a kid and moved from the hospitalI grew up into the house. I'm
mccurby, and we just kind ofput the cats in the crate and bottom
here and bottom here, and thenwe let him out. They were like
freaked on a I'm just gonna runaround everywhere. Yeah, we've taken him
to the new apartment twice and ithas been a good time. I think
it's because its been empty. We'rehoping. So we're hoping once he comes
back next Thursday ish, once it'skind of filled up a little bit,

it'd be like, okay, cool, this is this is normal. And
once your Friendrick gets in there andthe smells and your clothes, that's okay,
this is home. I can calmdown. Everything's fine. Don't worry
putting your toys in a special boxand none of the movers play with them
while they're hanging out and moving things. Teddy, don't wear because you have
moving dogs, dogs that I havemoved. I feel like that wouldn't go
well because you're already supposed to makesure your dog isn't like involved in the

move already. So we'll find out. But they didn't moving dogs that they've
worked for the moving company and theylive a good moving life. I mean,

played a football game since Madden twentyone and I popped it on. I
played my favorite team, the OhioState Buckeyes. I've never been to Ohio,
but I just like them. Isaid, I've never been to a
high out have been to Cleveland,I've never been anywhere in Ohio, but

about the Buckeyes? Is my dad, myself and my brother snuck onto the
field. This is I think inthe off season, we completely snuck onto

have been it must have been aholiday weekend or something, and we're like,

Iowa State fandom is stronger than theteam the team builder, so you can

think about episode I guess we'll getthis out theway. Episode eight was originally

called Assassination Run has been now changedto season four finale. As the title
obviously you see a disclaimer from theepisode just of you know, everything that's
going on from last weekend with reallife events. So they put the disclaimer
in from the episode happened at thesame time, the description of the episodees
just wild. Just you know,like that description is a little a little

too wild, a little too realthere. But episode eight I thought was
a pretty decent finale. I knowa lot of people have kind of thought
it was a weaker season overall,kind of stack in the deck for next
season, the final season, seasonfive. But I think the finale ended

on a strong note, which isgood. I just want to say my
take on this is that knowing thatnext season is the last season, I
couldn't be as shocked as what happened. I was like, well, we're
going to think. I mean,don't get me wrong, I don't think
the Boys is gonna have a happyend. It's not gonna be. I
don't know, I feel like itwill. I think a main character that
we're you know, we're in spoilerfree part, right, now I think

won't have a happy ending, butI'm hoping the other main characters will have
happy ending. I'm gonna say Idon't think that anything will be. And
then here we say the day himstart, I got married and looked happy
of it after That's what I'm saying. I don't think I want that to
happy Kevin. And you gotta puta little little hope and humanity in this
show right now. It's too reallyneed some hope. Yeah, But I
will say I did call it lastweek. I called us I think they

want to do a little slamer frombeginning and then they can go into the
episode. I did call that.I don't want to my own horn.
But that was a good finale.I thought it was very very story driven,
which usually the boys finmens are actiondriven. I thought that was really
really really cool. Definitely some surprisesin a back ten minutes also in like

the main climax of the episode,at a lot of surprises I did not
see coming. But all in all, this is probably again adding to the
what I've always say, the boysdon't miss, Boys don't miss. They
haven't missed this episode one and it'samazing the quality of show. They continue
to put out season after season,like even some of the greatest shows of

all times, like Your Sopranos,of course, Game of Thrones, we
know how that ended, Seinfeild Friends, like all these other shows. They're
a good seasons, they're bad seasons. But I feel like The Boys,
it's gonna be one of the firstshows to have a great beginning to end.
Yeah, you know what I mean, And I think you need to
have a weaker season just to buildup that final season. I mean there's

a lot of talk about, youknow, when shows run its course of
like like The Flash is a goodmodern example of like those first two three
seasons were really good and then itjust outstated it's welcome a little too much.
We still watched it, still lovedit, but like it was like,
all right, this doesn't have themuster like the first three seasons did

this. I think is smart thatthey know, Hey, fifth season's last
one. You got gen V gettinga second season for sure too. So
what happens after season five we'll findout. But we know where we're going
at least after this. And that'sthe other thing, Like if you want
to say there was a week seasonon the Boys, maybe it was this
one mm hmm, but this isthis is a week season, like what

a hip hop group shirt, andyou're like, oh, a little on
the nose on this one with thisepisode, Oh my gosh, I'm really

on the news. Yeah. Butessentially they're all kind of figuring out,
you know, what to do,what their plan is. And we cut
to shifter Annie, which is howa distinct he somehow knows about Annie's grandparents
when she's hanging out with Hue thenext day. Turns out, you know,
the shifter can get people's memories whenthey touch someone. I guess it's

what the power base is. Thereno cool twist on that rather than mean
a regular like you said, shapeshifter when he touched them, she has
everything. Yeah, that's a prettycool twist, which is because that's usually
the loophole of like, oh,they don't know the right answer. In
this we find out obviously the itis Annie's foibles that give away it's not
the really any which I thought wassmart because like, you know Alicia's foibles,

I know Morris foibles of like Iknow if it's more or not?

Annie gets sort of a refresh tomake the body as it is. But

all this is going on, Butcher'sin the hospital. Butcher does meet with
Ryan, Mallory comes in all thewhile while Kessler visions are popping up.
I thought it was really good.It was really sad though we lost a
lot of good side characters. Ifeel like in this episode, which sucked.
You know they did. But Imean, we'll get to an apartment.
One of them was on her ownfault. Come on, man,

come onme, man. But Iguess I'll just sum up the Butcher stuff
here because then we can go througheverything else. But essentially, Butcher is
trying to talk to Ryan into goingwith Mallory. We assume to another safe
house where they can't or Homelander can'tfind them. They play Connect four while
he's trying to convince Ryan that it'sokay. But I think this is the

character you're talking about, Like itwas kind of their own fault a little
bit. Yeah, because he's tryingto because I mean, if you I
have kids, you can't force themto do anything because they have a built
a megimism that they want to fightback. You gotta talk them into it.
That's what she was doing. Andlet me talk you into this.
Listen. He does sound a goodguy. Man. I we know you

(19:52):
love him, but we gotta,we gotta, we gotta save you from
him. But Hicks, I waslike, here, D has a rapist.
What you're talking about going to thewall. Yeah, because we find
out that Mallory does want to takeRyan to train him up to be to
be the anti Homelander to fight againsthim. We find out that also like
this hospital is like really dark andlike the concrete asshalls. I'm like,

I've been to some hospitals they looklike that, and you find out it's
actually a CIA bunker. So itwas all a whole stage thing. I
mean, Butcher was hurt, butthey staged it to try to get Ryan
because Mallory's about to hit the buzzeron the door to make it kind of
a cage. But like keV said, Ryan pushes her back. She dies,
and it's sad because she's been theresince season one, and he goes

off into the night. Well,Butcher accepts his fate of Hey, if
I can't save Ryan, fmo,I'm gonna kill all the soups and embraces
his full Kessler you know, becauseI think, like I said, she
have season one, she's been weactually have been to a lot with her,
but she's only around like for liketwo episodes, like you, And

right there I was like, well, wow, it's gone. That was
over. Yeah. But then wedo cut to Homelander where he's looking at
his jar of grays is the bestway to say it. Interesting enough,
he does have that photo of Stormfrontstill in his addresser, which was just
a cool little like hum interesting,But we find out Homelander does find Ryan's
photo of Butcher and Becca. Helaser laser eyes the whole place in rage,

which caused Ryan to go to Butcherlater in the episode, but we
do then cut find out that Anniealso wasn't the original choice to kill President's
singer, but they're gonna use herto frame her on almost Starlighters. It
didn't really work to that degree,but it kind of did. At the
same time, we then see uhHomelander and Firecracker on the set of her

TV show. Homelander immediately reveals Newmanas a soup. He then lasers on
her on TV doesn't affect her,which you're like, wait, does something
go wrong there? No, shekind of blocked it, I guess a
little bit. And and she's fullyrevealed as a superhero. And this is
when the sort of tension between PresidentSinger now is like, hey, I

want a reelection. I don't wantto be with her that I didn't know
she was a superhero at all,but god, funny, I feel like
in the real world if a presidentknew that, like the vice president had
likes for mind powers, Like,no, what are you gonna ask for
President? I'm okay with it,you know. Oh I'm sweet. Just
flyb me around to be anesome.While this is going on Homelanders getting his

house in order literally because he askedAshley to make a list of all the
people with leverage on the Seven akaa hit list we all kind of infer
from, and in doing so,he tells the Seven to eliminate them all.
The Deep has a great question of, well, hey, if we're
getting rid of everyone was the dirton us, shouldn't we get rid of
the person who's the most dirt onus is Ashley. She merely flees,

goes to look for that compound feedinjecting her system. She merely falls down.
Her wig falls was off the entiretime. She's been balding since season
one, so it makes sense.And she has maybe transforming powers, but
we'll find out about that next season. I think she I think she kind
of the lack of bedroom hawked out. Mm hmm. So sometimes some kind

of like trips makes a national gonnabe big and big, ugly and strong,
something like that. Yeah, Butthen while that's going on, obviously
they get rid of a lot ofthe the Vaught employees. Black Noir has
a murder boner, which is weird. You're like, Okay, he's getting
into it. I guess good forhim. I think that's as far as
a little bit of prediction in themiddle of this, I really just want

the rest of the seven to That'swhat I said. I must have been
really the Deep in Black New BlackNoir go away. I'm kind of over
them now. They deserve to died, Yeah, I think. I mean,
at this point, they're all sidecharacters, like the Deep is the
longest one there still, but like, yeah, we all know Homelanders the
big bad and they're kind of justthere as color just to like give a

little bit of ten and in alittle bit of funniness like the Bro conversations
from last week. But while thisis going on, we cut to President
Singer and the bunker with the boysand Shifter Annie. It's when Hue finally
realizes that Shifter Uh. At thesame time Real Annie breaks free of her
chains. Hue tells THEMM about ShifterAnnie and like, oh, nothing's going
wrong. Then Shifter Annie says,f this, Chuck's a guy, and

he bends backwards on a desk.He went full backwards. It was that.
And then the lady she pushed throughthe code hook and she was hanging
out on a co hook now byher head, exactly Lily Young, and
she literally said, I'm gonna getyou later in songer on the Code Anger.
But the one thing I do thisis this is just a question about
how the power was working. Boughteverybody's got him many super strength to That's

(24:45):
what I think. That's what likeI think in the comics apparently like all
the boys get super like strength orresistance or whatever. But it's kind of
how we last week we found outlike the Deep survived because he also has
like super strength to a degree.I think they just kind of give all
soups general super strength. It waslike, so that's what to make sure

I wasn't only one. Eventually thisleads to Shifter taking on Kimmy Ko defeats
Kimmiko, but not really because KimmiKo's immortal. We all know that.
But then and he pops out ofnowhere. R Ko on a Shifter eventually
incapacitate Slash kills Shifter. And whilethis is going on, we find out

(25:26):
that President Singer founds out about NewmanSinger survived and that Homelander says, you
know, we got to figure outwhat to do and if not, Newman,
I'm gonna threaten Zoe to control you. But in doing so, this
causes Newman say f this, I'mgoing with the Bully's Yeah. Also,
I want to I want to shootthe because I played the plays Starlight.

(25:49):
What's her name? Starlight Aaron Moriarty. She did a great job playing that
Shifter and Starlight back to back.I thought that was really really cool.
Do you do that? And goingback to the Homelander and Newman, she
also did the great job kind ofbreaking down to say I went out.
I thought I wanted this for me, but I was crazy. Obviously,

(26:11):
we do get a fun line ofHue and Annie debriefing over him proposing and
sleep sleeping with Shifter. Uh French. She cracks the virus, finally gets
a virus out of Kimiko's old leg, and in doing so we find out
good acting by Claudia Dumont, who'sNewman. I thought she she acted out
the Duffy in this episode for sure, and which kind of tells you what

(26:33):
was going to come later in theepisode, because she does meet with the
boys. This is after Kimmiko confessesher true feelings her Frenchy and they kiss,
which is adorable. You're like,hell, yeah, love it because
I did that in the beginning.The beginning of the series of season saves
a lot of stuff exactly. ButNewman and her daughters always do meet the

boys in their warehouse. Everything's goingto plan. He was convinced everyone,

to get to May and Soul first, Osha turns off Camire's controls the flow
the ship at first, but atthe same time they do arrive at the
fortress together. It's locked out whileOSHA's hacking it open. Camire says,
hmmm, seems like it's not myproblem, and then quickly disappears, like
ah, I hate when that happens. He pulled the batman. I hate

he doesn't, but we didn't havesee that. Soul has come back to
the bridge where he saved Osha,but not May. Turns out May was
hiding under the bridge, but indoing so, Osha opens the layer's door.
Camire catches up the Soul and it'sfight time. It's fight night baby,
it's fight nor baby. Because Camreswitching lightsaber stances allow Jedi survivor,

which we all did when it wasa tougher opponent or something like that,
Uh takes on Soul. I thoughtthere's a little too much slow mo in
the fight, which to each oftheir own there's kind of showing the force
and all their athletic ability. ButI did like the moment where sold the
flex the sort of I call itthe lightsaber boomerang. It's a move Darth
Vader uses in battle Front two allthe time. You toss it out and

he call it back, but hecatches lightsabers and tosses him down. First,
I thought I was gonna kill Camireand toss them back at him,
decapitate him, but no, justdoes that, but in doing so he
does disable Kmir's lightsaber, and atthe same time, Soul's lightsabers tossed out
of his hand when May intervenes tosave Camir. Yeah, you know,

it's funny going back to that DarthVata thing that they say one of the
reasons why he threw his lightsaber atLuke returned to the Jedi look at a

turn towards more of the dark side, where she couldn't calmer hatred. But

she survived without showing how she survivedthe first time when the witches were killed.

But eventually ocean May stop at theBoonta tree. They apologize to one
another and Khmire tells Oshan, I'lllet May go if you train with him,
and uh says, okay, butyou have to white May's memory.
They do. The one is your, You are me, I am you.

I feel like if there's season two, it should be basically the hunt for
the Sith and where are they,why are they back, and what do
they want? Obviously we know whatthey want because we've seen Bend and the
Sith, but it'd be kind ofcool to see kind of how it what

I'll also like to see how theJedi Council reprimands her for not telling
