Speaker 1 (00:09):

still here Kevin, and.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
We can see just a little teddyheadcam right there, Teddycamp's
baby teddycam.
Speaker 1 (00:38):
It's within my cam. It's just the same frame. Good Jobba,
good job. My cat's not in here, so I want
your cat perched right on top of you like a parrot. Kevin.
Speaker 2 (00:49):
Nah, she'll call my she'll claw my ears off.
Speaker 3 (00:52):
You may you may hear a few.
Speaker 2 (00:54):
Baby screams because my door's open because the cat's not
in here, so the cat needs to come back young.
Speaker 3 (00:58):
So here's some baby screams. Everything's fine, okay.
Speaker 4 (01:02):
Well, we got a jam pack show for you today
because we got two things to talk about. One of
them involves two people, Deadpool and Wolverine, and the other
well both four initials SD and C and C San
Diego Comic Con.
Speaker 3 (01:17):
They had a time on Saturday night at SDCC.
Speaker 1 (01:20):
They had a Marvel had a time this weekend. I
will tell you that right now. But you can see
everything we're talking about so much more by going to
Hot ninety nine to five dot com slash crisis Scrip.

you need to know from San Diego Comic Con, including
Kevin that the Doctor Doom Ironman Funko Pop that was
kind of a crossover funko pop that was a pegwarmer
for five bucks two hundred and fifty dollars. Now, if
you one said funko pop.
Speaker 2 (01:58):
It's funny because I only streamed one last week. I'm
sorry about that. Insanely busy last week at work. I
just didn't have to bring space to do anything I
mentioned in the two day episode, like there's been a
rumor of a certain Iron Avenger. Maybe you come back
as a as a mister Doom and that could have
been an omen that could go go stuck up on
your Doctor Doom Ironman.
Speaker 1 (02:18):
Would have thought. But Kevin, where can you listening right now.
If you listen to the podcast version of our show,
watch us record the podcast live or on demand of
their own accord.

back to when we broke the news that define Wolverine
was gonna be a thing.
Speaker 3 (02:47):
Then fast forward to today and listen, let's talk about it.
Speaker 1 (02:50):
Just think if we were right all those years ago,
and we probably weren't. I'm gonna tell you that right now.
Speaker 3 (02:56):
Sometimes we are, sometimes we are, but most of the
time we are.
Speaker 1 (02:59):
Right there you go. But we always usually start a
podcast with what you're doing. But in lieu of the
things we have to talk about today, we are gonna
punt that to Wednesday Slash Thursday's episode including Hot D. Yes,
we know Hot D was on Sunday, but let's face it,
Comic Con and Deadpool Wolverine took over the weekend, so
some hot D we'll take over Wednesday when we talk
(03:21):
about that on the podcast instead screaming.
Speaker 2 (03:25):
That episode at Comic Con over the weekend, which is
pretty interesting.
Speaker 1 (03:28):
Yeah, it's really cool Comic Con works of like the
like they showed Dead Poor and Wolverine. I know for
some audience members was cool because then they spoiled cameos
immediately after that screening, So case you didn't know you
were spoiled and didn't realize that it was Comic Con News,
the show episodes of that. I think they did like
like a ten minute like sizzle reel of what we
(03:48):
do in the shadows is really cool what happens to
San Diego Comic Con.
Speaker 2 (03:52):
I was only spoiled. I got minorly spoiled before I
saw the movie. But it wasn't a big deal because
it was it was like lively. We all knew that
was going to be.
Speaker 1 (04:02):
I had no idea. I had no I know because
we're still in the non spoiler part of the podcast.
Given my bad, but we'll be doing all that good
stuff on Wednesdays to actually come on back here. But
this is the time to see if my buttons work
on my little button bar over here, because Kevin, it's
time for the news news perfect. Literally spent the past
(04:29):
hour and a half trying to make sure all this
stuff worked and that it didn't get damage, and luckily
it did not because the move.
Speaker 2 (04:36):
Yeah, those movies can be a little rough sometimes. Thankly
they were gentle on this, thank god.
Speaker 1 (04:40):
Thank god. But it's time to talk about and add
another movie to our MCU in review. Let's break down
Deadpool and Wolverine. Ope, there we go, right, there we go.
The breaking down button got stuck. That was.
Speaker 3 (04:59):
Got didn't know where it was for a second.
Speaker 1 (05:01):
This was like, Hoodie, what are you trying to tee up?
Don't worry, it's Kevin. It'll get there.
Speaker 3 (05:07):
I haven't been to a Marvel review in forever. I
got to log back in.
Speaker 1 (05:12):
Well it's okay. Which here's the fun part. I guess
we can preface this if you go to our letter
box it's actually my letterbox account because let's face it,
I see more movies sometimes than Kevin does. And it's
an honest reviews of my thing. But we have a
list which you can see under Andrew Hoodie on letterbox.
It's a fun time. It is called the crisis on
(05:33):
a podcast MCU and review list not going to read
every entry, because right now we have forty five entries.
This would be the forty sixth entry in the MCU,
including the im Group many episodes which we kind of
bundled together, and multiple seasons we've grouped together and helped
rink it up, mainly low Key season two. But here
(05:55):
is how the top ten stands in our MCU in
review rankings. Keep this in mind, Kevin, maybe when we're
talking about Deadpool and Wolverine, Avengers Endgame number one obviously
makes sense, Infinity War number two, No Way Home number three, Okay,
another multiverse story right there? Okay, Civil War Captain America winner,
Soldier at five, Black Panther number six, Guardians one at seven,
(06:16):
thor Ragnarok at eight, Avengers the first one at nine,
and number ten for our crisis ranking Guardians the Galaxy
volume three followed by number eleven will kind of forever,
and I guess our last latest entry would be Loki
season two, which is at fourteen, which updated where Loki
was originally. Where did we put the mar The Marvels
(06:38):
we put at twenty, so that's the lat latest movie
we put. So that's middle Ground, which I was curious.
I could remember where you put it. That echoes there too,
I guess is also the latest one that's at thirty,
which is also bottom middle of the BacT. If you
want to say that.
Speaker 3 (06:52):
I got number some emmys, you see that it did.
Speaker 1 (06:55):
I feel like that's just like it's a gimme for
every show. It's like how you came out, here's some gimme.
We're gonna not gonnat you for something.
Speaker 3 (07:01):
I mean, it's a category you can fit into exactly.
Speaker 1 (07:04):
The fun part is if Teddy being in the camera
now you get to see how much he itches and
Teddy stop right now, boy change.
Speaker 3 (07:12):
That's why we have cat came off sometimes because.
Speaker 1 (07:14):
The yeah, it's not just gonna keep my keep my
arm up here Teddy in the old time, don't worry
about it. But Kevin, let's get onto the non spoiler
parts of this. Did you like dead pulling Wolverine?
Speaker 3 (07:29):
Honestly? I mean I had to be the bear of
bad news, but I love this one. I'm just joking.
Speaker 1 (07:34):
I thought it was great.
Speaker 2 (07:35):
It was a fun time, definitely, and up because I'm
there was like this, I don't want to say annoying,
but dipple to i't delivered as much of people wanted
to do we want that poem one? This one I
think overachieved at certain points in the movie. It was
the only thing I could knock it on. I can say,
if I want to knock on something, I wish we
could have explored more of Wolverine's timeline and what what
(07:57):
actually happened?
Speaker 1 (07:58):
I him, yeah, because it kind of I was inferred
more than anything. But that's just me.
Speaker 2 (08:03):
Because because I like everybody else, I love multiversal stuff
because I'm a very existential thinker. I want to think
about about you know, the person in Earth four who
went left and the right.
Speaker 1 (08:12):
I went right.
Speaker 2 (08:12):
Maybe he went left and see what happened him. So
but other than that, I love I thought it was
a great movie. I did not see that opening coming
at all. I thought that was great.
Speaker 1 (08:21):
Yes, and I thought the opening was was fun, but
also three D a little two three D at times
you know like this, should I have gone and seeing
this in three D when you're sitting in the theater it.
Speaker 2 (08:32):
Was balk forty X ticket that almost did I was like,
is it gonna be as good as Twister?
Speaker 3 (08:38):
Probably not?
Speaker 1 (08:38):
Probably not for four D. Not worth the four D
money right there? That price tag and Kevin, if you
were to give it a score out of ten, we'll
say baby blades, baby baby knives. There we go, what
would you give it? Eight? Eight solid baby knives out
of ten, baby knice. If you haven't seen the movie,
(08:59):
you'll get that reference, which is why we do the
non spoiler part of this podcast, so you can then
hear what we think about it, and then go watch
it and then come back as we break it down.
Maybe nice, maybe nice. I think for me, I really
liked it. It was fun because I went to see
it with Eric and Max and of course obviously Mora
my wife. So I've seen it once. I would like
to see it twice. There might be plans and the emotions.
(09:21):
I might see it with brother John when I'm down
in Virginia Beach next week. Fun fact, Kevin, I will
not be here for next Monday's episode because I will
be in Virginia Beach. Sh It's up, no problem, all right,
now there's solo episode. Maybe we'll play some college football.
It's time. But I really enjoyed it. I think the
movie definitely is is kind of the the tagline I've
(09:43):
been saying for the movie is if you are a
Marvel Insider if you listen to this podcast, or you're
us or deep dive on all the comic cond news,
this movie one hundred percent for you. If you're a
casual fan who maybe your last movie saw was Endgame
or Spider Man, haven't kept up with all Disney plus shows,
the Fox stuff in the past. This movie you like it,
(10:06):
but not as much as the Marvel Insider.
Speaker 2 (10:09):
I can see what you're saying, Like, because Marvel Insiders
and then other people like us who like know what
comic stories they're referencing, so like knowing like when they
did the Wolverine montage, different.
Speaker 1 (10:22):
Wolverines, you know what each wolverine was, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (10:24):
Exactly, So yeah, I could definitely see, Like, if you
have been following this stuff like me since you were
you were eight, it definitely hits a little different than
person that just made the saw Deadpool you know whatever,
it came out ten years ago.
Speaker 1 (10:36):
Yeah, and you're not keeping up with Oh they have
a friendship in the comics and all this stuff, which
was fun because a lot of people are like, what
are all these things the reference them? Like, Oh, don't worry,
we got you. We could listen to the podcast please
and they'll tell you. But I didn't. I really enjoyed it.
I thought it was a really fun time. I think
it isn't necessarily the savior of the MCU, but it
(10:56):
is kind of I've liked what people have been saying,
an adrenaline and boost into the MCU, which is what
Shirley is needed, because kind of stagnated a little bit.
You know, Loki was kind of our last like, oh,
real good. Then you know, we've had Secret Invasion. The
Marvels kind of underperformed. Echo was there, but you know,
(11:16):
kind of last Guardians was good, but kind of the
end of last year kind of faltered a little bit,
and now this is like all right, hey, we're still here.
And then Comic Con News obviously helped on top of
that too. Well.
Speaker 2 (11:28):
Even I look at that top ten our top Marvel
movie list. Of the last few movies, the best two
have been Guardians and Will Forever. But like I always say,
we kindoever, you don't leave kind of ever feeling good
about yourself.
Speaker 1 (11:39):
Yeah, and I think it's feel at the same time too.
Those are yeah, like those are both ending movies, kind
of Guardians three being the last Guardians of James Gunn
and will kind of forever for now being more more
of the farewell to Chadwick more than anything.
Speaker 2 (11:53):
Yeah, this movie you left feeling pretty I mean the
Marvels you left feeling pretty good too, But the Marvels,
there's a whole It could be a freaking college course
about why that movie feel because it's so many reasons
besides just that it wasn't the best ever. But this
movie literal literally it kind of got you.
Speaker 3 (12:10):
It was.
Speaker 2 (12:11):
It was also it's way an homage all the Fox
movies as well, but I didn't really expect. I thought
it was gonna be more of them, let's just take
their pool and put them in our MCU world. But
it was more like, we're gonna We're gonna put them
there eventually, but let's say goodbye and thanks to the
X Men's and the Fantastic Fours and the Daredevils and
all that kind of stuff, like we know you didn't
do great and you're not wiy Wiley wily loved, but
(12:33):
you were there and we love you.
Speaker 1 (12:34):
And yes, like, oh this is a Fox property. I
get it. I forgot that was a Fox property. And
some of these cameo things that may have happened or
may not have happened.
Speaker 3 (12:43):
Exactly, I know them.
Speaker 1 (12:46):
Yeah, I do think. Sorry, I just have like thoughts.
I literally have like lines I wrote down was that
the cameos in this aren't really necessarily cameos where they
happened and they're gone. They're they're there for multiple scenes,
which is great, Yeah, because I think it really this
movie is a cameo fest, but is in a good way.
Instead of just being like, look at that, look at that,
look at that, it has a story and it uses
(13:07):
those cameos to those stories.
Speaker 2 (13:09):
Cameos sort a purpose and not just like not like
the scene and noting Multiverse mais the Last Family Guy
Star Wars and I'm hitting Christensen.
Speaker 1 (13:25):
Like that. I think comparing this to Multiverse of Madness,
that's what your more cameo fest is, where it is
literally a scene of here's all the cameos, and then
all the cameos are dead. This is the cameos die.
But you know, they had like three or four scenes
before in some dialogue back and forth between things were
not four of them died, so well three of them,
(13:48):
three of them were like what happened? And the three
we saw the one out of that four, but not
the one. And if I were to give it out
of ten, baby Nice, I give it eight and a
half baby Nice out of ten. So Brown scores eight
in a quarter Baby Knives eight in the handle the
handle of the baby. All right, well let's get into
(14:11):
full spoilers. Will we do thro the little plot? I
don't know, because I really want to just talk about
what your most excited cameo was, which will be the
first question, Kevin. But in case you have we don't
know how it works. We're going full spoilers. We're putting
the spoiler warning up for you now, so if you
haven't seen the movie, you can posit here come back
to us. It's in a description of video podcast what
everyone see. Start right there and we'll be talking full
(14:32):
spoilers after you see the movie and be the first
ones to talk to you about the movie. Or if
you're a sadist like one Andy Drogon, you cannot see
the movie. I highly doubt that, especially this movie, And
get all the spoilers and then go see the movie.
Speaker 2 (14:45):
Maybe a point THEID right now in your car, and
we'll see you in about two hours and seven minutes.
Speaker 1 (14:49):
Enjoy you a popcorn but guess what, you will not
buy a Deadpool popcorn bucket because they sold out the
first very night. So Kevin, let's go full spoilers here
we go. So we kick it off with our theater
experience of Deadpool and Wolverine, which includes the popcorn bucket
because Eric got Eric got to the theater early, sat
(15:09):
at amc Tyson's, and I was like, all right, cool, hey,
you're there early. I know Max probably wants a snack.
They got popcorn bucket, get it to me. And he's like,
they've been sold out since the first screening on Thursday
at three o'clock. Like, well, never mind, I saved four
to dollars this time. I does.
Speaker 2 (15:26):
Imagine it's somewhere in somebody else's podcast right now.
Speaker 3 (15:29):
They have just popcorn buckets everywhere.
Speaker 1 (15:32):
Right there here. All I got is an old bubba
fat helmet and a Captain America and a mule there.
Speaker 2 (15:38):
Because because I remember your brother, he brought the the
uh doctor strange gimmick.
Speaker 1 (15:44):
It was just a cube, It's all it was. It
wasn't relative to the movie at all. It's just a cube.
Speaker 2 (15:50):
So yeah, I'm not not really a popcorn tin person
because I feel like you get more popcorn regular.
Speaker 3 (15:55):
So I was like, I don't worry it.
Speaker 1 (15:58):
But yeah, we saw an indoor and I think this
is a movie worth Dolby. I think I kind of
talked about Twisters was worth it for the sound. This
is worth it for the visuals, just because the colors
on the suits pop, and they're already colorful suits, but
they pop even more.
Speaker 3 (16:11):
I can imagine a yellow and wolverine. Fine, was like
just brilliant.
Speaker 1 (16:16):
But Kevin, how is your theater experience? So we saw
it in a rego.
Speaker 2 (16:21):
I haven't been to a rego in a while, and
it was a different experience because, uh, you know, usually
you walk into a Center Mark, walk to AMC. The
first thing you do is redeem your your online ticket
basically through the thing, and they scan they let you in.
Speaker 3 (16:34):
You just walk in, You just.
Speaker 1 (16:36):
Walk out, and you sit where you want and we
don't care.
Speaker 2 (16:39):
It kind of feels like that, and then eventually somebody
stops you and they have like their little kiyoks on
the wall and they scan your phone. Okays over there,
have a good day.
Speaker 3 (16:46):
I'm like, that's it, that's weird. So we got out snacks.
Of course, I got popcorn, no kettle corn.
Speaker 1 (16:53):
We saw it in.
Speaker 2 (16:56):
But Rigo dons at least this week I went to
in Frederick, Maryland, they didn't done upgrades.
Speaker 3 (17:02):
The seats are company but they're like airport seats. They're
very very narrow, and it's.
Speaker 2 (17:06):
Like, you know how some of the some of adobe
there's amc the some of the two seats you can
lift up the things like if you know more someing
together the lift of the.
Speaker 1 (17:15):
Seat and kind of have a oh. I tried to.
She wouldn't let me. I was like, you know, oh, okay,
that's the one.
Speaker 2 (17:20):
Now though this one is like no, this is your
seat and this is where you sit. I get over
all that.
Speaker 1 (17:25):
It's whatever.
Speaker 3 (17:26):
They also have a weird VIP section in.
Speaker 2 (17:28):
Rigo where apparently it's kind of like pre for all
you get free soda refills, free popcorn.
Speaker 1 (17:33):
Refills, stubs. If you're on the A list, you know
you get the same thing.
Speaker 3 (17:37):
Yeah, But in there it's like it's like this whole
different area. It's weird. I have to figure it outcause
that she looks for interesting.
Speaker 2 (17:42):
But the main thing that really made me weird out
of may me kind of upset about this movie trip was.
I bought a screening at four fifteen one time movie
started four.
Speaker 1 (17:57):
Here's the thing, I think that Adobe also my be
worth it because the trailers started before the start time
of the movie. So I saw it at four fifteen
on a Friday. Trailers are already going. I know, sometimes
like the AMC Movie Minute, they have random TV trailers.
It was playing full out the full Disney trailers or whatever.
And the movie started like four to twenty like full
(18:17):
actually started, like all right, dope is the way to
go with this?
Speaker 2 (18:20):
I guess I think that people did too differently the
first fifteen minutes of screen time or is it which
is commercials. I didn't see a trailer til like four
to twenty five, so that that was different too. But
it is other than that, it was a great theater.
I don't know if you did you see the Captain
(18:41):
America trailer in Europe.
Speaker 1 (18:42):
I did, and that white and black was not great.
In the dark coun It's like, ah, stop it, dark cold,
dark white, dark white.
Speaker 3 (18:50):
I don't know happened in yours, but in my, in
my theater, not to sing why she was depressient?
Speaker 1 (18:54):
They did take that out as well, which I remember
that I heard that during the move of the they
took it out in just India, but they took it
out everywhere.
Speaker 3 (19:02):
I'm like, you know what, I'm going to applaud that
the good.
Speaker 1 (19:05):
Job, good editing on your.
Speaker 3 (19:08):
Less I didn't begin two.
Speaker 1 (19:09):
Seconds on the end of it. But what are you
gonna do a great Well, let's talk about the movie. Actually, then,
what's going on? Kevin? Your favorite cameo character in Dead
Poor and Wolverine.
Speaker 2 (19:23):
So we're talking about this on through text on Friday,
and I gave you two.
Speaker 3 (19:28):
I actually remember what I gave you. Actually, let me
look at my own.
Speaker 2 (19:36):
I am in the future as I'm scrolling through my
sex messages here and looking for Andrew Hood.
Speaker 1 (19:42):
And you have a tie between.
Speaker 2 (19:45):
I have a tie between Gambit and I think before
I said, I'm patched by Chamber of Mind. Okay, it's
definitely Gambit and Cavalry Cavaline.
Speaker 1 (19:54):
Yes, correct, Yes to Kevin, which is who because that
guy because you see in the credit he's like, what
the hell? Oh? Because of that? Yeah.
Speaker 2 (20:02):
Because so as he's going through the Wolverine montage, there's
a certain awesome part where we see a Wolverine. We
see his working for just just his his fat and
stature from behind, and we think it's again, it's probably
you know you, Jackman. But he turns around, this glorious
(20:23):
Henry Cavill and all his calviulnists and.
Speaker 1 (20:26):
He looks soil like. I think Henry Cavill's in that
mutton chop and heard I think somewhere in there.
Speaker 3 (20:32):
Now I've been saying for years that I want him.
Speaker 2 (20:34):
Remembers the name of the actor right now with one
paper actors actually the bear's brother.
Speaker 1 (20:38):
John Berenthal, Punisher, but I want him as Wolverine.
Speaker 3 (20:43):
Trage of mind. I hope the m C Wolverine is
Henry Cavill.
Speaker 1 (20:46):
I know it's not going to be, but I'm like,
especially now, it's gonna be.
Speaker 2 (20:51):
And then even to the point where he did the
loaded fist thing like he did Mission impossible but did
it with the claws.
Speaker 1 (20:57):
Oh my, I need this forever. And then two favorites
and the gambit one we'll talk about obviously that's part
of the plot. Mine easily had to be human Torch.
Chris Evans is human Torch because she couldn't write that
any better. Of like he's gonna say it, He's gonna
say it. Plame On's like, hell yeah, that was, like
(21:20):
I know, it's like the first probably thirty minutes of
the movie or something like that. It's like, hell, yes,
this is what this movie needs to be. Finally, here's
the thing we gotta read Richard's We Got a Human Torch.
Now we will get a thing or a sous storm
connection before we get truly the Fantastic Four movie next year.
Speaker 2 (21:38):
Michael Chichlis and just this album popping up somewhere in
one of these movies Captain America, because that totally makes
sense for them pop up there. Michaelis can be to
be kind of like, I don't know, a police captain.
They helped Captain America easily could do.
Speaker 1 (21:54):
All Right, So let's go through the plot, kind of
talk about what we want to talk about, obviously what
we can Obviously the movie starts off. It's back in
twenty eighteen, Wade, We'll say Deadpool has used Cable's time
machine to save everybody on his Earth one ten zero
zero five. However you want to say that, That's how
I'm going to say it. Now he's used it to
(22:16):
actually save everybody he's also this is kind of a
confusing thing for me that he used the device to
go to Earth six one six, so it's also an
inter dimensional travel device to get interviewed by Happy Hogan
to audition for the Avengers. Thought was really fun that
you got the sort of proto Captain America shield that
we've seen in the Ironman movies. You had the Ironman
(22:37):
kid helmet that Peter Parker or the Spider Man now
in Earth six one six war in Iron Man two,
and then it was covering obviously Pete's photo of Tony
because no one in six one six knows what his
identity is anymore.
Speaker 2 (22:50):
I'm trying to think I've done a research yet, but
twenty eighteen would have been Infinity.
Speaker 1 (22:54):
War, right, it would have been right before. It's probably
it was probably like right before Infinity War.
Speaker 3 (22:58):
Yet, so everybody still Earth, nobody snapped away.
Speaker 1 (23:00):
Yet it makes sense, it makes sense, but obviously Wade fails.
The interview is a great moment of oh, we're standing up.
Oh that's not good. We're standing up, and it's like
it's okay. And obviously Ryan Reynolds, as as Deadpool, was
just elect I think that's a make or break on
this movie. If you love Ryan Reynolds, you're sold on
this movie. If you hate Ryan Reynolds as humor, you're
gonna be like, it's okay, I don't like it.
Speaker 2 (23:21):
But even in this opening scene though, the movie kind
of announced that, Okay, we get what we want to do,
deple Wolverine, fart and button jokes, but had a heart
to it. He really just wants to do something that
makes us bigger than himself. And I think Ryan Renolds
played that very thoroughly, of course. And then going forward
from here, it was just, you know, a joke fast
but yeah, but he bost of them landed, so good joke.
Speaker 1 (23:41):
But then we cut back to Earth ten years zero five.
It's a couple of years later. Wade now works for
a car company, kind of CarMax knockoff Kevin, very related
to I know, I was like Kis Kevin. Right now,
Hey and Peter are working at the car Max together,
Peter trying to get Wade to get the suit back up,
but Wade doesn't want to. He's kind of in a
slump trying to figure out, you know, what is his purpose?
(24:03):
He needs meaning in his life. He doesn't find out
that he and Vanessa broke up, which I thought was
an unfortunate thing in this movie because they're kind of
I like, really like the dynamics of that and one
and two more than I actually rewatched one and two
the day before we went to the theater, and we're like, oh, man,
you're crazy, matches my crazy. And I was like, oh,
that's such a good dynamic in their relationship.
Speaker 3 (24:24):
I mean to do that, but I had a kind
of crazy.
Speaker 1 (24:25):
That's okay, you remembered it. At least turns out Wade
has a surprise birthday party. While the TVA is taking
photos of Wade on the streets, He's like, what the
hell is going on there? But Peter brings him a
surprise party where we find out he and Vanessa are
just friends and sort of more than anything. But we
find out that Colossus negasnic teenage warhand or sorry warhead, Yuki,
(24:49):
oh Dope ender blind owt Shatterstar, the bald Guy forgot
what his name, The bald guy, the bald biker guy,
all black guy was because the baald biker Guy forgot
what his name was. Uh he was in the first movie.
He was he like, broke up fights didn't have a line.
The second movie. He tried to be like, you know, Wade,
(25:10):
you might have denial about this, and he said, no
more lines for you. And this one he goes, Waite,
you got menstruation and he's like, are we improving now
with your character? Yeah? That was good.
Speaker 2 (25:22):
Also, I thought it was cool kind of bring back
Shadows cauld. I believe Shadow started was a Black Ranger
in the Power Rangers movie.
Speaker 1 (25:30):
No incorrect. He's actually in the Mortal Kombat movie. He's
the scorpions son, but isn't related to anything. Essentially, this
was about a movie to better this one. Yeah, but
they're all living. Wade's doing his little party. It is
that sort of small tug of what are you watching?
You know, all this good stuff? Wades interrupted because the
(25:50):
TVA come knocking on his door. Sorry, mind you, this
is not how the movie started. The movie started with
Wade literally digging up the grave of Logan. At the
end of Logan who knows how long after saying oh,
surely you know he's indestructible. He's coming back better than that. Ever,
anything goes fu because Logan's dead. We see Wade pull
(26:11):
up his Adamantium corpse kind of do some Australian puppetry
with him, which leads to I can't believe the crisis
That crisis crew didn't call us out. I'm not talking
about that part leads to Wade at this time using
a fat fighting the TVA with Logan's dead adam Antium
skull all the while while and syncs Bye Bye Bye
(26:33):
and in a dancing dead Pool or dancing the choreography
of Bye Bye Bye.
Speaker 2 (26:38):
No question to you, hoodie, and maybe you've seen that,
Maybe I haven't seen it anywhere.
Speaker 3 (26:42):
You think that was Ryan Reynolds in the costume doing.
Speaker 1 (26:45):
The Unfortunately, Kevin has been confirmed it was not Ryan
Reynolds doing and sync Bye Bye Bye dance because they're
actually why I said a dancing deadpool, because they had
a professional dancer due Bye Bye Bye choreography.
Speaker 2 (26:58):
I thought it would have been cool if we found
out it was just Justin Timberlake in the mask.
Speaker 1 (27:04):
It's funny because n Sink actually showed up to the
premiere and we are obviously knew what the soundtrack was
of this movie going into it, but it's funny that
Justin Timberlake was the only one who didn't show up.
So the premiere, he's going through some stuff. Yeah, he
got arrested. It's all okay, But in classic Deadpool fashion,
which is every movie, it started with that then you
dial it back, which leads us to this birthday party.
(27:27):
Wade's pulled by the TV for the very first time
wigs snatched, which we saw from the trailer, and Wade
is shown into the TVA where he meets Paradox ak
Tom Walms, gram caprecious bag what from success right? Correct?
He ultimately is the successor in succession, so he won
(27:50):
got spoiler a great show, but hey, you're you're too late.
But turns out Paradox is offering Wade a place in
Earth six one six to kind of be like learned
from the trailer of Marvel Jesus an agent for the
TV to help work for them kind of cleaning up
(28:10):
timelines and all the good stuff. They give Wade a
new suit, which we saw on the trailer as well,
and an over abundance of butt slaps and crotch grabs.
I'm just like keeps going all right. At the end,
he goes that Taylor is a sexual predator over there,
all kind.
Speaker 2 (28:26):
Of as like also a jab at Batman Foreverend Batman
and Robin. It was just a blatant butt shot for
all all three of the evening, the third one it
was uh la shop Sipplestone on George Clooney and Crystal Donal.
When he stood up, all three them have butt shots.
I was like, what why why?
Speaker 1 (28:48):
Uh. It turns out we find out Wade's timeline is deteriority,
deteriority whatever that word, as a result of the anchor
being of that universe dying Deadpool thinks of himself, No,
it's logan, and we get obviously a little little rant
on that anchor beans, which we'll have a little conversation
later about that. Very interesting, very interesting theory.
Speaker 3 (29:10):
There, very interesting mechanism.
Speaker 1 (29:12):
Mechanism correct correct correct. Uh. It turns out that they're
using the Paradox, using a time ripper to make the
universe deteriorating pretty seamless. They're going ah dead as a
mercy kill. But Wade obviously doesn't want that to happen,
so he steals Paradox's TemPad to travel the multiverse to
find a variant of logans, which we get, like Kevin said,
(29:33):
the Cavaline, we get a very short kind of comic
accurate depiction of Hugh Jackman as a short logan. We
get I think it's agent.
Speaker 2 (29:44):
Basically that Wolverine is the SI rapial gin basically pretty much.
Speaker 1 (29:50):
We get Patch the gambling Wolverine, which, how can you
not know that's Wolverine. He just has an ipatch over
his eye. We get the it's kind of like Conic
xpin cover of Wolverine on an X cross. Well, a
thing of red skulls are above him, below him, and
then we.
Speaker 2 (30:08):
Get, uh, what was the other one?
Speaker 3 (30:12):
Yes, only had one hand, basically one hand.
Speaker 1 (30:14):
He's very fairy, and we get an old man logan,
actual old man logan of Grandpa logan sitting with a
cowboy hat and shotguns wade immediately.
Speaker 2 (30:23):
We also got the original logan when he was in
his red and red and yellow uniform. Is about to
like the Hulk, yes, which we got a hawlkhand can't remember.
Speaker 3 (30:31):
We got the whole for the full hog.
Speaker 1 (30:32):
We saw Hawk's side is what we saw his face
on the claws, which sorry, which is an iconic comic cover.
We saw the side of him and that's what it was.
But that was kind of our our Wolverine montage, which
I thought was really cool and we really like set
the temple of what's to come in this movie, until
obviously Wade finds the wolverine we know who, I guess
(30:55):
summing up his story because he's like, oh, we'll get
a third act reveal. We do get a third act Revelle,
what happened is this wolverine in his universe, he more
of a drunkard more than anything, goes to the bar
too often. One night, went to the bar too long,
and everyone in an expansion died essentially and he didn't
wasn't there to save them.
Speaker 2 (31:13):
I thought it was a really tragic backstory for this Logan.
It's probably the reason why he wears his costume. But
I still kind of wanted to see the ramifications of
basically all the ex students getting murdered basically in that universe,
Like what was that universe like?
Speaker 1 (31:30):
Now? Because of that, it's bad, real bad, Yeah, real
racist against me. It's probably mutinus? Is that the way wutinis? Sure,
we'll go with that, spaciest I don't know. Uh. Turns
out Wade brings Logan back just to say, hey, we
got one and paradox is you brought the worst wolver
raining back. He then prunes them into the void after
Wade realizes that Paradox is acting rogue and that he's
(31:53):
acting without the TVA's guidance, which I thought was cool
that it connected with Loki. This really did a good job,
this movie to go a job of really the opposite
of what Doctor Strange and Multiverse and Manis did, where
it completely like disregarded what happened in Wanda vision to
a degree of where the characters were. This was like,
all right, cool, Loki said, like the TVA is good now,
(32:13):
but there's this rogue aging guy acting in a separate
room corridor that nobody knows about.
Speaker 2 (32:20):
It kind of speaks to what the TVA was anyway,
because you remember the whole point of a part of
the season two Loki was there was this rogue division
of TVA raised universes. So it kind of kind of
goes back to TV probably doesn't even work honestly as
a larger contra.
Speaker 1 (32:34):
They're still figuring out what they're doing.
Speaker 3 (32:35):
You know, I'm pretty sure he wouldn't be if they
want to.
Speaker 2 (32:38):
If they wanted to do a Loki season three, it
was a TVA season TVA just gonna keep keep having
rogue divisions basically, and you.
Speaker 1 (32:45):
Have Paradox pop up. You like, oh, look, that's really
dope because I think that's an actor that Tom the
actor replaced Tom limes gam in Paradox would show up
on a Loki show.
Speaker 2 (32:53):
You know, this actually was originally written for to be
a Owen Wilson variant Amobia Sperience, and then for some
reason it didn't work out and got did this instead.
Speaker 1 (33:04):
I think it's oh no, it'll still work though. Yeah,
But essentially they're pruned into the void, which uh. They
obviously have a little bit of a fisticuff, which was
really fun to see Wolverine do, let's effing go and
like run towards Wade as an actual like animal more
than anything, which I thought was cool. We get introduction
(33:25):
in a baby knife. Obviously they're fighting and knowing they
can't kill each other, but they're gonna have their way
with each other, you know what I'm saying, some tension.
Speaker 2 (33:32):
I thought it was smart because I think I said
this with the first trailer to Stop, I was like,
how is he stopping his calls with a sword? And
then we were alized, Oh, they give me animaum swords
and TVA.
Speaker 1 (33:43):
But as they are fighting, I thought it was cool.
Before we get introduced to a character, we see Captain
America's old shield from like World War Two, kind of
the more of a regal looking shield and not the
circular one. We see Thor's like kind of classic helmet
with the kind of wingings on the side of it too,
which is cool. Obviously, we see the twentieth century Fox logo,
(34:05):
but it isn't until we say, hey, cut it out
from a top you hear a familiar voice. It's one
Chris Evans, looking real good, got the brown hair and
at the blonde with the highlights, you know, like Captain
America did, which is their immediate It's not you see
him in a blue garb, be like, okay, Captain America.
He comes down trying to give a talk to Wade
and Logan, but all of a sudden they're surrounded by
(34:28):
X Men villains, mainly Toad, You got Pyro, You got
saber Tooth. They show up in a fantastic car, which
was cool because obviously we got that in San Diego
Comic Con. What the actual one is gonna look like
in the movie They had a variant version of Red
Skull's car, but it had an iron Man logo on it.
They were teasy, what was the come Kevin of Ironman villain?
Speaker 2 (34:49):
And they also had the ice cream truck order the
cookie truck from Moonnight, which is.
Speaker 1 (34:52):
Correct as well, which wasn't as more of a like
an obvious thing like oh that looks familiar and like,
oh that way, you know what?
Speaker 2 (34:57):
Thinking back up Moonnight kind of feels like he would
have been a Fox movie.
Speaker 1 (35:02):
I mean you know what I mean, could have been,
could have been with the Constantine days and all that
turns out like we just said, uh, this is the
human torch Chris Evans and not Captain America. He flames on,
and my god, have I missed that animation of what
he looks like is human torch? And I can't wait
(35:23):
to see what Joe Quinn looks like next year A
Fantastic four will look the same. Who knows uh, But
obviously he looks like he's about to, you know, wreck
some fools. But Pyro, being the one who can control fire,
just sucks up all his fire. He gets crotch shotted
on a billboard, takes dip takes a dive. You think
he's dead. No, he didn't die, because he lasted like
two more scenes at least for now.
Speaker 3 (35:45):
Commend Chris Evans was being a good sport about this
because not only.
Speaker 1 (35:48):
This movie, he was a free guy, free guy.
Speaker 3 (35:52):
He's just a good sport about all this stuff.
Speaker 2 (35:54):
Like sometimes you get these actors will do the like
these roles like this and like for the Jason Stathum
takes every think way too seriously, dude, these are movies
can mean to have fun.
Speaker 3 (36:03):
He's just having a fun time with it.
Speaker 2 (36:04):
And when he eventually does come back as Captain America,
whether it's you know, two years from now and four
years from now, it's gonna be well well deserved.
Speaker 3 (36:12):
I wouldn't say that the applause he gets.
Speaker 1 (36:15):
But essentially, the Human Torch is captured and Wade and
Logan are captured. Not until after Logan and saber Tooth
have a face off. Oh it's been ten years in
making their brothers're like, oh yeah, corny extant origins there, uh,
and Logan immediately decapitates saber Toof he's dead. They're captured too,
with thanks to a magnet, and they're sent to a
(36:36):
man's corpse bace AKA led by Cassandra Nova. We find
out is the sister of one Professor x and she
in some instances died in the womb. In some instances
she killed Xavier. But she's been sent to the void
and she's kind of been the clean up crew for
kind of small projects so when it comes to the void.
Speaker 2 (36:57):
Also a quick question for you, I want to get
gets your take on this. Did you like the the
mad Max style speech that DEVI who gave.
Speaker 1 (37:07):
Yeah, I think it was really really fun. Obviously, we
had Furiosa come out a couple of months ago, like
two months ago now, yeah, two months ago, and so
it's very fun of just like we know what Mad
Max looks like that dystopia and now we can just
make fun of those things now, which is fun.
Speaker 2 (37:21):
And also do you think that the gianaman Corse that's
Scott Langs I hang.
Speaker 1 (37:26):
Him, Kevin. I'm not gonna lie. I wouldn't be able
to tell you on who it was. It could be
anybody in that.
Speaker 2 (37:34):
I'm just curious because I'm making he didn't mention it,
he didn't make a Paul Rud Paul were finally aged.
Speaker 1 (37:38):
Well, so there you go. It was Scott Scott. You
know there were two of them, Scott we Gotta Girl,
Scott h Scott, Michael Douglas. It turns out Cassandra Nova
she's got some weird powers because she literally rips the
skin off of Human Torch after Deadpool. It seems like
(37:58):
he's framing human to what you're saying all these bad
things about her. We later find out spoiler in the
end cameo that it is Human torchs talking shit about
Cassandra Nova the entire time, So it was a justified death.
I guess if you want. But this is when essentially
Cassandra says like, if you're not joining me, then I'm
gonna feed you guys at the alioff Aliah. Sorry, yes,
(38:21):
which is when where he goes oh from season from
Loki season one, episode five, like hell yeah, that's right.
Speaker 2 (38:29):
Dead Pool when he saw joking out, Oh my gosh's
junking out from episode issue forty five X Men.
Speaker 1 (38:36):
It's so cereal like that, Yeah, but I love it.
I think that's the humor that like connects everything and
makes you appreciate what we got. But Logan and Wade escape,
they run into a variant of Deadpool called nice Pool
of long hair, who does give them a car, which
is a weird I don't know what the car was.
I don't Kevin, if you paid that. Sure, Yeah, gives
(38:56):
them a car and how it helps them find where
the voids borderlands already out of the void, but not
until they run into dog Pool, which my god, Mary
Puppins dog Pool aka Peggy the Real Dog has taken
over the Internet and I loved more. I was like,
I appreciate this. I was like, I know what we're
doing for Teddy for Halloween this year.
Speaker 2 (39:15):
Yeah, I can't wait because I'll probably try to show
my daughter parts of this movie next year.
Speaker 3 (39:21):
He went to show a dog Pool. I think I
think's gonna think she's adorable.
Speaker 1 (39:24):
Yeah, I think dog Pool, I think was the funnest
thing that like kept going throughout the movie and obviously
hopefully goes on longer in future movies based on that dog.
But I think that was every time it worked a
dog Pool. Sometimes that stuff might not work, but anytime
it's a dog, an animal or dog like that, it works.
Speaker 2 (39:42):
It kind of reminds me of the dog from the Mask.
Speaker 1 (39:46):
The Mask.
Speaker 2 (39:47):
Everybody want to check on scenario now I want to one.
Speaker 1 (39:51):
Just in case. Here's the mask? Are you the one? Uh?
They do? I always Wade and Logan do have some
fun back and forth. Eventually Wade does kind of show
his hand of you know, the mission of Whey, him
trying to save his universe, getting Logan in a new
universe where he can live. Yeah, that's all bs, Wade
(40:12):
or sorry. Logan immediately turns the car off. They have
exchange of words. Logan sa says he say one more
word and it was about to go on, and Dedpool
goes gubernatorial and then the fighting begins in the car
and when Deadpool is immediately rushed in or pushed into
the radio here here whoa. And then Grease goes off,
(40:34):
which is great.
Speaker 3 (40:35):
Yeah, yeah, I had very lengthy car battle.
Speaker 1 (40:38):
I thought it was a lot of fun.
Speaker 2 (40:40):
I think it's cool when you can do these fights
wings too, because basically it always end in the stalemate.
Because even even when we know from that in the movie,
even because that pools head off, he's still going to
be Deadpool.
Speaker 3 (40:50):
He just won't have a.
Speaker 1 (40:51):
Headpool Pool exactly. But eventually this does lead to way
Logan getting upper hand kind of using the seat belt
to tie Deadpool up. But this is when I think
they're both knocked unconscious, right and.
Speaker 3 (41:06):
Both like basically sleep.
Speaker 1 (41:07):
Basically yeah that they're driven to the borderline where they
are shown into a base where they are introduced to
one Electra played by Jennifer Gardner, Blade played by Wesley
Snipe's Gambit played by Channing Tatum and spoiler from the
final trailer, even though it was a whole thing why
it happened X twenty three played by Daphne Keane. He
(41:31):
might otherwise known from that light now.
Speaker 3 (41:36):
Off in the third episode.
Speaker 1 (41:37):
She lied the whole time. They knew she was in it.
Speaker 3 (41:40):
She knew she was so cool man.
Speaker 1 (41:43):
But they essentially are the resistance fighting against Cassandra Nova.
Obviously from the respecting universes, and for the most part
they're from the movies that they're in. Elektra getting this
line of like, oh, yeah, Daredevil died, and you're like, oh,
that's right, Ben Affleck her version was that, and she
they di or so she's probably glad that dar will die. Blade,
they're a joke.
Speaker 3 (42:04):
But he was like, oh, like all right.
Speaker 1 (42:06):
Yeah, Blade, getting the joke of I'm the one and
only Blade kind of pause, pause, like okay, yeah, r
she is also coming too, and then Gambit pretty much
his whole line of chanting Tatum I thought was really
cool live action first live act, well you got Taylor
Kish in X Men origins, but first like suited up
(42:26):
version of Gambit of being like, oh, I never got
the chance. Some some of you guys got never have
haven't had a chance. Since I never got the chance, I.
Speaker 3 (42:35):
Fel like I lived, I was born.
Speaker 2 (42:37):
Biam's Gambit accent was immaculate.
Speaker 1 (42:44):
Moore didn't get it because Moore has no idea of
what Gambit sounds like. I'm like, that's what he sounds
like an X.
Speaker 2 (42:50):
Men ninety seven and even original sometimes like what I was.
Sometimes I'm like, what did Gambit just say?
Speaker 1 (42:56):
I have no idea about it.
Speaker 2 (42:59):
Even though back to the Blade and uh Deadpool Slash
Wes tight is Ryan Reynolds interaction, I didn't know this.
In an interview on TikTok, like actually a hour ago
they buried a hatchet from Blade three long time ago.
They't been friends for like the last twenty twenty five years,
so it was a funny time. I watched him, like, yeah,
I hate that guy. I never liked it. I was like, oh,
because you never really liked Ryan Reynolds, that's why you
(43:20):
went on set with him at all.
Speaker 1 (43:21):
Blade three, and I thought this was really cool. I
know a lot of people are like, oh, they just
brought himack to burn Back, but these like characters like
this was the farewell to Fox. We've kind of been saying.
It was cool to get that, and just like Pale
Mods because I think everyone's especially Blade, have wanted Wesley
Snipes to be back as Blade. I know technically he
made a cameo and what we do in the Shadows
(43:42):
for a hot second as Blade Slash Wesley Snipes, but
it was cool to get that Electra. I never watched
the first the Electra movie, so I only know her
from Daredevil. Matthew and then Channing Tatum ims he was great.
I thought it was cool to see those powers. So
that way, when we do get an actual X Men movie,
where ready to see what those powers look like. Befo
a full budget directly towards those powers, not just like
(44:05):
a tenth of a budget towards the powers.
Speaker 2 (44:07):
When we get to what comes next, actually later remind
me my idea for what they should do with the
X Men.
Speaker 3 (44:12):
I think I've said it before in the podcast.
Speaker 1 (44:14):
We Go, And obviously Laura aka X twenty three is
directly from Logan. She's grown up. She doesn't know this Logan,
but they kind of connect of like, you know, Logan,
you might not have been there to say the day,
but you were the hero. I needed you help me
grow up. Which is really fun, good touching moments there.
But this leads to everybody teaming up getting in the
Honda Odyssey thing or whatever the hell of the car
(44:37):
is and we hear bring them out. But this cool
like superhero version of it. I'm like, damn, this song
slaps as a superhero theme right now? Did they do
that too?
Speaker 3 (44:47):
In the first one with the X Gonna give It
to You.
Speaker 1 (44:50):
X Gonna give it to You was just was just
X Gonna give it to you, But this like had
a whole score behind it. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (44:57):
I can't remember what the movie it was, What's Gone.
Speaker 1 (45:00):
But they arrived to Cassandra's base. Uh, obviously would get
kind of the Void Vengers or whatever we want to
want to call them Void Vengers. Uh. They take on
all the variants knowing that they need to get Jugger
a Juggernt, there's Juggernaut variant, Lady Deaf Shrike variant, there's
a Zasl variant, a Silock variant, toad saber tooth. We
(45:23):
already talked about the like sailor guy from from Uh Punisher.
That was Kevin Nash and Mo and then obviously Juggernut,
and I thought this was cool. They could kind of
get away with it. And the void is it wasn't
the actual actors because these are all variants, so it's
not the same actors playing those because they'd be even
more expensive. But it is THEMB taking on our Fox heroes,
(45:48):
while Wade and Logan go take on Cassandra distractor UH
and doing so. I thought it was cool effects to
Cassandra was able to like put her fingers mentally or
actually physically through people's heads, which way the.
Speaker 3 (46:00):
Way they described it that she first, I can do it.
Speaker 1 (46:03):
This is mine.
Speaker 3 (46:04):
She has to touch people, so I thought I was
pretty good.
Speaker 1 (46:07):
To access memories and the different but we do get
both at some point. Wade and Logan both have that
happening and we see their flashbacks of all our movies,
which was fun. This is where we do get kind
of a little bit of the deep dive of Logan
and what happened in his universe with the X Men.
But ultimately Laura is able to get Juggernaut's helmet off
(46:27):
by decapitating him, and they put it on Cassandra to say, hey,
you're gonna help us out. If not, you know, we're
gonna keep you in the helmet that Nick we find
out Paradox is working with Pyro on the side. At
the same time, Pyro shoots Cassandra, but in doing so,
they take the helmet off of her and she pops
them bullets right back out. She lets Wade and Logan
(46:49):
go through a doctor Strange portal as a magician popped
by randomly throughout the void, and they escape in the
naked time, which was seen from the trailers. As Alia
encapsule relates the amp Man camp.
Speaker 3 (47:02):
Did you see what they said?
Speaker 2 (47:03):
The magician may be actually thought, I don't think it's true,
but supposedly the magician that she's still that slinging from
was a magician from Seahawk.
Speaker 1 (47:12):
Maybe are deleted scenes we know we obviously know there's
a deleted scene of Rob McElhenny as a TVA agent, So.
Speaker 2 (47:19):
I kind of want to see that because they're my
best friends. Now I see what I kind of want
to rob mclhenny, Ryan Reynolds buddy comedy thing.
Speaker 1 (47:27):
So so I mean watch Welcome and Wrexham. There you go,
because I bet you this next season will have some
Deadpool can't be and all that stuff in there. But
Wade and Logan and Pop back on on Earth ten
zero zero five find out Paradoxes begin to use the
Time Ripper, but Cassandra learns Paradox's plan. She intervenes. Uh
she mind probes Paradox and learns all his plans, and
(47:51):
she takes control of the Time Ripper. But in doing so,
she leaves a portal open for all the dead Pool
variants to arrive, obviously nice Pool and dog Pool, where
I like, all right, cool, we got some allies. Turns
out all the other dead Pools not as friendly. That's
a nice Pool and dog Pool.
Speaker 2 (48:06):
And this is this is what they call the Deadpool core.
Yes m hm, basically a bunch of people who can die.
We're really good at.
Speaker 1 (48:14):
Fighting fodder to a degree. But we get a lot
of variants here, as we get kid Pool and baby Pool,
which were Ryan Reynolds's real kids. We had welsh Pool,
who was actually a player for Wrexham, which I found
out about. You had dance Pool in there, Panda Pool,
Lady Pool, which we finally we finally found out. I'm
not sure I was played by or at least was
(48:35):
voiced by Blake Lively. Cowboy Deadpool was voiced by Matthew McConaughey,
which actually happened in there too, and a bunch of
other Deadpool variants happening. One was Nathan Fillion on Oh yes,
Nathan Fillion was Headpool, which was the decapitated head on
sort of like a spinner hat.
Speaker 3 (48:54):
That was funny.
Speaker 2 (48:55):
Actually, wait, it kind of reminded me of the hat box.
The Hatbox goes on the mansion.
Speaker 3 (49:00):
Really, he looks.
Speaker 1 (49:00):
Like kind of reminded me of the box goes bewhere.
But this is when, uh, you know, it looks like
all the Deadpool core is about to take fire on
Wade and Logan. Nice Pool shows up and Wade says,
stand are gets shot and they pull him off the side.
You're not immute, you can't regenerate. No, and Wade uses
(49:22):
his body again to cross paths again, and he ultimately does.
And then this is when Logan uses dog Pool, where
all the Deadpools say stop shooting, and they won't shoot
dog Pool the same reason why we wouldn't either. Uh.
Then this leads to the ultimate scene we were waiting
for the entire movie. Logan puts his cow on. It
(49:43):
looks sick as hell. He does ah, and we have
this cool kind of like try to look like a
one shot scene fight. At one point I did get
lost on where our dead Pool was. At one point
I did a few I don't know. He began.
Speaker 2 (49:59):
He was like doing like piro wets around the light
bowl while he was taking people down. Then I'm like, okay,
now it's just a sea of red. I'll startle the
yellow because I can find the yellow pretty easily.
Speaker 1 (50:07):
But eventually they fight through a bus. They think, all right,
we did it. Wade botches his superhero kind of mini landing.
All the Deadpools begin to recover. They're about to attack
Wade and Logan, but then Peter otherwise now known as
Peter Pool shows up and apparently every Deadpool variant also
has a Peter, and they'll party with Peter forgetting Wade
(50:28):
and Logan. They go into the sort of metro station
for the time Ripper, where we find out Paradox tells
them the only way to stop the time Ripper is
for someone to use their body as a conductor to
stop the energy flow power conduance into the device. Ultimately,
we think, all right, cool, Logan's gonna do it. And
(50:49):
I thought my theory while this was going. I was like,
all right, cool, Logan will do it. Whoever does it
will be animized. He'll live, but he'll look different when
he takes the cow off, and that's how they'll explain
who is Deadpool doesn't switch rude, Deadpool does it. At first,
She's like, all right, cool, I guess they could do this.
I don't know. They'll explain the Wolverine thing. Wade can't
do it alone until Wolverine pops in. They he literally
(51:11):
hits his mental snicked into the power conduit, and they
turn the device off, killing Cassandra. As far as we know,
we think they're dead. This is when Hunter B fifteen
from Loki shows up. She says rest Paradox. We find
out that Logan and Wade have both survived, and that
this has stopped Wade's timeline from deteriorating, Wade requests that
(51:36):
one hunterd B fifteen freeze some of the others from
the void. We only know thanks to that in the
movie that X twenty three at least survived as far
as we know, but maybe the others Gambit, Blade, and
Electro went to their own timelines potentially. You know, I thought, what's.
Speaker 2 (51:51):
Gonna happen in this scene is when it seemed like
there was no hope that ers want to deteriorate and
go away. I thought, we don't see a cameo from
Loki because he's got his stories. Now you've want to
pluck that one string like nah, I need.
Speaker 1 (52:04):
Yeah, I think. I think what's gonna happen is that
is gonna be like a Secret Wars thing. Loki pops
up and try to stop things of like, oh Loki
is getting in it things bad. But essentially this leads
to another Son of Party hangout in a blind out
slash Wade's apartment. Everyone's back, including Logan who's staying on
Earth ten zero zero five with Wade, including X twenty
(52:26):
three as well aka Laura. This is where Logan tells
Wade to reconcile with Vanessa. They do and that's the
end of the movie until obviously you get the mid
credits scene of good Riddance, Time of your Life by
Green Day over the sort of Fox behind the scenes
of every Fox Marvel movie, and we get the end
credit scene, which we already talked about.
Speaker 3 (52:47):
Also, we've got to talk about it too as well.
Speaker 2 (52:49):
When Deppe first went in TVA, there's a scene of
Thor holding him crying.
Speaker 1 (52:53):
M m, yeah, sorry that that's the whole scene of
At the beginning of the movie. Wade sees obviously like,
oh this what Earth six one six Marvel is, and
he does see like this version of Thor holding him
with his mask disheveled. A lot of people thanks to
the Internet. I kind of thought it too. It was
kind of a repurpose scene from Thor the Dark World
of him holding Loki. But I think they got to
(53:16):
kind of do that in Secret Oars at some point.
Or Doom Dining or Doom Dynasty, right is what it's called,
Doom Doomsday Doomsday, which we'll talk about in like two minutes. Yeah, yeah,
it was.
Speaker 2 (53:28):
Very interesting, but all in all, a great movie, great fun.
Speaker 3 (53:33):
Like I said, I thought a couple of things would
happen differently.
Speaker 2 (53:35):
But what we were doing what will serve up to
us on a nice little Deadpool Wolverine planet, I thought
was very very very good. And we they've kind of
positioned ourselves to allow Deadpool to come into our six
one six MCU and maybe maybe bring Wolverine and maybe not.
Speaker 1 (53:53):
Actually that is false, Kevin, because here now the best
part is what's next, Noice. We'll do the ranking too. Yeah.
I think what's gonna happen is Earth ten zero zero
five has now kind of been solidified as this is
the Fox Universe with X Men and everything, and we know,
thanks a comic con fantastic force in its own thing.
Maybe it's ten years zero five, maybe not, whatever we'll
find out. I think this is teeing up. This world
(54:16):
will be in cursioning and curring whatever that the verb
of that phrases with six one six, which kind of
tees up from Doctor Strange too, and will lead to
either a Doom Doom dynasty or secret wars happening.
Speaker 3 (54:31):
Depth.
Speaker 1 (54:32):
Nope.
Speaker 2 (54:33):
I feel like definitely the fantastics for universes gonna end
at the end of that movie, which we'll put them
either on this Earth or six one six Earth because
what they're doing. I think basically, if you're into the comics,
eventually the Earth six one six Marvel Comic Universe an
oft universe add an incursion, and basically what happens is
(54:54):
that the writers be like, we want you, we don't
want you, we don't want you, we don't want you,
and now we all want the universes and why now
there's two Spider Man in the universe Contradas and Peter Parker.
Speaker 1 (55:04):
That's what they're working towards.
Speaker 2 (55:05):
It just be interesting to see how they actually go
about it to get there and make it all makes sense.
Speaker 1 (55:09):
In Yeah twenty seven, I think if they wait long enough,
they really could group in the Sony universe there too,
if they wanted to. In Secret Wars and it's like,
are we're done, we did it, it's ours enough, get
rid of it.
Speaker 3 (55:21):
The Hulks too.
Speaker 2 (55:23):
I really wish to ifigure out a way to get the
Hulk away from Universal.
Speaker 3 (55:26):
I really wish they would.
Speaker 1 (55:27):
Kind of as long as it's scar son we're fine.
But Kevin, I guess let's talk about the ranking before
we go further into what's next, including San Diego Comic
Con based on our ranking right now, let me pull
it up. Where would you put Deadpool and Wolverine? I
think obviously it's top twenty five at least.
Speaker 3 (55:48):
Yeah, quick question, should we nouse?
Speaker 1 (55:52):
No? No, I only add Deadpool and Deadpool two. No,
we should not, because we are only doing a pure
list of Marvel Studios project I can.
Speaker 2 (56:02):
I can totally put this anywhere between ten and thirteen.
Speaker 3 (56:08):
Okay, ten for me?
Speaker 1 (56:09):
So ten you have Guardians three, Black Panther, Will kinda Forever,
iron Man, and then shun Chi and Loki's right there
at fourteen. I I think where's WandaVision WandaVision at seventeen?
Spider Man home Coming up at sixteen? I think number
(56:30):
thirteen seems right. I think for some reason I think
we've we've always held this is that iron Man is
kind of the litmus test of like, oh, that's like
perfection movies. I know, the top ten is really perfect,
gotta be as good as the very first iron Man movie,
and iron Man is just kind of timeless word than anything.
But I agree, I think thirteen is perfect for it because,
(56:52):
like we said, we gave it like eight and a quarter,
and I think that's what's what's gonna be perfect for it,
so I'm gonna save that right there. So number thirteen
Deadpool and Wolverine as of right now opening weekend for us,
Will we move it? Probably not, because our next entry
is Agatha All Along, which comes out this fall, which
(57:13):
probably won't make it past one division at the least we.
Speaker 2 (57:18):
See it because so one of its one of missions
said seventeen is our highest ranked Marvel show behind it
is Bucking When a Soldier at twenty and Miss Marvel
at twenty one. So those are the three highest ranked
Marvel shows. None are even close to those three nicely,
So that's the way it kind of worked out.
Speaker 1 (57:36):
This is the way. And obviously this year we have,
like we said, Agatha All Along, we have potentially the
spider Man freshman year show.
Speaker 3 (57:43):
I don't believe it.
Speaker 1 (57:44):
Rumor is maybe we'll get a tease. I don't think
it's gonna come this year. Especially Spider Man's happening is
the Black Panther animated show that's been being worked on,
but we haven't seen anything about that, so I doubt
that's coming out this year either.
Speaker 2 (57:58):
And we also should maybe get get it to the
twenty three of the of what's Ironheart.
Speaker 1 (58:04):
Which I think that's a January type show. I feel like,
is it.
Speaker 3 (58:07):
Gonna be before Bravy World or after Baby World?
Speaker 1 (58:11):
Anytime between Winner Soldier in the movie No, Kevin Winner
Soldiers in his own movie.
Speaker 2 (58:14):
No, actually got to call what is Captain America to
Captain America?
Speaker 1 (58:19):
Right? But Kevin, speaking of these things to come, We're
not done because while Deadpull and Wolverine talk is over,
we talked a good hour about it, we have to
talk about what went down at San Diego Comic Con,
kind of your quick hits before we get into the
big stuff at Hull h at Marvel. The Boys have
now announced a new spin offs that takes place in
(58:40):
like the nineteen.
Speaker 2 (58:42):
Fifties, I think, right, yeah, I forgot what it's called.
Speaker 1 (58:48):
Vaught Rising is what it's called. This will star Jensen
Acles as a Soldier Boy and Stormfront kind of as
they're in their original Rise of Vaught Tower and Fought
as a superhero enterprise, which I think is really dope.
I think I think Soldier Boy quickly became a fan
favorite character in the Boys, and I don't think they
(59:09):
realized it, and they're now cashing in on that.
Speaker 3 (59:12):
I mean justin eckles. What can you say Christmas charisma?
Speaker 1 (59:16):
He reallysma charisma, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (59:20):
It wasn't for Battinson's also performance in The Batman. I
actually wanted him to be Bruce Wayne Slash the Batman
in the James Gunn universe, but who knows?
Speaker 1 (59:27):
Who knows. We did get a Percy Jackson panel they
revealed season two that See of the Monsters obviously will
be season two. They showed off who will be Percy's
half brother, Tyson. It will be.
Speaker 3 (59:42):
Where's the actor's name?
Speaker 1 (59:43):
Daniel Deemer from the half of it, he will be
the Cyclops half brother. Was really cool ed. Showed up too.
Sorry Adam Copeland. I know it's copyrighted by what are
you gonna do? We know him as Edge.
Speaker 3 (59:54):
He is Adam Copeland, the rated R superstar.
Speaker 1 (59:57):
Damn it. D see he really didn't have too much
obviously we knew. We did get a trailer for Creature Commandos,
which looks interesting. I think that's definitely a wait till
it's all out show to watch it. But we did
get a new trailer for the Penguin which was cool,
which is technically an Elseworld's project, but we did get
the big reveal that the DC logo has now gone
(01:00:19):
back to its classic comic book book roots. I think
the cool thing is what they could do. The kind
of tease is the logo for Superman opening will be
like Superman's first appearance and then it flashes into the
DC logo, So it'll be like that for like Batman
or Wonder will Yeah. Yeah, I still say that.
Speaker 2 (01:00:35):
One of the biggest obstacles I think the DC universe
will have is James Gun's e collecticness. M hm. He
made us love an eagle, he made us love a raccoon.
But you can't do that every movie.
Speaker 1 (01:00:46):
You can't do it every damn movie, all right, you
can't love every damn creature that's in the movie.
Speaker 3 (01:00:52):
Yeah. So I'm home for good things though, because I
think Superman's gonna be great.
Speaker 1 (01:00:56):
Yeah uh. And then the the kind of the highlight.
I think big events and Comic CON's over now. But
it happened on Saturday Saturday, right or was that Sunday Saturday? Correct?
Was Marvel's Hall h panel. Kind of the small news
of things really compared to everything else that happen and
went down we found out Captain America Brave New World
(01:01:17):
got new footage that they're kind of planning to rebuild
The Avengers. Obviously off of this, we knew the cast
mimable moment was Harrison Ford showing that he actually did
the moke gap for Hulk. He's just doing Red Hulk. Sorry,
whatever the hell he wants Tony on Ah, which was
funny and has been memed out the wazoo. We also
(01:01:37):
found out that John Carlos Posito's character will not be
the character we all thought it was. He'll be actually
playing Seth Vulkar aka Sidewinder, the Leader aka King of
the Serpent Saiety Seth Rollins. He's confirmed, yo, I mean.
Speaker 2 (01:01:53):
Good because I think he was cut from the original version,
so if they got him in this version, that'd be great.
Speaker 1 (01:01:58):
Then we got first footage of The Thunderbolts ahead of
its twenty twenty five premiere that's also coming out next
year with Captain America, Brave New World and Fantastic for Uh.
We found out through interviews that Bucky's actually going to
be a Congressman, which I thought was a cool little
take they took from What If, which was cool, and
that Hannah Jo Cammon will be coming back as ghost
(01:02:22):
And it was funny because we David Harber did show
up in costume as Alexi aka Red Guardian, no one
else did. But we did get confirmation that Wyatt Russell
obviously will be back as US agent. And that's what
the hell is his name? It's Bill, Bill Pullman's son.
Oh mad shoot, Lewis Pullman. There you go. Who we
(01:02:45):
all know is Bob from Top Gun. Maverick will be
playing a Bob in this movie. Otherwise he'll known as
he'll be Sentry in this movie. And we also.
Speaker 2 (01:02:57):
Sebastian sand said that the new Black Widow is going
to be like the standout. Florence's gonna be the stand
up for this movie. But I think it's cool.
Speaker 1 (01:03:04):
I think makes sense. She's got to be she's got
to be the heart, and he's obviously kind of the leader,
I guess of that team. Of just how we've connected
with those characters so far.
Speaker 3 (01:03:13):
I don't know if she knows the chic to get
his arm off.
Speaker 1 (01:03:15):
Maybe well apparently you put it in a dishwasher and
the footage is shown. Also they did see there was
footage with and comic CON's always weird, Like you get
tweets of what the footage was, we don't get to
see the footae unless it's leaked that potentially the Thunderbolts
took over Avengers Tower. Potentially maybe we finally might find that.
Speaker 3 (01:03:36):
Way a government, a government of.
Speaker 2 (01:03:40):
Government has all the money in the world, so they
can buy a building and okay, here's where you guys
need to stay.
Speaker 1 (01:03:45):
But we also know, thanks to another announcement, that in
a different universe which The Fantastic Four takes place in,
that the Avengers Tower is actually the Baxter Building for
Fantastic four either HQ and.
Speaker 2 (01:03:58):
Also now Fantastic it's called the Fantastic First Steps.
Speaker 1 (01:04:01):
Which just called it the Fantastic Four and be fine,
Like they worked for The Batman, Batman the Batman, they
can change the name again. They change probably they probably yeah,
we may just call it for.
Speaker 3 (01:04:16):
Stick again for Stick.
Speaker 1 (01:04:17):
Two, but they did officially said they started production. It
is set in a retro futuristic version of the sixties
that kind of got laked least screenshots which look cool.
We see him in sort of the blue Baby Blue
Powder Suits is kind of their like Space Suits is
the geared up and going to space and get turned
into the heroes they are. We do get shadows of
(01:04:39):
what the thing will look like, kind of write out
of the comics and make sense because they haven't done
any the animations for it, so it's just a shadow.
Speaker 2 (01:04:48):
Also put show that there will be a giant being
named Galactus and he was peering through a building, so
it won't be a cloud.
Speaker 1 (01:04:56):
We can kind of see cloudy like no Bades full
blown Daddy Glactis deep as his voice take a bite
out of our planet like apple. He hung wear silver
surfer at But I thought it was really cool, and
they did show off the there's a fantastic car. I
just really said it. Yeah, it flew through the arenas
(01:05:19):
like a drone or something, which is cool. See what
it potentially will look like. But then we got to
the end of the presentation. Things one more than were
technically two more things because this could have been the
showstopper ender of haul H the first announcement that they
said no, we got another one after that because one more,
one more extra thing because we found out it's confirmed
(01:05:42):
that Joe and Anthony Russo the Russo Brothers, Agbo films
on TikTok, which we've all seen their fun Little TikTok,
which was fun. They went viral during the pandemic because
it was like their interns filming what they did. Are
coming back to direct the next two Avengers movies. Technically
Avengers five and six even six will be called Secret Wars,
(01:06:03):
which is coming out May twenty twenty seven. Then Hall
as I think it will. I think that's definitive a
great title. And then that's May twenty twenty seven. But
a year before May twenty twenty six, two years from
now ish, the Hall turned green Avengers Doomsday, and they said,
(01:06:24):
to play a pivotal and iconic character who is complex
like that, Well, you have to have a special someone.
I'll come out of a field of doctor Dooms. There's
one special one in an actual doctor Doom outfit that
looks like he was fitted for it. Because Kevin, who
is revealed that will be playing Doctor Doom in both
(01:06:45):
of these Avengers movies.
Speaker 3 (01:06:47):
Robert Doomy Junior.
Speaker 1 (01:06:49):
Doomy Junior from now on will be called that as
he's playing Doctor Doom. Now, obviously we don't know what
this is. Is he a variant? Is he a Tony
Stark that took on the mantle of doctor Doom, which
is president in the comic which I talked about with
the Funko Pop too. But he popped up on the mask.
He says, what can I tell you, I like playing
complicated characters, new mask, same task.
Speaker 2 (01:07:12):
Well, the thing about it and this is too because
it could be confused with some people that he is
not an evil version of Iron Man, but this version
is he is a Tony Stark who maybe didn't have
the events of Afghanistan and meeting Gensen in the cave
kind of changed his life around and put him towards
something else.
Speaker 3 (01:07:31):
This could be a guy who just like, no, I like.
Speaker 2 (01:07:33):
Being a warmonger, you know what, I'm going to keep
doing this, and just keeps doubling down and doubling down,
and suddenly he is Doom for the word.
Speaker 1 (01:07:40):
And in the comics I saw there are a bunch
of tiktoks. Obviously after this happened, he doesn't necessarily say
he's doctor Doom, but he hears Doctor Doom, and then
he gets transported into the main Earth or six one
six of the comics at that point and becomes the
Iron Maniac as a villain. Yeah, and it's a whole thing.
(01:08:02):
I think the big thing you have to do, whether
it is Doomsday or Secret Wars, is you have to
have an interactive Pete or whoever's left or the Avengers
thinking oh, Tony's back, and then he's like, no, I'm not,
and then like blows up the place or kills somebody. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:08:17):
And then the other thing too, they say in the
comics books, is not every Doctor Doom in the compos
is Victor von Doom. Sometimes one time it was doctor Strange.
He was doctor Doom. So and that's the other thing
that's scary about this Tony. Tony was the guy that
figured out time travel a random evening and in his office.
Speaker 1 (01:08:33):
So I imagine if he puts all that focus and
no kids, so he.
Speaker 2 (01:08:39):
Already knows how to how to break the laws of
physic and build a suit of armor and fly in
the space, all the kind of stuff. So putting that
brain power into that and also figuring out how sorcery
works and it comes in it all into one thing,
then comes do doctor Doctor Doom is the master of
technology and sorcery kind of honestly.
Speaker 1 (01:08:56):
And in the comics there's precedents. I know there's some
versions where he kind of is the cause of Secret
Wars that kind of happened at the same time, or
at least an antagonist during that, So it makes sense obviously.
They we just know a little bit of info now,
a lot of bit more of inference more than everything.
They didn't clarify if he's popping up in Fantastic four
as a Doctor Doom, but they did clarify that the
(01:09:19):
Fantastic Four will be in Avengers Doom's Day. So I
have a feeling Avengers Doom's Day is going to take
place mostly with that Fantastic Four, maybe a couple of
the new heroes, maybe Falcon, maybe Dead Pull Wolverine. Maybe
they save them for Secret Wars. And then it me
Doctor Strange pops up finally again with his third eye
(01:09:39):
in the middle of his head. But it is Secret
Wars where you bring everybody back. Kevin, what you said,
you didn't hear that?
Speaker 3 (01:09:48):
Ober line?
Speaker 1 (01:09:50):
Pretty cool?
Speaker 3 (01:09:51):
Every everyone, uh said everyone?
Speaker 1 (01:09:56):
I think that makes the sense, And I know a
lot of people are upset of like, oh, Doctor Done
has this such rich history in the comics and all
this stuff. I think you set up fantastic for if
they're doing Galactus now, I think that's who you have
be your new Batty A fantastic for two whenever that
happens in twenty twenty eight or nine. But it is
(01:10:16):
the actual variant of Doctor Doom, whatever happens that the
end of Secret Wars is not Tony and it's something else,
someone else that Jamie Lanister, the actor who plays him,
as a lot of people wanted a doctor.
Speaker 2 (01:10:28):
Everybody was saying this cheapens Tony Stock's death in an.
Speaker 1 (01:10:34):
A baby Welcome to comic This dark.
Speaker 3 (01:10:36):
Is I hate to say to you, Tony fuck is dead.
He's gone, He's not coming back.
Speaker 1 (01:10:39):
Our town dark. It's going to be I hate you
three thousand, now I love you three thousand.
Speaker 3 (01:10:44):
Which goes back to what we're talking about before anchor beings.
Speaker 1 (01:10:47):
Yes full circle, which you looked up where I was
been going on. This is kind of a lot of
people thinking about this is that, you know Logan being
the anchor being of his universe and then Earth ten
zero zero five people thinking that who is the anchor
being of Earth six one six the MCU as we
know it, keV, I.
Speaker 2 (01:11:06):
Think it's Tony Stark and I mean, whether you like
the multiverse acca or not, A lot of way stuff's happening.
Speaker 1 (01:11:14):
Laughs of weird things are going on. Not King though,
King tossed out, toss the trash. Don't care about him
no more?
Speaker 3 (01:11:19):
Yeah can't. King kN got trapped to a smaller universe
and a quantominia.
Speaker 1 (01:11:22):
That's Santa King and King that's what he is.
Speaker 2 (01:11:24):
He didn't make at the book, so he's that's it done.
But a lot of word things are gonna be going on.
So maybe that's because the anchor being was Tony Stark,
but it's also I don't think this is true to
the argument is to be said that maybe it's Doctor
Strange because in an interview, Kevin Foggy said kind of
in words that doctor Strange is the anchor of the
(01:11:46):
universe because no one else can handle the events of.
Speaker 3 (01:11:48):
The Multiverse of Madness.
Speaker 1 (01:11:50):
So it could be one of the two.
Speaker 3 (01:11:51):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (01:11:52):
I do think even though Multiverse Madness, even though a
man was a billion dollars, it wasn't received well as
other movies will have, I still think he's a very
very important character in the MCU.
Speaker 1 (01:12:01):
Regardless. I think it's also we talked about this dared
Wanda vision. When they first tease that, like the Nexus
pill or whatever, when it was one of those random commercials,
was that a nexus being is essentially an anchor being
of a universe, and they just made it MCUI fied
of being an anchor being, making more sense of Oh,
that makes sense of what the hell is the nexus thing?
(01:12:22):
But I think it could be really cool. I think
above all else, hey, you put butts back in seat
for at least Avengers five of Robert Downey Junior's back.
How is it going to be a villain? Apparently people
are onearthing that he did want to play Doctor Doom
at one point, whether it was in the MCU or
was the Fantastic Four movies from back in the day.
(01:12:42):
So it'll be really interesting to see how that kind
of wit and charm were used to being for Tony
Stark as a good guy. How that will look like
as a villain now.
Speaker 2 (01:12:52):
So going back to the ancer being point, it also
occurament to be made that anchor being is Wanda.
Speaker 1 (01:12:58):
Maybe, hey, there was a Wanda. There was a wander
stat Wanda statue, and dead Pool Wolverine, So we don't
know if she's dead.
Speaker 2 (01:13:05):
We just know she's not around right now, so that
could be a thing as well. And also do you
talk about what's next? So the other rumor in any
window out there about this one secret Wars happened in
twenty twenty seven. This has been a multiverse saga before
we had the the Finnsons Infinity saga. Next is gonna
be the Mutant saga apparently, and my idea, which will
(01:13:29):
never happen, but it's my idea and I think they
should do it. I don't really want another X Men
two hour movie to introduce me some X Men will recruits.
Speaker 1 (01:13:40):
Them espe's because we would have probably three seasons of
X ninety seven by then too. But that's what I
was saying. I will.
Speaker 3 (01:13:46):
Actually I wish what.
Speaker 2 (01:13:48):
They MC would do would do is invest a Game
of Thrones level budget into a Professor X slash cool
for gifted children's show, okay, and take your time six
seven episodes, build that up into the X Men movie
over like a year or two. So I have two
seasons of him finding Cyclops, finding Storm in Africa, finding Beast,
(01:14:13):
and then maybe the last episode could be Weapon X
and then we go into the movie and we gotta
figure out how to get Weapon X away from whoever
wants to get them for the reason.
Speaker 1 (01:14:23):
Yeah, I think the thing that's interesting is what we're
excited for dead whatever it is now they have to
We would hope Secret Wars resolves. It is Hugh Jackman's
probably coming back for Secret Wars. How do you set
up an X Men without a Wolverine because that is
the number one X Man, you know, Yeah, I know,
(01:14:45):
I know there's rumors of it. There's rumors they now
technically I forgot to mention this that at the end
of the Marvels, Oh yeah, her, what is it Monica
Rambo or Maria Rambo.
Speaker 3 (01:14:59):
Maria Rambo.
Speaker 1 (01:15:00):
Rambo ends up as being a Captain Marvel. She ends
up in a in a different No, wait, what is it? No, sorry,
it's Monica Rambo ends up in a universe where the
X Men, yeah, or in real and her mom is
actually Captain Marvel. At universe. You also find out that
Kelsey Grammer's beast is in that universe. I hope makes sense.
(01:15:23):
That's Earth ten zero zero five and that's how you
connect the two there again. Yeah, but but I think
at the end of the day, it's it. You have
to figure out what the X Men is, all right,
everyone knows that. Everyone you know. You know Wolverine, you
know Professor Ax, you know Cyclops and Magneto. Everyone knows
those ones, and it varies where else where else. You now,
(01:15:44):
if you're gonna start a new team, I think the
rumor people have said it's gonna be Iceman, Angel and
Beast and all that. Like you gotta have the tease
of what's to come at least because I know those
are kind of the original X Men at one point.
Speaker 2 (01:15:55):
Because we know we have two mutants so far. We
know that Miss Marvels a mutant and some else is
a mutant. You can't remember who was, But no, I'm
thinking of the m the ts at the the end
of the Marvels. Yeah, so that's kind of we're getting
our mutant satisfaction from right now. I don't know, because
where you go from there, like you said, but you
(01:16:15):
need to start kind of just trinkling strinckling it and
maybe that that's part of the of the Cecaret war thing.
And then when when these two universes merged, it's also
a reset. So maybe that's how we also we get
a new to child. That's how we get a new
iron Man, and we can kind of google start building
blocks for it again. And it has the MCU that
we all know and love, but that MCU is dead
(01:16:37):
because of this incursion.
Speaker 3 (01:16:38):
Now we have a new MCU.
Speaker 1 (01:16:39):
I think. Also, this is just something kind of to
wrap it up, but to keep in mind, one secret
war happens in May twenty seven. The MCU will be
twenty years old practically at that point if you count
an iron Man one at two thousand and eight.
Speaker 2 (01:16:53):
So this weekend they went over thirty billion dollars in
a lifetime revenue over all the movies. I mean, granted
it's what twenty nine to thirty movies something like that
at this point, but still thirty billion.
Speaker 3 (01:17:06):
I don't think things bonds me thirty billion dollars.
Speaker 1 (01:17:08):
It has not, No, you're correct it. But it's just
something interesting to keep in mind is that we're getting
wildly We're getting close to the twenty year mark of
the MCU, which is a generation we haven't This is unprecedented.
We haven't really had a I mean Star Wars, I
guess technically, but like continually throughout the entire generation put
out projects. So we just to see, like you're kind
(01:17:30):
of hinting at, is that twenty year mark the end
the secret or is the reset mark of all right, Hey,
well we have new kids here that we're born in
like twenty fifteen, You're like, good lord, the twenty fifteen
year olds are thirteen and twenty twenty eight. And that's
the thing about it.
Speaker 2 (01:17:46):
Like my nephew Wat took him to see Iron Man.
He was literally eight, eight or nine years old. Now
two thousand and eight, he's gonna be like starting, not starting,
but I mean he's a full fletch.
Speaker 1 (01:17:57):
Adult now, you know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (01:17:59):
So and so that'd be twenty eight is five years now,
he'll be in his thirties.
Speaker 1 (01:18:04):
Aaron gralsaid, the fact that we're this close to Avengers
ten more than we are the Aventures quim at this point.
Speaker 2 (01:18:12):
It's really true. One was twenty twelve. That was twelve
years ago. We're twelve years moved from the first.
Speaker 1 (01:18:18):
Vengers movie, and you want to feel real the Avengers
that game came out in twenty nineteen, it was five
years ago.
Speaker 2 (01:18:23):
We've actually had we've passed, we've passed the year endgame
takes place to because there was a five year jump.
Speaker 1 (01:18:29):
We're catching up to where they are in the MCU.
All he had to do is wait a year. Essentially,
it's crazy. But if anything, Hey, Marvel's still chugging and
if anything gives us stuff talk about on this podcast
above anything.
Speaker 2 (01:18:44):
Yeah, I'm really excited about what potentially could happen in
the next stick of warts is going to be fun.
And then always brings back to Bona's like my favorite
construct of the MCU because it's just so much.
Speaker 1 (01:18:58):
Something happens to me.
Speaker 2 (01:19:00):
There's a comic book where basically T'Challa renders all by
brand Inert because he wants to stop doomsday dooms forgetting it.
Speaker 1 (01:19:10):
That's on the.
Speaker 3 (01:19:11):
Table right now.
Speaker 1 (01:19:12):
That's cool. We got to mention on the table too,
adamantium coming from the turtle, the celestial e turtle thiggies,
So find that out and Brave New World forgot about that.
Speaker 2 (01:19:22):
I think adamantium is melted so it can be used.
So maybe they figure out a way to chip off
a piece of it, melt it down.
Speaker 1 (01:19:27):
And make next What do you think? What do you think?

ignore what's going on in the real world.
Speaker 3 (01:19:56):
Ye I gotta find me another screen and again, find.
Speaker 1 (01:19:59):
Me a screen. Hmm, what's this phone in front of me?
And just watch it on TikTok.
Speaker 3 (01:20:03):
