
Has distinguished himself of late for being he's a Republican

(08:38):
from Tennessee, for being a very outspoken, seemingly very reasonable,
common sensical voice in the United States Congress, a place
that many people go to get rich off of stock
trades and to position themselves for a great retirement and

(08:59):
the next job and a hold, whether that's moving up
the ranks politically or as a lobbyist, or any number
of other things. There are plenty of really sharp people
in Congress, and then there are plenty of people who
you wouldn't hire to run your company, much less to
be a part of running the largest, most powerful nation

(09:23):
in the history of mankind. But let's leave that aside
for a second. There was a meeting of the Doge
Committee and Congressman Timbershet walked out of that meeting and
he made a statement that I think is as powerful

(09:43):
as anything any member of Congress has said in a
very long time. He said that Congress is going to
push back on all these cuts. And the reason is,
to use his phrase, is this town is as crooked
as a leck. Now this week, the big drama is

(10:04):
going to be that there is a Congressional resolution a
cr that the Speaker of the House has put forward
to fund the government through September. President Trump took to
social media over the weekend to ask in a tone
that was not as bombastic as he would normally ask.

(10:26):
In fact, it's quite a sweet tone, and I think
he was taking a different approach to show how important
this is. The idea being, look, you got to give me.
You got to give me a budget to get me
to September so that I can make the changes we
need now. If just a few Republicans hold out on

(10:49):
this thing, because we have we barely have a majority,
and the Democrats aren't going to vote for this. If
just a few Republicans push back on this thing, we've
got a real problem. You've got a six billion dollar
increase in defense spending, and you've got some increase it's
questionable because they're moving money around on border security increase,

(11:13):
and you've got a thirteen billion dollar cut in domestic programs.
But we're not talking about funding with Burshett here. The
funding will get taken care of one way or another.
This week. We're talking about not the amounts of the money,
but who's getting it and how it's being spent. And Burshett.
I think Burshett is ready to blow the whistle on

(11:34):
some of this stuff, and I hope he is here.
It is clip number five oh five.

Speaker 8 (11:38):
I'm going to ask you about Elon Musk's message in there.
What are you talk to you guys about all the
sort of the your studying message.

Speaker 9 (11:44):
We're talking about specific snarias a specific parts it. It's
very encouraging. He's disclosing he's dead. All you've got education
and depending on that are out there and.

Speaker 2 (12:07):
Time this thing started.

Speaker 7 (12:09):
Yeah, sort of conversation or pushed back, you know from folks.

Speaker 9 (12:12):
Who are Yeah, you're going to push back because you've
got Congressman on both sides of the hour.

Speaker 2 (12:19):
If they followed that paper.

Speaker 9 (12:20):
Trail, it's going to come back to them. They got
their wife and or girlfriend that works for some agents
quasi age or something. I'm trying to get a your
primary person. That's the trnything.

Speaker 2 (12:30):
We all know it. And this town's creecket his dog's legs.
Somebody's go straight to that. They elon Musk.

Speaker 8 (12:37):
If you give you guys his phone number like you
did those senators, you like, that's mart.

Speaker 2 (12:45):
What about using the recision? You're gonna say you call Alon?
Did he give you the number?

Speaker 1 (12:53):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (12:56):
I'm going on to your question. What do you think
about using the decision?

Speaker 8 (12:59):
Not good process?

Speaker 9 (13:03):
And I think that's a that's an avenue to time.
I would like every day have one on there that
we don't have.

Speaker 2 (13:08):
The guts to do it. So it really happened. I
think it will eventually.

Speaker 9 (13:12):
I think Americas from the domainded after that show the
Democrats they are on my side.

Speaker 8 (13:16):
And so how do you get in text with mister
us if lawmakers do have any concerns.

Speaker 2 (13:21):
Down on the phone, send up by saying things flowed
down a little bit more pass No, I mean.

Speaker 9 (13:30):
I'm encouraged you can go as faster than possible because
we'll lose our guys undred and fifty days.

Speaker 2 (13:35):
This bunch that's been up is cutting in the mind.
Anything about the recent VA cooks Fromots no other thanks.

Speaker 9 (13:45):
We primarily discussed down some of the aspects of the
people that are one hundred years old and people overseas
that are out of the country that are drawing a
check and how much how much that is just substantial.

Speaker 8 (14:00):
But eights were, well, they're gonna but I believe that
the little equalo was out with the rod and then
people start going back at work.

Speaker 9 (14:13):
I think that's going to take care of some one
that's not to but that'll come off that side of.

Speaker 8 (14:18):
The ledger an any thank you, and he's talking about
cock you're doing something different cold.

Speaker 2 (14:24):
Thank you girls. I noticed that stuff. Lily Fulitzer was
pretty quick, was.

Speaker 8 (14:34):
Ready, was already conversation there about codifying the dog cups
and about.

Speaker 2 (14:41):
Did anyone say that they are in there? But we
were sure you won't say that they wanted that in
a CR even though Johnson's.

Speaker 8 (14:47):
Already talk table about meeting with the prison today or
elonisation like.

Speaker 9 (14:56):
A slighter that's going to be as from beginning goes
back to the guts, saying that we'd like but did
anybody I would like to see it?

Speaker 2 (15:03):
I would like to see it as soon as possible.
Did anyone in there say that they want to see
it in a CR? That possibly did?

Speaker 9 (15:09):
Did you?

Speaker 8 (15:10):
Well?

Speaker 2 (15:10):
You got you don't have anything to smiling about. My
Lily Pulitzer.

Speaker 9 (15:14):
Who's Loly Pulzers, Honey, it's Lily Pultzer and sweet more
dresses that man, there's nowhere And I said, I'm.

Speaker 2 (15:21):
The president message today. He was so open and.

Speaker 9 (15:31):
Says, I've been on the edge of a lot of
tough looks and I didn't know the way that he
would have liked.

Speaker 2 (15:38):
And he's never called me constantly, He's never threatened. Ye,
We've always talked in a business like manner.

Speaker 3 (15:48):
They remain scared the death of you, and they remained
scared to death of TRUP Michael Barry show.

Speaker 1 (15:53):
You're not going anywhere even if Trump does. You're not
President Trump talking about education in the quality of education
in this country, and this is something that I think
does not get enough of our attention. We're going to
talk about that. When you talk about national security, a

(16:16):
failure in your education system is a serious national security challenge.
Here's what he had to say.

Speaker 10 (16:24):
Can you tell us anything about the education department that
you're going to dismantle. We want to bring the schools
back to the States because we have the worst, literally
we have the worst education department and education in the world.
We're ranked at the bottom of the list, and yet
we're number one when it comes to costs for pupil

(16:45):
We want to not only have school choice, which is important,
but we want to bring it back to the States,
so the states can run the schools and they will
be every bit as good as the top educational departments
anywhere in the world.

Speaker 9 (16:58):
So you feel good about the state's education I use
at all, rather.

Speaker 2 (17:02):
Than in the federal government.

Speaker 10 (17:03):
You can go back to the States but I can
tell you forty Saints will have great and then same
ones that we have problems with everything else, they probably
won't do as well.

Speaker 2 (17:10):
But will help them.

Speaker 1 (17:13):
Unfortunately, public education in this country has become the worst
of Democrat politics. You've got teachers unions. We start with
teachers unions, which are absolutely awful, absolutely atrocious. Teachers' unions

(17:37):
are not dedicated to anything related to teaching. Teaching is
about children, learning, developing, growing. The teachers' unions care nothing
about that. All they care about is getting as much
money as they possibly can and keeping anyone from having

(18:02):
any oversight of them. And included in that is the
inability to ever get fired. So we have teachers' unions
having destroyed public education in this country and they will
not tolerate anyone daring to compete with their boondoggle, with

(18:24):
their fiefdom, with their silo. That's why private schools and
particularly school choice and vouchers frightens them so much. In fact,
I will tell you this, I've never seen Democrats squeal
so much over any issue, including abortion, as they do

(18:44):
having competition from the private sector and the household level
with public schools. Because public schools it is the ultimate
powerful union in the Democrat Party. It is even more
powerful than the SEIU, which replaced AFSME as the Municipal

(19:06):
and Public Employee union. The SEIU originally Service Employees International Union,
originally just organized janitors, but they were so much better,
more aggressive than AFSME, which had kind of gotten lazy. Surprise,

(19:28):
the Municipal Employees Union. The SCIU was a very aggressive union.
In fact, the SEIU was probably more powerful in getting
Barack Obama elected in two thousand and eight than any
other single entity. The labor unions themselves have lost most

(19:54):
of the power they once had, and the reason is
because the Democrat parties. That the Democrat Party went from
being the working man's party, which was always what they promised.
Whether they delivered or not, we can disagree with that,
but that was what they promised. They were the working
man's party, and that became from fiscal issues of labor

(20:19):
protections that in labor guarantees, let's be honest, that went
to social issues. Well, what ended up happening is working
class people tend to be socially rather conservative. So for
a number of years Democrats struggled to hold union members.

(20:41):
They would always get the union leadership, but they struggled
to hold union members support because they were out there
with crazy issues. And that's where Clinton was so important
to bringing back at least as a campaigner, more socially
conservative or socially moderate issue chose to win back what

(21:02):
are known as Reagan Democrats. What people mean when they
say that is they mean the white working class. Well
after the Clinton administration and particularly in earnest beginning with
the Obama administration, you had complete focus on social issues

(21:23):
of the extreme left, and that's where they lost, not
just white labor. That's where they lost Hispanic labor, Black labor,
That's where they lost a lot of their working class support.
Trump turns out to be a phenomenally strong Republican with

(21:45):
the working classes, phenomenally strong, Stronger than anyone in my lifetime,
Stronger than Reagan. He understands labor or he understands working
class concerns, fears, hopes, aspirations. He understands what drives the

(22:07):
working class, and that's why he's been able. I don't
know that the Republican Party will be able to hold
those gains when he's gone, because the Republican Party has
a tendency to promote people like Jeff Bush, Mitt Romney,
John McCain who do not poll well because they do

(22:29):
not represent well the working classes. They will attempt to,
ever so often try to find some issue, but working
class issues are secure the border. That's huge. Get the
freaks out of the schools because working class people send
their kids to public schools, and interestingly, the people who

(22:52):
are in charge of the public schools are out of
touch with the working class people. When President Trump talks
about us having the worst education in the world, I
don't know that that's necessarily true. I think it's hyperbole,
but I think that's his call to action that we
have to improve this. We cannot continue at this pace.

(23:13):
And I think he's right because there is no doubt
that the scores of the top graduates or let's say,
the top fifty percent of graduates across the world. The
United States is not performing well. The smartest of our
smart sure, but kids who may not go to college

(23:35):
and kids who may go to college but probably shouldn't
are scoring on tests worse than we've seen in my lifetime,
in probably in one hundred years. And the results to
get it all last hood with air grabbing Scoop Mitt
the Michael Berry buckinghood Pins Shoosmobile Escaped from the Ordinary.
I came across a list last week from a YouTube

(24:02):
site I follow called Vintage Verse, and it was a
posting about ten minutes long entitled ten Forgotten Classics that
are still incredible today. Now most of you know this,
but some folks won't know it, and it's going to
open up a whole new world of opportunity for you.

(24:25):
If you go to YouTube, you can if you see
a video you like, so put in something you like.

Speaker 8 (24:34):
You can.

Speaker 1 (24:35):
Then while you're watching that, they'll always tell you, Hey,
if you like what you're seeing, hit that subscribe button
when you subscribe. Now, I know this is old hat
to many of you, but you'll be surprised how many
people didn't know this. When you hit subscribe, that's like
the old t BO. That's like the old VCR, but
it will every time that person that site posts something,

(24:58):
it'll put it into your subscriptions. So you can now
follow that the same way you follow a TV show,
where you go and all of them are loaded there.
So Vintage Verse is a sight I follow because they
do stuff like this ten Forgotten classics that are still
incredible today, and I'll give you the ten. Don't email

(25:18):
me asking me. Just go back to the podcast and
you can hear the list, or you can go to
Vintage Verse, the Parallax View, Bring Me the Head of
Carlos Garcia, Midnight Clear, The Friends of Eddie Coyle, which
I watched this weekend, which was wonderful, Wake in Fright,
run Away Train, The last detail, which I'd seen before,

(25:38):
which is a Jack Nicholson, really really good Jack Nicholson
and Randy Quaid film. The last detail Blowout Sorcerer, which
turns out not to be a good movie. Unfortunately. It
had all the makings of a good movie, but it
turns out not to be. It has Roy Scheider, Jim

(25:59):
is the from Jaws. His name Roy Shouter. Am I
saying that?

Speaker 5 (26:03):
Right?

Speaker 2 (26:03):
Okay?

Speaker 1 (26:04):
And then finally the last which is what made me
think of this is a movie called Thief, which is
a wonderful movie. It stars James Khan as the.

Speaker 2 (26:17):
Star.

Speaker 1 (26:17):
I mean yea, it stars him as a star. It
stars him as the lead actor, and it is I'm
told that this is the basis of movies like Heat.
They were this was the inspiration for movies like Heat.
It has Jim Belushi in it, it has James Kahn,

(26:38):
it has Willie Nelson. It has Tuesday Weld as the
love interest. And if you don't remember her, Tuesday Weld
is a gloriously pretty woman. She's not beautiful, she's girl
next door pretty, but she's so perfect in this role. Anyway,
I don't want to ruin the movie for you. It
has Roy Prosky, if you know who, that is really

(27:00):
good movie. It's called Thief. And yeah, so that's all
I have to say about that, Jim, In case you
were wondering what else I had to say about that,
That's all I had to say about that. President Trump, Jim,
this is going to be clip number five oh seven.
President Trump is talking about Zelensky. He's talking to Maria

(27:24):
Bartiromo about Zelensky taking money out of this country. This
is your money, folks, this is your money. And he
says it's like taking candy from a baby. The end
of the Ukraine scandal is going to be a big
step in making America great again. It's not the last scandal.

(27:46):
We know that, but there is so much dirty going
on between our relationship in Ukraine. Ending this is going
to be a huge step in the right direction. Go ahead.

Speaker 10 (28:00):
He was able to It was like taking candy from
a baby.

Speaker 1 (28:04):
What he did.

Speaker 10 (28:04):
He's a smart guy, and he's a tough guy, and
he took money out of this country under Biden like
candy from a baby.

Speaker 2 (28:17):
It was so easy with that same attitude. And I
just don't think he's grateful we gave.

Speaker 10 (28:24):
Him, in my opinion, three hundred and fifty billion dollars.

Speaker 2 (28:28):
Europe isent for a hundred billion dollars.

Speaker 10 (28:31):
We gave him three hundred and fifty billion dollars. And
he's talking about the fact that they have fought and
they have visit Bravery because somebody has to use the weapons,
but without those weapons, So forget. I was the one
that gave him the javelins, that was able to knock
down all the tyce. Obama gave nothing. Look, if I
were president, that would have never happened. You wouldn't have
had Russia going into Ukraine, you wouldn't have had the

(28:52):
whole situation with Hamas and October seventh would have never
happened because Iran was broke. They had no money. They
weren't giving it to Amas or anybody else you would
have never had the worst evacuation anyone's ever seen, which
is Afghanistan, which was the most embarrassing day in the
historic country.

Speaker 2 (29:11):
And you know what else you.

Speaker 10 (29:13):
Wouldn't have had, You wouldn't have had inflation. We had
record setting inflation under Biden. It was a killers one
of the reasons that won the election.

Speaker 1 (29:23):
So the paradox of what President Trump is saying is
important to understand.

Speaker 8 (29:31):
Here.

Speaker 1 (29:32):
He's talking about the fact that he gave the Ukrainians
this javelin. A javelin is a mobile unit. It's an
anti tank missile. You mount it on your shoulder. It's
not for the weak of heart. Now for the faint
of heart. This thing, you're going to have to be

(29:55):
strong and pretty tough. They call it a fire and forget,
And what it does is it finds the tank that
it's that it's going after. And then and they use
it on tanks, helicopters, all sorts of armored vehicles. So
what it does, it's a it's a heat seeking missile.

(30:17):
What it does is these tanks come rolling in and
you got no tank presence, and you got no presence
to take it out, and your small arms fire isn't
going to do any good against these these armored vehicles.
This thing allows you to neutralize a very very powerful tool,

(30:37):
the Russian tank, on the battlefield without having to deploy
your tank to that location because the Ukrainian military spread
pre wife. Now, the reason this is important to understand
is Biden gave all this money to Ukraine, but he
didn't do the things necessary to help Ukraine. They're never

(31:01):
going to win the war. Let's just be honest. They're
never going to win the war. But he didn't give
them the tools to make the war closer.

Speaker 2 (31:11):
How could that be.

Speaker 1 (31:13):
Because Biden wasn't attempting to strengthen Ukraine's military. Ukraine's military
strength was not the purpose behind sending the money. Ukraine's
defense was not the purpose behind sending the money. For
all the talk that Putin's awful and we have to
stop Putin, Biden didn't do anything to stop Putin. Ukraine

(31:38):
is a place to launder money, and that's one of
the money was being sent there. That was the purpose
of the money being sent. Trump had no interest in
laundering money. Trump was actually trying to strengthen the Ukraine
against Putin. That's the difference so that's how to seemingly

(32:03):
contradictory things. Biden sent all the money, but Trump's, you know,
helped their military. They are actually you didn't have to
send two hundred three hundred billion dollars over there to
strengthen their military. And even Zelenski mixed at least one
hundred billion of it he never saw. So we know

(32:23):
that the money we sent wasn't helping their military because
they never went to their military, which raises the question
where did it go? And then you begin to understand
by the Democrats and the neo common books all wants
to continue in any money
