Right right, That was a different time.

I never got in trouble.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
Well, of course not. How old are you.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
Seventy five?

Speaker 1 (00:52):
Seventy five? And where where? What school did your mother
take you to when you were seven years old?

Speaker 2 (01:00):
Noah Elementary, So for the.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
Folks, not in Houston. That's south of Houston, you know, southeast.
You know. Well, it's interesting because I know that you
say that as a tribute to your mother, an a
tribute to why you turned out as well as you did.
I really, I've really grown to appreciate the love that

my parents showed me through discipline. And you know, you
certainly don't like it at the time, but you sure
do appreciate it later. And I think young people today
are lacking in that in many ways.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
Yeah, well, I won't say I've never caused any trouble,
but I was smart enough never to get caught.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
I ain't that the damn truth. Walt, thank you for
the call, my man. I appreciate you holding with us.
We had to break crash into your comments. But it's
always a pleasure when folks call the show, and I
have to say some people don't like me saying it
this way. I love my older callers because I feel

like older callers graduated and got out into the world
and formed their own opinions before the schools went to hell.
And so you just you're just honest, You just straightforward,
and and there's that raw, authentic honesty. It's it's just amazing,
you know. It's it's when you see a real leather product, handwork,

hand tooled by a human being, you know, that lives
in your neighborhood, or when you see a restaurant that's
owned by people that are cooking the food themselves and
it's not some multinational it's it's just it's a really
really wonderful feeling to talk to people like you. I
get such a good I get such a good feeling
