Speaker 1 (00:08):
Welcome back to the nerdy news you need to know
throughout the week. On Night Heart, Brady went bad.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
Cat services around the world because my name's for it. Yeah,
and you're officially listening to this one episode crisis on
Infinite Bond.
Speaker 3 (00:30):
Yeah, Teddy's joining us. Cookie just staring at its right now.
It's kind of funny, like, what.
Speaker 1 (00:34):
The hell is that thing? Why is that on the door?
Doesn't even make any sense? You know, you can't see
in the shot. I have a big cutout of a
Toy Deferenza in the door here. It's pretty funny, like,
is that is that my father?
Speaker 3 (00:46):
Now?
Speaker 1 (00:47):
Father? Help father? But we got a slightly jam packed
show for you today because there's not really any other
news besides two main things, uh TikTok and Marvel Snap.
The fun controversy going on with that we found out
literally hours ago, and Nintendo Switch to We're gonna talk
(01:09):
about what got announced and what we want on a
slash expect when it has that full direct reveal in April.
Speaker 3 (01:18):
April shouting and make Flowers. I guess March snow brings
a new Switch to Go.
Speaker 1 (01:23):
I don't know s w I'm gonna do Hot to
Go and work out with switch too many.
Speaker 3 (01:29):
I don't know that was the radio song. That was
only a TikTok song.
Speaker 1 (01:32):
That is a normal song, Kevin, that you will be
hearing four months to come because of your daughters most likely.
Speaker 3 (01:39):
No, we don't do that in my car.
Speaker 1 (01:40):
No, we don't listen. Don't listen to Hoodie anymore in
the station. That's okay. But yes, we know TikTok is
back as of this podcast recording. But something isn't back.
But we'll talk about that and a little bit like
you know about that good stuff. But you can interact
with the podcast wherever you go by going to at
infinite Underscore bides on the Answer or the act, Gonna
(02:01):
give it to you or Kevin working the interact with
us live when recording the podcast, or on demand of
their own accord.

you can also go to twitsch dot tv slash Ifnite
Underscore Punch watches live twice a week, Join a chat

Speaker 1 (02:18):
Yes, it's always a good time, but Kevin, we usually
start this podcast with a little something we like to
call what you're doing where we talk about the shows
and movies we've been watching, the games, we've been playing,
the lives we've been living. Because it is Monday's episode, Kevin,
you get to go first, good sir, So.
Speaker 3 (02:40):
Yesterday, me and a fan of basically home all day
because we were just tired life does take. Let's have
a home day. That's all sitting in the living room
together for twelve hours. It was great. Actually, we binge
the entire so far forth season of Babmdane Elementary.
Speaker 1 (02:58):
Good season, really good seasons.
Speaker 3 (03:00):
But with that we also saw the always sunny Abbit crossover,
which was just perfect. It was so good, one of
those things where less is more.
Speaker 1 (03:09):
Yeah, I think like the beauty of that of both
episodes being thirty minutes, it's like, all right, we gotta
especially Abbot. Abbot really like tries to compact the whole
story within each episode, you know.
Speaker 3 (03:21):
M hm, and like the way they kind of just
I was selling before we thought recording. The best part
about it is like, if you're a fan of both shows,
it isn't like when like you know, I don't know,
Loki shows up at the end of four two or
you know, the dormlogic. So show Falcon, Winter Soldier, it's
all in universe. We kind of get that happening whatever.
(03:42):
But when two shows have nothing to do with each
other except for they're in the same city, show up
and you're invested in both those shows. I watch all
the seasons of Abbot, I've seen every season of Always Sonny,
so I know what the characters and seeing them kind
of interact was like, oh my gosh, what are they
going to do when.
Speaker 1 (03:55):
They show up?
Speaker 3 (03:56):
And from the from the opening jump off, Dennis shows
up and says, I don't I'm like, all these cameras
around just leaves leaves shot Like that's Dennis in front
of the camera.
Speaker 1 (04:06):
He's a creepy dude.
Speaker 3 (04:08):
And they've been going so far as the deep kind
of being a horn dog and trying to steal her
names like Quina Brunson on the show, but trying to
steal her her boyfriend and her calling her a bird,
like oh my god, the bird.
Speaker 1 (04:20):
Think look at it. The still they still got it
not right.
Speaker 3 (04:23):
And then of course teaching Charlie how to read was
just perfect, Like it was a really, really really cross.
Speaker 1 (04:29):
I think the cool thing is Sonny has an announcement
it's coming back, but they're gonna have one. I assume
that would be their first episode or pack or whatever.
It'd be excited to see like that. And then all
of them go back and watch Abbot potentially to like
see if it is before and after and all that.
Speaker 3 (04:43):
Good stuff exactly, and of course Frank and the janitor
and interacting with Sperm. But it was just a really
really good crossover, and I don't think it it didn't.
It didn't. It only added to both shows and take
away thro anything. You know, it was really brilliantly written.
Other than that, I trying to watch sevens this weekend,
but then characters she wanted to play on the floor
and that was into that seven is not a background
(05:07):
show to show.
Speaker 1 (05:07):
You have to sit down, watch no distractions exactly.
Speaker 3 (05:12):
So I saw the first five to ten minutes. It
was really good things that I'm not want to spoil
it for you because I mean it's only it has
been out since Friday. But still, you know, things happened,
opening a couple of things like Okay, something's going on
just different now, this is very different. But I couldn't
get deeper into that. I didn't learn that got her name,
but the the teenage lady from rest developments in the Gast,
(05:36):
I didn't know that.
Speaker 1 (05:37):
Oh yes, yes, I saw she looks she just got
out of this season with like the new group of people. Yeah, yeah, so.
Speaker 3 (05:44):
That was really cool. And other than that, other two
people I didn't really recognize, but looking forward to watching
it at some point. And also I can probably say
for about the I don't have an exact number, but
in between fifteen and sixtieth time i've beat mass effectul ones.
Speaker 1 (06:04):
Now, did you do anything like random with your character, like, oh,
I'm gonna make them look weak, like they're gonna be
green or something like that.
Speaker 3 (06:12):
Didn't do any of that for the first time in
a long time. Do I just decide to at the
end of it either can say the council or talk
attack sovereign. I actually attack sovereign. I always usually say
the council, but I was like, no, screw the council.
It piss me off this time, so I did that. Also,
I usually always Killkaden because I don't really care nothing
for that character, and I never really feel it for
a very milk toesed character exactly for me. But I
(06:33):
actually killed after this time, because you know her, her
character through twenty twenty five eyes is a bit problematic.
So I didn't do those two things different. So I
want to see what happens as as I'll probably saw
a mass effect too at some point tonight, because I
will not be watching the Ravens game because I am
think I already had anxiety just in general, and anxiety
(06:56):
that that game will cause. I just I just I
don't think I can take it. Don't think I can think.
I do think it'll be a good game. I think
the Rings have a better shot than usual to pull
it out on top. But still, it's just the whole thing.
I'm actually watching it happen, kind of like watching the
final episode of Game of Throwing. Don't somebody want to die?
You don't know who's going to be really nervous about it,
and it kind of just gets you, gets you, kind
of wrapped.
Speaker 1 (07:16):
Us a lot of people. Yeah, you're right, you're a
lot of people die in that episode. I was like,
there's a lot of them left at the end of
that episode.
Speaker 3 (07:25):
Like you knew when when I when I'm the Queen,
never was riding on the dragons like this could be it.
Speaker 1 (07:28):
And like, oh, Brands of the King, now, sure.
Speaker 3 (07:33):
They should bring I really wish they would bring a
continuation of that back because it's like, let's clean up
from things.
Speaker 1 (07:38):
Yeah, I think it's like also like there's such h
Max now is in the Shoehorn of like all right,
well we gotta do all this prequel stuff. It's like, yeah,
but if you guys are ever gonna do your John
Snow spinoff series, like I don't know if I gonna
really care about Kit Harrington John Snow as much in
like five years or whatever whenever that comes out.
Speaker 3 (07:58):
So one pretty sure too, because I feel like both
of these shows don't be very expensive.
Speaker 1 (08:02):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 3 (08:02):
Game of Thrones will end before Harry Potter stars.
Speaker 1 (08:04):
What do you think you mean entirely so like House
of the Dragon everything? Uh No, I think it's it's
literally gonna because like you look at the schedule now, uh,
you know, we had House of the Dragon last summer
ish essentially, then Penguin and then now we're kind of
waiting until you get White Lotus and then you have
(08:26):
Last of Us like like when White Lotus is done
is when Last of Us will pick up. And then yeah,
I think it's the next Game of Throne or the
the Night whatever the night one is for Game of Thrones.
But I think they'll put in the rotation. Max does
a really good job of having shows on rotations, and you're
not just like all right, what's next, Like every other
(08:46):
streaming service needs to learn that, whereas like Netflix and
Disney Plus we'll just like all right, well here's the
two things you like. But all right, cool, But like
after that, what do I watch? Like, I'm not gonna
use your streaming service for like two months after that?
Speaker 3 (08:58):
You know, are you excited about that that that that
Game of Thrones night show?
Speaker 1 (09:02):
Because I don't know, not right now. I mean, obviously
were we excited about How the Dragon when that got
announced and we're like, what the hell is this? And
then it you know, it hooked us. But I think
it's it has the potential to do the same thing,
will it. Who knows? Just because I think maybe we
might be getting to a point we might be a
little too Game of Thrones out And that's wild to
think when we're you know, in the MCU and DCUs
(09:25):
coming back like you think we're superheroed at work, we
kind of are to it agree as much as it
used to be back in like twenty nineteen.
Speaker 3 (09:32):
But yeah, it's a while to think that we kind
of got walking did it out?
Speaker 1 (09:36):
Yeah? Well yeah, And that's another that's another great example
of a fandom that just like, eh, it's they've still
got new ish coming out, but I don't really care
about it anywhere.
Speaker 3 (09:44):
Game of Thrones isn't nearly there yet, but I could
say it's on the horizon. Yeah, I mean they're smart,
Like yeah, I would say that they're like you know,
when you when you you finally made it pass along,
like you on a long driving trip, like I've got
on to two hundred miles to get an off ramp.
Keep this threxit four damn it. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (10:03):
I think I think Game of Thrones it has the
potential to go to the Walking Dead route, but I
do think right now it's still kind of spaced out
enough that it works because I think at one point
it was like walking Dead, then Here's Fear of the
Walking Dead, and then I think it was something else,
but they had like two other ones, and then they
obviously now have Darryl Dixon. They had the There's the
(10:26):
Meagan and the Nagan Show. Then there's the Rick and
Machone show and it's.
Speaker 3 (10:30):
Like that's on Netflix now, and I thought, I was like,
I have no interest in this at all.
Speaker 1 (10:34):
Yeah, and that's the thing too, like if especially Walking Dead,
you don't have anyone caring about Rick and ma show,
Like there are people caring about but not like the
main tree audience. Is that new Rick new mashone, you know,
and they're like, okay, cool, like should have done that
in the TV show is watching instead of ending it
randomly weird.
Speaker 3 (10:53):
Yeah, I feel like I still love the na Gever's
I think she's a fabulous actions, but I feel like
that show lost momentum just when they kill Glenn, and
I feel like people people are like, Okay, maybe we'll
still figure this out. Then when they killed off Carl
because of a contracts like I'm dumb with thish. Yeah,
and I think the killed the kids.
Speaker 1 (11:09):
The other thing was that a lot of the actors,
the smaller actors minus like Rick or Andrew Lincoln, were
being put in more stuff like to Nigera was Okoye.
So it's like she's making Marvel money and everyone you
know knew, where as Michhewn. Now obviously that in Okoye.
Same thing with a lot like a lot of the
other small like Stephen Yune is in a bunch of
(11:30):
stuff now like yeah, granted that started afters with Walking
he died on Walking Dead, but like most of that
cast is in big, big, two, bigger stuff now that
like you're all right? Cool? Yeah, like Megan or whatever.
I forget the actor's name, but he's still Megan. But
he's also was in you know, the Boys and all
that stuff.
Speaker 3 (11:49):
So it was funny. Was were gonna say, see me?
He is in this one blank too invincible.
Speaker 1 (11:55):
Jeffrey Dean Morgan by the way, sorry, I just remember
that Morgan.
Speaker 3 (11:58):
Yeah, so yeah, that's all I really watched this weekend though,
and then of course play mass I play Mass Effect.
That's pretty much for me.
Speaker 1 (12:05):
What woult you buddy? All right, well, if you listen
to last week's episode, you know your boy did a
deep dive on fourth Wing, so it was great. I
do have Iron Flame ready to go. That's just the
next one. Froze it now I can read it. But
fun thing is I talked about last week with Kevin.
I'll let you know. Book release parties are still a
thing in twenty twenty five. The new book in this
(12:27):
series of books on ex Storm comes out Tuesday, technically
midnight or three am, depending on what story you're going
to see. A boy is gonna wake up to try
and get the Target exclusive edition online before I going
to work, So see what happens.
Speaker 3 (12:43):
You're not going in actually going into that.
Speaker 1 (12:44):
No, No, I don't think there's not a lot of
targets that are twenty Actually, let me check check. Is
this target right now right near me twenty four hours?
Speaker 3 (12:53):
Twenty four hour fan kind of dad overnight.
Speaker 1 (12:55):
With at least with Target, like walmarts are still twenty
four Yeah, the target near me closed that ten and
opens up seven. Yeah, that's not happened. But there is
a path. So if I don't get it, there are
four targets. If I plot the chart point from work
to there to my house, I can hit all four
and see if I need one of the four. Have
(13:15):
that book in case I don't get it. I mean,
you gotta have backup plans to back up there. Yeah, right,
Because here's the thing. In Arlington, Alexandria Falls Church area,
there's a lot of targets, like there's maybe too many
targets for this area. But you know what, Hey, I
don't know what target slogan is, so insert target slogan.
Speaker 3 (13:33):
Too many targets, too many targets.
Speaker 1 (13:36):
Yeah, so excited for that. I did catch up on
the late episode of Beast Games. Kevin. Eve been watching
that at all? I remember I missed a B show.
Speaker 3 (13:44):
Yeah, you know what, I don't want to make it
that guy.
Speaker 1 (13:48):
Yeah, I know a lot of people are hit or
miss on it. It definitely it's something to watch. It
definitely is if you like videos, you watch it. I
actually was talking more than I went to the Caps
game yesterday. I'll talk about that in a second. But
with her cousin and her cousins kids, the kids didn't
care about mister bestad all. I was like, oh wow,
I thought like he was your prime demographic, but I
guess not. But it's been interesting if you like his videos,
(14:12):
it definitely is that. And it's funny how like it
built up a lot of characters and then they eliminated
all those characters, which is great. On top of that,
finished Surviving Barstool, another reality show I'm launching. Didn't like
how it ended. It was predictable, that is what it is.
And yeah, yesterday big sports day in the DMV because
not only did the Caps win they beat the Penguins
(14:34):
Sports with a Z, but the Commander's won, which was
wild because More and I went to the Caps game.
They actually had the scoreboard up for the Commanders and
you could tell who had YouTube TV because like one
section over, so I'm like, ah, and then someone in
our section and have like the Wi Fi cap one
arena would work just on like when the Commanders scored.
But then we went to Hide Social, which was fun
(14:55):
to watch the game sports sports with sports people and
it was fun actually FaceTime brother John my dad because
when we got home it was like, I don't have
a TV. Please FaceTime one of your TV seconds who
was winning right now? And uh, it was cool to
celebrate that with my dad brother, and it's exciting. You know,
the Commanders are one one went away from a super Bowl,
(15:16):
and you know there is a chance that we could
have a not technically DMV because I know Baltimore is
not DMV, but more of this in Maryland, Battle of
by ninety five. Battle is a mark train, I guess
if you want to go with that, which is which
is like what like like a a twenty percent chance
(15:36):
that could happen as of right now, so yeah.
Speaker 3 (15:38):
It could happen. Raven's had a lot of work to do.
I had a feeling that they could win that game.
It's mean sports with di Z and it's because I
played out a fantasy. The Detroit defense has not been
good for like, yes, six weeks, so they can just
chuck it down and down and then do a commander.
So I was like, oh, they could have a chance,
but I didn't think they would score thirty points in
the first half. That was crazy.
Speaker 1 (15:59):
Yeah, but it's a wild time, you know, being a
sports fan the d m V. You know, we have
the Capitals, the Nats that one time, uh, and then
and then the Commanders have always been the Commanders, but
just for a lot of people for the first time
in their lifetime, like our age and younger, are seeing
them actually like doing well. Uh.
Speaker 3 (16:19):
The Mystics won once like four or five years ago too, didn't.
Speaker 1 (16:22):
They Yeah three years ago? Yeah, obviously that's before you
w NBA got big of Kaitlyn Clark and Angel Reese
and all that stuff. But I think it's it's pretty
cool just to be watching sports now. If you if
you care. If not, it's okay. It'd be cool if
they go the super Bowl, but who knows if they
will or not.
Speaker 3 (16:40):
Also real quick too, and I'm gonna say this because
I checked got in touch with him, like on Monday
or Tuesday. I got touch with Javi who lived in California.
Now he is okay. Everybody was thinking thinking about him.
He is okay. I can't remember if you said he
evacuated or not, but he said him and people he
lived with are doing just fine and everything's good. So
I let everybody know think about Jobby. He's doing fine.
Speaker 1 (17:01):
Yeah, I love it. But that's what you boys have
been doing. But let's get on into it. There's not
a lot of it, but it is time for the
news and first thicks. First we have to talk about. Yes,
we know TikTok was banned for twelve hours and it's
(17:23):
back as of this podcast recording. It's back if you're watching.
But the little known casualty that we didn't know would
be Marvel.
Speaker 3 (17:32):
Snap text me was last night and I was, I was,
I was. I was knee deep in mass effect place,
so I didn't check my phone like.
Speaker 1 (17:40):
No, I gotta save the Normandy I'm sorry, I can't
help you right now.
Speaker 3 (17:43):
But I was like, wait a minute, how did Marmin
Sneppie cut up in this?
Speaker 1 (17:47):
I have no idea. So in case you didn't know, obviously,
the TikTok twelve hour time out ban whatever happened this
weekend obviously because you know, the US band Banded by
Dance trying to get it to sell to someone in
the US to have it whatever. Yeah, all that good stuff, politics, whatever.
(18:07):
But we didn't know is that included all of Byte
Dance's subsidiaries. So a cap cut. So if you use
it for social media or you make videos like Kevin
was making in the middle of making a video for
his kid's birthday, it you can't use it right now,
Slash it might not exist because if it was a draft,
it might not be there.
Speaker 3 (18:27):
Your boy backed up on a dobe always better.
Speaker 1 (18:30):
There, So that wasn't working. And this also I hated
how the TikTok thing, like all of a sudden, it's like, oh, yeah,
eleven o'clock done. Like wait a second, you said the
nineteenth or fine, what happened here? Because we would have
got in the car and gone, what the hell, but
we didn't realize is that Marvel Snap is also somehow
(18:52):
owned by Byte Dance. So Marble Stamps publisher is a
new verse which is owned by Bye Dance. So thus
TikTok currently as of this podcast recording at least, is
still banned in the US, And while TikTok was brought back,
Marvel Snap has not been brought back yet.
Speaker 3 (19:11):
So so weird because because I mean Marvel In the
Martin Company of Marvel Comics in general is still on
American owned companies. You think that would be okay that
they can still use that.
Speaker 1 (19:24):
Yeah, it is weird because it's like, well, yeah, it's
a subsidiary of Marvel Games. But I think that's in
this sense, it's more of like a licensing thing in
the scenario. But uh, the wild thing is Marvel Stamp
is currently going through like a big campaign of like
let's all collectively play and you can unlock these things,
(19:44):
and the top comments like, what the hell we can't
unlock these things? You know about this Marvel Stap that
we can't get the top tiers, all these unlocks my fingers.
But yeah, so it's been interesting. You know, your boy
doesn't play Marble Stamp as much. As you used to
a couple of years ago, just because the meta in
that game, the narrative kind of got way too got
(20:04):
to play it every day of every waking moment to
really get ahead in that game, whereas you know Pokemon
A TCG Pockets really just do your two things and
you're good. But I would assume if TikTok got that back,
Marble Snap should be shortly behind. But if you were
counting on participating in this event, you're going to have
(20:26):
to wait, and they're not gonna give you good rewards
for saying we're sorry, We're sorry.
Speaker 3 (20:32):
It's funny good. Could you imagine this happened to Marble
Rivals instead of.
Speaker 1 (20:35):
Yeah, well, especially right now. I think the thing is too,
is like I don't remember, you can't download Marble Snap
in the app store either, at least for Apple as
far as I know, so like it being one of
the you would assume top games of people play, it's
not there anymore. That's hurting you, like that as that
game that's hurting. The interesting thing too, is that people
(20:58):
are kind of upset because you could buy season passes
in that game to get like unlocks, and the new
one came out. I think maybe like a week and
a half ago. People are pissed, like, hey, I paid
ten bucks for this and I can't even play the
damn game, Like what the hell ten bucks for this?
I mean, yeah, but ten bucks adds up you know,
a thousand people, you know.
Speaker 3 (21:18):
And that's true. That was true. Also, like that the
the TikTok time out because like, I know, what if
people are ordering.
Speaker 1 (21:24):
Them TikTok shop, like it's my order coming in. What's happening?
I said, And have not bought anything off TikTok. You
still got that coupon, You still got that coupon. The
use I'm going to close.
Speaker 3 (21:35):
To buying one of those bank masks, keeps singing, I
don't want to bankman.
Speaker 1 (21:38):
You could dad, or just go. He can't go to
party sitting anymore. Sorry, Kevin can't go to party's bankrupt gone.
Speaker 3 (21:44):
I don't know what a pradical use of a bank
mask is, but I'll have one.
Speaker 1 (21:47):
Well, every time we play this sound effect, then you
could be you could try to quickly within two seconds
trying to get the mask on.
Speaker 3 (21:56):
Yeah, that I saw another thing they actually sell. I
guess a version of the prop Wolverine claws that will
launch out when you sweeze your fist. I'm like, I
want that. I don't know what else I will do
with it, but to do it once like I did it.
Speaker 1 (22:10):
Well, if they're sharp enough, you're like, oh, hey, can
I get give me some of that? Like, give me
some of that steak I got. I'm good.
Speaker 3 (22:21):
It's definitely that's a big bummer dog because like people
that actually are paying, like even people that are paying
for cap cut right now that actually I have, like
the actual the pro do you get that back if
you already paid this month if you can't use it
right now?
Speaker 1 (22:32):
Yeah, it's it's an interesting thing. I know, like this'
TikTok stuff too that you know, we're all figured it
out and all that good stuff. But like it's wild
that TikTok was quickly brought back, but nothing else under
that big but it was brought back as quickly for
some reason.
Speaker 3 (22:48):
Yeah, as of right now, cap cut is still down. Yeah,
so I keep trying it every once in a while
to see.
Speaker 1 (22:52):
If it comes Hopefully, before you'll it'll come up. You're
all right, I'll quickly edit the rest of this. Oh dad,
why is this video so good? At the beginning the
back apps. Oh quick about tell what else this sucks to?
Speaker 3 (23:03):
My daughter? Leah started, She just likes to do. She
acts to screen record while she's playing a game called Tokoboka.
Speaker 1 (23:09):
Especially two d sims.
Speaker 3 (23:12):
Check the scream record and posted on her on YouTube.
So and you know, like narrate it. She goes, Daddy,
they can't use camp cut. Oh yes, man, I think
that was an issue for you.
Speaker 1 (23:21):
Time for you to learn I movie.
Speaker 3 (23:26):
So I told her why I was band because because
I got banned cap cut. So I got like, but
what's gonna happen, Like, well, TikTok is back now because
you have getting president tomorrow, and she goes, we.
Speaker 1 (23:34):
Get a new president tomorrow. Yeah, that's a whole world. Yeah,
that's that's the whole thing. I don't want to get
into that for you. But we can't go into d
C for a little bit. So like, yeah, people.
Speaker 3 (23:46):
Are upset, but it doesn't matter because everything will be fine.
Speaker 1 (23:48):
That's what. You'll be fine. Don't worry. We might be
we might be crying in the corner, but you'll be fine.
Speaker 3 (23:54):
I just know that this this man in the White
House keeps daddy employee for at least four more years,
at least a lot of things to talk.
Speaker 1 (23:59):
About, things for his host to talk about. It is correct,
but Kevin, something for us to talk about, Well, that
is the Nintendo Switch To dose do so, Kevin, this
got announced after the podcast on Wednesday, so we could
(24:19):
put the trailer. But I know Nintendo's been already claiming
some people, so we're not going to do that. But
you've seen it, correct, You've seen the big announcement. You
know everything about it perfect, So we know Nintendo switch To.
It's we've kind of known about it for weeks on
end because of leaks and everything, especially that we're at
cees and everything. But Nintendo Fishy revealed a video saying, hey,
(24:43):
it exists. It's called Nintendo switch To. You'll get more
info on April second, a Nintendo direct.
Speaker 3 (24:50):
Yeah, April second. My birthday is fifteen days after that.
Speaker 1 (24:55):
So Kevin, pre order your way might be coming.
Speaker 3 (25:00):
Say what, I am Luke won on this honestly, Well,
let's get through the facts then we'll share opinions.
Speaker 1 (25:07):
I don't we're got pre order or not? I love it.
So Nintendo didn't say the release date, but it will
be available in twenty twenty five didn't say a price either,
but we do know that there will be a Mario
Kart game coming out with the console or around the console,
most likely nine right out of town. It should be nine,
(25:29):
who knows what the eight eight Deluxe Deluxe, maybe double deluxe,
eight super double deluxe. Yeah, eight, don't worry about it.
It's big. But we do know the console will be
bigger about like maybe like a third bigger, which is cool.
It won't be Yeah, instead of doing the sound effect,
(25:51):
which probably didn't here because the noise gate, it will
now be a clap sound effect, which is fun.
Speaker 3 (25:56):
That's different.
Speaker 1 (25:57):
It's grown up. You go from switch to two hands. Oh,
switch was one hand? Clap his two hands? What can
you do with three hands? Now?
Speaker 3 (26:06):
Good job, Intendo, good job, good job.
Speaker 1 (26:08):
I see what you do. And then the four will
be high ten, you know. But we do know the
joy cons as far as we know this is based
on the video, like the two minute long video, is
that they'll be magnetically connected, so there'll be buttons in
the back. Then instead of sliding up the joy cons,
they'll be able to pull them apart. They'll be magnetically
connected as well. There'll be two USB s ports, which
(26:31):
is great because if you've had a normal Nintendo Switch,
it's always a pain if you want to put it
in this the little like tilt mode with the kickstand
because you can't charge it at the same time. And
there's a new button, but we don't know what it does,
and that's all we know pretty much.
Speaker 3 (26:48):
The button there. Don't worry.
Speaker 1 (26:50):
Don't worry about it till April because then we'll tell
you what that button does April.
Speaker 3 (26:55):
Second, all your questions will be answered till now rush
your hands.
Speaker 2 (27:00):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (27:00):
And then finally we also knew this is a tweet
after is that Nintendo Switch to will have experience events
which will be in New York, LA, Dallas, Toronto, Europe,
Australia and then across Asia. Unfortunately, there won't be one
in DC like there was for the Nintendo Switch. Sorry Nintendo, Mike,
we can't go. Which was wild that we got to
do that, which was cool time. You know, yeah, that's
(27:22):
a really cool thing.
Speaker 3 (27:23):
Look a look at who you living his.
Speaker 1 (27:24):
Best life, a living the best life. And then you
know we went to E three that year, man.
Speaker 3 (27:27):
I want a year that year that was That was
a year you know, I actually price flights. I just
curious see how much fights would be for E three
this year. If we're going this year there and.
Speaker 1 (27:36):
Not, Well, guess what, Kevin, E three doesn't exist anymore.
It's gone, It's dead. I just want to go. I
just want to go around the same time and just
camp out. You know, I'm like, I'm here, I miss
it in solidarity. So, like I mentioned, what are you
here for? This is medical summer, Yeah, Summer game Fest.
The Summer Game Fest is digital. It's still real to me.
(27:57):
This is E three. This is not No No Dot
but yeah, I mean that's kind of the main difference
is from what the video showed. Obviously, the everything is
all black minus some color under the thumbsticks. So we'll
obviously find out the new actual features of the Nintendo
Switch to when it comes when we get the presentation
(28:18):
in April. But based on what we've seen so far, Kevin,
would you pre order a Nintendo Switch to say? Track
record is? It might come out in June.
Speaker 3 (28:29):
Oh, I'll say this. I mean this squad fine savement first,
this is not like hotcakes, so it doesn't really matter
what I think people are going to buy this and
to enjoy like Jordan last week. Yeah, for me personally,
I will not be pre ordering one for one. I
never I never buy.
Speaker 1 (28:45):
Launched, which is vout as valid. These are and these
are a valid points. These aren't like you're wrong you
need to buy you know.
Speaker 3 (28:52):
XBO sixty is give me a lot of trauma for buying.
Oh yes again, I'll never do it again. But also well,
I just feel like I want it a little more
from the Switch too, because from me, it's just my
laman eyes. I'm not a programmer, I'm not an engineer.
It looks like we're getting a PS four Xbox one
(29:13):
ish handheld system. Yeah, well that's a great remarkable state
of engineering.
Speaker 1 (29:18):
Right Yeah, which that's the rumor is that's supposed to
be quality wise on level of Xbox one and PS
four with Gate with graphics and stuff.
Speaker 3 (29:27):
I think I would have rather them figure out a
way to do and it probably would have been a
more efensive system. Of course, everything's about a price point.
How much how much can we sell this for so
we can sell it for Yeah, I would I would
have loved them to make a more powerful nintend Home
Nintendo system that is compatible with a Switch. Peripheral, you
(29:48):
know what I.
Speaker 1 (29:48):
Mean, And that is a Nintendo way of doing things,
you know, I think really the because for the longest
time Nintendo had been always you know, we have the
game Boy, the mobile version in Nintendo sixty four or
and then you know GameCube with game Boy Advance, we
with DS we U with the three D s And
then I said, all right, f it, We're just doing
(30:08):
one skew, one model of a thing, just because I
think that's been its best selling point is you can
take it with you on the go, especially traveling. That's
especially with the Steam Deck the same thing. But I
think you are right that, like for a lot of
people who have switches, I think really this April presentation
(30:28):
needs to be what what is the selling actual selling
points of me buying the console? Minus it looks more adult,
you know.
Speaker 3 (30:37):
I will say, though, the comparisons between the switch to
and the Steam Deck, I think are I don't say irresponsible,
because I feel like you get a Steam Deck, you
need some base form of computer knowledgetendo, you just to
get out and play.
Speaker 1 (30:51):
Yeah, I mean that's that's definitely a thing too with
os is, which is, you know, the actual programs that
run the consoles. But I do think as of right now,
if you look just as this ad and you know works,
people are excited. I would say, if I'm a preorder
or not a little bit, this does look like more
like what a Nintendo Switch Pro based on just what
(31:12):
the actual model looks like is versus it's new and revolutionary.
But look at how you know, the Xbox one and
PS four went to their new models and how they
kind of look too exactly.
Speaker 3 (31:25):
And that's why I said, like, you know, we'll go
back to the steam Deck comparison. If I'm knocking a room,
I have to choose steam Deck, go and switch to.
I'm getting switch to because I don't feel like the
amount of work that goes into programming my team that's
actually work. Granted, it is simple. It's not as hard
as like, you know, doing the emulated stuff on your computer,
but it is not. But it's not as simple as
getting your switch, downloading the game and launching.
Speaker 1 (31:47):
It and taking it with it wherever you go, wherever
you go.
Speaker 3 (31:51):
You know, And that's what still gonna be the main
sounding point of this is that you download the games
play wherever you go. But like any other system, no
matter how good or bad it is all depends on
the games. Yeah, that'sbody want to come comes down to.
And we have Metro Prime four coming, we have uh,
the new Mario Car coming, new Mario game is coming,
(32:11):
and I mean Mario is almost at this point kind
of like Disney. People love it.
Speaker 1 (32:17):
Yeah, I think so that's the thing I think with
it is the Nintendo Switch to I think also as
if it being better OS and you know, better everything
from what we're being told or rumored is if it
can play games like an Elder Ring, which is rumored
like that's wild, Like if you can play it on
a Nintendo system, that it is like you said, you know,
(32:39):
a Steam deck is simpler than a PC, but a
Nintendo Switch is simpler than a Steam deck to you know,
to a degree at least that you can play Elder
Ring and it looks decent. Not how like a lot
of with the Switch games that were third party, Mortal
Kombat being the biggest one where Mario Kombat got dogged on,
you know, like it's yes.
Speaker 3 (32:59):
I'm sorry, I'm just guess I didn't know this. This
put in the check Mario eight years.
Speaker 1 (33:04):
Yeah, the switches. The switch is eight years old, like
twenty seventeens when the switch case, so like this it's
time to have a new switch. For sure, we had
the we had the old lead switches in the mini
in that switch minis you know, which is perfect. That's
to sell the console more than anything, this being an
upgrade as far as we know, like the speculation until
we get the stuff in April, like this is gonna
(33:26):
be good. And I think hopefully that is a new
Mario Kart and isn't Mario Kart eight Deluxe Deluxe, and
like we added more maps into the booster backs. No,
just give us a new one.
Speaker 3 (33:38):
Gift cards?
Speaker 1 (33:38):
Yeah, all right, cool, great, But uh I think for me,
I'm probably gonna pre order it. Obviously it'll get announced
in eight or the presentation is April second. I'm assuming
pre orders will go up around then that week and
then track record. Same thing happened Nintendo Switch. I think
it was a February and April. I think this is
(33:58):
kind of the same track record for direct and then release,
so June ish is probably when it come out. I think, yeah,
I think right now, sure my switch doesn't get a
lot of playtime, but just because there isn't a lot
of Tears of the Kingdom, which we talked about a
couple of weeks ago, that it was just too much game,
you know, but like give me a new Mario Kart.
Hell yeah I can get it, and more can get
(34:20):
into that. Anybody can get into that.
Speaker 3 (34:21):
You know, some reason why stop playing Starfield? It was
too much game? Like okay, so this is this is
a massive game, and there's so much to do that
I don't I don't know what to do next. So
with this though, is this is the same thing as
the last one, like the switch interface. I'll tell you
what if the switch one had came out and the
interface has been hard to decipher on so well, it
(34:43):
is so easy to bringe through the switch Like this
is so easy. Yeah, you know what I mean. And
this is gonna probably be the same thing. But it's
just even smoothing the last one. What I can't even
can't even fathom because even like even going through the
menus on PS five and Xbox, it's not hard per se.
But if you've ever seen it before, it's kind of like, okay,
what is this?
Speaker 1 (35:00):
Well yeah, well, I mean I got the PS five
what last year I was like, oh, Okay, I know
I'm not I'm used to. I think the Nintendo definitely
keeps it simple with the OS and everything. But yeah,
I mean I think it's obviously Kevin is not gonna
buy something if it doesn't make sense for the fam.
I think so too, Like I have a little more
slab income than Kevin does to buy these things.
Speaker 3 (35:22):
You know, what if some if they figure out a
way to make roadblocks on next on switch to, I'll.
Speaker 1 (35:28):
Be maybe that's you know, we just have to wait
till Yeah, but I think that's definitely like a Christmas
holiday push for your fam is whatever game comes out
with it, It's not gonna be until that November game
comes out. Then it's like, all right, well Leah knows
about blank, so we gotta get the switch. You know.
Speaker 3 (35:46):
You're gonna be a console gamer. Is not working man.
Speaker 1 (35:49):
Yeah, I think I have to.
Speaker 3 (35:50):
Break down, get her, just get her a PC.
Speaker 1 (35:51):
This might be a team. Deck's gonna be too thick,
I think for her to hold on to.
Speaker 3 (35:57):
But you know she can't keep her her iPad.
Speaker 1 (36:00):
I'm not gem, but Kevin, let's get into sort of
some predictive things with it. Obviously, you know, we got
new three months really uh un till we get there.
But we did have our Fantasy game draft last or
two weeks ago, I guess and your boy made the
(36:20):
right decision. I picked unannounced Mario Kart game, which all
intents and purposes looks like the launch game to come
out with a Nintendo Switch. What are launch games you
think need to come out with intenda switch, whether it
is first party or third party, And this isn't We're
not we're doing window yet. We're talking like first few
(36:40):
weeks it comes out. What games need to be popping
or playable on that minus what's already playable on the switch.
Speaker 3 (36:47):
I mean, along with the unannounced Mario game, Mario Kart
games to come out, what we're with it, it needs
to be like one in one A.
Speaker 1 (36:55):
Yeah, I think Kart we know is coming and we
assume that is a launch game, because why would you
show that without it being you know, part of the
coming out and to tease you like that, obviously, I
drafted the Mario game, which seems like that'll be the
reverse of or actually the probably falling the same model
then actually as a switch where obviously came out in
(37:15):
the fall too.
Speaker 3 (37:15):
So yeah, so that needs to come out with it.
I'm not sure what is what does the remember release
day from metroy so twenty twenty five, that may not
be a lunch title, but if it was it this
will sell a lot as many as it will sell
with Mario's launch chitle, sell more metroy Prime for as
as a launch title as well. And then also, like
(37:37):
like I said, you need to play the hits here,
so Mario Mario Kart, metroy Prime, Mario Party needs to
be another one that comes out with it.
Speaker 1 (37:44):
Yeah, we're also at the point too of Mario Party
that it seems kind of yearly we're getting an iteration
of Mario Party. I know. That's that was kind of
a later thing of the life of the Switch was
that we got one of my I don't know the
names off the top of my head, Superstars and Jamboree,
and then there was another one that was like back
to back to back. Yeah, I think that's cool. The
(38:07):
interesting thing is like with the switch to playing Switch games,
it'll be interest see what they deem is, well, that's
a switch to exclusive versus a switch everybody can play thing,
because then you can kind of know if the graphics
are there because like, obviously you would assume things will
look better on switch too, but well games play better
on switch to is I mean they will, but like
(38:29):
do I need to get it to play this game
and make it look good? You know?
Speaker 3 (38:33):
And another thing that's all great about Nintendo and my
mum as I love Sony and Xbox backwards compatible, so
we're actual real thing with Nintendo. Yeah, just the thing
you have to pay for thankfully, well you have to
pay for it you don't have the game, but if
you already have the game, might pop right in and play,
which was a cool thing Nintendo does with Sony and
Microsoft or take.
Speaker 1 (38:51):
Yeah, and the interesting thing is because we kind of
experienced this with Xbox One in PS four into their
five and obviously series X they had if you on
the game, you get the PS five, the four K
version of that, so I'll be interesting you Switch does
the same thing because we're all kind of used to
that of like, if you own Tiers the Kingdom, you
get the upgraded version for free, or Nintendo does do this. Hey,
(39:15):
if you want to play the nice versions, you got
to buy the bundle of ref of the Wild and
Tiers of the Kingdom only for Nintendo switch to you know, but.
Speaker 3 (39:24):
Back in the day, I remember, you couldn't. You could
not buy a Super Nintendo without buying Super Mario basis,
you couldn't do it. You're about Superintendent. You're getting Super
Mario and Super Mario All Stars, those coming with there's
no You're getting them like it or not, so you
can't get rid of the cut the.
Speaker 1 (39:40):
Price down like I think so too. Like obviously Nintendo's
release year as of right now we knew like we
knew unannounced games and Nintendo Michael chat Side Blake Chronicles
X Obviously the Parker going to announce a couple games
during this and kind of maybe in lieu of their
E three a little bit at least for the launch window.
(40:01):
I wouldn't be surprised. It's ken kind of rumored that
this is where we're gonna start seeing those big third
party crossovers that have been promised for a while. Like
like we just said, Eldon Ring, I wouldn't put it
past them for putting Halo the Master Chief Collection on there.
If Xbox said it's gonna work with Nintendo because it
had to sign a deal. When about Call of Duty
(40:22):
saying it is gonna bring Call of Duty to every console.
Maybe Xbox is like, hey, everything's in Xbox. Here's our
flagship Master Chief collection that surely you'll play because it's
it's like ten years old now by.
Speaker 3 (40:34):
Now that's a good thing to do too, because I mean,
like I say, Corom every other every other, every other platform,
So why not why not? Nope, you're you want to go,
pull to a library, you sit down and play a
couple of couple of rounds of Call of Duty.
Speaker 1 (40:49):
Yeah, or even I think I think Halo two is cool,
because like that is a good like Halo one through
three at least, like those are old games, but they
can definitely run mobile. Now that like you have your
safe states, you're gonna go, and hey, maybe you love
master Tif more that you can play it on the go,
you know, also.
Speaker 3 (41:08):
Be great if they maybe even did that with a
certain effective mass mess reality put that game on it.
Speaker 1 (41:14):
Well, yeah, and that's a good the good point to
mass effect. Legendary edition. You can do that, I mean,
because it's one through three a little upscaled, but like
if this console can play elden Ring, it can definitely
play any game that has a collection that came out
at one point on Xbox one or PlayStation.
Speaker 3 (41:32):
Now I'm not familiar. I'n to ask you this question too,
because I don't I don't I have to switch meeting.
I don't have to want to watch joy cons come off?
Can you are you able to with the next one
if you want to go? Can you take the joy
cons out and put them in that one controller base?
Speaker 1 (41:47):
Yes, they did show off they have. It's a new
little controller stay and I assume they'll probably launch a
new pro pro controller. Most likely that'll be like eighty
bucks again, like how their original one was. It is
like different formation than how the old like the Nintendo
switch was just like a kind of a cheap piece
of plastic more than anything. I'd assume this one's a
(42:08):
little nicer. But yeah, like you just have a screen up.
I know a lot of Uber and Lyft drivers have
that little like you know, they made their own TV
stand in the back of your head rest that you like,
you don't want to touch because you're not sure if
it will charge you anything. Like you can do that
the back of your car, just hopefully your spouse or
partner is willing to drive you everywhere while you're playing
(42:29):
Switch in.
Speaker 3 (42:29):
The bag because the only thing I have concerned about
is when playing was getting like Alvian Rain Call of
Duty halos that we play this game usually you gripping
up to it a little bit tighter, you know what
I mean? Switching Well, yeah it happened, but.
Speaker 1 (42:42):
You know, yeah, I think that the rumor is maybe
Red Dead two might come finally now. Granted, will it
look like how it is on a PS five, No,
probably not, but playable. I mean Red Dead two came
out on Xbox One, so I think anything that came
out on that system kind of lit miss test is
it should be playable on switch to Could you imagine
(43:05):
playing g T A six now that DJ six will
not be on the switch to bro That's gonna be
a very like it's but g T A five true
because we have the trilogy of yours on there already.
Speaker 3 (43:18):
It'll be is what it's tense system? If it does that?
Speaker 1 (43:21):
Yeah, why not?
Speaker 3 (43:22):
It's been on ten, It's been on for generations at
this point point.
Speaker 1 (43:26):
It could not. It could. I think a good thing
would be maybe those modern Assassin Creed games that didn't
you know, Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla could be good ports
over there. Too. You know, I think that there's potential.
You know, it's just really based on that April presentation.
Show me what you got and then we'll show you
what we want to work with. You know what you got?
Speaker 3 (43:48):
Yeah, I do think though this this will become again,
it won't. I don't think it out out to PS
five just because of the timing of its nod in Nextbox,
I had a what like a three or four year
head start at this point. But it's gonna sell a lot.
It's going to sell a lot of these things, just
and I said, just because the ease of use when
it comes to Nintendo software intento hardware, it's just the
(44:11):
hardest thing they've released to use in the past twenty
years is the Wei. The only that was hard because
you have to figure out what a stupid pointer was
on the screen.
Speaker 1 (44:19):
I damn my, damn motion control little Sticky isn't working,
damn it.
Speaker 3 (44:25):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (44:25):
So now with the games, say, Mario Kart's coming out great.
I know a lot of people are like, oh, doctor Collins, different,
it is what it is. Do you release two heavy
hitters or do you have Mario Kart be the heavy hitter?
And then it's all the upgraded versions of things. You
think for at least that first we'll say first month
(44:46):
at least.
Speaker 3 (44:47):
I would say that. So heavy hitters, you know, the
Mario Party, a Mario Kart, Mental Prime. Then you release
you can get you know, upscale versions of maybe Zelda,
and then show Zelda's new release date because it's coming
out maybe this holiday.
Speaker 1 (45:01):
Yeah, because the rumor is right now, Zelda is supposed
to be I think either an Ankarina a Time remake
or wind Waker remake. That could be something that releases
on both of them. And then you're like, bo, we're
working on the next Zelda in six years, like how
we did with Tears of the Kingdom.
Speaker 3 (45:18):
Give me a link to the past remake, man, that'd
be awesome.
Speaker 1 (45:20):
I think. Let me see, let me look it up
for that remake. Oh that's good. Take me down a
deep dive. I don't want to go too, but yeah,
I think I think those have been rumored. Twilight Princess
is another one, like they're kind of just been like
we know they're there, but where are they? I think honestly,
(45:42):
Metroid Prime, while it makes sense of its separately, I
think release it launched with Mario Kart because it's like,
all right, here's your fun party ish game and then
here is your first person whatever. We'll hopefully get another
trail for it, shooter eague type game that you have
your solo game and your your friend's game. The one
(46:04):
game I snipper Clips snipper Clips too. That's why I
want to come out came out of the original, you know.
Speaker 3 (46:10):
The one game announcement that would give me, not the
pre order, but definitely planning to get it during the
holiday if they announced it. I have heard anything about
his game in years. They bring back star Fox, I'm like, I'm.
Speaker 1 (46:20):
To get Yeah, I mean that.
Speaker 3 (46:22):
Star Fox so much.
Speaker 1 (46:24):
What the hell is Captain Falcon. I know that's not
the franchise Falcon.
Speaker 3 (46:28):
He don't have zero zero.
Speaker 1 (46:29):
Yeah, I would get confused because they're like, yeah, there's
f zero maps on Smash Bros. Those are like just
two characters that are just like yeah, you know for
Spash Bros. At this point, like you know, you don't
need to play their games, Like yeah, I think we
do need to play their games.
Speaker 3 (46:41):
Thought, I love star Fox so much Super Nintendo and
then I didn't have it. But I actually remember one
time I actually went to Blockbuster and run it to
my next one. Neighbors have to play on the sixty four.
I would want to play Star Fox because it's not
Star Wars like Rogues Barking, but it's the closest thing
you can get to it if you don't have that game.
Speaker 1 (47:00):
M hmm, this is so much fun star fucks. But yeah,
I think, like we said, it's, it's it's because I
remember when Switch launched, it was Breath the Wild, and
then I think like maybe a month later, Mario Kart
eight Deluxe came out, and then it was all the
indie games, and Switch was great for indie games. Mind
you were not accounting for maybe we'll finally get Hollow Night.
(47:22):
Silk Song will come out with the Switch Too comes out,
you know, finally.
Speaker 3 (47:27):
I don't think Hollow Night will come out until like
the Switch seven.
Speaker 1 (47:32):
Man. Man, here's the thing, Kevin, your boy has faith
and I drafted it in the draft. So we one
of us drafted that game each year past five, and
we will continue to draft it gets picked. But I
think that is a cool third party game to come out,
and we already said Halo maybe it is kind of
(47:53):
coming out in June you. Maybe we finally bring all
the sports games back. I know FIFA has been on
the switch for a while, but Madden, maybe your w
W two k's no. I know the two K on
switch was real bad because I had it and it
was real bad. But maybe now the time we can
do that.
Speaker 3 (48:11):
For for the first time in a while. Now the
show's coming on the Xbox maybe even though, man, it
will be the show be a great man.
Speaker 1 (48:15):
And that's a perfect round right around that. I mean,
you'll announced that it's coming whenever the switch launches. But like,
hell yeah, I can dinger mobiley.
Speaker 3 (48:24):
You know, I would love to go to a Orioles
game and play that will be the show. An Orioles
game in Oriel Park. That would be so meta. I
would love to do that. Actually, all right, all right, bad,
who's that bad?
Speaker 1 (48:35):
Right now? Let me switch them in?
Speaker 3 (48:36):
All right?
Speaker 1 (48:37):
And oh he missed it, but he got it in
real life? So which one do I want more to happen?
Speaker 3 (48:42):
He watch this, watch this, I'll gallup make you hit
that ball, damnit, kind of like turfing.
Speaker 1 (48:48):
Inches the kid game gear control.
Speaker 3 (48:52):
What happened? All right?
Speaker 1 (48:54):
So we talked about games. We kind of talked about
features to a degree, it's got to just look better.
The hidden button A lot of people are The rumor
is that it might cast to your TV, so instead
of you having a docket, you hit the button and it.
I don't know how that works. That's the whole techno thing.
That's a I think we need a presentation to figure
out how that works before we talk more about that
(49:15):
price point, Kevin, how much if now, obviously you said
you're gonna get a day one, but how much do
you think the Antenna Switch two will cost when it
launches based on what we know so.
Speaker 3 (49:26):
Far, like I already spoiled us. Actually no, I didn't
look at it, so, but I would say anywhere between
four and four fifty because Nintendo's notoriously usually pretty good
about that price.
Speaker 1 (49:40):
Yeah, pretty reasonable for families.
Speaker 3 (49:42):
Yeah, yeah, even like the Wii, which was again i'll
go back to the Wii, a break through form of
home the cause of entertainment, doesn'tly. I think it was
two fifty.
Speaker 1 (49:52):
I think it was.
Speaker 3 (49:53):
It wasn't really compared to at the time Pspre was
like six hundred. Yeah, I mean Switch was three hundred. Switch.
Speaker 1 (49:59):
I think it was ninety nine. I think yeah, when
it launch switched launch price, uh oh three three fifty okay,
cool plus all the bells and whistles all that good stuff.
So yeah, I mean four hundred. I think every every
console loves the ninety nine. I'll do three ninety nine.
(50:19):
I think, yeah makes sense if it is a next step. Yeah,
it's gotta be more money, and then maybe you discount
the switch and switch light and all the other ones
to like, you know, one hundred and fifty, and then
you'll definitely get them people selling and buy them things.
You know.
Speaker 3 (50:35):
Yeah, yeah, we was launch at two fifty. You think
that you think that ten switch is the best other console?
Now wait till they discounted.
Speaker 1 (50:43):
Yeah, they're like, all right, well that's the thing. I
was two ninety nine was a base O led was
three fifty one nine was light is I remember when
the switch came out and the switch and it I
don't remember if what the turnaround window was, but it
was like you could have got the new three DS
or maybe it was three D S and two and
all that stuff because you buy a three DS and
(51:04):
then the DS was like dirt cheap. When when that happens,
I think, do the same thing.
Speaker 3 (51:13):
As much as I love the switch, I love what
it's done for games, and I get it's kind of
a game Boy. I kind of missed a game Boy,
you know what I mean. I don't know why. Maybe
it's just my nostalgic heart, but my nostalgia motion like
an Inside Out two is coming out in my mind now,
I kind of missed it having a game Boy option,
you know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (51:29):
Well, you got it big, It's right here, Kevin. You
don't need this. That's your phone. You got this.
Speaker 3 (51:33):
Yeah, actually I have Game Brothers on my phone. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (51:36):
I figured you did.
Speaker 3 (51:38):
About it.
Speaker 1 (51:39):
But I think also, like if you have a family
and you have a switch, if you have one, Kevin,
luckily you know they have the switch and then a
switch light for Leah. Like, if you have a switch,
that is a good opportunity for you to hey, kid
or relative or you know, friend of kid or whatever.
Here's my switch. I getting the new one the A
(52:01):
don't want here, you can have the old one passed
down to you. You know. Hello, fellow youth, Hello, fellow youth.
Would you like a console that came out eight years
ago but still has the games? Here? You go? You
don't care about graphics.
Speaker 3 (52:11):
Okay, great, the switch the first one is gonna have
a lot of replayability for a long time.
Speaker 1 (52:17):
Yeah, I mean, well, yeah, they're having that the crossover play,
cross play whatever, cross play whatever, backwards compatibility technically probably
for at least two years until it's a game that
says switch to exclusively, so which I wouldn't. I would
assume will be probably like Mario whatever, the new Mario
(52:38):
Odyssey sequel is will be switched to exclusive because that
will make you buy a console when it comes out
in the holidays, and like, of course that one.
Speaker 3 (52:47):
Will be, but there'll be some games are probably so
they'll they'll maybe.
Speaker 1 (52:50):
Release yeah, Metro Prime four will be both. Yeah, just
because it's been so long. I mean, I would assume
they're like, oh, yeah, we'll give it to you just
in case you don't have the money. Mario Kart is
interesting because if it is rumored to have I've seen
people say twenty four players in one race, which is
a rumor. That's gonna be a little hard to do
(53:10):
on the switch. So who knows, And that's kind of
you're making two games that are different.
Speaker 3 (53:14):
But yeah, oh, Mario cart to Go To Go To
NASCAR Road, they're gonna do that.
Speaker 1 (53:17):
I also want forty l forty lap races. Well, that's
the fun thing is if it's like it's like Baby
Park in Mario cart eight Deluxe. You're like, I was
crank this up to ten laps and they're like, what laugh?
Am I on? I don't remember anymore? Items are going crazy, dude.
Speaker 3 (53:33):
Back in the day, I have to come home from
school sometimes on lock in and I would do a
full five hundred on Nascar thunder.
Speaker 1 (53:38):
Like I'll see you later, I'll be back here in
about four hours.
Speaker 3 (53:42):
I would stop. I was I would you know, the
race would end. I would have out the deep head
and printed in my phone like an hour afterwards. It
was just gone.
Speaker 1 (53:52):
But yeah, I mean overall, I think this isn't gonna
be breaking the bank alla a PS five and an
AX Back Series X, but you know, definitely save up
for it. I think pre orders won't go up until
they do the direct because that's when they'll do the
price reveal and all that good stuff. I think there
is supposed to be one more Nintendo Switch based directs,
(54:14):
so just original before they announced the future so obviously
don't get your hype up when you see that, because
it's just like, okay, here's what we got coming out
still for the Switch until then, but it is a
fun time. I think. You know, the last Nintendo console,
real big Nintendo console, not iteration, came out eight years ago.
So you know, when Nintendo announces the next generation of
(54:36):
the console, it is a big move. You know, who
we go from this to this to this to this.
Speaker 3 (54:43):
It is a big move. And I'm happy that it
kind of thinks to what works too because I remember
from GameCube to we to we You and it kind
of just kind of swinging for the swinging kind of
kind of works. They hit on it, but do we
you and it just they just kind of went a
step further with this Witch. So I'm happy to kind
of keep that going.
Speaker 1 (55:01):
Oh yeah, they failed with the WU and then ultimately
Switch saved him because you remember, and that's the funny thing.
A lot of people are like, they didn't really show
anything with this switch video. It's like, yeah, the same
thing as a switch. Like you remember for the Switch
when they first announced it, they should they had that
long commercial was like take it to a party, you
can separate the controllers, all this stuff like this one, like,
you know what it is.
Speaker 3 (55:21):
It's just better, bigger better. It's better than mister incredible.
Moment that line from Incredibles.
Speaker 1 (55:28):
He is bigger.
Speaker 3 (55:29):
It isn't better too much for mister incredible.
Speaker 1 (55:32):
Like, oh, okay, I see where we're going here. But yeah,
fun times. I think anything too. If it comes out
in June during Summer game Fest, give us that. You know,
that magic time of June again. You know it's a
new console coming out, all the good stuff.
Speaker 3 (55:45):
No more.
Speaker 1 (55:45):
Three, you get a switch though, You get a switch though,
Twitch three, Twitch two. Okay, I was confused. He doesn't
know what it is anymore.
Speaker 3 (55:54):
A couple of quick things here before we wrap up
here breaking news. It's a billion dollar movie, a lot
of two one point zero two billion dollars.
Speaker 1 (56:04):
Well, haven't seen it. I'll see it when it's on
Disney Plus. Baby coming to now.
Speaker 3 (56:08):
I'm pretty sure there was only in theaters like hit
that billion dollar mark now probably on Disney Plus, probably
by March, the beginning of March.
Speaker 1 (56:14):
President Day.
Speaker 3 (56:16):
President that's good too, that's good too, and also real quick.
According to reports, New Captain America has the shortest run
time off for Captain American movies for probably being only
one hundred and eighteen minutes, which yeah, it's like two
hour fifty eight fifty eight yeah, yeah, yeah, it doesn't
have to be ever lasting. That'll table to you forever.
(56:37):
It doesn't have to be.
Speaker 1 (56:37):
Let me tell you, Kevin, them fifty shades darker movies.
I'm in the middle of them. Three your reviews of
those so far, I would love to hear those. They
are two long. Well, we'll get to the third once
I finished the third one. I'm gonna talk about all
three of them collectively. Uh, but I have like I
do short things on just on Instagram. We're actually the
last one tonight, so hopefully by Thursday we'll be talked about.
We talked about the podcast, but they're way too damn
(56:59):
long what they are, and I'm like, let's just get
through it. Why are we still talking about this thing?
Speaker 3 (57:04):
Amazing that they started off as Twilight fan fiction and
then now they would full flip this better.
Speaker 1 (57:11):
You know, Fourth Wing the appearance SERI is better. I'm
saying it here. Get the book comes out on Tuesday.
Speaker 3 (57:15):
That's a lot better than watching that series in general.
Speaker 1 (57:18):
Oh, I got the third one and it's funny as
we watched the second one and more hasn't pushed to
watch the third one, like, well, that's not good, Like
we gotta finish it.
Speaker 3 (57:27):
Guld you with a classic. Now I'm good.
Speaker 1 (57:29):
Well, guess why it's on peacocks, so we gotta watch it,
but we'll be back on Thursday. Find out did I
survive trying to find a book in a bookstore in
twenty twenty five? What happened in them fifty shades books
according to MOI? And just did Kevin beat Mass Effect
two already within two days? No, it's my quickest time
(57:51):
is like thirty eight hours, so you could get it
in twenty four. Watch some feed runs and just follow
what they do. Kevin, if I didn't have a have
an almost won ying role to be a lot easier. I.
You haven't gotta work tomorrow, you off tomorrow. Probably all right,
we got plenty of time. All right, there you go. Anyway,
have a great week. You can follow us at Infinite
Underscore Pods just for a distraction from everything's happening this week.
(58:12):
We know it's gonna be crazy in DC's fences everywhere,
so just probably just avoid DC for the next two
weeks or so you know, come out of Baltimore. We
have no what's up empty Kevin's confused directions down is Richmond,
but uh, you could always follow us there at Infinite
Score pods, Twitch dot tv, YouTube dot com, Slash Infinite
(58:33):
Underscore pods as well. But as always, my name is
a Hoodie and you've officially listened to this Nintendo filled
episode what keV crisis on Infinite On Come
Speaker 3 (58:55):
BackStar fucks please
