on Joker too.
Speaker 2 (01:43):
Joker too fully fully who folio.
Speaker 1 (01:49):
But you can see everything we're talking about today so
much more. We're going to Hot ninety nine to five
dot com slash Graces screw stay up today on that
nerdy news you need to know at Infinite Underscore Buds

interact with us live when we record the podcast or
on demand of their own accord.
Speaker 3 (02:10):
Go to on demand and watch this on YouTube dot
complish if underscore pods all episodes are there. You can
see how we reacted things in the announced, how we're
reacted to the first trailer, how are you react to the
whole thing.
Speaker 2 (02:19):
It's all there for you in one nice little package.
Speaker 3 (02:22):
And then watch this live twice and we can go
twisch dot tv sesh even Underscore pods and join your
fellow crisis cammembers and the chat and have some fun.
Speaker 1 (02:28):
Yeah, And I just want to say, why is it
always cloudy now? Can it? Can you just have someone
say like we had sun a couple of days and
then I'm just back to cloudy again.
Speaker 2 (02:37):
We we we are in two different states right now,
but we're not that far away. Why is it dark
where you are?
Speaker 1 (02:42):
In light where no good dark? The darkness will come
to you, Devin, don't you worry. I'm the little canaryan
I'm the canary in the coal mine for you whether
you're gonna get. But we always start the podcast properly
talk about what we've been doing, watch you doing? We
talked about the shows and movies we've been watching, games
(03:04):
we've been playing, lives we've been living. And because it
is Monday, Kevin, you get to go first.
Speaker 2 (03:12):
So what have I been doing? I've been doing the
dad thing lately.
Speaker 3 (03:16):
My wife went to a party on Saturday night, so
it just me and the kids, and then somebody offered
to take Leah out with her her cousin, so it
was me and the kid so that was kind of cool.
Me and Curen just kind of hung out all afternoon
and watch so I forgot I.
Speaker 1 (03:30):
Forgot you have to tell me. Yeah, that was funny.
Speaker 2 (03:33):
I saw that that and something else too, But I forgot.
My wife got a subscription to Paramount Paramount Plus through
Amazon Prime, but it's only available through her and through
her Prime her Prime profile on Amazon Prime Video, so
I forgot. I always get his de because not be
able on mine.
Speaker 3 (03:50):
So I went on there on Friday night. I was like,
you know, I haven't watched it in a while, Daddy Phantom.
Speaker 1 (03:55):
So does it still hold up? Man?
Speaker 2 (03:58):
It's so good.
Speaker 3 (04:01):
I've been pretty much watched it all weekend. I watched
it all day Friday. I watched it was my go
to sleep.
Speaker 2 (04:07):
Show on Friday night, watch it on Friday night, basically
watches and watch it all Saturday with care until to
be bad blackame one. Uh Man, butch Hartman that we
didn't deserve that show and that show was way to.
Speaker 1 (04:19):
Do what he was doing, Like, I.
Speaker 2 (04:22):
Know we didn't fail our parents. And what's a tough puppy?
The other one is called uh yeah, but Danny Danny Phantom,
Like I Danny Phantom was made today, that'd be like
a top flight was like invincible. I feel like because I.
Speaker 1 (04:36):
Feel like Phantom. It came out two thousand and four,
so is too O seven.
Speaker 2 (04:42):
Will say probably yeah.
Speaker 1 (04:44):
Avatar Last Airbender two thousand and five. I feel like
Avatar got the shine during that time and it still
got the shine and it overshadowed everything else that was
coming out the air That was cool.
Speaker 3 (04:54):
Because I mean, like you know, prime primetime specials of
like him fighting like a uh a ghost King and
him find himself in the k It was so good,
like in like for a child show was tight writing.
Speaker 1 (05:07):
It was peak TV when it was the fairly odd
parent specials on Nickelodeon of like oh Timmy's going to
the future or like oh no, and it was like
it was like it was essentially just like three big
episodes and that was it. But it was it was
it was event TV you came in for and watch.
Speaker 3 (05:23):
There's some dark Philly apparent theories about how much of
a jerk Timy Turner actually is, like this one where
basically he lives in the time loop so he ages
gets to a point he reverts back.
Speaker 1 (05:32):
No, that's confirmed in one of the I think one
of the final seasons, he's like, yeah, we're we've been
ten for like eighty four years or something and then
and like no one remembered even him, and then the
sequel show or the the new show that's on Paramount. Uh.
It's also like confirming theories people had about the shows
and stuff. It's crazy.
Speaker 3 (05:53):
I do wish in my heart of hearts if I
went out and one of the mega millions for like
one of the he's like the one point seven billion
dollars literally drive to not drive.
Speaker 2 (06:01):
But I'll take a flight and I'm rich.
Speaker 3 (06:03):
Now take a flight to California and like, hey, Nio,
how much money do you need for Danny Phantom live action?
Speaker 1 (06:07):
I want it. I want it to make it happen.
Speaker 2 (06:10):
Three million. Here you go, do the thing.
Speaker 1 (06:12):
I want to see the thing. We got to wait.
Once Avatar takes off on Paramount Plus truly, then we
can see all these other things take off, you know.
Speaker 3 (06:19):
Then it led to me looking up dark fantasy videos
on TikTok, so I can see what David to look
It was like in real life, pretty cool.
Speaker 2 (06:26):
Sometimes some stuff was like not safe for work.
Speaker 1 (06:31):
Fantasy.
Speaker 3 (06:32):
I thought everybody was as wholesome as I was, you know.
So we watched that a bunch, and then of course
we watched Bad Blood on Saturday night and when I
tell you, yeah, brother, the opening match was the Hell
on Sale match between Seeing Punk and Drew McIntyre, and
(06:53):
as I was a proud papa, Kira watched the whole match.
Speaker 1 (06:56):
Was probably shouldn't have watched the whole match, but it's.
Speaker 2 (07:00):
Fake, it's not real.
Speaker 3 (07:04):
But through you know, the table spot, through all the blood,
well did blood sweating tears.
Speaker 2 (07:10):
She watched the whole match that was like a twenty
twenty five minute match, and she sat there watched.
Speaker 3 (07:15):
She didn't get anty until we're do the little little
in between things in the matches.
Speaker 2 (07:19):
That's what she got. I get down.
Speaker 3 (07:20):
I want to call on the floor again. But yeah,
she watched the whole match with me. Otherwise, I mean
I watched the whole thing. Good, really good show. Wasn't
one of their greatest shows, but it's still a really
really good show, I think. And so the first match
was amazing, and the second match was Nia Jacks.
Speaker 2 (07:38):
And what was her name?
Speaker 1 (07:40):
Bailey?
Speaker 3 (07:40):
Pretty good match Damien Priest and Finn was pretty good.
It's kind of predictable, but it was still kind of
cool to see. And of course all the fall off
of the main event is ridiculous because of course the
Rock and Roman bringing home I mean sorry, and Cody
and Roman bringing home thanks to Jimmy Usso who returned
was great, and then of course the Rock returns and
(08:02):
counts one, two, three, But no knows what you talking
about is you're talking about Cody Roman and Jimmy talking
about solo to Rock and Solo Roman.
Speaker 2 (08:09):
And Code what we're talking about.
Speaker 3 (08:11):
And then after the thing, Kevin Owens jumps Cody Rot
and fought of his bus. This is so much going
on that night was just like ah, man, it's alwused termined, numbers, sting.
But the long term storytelling in WW right now is
just top notch.
Speaker 1 (08:26):
I think it is. I think it'll be interesting obviously,
like even myself and miss Eric we're talking about today
of just like yeah, they already have like if you
think about it, got like five stories in the plotline,
and like the pipelines for Mania already which October twenty fifth,
Kevin Many had tickets go on sale.
Speaker 2 (08:44):
You know your boy gets paid three times in November.
Speaker 1 (08:47):
Well October is when the tickets go on sale, so
I know, But I.
Speaker 2 (08:50):
Mean I can credita.
Speaker 3 (08:53):
Because it's kind of where we were last week, Like,
I can always buy him if I can't figure how to
get there money back?
Speaker 2 (08:59):
Is that that's not a bad thing. But I don't know, man,
I'm so, what's.
Speaker 1 (09:03):
What's the all do this? What's the temperature gauge right
now on Kevin de Mania right now? Because that also
determines the hoodie to Mania temperature gauge as well.
Speaker 2 (09:13):
It's about I would say, is all eighty degrees.
Speaker 1 (09:15):
All right, out of a potential hundred degrees overt out
of two hundred. We're doing Kelvin, We're doing Celia.
Speaker 2 (09:23):
Is the one thing that's really holding back.
Speaker 3 (09:25):
We're supposed to do is Disney trip in March, but
I'm not sure it's happen because we haven't done any
planning for it right now and it's October.
Speaker 1 (09:32):
I mean, we're fine. It's easier to do Disney planning
now than it used to be.
Speaker 3 (09:38):
That's true. That is very true. And March is int
a busy time. Lass not that you kind of walk
up to the gate and give a ticket. It's not
that bad. But yeah, it's good pretty because then there
are the other I go to that stadium because we
went to T Mobile Arena and that was amazing. Don't
see what the Staium looks like. It's one of the
newer stadiums in.
Speaker 1 (09:54):
The Probably we would expect SmackDown and raw and everything
to be in t Mobile Arena.
Speaker 3 (10:00):
I do what I do wish. I wish that that
that package they have they advertise where you can get
like premium on location, I wish that package was also
included the ticket, so like whatever that is, like I
think it's like two thousand dollars, I wish that included
a ticket. Not you get the package and you got
still buy your ticket, you know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (10:17):
Some of them do have the tickets. It just depends
what you like. You know they do. It's just they're
more expensive, and it's you don't get to pick like
you're at the Mercy for Okay, we have this section
over here. You didn't get purchased or sit them over here.
Boo boop.
Speaker 3 (10:34):
I mean, honestly, what we said last time wasn't terribly expensive.
There again, man, it wasn't cheap. It wasn't terribly expensive.
Speaker 1 (10:41):
I mean maybe on the pipeline. I need to talk
to wife and say, hey.
Speaker 2 (10:47):
John.
Speaker 1 (10:49):
Second to last wrestling and running back. Second the last WrestleMania.
Speaker 2 (10:53):
Man, I should only forgot about that. That's that's a
whole other thing about it.
Speaker 1 (10:56):
You know, this one, and then probably another one.
Speaker 3 (11:00):
It's probably another one. And then I'm also thinking about
or Rumble too, because I'm pretty sure Chuck Williams gonna
be a rumble.
Speaker 1 (11:06):
I want to see that live. Well, so the upcoming
pay premium live events if you are interested in ww
right now because I looked it up, got Halloween, have
it at the end of this month. And these are
the ones that I confirmed. Crown Jewel November two, Survivor
Series Parentheses, War Games November thirtieth in Canada, Saturday Night's
main event, Long Island, New York, which is your December
(11:28):
kind of event, really more than an ing, and that's
it really got Rumble Elimination Chamber, and then WrestleMania. It's
it's already reset.
Speaker 3 (11:38):
It's crazy, and I think I think this time last
year we kind of knew that Cody ro was gonna
win warn Rumble again, but now I had no ideas
to win the world.
Speaker 1 (11:45):
But I don't know it's gonna be seeing Punk.
Speaker 3 (11:47):
I don't know if it's gonna be Jay Uso I'm
not suldn't even.
Speaker 1 (11:52):
Be Roman third time in the charm.
Speaker 3 (11:54):
Maybe that's that's why I don't think, because I think
he's only already run it twice and they're really protective
of wrecking a stone cold.
Speaker 2 (12:01):
Has he won it three times? I don't know. I
don't know. Mother than that. Also, Raves gave me hard yesterday.
Speaker 1 (12:10):
So Kenny on, it's fun to be a d m
V fan of football now in twenty twenty four.
Speaker 2 (12:15):
And they clash next week, We'll see what happens.
Speaker 1 (12:17):
Man. So it's gonna suck because they were like all
the momentum, both team's gone right now.
Speaker 2 (12:24):
If you care about betting, Raymonds, are you a better?
Are you drafting now?
Speaker 1 (12:28):
I stay away from that because I know it's a dangerous,
slippery soap slush. I don't pay attention.
Speaker 3 (12:33):
I kind of want to try it because they give
you the money, I'll front to do it. I'm like, well,
i'll bet with your money, see what happens.
Speaker 2 (12:38):
I'll do it.
Speaker 1 (12:38):
I'm just slavery slope, Kevin. It's just like how Robin
Hood's like, oh, everyone gets a free stock, but he
will tell you what the stock is, and it's like
the hell is this metal? I've never heard of. I
haven't loved the Robin Hood in probably like three months.
How about you find when I'm doing mind what you're doing?
You do you look up your Robin hoton phone and
see if you're free stock? Just how much it is
worth now if it went up? All right?
Speaker 3 (13:00):
But other than that, Also in celebration at the beginning
of official Spooky Month, Hube Halloween got watch Yesterday.
Speaker 2 (13:09):
The best Holloway movie.
Speaker 1 (13:10):
There's a turn in that movie like we what what happened? Now?
Speaker 2 (13:14):
Okay?
Speaker 1 (13:15):
But what about you?
Speaker 2 (13:16):
But how's your weekend? Oh?
Speaker 1 (13:17):
Yeah, it was good.
Speaker 2 (13:18):
If you are ever.
Speaker 1 (13:20):
Moved or moving, you know that those last two or
few boxes are just nuisances that you just can't get
rid of. You're like, well, I don't have the energy
to get rid of them now, and I don't know
what we're gonna do with them. Well, good boy and
his wife Maura good good Ladymore finally got rid of
those boxes. We only have one box left, which is
(13:41):
technically with curtains right now because we're waiting to get
curtain rods from Prime Day fun fact that starts tomorrow.
Prime Day Deals. Check out that aph and scorpides on
socials will keep you liked with the links and you know,
on them deals. But besides that, they're gone. I realized,
you know, sometimes you got to know, did you get
rid of some things and sacrifice some things? So some
(14:02):
of the board games we're reduced, we haven't touched. Unfortunately,
we said the nam to a good cause.
Speaker 3 (14:09):
That's what I want to be, like. I want to imagine,
like you guys, like that scene from Incredibles. We are
officially moved in.
Speaker 1 (14:15):
And then oh time ago. Okay, cool, But yeah, it's fun.
I mean also it's weird to think. Also, I mean,
just because more and I've been in a relationship for forever.
We've only been married for five months, so it's it's
it's to me, it's funny to be like, oh, you
guys are nearly Like man, I'm like, oh wait, that's right.
We have only been married for five months because it
feels like that. So we have like all our wedding stuff,
(14:36):
like all the like wedding decorse stuff, and so now
we're in the process of passing it off onto John
and his brother John and is uh fiance for their
wedding and like all right, cool, and Moore is like,
do we want that back to sell? I'm like, I
don't want them back. They can just figure it out
what to do. At that point, I.
Speaker 3 (14:53):
Believe the newly weed things actually last a year, So
get you sook got like a half a year of that.
Speaker 1 (14:58):
I'm still waiting on someone's change the name, but we'll
figure that out when we get there.
Speaker 2 (15:06):
Don't push it not the right time time in climent, whenever.
Speaker 1 (15:09):
She wants to do it. We're still married legally on
paper somewhere.
Speaker 3 (15:14):
Don't feel bad about that box too, because we just
have new neighbors to move in and they got two
giant pods dropped off in their driveway. They're like, they're
like halfway done, only on one. So don't don't feel.
Speaker 1 (15:24):
They're gonna be there for a little bit. They're gonna
be there for a little bit. But on top of that,
let's see I did this is fun. I talked about
this and Luke CAFFARTI longtime listening to this podcast helped
me start dragon Ball on what the hell is it
called crunchy roll and Uh, I didn't have the patience
(15:45):
to watch all of the episodes. Instead, I said, give
me a YouTube recap that's four hours instead. I finished
that this weekend, so I know everything about the original
dragon Ball series and now I'm going to as my
like free time show of not the shows we talked about.
Start Dragon ball Z KAI because I like back in
the day, I like Bitten Pieces of pretty much the
(16:06):
Boo Saga and then playing video games of Cell. I
kind of want to watch it as an adult, just
have some appreciation for it, and Kai is the way
to go because it gets rid of them filler episodes
that dragon Ball Z is notorious for.
Speaker 3 (16:19):
It does, but I will say the music in the
fundamation original dragon Ball Z is so much better.
Speaker 2 (16:26):
So Super sayings song is go did chance?
Speaker 1 (16:30):
Here's the thing, Kevin, The animation looks better in Kai.
And then we'll get to Super Well we'll find out
it depends what happens. And then on the spooky side
of things, more and I are rewatching the is the
fifth season what we do in the shadows because the
sixth season premiere is in two weeks, which is its
final season. Fun fact, so if you wanted to binge
(16:51):
watch now, it's probably the time to watch that show
just to be ready for its final season. Fifth season
a lot of jokes slept on. I think just because
like one season one four took over TikTok and season
five good as much shine as the other seasons didn't.
Speaker 2 (17:05):
It's a funny show man.
Speaker 3 (17:06):
I mean I watched like the first five episode of
season one long time ago and just kind of just
things happened.
Speaker 1 (17:12):
I just but I was watching it.
Speaker 3 (17:14):
But what I see on TikTok sometimes is like, oh my,
this this show should be talked about everywhere.
Speaker 1 (17:18):
Like New York Citaday. It might be the most like
used that meme at all or whatever TikTok from that show.
I'm like, yeah, that was like three years ago. That's
that the actual scene happened. And then on spooky side,
a new thing we watched, I recommend you watch It's
What's Inside on Netflix. We I included that in my
little what to Watch this Weekend last weekend. It's on Netflix.
(17:43):
Coleman Domingo and is an executive producer on the film.
And that's like the biggest claim to fame this movie has.
It was that Sundance Netflix bought the rights to it.
It is a good sci fi mystery movie of essentially
body swapping. That's kind of just put us Marie on it.
But a group of friends come out, they have a
party and they have that they find this device that
(18:04):
swaps their bodies and antics involved. Really good and if
you need a movie like that, you want to talk
to your partner or whoever you're watching the movie with
of like, oh no, who's that? Now, who's this? No,
it's gotta be this. There's a good movie for that.
He's been a good body swap movie since, like the
Freaking Friday. Yeah, we're getting Freaky Friday too, you know,
next year. But this is a good holdover until we
(18:25):
get Freaky Friday too.
Speaker 3 (18:26):
That's gonna be weird because I mean, I get low
hands older now, but now was like also we're older,
so I don't know, I want to see that, you know.
Speaker 1 (18:34):
I mean it was like, all right, cool, what's what's
the difference between you and you two? Now you're bubb old,
Like all right, cool, you're forty now and or you're
thirty eight and she's like sixty. K cool. I hate that.
I'm closer for forty every day. It is what it is.
It is what it is, Kevin, That's what we've been doing.
Let us know what you've been doing like Aaron Giles
(18:54):
did in the comments Twitch dot tv, slash Infidum Square Pods.
He's reading The Dead Poole Kills the Marvel universe. Also
very fitting because the Dead pull over in and because
it's spooky.
Speaker 3 (19:04):
By the way, the other than my free stock, it
was hecla mining it. It's down sixteen cents today trading
at six dollars and forty five cents.
Speaker 1 (19:11):
And that was a free one. I gave you that
for a dollar, Kevin, Yeah, four.
Speaker 2 (19:15):
Dollars own shares and Ford I forgot about.
Speaker 1 (19:18):
That, you know now you know. Oh. Also we watch
Inside Out too. That was good. I really like that
more than like it because she was like, it's too real.
I was like, I liked it.
Speaker 2 (19:27):
That anxiety texting is that exactly gets real home? Man,
It gets too close to home the further you get
in that movie.
Speaker 1 (19:34):
But let's get on into it. It is time for
the news.
Speaker 2 (19:38):
It's time no.
Speaker 1 (19:40):
Yeah, first day. First we have to talk about today,
as is this podcast recording. Kevin marks ten years of
The Flash. No no, no, no, no, no no whoa
(20:01):
ten years ago The Flash first premiered and it is
a fun, trippy thing. Of Kevin Iron realizing when did
we start this podcast? What season the Flash? Where we're going, Well,
apparently season two or three?
Speaker 2 (20:13):
Yeah, I think we're started doing the Zoom season.
Speaker 1 (20:16):
I think you're the Zoom season.
Speaker 3 (20:19):
Because now we met way before that, but the podcast
until that at that point, at one point was like
we always have these conversations.
Speaker 2 (20:25):
I'm just talk about recorded.
Speaker 1 (20:28):
Lo and behold it's what happens.
Speaker 2 (20:29):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (20:30):
But yeah, ten years ago, Grant Gustin is the Flash,
which was wild because like it felt like the show
just ended, which it kind of did like a year
and a half ago. But uh, oddly enough, you know
everyone's gone off. Grank Gustin's on Broadway now Water for
Elephants or whatever. He has a wife. I think he's
kind of been with child, yes, and a dog correct
(20:53):
as well. We know a little too much about Greg
Gusson over there Kevin Instagram.
Speaker 2 (20:58):
What can I say?
Speaker 1 (21:00):
Real ones? As Aaron Giles says, no. When Grant Gustin
made his Berry Allen cameo, which was that kind of
Christmas soft cameo launch off into the Flash or whatever
it was, it was like the first crossover kind of
it was like, hey, year, later, get ready to see
more of him and Flash because that's what you're gonna get.
But yeah, I think, man, what a time Lady Gaga
(21:22):
Gray Star screens in that Flash premiere poker Face. Oh,
you're right, and that song was old at that time too,
would have thought. But Kevin, I'll get I'll ask you
two questions, your favorite Flash villain, and then we'll go Flash.
We'll say memory in general.
Speaker 2 (21:39):
I guess, I guess my favorite Flash villain.
Speaker 1 (21:44):
That's rough. It's rough, but he's from the later season
because he was just so ridiculous.
Speaker 2 (21:49):
But the gold guy.
Speaker 1 (21:52):
Remember, no, I was not going for Villa in the
weeks over here, but okay, you can do villains of
the He wasn't a week but he.
Speaker 3 (22:01):
Would always show up like sometimes he would help. And
his name was Keith, Keith Canyon, a notorious city s
anser knows gold Faces.
Speaker 1 (22:09):
That was his name, remember Ralph. And then we found
out he wasn't a good guy, and then they just
did their best. He he was the villain in that show.
Speaker 2 (22:21):
He was a true villain. But yeah, this got gold Face.
He would show up.
Speaker 3 (22:26):
He showed up at the Villain in the Week once
and then he kept showing up more as it's like
a villain in the city than he was Ambunet's uh
boyfriend at one point and helped the Flash take her down.
Speaker 2 (22:35):
It was weird thing. We would aways show up in
his and he was almost like a wrestler.
Speaker 1 (22:39):
You would show up ridiculous.
Speaker 3 (22:41):
Land Deliveries was like, what about watching what It's good?
I'm gonna keep watching it whatever. So yeah, I would
say a gold Face probably one of my favorite Flash villains.
Speaker 1 (22:48):
Okay mine probably I was gonna go more general. I mean,
obviously the Verse Flash is probably the top one. But
Savatar was a fun remember for this podcast because we
were like, oh who is it? Who is it? Was like, Oh,
it's just Emo Barry, damn it.
Speaker 2 (23:09):
It had a bad day.
Speaker 1 (23:10):
Barry had a bad day. Wentworth Miller as Captain Cole
is a good one too. I think I think, just
test the time, I just have Captain Cold as anti
hero now more than anything, thanks to legends, I have
more as.
Speaker 2 (23:22):
A legends him and on Firestone and he waits. He
waited had the more as legends I do.
Speaker 1 (23:29):
He did have. Man, we had so many things caut
the Flash because we had a firestorm, which is, which
was Doc Martin, Doc Stein and Jack's I think right
was his name?
Speaker 2 (23:44):
I can't remember well.
Speaker 1 (23:45):
First it was it was.
Speaker 3 (23:47):
Ronnie Ronnie died, and then it was Jack's from Legends.
He was just this British guy who put on this
really cool booklyn Accent.
Speaker 1 (23:54):
And they oh man, and they put him into Injustice too,
and nobody knew who it was unless you watch Legends
of You're like, oh, I know who that is.
Speaker 2 (24:02):
Obviously, the whole the whole eight hundred thousand people that
watch it know who he is.
Speaker 1 (24:06):
That was it.
Speaker 2 (24:07):
That was the only people that watched it.
Speaker 1 (24:09):
But yeah, I think favorite moment. I think the music.
I think the thing that show did really well was
the musical episode. It was a one and done. They
really should have done it every year. I really think
that could have been cool, especially at the time when
it was peak Arrow Verse and you had Supergirl and
I mean everyone that cast could sing to a degree,
you know, to a degree, and they running home to
(24:32):
you song and just like, oh and it's fun fact
to put that in my vowels, so private vowels.
Speaker 2 (24:39):
Cisco on that shows has an amazing voice. You're right,
it shouldn't do more.
Speaker 1 (24:42):
Yeah, they really should have done more music I don't
know what, like music Master, and it was Darren Chris.
It was a Glee reunion and were like, hell, yeah,
let's do it, and then like are we done after this?
Like what why Darren Chris isn't doing it right now?
Speaker 2 (24:55):
I remember an episode.
Speaker 3 (24:56):
I remember reviewing that when it after it happened, and
I remember where you were just gushing over it was
like sings to morowatch.
Speaker 1 (25:05):
But also the Flash for me was a big thing
for my relationship because when I moved to Seattle, that
was the thing more and I watched at the same time.
She'd watch it live and then I either watched it
at the same time in CW was it like five
o'clock or something like that. So big moments there of
the show. But if you don't want to watch the
(25:25):
entire series, at least watched the season one. I think
last two episodes I think are really good.
Speaker 3 (25:32):
Yeah, I think my favorite moment of the Flash is
probably that's what. It was a Green Arrow episode and
it was an episode where Cisco and camember her name.
She became Ice Lady. Later Caitlin Killer Frost showed up
Killer Fross. She was still Catlin at the time. She
to help Ali with something to figure something out, and
(25:53):
they would to go fight Boomerang Kevin Boomerang and they
were like, you're not gonna get there in time. So
you're here the Green Arrow music playing and then dripping
dropping their motorcycle and then you just hear.
Speaker 2 (26:03):
Dun and then it shows very running running too. Uh
what was it?
Speaker 1 (26:09):
Scoop up the boomerang, take it away?
Speaker 3 (26:12):
It was so cool and it's like one of my
favorite moments. And and Eve though it wasn't a flash episode,
it was Green Everer episode. It's one of my favorite
moments because it's just like that's when you feel like this.
Speaker 2 (26:19):
Is all one world.
Speaker 1 (26:20):
It is. It's kind of like dar to the fy
we're doing it. But it is funny how uh you
know five years ago us would be very ashamed of
us because we just pretty much information dumped and forgot everyone,
like I don't remember that guy, Like five years ago
were like, oh that guy boo.
Speaker 3 (26:39):
It's crazy because I mean the way the world moves now,
like once something is done, you're done with it, Like
think about stranger things I have. I don't really remember
anything that happened and season besides, Eddie died running up
that hill, Run up the hill. So like when that starts,
I go to start over again with that show cause
I don't remember anything from it. This is the way
the world moves now if you're not Revant at.
Speaker 1 (26:58):
The moment, I know anything about Joey, but that's not
what your favorite flash memory is at IF and underscore
pods as well. But Kevin, let's go from one DC
property to the other. Joker fole I Do It ain't
doing too hot at the box office has actually the
lowest rated score on cinema score of any superhero movie,
(27:20):
even lower than Madam Webb and Morbius.
Speaker 2 (27:25):
They say, when you aim to fail, a'm high. I
guess so, good job.
Speaker 1 (27:32):
Good for you. I don't know. But as of right now,
Joker fole I Do sitting at a thirty three percent
on Rotten Tomatoes, thirty one percent Tomato met or Popcorn Meter, sorry,
which is the new audience score right now? Kevin, what's
his box office at? You love box office? Now?
Speaker 2 (27:50):
What is at forty million domestically?
Speaker 1 (27:51):
Which is not good?
Speaker 2 (27:53):
Not great?
Speaker 1 (27:54):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (27:56):
I think this movie we actually was in the high
one hundreds to make, even though the person.
Speaker 1 (27:59):
It was two hundreds to make, actually Kevin two hundreds
okay most of that, Lady Gaga probably probably so.
Speaker 3 (28:07):
Yeah, forty million domestic, eighty one million internationally. So this
this movie is gonna have to kick, kick and crawl
to break even, because that's just that's just a budget.
It's not even affectory marketing.
Speaker 1 (28:16):
Yep, not other stuff. So notoriously pundits and fun insiders
that do masks that we don't that we just read
about the mass I have said that, uh, Joker full
I Do did worse than The Marvels and Madam Webb
this year, which is wild because I feel like at
those times we all are like, oh, the Marvels or
(28:37):
I know the Marvels was last year technically, but like
they like were the ones that showed that superhero movies
were dying well dead poo Wolverine came in said, no,
they're still alive, and then Joker full a Do said,
ain't nobody liked the movie about the Joker.
Speaker 2 (28:52):
Yeah, it's funny.
Speaker 3 (28:54):
I told you guys left it. I rewatched The Marbles
last week. It's not it's not like a ten out
of ten, but the movie isn't terrible. I don't think
you deserve the hate of God. But I tell you,
the people that really hate to joke a movie really
hate the joker bood. Like sometimes you see these movies
(29:14):
like this, I feel like like the Marvels, even to
a degree, thor Alt and Thunder even ant Man, They're like, well,
I didn't like it that much, but you watch it
and see how do you feel about it?
Speaker 1 (29:25):
Not this like, no, don't go see its tartone everybody, Yeah,
which I talked about it last week. Aaron Grales kind
of healthed with that too. We both were at the
screening of it that I hosted. Granted, I guess tea
or a little star here. I hosted a screening for it,
but didn't alter my opinion of it. Though I didn't
enjoy it. I think there's too much musical just I
(29:49):
think just to have musical sake. There's a theory, conspiracy
theory that Lady Guy guys kind of like cutting her
losses on these movies. She released the album and that's
why she's teeing up to release an action album later
this month, which is why Die with a Smile wasn't
on the Joker album and it's for her album instead.
Speaker 2 (30:08):
That's my song.
Speaker 1 (30:09):
I get the I get the Bruno song, you get
all the old timey songs instead.
Speaker 2 (30:14):
Exactly here's love game came with that you can't.
Speaker 1 (30:18):
Okay, that's fine, but yeah, I think listen to the
last week's episode for our full thoughts on it. I
know we have a Batman interview. This is gonna go
to the bottom of it. I'm gonna say, like I think,
flat out, oh, even over the snider cut, it's going
on the bottom.
Speaker 3 (30:36):
I mean say to one about Black Adams like that
was a little more watchable. Mm hm, you know what
I mean, Black Black I'm a superman. That they didn't
have that spoiler alert.
Speaker 1 (30:45):
But it was.
Speaker 3 (30:46):
We didn't expect it, but they didn't. That's a little annoying. Uh,
tomated two kids in Black Adam watch more than that.
I haven't seen the second Shazan movie. Imagine it might be.
Speaker 2 (30:57):
What do you think.
Speaker 1 (30:59):
Here's the thing. I just looked at the list, Kevin,
I forgot Catwoman's on this list. Say it's better than Catwoman.
I'll say it's better than Catwoman.
Speaker 2 (31:11):
Okay, the acting a loan Catwoman?
Speaker 1 (31:15):
Yes, I mean in the actors alone in the calory.
But here's our Batman ranking in case you forgot. Keep
in mind, this one's still relevant because we have the penguin.
We have to add prom middle of November Dark Knight
number one. You have the Batman, you have Batman eighty nine,
Batman begins, Dark Knight rises, Mask the Phantasm, Batman returns, Lego, Batman, Batman,
(31:38):
were Superman, Batman Forever Justice League, which we I think
we just grouped with the Snyder cut Batman and Robin.
Then we had Joker the first one, then Joker Foley
I do now Catwoman. So hey, it is what it is.
Speaker 2 (31:53):
That's pretty what it is.
Speaker 1 (31:54):
It is what it is.
Speaker 2 (31:55):
Actors got paid, the crew got paid.
Speaker 3 (31:58):
If they have points on the movie, maybe it won't
get paid that much off of it because they nobody
want to see it no more. But they should have
paid up front because if you were paying based on performance,
you'd be pretty statured.
Speaker 1 (32:07):
Now that is true, That is true. But moving on, Kevin,
that's our thoughts on the Joker to something that's also
celebrating an anniversary, kind of like the Flash Alien Isolation,
you know that video game we talked to you. I
talked to you heavily about a month ago when the
Alien what the hell was that movie called Romulus came
out there you go, well, hey, it's celebrating its anniversary
(32:30):
as well, and in honor of that, our good old
friends at Disney said, hey, you know what we saw,
how people liked the Alien Rominas, We're gonna give you
a sequel. Maybe about five years after your.
Speaker 3 (32:40):
Game came out, there heard so many good things about
this game, not alone the AI used to.
Speaker 1 (32:48):
Oh sorry, ten years after your game first came out,
the AI and the.
Speaker 3 (32:53):
Game design used to actually make that game work are
just fascinating. It's like a AI watching a AI watching
a AI watching you like it's crazy.
Speaker 1 (33:02):
While you're watching it exactly, and after.
Speaker 2 (33:06):
Robins came out.
Speaker 3 (33:06):
I believe we've seen this a couple of times this
year with what it was a falloutast.
Speaker 1 (33:12):
Of us last year.
Speaker 3 (33:14):
Yeah, it pretty much the show now will drop people
to the game, which is pretty cool. So maybe with
that little bump from from the movie, we can see
another game which which which was really fun.
Speaker 2 (33:25):
I mean I haven't played it in a while.
Speaker 3 (33:27):
I think I played it when it launched like twice,
and then it's gonna get it just kind of faded
away because I done things going on, but I'm happy
to see it and they're thinking about getting another sequel.
Speaker 2 (33:37):
That's fun.
Speaker 1 (33:37):
Yeah, I think it's really cool. Disney is still working
with Sega on it, so the same team that made
the first one. They're going to try to get things
rolling again. Obviously people have left and changing all that
good stuff, but it will be a story set that
takes place after the first one. I know some dal
see in there, and it's kind of its own cannon
kind of alien rhymelesses as well because you play as
Ripley's daughter, which isn't real actual movies yet or shows
(34:02):
a band. By the way, Ripley's daughter, that's a fun fact.
We do have Alien Earth, which I think comes out
in January, which is show the Show, which we'll figure
out how that cannon is. But that could be good.
It'll be dark on your TV, so make sure you
get lighting accordingly. But just a cool thing of hey,
once again, play that game perfect time. It came out
(34:24):
Spooky Season ten years ago and it's on sale for
seven dollars right now on PlayStation and Xbox, So you
need a spooky game. That's it.
Speaker 3 (34:32):
You cannot be the seven dollar games, so please please
pick that up a few that is able to at
work price.
Speaker 1 (34:38):
And then Kevin, before we get into the Penguin, let's
talk about Halo because our good friends that no longer
three four three Industries but now known as Halo Studios
have announced you're working on the next Halo No due.
Speaker 2 (34:55):
No dip, the one franchise that's that stood at the
time through all versions of.
Speaker 1 (34:59):
Xbox still going, really still going, all right, appreciate it,
but yeah, so it came out yesterday, uh three four
three Industries, which is a spinoff of Bungee. At one
point three four three Industries made Halo Reach and then
Bungee left and then they kind of took over after
Bungee left to go.
Speaker 2 (35:17):
And make Destiny and all the other games they make.
Speaker 1 (35:19):
Now really it's just desty at this point, but they
said that they're rebranding into Halo Studios. So don't ex
I think it's smart, because like, tell us what you are,
because yeah, and at this point it's like, don't expect
us to expect you to make something different besides Halo
games right now, because that's what Xbox wants out of you,
(35:41):
and it's paying you for We're Handle Studios. Here's a platformer.
Speaker 2 (35:44):
No, I don't want a platforms.
Speaker 1 (35:46):
I want that. I don't want Stalions Base. But the
main thing is they're kind of saying, hey, we're kind
of refocusing on the Halo franchise, retooling it, regrouping it.
You know, we had Halo Infinite, which felt like I
came out yes last year, but I don't actually remember
when it came twenty twenty one. My god, I thought
(36:07):
that came out last year. Yeah, time, which says more
than anything too. Halo franchise kind of lacking, kind of
not dying, but it's just kind of there, not really
top of mind as it used to be back in
the late two thousands.
Speaker 2 (36:23):
You know, I want to say Call of Duty.
Speaker 3 (36:28):
Destiny also was another one, Borderlands I feel like trampled
on Fortnite, Gears of War two, not two, but Gears
of War also, I should say to the second one.
But I feel like all those games kind of trampled
on it shine a little bit, and it never really recovered.
Speaker 1 (36:47):
Yeah, I think I remember us. Like the main thing
we were really excited for was when Halo Infinite came out.
We're like, all right, finally this Halo Battle Royale game
is going to come out, and that's what's gonna finally. Like, hey,
Call of Duty did it very well. You know they
were laid to the party, but they did it very well.
And we still have war Zone going on, thinking, all right,
we'll Call of Duty and Halo were kind of the
(37:08):
main inventors of multiplayer games as we kind of know
them as today. I know there's other games they hit.
The Battle Royal got canceled, and then it was like,
all right, cool, I don't know if I want to
play it. I remember Infinite Story kind of came and went. No.
One really was like you need to play it. It's
it's it's mine revolutionary. It looks cool for an Xbox
(37:29):
game at the time, but we'll see what it is.
But Kevin, what's the main thing you kind of want
Slash need to come back into the Halo franchise.
Speaker 3 (37:38):
You just said it story Halo one, two, and three,
we're so rich in story and reach and in reach
as well. Yeah, with you know what the Spartans were on,
what the Covenant is? What does war actually is? The
flood come out of nowhere. The relationship between Master Chief
and what's his VA's name, Katana, all that was so
(38:00):
rich in the game, and I feel like once they
went to Xbox One, I'll say it kind of not
with the shooters now, I don't care, no, don't, don't,
don't push so much to the story.
Speaker 2 (38:09):
So I'm sure it's a good shooter.
Speaker 1 (38:11):
You got four, you got alien gods now like, okay,
now we go, we got I got zombies with the flood, okay, gods.
Speaker 3 (38:19):
Kind of saying the fact that happened to Call of
Duty after calling the Modern Warfare the Modern Warfare story
was really really good, and then and then and then
it felt like the story the story Mode to Colonies
was hit miss every year. It never was consistent again
since Modern Warfare. So that's kind of what I need.
And maybe that is because that Bungee spin off from
Halo and went to go do Destiny, because the story
in Destiny is deep.
Speaker 1 (38:40):
You have to find it, but it's there to find
it if you do.
Speaker 2 (38:43):
But every weapon has a backstory, of a piece of
armor has a backstory. There's so much stuff going on.
Speaker 1 (38:47):
With Grim Grimoire cards, right, and then you can buy
a book that had all all the book, the cards
and everything, and just.
Speaker 2 (38:55):
Tend a message to Nintendo Mic on Twitter.
Speaker 1 (38:57):
You know, Michail, tell me I'll talk to Mic. I
found keep on the lore.
Speaker 3 (39:01):
Keep that like what they what they split off from
from make a hitlo game. That that's where that's when
the story just got like y yeah.
Speaker 1 (39:09):
I think it also was one, two and three had
such a focus on Qurtana and I remember I remember
on the top of my head four or five and
then obviously infinite, but like it really felt like, all right,
let's keep doing something like they kept feel like, all right,
we're doing the same thing. Kurtana, I gotta getta Oh,
get Gorta. It's all about Gurton. Here's baby Cortana over here.
(39:32):
I know I'm paraphrasing, and I don't know if any
of that's right, but that's what it felt like on
social media, at least to the degree. But it played
those games, but I mean, all the player was always there,
and then I just think we went on such a
different stroke on how multiplayer is of like, all right,
I need to see ip of my characters Fortnite and
war Zone two. Rud agree that you know you can
(39:55):
play master Chief in Fortnite, you know, like that' Fortnite.
But I really think you're right. I think the story
is the main thing. It really needs the focus in
and hunkered down on it. If maybe it's not reinventing it,
but I think kind of like how Gears of War
kind of pivoted a little bit from Marcus Phoenix from
(40:19):
Gears of four and five, just because I don't remember
who the main character's name was, but when they pivoted,
which that also can tell you something too, but to
have master Chief maybe in the background role. They kind
of did that with Halo five when I think it
was commanded Locke. I think who was voiced who plays
(40:41):
Luke Cage. The actor who plays Luke Cage, Mike Coulter,
so he was he would play half a missions as
him trying to find master Chief. Master Chief was on
the run essentially, but then they got rid of that
with Halo Infinite, so I think they need to have
master Chief. Maybe it is a younger Spartan. And I
know the whole thing with the Barton franchise and then
you had the show which kind of ruined everything too
(41:03):
sick to it off now first episode.
Speaker 2 (41:04):
Why because.
Speaker 1 (41:07):
He had sex with the alien. She's a human but
she's a covenant. Why it doesn't make any sense. Just
don't worry about. But I think really pivoted him in
that elder. I mean, look, God of War, it works
so well. That's another one that's the same thing. That's
even better than Gears of War. Of having this older
statesman role is what I think a lot of gamers
(41:28):
will clinch on too now. And it's worked. It's path too.
Speaker 3 (41:31):
I mean they tried to pivot in the infinite with
the open world game play. I don't think that's what
Halo suited for.
Speaker 1 (41:40):
I mean, like, granted, I knew the opening level of
Halo was open world and I could drive everywhere, but
I need to go everywhere. I just need a certain
distance exactly.
Speaker 3 (41:49):
So I don't think a granted auto style Halo game
is just what Halo is suited for. So maybe even
pivoting back towards like you said, what it was, the
world is open, but it's only open because this is
level we're on, and one to another level after this,
and then even like going back to like his relationship
with he's a marine, so going to whatship even with
his commanders and his captains that you had in the
(42:12):
first three games.
Speaker 2 (42:13):
I feel like that's that's just lost. Now.
Speaker 3 (42:16):
It's just like, let's shoot some things that make it
me cool again, the kind of same as will call
it duty now. Well, shouldn't be this year because Raven
Seffer has called duty this year, so it should be
a good story this year, But who knows about next year?
Speaker 1 (42:27):
Yeah, so hey, Halo still have faith in it. You're
still a great ip. I just thinking you got to
reinvigorate and put the effort into the right things Halo
Studios now into what will truly, you know, make you
the next God of War Ragnarok. I know God of
War twenty eighteen came out, but God of War Ragnock
is the most recent example of that.
Speaker 3 (42:48):
I mean, God of War is, like you said, it's
a perfect example of how a series pivoted and just
got better, so much better, so much better.
Speaker 1 (42:56):
But Kevin, let's talk about something that has a better
story than the Halo franchise right now. And it's only
three episodes in, and granted, don't take me out my
word right now, because I know we got five more
episodes and ign somehow gave it a five out of
ten for some damn reason. I don't know how these
Basically there's three episodes, but the penguin has been so
damn good. Right now, I want to walk in.
Speaker 3 (43:21):
I don't know what IGN's headquarters is. That's why to
be like, who reviews things? There are video games they
need to stop.
Speaker 2 (43:29):
Don't do that? Get some help.
Speaker 1 (43:31):
You were right with this one. So episode three was
called Bliss, which I thought was a really good episode
because it really was flushing out our main our core three,
I guess, of Sophia Oz Cob whatever you want to
call his last name, and Victor Vic, and I think
(43:51):
it really was puts you in the shoes of Like,
all right, Vic's my favorite character. I love Oz. I
want to see what the hell happens with Sophie. Essentially, Yeah,
I mean.
Speaker 3 (44:03):
This episode again, like I said, I always say, I
do not like our long series anymore, but I'm giving
this one the pass because it's so good. Uh, the
interplay and the interactions between like you said, the core three, uh,
the more ancillary characters like like was named Joe vd
uh ye and then meeting the new characters and during
(44:24):
the triad, this this this for a show that the
exists in.
Speaker 2 (44:28):
Batman's world and doesn't involve Batman and is engaging. Good job.
Speaker 3 (44:36):
You know, the minute this episode, say, episode two sucked.
The minute suck was Batman. The only show was Batman.
I don't want see Batman Badman. No, no, nobody screams
with Badman yet no one is. Everybody just like this
show is great. But yeah, I was a little afraid
it wasn't going to be as good as it was.
But they definitely put HBO money behind this and not
(44:57):
what was the old DC streaming service, Remember that show.
Speaker 2 (45:00):
D C.
Speaker 1 (45:02):
DC Universe hap I think like that.
Speaker 2 (45:05):
I was a praise. Its gonna be like.
Speaker 1 (45:05):
Team Titans plus a couple couple million dollars. But this
is a field and thanks to Aaron Giles, we kind
of made the connection vic in this show. He damn
who did you play? Uh actor? Hold on? Are claim
to fame with him? That's not my penguin? There you go,
Ramsey Valise. Originally, of course it sorry, it's making it
(45:32):
real hard. I had it ready to go and then
it disappeared. But our claim to fame with him was
that he was in conto. He was the brother that
could shape shift. Yes, but thanks to Aaron Giles, he
actually has the latest previous superhero show he played. He
was in The Runaways. He's a case of glasses. I
don't remember. I don't didn't watch The Runaways, but hey,
(45:52):
he was in that too.
Speaker 2 (45:54):
Forgot that. That was like one of the first Hulu shows.
Speaker 1 (45:56):
Muh but yeah, I thought this episode is really good.
I think it really was like, oh, well, where are
we gonna go next? I think was a good tea
up of this episode too. But let's get on into it.
Kevin full spoilers about wow as we break it down,
here you go, there's your little bag. There's a sound
(46:17):
of bag. I know you like the South. So this episode,
like we said, was called bliss. I really loved just
this whole beginning part of this episode because you're like,
this could take place in modern Gotham until you realize,
oh wait, the fireworks they're looking forward to are the
bombs that are going off in Gotham.
Speaker 2 (46:40):
Man again, What a great way to call back to
the movie without involving Batman again, to see like the
actual the fireworks. We have a new Marygate, then boom boom, and.
Speaker 3 (46:51):
Then Vic desperately trying to call his parents before that
flood has hit that building like a ton of bricks.
Speaker 2 (46:56):
And that was.
Speaker 3 (46:58):
Like we watched the bat Man. You're here, the flood happen,
you know what's terrible. But then we actually see it
as episodes like, oh my gosh, what Riddler needs really.
Speaker 1 (47:06):
Needs more prison. They need to do more of that
Riddler right there, because you know, we really I mean
it's probably like five minutes. Really maybe we spend with
Victor and his family. But even in those five minutes,
you're like, no, not Victor's family and not like that,
because this flashback, which we find out once the bombs
go off, that's a flashback. We see that Vic. You know,
(47:28):
he's maybe like a high school college kid that's got
good friends. Some of them are getting into the tough
street gangs. He's got a girl with Graciela. You're like, hell, yeah,
I'm rooting for them. The first and only five minutes,
like all right, Victor, look for you, look at you.
Go ahead, boy, go get it.
Speaker 2 (47:45):
Kids, you're gonna make it.
Speaker 1 (47:47):
You're gonna make it. All of a sudden, bombs go
off across the city, and the flood you see directly
goes into Victor's house. As you see someone in Victor's
house is running away for the window, You're like, no, Victor,
you about to see that.
Speaker 2 (48:00):
And the sad part is.
Speaker 3 (48:04):
We haven't fortunately seen a lot of flooding around the
country in the past few weeks, but the way that
water hit that building, it's terrifying because I mean, I
don't know what a seawall is, because unfortunately Baltimore's right
against the sea, it's against the bay.
Speaker 1 (48:20):
But I want to be that fast. I mean that
that was just crazy to see it. You know, it happened,
which is why no one lives in Crown Point anymore.
But essentially we cut back to modern times and we
really see like this whole episode kind of summing up
Penguin kind of like taking Vic truly under his own
not just be like you're my goon or like you're
(48:41):
someone I have information on you, leave I kill you.
And it really was this whole episode of just having
like Victor feels like he's at times held a gun
point figuratively by Oz, but Iz like, nah, I'm like
treating you how I wanted to be treated on the
come up. In this whole you know, mafia empire and everything.
Speaker 3 (49:00):
The part of this episode when they're in the under
his restaurant and he asked him, Hey, what what's your
dad do? It doesn't shift, I'll get out of here.
Like you can see the sparkle in Al's as but
like he really likes his kids. Like, I know you're
doing terrible things and you killed three people in this episode.
Speaker 1 (49:19):
Man, I'm rooting for it, but you still get bad guy,
which big has you know that kind of At the
end of this episode, he has this point with Penguins
like I know you're doing the wrong things, and peng
and Oz is like, yeah, I'm doing wrong things, but
I'm doing it for a better life. Even says that
to Sophia. At the end of the episode two, uh,
you know, like sure, go Graciello, go with this. Go
(49:41):
on this bus where we find out Vic reconnects with Graciella.
Graciella is living in a FEMA camp because their whole
neighborhood's destroyed. She's gonna move to California asked Vic to
go with her. Whole episode fixed debate on should he
do it? Should he not? Because like I said, figuratively
held at gunpoint. And it's even then that like Oz
(50:02):
is telling him like, yeah, sure you're going to do this,
but is that what you want? You know? Or is
this what you want? Because you seem happy with me
right now.
Speaker 3 (50:11):
I mean I hate to say it, but like again,
doing that exchange with him and the restaurant, even after
they made the deal of the new drug that's what's called.
Speaker 2 (50:22):
And they made the deal with the new drug, and
he's like, we did it, man, we did it. I
was just like, these guys are best friends and I
love it.
Speaker 1 (50:28):
No, ro We're gonna sell right, No, okay, I'm.
Speaker 3 (50:32):
Really cheering about like their their relationship, and I wanted
to work. But then but then the dude, like I said,
the dude knows he's doing bad things. And it's like
the way I was took it, Like no, it's almost
like what I eventually when I watch Trainsformers one and
make a tron best friends, but this is great, but I.
Speaker 2 (50:49):
Know it's coming.
Speaker 1 (50:50):
I know it's coming turn on him. But yeah, even
like keV said, Penguin or Oz buys Vic dinner like
it's a nice lunch. It's not like, oh, here's a sandwich,
you get the scraps or whatever. He's buying Vic new clothes.
You know, he's paying Vic an actual salary that Vic like.
They even have back and forth with like, you know,
you gotta want something, you have to take space up
(51:12):
of like if you want something, gotta get it. They
asked for like, oh, he gets a thousand dollars at first,
but then he asked, can I get two thousand? And
Penguin's a good joke maybe one day, which is like, oh,
come on, it's so great, But well, this is going on.
It's kind of the opposite of like Penguin and Sofia,
And obviously next week they teased up. We're gonna find
out the real big fallout between the two of them.
(51:34):
But we find out Penguin was Sofia's driver at one
point and that was kind of Penguin's fault to some
degree that Sofia ended up in prison, which I have
an inkling that this is gonna echo. It's gonna be
the same thing with Vic and Penguin, do it agree?
Speaker 3 (51:51):
Oh wait, the one thing that only got got about
this episode that I didn't like and this is this
is a real, really, really real bad nitpick. So Peng
states don't get big. One thousand dollars a week basically
can work for. And then you give that thousand dollars
to and say, hey, buy a ticket to me for
me toom gonna go with you.
Speaker 1 (52:08):
It only gives them a couple. She only gives them
a couple of it. Now, all of it.
Speaker 3 (52:12):
So now I just did a quick Google search. What
is the last minute ticket to California? Bus to get
costs from California to multipon the California six hundred and
eighteen dollars.
Speaker 1 (52:22):
Okay, maybe it was the whole thousand dollars over there.
Speaker 2 (52:25):
You know what a flight is. To get on the plane.
Speaker 1 (52:29):
You want to see your country. Got pays a lot
of gas, Kevin, a lot of gas.
Speaker 2 (52:34):
That bus just gonna stink.
Speaker 1 (52:35):
That's what you want to get to hang out with
your booth hag. You know that's body.
Speaker 2 (52:40):
I'm just saying this.
Speaker 1 (52:42):
I hate driving places. Get on a plane. Yeah, play
next money, Get on the plane. But we find out
Sofia does bring Penguin along. They are working together to
get that new drug we find out called bliss on
the streets. Turns out Sofia actually was using that bag
of jewelry that Penguin was trying to get rid of
last week to trade it in for drugs or mushrooms
(53:03):
from Markham. Essentially, we find out that Bliss is made
from this like vapor or liquid that comes out from
mushrooms something like that. Apparently they use the same drug
on the inmates and keep him docile, and she said,
why not introduce it to the streets. They eventually pair
up with the triad. They they do meet eventually the
dilut named Zoo, who that actor has been in a
(53:26):
bunch of stuff. He's been lost and everything. I thought
it was good lines of like they get to the
club and they're like, hey, look at everyone in this club.
The world isn't they know what is gone? And they're
looking for just an escape or something fun. I was like, man,
that is very deep. This show very deep. This show is.
But yeah, essentially it is Oz and Sofia really like, hey,
(53:50):
we're doing it, we have we We essentially kind of
turned Johnny Vidi. We reveal that info on him of
like hey, we know you're sleeping with uh Luca the
economy the act of sleeping with their boss's wife, and
they're like, all right, things are going great, We're gonna
get things going. It is. Johnny Vitty does kind of
make fun of Oz, and you do see that rising
(54:11):
tension again of just someone making fun of Oz is
kind of his trigger point where Johnny Vitty says, people
keep the Penguin around his entertainment. Then he tries to
choke Johnny Vitty with his phone, but he gets pulled
back to would agree. But I think the interesting thing
too was back to that lunch Penguin has with victor Is.
(54:31):
Vic stutters and Penguin says, don't let them like tell
you what you want. You tell them what you want,
and it's just like, man, there's all three outsiders that
are like establishing themselves, which is good in this crime drama.
Speaker 3 (54:44):
Again, Penguin's a terrible person. Penguins killed people. I'm pretty
sure he's ran over ladies in his car. But God's
he's easy wise and I wouldn't mind have a conversation
with him to learn about life.
Speaker 1 (54:57):
But it is during their meeting with the with the
Triad that Sofia does tell Penguin it seems like you
always just want more, and I think that's just a
running thing for Penguin. We're gonna start seeing It's like cool,
he wants this, but he wants more. Like he he
always wants that better life, and it's always that next
step that will he always get it or will he
kind of be that Darth male kind of character that
(55:19):
gets so close and then nope, fails at the last
so close and it fails because at the end of
this episode things going great. Vic decides not to go
on the bus with Grassielli, so I'm gonna come back
and pick him up. But turns out missus Maroney, he
get that lady with a deep voice that's in Destiny
and all the video games and everything like that. Everything
(55:40):
she's in everything because she's got that great, deep ravelly voice.
You know it's good for her. She in the Maroney's corner,
Penguin and Sofia hold him a gun point. Vic runs
over when the henchmen takes Oz and they escape, but
they leave Sophia behind, and we assume that's where Sophia
(56:02):
will learn about Penguin playing both sides, but we don't
know because next we're supposed to be a flashback episode. Yeah,
one of.
Speaker 3 (56:11):
Those, like I said, one of those things where they
were so close, they were so close, and then now
they're right back in the beginning, and even Penglan even
says that once the comes crashed the car, the points
the airbag, which the car is total by the way,
can't buy that car anymore.
Speaker 2 (56:24):
Now they drive away and Penguin goes, we're in it now, man,
we are in it and now having fun.
Speaker 1 (56:29):
He's having a good time, and Viga's like, what the
hell did I just come back into?
Speaker 3 (56:33):
Essentially, but he's loyal though he got the I mean again,
that's why I say it's gonna be heartbreaking when the
first ten minutes of Batman too, Batman lands on his
classical and breaks his shoulders.
Speaker 1 (56:46):
We love Vig, He's great Batman. You don't understand you're
you're me, which we're gonna sign with the criminals in
the next Batman. It be wild. We liked like but yeah,
I mean, I'm enjoying the show so far, so I
know we we've kind of dogged on. I g n
(57:08):
for giving it a five out of ten for the
whole season. Is there a drop off? Who knows? But
I mean right now, momentum is doing real well. We'll
see what happens next.
Speaker 2 (57:18):
Really, I think the press only got like the first
two or three, so going forward, we'll see how it
is after this you usually did.
Speaker 3 (57:28):
When these shows come out, they don't. They don't give
you all the episode to give you, like the first
half or the first whatever.
Speaker 2 (57:33):
So we'll see.
Speaker 3 (57:34):
I mean, we have what one five, six, one five left.
I feel like it's gonna be one of those shows
where you're gonna be hold on the energy seat and
see what happens next, because it's gonna be like, gonna happen,
gonna get away.
Speaker 1 (57:48):
Oh he's fine, but that's a peguine for now. We'll
be back next Monday to talk about that. But on Thursday,
who it's time for some m I swear, I swear
(58:10):
when I ride, I swear. I rude. Uh who's house?
But I gotta all along. On Thursday we'll be talking
about I believe the fifth episode already. Yeah, yep, fifth episode. Uh.
Speaker 2 (58:23):
I think the same director from the last one.
Speaker 1 (58:24):
To actually, so if you like that one, get ready,
because they've already said get get the t shoes ready,
So we're gonna find some things out. I will say.
Speaker 2 (58:32):
Also, I am enjoying, enjoying, we are fishing.
Speaker 3 (58:35):
I think we're fishing in the post chapek New Eiger
franchise of Disney content.
Speaker 2 (58:41):
And it's not disappointing so far, so far.
Speaker 1 (58:43):
As of right now, we'll find out come next Marvel project.
They'll be like, no, this is a Cha Pik project
right now.
Speaker 3 (58:50):
The three for three Inside Out deple Wolverine in this
three for three right now. So I'm like, you see
somebody are doing something.
Speaker 2 (58:56):
In your world.
Speaker 1 (58:57):
What's gonna happen? It's that Spider Man show. What's gonna
happ happened? Like Baby Hit a double Need Home Runs,
Hit a double Ironheart, what's gonna happen?
Speaker 2 (59:07):
Get a single?
