(00:00):
Tyler Lockett is with us. Howare you, man? Man, I'm
doing good. Are you good?To see you? Number two in yards?
Number two in touchdowns, number twoin receptions. We figure you got
to play about three or four moreyears to catch largers. What do you
think you want to keep going to? You catch number eighty one year at
a time, one year at atime. But I will say it's a
blessing going into your team, man, because when you really think about it,

(00:21):
they say that most of our careersis going to be three and a
half. That's the average in theNFL. And so for me to be
able to go into your teen,I mean, it's not too many guys
that are still in my class thatare playing at receiver in year ten.
So it's truly a blessing just tostill be playing. You know, it's
unusual that you get an offensive coordinator, Tyler, that your fans probably know
better than you do when when hecomes into the room. I mean,

(00:44):
we've seen a lot of Ryan Grubbover the last couple years, and we
like what we see. So whatstands out to you about coach Grubb?
Man? I think I just thinkhe's smart. Like I mean, if
I could be honest. Imagine we'rein high school. He's the ap teacher.
Wow. Wow, He's the personwhere it's like you go in there
and you're like, bro, Ithought I knew this, but like,

(01:06):
you're teaching us this game a wholedifferent type of way. You're allowing us
to see it a whole different typeof way. He's already like ten steps
ahead of other people. So Imean just the way that he forecast the
offense, the way that he seesit, the way that he runs it.
I think it was amazing when youwatch like everybody that you dubbed,
like how in sync they were, how well they knew the offense. If
everybody does their part in really beingable to dial down and learn the offense,

(01:34):
I think that we're going to bea really, really great team because
the offense is really a great offense. Well, let's talk about that.
What do you want to do thisyear offensively as a unit that you guys
did not do a year ago.I mean, I'm one. I think
it's got to be run the ball. We got to run the ball better.
And I mean when I think aboutmyself as an individual, because first
I try to look at me rightbecause if I'm not doing my part,

(01:57):
then I can't get on other peopleto do their part. I gotta do
better at being able to block.I think that's one of the biggest things
for me because I know there's someblocks out there where if I can get
my guy, I know Knin orZach is out there, I know they're
going to score. I know they'regoing to get explosive players. We've seen
them do it day in and dayout each and every week. And so
for me, I want to definitelyget better in the blocking game. Yep.

(02:19):
I want to get better in thecontested catches. And just when I
watch film, I want to beable to be happy with what I see
when I look at myself, andso I think that's me looking at myself
in the mirror saying this is whatI want you to do better at.
I want to work on just beingable to catch the ball a lot better
throughout the week. Like you know, I had to drop out there today
in practice. So like for me, I got to keep myself accountable because

(02:42):
when you're in your ten sometimes youdon't have people that's going to keep you
accountable. Right They're like, oh, he's the old head he's been here.
Boy, you gotta be able tosteal, find motivation and still keep
yourself going. And even if youain't got it, you still got to
figure out how to get it done. So as far as our offense as
a whole, man, I justthink my biggest thing that I'm opon is
just know your stuff, yep.Because because once everybody knows their stuff,

(03:04):
I mean, the quarterback can justplay pitch and catch. He doesn't have
to worry about if we're gonna runthe right route or how we're gonna get
open. He can easily go throughhis progressions and he knows that he could
let the ball fly with trust thatwe're gonna make that play. Tyler Lockett
joining us and Tyler DK is absolutelyunbelievable. We watch him with all every
single game, and yet we allfeel like there's there's just more in there.

(03:28):
There's more to unlock in DK.Do you feel that as well?
And if so, what is thereto unlock and how we get it done?
Man? I just think that whenDK gets the opportunity to get the
ball in his hands, I thinkit's gonna be amazing for everybody just to
be able to watch because he canmake any single play. He could run
any route that you need him torun. He can get open versus man

(03:50):
the man if you go trips rightand it's one on one on the backside,
no doubt in my mind, Iknow he's gonna be able to get
open. I know he's gonna beable to make the play. Personally,
I just think the only thing thatseparates him from all the other receivers that
get most of the credit is thathis targets aren't the same as all the
other guys targets. And I thinkif DK gets those same amount of targets,

(04:12):
I think DK goes for fifteen hundredseventeen hundred, Wow, because he's
that great of a receiver. Ijust think that, you know, for
us being in with the Seahawks forso long, we're all sharing targets and
you don't really see that a lotwhen you look at other receivers. You're
gonna have more receivers have way moretargets than the next person. But when
you're on a team that shares theball a lot and we run the ball

(04:34):
a lot, it kind of makesit harder to be in those conversations.
But I definitely think that even whenyou look at the targets that he had.
I think he played phenomenal. Hemade plays after plays, catch out
the catch to be able to helpus win games last year. And it
was really fun to watch because Isaw how much better he's gotten. And

(04:54):
that says a lot because he wasalready really good when he came into the
league. Well, Tyler Locket iswith us other radio sh what I gotta
tell you, just sitting down withyou, you look exactly the same as
you did ten years it. Doesyou have an age today? Man?
It's unbelievable. But do you feelit? Do you feel being a ten
year vet? You do you needto work on your body, do things
differently than maybe you did when youwere twenty two years old. Yeah?

(05:15):
Well, I think a lot ofthat is I look young when I get
a haircut. You just got ahair on. Yeah, I got a
haircut, so I definitely look young. But I mean, obviously, when
you get into your team, man, like, some things do start to
change a little bit. But Ithink for me, the biggest difference is
just you can't go out there andnot stretch like that. Now you just
got to make sure that you stretchit doesn't mean that you're not gonna be

(05:39):
as productive as you used to be. But sometimes you can go through a
whole two and a half hour practicewithout even stretching, and you just run
around and you're good. But nowyou got to be able to stretch the
bones out, like be able toreally work on yourself and and have like
those things for the first thirty minutesbefore practice that you do just to get
your body going. So I thinkfor me, it's really no different.

(06:00):
I mean, obviously there's some littlethings that I want to be able to
work on, some things that Ican continue to get better at. But
I mean, like I said, man, your team comes with new opportunities,
comes with new obstacles, but I'mgonna keep trying to run through each
and every one. Let me askyou about your other partner in crime out
there, JSN. Tell me aboutJSN now and how he's different than when

(06:23):
you saw him in mini camp lastyear. Man, I think Jsn's had
one of the best offseasons. Justlooking at him in OTA's He's made almost
every single catch that they throw himthe ball he's gotten open, whether it
was short routes, whether it wasmid routes, or deep routes, Like
he's really in sync with Geno, and you can be able to tell when

(06:43):
he's out there running routes, whenhe's out there getting open, he understands
the offense. He's done a reallygreat job just being able to dial in
and hone in on the offense, understanding his assignments, exactly where he's at.
And I mean, honestly, Ithink even when I watched him in
camp last year, you could tellthe reason why we drafted him at first
round, because like he really startedto take off when we were in camp,

(07:06):
and it was just unfortunate that youknow, he had to like kind
of sit out for a little bitbecause he was really in syncing. He
was really taken off. And sonow when I'm comparing how he was in
camp and how he is now,I mean, you could tell he's taking
a huge lead, and I thinkhe's really like did everything that he could
to be able to be where heneeds to be the offseason. Well,

(07:28):
the vibe here for a long timewas pretty obvious, right, it was
happy, it was positive, there'sa basketball hoop in the team room.
But now that's gone. How isthe vibe different with coach Mack and his
staff versus what you saw your firstnine years in the NFL. I mean,
you know, it's it's completely different. I mean, at the same
time, I think that when youlook at coach Mike, you know,
this is his first year, butI think he's doing a great job with

(07:51):
getting all of us to hone inon structure, being able to get all
of us to buy in. Ithink that's the biggest thing as a team
and as players and as number oneis that you got to be able to
buy in. And when you buyin, that's gonna come with adjustments.
And sometimes that's hard because when you'reso used to something for however long that
you've been with another coach, it'sso hard to do the very opposite.

(08:13):
And so you almost have to beable to renew your mind and say,
all right, I'm gonna buy in. And I know this might be difficult,
but I believe and what it isthat this person is trying to do
and accomplish, right, And sonow we got to get everybody else on
board, and so I think everythingthat they bring is much needed. Yep.
I think that, you know,it is more so like a college

(08:33):
structure again, but you know,I think that that's what we need as
a team, a structure. Letme ask you this because you mentioned it
was much needed. You're not thefirst person that has used those words.
Pete was phenomenal, right, greatesthead coach and seek history and maybe the
best head coach the city has everseen in any sport. We're things getting
a little stale around here. Nah, I don't think things were getting stale.

(08:56):
I think Pee did a fabulous joband I think he's an amazing coach,
one of my top three most favoritecoaches to be able to play for.
You look at him and Coach Snyder. I think their structures are different,
and I don't. I don't thinkthat one structure is bad than the
other. I just think the thingthat I loved about Pete so much is
that he had this philosophy that waslike, I don't want you to be

(09:18):
or convert into what I want youto be. I want you to be
your best self. So it doesn'tmatter how you are, how you come
to play, I just want toI just want the best from you.
And so some people are quiet, some people you know, or jokes,
or some people are super serious. But it didn't matter. He was like,
however you have to be to playgreat. I want you to do
that. And the structure that hegave came with a lot of freedom.

(09:41):
But sometimes you want to give playersfreedom because they'll show you who you are
with freedom more than structure ever will. And so you know, it was
a different type of structure that camewith it, and I think that we
did great with each and every daynow with Mike, I think that,
you know, this structure is muchneeded because even though it's different now,
it's making everybody have to buy inso much more earlier. And because this

(10:03):
is new for Vince as well asnew for the second year players and rookies,
we all got to be able tobuy in together at the same time.
Yeah, fifty six games behind Largentfor the most games ever played as
a wide receiver, but you're onlyfourteen behind Baldwin for number two. So
go get Dug man. Don't getDug this year. Man. Hey,
congratulations on all your success, dude. It's been awesome to watch you grow

(10:26):
as a man at a player, and really impossible I think Dick would agree
for us to imagine you playing anywhereelse besides right year in Seattle. So
best of luck this year kick Assys, Fox Soon Man, thanks so much.
